When I got engaged I knew I wanted to look at Pronovias for my wedding dress. Since my first appointment in November it has been nothing but disappointments. On the day of my first appointment I arrived only to be notified that my appointment had been cancelled when I got there. I had this appointment made for over a month. I found my dress which was great, But it took them days to respond back to me so that I can put a deposit down. Emails and calls all went unanswered. Extremely unprofessional and frustrating, especially for a company that is known for its high standards. Fast forward 5 months later. I found a short white dress that I wanted to try on. Their king of Prussia location sent the dress to the NY location. It took about two weeks to secure an appointment, again emails went unanswered. I was able to get an appointment during my lunch break. When I arrived at the store an employee said someone would be with me shortly. I waited for almost 20 mins when I was asked if I can come back. Excuse me? You want me to come back? After I’ve been trying to secure an appointment for two weeks. They ended up not being able to find the dress. Also extremely concerning. Knowing that I had an appointment to see one specific dress that was sent to the store for me, you would think that they would have it ready to make an easy sale. Nope. It has been the most stressful experience to say the least. I would not recommend Pronovias to anyone.
I cant rave enough about my experience at Pronovias! My consultant Lindsay was so wonderful to work with. I sent her my mood board and she pulled the perfect dresses, making the hunt a breeze. I enjoyed a glass of champagne during my fitting and the try on rooms were comfortable, spacious, and glam. Marie was my tailor and the sweetest to work with! She customized the dress to fit me like a glove. They have such a stunning selection and I couldnt be happier with my dream dress!
I had amazing experience at Pronovias! Kayla my consultant was so helpful. Very professional and attentive to details. I booked my appointment online and they contacted me to review the dress I was interested in. Some of the dress online are not all available in store but they were able to find similar model that I was happy with. They were even able to rush the dress I wanted. Overall 5 stars experience.
Run Away from Pronovias NYCI’ll start by saying that the level of horror, incompetence and atrocity that takes place at this store leads me to believe it was either built on an ancient burial ground or is a portal to the literal Twilight Zone. Once you purchase your very expensive and beautiful dress, everything that can go wrong, does, in the hands of the god awful staff and overworked alterations team. If you want a Pronovias dress, get it from Kleinfeld, Designer Loft, or The White Gown. Or look at other similar designers like Enzoani and Calla Blanche - but be warned, if you buy a dress at Pronovias NYC you are in for the most stressful wedding week you could imagine, and are at risk of not even getting your dress at all.There isn’t enough space for me to go into my whole story, but after four months and EIGHT fittings where I waited hours each time, I almost didn’t even have a dress to wear to my wedding last Saturday.They lost materials I had ordered and paid hundreds of dollars for, butchered my dress, and left me in shambles leading up to my wedding. Not only are these mishaps unforgivable from such an expensive store, but the way the staff does it all with a fake bubbly smile as they lie to you, gaslight you and refuse to take accountability is maddening.In all my visits I met other brides - each one has their own catastrophic story (one woman’s wedding was the next day and dress wasn’t done, one woman came for her first fitting to find the dress she ordered 8 months ago was ordered in the wrong size and wrong neckline, one woman came to pick up her dress and it had been accidentally ordered so small it didn’t fit over her body). It is utter chaos.I consider myself lucky I got my dress at all, and for that I thank Theresa, the manager, and Selina, the seamstress who took over my dress from Grace after months of nothing being done and took it to the finish line.Any positive reviews for Pronovias here are only from people who just bought their dress and haven’t gone through the alterations process. Don’t be fooled.And finally a note to the social media managers: i really encourage basic training on how to reply to these types of online complaints. Giving a generic, meaningless apology and a link to send a complaint in on the website that no one will ever read or respond to adds insult to injury. Your team is leaving brides without dresses for their wedding day. We want accountability.
My daughter order her dress 14 month before wedding. She came 4 times for alteration. Every time they promised that dress will be ready. We came to pick up the dress, week before the big day and nothing was done since last time. They said dont worry in 2 days will be ready. I almost had an anxiety attack. We pick it up, but wedding mood was ruined...and dress wasnt done professionally.
Working with Pronovias was easily the worst, most stressful part of our wedding - avoid them if at all possible! After initially ordering the wrong color dress and creating a last-minute panic, the correct dress malfunctioned on our wedding day (zipper wouldnt work). After corporate promised they would refund us and fix the dress 6 months ago, the issue still isnt finalized and our dozens of calls and emails are being ignored. We wish we never found this company to begin with.
I would give this shop 0 stars if I could. There’s been inconsistent and unreliable communication with them since the start. Like a few other brides, there have been issues with my dress from start to present. They made decisions to modify it without my consent, cancelled my appointments without any regard for my time, and literally had me come in for my second fitting, only to find it wasn’t even altered yet from the first. No one calls back EVER. I have used the contact form, the corporate email, called, etc. Literally just trying to get some compensation for the money and time family has spent traveling TWICE now for now reason. I honestly just want to get my dress and go. Save yourself the hassle and do not come here. For such a reputable brand, they’ve really dropped the ball at this location. It’s sad to think about because this is supposed to be a joyous experience. Frankly, working with them has been a nightmare.
I SAID YES TO THE DRESS! I absolutely had the best experience at Pronovias New York with the amazing help of the stylist Nina. On my very first outing to look at dresses, I was so satisfied with the options and the very personalized customer service that I was able to confidently choose my dress THAT DAY! Nina has a very special place in my heart for helping me to find my very special wedding dress. Not only is the dress the most beautiful piece of clothing that will ever grace my body, but the butterflies associated with the experience of finding it also adds to the glow Ill feel wearing it. Im so excited for my first fitting! Thank you Nina & Everyone over at Pronovias NY! You are awesome! And highly appreciated :):):)UPDATE: Married now! Heres some pics :)
I dont typically write negative reviews, but since a wedding gown is something so important, I felt this was necessary as a headsup for brides-to-be. I wish I could write two separate reviews. A 5 star for Grace (seamstress) and 1 star for Sarah, the manager. Even though I loved my wedding gown, getting fitted was a nightmare towards the end. If it werent for Grace, I would not have had the dress how I envisioned. She truly went above and beyond for me the last few days and actually listened and CARED about how I wanted the dress to look. My fittings kept on getting canceled the day before (even though I had scheduled them months in advance) and Sarah, the manager, only wanted to rush me and send me on my way even though the dress was not fitting properly and alterations were not complete. Grace on the contrary, stayed late working just to be able to finish my dress in time for my wedding. Grace TRULY CARES about the pronovias bride and I would ONLY recommend getting a dress from her if she is your seamstress. I chose Pronovias not only because I loved the dress, but also because of their good reputation, and this new management is not holding up to its standards.
DO NOT GO HERE! If I could give no stars, I would. 3 weeks before my wedding on July 23rd, on the day of my intended first fitting on June 30th, I was called and told my wedding dress would not arrive in time. Not only was I unable to wear the dress I had picked out and was so excited for, but Pronovias also left me with no time to get an alternative dress. I was robbed of the opportunity to get a new dress I felt special in on one of the most important days of my life. The company would have known if the dress had shipped 2-3 weeks prior and should have been checking in on the production. I had purchased the dress in January and come into the store 2 additional times since purchasing the dress for veil selection and hair accessory selection and was reassured everything was on track with my dress during those appointments. On July 1st, I went into the store and Emma from Pronovias stated that the store would not be able to issue a refund and that I would have to wait to receive a call in order for the refund to be issued, which would be in 2 business days. It is now Saturday, July 9th and I have not yet received a call nor a refund for the dress and veil. Words cannot express how frustrated and disappointed I am with this company. I do not wish this on any other bride and am writing this review to warn other brides from purchasing from the Pronovias flagship store in NYC as this has caused so much stress and put a raincloud over our wedding.
If you are a bride looking for a wedding dress, RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM PRONOVIAS AS POSSIBLE!!! I had the most stressful, frustrating and disappointing experience with my wedding dress at pronovias. Although they have some beautiful dresses, the stress you will go through after choosing and purchasing your dress is NOT worth it and you’re better off finding a smaller boutique store to purchase your dress. The poor management and unprofessionalism of the NYC flagship store is quite astonishing, they have no concept on how to take care of brides who spend thousands of dollars on a dress. The store is impossible to get in touch with via email & phone- if you want to speak with someone you have to go into the store yourself which is unbelievable in this day and age. When you’re at the store they give you all the reassurances that you and your dress will be taken care of, but they do absolutely nothing to follow up on those assurances and you get forgotten about. My initial alteration seamstress Selena did not make any of the alterations I wanted and would not even listen to me when I tried to tell her what I wanted. My dress was taken over by Grace the week of my wedding who finally made the correct alterations. They tell you that you have an appointment for a certain date/time, but when you show up there is no record of an appointment. I was in touch with Theresa, one of the managers, who gave me false assurances for months and didn’t even have the decency to apologize or acknowledge the mismanagement. Alexandra recently started there close to my wedding in April and she was honestly the most helpful person at Pronovias- she gave me her personal cell phone number to make sure my concerns were addressed, I only wish she was there from the beginning. I can’t express how much I do NOT recommend shopping at Pronovias for your wedding dress- you will regret it like I do. For a well renowned flagship store in NYC, it’s a disgrace to the Pronovias brand. Forget about reaching out to Customer Service, you might as well be talking to a wall.
If I could leave zero stars I would. I have never been more disrespected as a person than I was by the pronovias staff. The dresses are beautiful however the way the staff presents them based on the brides figure is absolutely disgusting. The fact that they go against the brides wishes to find dresses that they feel are more appealing to the brides body type is NOT what I was looking for in a consultant. I knew what I wanted and they tried to steer me away from that to “hide” problem areas. I will never recommended this bridal store to anyone because of this experience. The employees at this store should not be in the bridal industry or work with people any day of their lives.
First and foremost, I must say that the dresses are beautiful and I was able to find my dream dress at the Pronovias flagship in NYC. While my first experience for my dress try-on in June 2021 with Emily was positive, my experiences during the fittings were horrible and, frankly, unacceptable.I was scheduled for my first fitting on 25 Sept. A few hours prior to my appointment, I received a call that the seamstress called out and I would need to reschedule my appointment for the following day, when there would be availability with a different seamstress. After 3 phone calls and an email, I was finally able to speak with someone live to reschedule, for 24 hours later. Bringing me to my appointment on 26 September...My mother and I showed up to the showroom for my noon appointment to find that there was a sign posted to the door, saying the showroom would be closed that day and the following. Not only did I JUST reschedule my appointment 24 hours prior, but there was no communication from Pronovias that the showroom would be closed and my appointment cancelled.Following my cancelled appointment, I followed up via email and phone to the showroom, without any response. I also spoke several times with Valentina from corporate, who was very kind - although was unable to reach the store herself. When the showroom reopened on Tuesday, I was finally able to get through to the store and scheduled my first fitting on 29 September.To say thats when the experience went sour is an understatement. I waited 45 minutes from my appointment time, before the team brought me back for my fitting. Once done, my seamstress told me she would be able to schedule me for 2 weeks later, on 11 October to finish the final hem. However, when my mom and I went to schedule with the front desk, the woman (Sarah) told me I was not able to schedule my appointment until 18 October - just 5 days before my wedding (taking place on 23 October).Not only was the woman (Sarah) extremely rude to the seamstress, motioning for her to be quiet and pushing back when the seamstress informed her that the top needed to be adjusted prior to hem to ensure everything fit perfectly, but she was rude to my mother and me and completely insensitive to the fact that I was concerned about my dress being ready in time. In fact, Sarah held up a full stack of papers to tell me that they were for all the brides getting married that upcoming weekend, whose dresses were not yet finished. First of all, that is a HORRIBLE explanation - and just shows the complete incompetency of the showroom - but its also completely unsettling when Im concerned about my dress being ready.As someone who not only has worked retail corporate for years, but who has also worked in PR for more than 12 years, this is a PR nightmare for your brand. Sarah is a direct reflection of your brand, and her lack of customer care, as well as her inability to communicate effectively with customers (who are spending thousands of dollars), is blatant evidence that she should not be working with customers.The ONLY saving grace to my experience was my seamstress, Celina. Not only was she kind, caring and supportive of me as a bride, but she showed me compassion during what was a horrible experience with Sarah, and assured me that I would have my dress in time for my wedding. To say she delivered is an understatement. Celina over delivered. My dress fits like a glove and she was able to do the final hem while I was still at the showroom during my appointment on 18 October, to ensure I was able to walk out day-of with my dress. She is FANTASTIC and Pronovias is extremely lucky and fortunate to have her.
I cannot express enough how amazing Pronovias was throughout my wedding journey. I originally bought a pronovias dress at a boutique in SoHo in November of 2020. Fast forward to the end 2021, my sister in law wore the same pronovias dress to her wedding out of pure coincidence. At first I shrugged it off like no big. But once my first fitting came along, i realized that this upset me more than i had realized.My wedding is this Saturday, May 14. I decided at the beginning of February, I had to hunt for a new dress. I headed to Pronovias flagship and the hospitality from the moment i walked in was absolutely incredible. I worked with a girl named Kelsey who gave me all of the TLC i needed. Because of the short notice, and supply chain issues, they knew i wouldn’t be able to try on every dress. They pointed me into the direction of the dresses they knew they’d get on time. I fell in love with one dress - turns out they had one left, two sizes too big, in the back. The allowed me to purchase that day!From there i worked with Grace for my fittings. Grace is a true angel. She met my mom on my first fitting and remembered her by name every fitting after. She always heard me out and fixed, changed, rearranged anything i asked for. She made such a chaotic situation feel like the most seamless moments.I truly cannot recommend this place enough! The gowns are stunning, the price is right and above all - hospitality from start to finish was 10/10.
My try on experience was positive and my consultant was helpful in selecting a dress. The dress I wanted, however, was unavailable for order. I tried to contact my consultant to place a new order for a different dress but couldn’t get in touch with her. I called the store several times, left multiple voicemails, and sent emails all of which went unreturned. I even spoke to someone at the headquarters in Spain and requested the store to contact me and still nothing. I do not recommend if you actually want to purchase a dress!
I have not purchased a dress from Pronovias, but my wife has. So while I cannot speak to my wife’s personal experience with this company, this review will focus on what it is like to be married to someone who purchased a dress here.First off, she loves this dress. Shopping for a gown was exciting for her and her final choice made her feel like magic. That is what makes the rest of her experience so painful.At her first fitting, she confirmed the appointment, only to have it cancelled with less than 24 hours notice having invited her family and friends- family that had traveled from out of town to attend. Her mom had to reschedule her flight to attend the eventual fitting. Every single future appointment was cancelled or delayed for several hours at a time. She would call ahead to confirm that she did in fact have an appointment, and then would arrive to a confused staff, baffled why someone would come without an appointment. One shouldn’t have to be “squeezed in” when they confirmed that their time was reserved earlier that day.She dreaded these fittings. She’d be unable to sleep the night before. She’d pace around the apartment before calling to confirm an appointment that would be cancelled upon her arrival. She’d reach out to voice her distress to higher-ups in the company, who would feign shock while accepting no responsibility and offering zero solutions. If what you’re looking for from a large luxury purchase is a lack of accountability and missed deadlines, Pronovias cannot be beat.I also work in the service industry, so I understand how frustrating it is to be short-staffed. I also know that apologies mean nothing without action to match the intent. That is, the few apologies that Pronovias offered. One is supposed to feel important and valued when being fitted for their wedding dress, but at every step of the way, Pronovias invalidated my wife’s excitement with their incompetence and treated her as if her experience is normal. So, per the staff, poor customer service and wasted time is normal and to be expected here.I’ve noticed that the majority of the other reviews were written immediately after purchasing the dress, but that’s not really the end of the interaction with a company. That’s where the service part of customer service should come into play, but Pronovias evidently believes that their obligation ends when the check clears. Look at the other negative reviews. The company consistently drops the ball when it comes to actually fulfilling their end of the deal. I can’t fathom the number of disappointed women who have cried on their couch after an experience here.Your wedding day is important and you should feel important. Do you want to leave that to chance?Brides, if your wedding is important to you, do not under any circumstances rely on this company to come through for you. Spouses, if your significant other has chosen to shop with Pronovias, invest in Kleenex and clear your schedule for any day that involves an interaction here.Perhaps below this review, the company will make a verbal attempt at correcting their past mistakes, as they have in the other negative reviews. But ask yourself what can be done to un-waste someone’s time? Looking into these countless cases after the fact only demonstrates Pronovias’ ambivalence about the experience of those currently in the room. They refused to solve problems they’d created when approached directly, and hopefully no prospective customer reading these reviews falls for this shallow PR tactic. I would never recommend working with this company under any circumstances.Post-script: After my wife spent seven and a half hours on site waiting for her dress to be completed, the manager handed her a QR code and told her to tag Pronovias in the photos the day of the wedding. After wasting an entire day in their store one week before our wedding, waiting for a dress that should have been finished a week ago, my wife was solicited for free marketing. What a truly tone deaf appeal but fitting farewell to the worst company we’ve ever encountered.
I’ve been dreaming about getting a Pronovias gown even before I got engaged and it finally happened today. The entire process was seamless and I felt like a bride even with Covid protocols in place. Before my appointment, my bridal consultant Roth called me to introduce himself and ask me about my dress preferences, venue and asked me to send my wishlist.When we got there to the appointment, we perused the latest selection before starting the try-on. Even though I’m a plus size bride, Roth made sure I had the best fitting dresses so I could see what I would look like as a bride. We had such a fun and seamless time during our session. He talked me through everything including timeline and alterations to ensure everything will work out perfectly.I found my perfect dress and I feel so at ease and best of all I was on budget. You won’t be disappointed shopping for your dress at Pronovias. A+++ service.
Well meaning people but CHAOS. Not a pleasant bridal experience. The assistant spoke limited English meaning I had to write down words for her to understand me, told me their computers were down so they couldn’t check for stock, neither of the dresses I selected were available and I’d have to call other stores to find them myself….huh?They also said I have to call the manager to get a refund for my appointment, rather than just issuing it then and there. So pathetic for a luxury store. Waste of a day off work!
The worst experience. They never reply emails, or return calls. Customer service is poor and painful. I will never recommend this place. My future daughter in law didnt get her dress complete, after all the wait for nothing. You need to take your job seriously and responsibly you are dealing with a dream wedding and the dress its the most important thing for a bride.
Just left the store. Had a 10am appt with my sister and mom to try on cocktail dresses for my niece wedding. Got there at 10 minutes of and 2 sales people saw us standing in the cold and left us out there until 10. We were told Karen would b taking us around and while other customers came and were seen we were left standing there. Finally the girl who checked us in took us to the back and pointed to 2 racks which had no more than 7 dresses on each and told us those were their party dresses snd walked away. I showed her pucs of 2 dresses i was interested in and she did not have them. Your website should state such. Then walked away again and just left us. No apologies or anything. Waste of time coming to city for this customer service. Poor representation of what u market yourself to b.
Pronovias will make your wedding gown shopping experience unforgettable! I called numerous times prior to my appointment to double-check confirmation, and all of the ladies were always so pleasant and helpful. Id like to send a particular shout out to Janelle, my coordinator! I cant thank her enough for being so helpful, patient, and kind. She was extremely personable and meticulous in her attention to detail. She made the experience so enjoyable and relaxing! At the end of the appointment, I chose the dress of my dreams!!
My wedding is on Sunday and this has been the absolute worst experience in my entire life. They gave my belt to someone else and couldn’t locate it last week when I was supposed to pick up everything ready and I was told they would overnight another one from a different location and I have zero response from anyone. The management is the worst I’ve ever came across. My dress didn’t fit, my sleeves were different sizes that were custom. My veil was never ordered so they made me buy the in store one fromJanuary that had rips in it for %15 off. Don’t waste your time or money in this store. It’s all a scam.2 weeks later and I still have zero solution or refund for my purchases I never received!!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Please stay away! Your wedding day is stressful enough without adding this to your plate. They ordered the wrong color dress, didn’t fix it after promising they would (or apologize!), and then the dress wouldn’t zip on my wedding day. I brought it back to be fixed, and they lost it. Almost a year later and maybe 100 phone calls later I think it’s gone for good, and they failed to pay the agreed upon refund amount and we have to take them to court. Save yourself a headache and avoid!
Is nobody at this boutique picking up their phone? I ordered a dress back in November with expedited service, dress scheduled for fitting tomorrow, called and texted my stylist Kelsi 5 times, no response. Called the boutique during business hour 3 times and no response.Update AFTER wedding:Again please DO NOT come to this place for your dress. Their seamstress is extremely irresponsible and not only did not trim my dress to the right length, causing me to constantly step on it and adjust, but also left PINS in the dress that basically are 3 inch long NEEDLES poking me inside the dress randomly. My legs were BLEEDING and the bridal assistant at the venue had to spend 30min using temporary fixes so that the needles stop poking me and fix the length so I could at least walk.PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE !!!!
Unfortunately I have to agree with all the other negative reviews here, the customer service is terrible (nobody evers answers the telephones or responds to emails). While the dresses are beautiful I would not work with them again. Brides beware if you buy your dress with this company, it will be one of the worst parts of planning your wedding.
Updated 6/22/22: Now that my wedding has come and gone, I just want to say how truly grateful I am for Grace, Theresa, and the whole team at Pronovias. They truly went above and beyond to make my dream dress a reality, and I could not have felt more beautiful on my wedding day.Bridal shops are busier than ever these days, and sometimes the dress process doesnt go quite according to plan. But, you can trust that youre in excellent hands at Pronovias, from your initial appointment to your final fitting.--------From the moment I went to my friends dress appointment over a year ago, I knew I would find my wedding dress at Pronovias. The range of styles is amazing, and so are the prices. The dressing rooms and suites are gorgeous and comfortable. Every sales associate is compassionate, hospitable, and seems genuinely interested in helping their clients achieve their ultimate vision instead of making a sale. Out of all the dress appointments Ive been to around the city, Pronovias was by far the most enjoyable.My recent appointment with Roth was truly everything I could have asked for in a dress appointment – a joyful experience for both myself and my mom that ended with saying yes to my perfect dress. I cant wait to go back for my first fitting :)
My dress was my dream wedding gown. The dresses are stunning but my experience with the NYC store was nothing short of a nightmare experience. I recommend buying your Pronovias dress from a boutique that will take better care of you.They messed up my order so that my dress was not arriving until the day before my wedding. I had to fight with them for weeks & message the team on instagram before someone finally got me a dress to arrive with enough time for alterations. The store never admitted that they were wrong and if it werent for me going to every length possible to fight for a dress they wouldve done nothing.The store is overbooked and under staffed. I needed 5 appointments because two times I went in none of the alterations from my previous appointments were done. My final appointment I was there for 5 hours because I refused to leave without it. Each time I had to wait 40-60 minutes past my appointment time before I was seen.I expressed my disappointment every step of the way and was told Id have a discount applied to my final payment of 15-20%. At the last appointment the manager did not have the clearance to give me the discount but my wedding was only 5 days away so I needed to leave with it. I was told to email customer service for a refund and the manager would make a note to support to give me the refund. To no surprise they immediately declined any type of reimbursement. I could go on about everything that went wrong - these are only the highlights.TL;DR - Run far away from the NYC store. Plenty of boutiques that carry Pronovias & will treat you well.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Pronovias, from the moment I walked through the door and throughout the whole time. I first stopped by without an appointment to confirm if I needed to do so also for cocktail dresses (as I was not the bride but needed a gown/dress for a wedding), and Kayla greeted me and answered all my questions. Once I then booked an appointment, I received a confirmation email as well as a lovely text from Kayla who was going to be helping me and getting me set and fitted with a dress. She let me know next steps and I was able to send her photos/names of the dresses I wanted to try on from the website. The experience in store then with Kayla and another staff member shadowing her was fantastic! They were both so kind, fun and helpful, had put the dresses they had in store in a room for me and gave me heels to use as I had forgotten mine. Also the dresses are stunning and such a great selection! I tried on about 4-5 dresses and Kayla pinned them to fit how they would be, helping me also take pictures of each as I wore them, and then giving me details on the cost, hemming, and timeline. They were so helpful in every possible way, the store/location was beautiful, clean and had so many stunning dresses with good prices, they work with you to get the dresses hemmed and have the fitting sessions set up by the time needed, and everything was just wonderful!
Brides do not get your dress altered here!!!!! I bought my dress through their flagship store in New York. After the purchase the service webt down hill. I went for my fittings as scheduled. My second fitting nothing had been done to the dress. My final fitting and pick up again NOTHING WAS FINISHED. My dress was not done. They made me sit in the waiting room 45 minutes past my appointment because they didn’t know what to do… their excuse was they worked on the wrong brides dress. So we sat in the city for 3 hours while they rushed to finish my dress. They did Give us money off our alterations but the whole thing was so stressful. Then to top it all off at the wedding the alterations began to come undone. The bra cup placed in the dress stitches came undone so was popping out of my dress. Part of the side seam where it was taken in came undone. And one of the buttons was too big for the loop hole. I ended up having to use double sided tape all Over the dress. It was a complete mess. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Save yourself the stress.
NEVER get your dress from here, customer service is non existent, Fiancé was to be fitted this coming Friday after ordering her dress 6 months ago, they never reached out, never updated, emailed, called, smoke signal, nothing… if not for her calling herself she would not know her dress still hasn’t been received and wouldn’t be there for her 1st fitting, company still hasn’t returned calls or emails… utter incompetence…
My experience at Pronovias’ NYC showroom was simply perfect. Not only do I love my dress (and yes all the tears were shed!) but the experience of finding it was exactly what I wanted in shopping for my wedding dress. My bridal consultant Samantha had reached out to me via text about a week before my appointment to learn my taste and she got me right away. Her positive energy when we finally met in person was a welcome breath of fresh air. We had a large space to ourselves so I never felt like I was on display and just really allowed for a very personalized and intimate experience for me and my mom. I went to a variety of well known places, including some very high end couture shops and nothing compared in terms of experience. Others felt stuck up or like I was no different than the millions of other appointments they see so it was just not special. And dress shopping in sample sizes is not easy when you have even the slightest of curves! Not Samantha and Pronovias. The dresses are beautiful and thoughtfully made for real women to wear, they have so many different styles and Samantha just made me feel like a queen! I cannot recommend them more and cannot wait to return for my first fitting!
The most amazing experience! Kayla B was so attentive and kind. She really listened to what I liked and I felt like she really cared. Dresses were beautiful. The space itself was very open and beautifully decorated. I had limited time to order a dress as my wedding is less than 3 months out. Kayla was so accommodating and helpful. I don’t feel like I had to compromise at all given the short turnaround. Would recommend brides make an extra effort to shop at the Pronovias flagship in NY. And ask for Kayla B :)
I had the most amazing appointment yesterday with Emily. She made it so much fun and knew exactly what would look good on me. I love how she reached out to me in advance to make sure she pulled styles I wanted to try on before I even got there. I would highly recommend Emily, the beautiful store and of course the gorgeous dresses. Needless to say I bought a stunning gown with the most elegant headpiece. Thank you, Emily for a wonderful experience!
Pronovias was recommended to me by a friend who said, even if you dont decide to get a dress from there, please just go so you can have *that* experience. So, I did.I booked my appointment, showed up on time, and was greeted by one of the kindest employees to whom I have ever spoken (Trianna). I dont know if I even saw another person who was shopping until I left, which was one single woman probably showing up for her appointment. Trianna asked if I had any styles that I liked, pictures, etc, and took me around to look at the different fabrics and styles in order to get a sense of my taste. She brought me dozens of dresses both from ones that I picked out, and others that she thought I might like. The entire time, she made me feel like I was the number one priority, even though the truth is that I was just another bride looking for a dress. I felt like I was in a bridal spa.I was ready to commit to a dress right then and there, but she suggested that I take some time and look at other shops just to make sure that I felt secure in my decision. I did, and not only did I think the dresses at Pronovias were the most beautiful, I also decided to support their business based on the superb customer service that I received, being treated like a human, keeping touch via email, and the fact I had fallen in love with my dress already.Being fitted for your dress is scary. It NEVER looks the way you want, and can be nerve-wracking to say the least. Nevina is one of the most calming, talented seamstresses I have ever witnessed, and transformed a dress that was hanging on my body in strange ways into something that made me look like a goddess. On top of this, she did it in three days while working on other brides dresses. Trianna, again, was a calming figure who gave me assurance that everything would be done and ready for my wedding.I could not be happier with the kindness I received, the quality of the dresses, and the quality of the service.
I had a wonderful experience at Pronovias. Samantha was so incredible to work with, right away she made me feel so comfortable. She truly listened to my ideas and interests. After trying on all the dresses I picked out and not finding “The One, Samantha pulled a dress that she thought I would like, it was totally not what I was picturing, but it happened to be the one I fell in love with. Samantha is an amazing stylist and truly has an eye for bridal!After postponing my wedding due to the pandemic, I went back and bought a second gown and of course I worked with Samantha again! Both experiences were amazing, she kept the same great energy throughout our sessions. Thank you for making this experience so special!
I’ve gone to a few bridal gown shops and might I say the attendant at this location, Lindsay, is absolutely amazing. She was very attentive to my dress desires. She accommodated myself and my mother by answering multiple questions and requests. Wonderful energy. I had such an amazing experience with her helping me look for a dress. She found the most beautiful dress according to my description and I absolutely fell in love with it. It gave me an exact feel of what I wanted to wear on my wedding day. I cannot compliment Lindsay’s workmanship enough. Great experience! I highly recommend her.
Individualized attention, she listened and gave us additional choices based on our feedback. Beautiful, well made dresses. Fitting rooms were comfortably sized for a bride and 3 guests. No pressure from the sales person, so the experience was relaxed. The lighting could be better... Its all downward, which creates a lot of shadows on the dresses. Despite being there on a busy Saturday afternoon, we didnt feel crowded.
I had a fabulous experience at the Pronovias flagship in New York from my very first visit in January, 2020 all the way through my final visit and pick up of my gown in February of 2021. Pronovias was my first dress retailer that I visited and I felt that I found my gown on my very first appointment but was hesitant. The pandemic hit in March and shopping was put on hold. After stores began re-opening in the summer, I ended up purchasing a different gown elsewhere. Filled with endless wonder about my original Pronovias gown, I ended up purchasing the gown late in September, 2020. For fear of the gown not coming in in time, I purchased a sample. Sadly, upon my first fitting, I was filled with disappointment as the sample felt a tad too snug for my liking. The sales manager, Clara along with the store manager made me feel as ease assuring me that the gown could be let out and worked on until I was satisfied. Then came Julie, who is beyond what I could have dreamed of as far as seamstresses go. The minute I met her, I immediately knew that my gown would be in good hands and altered to perfection, and I was right. Julie was so patient week after week, as I stressed and complained- she didnt flinch and was so kind to stay later during appointments that ran late. I was so panicked and nervous about the gown and Julie truly was remarkable. Not only is her work phenomenal but her attitude, kindness, and patience is unmatched. It was the combination of both Clara and Julie that put me at total ease and made me feel so good about my decision to purchase from Pronovias. They both truly care about their brides and how they will feel leaving when all is said and done. I cannot sing both of their praises loud enough and hope they know that their service has not gone unnoticed.
I had the most incredible experience with Kelsi at Pronovias NYC! She was so kind, reached out to me the morning of my appointment and wanted to know what things I was looking for and even had me submit photos of what I envisioned/enjoyed. She made the day so easy and stress free and truly cannot recommend Pronovias or Kelsi enough! I would reach out immediately if you are looking for a wedding dress because this is the place!
Im not one to write reviews, nevermind a negative review. Pronovias has amazing dresses but their alterations department is absolutely terrible. The first time I tried my dress on and the consultants ordered the wrong size. On my first fitting the seamstress recommended that I lose weight instead of having them take out the dress so they didnt have to do extra work. The second fitting approaches and Pronovias called me to tell my seamstress quit and they had to cancel my appointment. I wouldnt let them cancel since my wedding was in 3 weeks so they gave me a different seamstress. Nothing had been done to my dress since the last time I saw it and this seamstress was extremely rude. She YELLED at me because I asked her to bustle the dress which is a standard wedding dress alteration. Its impossible to get in touch with anyone when you call the store but I ended up telling them to stop all alterations and picked up my dress to bring elsewhere. I would recommend getting a Pronovias dress through a bridal boutique instead of dealing with the headache of working with this store.
Kelsi is an amazing salesperson/stylist - knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We had alteration appointment problems with our dress four weeks before the wedding. Even though Kelsi did not sell us the dress, she made it a priority to help us get our appointment rescheduled and answered every phone call and text message quickly. She always remained calm, even when we werent. She really cared about making sure that we were taken care of properly. I recommend Kelsi highly - she is a great representative for Pronovias.
I’m not one to write negative posts but just wanted to share my dress drama at Pronovias in Manhattan. I went in for my 3rd alterations appointment and my dress still had pins in it. Nothing was done!! They haven’t started sewing at all. Each time I go in they show me the same dress with all the pins in it. I’m not sure what’s going on there but my dress fell though the cracks. I took my dress, demanded a refund for alterations and I ran. Pronovias has beautiful gowns but their alterations department is a disaster!!!!
I got my dress from Pronovias in August 2020. I went for my first fitting June 2021. I was told I would need three fittings in total. As I love 5 hours away I scheduled my fittings at specific times I would be in nyc. When I arrive to my second fitting 3 weeks prior to my wedding I wait 1 hour and then am told that my seamstress no longer works there and I will be assigned a new seamstress. I try on the dress and no alterations have been done to my dress. The new seamstress states that she is not sure she can get the work done in time. I am told by a manager that I will have to come back in 2 weeks for an extra fitting and when I tell her that I live 5 hours away she says “ guess you will need an afternoon appointment then” at that time I am offered a 300 dollar refund. Lily the seamstress was the only redeeming part of pronovias she was able to get my dress perfect for the day. On the day I pick up the dress I am told that I don’t have to pay the remaining 130 dollar balance and someone else will call me to ensure I get the rest of my refund. 1 month later I don’t get this call and I call them to follow up. I then get an email saying since I picked up the dress I agreed to the 130 dollar refund not 300 dollars and they will not be refunding me any more.
I give this place two stars because the dresses are gorgeous and my first appointment when I said yes to the dress was a dream. The alterations department is an absolute disaster though. I had to go back 4 separate times and each time I went back something wasnt done and I had to remind the seamstress of the fixes that we had agreed on at the last appointment. She would then proceed to have me sit and wait hours while she was in the back attempting to fix the dress in a rush. On my pick up appointment the same thing happened and her response was Im just so busy which is no excuse when we are dealing with peoples wedding dresses that they are paying you a pretty penny for!! I refused to leave the store that day until it was done as my wedding was that weekend (ended up waiting for two hours). The flat fee of alterations is tempting but I wish I had gone somewhere else for them, even if that meant paying more.
My daughter and I, along with her future mother in law and sister in law, had a wonderful experience at Pronovias in NYC today. Kelsi helped us find the perfect gown. She was knowledgeable, patient and very easy to work with. The store was clean and there was a very calm vibe. With covid precautions we felt safe. We are so appreciative of the experience we had! I was so excited to buy my dream dress. At my appointment I loved one dress, and the sweetheart neck of the other, they told me no problem in alterations they can change the neckline from deess I loved to the deep cut sweetheart from the other I liked. They wrote it on the invoice. I paid deposit, and moved on. 2 months before my wedding I have my first fitting and alterations says it can not be done. They said that there is no structure to do the sweetheart. They said that the sales team promised you something you cant have. Beyond disappointed.They bring in the head seamstress who is great, she is knowledgeable and kind and she told me she would make it similar to what I wanted, but will never be exact. My disappointment was with sales not her, as she is doing her best.At check out of my first fitting I asked for a manager they said they are on a conference call with corporate, and could not be disturbed. They said a manager would call me. I received no call.The week of my scheduled second fitting, I received a text saying my appointment was canceled because the store is closed because someone got covid. Instead of just closing for 1 night to deep clean and PCR test everyone, they closed the store for an week! Makes ZERO sense. They said someone will contact me in the comming WEEKS to reschedule my second fitting. I call them because my wedding is in 3 weeks!!!!! And my dress needs a lot of work, and a lot of alterations, and so they scheduled me for this upcoming week, now 3 weeks until my wedding. I am so nervous and worried my dress wont be done in time. I know that my dress wont be like what I paid for which is a disappointment in itself, and 100% fault of the lying greedy sales staff, but now I am worried that alterations wont be done in time.My alterations seamstress is great, and seems knowledgeable I pray to God that she made my dress work. I will find out next week because I have zero time left. My wedding is in just a few short weeks.I will post an update to say how the dress came out. Im praying they finish it.
I am so sad to be writing this review, but feel strongly that you should AVOID BUYING YOUR WEDDING DRESS FROM PRONOVIAS NYC at all costs. NO PERSON (let alone a bride trying to juggle the final weeks of wedding planning!) should have to go through what I did.I shared my experience (below) directly with store management (Latoya + Tatiana), who didnt respond. Ever. It is genuinely embarrassing that this store sells dresses at the price point it does for service like this.9/2020: I bought the dress with a rep who I felt really understood what I was looking for and helped me find what I thought would be the dress of my dreams.6/2021: My mom flew in to see the dress for the first time and have my first fitting together. We worked with Maryse, who brought a great energy and seemed to understand what alterations were needed to perfect the dress. When we left, there were pins all over the dress and we were excited.7/2021: I received a call from Pronovias, telling me that they had to reschedule because Maryse quit and did not make ANY alterations on the dress in the month since my previous fitting. This was especially disconcerting because I had very limited time to schedule future appts due to upcoming travel. Eventually, the store told me I could keep the appointment I had on the calendar for a month.7/2021: I had my second fitting with a new seamstress, Grace. She made some alterations before my arrival, but mentioned to other reps on the floor that she had done the work that morning and was impressed by how well they turned out. I was struck by the haphazard nature of the experience, but tried my best to push my skepticism aside, hopeful that things would work out.8/2021: I went for my second fitting with Grace, and didn’t notice ANY significant changes about the dress. We had discussed shortening the straps to better support my chest, and she would say things like “this looks perfect, you’ll feel a certain way on the day.” I reiterated my point about shortening the straps of the dress multiple times, but left feeling wholly uncertain that she understood my request. We scheduled the pickup appointment for the day before I was planning to fly out of town for the wedding. I was not confident that I would be able to bring my dress home based on this meeting.2 days later: Feeling nervous about everything, I called to try to reschedule my final appointment for earlier. After a long wait on hold, I was told they would call me back.5 days later: I did not hear back, so I called again. Again, I was told that someone would call me back.6 days later: I called AGAIN (as if I have time to chase them!) and after 30 minutes on hold, gave up.7 days later: I called one final time and spoke with Tatiana, who left me on hold for over 30 full minutes without checking in. She returned to the line (right before I was going to give up and call back) to tell me that a different seamstress wasn’t available to reschedule. She mentioned that my name was written in SOMEONE ELSES BOOK (?!?). I had waited on hold for 40 minutes only to learn that Grace *wasn’t even in the store that day.* At this time, I asked for an email to share my experience.8 days later: Unable to change the final appointment, I was still hopeful that I’d be able to bring my dress home as planned. I arrived to the store right on time and waited 45 minutes until Grace arrived with the dress. She had taken fabric off the back to shorten the straps, which did not work AT ALL. The hem of the dress was frayed (unfinished), and there were strings all over. I was horrified. Grace committed to coming back into the store the next morning (her day off) to make the necessary changes, and we were lucky that I was able to return before my flight that afternoon.8/2021: Grace made the changes, but the dress was far from perfect. The fabric she took off the back pulls up awkwardly, and leaves a ripple along the side of the dress. Also, the dress is bustled at a different spot than we had agreed.AVOID PRONOVIAS NYC. They do not care about their customers or service.
Went to the Pronovias Flagship Store as in the US it is not possible to order the dresses online. I was looking for a bridesmaid/cocktail dress but they had a very limited assortment and sizes. I was not able to try or buy the dresses I really wanted. I was really disappointed as I love their designs. However the personnel was very courteous and sympathetic.
I had a great experience here. After feeling overwhelmed and rushed at Kleinfelds, Pronovias was a very refreshing experience. I was very lucky that Clara who is the manager was available and the one who helped me during my appointment. She was very attentive, helpful, and pleasant. I felt like she really listened to what I wanted and was very calming which helped me feel relaxed. She walked me around the store to get a sense of what I wanted and then brought me dresses that fit that style. She wasnt pushy like some other places I had gone to. The dresses are all so beautiful and the dressing rooms are huge with great mirrors and lighting. Overall great experience!
Samantha was my stylist and I could not be happier. The entire staff was amazing. In the midst of this crazy time they made shopping for my dress amazing! The store was clean & beautiful. Samantha listened to my needs but also let me look around and do my own picking. When i decided on my dress she picked out the most amazing veil! I cannot wait to return for my first fitting. I am so happy I decided to go directly to the flagship store and not just a bridal store.
I had an amazing time shopping for my dress at Pronovias! I worked with Samantha, and she was energetic and knowledgeable about the bridal dresses we tried on. She was also very sweet and accommodating. Would definitely recommend her and Pronovias!**UPDATE: Samantha ultimately helped me find the most beautiful and perfect wedding dress for my destination wedding in December 2020! Elaine was my seamstress and she was amazing! Not only was she kind and helpful she also gave me great advice for accessories, and helped me find the perfect headpiece for my wedding day! Pronovias also had great COVID protocols and made me feel safe and comfortable during all of my dress fittings. Very pleased!
I came in twice. My first consultant was prepared for my visit, however she was late to take me (and I was 15 minutes early), was standoffish and a little rude. When I followed up with her again to come in again, she continued to be standoffish. My second time I met with someone else, who was not prepared for my appointment at all. She was strict about the amount of dresses I could try on, even thought I was only half way finished with my appointment. She then disappeared as it was time for us to leave and never said bye.
I only tried on one model and they had size 4 in the store. It fit me but she kept telling that dress was stretched out because so many people tried it on before me and I should order size 6. I am 6 foot (183cm) and about 136 lb (62kg).First I couldnt understand if she measured me why wound not just order a dress for my size, why do I need to choose between 4 and 6? Also that dress was extremely long even though I am very tall. I asked if I could get a shorter dress if they have to make it and ship it from Spain anyway? She said they could alter. I thought ok, I order a dress for $3181 and I have to pay an extra $600 to cut the bottom shorter?She did give me a discount but I think that is the stores rule. Give the customer $500 off so they feel better and then have them order a size bigger dress so we get the money back on alteration.Thank God, I read the reviews before so I insisted to order size 4. When the dress arrived it fit me perfectly, even the length was perfect like it was made for me.I was lucky that they had my size in the store so I knew what I needed and didnt let her convince me to order a larger dress so then they can get the discount back on alteration.Look at my photos and tell me if I made a mistake ordering the smaller dress. I had the train cut off in the local dry cleaner for $100 because we had a back yard wedding, it would not have been comfortable.The dress is very nice but you have to make sure what size you are before you let them order a big dress for you.
I had an amazing experience with my stylist. I showed her a few models that I found through the online catalog and even though the showroom didnt have all the styles that I wanted to try, my stylist was accommodating enough to bring me other dresses that were available that was fitting to what I was envisioning. Coincidently, the dress I ended up saying yes to was a dress that she recommended to me and Im so blessed to have found it. Very happy with my experience at Pronovias and highly recommend it to soon-to-be brides whose looking for a wide variety of dress styles with beautiful detailing at a wonderful price point.
Pronovias dresses are beautiful but I was very disappointed with their service. My first fitting was deleyed for a month and when I went in for the first fitting, they made me wait for 30 mins and nobody apologized. At the fitting, there was no communication with the lady who was measuring my dress and she kept saying she was tired. It wasnt a great experience at all and I left the store upset.
I finally found my perfect dreamy wedding dress this past weekend!! My experience at Pronovias was great! For COVID-19 safety, your temperature is checked, there is sanitizer readily available all throughout the store, gloves and masks are also available if needed. From what I could tell they kept the capacity of people low in the store so the appointment felt extremely intimate. The store is so clean and the dresses are as well. We checked in and shortly after we were greeted by our consultant. My bridal consultant was Roth who is very experienced, personable, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. We went over the dresses that I was interested in trying on, all my likes and dislikes of previous dresses that I had in the running. Roth pulled all the dresses I wanted to see plus some stunning selections that totally fit my aesthetic. Loved how private and spacious each dressing area is. Every single dress I tried on looked like perfection because he knows how to expertly shape it to your body so you can get the best idea of what your dress would look like on you. The dress I ended up choosing was one of the top two I came in to see. Me and my bridesmaid got to sip champagne while trying on dresses which ultimately ended with a congratulatory cheers for finding my perfect dress! Staff was very friendly and I’m hoping to bring my bridesmaids and mom to my first alteration fitting early next year. Thanks for a great experience and I’d highly recommend getting Roth as your consultant. He’s a dream to work with. Thanks again!
I LOVE PRONOVIAS! I think its one of the best bridal salons in Manhattan and their customer service is great! The salon is beautiful and I always have such a lovely experience every time I go there. Roth helped me find the dress originally and Maryse is my amazing Tailor who is very detailed and precise with each fitting. Cant wait to wear my dress 2x; both at a Micro-Wedding this year and at the postponed larger event in 2021.
I want to share my experience yesterday wedding dress shopping during the pandemic. I went to Pronovias and I cannot speak highly enough. They were so clean, thorough, professional, and I felt so safe! They require masks on the entire time, have sanitizer available, and require gloves on. The workers have masks and shields on.Pronovias allows 1 guest, but they allowed my sister to sit in the front waiting area and then I would come out to her. After a while, they let her back when I decided on the dress- which I thought was very kind of them. At Pronovias I had Roth and he was AMAZING. I wound up getting my dress there all thanks to him and his vision. I wound up staying 2 1/2 hours and no one rushed me out. He’s the best of the best and if anyone goes to Pronovias ask for Roth! Anyway, best experience and I’m in love with my dress!!!You’re in such good hands!
I had the best experience at Pronovias! Prior to going there I had gone to Kleinfeld, where I felt the experience was so impersonal and not at all what I had expected. At Pronovias, I had Alla as my bridal consultant—and she was amazing. She took the time to ask me all the right questions and try to get as many details as she could about my special day so it would translate to the dress. She took photos of me, had me pose, fix my hair, etc. Everything was perfect from start to finish! I also thought everything were very reasonably priced. I can’t recommend Pronovias enough. I am officially a Pronovias bride!
So lucky they exist. So I purchased my wedding dress from them last year which was spectacular. So it was only fitting to get my 1st year anniversary dress from them as well. They did not disappoint. I got a glamorous dress for the occasion. Thank you Pronovias!!! Great service everytime.
I had the most perfect experience with Clara- ask for her, you wont regret it! She was very attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and super down to earth. She really made my experience here special. The rest of the staff members were friendly and attentive as well. They all greeted me and offered assistance.When I met Clara, she greeted me with a smile, sat down, and really took her time to ask about my wedding plans and what I was looking for. She listened attentively and I felt like she got to know me on a personal level. Ive been to other wedding boutiques before but I always felt rushed and uncared for by the staff members. Clara really took her time and effort to help me look for a dress that I would like and look good in. She kept asking me for my own opinion and what I thought of the dress, instead of pushing for something. She made it easy to find the perfect dress because she guided me so well. She really knows her stuff, it was so fun and stress free to work with her!Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Provonias and I would highly recommend the store!
All the staff, especially my personal stylist Hannah, made this experience extremely special even during a weird time like COVID. I never wouldve thought Id had to wear gloves and mask the entire time of trying on wedding dresses, but with how special the staff made me feel, I completely forgot I was wearing them and focused on my experience and the dresses I was trying on. I felt very comfortable and safe throughout my time trying on dresses. Hannah was extremely pleasant to talk to and really helped guide me in how I was thinking and feeling about the dresses. And again, even with doing this through COVID, I still felt special and was able to get emotional in finding my dream wedding dress. I couldnt have asked for a better experience and I would definitely recommend everyone experience not only trying on the beautiful Pronovias dresses, but the experience the staff provides as well.
In addition to the beautiful designs and the quality of dresses, the stores are very luxurious, and staff very knowledgeable and attentive. If you have to buy a wedding dress or a gown for any special occasion I highly recommend Pronovias. They provide each shopper with a massive private area to try on dresses and comfortably relax. I worked with Roth and he was AMAZING. On day 1 of wedding dress shopping, Pronovias was my second and last stop. Roth was able to sum up my style and bring out such a beautiful dress that exceeded my expectations.
Even though I love how the dresses look on their website, the service is not great. When I got in the store they said I cant see the wedding dresses because I had to make an appointment first. Which is NOT exactly what the website says. And it doesnt make sense because I wasnt even planning on trying them on, I just wanted to see first. They told me I can only see cocktail dresses, but no one would even help you find all of them. --thank you! Def a bad service and definitely not going back.
This was my first time going to Pronovias. I have always dreamed of wearing a gown from them. My stylist Samantha was super sweet, and listened to the things that I liked and details regards the wedding. She picked out amazing gowns, and I said yes to one of them. I only came here with intentions of finding a gown, that I had forgotten about accessories. Samantha was able to help me find a beautiful and simple veil. The place is very clean, and meticulous about cleanliness and the safety of their customers especially during this time of the pandemic. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much, Emily! Emily made us feel so special from the time we walked in to the time we left! We had a rough day from the start —our first bridal boutique really did not make us feel very welcomed, there was a lot of dead time, no one offered water or champagne, no A/C, and I felt very blah. On our way into the city it took over 2 hours we were running late because of multiple accidents into the Lincoln tunnel and we felt so bad for wasting pronovias’s time. We called Emily to apologize to tell us we were running late and if we should book for a later time. Emily told us to not worry to take our time she understood and was more than accommodating. When we arrived she was waiting at the front to greet us with the biggest smile she was dressed so chic and so professional and I felt so bad but she was so sweet and soothing and really took control of the situation. She immediately put us at ease (we literally came bolting in because we felt so bad that we were wasting people’s time)!! She instantly offered us water told me to breath, offered champagne and told us to relax. She had already pulled the dresses I wanted to try and treated me with so much kindness and so much understanding. Walking in I really felt like everything was going wrong before we met Emily but after the appointment my group and I all said collectively the bad start to the day and the 2 hours of traffic was so worth it because of the experience we had at Pronovias with Emily. All of the styles I had picked for myself just didn’t flatter me or made me feel like I was swallowed by fabric. I’m really insecure about my kangaroo pouch and weight and Emily was instantly on the ball with what other styles and ideas she wanted to try that might make me feel like a bride for once!!! Her selections BLEW ME OUT OF THE WATER!!!!!! She is so knowledgeable, so professional, she has the BEST taste and eye for fashion and flattering shapes on different body types!!!!! I was literally floored with her ideas and suggestions. I went from feeling so insecure and defeated to feeling so sexy and beautiful and like a BRIDE!!!!! She got to know me, my venue , my fiancé and was so thoughtful!! All with styles she picked for me that I never even considered captured everything I was looking for —sophisticated, elegant, wow factor everything I wanted but just couldn’t find myself !!!! I seriously felt like a princess!!! Emily wasn’t just a bridal consultant she was basically my fairy godmother and life coach!! She is so welcoming, she knows what she is doing and she found me my dream wedding gown!!! My group was treated so well too like 5 star treatment —we called jt the New York Park Avenue experience because they really rolled out the red carpet. It was night and day to what we had experienced earlier in the day. I can’t wait to see my dress next summer and feel so beautiful again!! Thank you so much Emily!!!!
Coming here for my wedding dress was the most amazing experience.The moment you walk in and see the dresses on display you feel a touch of magic.Asia, my bridal consultant was sweet and efficient. She clearly understood what I was looking for when she made her gown selections, which made actually picking one a little hard cause they were all so stunning. She chose a veil that complimented the dress I chose so perfectly I had to have it otherwise I knew my look wouldn’t be complete.The entire experience was fun and relaxed, my mother, two of my bridesmaids and I sat on a comfortable couch sipping champagne while I played dress up. We didn’t feel rushed or pushed into making any choices.Every dress I tried on was well made, of the highest quality material and elegant. Every bride should make Pronovias a destination in search of their perfect dress. I guarantee they will find one there.
My stylist did an amazing job bringing gowns based on my inspiration dresses. She also did an excellent job fitting and clamping the dresses which make all the difference. The entire team was inviting, professional and welcoming. I ended up picking a dress from another shop but highly recommended the flagship store.
If I could give this place negative stars I absolutely would. I had an appointment booked for 2:30pm and I was stuck in traffic due to an accident which happens quite often here in NYC. I called to let them know that I would be about 15 minutes late to my appointment and was told if I was going to be later than that, it would be no problem and to give them another call just to let them know. I was sitting in the same spot on the FDR drive and called to let them know that Ill be a few more minutes late. The woman who picked up the phone was rude and all she said was Well, we will be here just come. So, I did just that. My friend and I arrive at the shop and were immediately treated like we didnt belong there (think Pretty Woman nasty saleswomen). The woman at the front looked at us as if we walked in from a homeless shelter. She was rolling her eyes and looking us both up and down with disgust. I was told that as soon as someone is 15 minutes late, they automatically reschedule your appointment for another date. If thats the case, why wasnt I told this the second time I called? She said she has no idea who picked up the phone I told her the name she said no one works here with that name, really? We asked if we could at least look around to get an idea of the dresses they have. The woman hesitated for a bit and then offered to take our temperatures and give us sanitizer. After she did that, she just walked away and didn’t even give us any guidance as to what the dress styles were in what section. My friend and I looked at each other took one pass around the front and immediately walked out. If you’re coming here to spend a pretty penny on not just any dress but your WEDDING dress, you should be treated like a queen and feel welcomed by the staff. I’m so glad I walked out and booked myself an appointment at another bridal shop called Lotus Bridal in Brooklyn. That’s where I ended up purchasing my dress because I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness. RUN don’t walk away from this store and take yourself to Lotus Bridal. All I have to say is, big mistake…BIG! H U G E !
This was the best experience I have ever had. Everyone that was involved was amazing. I was a recipient of a dress from pronovias through the heroes collection and I nearly cried. The manager was beyond amazing and got to share with me his experience during COVID-19. They all thanked me for being a nurse and it was just an amazing feeling! The dresses were beautiful and I had the most amazing experience! There were various dresses and I loved my dress! Best experience ever!! I felt beautiful, looked beautiful and they even gave champagne (very fancy!) Every staff member was amazing from the time we walked through the door. Kayla, Evans, Roth, their other consultant was amazing( I don’t remember his name)He was just so sweet! I don’t remember his name but they were EVERYTHING!!! Best DRESS APPOINTMENT EVER!!! Pronovias I thank you, this was such a blessing and 5 stars are not enough for how amazing this dress appointment was.
I had an appointment with Kelsi and it was an amazing experience! She was very knowledgable and pulled gorgeous gowns for me based on my input. She also guided me through the appointment without feeling rushed and made great suggestions/advice. Thank you Kelsi for making me feel super comfortable and overall giving me the perfect experience!
Pronovias is nothing but beauty and class. My stylist Roth is amazing. I can’t say enough nice things about him or the dresses. I love the variety of styles they have. One is more beautiful then the next. Finding THE DRESS for me was a great experience and I can’t wait to wear it on the big day!
Samantha, the stylist I worked with, was excellent! My sisters, mom, and I appreciated her enthusiasm for helping me finding my wedding dress. She was attentive to details especially to our critique and provided helpful suggestions even pulling several accessories (their veils were beautiful) and appliques for us to get an idea of how the look we were envisioning could be done after alterations. Could not recommend Samantha and Pronovias enough! What a wonderful experience! I wish I could do it all over again.
The WORST customer service. I want to keep this short and to the point, but I will start from the fact that I scheduled an appointment to try on dresses on August 1 2020 for my wedding that is scheduled for August 21 2021. I live in Colorado so I wanted to give them plenty of time to make the dress, and have it shipped to me for the fittings and alterations in Colorado.1) my consultant did not even measure my height when I was being sized for my ordered dress. I am 6ft tall, and actually had to come back in and ask if they needed by height measurement and had another consultant measure me and add it to my order.2) my consultant was told by me multiple times throughout I will not be doing my fittings here I need it shipped to Colorado so I want to have the dress by February. She put in the incorrect date and it wasn’t going to ship to PRONOVIAS store until June 1 2021!!!3) one manager I spoke with about the incorrect date was very rude and basically told me I was out of luck and would have to pay double the dress to get it rushed. Mind you I ordered it August 1st, noticed the incorrect date and called them in Sept to get the dress shipped to me by latest April 1st 2021. Spoke to another manager who said she could get it to me April 1st. By the way that consultant was no longer working there when I called in Sept.4) April 10th rolls around I call them. Oh my dress has been in. No one bothered to call me to let me know it was it and certainly didn’t ship it like they were supposed to.5) I confirmed that they were to ship fed ex and make sure I signed for the package. They shipped fed ex but did not have me sign for my wedding dress it just sat on my porch for anyone to take if they wanted.6) My dress was torn when I received it. I sent them photos. Thankfully alterations can fix it here, but I reached out to PRONOVIAS customer service it took me a Several weeks and multiple emails to even hear back to say that they won’t even pay for the cost of alterations to fix that piece.7) I requested that all of these issues get elevated and they told me they could not put me in contact with anyone higher.This has to be the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. For as much as you pay for a pronovias I would never recommend their brand to anyone. The worst company, the worst customer service, and they only care about money. Utterly disgusted as I planned way in advance for everything. If you have your heart set on one of their dresses DO NOT trust them double, triple check and apparently never have it sent outside of the store.
I am so happy with my experience at pronovias. I said yes to the dress!!!! I found my dream dress here, all of the pieces I tried on were gorgeous. Samantha was so welcoming, helpful, and made my experience a great unforgettable one. I am extremely happy with the service and hospitality. I will be recommending to everyone. Thanks so much!!!!
I had the privelege of working with Geannel at Pronovias NYC. She contacted me earlier in the week, before my appointment, to get an idea of my style and what I was interested in. The day of my appointment she was very kind, professional, and listened very well to what my likes, needs and concerns were. I got my wedding dress and we were very happy with our experience!
My dress alone already is stunning but the fact that over 3 months ago I came for my second dress fitting my belt wasn’t here, they forgot , and promised me it would get here quick. Three months later my belt is still not here ??? Completely unprofessional and inconsiderate. In 3 months nobody could’ve communicated with me where my belt was? What happened ? Then I have to hear some lame excuse now. I’m sorry the dresses are beautiful but will not recommend. Would not even recommend anyone I know about to get married to step foot in this place.
Cathy was wonderful, patient, and efficient. She brought out the perfect selection of dresses based on my vision and budget, and I was able to purchase my dress at the end of my appointment. Cathy worked with me in discussing possible alterations/adjustments to each dress based on my style and what I wanted (adding lining/sleeves). I would highly recommend Pronovias and working with Cathy!
Samantha at Pronovias is beyond amazing. Meticulous, accommodating, patient and totally in sync with every client. She read my style with ease and brought me dresses that I LOVED and looked phenomenal. She even helped my mum find two amazing mother of the bride dresses! She bent over backwards and answered one thousand million questions with clarity and speed. Dont go anywhere else.
The best experience I could have ever imagined. The store is stunning and quiet and private. There is no need to be trying on dresses in front of other brides. My consultant was Tanya and SHE WAS THE BEST! She made me feel so calm, and beautiful. She was so patient and kind. I found my dress after only trying on 3 other dresses Tanya had pulled. The whole experience overall was a dream and I couldn’t be happier with Pronovias.
This was a DREAM bridal shopping experience! Our sales girl Cathy was so fun, personable and welcoming. She made the entire experience incredible, and thought of all the little touches to make a bride feel extra special. Not to mention the store itself is stunning, with the most amazing dresses (for very reasonable prices). No other experience in the city compared- if you are shopping for your wedding dress, GO HERE & ask for Cathy! It will be an experience you never forget!
I had such an amazing experience at Pronovias! The woman helping me, Samantha, was awesome. She made the entire experience feel so personal, really listening to me and helping me figure out different dresses to try on. While trying on the gowns, Samantha helped me feel comfortable throughout the entire experience, and made every part of it so fun! It was the perfect combination of feeling like I was shopping with an expert personal stylist but also a friend. My Mom wasnt able to be there in person due to COVID restrictions on travel (she lives in Chicago) but Samantha made her feel completely included on FaceTime. The salon was exquisite - so clean, beautiful, romantic, and special. I felt completely safe there COVID-wise and that they took every precaution extremely seriously. Everyone else I interacted with at the salon was very kind and nice, and I literally felt like the most special girl in the world while I was there. I also found my dress!! Im so happy.
My experience so far at Pronovias has been amazing. They make sure you are not rushed and listen to what you want. My stylist, Evan, was great!. from the time I met him I noticed how interested he was in helping my find the perfect dress for me instead of it just being a transaction. Thanks Pronovias team!

I did not feel rushed or pressured when trying on dresses. There were so many beautiful gowns & I am so happy with the dress I selected! She was so helpful and accommodating at my appointment and helped me arrange a time shortly after so my remaining family could see the dress before I purchased. She also had a great eye and I ended up getting a dress I never would have chosen myself. Highly recommend!
Had an above and beyond experience at Pronovias!!!! Especially with Roth! He was not only so experienced but he thought about everything! The way he pinned my dress to ACTUALLY see how it looks. He really listened to me when I shared my details on my dream dress. Not only did I fall so damn in love with the dress but it also compliments my venue! His customer service has been over the top and I had already previously had two other appointments in the city and when I said yes to the dress. It was a YASSSSS QUEEN! I can’t wait for my big day!
I heard good things about Pronovias so I was really looking forward to my visit. Unfortunately, before I even arrived, I received a text that they only allow you to try on 5 dresses due to COVID. This rule doesnt make much sense to me especially since I was fully vaccinated and when I go to clothing stores, I am never limited to the amount of clothes I can try on. Anyway, I agreed to give it a try. First when I arrived, I was completely thrown off by what my assistant was wearing (an extremely short dress with boots and socks coming out). I am not one to judge, but it was a very unprofessional look and distracting. Then when I showed her what kind of dress I liked, she showed me the complete opposite of what I showed her. Normally, I would have been ok with looking at different styles, but since I am limited to 5 dresses this irked me. It got to the point where I ended up walking through the store myself to find the style that I wanted and I wasnt even able to try it on due to their COVID protocols. To top it off, everyone had an attitude in there and I wouldnt qualify them as experts at all. Dont waste your time.
Geannel from Pronovias just got me! Every dress she picked for me made the choice very hard, but I knew in her first selection for me that my dress was there. In my first time trying on dresses at Pronovias, I found TWO dresses that I fell in love with. I left the store to think about it, and came back a few days later to try them on again. It was then that I knew which one was perfect for me. Geannel did not hesitate to get me in a full bridal look, complete with a veil. She had their head seamstress come over and make a few adjustments to the sample dress so I could get more of an idea of how the dress would perfectly fit my body. They made me feel like a supermodel and it was such a magical experience. It’s important to note that due to covid, my family could not be with me to see this moment. I was really upset about this but the Pronovias family made me feel so loved, supported and so special in both appointments. Book an appointment with Pronovias and ask for Geannel! You will not be disappointed!
I was recently married in September, 2018. I started looking for dresses in September and October of 2017. I went to Pronovias Flagship in NYC as a place of choice due to their amazing selection of unique and beautiful dresses. After wanting to see more options I headed to another place in NYC and my experience was not very pleasant. I then decided to go back to Pronovias and on both occasions I had an exceptional experience. They helped me find my dream dress while sipping some delicious Cava! I had an amazing team, from the consultant who helped find my dress, all the way to the seamstress Trianna who made sure my dress fit just right. They were beyond nice and easy to work with, especially when my last fitting turned out to not be my last fitting due to some weight loss. They turned the dress around right in time and I could not be happier. Finding a dress is usually one of the most stressful parts of wedding planning and this experience could not have been easier. Everyone went above and beyond to meet my needs and ensure I have 100% satisfied and felt beautiful for my special day. I highly recommend Pronovias for all future brides! They are just fantastic!
We bought my sisters wedding dress here and had an incredible experience. We had tried other stores and she never loved anything she tried on. Every dress the consultant pulled at Pronovias was gorgeous on her (and below budget)! We ended up with the first dress he had her try on. The consultant brought out a bottle of champagne to celebrate the purchase. This place makes your group feel far more important than other bridal salons.
I can not speak on an in store experience since I didnt even make it to the store. What I will speak on is the experience that led me to cancel my appointment. I set my appointment weeks in advance. No problem. Three days before the appointment I get a reminder text message for the appointment. No problem there. You have all of these Covid regulation in place. Not even a problem there. You get to only try on 5 dresses not even a problem there. ( though they should offer you the option to pick the dresses when you make the appointment to ensure they have it it stock) The problem is when they ask if you have dresses in mind and you provide them with 5 dresses from their website (which is not saturated with dresses) three days before your appointment and they tell you they have not one of the 5 in store. Not one. Really. Its disheartening. Covid is already taking away from the experience and then this. They offered to have one shipped from God knows where but that doesnt sound Covid proof to me. Youre going to order a dress without knowing my size without knowing if wherever its coming from is following proper sterilization protocols so that I can try the gown on. It would have been better in my opinion to ask Hey thanks for providing those dress to us. Out of the five which one is the must have? Then do whatever you needed behind the scenes to get it. At the time of the appointment say sorry we dont have four of them but we have your main pick. Do not offer a similar silhouette because that is not going to tell me how the dress I want looks. The silhouette may be the same but nothing else is. How does trying on dress B help me purchase dress A? Sad is the dress I had my heart set on is no longer an option.
They have not made a single requested alteration to my dress that I purchased in 2019. It’s now 2 weekends before my wedding, I’ve had 4 fittings since purchasing the dress and each time, the necessary adjustments have not been made. I am terrified they will not make the changes in time for my wedding. This store has lost all of my trust and I will dissuade all of my friends from going to this store. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED.
I’m really disappointed with unwillingness of Pronovias to work with brides when their weddings are cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. I understand your lack of refund/exchange policy but when my wedding was postponed and then cancelled due to social gathering restrictions Pronovias was unwilling to work with me to exchange my unaltered gown for a more appropriate civil ceremony dress. I was willing to pay the full price of my original gown for a less expensive simpler dress that would appropriate for a civil ceremony and even pay an additional fee for the change. However, I was met with a lack of compassion and the response that all sales are final, I can either forfeit my entire deposit and receive no dress, or pay off the remainder of my gown to receive the original gown when I have no wedding reception to wear it to due to current and indefinite covid-19 restrictions. Don’t waste your time or money at with Pronovias.
I am deeply disappointed with the way Pronovias handled the dress process with me during the COVID crisis. The response rate via email was dismal. While I completely understand that my first fitting appointment needed to move because of NYC re-opening timelines, I had to be the one to reach out to the Pronovias team to ask whether the appointment was happening.The woman I emailed with was Tara Limoges. When I asked for a refund for the dress I was told you could hold it for a year or I could lose the deposit, despite the fact that my wedding was still happening on August 1. You essentially held my dress hostage. I will never use this company again and will do my part to ensure anyone I ever interact with never uses your company. I intend to write negative reviews online everywhere I can stating that Pronovias is nothing but a money hungry organization that in a time of crisis was unresponsive, rude, and lacked empathy for the stress their clientele was going through.
I usually don’t post reviews for the reason that people only complain about the negative experiences they have but never seem to talk about when they have a good experience. Well, this is an exception. Pronovias is a well-liked, high-end designer that attracts many brides. I have visited numerous bridal boutiques and always seem to lean towards this designer at my fittings.I traveled over 6 hours to NYC to attend the sample sale at Pronovias. As described to me over the phone, dresses would be a size 10, in great condition, and that you would have a stylist at your appointment to assist you (as expected).Upon arrival, we were told we needed to check our bags. Their idea of “checking a bag” was going into a room next to the store entrance and placing it on a counter with a number attached to it. Not locked in a secure area, unattended, and open to people freely walking in. An employee walked me back to 5 racks and simply said “Here you go.” My response was “How does this work” and she said “You are limited to 3 dresses, you find an available fitting room, and you try-on yourself.” I will try to say this nicely... the dresses were utterly disgusting. They all have been tried on 100s of times, ripped, and stained. No seamstress or professional cleaning could save these dresses. Trying to stay open-minded... I tried on 3 dresses. I am an extremely active female who weighs 120lbs and is 5’8”. I couldn’t even fit into the dresses because they were so small. After spending 15 minutes in the store, we were ready to leave. Not one consultant asked if I needed help, if I had any questions, absolutely no communication.I wasn’t even given the opportunity to try-on their new collection nor were they interested in any information regarding my interests or budget. Well, Pronovias NYC... you not only lost a customer that day but I will not be purchasing this designer from another boutique because of how poorly I was treated today. I came into your store with a desirable budget that would allow me to try-on almost anything and was ready to buy a dress on the spot. Shame on you. To all future brides, I hope you have a better experience and even better wedding, cheers!
Samantha helped me find my dream dress and was absolutely phenomenal. She worked so hard (literally running up and down stairs) to pull different dresses that I would never have thought to try and made suggestions on how we could make it exactly what I wanted! She really thought outside the box to make sure I got exactly what I was looking for. I could not have had a better experience. Run don’t walk to Pronovias and request Samantha!
I was extremely nervous going into my appointment. I thought everything would be out of my price range or in my size. I had a mini panic attack walking in especially after reading the other reviews here.I was beyond pleased with my experience here! SO much so I bought my dress! From the very first minute we met Christiane we were impressed! She was awesome and let me try on all the dresses I had written down, but her expertise guided me to the best dress for me! The prices are not outrageous, the entire staff was out of their way nice to my mom and my guests and Sarah the manager came up to say hello and make sure that we were happy. She spent an amazing amount of time with us, I never felt rushed or like we were annoyance at all! I walked out ordering my entire get-up for the big day, veil and headpiece included! I cannot wait to go back for my first fitting!I cannot thank you all enough for making me feel like a princess!Angelica
I have always wanted to be a Pronovias bride up until last Friday 4/20/18. I absolutely love their dresses and thats why I made this store my first stop when looking for a wedding dress. My experience here was not fun, happy or even good. The assistant I had helping me had an attitude once I told her I already knew what I wanted to try on. I gave her a list of about 8 dresses. She only brought 3. I ended up not liking them so she went looking for more came back with some others that I did not care for that much either. She didnt seem to think I was serious about finding a dress as there was so urgency for anything when I told her no she just kind of looked at me. I asked for other dresses which I was told were not in the store. Then my sister asks, the dresses then are there. So Im not sure what was going on. The couch area was not comfortable, we were not offered water or anything. Long story short save your time. I should have seen these reviews before I went I could have had a more productive appointment elsewhere.
They ordered me a dress size ZERO. Yes, I am naturally a US size 0 however, these dresses are European and European sizes generally run small. Long behold the dress came and it didn’t fit, way too small. If the dress comes too small, you are technically supposed to be guaranteed a new dress but my timeline was tight. My seamstress Maria was magical and worked some of her magic but it took painstakingly 6or more fittings pins and all. After all that. They forgot to include my blusher in my dress bag. I have the manager of the stores private number and she keeps making empty promises to call me back and make everything right. I am extremely disappointed. My wedding day was hugely affected by this. My mom paid a lot of money for my dress and she deserves a full refund. Cant wait to wreck the dress.I will be showing up in person to get t he deserved apologies and appropriate retributions. Ie my parents to get my money Back. I refuse to confront this any other way. See you soon
I had an amazing experience with Samantha. Honestly, she was absolutely great. She made me feel beautiful even though I have my own self-insecurities. We were honest with each other in trying on, she could immediately tell when I wasnt feeling a dress. She listened to me with what I wanted and didnt want. She even showed me the jacket that came with the dress and we both laughed because she said I know I didnt show you the first time because I knew how you would feel and she was right because as we were signing the contracts, I said NO JACKET lol (it was beautiful just too glitzy for me). She helped me get in and out of the dresses. We found the ONE and it felt like we both fell in love with it. She was so accommodating when I asked to come back one second time to try it on. Her vibrant positive energy honestly made me, as I am sure many others, feel like they are the most gorgeous bride ever.
I had a great experience shopping for my wedding dress here. My consultant, Tanya, really look the time to understand what I was looking for and took us up to the floor that housed that style of dress. We had the entire floor to ourselves! It felt like a VIP experience. Tanya was so helpful in picking out dresses that matched what I was describing, and was very considerate of our budget. When I had some questions about sizing, she took the time to go get her manager to give a second opinion. She was so thoughtful and kind and really made it a wonderful shopping experience! First time visiting the New York store. My daughter received a gown through the Heroes Collection. Samantha was amazing! She took the time to find the perfect dresses for my daughter. Kristen was literally treated like a princess. We were not rushed and Samantha gave us her undivided attention. The 3rd dress was it! And a complimentary glass of champagne to boot! Thank you Samantha and Pronovias for making Kristens dream come true!
Bottom line based on my experience: This store is very disorganized with fittings and alterations, customer service at management level is awful, and you will spend hours and hours waiting.I waited a minimum of 1 hour before each fitting, but the worst was my final fitting. When I came to pick up my dress, the hem and other alterations (bustle ties color coordinated, cutting blusher off veil) were not complete. They tried to hide the fact that it wasnt done and asked I came back in 5 hours to pick it up because they needed to steam it (not sure in what universe steaming takes 5 hours). When I gently pushed back, they said I could come back in 3 hours, but that I could not try the dress on again (Ive seen this trend in other reviews... I dont understand why this would be a standing policy?). When I came back in 3 hours I waited 45 minutes to be seen, and I quickly tried on the dress (because I asked), and was told now they needed to steam it (I thought they had done that within the 3 hours of my first visit?). I waited another 2 hours (after asking kindly twice how much longer itd be) to finally get my hands on the dress. The manager did not apologize, nor even acknowledge how long I waited until I gave her a silent response. To which she said oh, youve been such a trooper. I didnt need to be a trooper, I needed to be treated fairly and with honesty. If the manager had told me at my first visit earlier that day that the dress wasnt done, and to just come back tomorrow-- it wouldve saved me hours of precious time traveling back and forth, and waiting at the store a mere two days before my wedding.It seems the only people who get good customer service are the ones who make a huge stink and yell at managers. The dresses are so gorgeous, though I will never recommend this bridal salon to any of my friends or family.The Positives: My experience trying on and purchasing my dress was amazing... the Manager (at the time) Sarah and my Consultant Emerald were lovely, patient, and open minded. They gave me my space, and helped me make my decision without any pushiness.
Had a great experience picking my dress and was happy with the seamstress but everything else was a nightmare. Terrible customer service, terrible communication and I am giving a lot of leeway for pandemic issues here. At one point they lost my dress in the stock room and lied about it being stuck in customs. Great product but not worth the stress and lost time.
Brides, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. My experience from start to finish was terrible. This company is severely lacking in customer service. My first fitting was scheduled and no one called to follow up. Then, COVID happened. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my dress order. I tried contacting anyone and everyone I had email access to as I was desperate to get help. This took place for a few weeks, then I finally got in contact with someone. After pleading with their corporate office to return my deposit, they refused. Even with a global pandemic, that was completely unforeseen and unplanned, I was now out of my deposit whether I liked it or not. Any reputable business would understand the circumstances. I’d think a company that prides themselves on helping women, I’d hope they’d have the capacity to understand what I was going through, let alone brides in general at this time. Then, I receive a call a few months later from a sales girl wanting me to come in about the dress I had cancelled. Obviously, nothing was communicated to their retail team. I then try to call back several times to resolve this and leave a message, again I cannot get through to anyone. Overall, their customer service and organizational skills are lacking. Save yourself the time, ladies.
Visited the store 3 times, first appt with Roth went amazing found my wedding dress and more. I bought two dresses, two veils, accessories and add ons. I felt completely at ease and excited following this appt. Appt #2, I came back to show my mom the final decisions. An hour before my appt they called to say they didn’t realize they didn’t have the dress. We were already on our way to the store and flew into NY specifically for this appt. There was zero compassion and just terrible communication. Left this appt feeling wary but still hopeful. Appt #3, my first fitting none of my order was together or ready I had to keep reminding the seamstress of my order and things that were missing. Poor communication and customer service towards my family who were there for the fitting. Really wanted to love Pronovias but my experience has not been the best and for brides who plan to only experience this once, it’s unfortunate. Left my last two appts feeling more drained and disappointed as opposed to excited and at ease. Called 4 times since my last appt to confirm the changes before going into my last fitting and have just been transferred to different workers who can’t confirm my alterations for my upcoming appt
Kayla was the absolute best in helping me find my dress! She didn’t pressure me, she helped me find not only what I like but she had me try on styles I didn’t know existed ! I 100% did not plan on buying a dress here when I came because I had an appointment at Klenfield the next day. Kayla was so open to everything and only wanted me to be happy! Which is a breathe of fresh air after going to other salons that would ask me if I’m saying “yes” after trying on two dresses. 100% would recommend coming here and seeing Kayla especially if you like Pronovias dresses. I can’t thank Kayla enough and everyone at Pronovias !!! So excited for my fitting and sad that it’s next year because I want to go back and see my dress again 😍.
My wedding dress experience with Pronovias was actually great despite all the negative reviews. Heloisa assisted me in finding a wedding dress after only trying on a few dresses. What I recommend to all brides is to log into the Pronovias website before going in the store rather than have the associates pull dresses based on what you describe to them what you are looking for.Therefore you save time in trying on dresses you may not actually like that they select for you. After purchasing my dress I was paired with Grace who assisted me with all the fittings. She listened to all my worries and my dress fit exactly how I wanted it to . I will forever be grateful! Coming here was definitely worth the money, time, and most of all for my beautiful dress! Thank you Pronovias!
Roth, my sales consultant, was an absolute dream. While I only tried on two dresses, Roth helped me define more clearly what I was looking for in my dress (even beyond the powerpoint I came in with) and pointed me in the right direct. Roth clearly was not trying to sell a dress to me that I wouldnt be fully in love with. In the end, I ended up choosing a dress from an Israeli designer, which is precisely the type of designer Roth knew I would love :)
Geannel, my consultant, was so great to work with. She was warm, patient, understood my vision, and went above & beyond to ensure I felt good leaving my appointment. I went to several salons over the weekend, and my experience at Pronovias was at the top of the list. Thank you for everything!
I felt safe being in the store despite the pandemic. Everyone kept their masks on and used hand sanitizer. All of the staff were very friendly. Evan instantly made me feel good about trying on dresses for the first time. He helped me through the process of finding what I liked and didnt like, he listened and really took time to help me find the perfect dress. He helped me find the PERFECT one!!! It was everything I dreamed of and more for our wedding day. I cannot wait to wait to wear it. Thank you!
I had an excellent experience at Pronovias. It was welcoming, and clean. My bridal consultant, Hannah, was very friendly, easy-going, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have a great selection for every bride and I found my perfect dress there. I would recommend to any bride.
The service and boutique made us feel welcome. The sales professional helped me to really think about what I wanted for my special day by asking great questions and getting to know my wedding style. I was not impressed with the dress selection in store, they had less options than I expected.
I had a wonderful experience! They found the dress I loved that seemed impossible to find! If I didn’t get that dress, I had a beautiful backup, but so happy I was able to get exactly what I wanted. Only negative at this store compared to others is that they don’t clip you in the dresses with the strong metal clips like other stores. You want that strong clip so you can see you body well and move around without them pooping off ie plastic clips they use. Ultimately, this was a beautiful store with beautiful dresses, a wonderful experience and spacious guest waiting area. I also got a bigger room bc it was less full when I was there which was great! Thank you again for making my dreams come true finding that special gown for me!! I’m so excited!!
Just picked up my dress ! Wanted to say I had the best experience with the tailor Julie. She was definitely so attentive to detail , and the most helpful person there. Every time she ran to quickly fix the dress , and gave endless compliments. You should definitely request her for your fitting and you will not be sorry ! Thanks to Julie I truly feel like a princess !
I had a great time picking out my dress from the Heroes collection with the amazing help of Roth! He was so knowledgeable and made the experience easy and fun! Pronovias was the first and last stop in my search for a dress. We had an awesome partner (yasss Cathy Lee) who made me feel like I was meeting a friend to talk dress shop. She asked me the exponential question of what I wanted to exude on my wedding day. Yikes! A question I shouldve asked myself! A good sign that she was trying to get to the root of what I really wanted. She worked within our budget and never made us feel any pressure to choose already or spend more than our target. She was down to earth and a good listener—not just to me but sensing my mother/mother-to-be and good friends. Because it was my first stop, with other appointments on the books, I wanted to make sure I satisfied my curiosities. After visiting the Davids Bridals and Kleinfelds of the world, I asked my mom to get a part 2 on with Pronovias. Based on the experience of being in that space with the support of Cathy, paired with the cultural flair and quality of the dress work, it was a no brainer. I left Pronovias part 2 with the same dress I already knew I wanted since day 1.Thank you thank you thank you to Cathy and the team there. I HIGHLY recommend any bride visit the shop during their quest!

I have had a wonderful experience purchasing my wedding dress at Pronovias. I am especially grateful to Oscar, who helped me find the dress and my seamstress, Julie, who put so much care, attention and detail to perfecting my dress, putting in long hours, and making sure it fit me like a glove. Thank you both so much, I am looking most forward to wearing my dress next month!
I wish I listened to the reviews, they absolutely RUINED my bridal moment and it was such a stressful and terrible process going for my fittings. The dresses are absolutely beautiful and with every boutique I went to, I was always drawn to them. Seemed like it made sense to get a dress directly with them, but once they make the sale, the service significantly declined. They tried to shuffle my seamstress around and pushed me to do them so late that at the end, when my dress still needed adjustments, there was literally no time to do it. On top of that, beading was missing from the dress. Do yourself a favor and find the dress you love there and just get it or alter it elsewhere. NIGHTMARE!
What an awkward visit..it was my first time trying on wedding dresses. When I sat down with my consultant, I showed her what I wanted to try on (from the Pronovias 2020 collection). She went to the back and returned empty handed and said they didnt have any of the ones I selected. Fine. (but also what gives? How do you not carry the new collection in your flagship store??) . Then she asks what I like about the dress I had in mind, so I explain a few things about it..she goes back to the back to see what she can find that is similar, and again returns COMPLETELY EMPTY HANDED, Sorry - we dont have anything like that.... Are you serious?Thankfully the friend I brought stepped in and spelled it out for the consultant, Well, this is Laurens first time trying on dresses... weve come from San Francisco...is there really nothing here she can try on? Can you pull anything for her to just try a few things, given that we booked this appointment?...I eventually tried on a few dresses, but my consultant was a total wet blanket on the experience.I finally asked if there were any other Pronovias stores anywhere in the country that carry the dress I was looking for. She said she wasnt sure and couldnt verify. When we pressed further she looked into it, and confirmed that theres a store in Spain (also not at their flagship there) that has it in a size 10 (Im a size 2).I left the store, called a store in San Francisco (who confirms that they have it) and have since returned to SF to buy it here.What a weird and disappointing experience -- its lucky that Pronovias is such an exceptional designer as this service was a joke and I would otherwise go elsewhere.
First off, Heloisa was AMAZING!!! I found out Pronovias was doing a truck show the weekend of my trip to New York. I had already planned looking for dresses at Kleindfelds and Lovely. I truly didnt think I would find my dress at Pronovias and it was a last minute appointment. So I ended up going to Pronovias first thinking it would just be fun and I would find my dress at Kleindfelds. But, I found my dream dress at Pronovias! It was so perfect, white, buttons, lace, and the dress was in pristine condition. I didnt buy the dress since I had two other appointments already. Kleindfelds was the worst bridal appointment. What a let down. And Lovely was ...well,.....lovely, but they didnt have my dream dress. I e mailed Heloisa who was my bridal consultant that night from my hotel at around midnight. She emailed me right back!!! (Does she ever sleep?) She opened up the store for me early the next day and let me try the dress on one more time just to make sure I was 100%. The dress was made for me! You dont realize how a consultant can make or break your appointment. She listened to what I said and could see my vision. She was amazing!
I honestly had high hopes for this place since my best friend and maid of honor both got their dresses here last year. I had stopped in the store prior to quarantine and met with the manager Tara who let me browse the store without an appointment and was super helpful and sweet, answering all my questions about dresses and style. She also sent me inspo pics for dresses later, because of this I was excited to actually have an appointment since NYC was opening up.Fast forward to now when theres apparently a new team and new manager who wouldnt even come out from the back when I asked. The appointment was rushed and and I was not able to try on all the dresses I wanted. I didnt feel special like I was buying a wedding dress at all. They made me feel like Im just another number to them and new management.
A bad experience that turned out to be AMAZING! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Jenna! After having many issues with the alterations of my dress, the seam of the dress was still off. Of course after several tries and still not happy with the way my dress fit and crying, Jenna to the rescue! Jenna is a life saver, she did everything to make sure I was happy and loved my dress. In the end the whole team pulled together a brand new beautiful dress that was amazing and fit me perfect!!!
I had the BEST experience with Roth! He listened to my needs, but presented me with an option I would have never considered and thanks to him, I said yes to the dress!!! Thank you so much, Roth-- you made me feel so beautiful and made the process so much fun! You are made for this job!!!
STAY AWAY! Now that I have my dress in my hands I wanted to review pronovias NYC flagship. I had an AWFUL experience from the beginning in January when I went to pick out my dress. I found it at kleinfelds but hated the factory feeling the store had so I went to pronovias to purchase the dress from the designer. They stuck me in a corner, didn’t offer me or my bridal party anything to drink and served us warm champagne because we asked for it after I said “yes.” I wanted my dress ordered lined because it was sheer and they said no problem, I even called the store the next week to confirm. Dress came in sometime in the beginning of July and that’s when I had my first dress fitting. The dress came unlined so it was wrong and they told me it was too late to order another dress but they promised it was an easy fix. I scheduled my next fitting for a few weeks later and they call me 30 minutes before my fitting to tell me that they double booked me and I should reschedule. I was already in the city so I told them I would see another seamstress. I was expecting my dress to be lined and they did nothing except take up the length a little. They told me they couldn’t line until it was fitted which I understood and was told it would be done the next time I go in. A few weeks go by and I go to another fitting to find the dress still is not lined but they put white fabric over some of the boning in the bodice. I schedule yet another fitting (#4) 2 weeks later and the dress had no work done. I spoke to the director and he was very apologetic and told me he would take 10% off the alterations (which were $800). He said the dress would be done in a few weeks but I was adamant about coming in the following week. So I went a week later to my final fitting and the lining still was not done. I spoke with the other director this time and she said they would fix it for the next fitting but I sat in the lobby and wouldn’t leave until it was done and the dress was in my hands because I am getting married Friday. I sat in that lobby for 2 hours. They ended up refunding my alterations but the whole experience was horrible. Before I left they took the cups out of my dress and left the fabric sagging. I had to pay to take it to another seamstress to fix! I would not recommend anyone getting their dress from pronovias NYC. The entire lining of the dress that they added is shredded and looks awful. I reached out to customer service and they responded that they apologize for possible inconveniences but have fulfilled their obligations.
My experience at pronovias Manhattan was the best. My consultant was Alla and she was so helpful the entire time. I had gone to kleinfelds as well and I felt like I was in a factory. Alla was very attentive and answered all of my questions. She even texted me when she found a dress I was looking for that the store didn’t have. She went above and beyond. The whole experience was wonderful and I would recommend a bride go there for their dress!
I could have dealt with the fact that I had to go in five times for fittings, though it took hours each time to get there. I could have even dealt with the hours I waited once I got there for someone to bring my dress up for alterations (they were still working on the dress...)What I cannot even dream of ever getting over is the lack of communication from the front-of-house staff and managers. After having met the store director at a previous appointment (because of an issue with my dress) she did not even so much as glance in my direction. She could have been welcoming or reassuring, but instead she avoided eye contact and LEFT FOR THE DAY while there were still clients waiting for dresses to be FIXED. Meanwhile, the people who sit at the front desk can hear how agitated all of the customers are getting. The issues are obviously not their fault, but perhaps they could have come over and checked on us, gone downstairs more frequently for alterations updates, or maybe even offered to get us coffee?As I sat for five and a half hours, I saw at least one bride remove her dress from the store to be worked on elsewhere (because no work had been done since her previous appointment), two brides who had flown in from other countries who were also forced to wait for hours though they were on-time for their appointments, and multiple people unhappy with the work that was done (or not done, for that matter.) I think the alterations department is very talented, but overbooked. This isnt fair to them or to the brides.In the end, we were refunded our alterations fee, but this does not make up for the HORRIFIC experience. By this last visit, I had anxiety for days before my appointment, because I never knew what state my dress would be in. Though I was constantly reassured over the phone that I had plenty of time for these alterations, in the end we were really down to the wire because of this stores poor management.Pronovias Flagship - a busy wedding season should NOT have an affect on my personal dress experience. Having a company based in Barcelona is NOT an excuse for your poor store infrastructure in New York. An overbooked salon is NOT an excuse for poor customer service. You have been the only stressful part of my wedding experience.
Ciara and Evan were phenomenal! Coming in from out of town I confused my appt. with CST and EST and was late. The entire staff made sure that I still received the FULL time allotted and had all of the support I needed to find my dress. Ciara made my experience easy! She new my top choice and made sure I didnt waste time trying on anything that wasnt a contender. By far the least stressful appointment Ive had. Evan was immediately like the brother I never had! He made sure all of us high-strung ladies relaxed and enjoyed ourselves, truly making our experience enjoyable and full of laughs! Not only did I find my dream dress, but also 2 bridesmaid dresses and the MOB dress. What a successful trip! I cant wait to come back for my fitting!
SEAMSTRESS STREAKED BLOOD ON MY GOWN - READ ON:Please, Please, Please order a Pronovias dress but avoid the flagship location in midtown Manhattan. I was not one of the small, pushy, bridal boutique kind of brides. So, I found the huge, glamourous flagship store very attractive because they do tons of business and don’t push you into anything. I liked the big setting. But what happens with a big setting is that you get lost and this is what happened to me:Last fitting - I scheduled a month in advance and brought my whole family with me to “learn to tie the bustle and take the dress home.” All appointments scheduled way in advance. NO WORK HAD BEEN DONE ON THE DRESS. Nothing. I was forced to come back 1 week later right before my wedding. Extremely stressful.Coming back right before my wedding - NO WORK HAD BEEN DONE, AGAIN. Sat in waiting room for 45 minutes while manager falsely chatted me up. Seatmess arrived sweating and thanking me for giving her “more time.”After taking dress home - Opened the bag. Seamstress had pricked her finger and streaked BLOOD DOWN THE FRONT OF MY GOWN. 4 days before my wedding, forced to find out of town dry cleaners and pay 300 bill. Then noticed, garnet was SNAGGED on the lower part of the dress. Didn’t bother fixing it because blood was main concern. Total mess. Contacted store. All they did was apologize and pay for the dry cleaning.Contacted corporate after wedding - Asked for a full refund on dress because they RUINED the week before my wedding with stress and dry cleaning bills and drama. They absolutely refused to refund me (It was only 1700) and said they did enough paying the dry cleaning bill.So, get your Pronovias dress at one of the many NYC shops, not the flagship. TOTAL NIGHTMARE. I should be suing them, to be honest.
Ms. Maryse was such a sweetheart. She brought tears of joy to both my mother and myself. In the beginning of my fitting I was a little skeptical that dress would look nice and she assured me that it would look perfect by the final fitting. And that it was, absolutely perfect. Ms. Maryse definitely knows what shes talking about when shes making suggestions. Shes a doll. I recommend any future brides to work with her.
I had an amazing experience with Geannel !! Personalized and individualized attention that makes the entire experience very good. She understood exactly what I wanted, she let me have the time I needed to try each dress without making any rush, she was amazing !! The fitting rooms are comfortable and big enough .
My experience in the shop the first day was great.. i chose the dress i wanted and they placed an order for my size that would arrive on the 31 to the store and shipped to my place in NJ 2 days after so April 2nd which is before my travel day with 5 days and they assured me its going to be risk free. I called them March 30th n Samantha the sales rep assured me all is handled. A few days went by and i called them again April 2nd cuz i ddnt get an email with the shipment or tracking and they said theyd check the order status and call back which didnt happen until the next day! N when the manager called she still didnt have any feedback and said shell call in an hour which didnt happen and called 2 hours later. And when she did, she said there has been a delay in the gown and it will arrive on the 5th which is one day before my travel back home date and because of that delay she wouldnt be able to ship it and i have to go pick it uo myself. And thats what i did. I went all the way from NJ to their store in Manhattan. And to top it all, i was going through the order and looking at the veil and found that they delivered the wrong one! I asked for a single layered toe length veil and they delivered the double very long one. And the managers reply was maybe they didnt find it in stock so they sent this one instead! I was furious and theres nothing i or she can do cuz im flying the next day so she offered me either to discount it or i choose another one(which is rly not an option since it took me an hour the first time to choose this one) so i had to take it at a discounted price which is stil not a good enough compensation for ruining all this for me. My first visit was great and everything since then went downhill. I wouldnt recommend this place as a reliable/credible one. This is not a regular store, its a store about making dreams happen and a once in a lifetime exoerience they ruined mine.
After reading the reviews I considered canceling my appointment, but their dresses are so gorgeous I had to at least try for myself. My initial fitting this evening was on 11/13/18 at 5:00pm. Since I am plus sized when I made the appointment I made sure the store had dresses I could try on; I was told they would. I was only really able to try on two dresses, which I was fine with because I really liked the first dress I tried on . I had my sights set on the Drail gown for months ,but it wasn’t large enough for me to try on and I understood. After inquiring about timeframes to order the first dress I was told to order asap. Since I was alone at the fitting ( my sister cancelled last minute) I wanted to get a few opinions before I committed to the dress , I told the woman helping me ( I think her name was Theresa ) , that I would think about it and get back to them soon, she seemed to understand, until she told me “Why don’t you just go to David’s Bridal ? I found the proposition to be very rude and dismissive. Why would you send me to another bridal shop when there was still a possibility that I would buy a dress from Pronovias?? I guess I didn’t fit the mold of a woman who should wear their dresses, I’m not sure , but it pretty much turned me off completely... guess the reviews are accurate.
I took my daughter to many places shopping for her wedding gown & by far Pronovias has the most feminine & elegant gowns out there. Our experience with the flagship store was nothing short of perfect. We had started with Gina as our consultant & she was a pleasure to work with. She was patient & always helpful. We went to 13 other shops, none as helpful or as welcoming as the Pronovias flagship store. When we went the 3rd time we worked with Trianna. She was a complete pleasure to work with. She helped my daughter finally commit to the dress of her dreams. She was helpful and gave service with a smile. Then we went back and Gina helped her pick out the most beautiful veil I have ever seen & the price was reasonable, unlike the $2000.00 veils that Kleinfelds felt the need to push. They couldnt compare to the one we purchased at Pronovias for a fraction of the cost. When my daughter had a meltdown & second thoughts about the gown I reached out to Trianna who called to get the gown in sooner .She let my daughter try on her own gown & said if she wasnt happy we could try to rush order a different gown, mind you this is 2 months before her wedding. We went in when the gown came in early & Trianna & Gina worked with us for over 2 hours until my daughter felt comfortable with her choice of dresses. We went for the first fitting and they paired us with Nevina as our seamstress. She made that dress fit my daughter as if it was made with my daughter in mind. By her 3rd and last fitting my daughter was totally in love with the dress. My daughter wore her dress this past Saturday & everyone had the same reaction stunning. She was absolutely stunning. The dress was beautiful & the veil amazing. People couldnt believe how unique her dress was something they had never seen. It was very simple yet elegant.I don;t understand why anyone would knock this establishment. They went above and beyond to make my daughters dream dress a reality. Go to Pronovias you wont regret it the gowns are lovely & the staff is warm and inviting. They made the dress experience less stressful right to the end. If I had to do it again I would have taken her only to Pronovias. Thank you Trianna, Gina, Sara & Nevina. I was sad that our trips into the city to see our friends at the Pronovias flagship store would now end. That is how we felt at the end of our journey we had become friends with our team & they were the best. If you shop there ask for Trianna, Gina & Nevina they are a great team. Selina was absolutely amazing! I was not expecting to find a wedding dress so quickly, but after trying on a few styles, Selina came back with the perfect dress. The lace is exquisite and the dress is simply gorgeous, but Selina made the experience truly special. I am looking forward to returning to this store not only for my fitting, but to check out dresses for some pre-wedding events!
I was here a little over a month ago with my best friend who is getting married in January. I had high hopes, because even though I had heard such horrible things from my friends who work in the area (other bridal shops have heard the rumors about how horrible of a place it is to work), that HOPEFULLY we could still have a pleasant experience. I was horrified to learn that this place treated its workers in such a degrading manner. As soon as you stepped in, you could notice something was off. As we waited, you can notice that the girls in the front were Caucasian, the girls seen filtering through the back in what seemed to be the stock room were all of a darker complexion. Even the ladies who seemed to be in a managerial position had a different way of speaking to the girls of color, as they seemed to be talking down to them. Visiting from California, I could not believe what I was witnessing, especially because New York City is known to be the most culturally diverse of any city in the country. All the ladies working in the back, I am sorry that you are not given a chance. I am horrified by what this bridal shop is doing to its fellow New Yorkers. I have already notified several different bridal messaging boards about what I witnessed, and I hope that some change can be made. I will certainly will never be returning, and as a woman of color myself, I hope that the bridal industry can take steps towards stopping blatant racism in the workplace.Do better New York!!!PS- if this review gets deleted, it will just make my point even more clear. Your wedding nightmares come true. I started by loving Pronovias. My first appointment felt special and I found the dress that I fell in love with. My first fitting was awesome too. The woman fitting me made me feel special and took her time fitting me and made sure that I was happy with everything. The second appointment is where it all started going down hill. I felt rushed figuring out what I wanted up top. The first fitting was focused on the hemming on the bottom. The second appointment was focused on the bust. My tailor was busy and kept disappearing. We finally agreed on something but I wasn’t comfortable it would be good. She told me the third appointment would be final and I would take the dress with me. I asked about final fitting/changes and she said they would all be done at the final appt. well, i tried the dress on at the final fitting and the hemming from the first appt wasn’t even done so i would need to come the week of my wedding to pick it up instead of picking it up at my final appt. I worked with the tailor to set the pick up for Tuesday before the wedding at 3pm. They told me the dress would be waiting for me up front on the rack so i can just pick it up. I received a call from someone that weekend asking if I was coming for a fitting or just to pick it up. I told them I was just picking it up and confirmed the time and date. So Tuesday comes and I get stuck in traffic and show up at 3:45 (gridlock traffic day in the city since the UN is in session). My dress isn’t waiting for me. After waiting about 30 minutes the store manager comes to me and tells me it will be another 30 minutes to press the dress. She tells me that my tailor had it in her book that i was picking it up that day but someone put in their system that i was picking it Thursday. So I wait the 30 minutes and come back into the store. I ask for an update. They say it’s being pressed. I wait another 30 minutes and ask for an update. They say it’s being packed. I wait an hour. No update. I ended up leaving the store about 3 hours later. That is NOT a stress you need a few days before your wedding. Not happy.I would’ve preferred to have heard the truth when i showed up to the store. After waiting 30 minutes to talk to the store manager, she told me it would be 30 minutes to wait for the dress to be pressed. I would’ve preferred she told me that they messed up the date and it still needed full alterations so it will still take a few hours. Instead I waited around, got fed lies that it was being pressed or packed and had to still wait hours. Added stress you don’t need a couple days before your wedding.
As I searched for dress shops in NYC, an overwhelming amount of choices appeared. I narrowed my search a bit by looking at materials for one- Pronovias. Pronovias specializes in lace wedding dresses, which I love and want for our big day. I read the reviews on Yelp and Google, which arent all good, and was slightly worried. I kept my appointment anyways and went in with optimism and a huge smile on my face. Perhaps my attitude helped, but my experience was wonderful, engaging, and helpful. The lighting was dim, but the space was large and the selection was adequate.My helper, Katherine, was fabulous! She asked my price range (5k) and some styles I was thinking of. Its our theory that the store is set up based on price range. I was taken to the proper floor for the 5k and under dresses and set up in a large showroom.Katherine led me around the store while I chose dresses I liked from their rack selections. I didnt expect to be so involved so this was a very lovely surprise! Contrary to the reviews, Katherine was very warm and welcoming and insanely helpful. I tried on at least 10 dresses and spent nearly 2 hours in the store. My favorite dress was well under the price raneg I had given. This made me trust them quite a bit. Simply because I say I will spend 5k doesnt mean I want to spend 5k.I highly recommend Pronivias as a stop on your list. At no time did I feel pressured or rushed or that there was another client banging down the door. The store was quiet and calm and provided me with a level-headed approach to dress shopping.I went to another shop (famous for its TV show) and would have gladly bought my dress from Pronovias, had I not bought it from a personal dress maker instead. This store is fantastic and I cant recommend it enough.I wish I had kept better track of what I saw, but my two lasting favorites were Pladie ($2417) and Merry ($1197).
After going to six different stores in New York to search for my bridal gown I almost cancelled my appointment at Pronovias, since I was so tired of trying all those dresses. I am so glad I didnt. When I arrived at the store, I was greeted by my consultant Heloisa, who was Brazilian just like me, which made the whole experience a lot more pleasant since we could speak in portuguese, and I could explain her in details what I wanted. I told her about my style and what I was looking for, and she immediately perceived what I was looking for and what would fit my body better, bringing me so many gorgeous dresses it was hard to choose. On that exact day I found my wedding dress.In the fittings and adjustments I had two different seamstresses, Nevina and Julie, both wonderful ladies who went above and beyond to get my dress ready in time.I couldnt be happier with my choice and the Pronovias team.
Had a wonderful experience at Pronovias. Samantha was spot on with her choices, and her input was invaluable. I felt very comfortable and at ease going to Pronovias during the pandemic. The store followed all NYS and CDC guidelines, yet managed to make the experience very personal and warm. I would highly recommend Pronovias.
I had an incredible experience from start to finish (well almost finish!). Ive always wanted a Pronovias gown and Kristen White helped me find mine! She was beyond patient and knew my style immediately. She took the time to get to know me and make me and my family feel beyond comfortable. Shes a rockstar.Then I had my fitting with Grace who was an actual angel. I was so nervous trying on my dress having crazy bride doubts and such and she worked her magic and BAM! She knew the exact look I wanted and how I wanted the dress to fit. Watching her work was incredible, talk about patient and knowing what shes doing. We were laughing the whole time and it really just made my experience so special.During this time youre so nervous with planning and wanting everything to be perfect and trusting these two people came so easy!COME TO PRONOVIAS, You will walk away feeling so special. And I highly recommend Grace as your seamstress, she knows what she is doing and just a great person.
The dress selection process was a great experience; however, the seamstress department was terrible!! I had appointments and all of them were not honored- waited 20 mins or more. It was 3 days before my wedding and my dress was not tailored well at all. The tailoring experience made me very stressed to the point that the new promovías director Had to get involved to make sure that my dress was what I expected!
I had a great experience at Pronovias. Christiane was wonderful to work with. She was helpful, honest, and handled my opinionated entourage and my indecisiveness very well. I met with her again when I came back with my parents and she was very patient and accepting of my dad asking a million questions. She had a great balance of making the appointment about me and responding honestly to my questions. And she wasnt pushy at all. I really enjoyed my appointments!
If your looking for service and attention to detail I highly recommend you stay far away from this place. We visited Miami first my daughter asked them to shop a dress to Miami and they shipped two days late when she gave them a week to do it. Then we went to NYC she asked them to pull a couple of dresses to try on before her visit. We got there and they never pulled the dresses and the dress she wanted to try on they were looking for it and couldn’t find it. I can’t imagine how the dress fitting will be like. Very disappointing! I flew all the way from Florida and we walked out.
Ladies, PLEASE read this and save your time/energy. I wish I would have. I am not one to leave harsh reviews BUT I know what its like to be a bride and go through all the planning/work/emotions (some of which could be prevented). The designer itself is AMAZING. I LOVED my dress. I recommend you find a pronovias dress at a boutique but NOT the flagship store in NYC. I did 4 total fittings to finally go in the suppose last day of my fitting and take my dress home but have to deal with mean-ugly attitude from the staff. Apparently my 4th fitting wasnt suppose to be my last (this was 15 days prior to wedding day + I live in Maryland) although my mother, grandma and myself are all witnesses that we WERE told this would be our last fitting. The staff has poooor poor customer service. They basically argued with me that they never said that. Whenever I would try to call the store, front desk was rude and unhelpful. Ladies, please dont go through everything I did. I vouch for the dress; its beautiful! but not the flagship location. I wish you the most beautiful, helpful and smooth bridal dress experience. xoxo
Theyre eager for new customers, but once you buy the dress, the service is not good at all! I had a total of 4 fittings, and each time I went in, nothing had been altered or done... And I live in Dallas, so it wasnt easy getting to NY for so many fittings. Very frustrating. The dresses are beautiful, but its too much stress. If you want a pronovias dress, Id recommend buying from a different bridal salon.
I have been in love with Pronovias wedding dresses since I was in middle school. After I got engaged this fall I was so excited to receive information about a Pronovias trunk show in October. I immediately made an appointment during the trunk show week. Although the attendant I worked with was AWESOME and I did decide to buy my dress from the store, I cannot give more than 3 stars at this time because the trunk show was literally non-existent! The ONLY criteria for a trunk show is that you have the ENTIRE collection available to try on and they did NOT. I was super disappointed to have picked out certain dresses and then have my attendant tell me they were not available. It was just a waste of my time and energy to go out of my way to come in that particular week and although I am happy with my dress, it left a nasty taste in my mouth and I was really disappointed with this service.
Don’t waste your time or money here. The fact that most people strive to only marry once (aka no repeat customers for Pronovias...) fuels their terrible customer service. Given the pandemic, weddings are being rescheduled, indefinitely postponed, and flat out cancelled yet Pronovias refuses to work with their customers.
To all brides searching for their wedding dress -Do NOT waste your time at the Pronovias Flagship store in New York City - from start to finish my entire experience was disappointing and extremely underwhelming.I started my dress journey like all brides to be- confused by the vast terminology and unsure what style or fabric I would like best. I quickly learned that a lace top with crepe bottom in an A line fit was my dream, hence how I ended up obsessing over the Pronovias dresses - one in particular, Drenina.After trying many bridals shops in my area in hopes someone would have the Drenina, I learned that the dress isnt apart of Pronovias rental program, which left Pronovias Flagship in Manhattan as my only choice.When I contacted Pronoivas by phone they told me they did indeed have the Drenina at their NYC location. My mother, sister and I instantly changed our schedules and spent the money to make the trip from Virginia to NYC to their store in order to see the Drenina. I made an appointment and when completing the questionnaire I made it very clear that the Drenina was my #1 dress that I was most interested in trying on.Despite my efforts prior to my appointment, when I was I introduced to my personal adviser and shared my excitement to finally try on the Drenina, I was instantly told that they would have to check to see if they had this dress in their inventory. There was no acknowledgement of my requests for this particular dress nearly a month ahead of my appointment per the request of Pronovias themselves. At that moment I got a pit in my stomach, but when she came back she mentioned nothing about there being an issue. I proceeded to try on the first dress she had selected for me but it was nothing like the Drenina, so I asked to try on the Drenina and that is when I was informed it is at an off site location and not possible for me to try on today.As you can imagine, it was extremely upsetting and frustrating. I called in advance to confirm they had the dress and I communicated very clearly in my email that this was THE dress I had to try on. I understand it was not the advisers fault, but her not acknowledging or addressing the issue/offering some resolution to the fact that they did not have the dress from the beginning is unprofessional. She showed no empathy or desire to meet my, the clients, expectations. Plus she couldnt even provide similar alternatives for me to try on. It was horrible and I quickly wanted to leave the cold and unfriendly environment that Pronovias offered. It was a great disappointment and I would not recommend any bride to waste their time and money to travel to the flagship store in NYC in search of finding their wedding dress because despite their claim that they can and will, Pronovias cannot provide it for you.
Great experience with dress selection, which was very quickly ruined by their horrible alterations department. my dress was ruined, and even after having 6 fittings in total (the last one being 5 days before my wedding) they could not correct the damage they did! I had to bring it to my local seamstress and she could not believe her eyes! If you purchase a dress from here, do everything in your power to find a competent seamstress OUTSIDE of this store!
Jenna was my consultant and she was very good. As my ideas about what I liked changed throughout the appointment, she brought different dresses in that were very specific and exactly what I wanted. The dresses are also stunning, so can’t say anything bad there. Overall great experience, I would recommend this place, but more specifically I would recommend Jenna.
I had a great experience with Pronovias. My wedding will be on September 10th 2016 in Portugal and I started looking for the dress at the end of April 2016. It was in Pronovias that I found it! Jane was amazing in the first day. When I went to the first fit the lady was super nice and professional. After a few weeks I went there again for the 2nd fit (and last one) and it was really pretty and fit very well! On August 6th 2016 I brought the dress with me!My experience in Pronovias was simple, fast and professional!I really recommend the store!
Christiane is amazing! I went for a Friday afternoon appointment fell in love with a dress but had another appointment somewhere else the following day she knew I would be back for the dress and so she made me a 3:30 appointment for Saturday for when my other appointment had finished up long story short I was basically 30 - 40minutes late for my squeeze in appointment with her because of the traffic in the city but I knew that was my dress I would have started walking if I needed to lol and I was taken right away she brought us upstairs and I put my dress beautiful wedding dress back on the look on my families face was priceless.. I couldnt have dreamt of a better experience. I went with my mom dad and sister and it was just an intimate relaxing experience and christiane I cannot thank you enough for everything!!!! You are a wonderful honest knowledgeable beautiful person! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Have you ever felt your heart break and had to hold your tears back? That’s how I felt at Pronovias. I had made an appointment that was confirmed a week prior. I had provided my credit card marked my calendar and was ready to buy my dress. (I had already tried it on in Chicago, but wanted to buy here since I live here)I walked in 15 min early waited 5 min for someone to acknowledge me ... was told to sit and wait....I wasn’t welcomed or offered water or champagne like everyone else in the store... I looked around... found my dress and was anxiously awaiting help so I could try it on and be done! A few minutes later they finally told me that they had me down for a 10 am appointment (that I would never make because I work all day!) not the 5 pm that was confirmed to me on the phone. They were adamant they couldn’t help me that day and the manager was too busy on a conference call to speak with me.They were “kind enough” not to charge me a no show fee and all they could offer me was an appointment another day.It was an awful experience...i am officially traumatized and can’t believe how they didn’t even try to do anything for me.So now I am stuck searching for somewhere else to buy a dress.
The customer service at the NYC flagship store is so terrible that I am considering flying to Spain just so I can buy a Pronovias dress without having to deal with the less than professional customer service. Buying your wedding dress should be a positive and exciting time in your life, not something that leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth. I would strongly suggest avoiding this store.
Where do I begin. Sorry this is so long and detailed but weddings are a special occasion and I want brides to know what theyre getting in to at this store. Against my better judgement, I allowed my sister to get her dress from this store after my less than stellar experience 2 years ago (thats another story involving 2 hour long waits for scheduled appointments, terrible customer service by both front desk and tailors, and alterations that were never completed on time). For my sisters fitting, none of the brides alterations were actually completed and as usual, they blamed her because she changed her appointment to a week earlier than originally scheduled, albeit the SAME day she made the original appointment. As the maid of honor, I ALWAYS called a week in advance to confirm her appointment so there should have been no reason for her dress not to be ready. They should have taken responsibility for not letting the seamstress know about the change of appointment. One would think thats more of an automated process but we learned the hard way it is not. After waiting 45 minutes for the dress in the fitting room, the alterations manager was unapologetic and STILL continued to blame us for their mistake. Because of this snafu and constant limited availability of appointments, we tried to book her next two fittings but they have a unreasonable policy of not allowing brides to have more than one appointment on the books at a time. Unbeknownst to us, the seamstress working on the dress was not available at the next fitting and a different seamstress took care of us and had no idea what alterations had to be done and the bustle buttons were in the wrong place. The final fitting went relatively well. However, my mom also got her dress from this store and that proved to be a mistake. At what was supposed to be her final fitting, she did forget her bra and we went across the street to Victorias Secret to purchase the same exact bra she used for the initial fitting. The dress had these darts on the chest that the seamstress just could not get right. It was totally off and crooked and noticeable. They promised the dress would be ready by that Wednesday (2 days before the wedding). My mom showed up at 1030 and the dress still wasnt right. They must have done 4 rounds of alterations on the chest before they started blaming my mom for changing bras (mind you it was the same exact bra and also the one used to fit her the previous Saturday) instead of taking responsibility. After the 4th round that day, the alterations manager proceeds to tell her that the dress is defective and she might have to pick a new one. TWO DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING. She finally just took the dress as is after being there over 5 hours. They offered a small discount that wouldnt even cover her parking for the day. And as usual, were less than apologetic or professional. They blamed my mom and a defective dress. Finally, the day of the wedding my sister opens up the veil bag and its the WRONG veil. She called the store to let them know, and again they were unapologetic and blamed the bride for not double checking before leaving the store. She did check the style but it was pressed and in the bag so she did not take it out. They gave her the right style but the wrong length. No one offered to reconcile the issue at all and she had to wear the wrong veil on her wedding day. Overall, I would say this is a store that is unprofessional, unreasonable, and unapologetic. Mistakes happen but its how you reconcile these mistakes that matter. After two negative experiences here for my wedding and my sisters wedding, I would not recommend purchasing anything from this store.
Pronovias is terrible!!I had booked an appointment over a month in advance. Three days before my appointment they called to cancel. I had my bridesmaids from out of town coming with me. I called they store and took 2 days for a manager to call me back, only to tell me they couldnt accommodate me that weekend. This is very unprofessional and rude. Dont waste your time or money at this placed!!!
I am glad to be reading all these reviews. The negative ones seem to be legit, after reading the 4 and 5 star reviews you can easily tell that most of them(if not all) were posted by either the store workers or their acquaintances. What a shame. Such beautiful gowns, wonder why they cant just hire qualified people to work with brides to be. And why so many last minute cancellations? Sure I wont be shopping in there and I will make sure to spread the word and stay away from unprofessional places like this particular store.
Judgmental, cold, and rude would be the best three words to describe this store. They made me feel incredibly worthless because I like unusual styles. I had a list of at least eight Pronovias dresses I had found online that were gorgeous and would have been perfect for me, but I was told that they had none of these in the store. Period, end of conversation. When I asked if any could be ordered, I was told no. The saleswoman was unapologetic and dismissive, and had no interest in helping me find one of my dream dresses (which apparently only exist in cyberspace). What is the point of a flagship store if you cannot acquire any style that you like? I am so disgusted by the experience that I am quickly losing interest in dress shopping. Oh, they also take a credit card number so that they can charge you FIFTY DOLLARS if you miss your appointment - watch out for this place.

2022-07-27I wanted a very simple and very elegant gown, that covered my body, but fit it nicely. I found the PERFECT gown - except it had an open back!!GRACE was amazing!! She built up the entire back of my dress, gave it a perfect neckline, and there were buttons and loops all the way from top to bottom. It was the MOST perfect fit.The veil we chose was absolutely stunning - left my makeup artist speechless, and was the talk of the wedding even long after it ended!!THANK you Grace and Pronovias for your amazing work!!

Grace, the Head Seamstress, at Pronovias altered my dress herself and I cannot put into words what a pleasure she is! She was patient, listened to all my feedback, and immediately brought me dresses that matched my dream. It was my first time shopping for a wedding gown, and she understood my apprehensions with not wanting to buy a dress too quickly. She gave me her contact information and told me she would be in touch regarding the availability of my favorite dress. She was also extremely respectful of my budget, and did not try and convince me to spend more money than what I was comfortable with. I am very happy that I got to work with her! Thank you so much to Kimberly and the entire Pronovias team for such a smooth experience. :)

My sales consultant was Mollie Knee and she was awesome, she listened and understood exactly what I was looking for and was able to guide me without being pushy. I felt very well taken care of. The store was also beautiful -- I had been with a friend years ago at a nearby location, but they have since moved into a larger, gorgeous space. I highly recommend Pronovias! Beautiful dresses and mine was affordable and within my budget.

2021-12-29After visiting a number of bridal boutiques around the city I purchased my gown at Pronovias. My stylist, Samantha, was incredible and full of energy and support. I initially came in alone, as there were restrictions on travel, etc. The staff was really energetic and helpful in light of that. In the end, I selected a gown from Pronovias because its where I found the dress I loved the most.It took several months for my dress to come in, in part given COVID supply chain. But as soon as it was delivered I was scheduled for a fitting. I had a few in the end, and in the end the dress really was perfect. It fit like a glove and I was so happy when I was able to take it from the shop.

2022-01-17Though there was a slight bump at the beginning of my appointment regarding how soon my wedding date is, Alla and Theresa were so kind and helpful. I dont believe my experience finding my dream gown, that made me feel so beautiful and confident, would have been the same without them.On a personal note, I was so nervous to shop for wedding dresses since I am no size 0 (Im a size 10/12), I was blown away and relieved at how accepting, kind and invested they were through out the experience to make sure it was successful and memorable. 2022-06-21Giving this place three more stars after my initial review because the head of their alteration team, Grace, did an amazing job on my dress. Frankly, I was really anxious after the second alteration was rescheduled, and even thought about buying another dress. But Grace managed to finish the dress a few days before the pickup date. And the dress was gorgeous. I was on a diet and kept losing weight during that time, so I asked Grace to make the dress tighter in case I lost more weight. And I did. But the dress turned out to be a nice fit even after I lost 4 pounds.Original review:Horrible customer service. Waited for an hour for my first alteration and another hour for the second alteration. What’s even worse is that after an hour wait, they told me the dress is not ready, they need to reschedule. As soon as you pay the initial payment, they don’t care you any more nor your dress. So if you want your wedding dress to be on time, stay away from this place!!!!

2021-11-07I cannot say enough about how amazing my experience had been so far! I always knew I wanted to be a Pronovias bride & the NYC team made it happen. I not only found my dream dress but I found my dream jumpsuit as well! Samantha was my consultant and was absolutely amazing!! I highly recommend asking for her when you go. I must have shown her over 40 dresses that I was in love with & I was expecting not to see most of them (at the time the website said coming soon on the majority of the dresses I loved). I was so happy to hear that they did have them. Not only did she show me the dresses I loved but she also pulled things that she thought I would love as well. Her attention to detail is spot on. Pronovias was my first dress appointment and I left there with more then I could of ever hoped for. I felt like a queen all day after trying on dresses. Yesterday I had my fitting for my jumpsuit but I was also able to try on my dress!! We are postponing our big wedding but will be doing a small ceremony this year. The Pronovias team again went above and beyond with their service & making me feel absolutely beautiful. I cannot wait to go back in a few weeks for my 2ndfitting!Update: Everything went smoothly even with Covid. They kept my dress safe for over a year. The alterations process was a little stressful but everything was perfect. My dress came out beautifully! Thank you to the NYC team! I loved every minute of being a Pronovias bride.

2022-02-02I had an incredible experience at Pronovias! I was a Covid bride, and they were very kind and helpful throughout that process, and held the dress safely for me there. The alterations department was incredible. The woman who did my fittings was so sweet, kind and helpful. She was very patient with a nervous bride! My fittings went flawlessly, and they made me feel confident that every detail was important to them. They made me feel wonderful, and I purchased my veil through them as well! It is a beautiful store with gorgeous dresses, and I was able to make all appointments very easily.I wore the Ivania dress, and alterations made it even more beautiful by adding custom details I wanted. I highly recommend shopping for your dress here!

2022-04-28If I could give this place negative stars I would. Working with this location was the most stressful part of wedding planning.I bought my dress a year and a half before my wedding and they were supposed to get the dress into the New York store and send to the Austin store in January to start my first fitting. January comes, and I get an email invite on Sunday night to an appointment in the New York store Monday morning. I didn’t make that appointment and no longer live in New York. After weeks of trying to get a hold of the store someone finally says they will send the dress to Austin. A few more weeks go by and they still did not send the dress. I called about a hundred times and emailed. The voicemail is deactivated so that didn’t help. Finally I get a hold of someone else that says they will send the dress. I told them to check all the details before they sent, and they said everything was correct and they were sending out that day. This already put my fitting a month and a half behind schedule.The dress finally gets to the Austin store and it doesn’t look quite like I remembered. I keep saying something seems off, but everyone kept saying it was the lighting or it was in my head. I finally realize they sent the wrong color. Thankfully the Austin store manager finds me the correct color and over nights a new dress from Miami. Again we’re trying to get a hold of the New York store with no answer. The Austin store manager finally talks to the Austin store manager and tried to lie saying I came in in person and told them I wanted a different color.This new dress I got was supposed to be the same size but the fit is completely different. Thankfully it still fits, but is definitely not as comfortable as the first dress that was in the wrong color and is a little hard to breathe.This brand is inconsistent, and the management is a disaster. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.
