I am in love with Pro Thai. I always order delivery or pick-up from them because I live 15m walking from them, I am really no fan of eating with takeout food because I rather cook at home, but their Red Curry with chicken is just sooooooo good that I have to have it at least once per week (I can easily eat it daily).I always order from their lunch combo which is super cheap! 9.99 if I am not wrong but I can pick two appetizers plus the main dish (In my case red curry) so I always get the soup and the steamed dumplings and omg I love everything so much! And it is incredible the amount of food I end up with for that price than usually I end up saving some for the next day or dinner!Pro Thai is definitely awesome, i just personally need to try something else because I had only literally.order from them like 20 red curries but I had never try other thing, I would need to check some recommendations of what to try next.Oh, I almost forgot to say: THEY DELIVERY IS INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE FAST. Today I literally got my food at my door 15m after I place it, and I leave 15m walking from them, besides than the delivery guy probably flied to get to my apartment it was still incredible fastThank you for all the joy you guys at Pro Thai give me, from the food to also the friendly girl that gives me my food when I pick it up! Keep up the good work!
Cannot give this place more than 3 stars. I just went for lunch and the place felt like madness, no waitresses, just one guy at the front dealing with tables, food delivery and going to the kitchen to check if plates where ready.I understand being short staffed because sadly is a reality in many industries, but the food was below average. My steam dumplings were cold and my pad Thai was nothing impressive. The whole restaurant was crowded with food delivery guys waiting for their bags and they had them waiting for a long long time. People coming in and out, they don’t have the typical winter entrance with double doors to avoid cold air entering the restaurant so that was annoying.Surprisingly there was a lot of people having lunch and picking up deliveries, I would not go back. I guess I have to keep searching for decent Thai food in the area , the other restaurant across the street Chu Ros Thai is also average.
I’ve been here too many times to count for lunch. They have great lunch specials with appetizer, noodle dish, and salad or soup. They don’t have many seats so they do fill up pretty quickly. But seats usually open up pretty fast. Usually spend 30-45 mins here for lunch. Food is always delicious and served quickly, my favorite is their drunken noodle. Can’t go wrong. I’ve also ordered dinner for delivery which was just as delicious and fast. This is by far the best place for Thai in this area.
They have mock duck dishes which I thought was pretty cool. The tofu wasnt spectacular but the dishes were pretty good.I was quite hyped because other reviews said this was the best Thai theyve eaten! But having gone there, I think Ive definitely eaten better. The ambience is so-so and it was quite empty when we went.Overall its a good place with good options (drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice!) But dont get your hopes up way too much.
This place does not receive a star , I’ve had food couple of times in the past but today when I went with my wife who frequently visits, I was greeted by a rude staff who insisted that we give him the tip after the meal or else order a delivery or eat outside .It seems like you only get service at this restaurant if you agree to tip them . This is very bizarre, he advised that if I get the food delivered I don’t have to tip. just because they are a popular place it doesn’t make them invincible and demand money from their customers.maybe they are prejudiced,I’ve read a couple of reviews about the staff behaviour and today I was meant to receive it I guess.they should post a note at the door that “no tip no food”. Their food might be good but withe attitude it will not get them far.never will I visit this place
I rarely write a review but I have to do today. I went there from the museum due to high rating. But the waitress attitude was very unpleasant and unprofessional. I just asked if they provide lunch menu, but she was very unkind to answer the question. Possibly she did not hear what I asked, but I was not rude at all but I just asked simply and she should not have behaved like that. My family was kind of afraid and we just left and my family told me she kept staring us until we disappeared. She may be kind on other days, but she was absolutely wrong today, because I didnt do anything wrong or unkind. Of course I will not come back here but I leave this review for other people or at least give her an opportunity to review her own attitude for correction
What a gem for lunch. The special was great. The hot and sour soup was yummy, the gyoza flavorful (but lost its crispness because they added the sauce before bringing it out), and the drunken noodle was fantastic. Oh, and the service was lovely too. All for $9 (plus tax and tip).
The lunch special is cheap and good. Ordered pad kee mao w/pork, curry puff, and soup over UberEats, which arrived promptly. Pad kee mao had bamboo slices, fresh chili, and a bit of char, which are all good signs. Curry puff filling was mealy. The soup was like tom yum. Roti also tasted good. Decently spicy though I did not specify a spice level.
I wish I could give this place zero stars. Delivery man did not have any change on him when I gave him a $20 bill. The food came out to nearly $11 and it said on the receipt i was paying in cash, so why did he only have $6 on him?? He gave me a dumbfounded look when I wanted all my change back, so I sent him back to the restaurant. When he went back, i called the owner and demanded my change and he accused me of lying!! The deliveryman told him that he gave me $7 not $6 and the rest was HIS tip. I was baffled and got into an argument with the owner about my money and then he threatened to call the police on me? Okay, sure guy. This place is rude and their food isnt worth the trouble. Dont order from here unless you want to be scammed.
Besides everyone else in the restaurant there is this one lady who I’ve noticed who is very subjective on how nice she treats you! Lmao she is more darker skin complexion then everyone else really pretty but lo behold a good example of not everything that shines is gold. She favors her language yet she did not know I speak Chinese. Idk whether she is from Thailand but I heard say a few things in Mandarin which I understood and thanks to my classes at my university made me understand to where she did not deserve tips for her service. The guys are really cool and the other ladies but that one girl who wear either a mustard colored sweater or Orange one is incredibly rude. Besides the service the food is delicious but I prefer mallii Thai on 2nd ave.
Asian food, at a very good price to be New York. There are very few people so they serve you right away.It is a little away from the center, but our apartment was close and we tried it and we were surprised, very rich and cheap, recommended.Great service, having few people treat you great

2022-07-07Pro Thai is really PRO!! Their food is delicious! I got Pad Thai and it was one of the best I’ve ever had in the city. Their staff is very attentive and kind. Their lunch special is seriously unbeatable! The restaurant js pretty small but it has a very nice vibe to it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good Thai food in the area!

2021-10-16Really great food and attentive staff. Got the papaya salad and the drunken noodle with shrimps —— everything was delicious. The salad was really refreshing and not overly salty which I liked a lot. Ingredients seem fresh.

2021-01-09We moved to the neighbourhood in just less than 2 weeks ago and have already ordered at Pro Thai 2 times (and I cook at home everyday so any restaurant must have very enticing food to make me order take out, so that says a lot 😄). Both of our orders were prepared to perfection, curry and the ground chicken basil were super super delicious and flavourful. Today we ordered chicken rice and pad see ew and they did not disappoint as well. We had pad see ew at another Thai restaurant before and it was super sweet, however we feel that all dishes at Pro Thai are well balanced and not sweet at all! Also reasonable prices for generous portion. We will definitely be coming back for more. Please keep up the good work! (I wish I had better picture but this was taken at our very dark apartment the first night we moved in haha)

2019-08-10Thai place right off the on lexington avenue in UES. Decent thai place, nothing out of the world, but not bad in terms of thai food. Green curry was flavorful, tofu was firm, inherent spiciness was pretty high so keep that in mind when ordering. Price was about 10$ per dish and an extra dollar for changing from white to brown rice. Overall a decent place for some quick thai food if your nearby.
