I recently purchased a new Beta motorcycle from Pro Cycles and was very happy with the overall experience. They provided several updates throughout the process so I knew the status of the arrival of the new machine. Also, at time of delivery they were organized and well prepared to finalize the transaction. In addition, they were also sure to fully go over the machine, service requirements of the machine, and the warranty provided at time of delivery. Their full staff was friendly, polite, and professional at all times and I look forward to visiting them again for further purchases or service and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
Great shop with a great team! Im a new rider that got a flat tire just a few weeks into owning my bike. The staff here helped me figure out how to get my bike to the shop safely and replaced the tires, oil, and gave it an inspection and had me back on the road the day after they got the bike. Super glad to have such a great shop so close to home.
Owner is the best mechanic I know and also is a mentor to many others. He is also a leader and teacher to many motorcyclists, regularly guiding and teaching riders in many riding venues such as ADV, off road, flat track and ice racing. There is no one I trust more. Oh yea, fast service and great prices too.
This is a small, family-run shop that is big on customer service. I needed a set of tires put on my bike and after attempting to use my local Yamaha dealer who said they were only willing to install tires that THEY sold me, I called ProCycles and they were more than happy to help. The shop has a great selection of all the must haves you might need day to day, and everyone is quite friendly and personable.Rather than constantly fill Jeff Bezoss pocket I make an attempt to shop locally, and these guys deserve my business. (and yours!)
I have been using Pro Cycles for over 15 years now and would highly recommend. I have had multiple engine builds for racing (one resulted in a national AMA Championship), and they have serviced both my street and off-road bikes for years. They are meticulous. From inspections to tires to complete builds, they know their business and will take care of you and your bike.
Jim and his team go above and beyond to get your bike up and running and back in the dirt! Great service and a knowledgeable staff. Very prompt and reasonable prices … they can get you everything the online retailers can get, with the added benefit of installing it for you as well. ProCycles is great to do business with!
Best place for service, or general knowledge of bikes, especially more dirt oriented bikes. Called on multiple occasions with questions or for parts. My questions were always immediately answered, and if the parts weren’t available from ProCycles, they knew where I could get them myself. It’s hard to find a reputable bike shop, until you find ProCycles....
The owner Jim? quoted me a price. The worker said I owed a different price. It was $40 extra. I paid with no problem. When I picked up my stuff the owner banned me and threatened to call the police for trespassing. This guy Jim seems to be losing his mind from old age. Be careful. Get a quote if you must go to this business. I strongly advise finding a different place to go.
I have been bringing my Harley to this shop for 15 years for inspections and the occasional tire. Jim and his son are true professionals and really take their craft seriously. Im just a Harley guy getting my inspection at a dirt-bike shop and they still treat me with courtesy and respect, and thats why I keep coming back. I just wish I could do more business with them and I try to order my custom parts from them whenever possible. A great local business that gives back to their community. Stop by and see their shop, its pretty neat to see all the photos and trophies on the wall.
I knew the owner of this business as a kid back in the 1970s. We werent close friends but I always thought highly of Jim, he was a decent kid and treated people well. Based on the reviews I see here he hasnt changed over the years and his son appears to have the same attitudes.Jim was riding back in the 1970s when my parents wouldnt allow me to. I was always a little jealous of that. Hes an enthusiast as well as a business owner. My Yamaha dual sport has only required routine maintenance over the past decade or so. Sooner or later something will go wrong. When it does I know where Ill go if I cannot take care of things myself.
I was in need of an inspection for my motorcycle. When I called to make an appointment, I was informed that no appointment was needed. I went the next day and not only was I in and out within 20 minutes, the people were very friendly and polite. I would highly recommend Pro Cycles.
You have to have a lot of trust in a shop to drop off a *brand spanking new* KTM to be lowered. Jim took a look at me, a look at the bike, said come back in three days, and lowered the suspension on the bike so it now fits me PERFECTLY. Im 52. I waited a long time to buy a KTM EXC-F 250 because I needed a milk crate to climb up on it. Now I can ride it confidently, anywhere, thanks to Jim. It definitely looks different and turns a lot of heads. I love it!
Excellent shop. The guys are cool and always get me in and out quick when I stop by on my lunch break. I work for a car dealer so I do my own tire mounting and just bring my wheels in. Same with my inspection, always quick. I know I hate when people show up for work on my lunch break but these guys are great about it. No hassle, no nonsense. Ignore the bad reviews. People almost never write reviews for good service but will always write one for bad service. Which I’m sure is just a misunderstanding. I will continue to come here for years. Keep up the good work guys!
Pro Cycles has been my go to shop for all my motorcycle needs. I have a Honda 250L and Africa Twin CRF1000 and I bring both bikes over to Pro Cycles for all my needs. The crew at Pro Cycles are experts in maintenance and any other needs that I have. The have excellent service and do high quality work. They know which parts and accessories will make my bike perform the best. I wouldnt use any other shop for my motorcycle needs.I recently brought my Honda 250L over to Pro Cycles in Clifton Park, NY from my home in New Hampshire to get new tires. I have made several trips to Pro Cycles for other parts and upgrades to my bike. I get all my work done at this shop as the owner is one of the most knowledgeable people I know about motor cycles and he always steers me in the right direction. The mechanics Jim, Blaze and Jeremy are the best and will go out of there way to get the job done and done right. If your in the Clifton Park area I highly recommend this place for all your motorcycle needs. I wish I had a place like this in New Hampshire.
Will never enter this building again, was referred to them by Dynojet to get my 2003 Suzuki Marauder VZ800 rejetted. The person at the front desk told me they wouldnt touch my bike because of it being carbureted and how old it was, they would only install tires and do an inspection, which literally any shop can do. Went about 20 minutes away to Joes Cycle in Mechanicville who were much more friendly and knowledgeable.
I was surprised that they didnt take appointments, but they were very honest about their availability. I left my bike off, they told me theyd call the next day with an estimate. They did. They gave me a timeframe to complete the work, completed it early and charged the agreed upon price. I will definitely have them do work on my bikes again in the future!
Hands down the best place to bring your bike in the area. They have worked on 3 of my bikes so far, every time was great. They provide fast, professional, quality work at awesome prices. Ive gotten oil changes, tune ups, adjustments, tires, and inspections. I shopped around for tires, they are the best deal around.
If I could give this place 50 stars I would. I live about 40 miles from them, so I did try other shops before calling. Every other place I called was booked atleast 2 weeks out and I didnt want to wait. I found pro cycles on google and gave them a call. First of all, the person I talked to was very friendly and offered to get me in today. Second, they were (without exaggeration) 40% cheaper then every other place I called. I got a q3+ installed on my bike in less then an hour for less then 180. The next best option I had was wait 2 weeks and pay 292 for the same tire. At the end I received a detailed receipt and the man at the counter looked me in the eye and shook my hand. Even living 40 miles away, the have earned themselves a customer for life. Ill never even think of another place.
Hands down the worst experience ive had yet at a bike shop, ive been riding for over 20 years ive lived in several states and used several shops for my needs and never have i dealt with a more unprofessional counter person than the gentlemen they have running this store the techs seem to know there stuff. but when a customer is not happy with the service that they paid for your staff shouldnt argue with the customer when they explain the service they provided wasnt done properly. had my bike years never had a single issue with my rims nor tires normally i mount and balance myself unfortunately i lost the bearing for my balancer wasnt gonna go buy another one i decided to be lazy and have it done at a shop. prior to me mounting my tires my bike rode smooth no shakes no vibrations.. mounted tires had Pro cycles Balance them, and my bikes bars shake worse now than it did without weights, i inspect how they put the weights on my rims and the weights were properly put on but they were chasing weights.i called to say that the bike was still shaking to get a rude tone back telling me its not the balance that its the bike...and continued to raise his voice to speak over me when trying to explain how there was never a issue prior that something was not done correctly or it wasnt zeroed out..he then rudely tells me to bring the bike back and they would check it but if they were zero hes gonna charge me twice...the fk kinda customer service is that. im sorry but i dont have the time to run back there this was done on my lunch break not only that im not going to be threatened of more charges when it wasnt done correctly the 1st time. thanks for robbing me of 100.00 to balance 2 tires probably the easiest thing that your shop does for people and you dont even do that correctly, after this experience and the attitude i was given NO i will not come back for you to try to correct your fking mistake ill give my business to people who are passionate and actually care about the fking work they provide to peoples machines ...ive been a mechanic for 25 years and ive been working on bikes as well for 20 years. if i provided a service to a vehicle and it was not correct you better believe im going to listen to what the customers saying and try to correct any issues as its the SERVICE THEY PAID FOR! the saying CUSTOMERS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT is fact even if you feel its not true.im not trying to scam and get my money back i was hoping to find a shop to continue to provide all my future maintenance i no longer have the time to do it all myself. i will not recommend this shop to anyone nor will i ever return. looks like all my business and my friends business will goto EAST SIDE CYCLES where i know itll be done right the first time.
Reviews were right! Great shop, quick turn around. Honest pricing. They are very quick to answer questions and dont beat around the bush. They really know their stuff and made me feel comfortable bringing my bike there. (2006 Suzuki Katana) They were able to rebuild the carbs, re-sync them, change the plugs/ oil and source and install a new exhaust in a few days. Bike feels like new again. Quoted price was on point as well. Will be returning, found my new shop. 5 stars!
Terrible customer service. The owner is super rude to females and obviously sexist of woman riders. Had no knowledge of the part I was seeking. Went across the street to the new Yamaha dealership and got taken care of with lovely employees. Would never give my money to someone who felt bothered by my request. Female riders, stay away from these losers!
I will say this shop is convenient and I like that I can bring the bike in without an appointment and get an inspection and leave after 20 mins. Up until this point thats the only time I had interaction with this shop and thats been fine.Had new tires put on my BMW sport touring at the end of last year for almost $500 after install - which isnt cheap in my mind but theres only two on a bike and I dont ride a ton anyways so figured they should last a while. Monday I developed a flat in the rear and found the tire valve stem was leaking. Inspecting it I could see it was all cracked and rotted and bending it from side to side the thing started to tear more. The front doesnt look much better but hopefully that will make it at least through this coming weekend. I quickly checked Pro Cycles website to make sure they were open until 6pm so I had an hour to get the tire to them. I took the wheel off and proceeded to the shop to find a sign on the front door indicating they were closed for the week for their annual trip to Ohio. My bad, should have called prior but at the same token they say no appointments necessary and the webpage made no mention of this closing.Having a holiday weekend trip planned already in three days, I made a few calls to some other nearby shops who could not get to it until next week. Monro advised they dont do motorcycle tires and figured the other car places would tell me the same. So, I ended up Googling and YouTubing all about doing this job myself (including good tips on how to break and re-seat the bead w/o proper tools) and after stopping at AutoZone and picking up a pair of two valve stems for under $4 and a valve stem installation tool for another $5 I went home and replaced it myself in about an hour. Good news is I learned something else I can do on my own with the bike as I like to be self-sufficient. Ill likely be doing the front myself as well now that I have the process down. So, the reason for writing this review and only two stars (which is probably being nice) is I cannot believe the valve stems were not replaced when the new tires were put on. Now that I know whats involved and what they are exactly (and how cheap they are!) I can see no reason besides negligence that they were not replaced. Im just glad this didnt fail while riding! I may still use this place for my annual inspections but Ill likely be looking elsewhere for any future work on the bike however.
Great group of guys that can fulfill your needs and get you what you need in a pinch, there are a lot of businesses out there that only want your money this is not that type of place they genuinely love motorcycles they do dirt bikes and motorcycles and four wheeler parts.
Here ya go gentleman at front desk. Seeing as I am only asking questions here, you know to get information cause I do not know what I need or if there is even a part available, not to be talked down to by someone who obviously is a genius. 10mm being a male end, and 6mm being a female cause mirror I purchased does not fit in the hole. They are both round so I got that far, I dont know how I did it without doing some physics equations ???? The 3 other stores had no problem helping be out and discussing what might work!!Anyway the woman who was talking to me first, very kind, but he had to just take over the conversation !!
U guys said it was my valves that they were super loose..the bike starts nd runs just a ticking in my top end.you guys gave me no time to get a word in then tell me my bike is totaled when I have plenty of videos of it starting and being ride able its an old bike obviously its not in the best condition.you guys gave me no price on what the fix would be cuz if that was the case I would have said yes fix it..you guys were scared of liability which is understandable but you guys just shut ppl down who want to ask questions..worst expierence ever wouldnt recommend to anybody
Brought my 2009 yz250f there with a problem another shop (edelmans) could not figure out in a 4 week period. I dropped the bike off at 10 oclock and picked it up around 4 that same day with the bike running tip top. i cannot say enough good things about this shop from there skills to there kindness. and i will be a customer for life
I just want to say these guys are the best very professional got things done in a timely manner even when I didn’t have an appointment I highly recommend this place A+++ I honestly would not take my four wheeler (Kawasaki brute force 750) anywhere else from now on they have gained my business forever.
Prompt, professional, courteous. They made my recent service experience a breeze when other shops were giving me the run around when I was in a pinch after moving here on a dime. Why deal with the entitled elitist attitudes of other shops when you can go here. They make it simple and leave the bullshit at home. 10/10. Perfect.
I have been coming to ProCyle’s Since about 2015 and have had numerous services performed here by Jim and Blaise. These guys really know their stuff and are very confident and very fair on labor and pricing. Turn around time is fantastic even when they are swamped! It is always a pleasant visit to ProCycle’s and they will always get you going in the right direction!

2022-04-15Not professional !!Replace fork seals change ignition switch. Then tells me that the fork seals are not warranted, due to the fork tubes being warped,a true professional would have said this before performing any work. Are used to bring my stuff here but I wont anymore.Truly dissatisfied.

2022-07-01Great small family shop providing parts, basic services and inspections. Straightforward and honest about what/they can do, seem like nice dudes. They deal Beta, so no S/K/HD/T dealer tools but they’re my go-to for inspections, etc. I’ve seen comments about a bad attitude from staff - not my experience at all. Just hard working dudes in a small family business. I guess if you want a sweet cuddly receptionist and a coffee lounge in the service dept, maybe keep driving. FYI I have no connection to this business except as a (50yr F) customer.

2022-05-28Its the only place I go for service. Great people and great prices. All work done has always been professional and perfect. They even told me it was fine to wait on a certain service for now, when they could have easily done the work. I appreciate people like that. Friends I have sent there have been just as happy as I am.

2022-05-31I showed up at lunch time not knowing there policy had changed related to inspections now requiring an appointment. They explained but took me anyway. They were overly accommodating and made it happen. The service advisor at counter was great and also explained the services they provide. I would not hesitate to use their services and will be going there for all my future bike needs. Thanks again.

2021-07-24I am very picky about who works on my bikes and have been bringing them here for awhile now and have always had a great experience. They know their stuff and have the knowledge and experience to keep my bike running like new. These bad reviews are “fake news” I know to call ahead and make a appt. because they are always busy which tells you something..a lot of people feel the same way!Bill

2021-08-09I won’t bring my bike anywhere else. These guys are incredibly fast and their work is impeccable. The first time I went in to get my first set of new tires put on my new bike and they had it done so fast I wasn’t able to get back there quick enough. They went above and beyond my expectations and have proved themselves again and again to deliver exceptional service on my bike and the customer service is top notch. I felt as if I were treated as family. I trust Pro Cycles to take care of my bike like it’s their own and make sure everything is perfect before leaving the shop. If you’re looking for a shop to get any work done, an inspection, or if you’re just looking for parts, I highly recommend you give Pro Cycles a call. Thanks again guys! -Chris

2021-09-13Pro Cycles did a great job setting up my new 2021 Beta 200 RR race edition as a street legal ride for the NE Enduros. They also support the dual sport community with organized rides and also help out local riding clubs such as CATRA with supplies for the races

2021-12-16Before upgrading the suspension on my DR650 Jim thoroughly collected information on my experience and needs as a rider and gave me a tutorial on how suspensions work. This was key to arriving at a decision on the improvements that would be the best value for me. I am very happy with how much better the bike handles now. I appreciate the collaboration, and how it helped save me unneccesary expense.

2021-09-13The folks at ProCycles are super! They are technically proficient, knowledgeable, and do excellent work. You know your bike is handled with precision and care. Inspections are a breeze. If you have questions (and I often have many) staff are generous with their experience and insight. ProCycles has excellent pricing on gear, yes even better than the internet. Highly recommended.
