Angie the Manager was amazing. This was my first time renting a storage unit. I was going through a difficult situation, Angie was willing to help me by making sure she informed me about the different size options I had. Also she helped by giving me an educated advice on the unit size thought would be a better fit for me.
My experience with this public storage is not good. There are rodents on the premises. The doors of each units are poorly maintained.The rate at which the rent for the unit increases is so very random it boggles the mind.I was informed that public storage pro storage rate as long as u move out before the due date of each months rent. Now I am told I was given the wrong information. As if I made this up on my own.I would advice anyone looking to store your property that is import to you that you seek other storage facility. I am very disappointed with this storage.I would not use PUBLIC STORAGE again as an option. As a new customer they are welcoming ...but !!!BEWARE!!

Very happy with my experience at this location. I moved from West Babylon to Islip on top of selling my business and needed a climate controlled unit. Dawn was very helpful in picking out the right size unit. I will definitely recommend just because of their customer service. The guy next door offers a moving truck but its always out of service.
Angie and Brian are the sweetest people here at Public Storage. Every time I come in on a Saturday, these two go over and beyond for me. I am always treated with such excellent customer service that I feel like a queen there. If anyone is looking for storage I recommend going to the bay shore location and ask for Angie. Always so pleasant. I have been renting for a little over a year and I have to say for a storage place I have never felt so comfortable to leave me personal items at a place like this. I have been renting at this location for a very long time. I would like to say that I have been here through all the employees that have came and went at this location and I am very very impressed by Angie and Davids work here. A lot of things were happening on thus property that were not being taken care of. Since I have been working with Angie and David they have proven them selves as hard workers. The bathrooms and very clean, they put a paper towel machine in the customers bathroom. Its always clean and well supplied. The property it self is very clean and maintained. These two are very helpful and caring for the customers. David fixed my light bulb right away when I needed help. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs a storage unit. I have been storing at the facility for 8 months now. Any time I have a question or something else, Angie is always such a smiley up beat person. She always greets me when I walk into the office and knows my name. That is very impressive. If you need anything go see Angie she is very good at her job.
Im a returning customer and public storage has always been great. The customer service they provide is always above and beyond. The young girl in the office sandy was amazing, I have never experienced services like the one she provided. She really shows she cares about the customers needs. She made me feel like I knew her for years, very friendly and welcoming.
Angie is the best!! She is very suffiant and knowledgeable with what she does. Even though I had made a reservation,Angie knew what size I needed just by hearing my situation. Came into the office today to purchase some boxes since I’m moving soon. Angie and Brian were really helpful and understanding of the amount of boxes I needed for my move. After my purchase they were nice enough to efficiently put the boxes in my car. Deffently recommend this place for all your box needs.
I love the service that I receive at this location.Jasmaine is super friendly and very knowledgeable. She always greets me by name and ask about my day. She knows that when I come in with a stressed look on my face that I am in huge hurry and offers to assist me as much as possible. The property itself feels secure and I am very comfortable with housing my equipment there. There looks to be a few new faces, all of which seem to be following Jasmaines example in providing exceptional service.
My girlfriend an I currently rent at this property and were very happy with the service. The property is very clean, Abraham is very helpful and friendly . I have been renting here a long time an this is the best service I have received while being a customer here. I recommend this company for any of your storage plans.
Angie was very sweet with helping me replace my light bulb in my unit today. I told her I could do it my self and she went over and beyond making sure I had light in my unit. I came in with my mother to rent a unit the property was very clean. Samantha and Abraham were very helpful with getting us what we needed to store our furniture and clothes. They make a great team and both have great personalities that made us feel very comfortable with them.

I went in to buy just a few thing and the staff was very helpful! Abe and Samantha really paid attention to my needs and made sure I left with every thing I needed. I was shocked to hear that they do not make commission on their sales, but were still so attentive to what I needed. They were not trying to sell me a bunch of stuff just to make a sale, rather they went over my needs and assisted me accordingly. In addition to the great service, the quality of the packing supplies that I purchased is excellent. I would definitely recommend Public Storage to anyone.
Angie was extremely helpful during our check-in to our unit. We had missed our scheduled appointment and ended up showing up to check-in around 5:30, just 30 minutes before the office was to close. Angie took her time walking us through the unit itself as well as the details of the contract. It was clear that the process would go well past the office’s closing at 6:00pm, but Angie was in no rush. Once we were able to begin moving our belongings into our unit, we shattered a mirror in the process. We alerted Angie and she was there in a second to help us clean. Her assistance during our move-in was five star and made the process extremely convenient.
Angie is the best. She went above and beyond in a very complex situation involving multiple people with a potentially hostile situation. She handles herself professionally and makes Public Storage a better place. In addition, she is pleasant and honest and does what she says shes going to do. I have been coming in to pay my sisters unit for the past couple of months. Every time I come into this location, Angie always greets me by my name and I was amazed that she already had my account ready and knew who I am. That is such a pleasant feeling to be known by name. My sister always said Angie was so friendly and she is.
Ive used many Public Storage units before and at many locations all over the country. The service at this location is exceptional. The units are clean, the property well maintained, the location convenient on Long Island and the specials that are run make it economical. Danielle, the manager does a tremendous job with customer service and property management. Id highly recommend this facility.
I started storing my stuff in a unit about 14 months ago and its been a relatively good experience except for one thing: the price went from $158 to $211 over the course of that time frame. This is the first time Ive ever had to use a storage unit so this may be common practice, but it seems absolutely ridiculous to me. Ive been trying to get the light fixed in my unit since I got it and its never happened. Wont be using Public Storage again.
Came in and was showed an incredible amount of respect and mannerism . The young man’s name was Luigi and explained everything to me in detail and made sure I knew everything I had to know about a renting a storage unit. Def would recommend anyone I know to come to this location because when I left I felt Confident and secure with leaving my things here at public storage of Bayshore.

I am a business owner so I know that customer service is the foundation to great success. Well its been along time since I met a person like Cindy. People like her is rare to find and have apart of a team. Where do I start in saying how amazing! she is both professionally and personally. I say personally because it seemed like I have known her most of my life that is how she made me feel from the time I walked through the door and left. I didnt want to leave. she helped me shrink wrap my chairs when I didnt know where to begin. she made sure I was ok from move in to completion. I can say more but I will end here by saying how blessed you are to have her on your team. She is exceptionally and I am telling everyone who needs storage space to come see Cindy! Thank you!

STAY AWAY! We used this storage facility for 2 months and left with moldy possessions. We had to store our furniture and some boxes as we were between houses. When the movers began moving our items out of Public Storage, they said there was some mold on some of our things. When we were able to look more closely at our items, there was gross mold on our snack tables and laundry baskets (and who knows where else). Only after 2 months! This is disgusting. When I contacted the company, they said since our insurance wasnt through them (we have home owners) they couldnt do anything. How are they not responsible for their own facility? See gross pics below regarding damage and the inside of the storage unit after our possessions were removed. Shameful customer service!
I was storing things that I own in a shed of a house a friend once owned. Well I had to remove my belongings and needed a place to store them. So I looked online at Public Storage and reserved a unit. I had gone when I was called and Danielle showed me the unit as well as another one. She was very helpful in explaining things and showing the units. I was quite impressed.When I go in each month to pay, Danielle is so good with me and knows my unit number. She is terrific as well as the other workers.
We had a very pleasant experience at Public Storage Bay Shore (122 Saxon Avenue). We were assisted by Samantha during our reservation and check in and also when we check out, one month after.Samantha was very professional and cordial at the same time. Always smiling and patient, responded all our questions and walk us herself to the storage room.When we moved out, check out was quick and she demonstrated high efficiency and cordiality again. It seems, as we experienced the time I was at the office, people around herself appears to have same personality profile.I thank Samantha and coworkers for helping to go though a traumatic time -Mother downsizing after the loss of her husband of 60 years- in pleasant manner.

Wonderful help during a difficult transition. I had to move in a hurry due to extreme circumstances. I was limited on time and availability. Jasmine made accomplishing this task very easy. They store your stuff!**EDIT***They change the price with impunity..In less than a year the cost of our unit went up OVER $100.
I went to the Bay Shore branch and conducted my business with the manager Samantha. She was very informative polite patient effective and a pleasure to interact in this transitional time. This type of customer service make public storage a commodity.
After losing my home of 40 years and my mother within weeks of each other,the two gentlemen working their first Abraham and then Anthony have been a blessing to deal with pros like them. They are understanding of my situation and try and help however they can, be it just listening to me vent even if it has nothing to do with storage, or making suggestion on options when I needed a 2ed storage unit, looking into a possibility of a leak in one unit (was not but something we keep eye on). It make storing my things I have left my life easier and I know they are secure and in good hands. I just rented a unit and Cyndi was so great. She was so informative and helpful threw the whole process. I would definitely recommend public storage to my friends and colleagues. They should have more people like cyndi, she goes above and beyond for her customers. She cares which is had to find in companies this age in time.

Very frustrating when there is no light in your storage area. It is not that the bulb is burned out. Other people also have had the same darkness for at least the past three to four weeks because the problem is in the electrical line. I called the off-site regional manager three times who promised to have it repaired but to no avail. If you are looking for a storage area, I highly recommend that Public Storage should be taken off your list. Management is unreliable, rude, and unresponsive to their customers.
Abraham the manager of this public storage facility provided me with amazing customer service and he and his staff were also very friendly. If you are looking for a storage facility that has a courteous staff and is very affordable, I would recommend public storage in Bayshore New York. I had an awesome experience.

Been here for 2 years now as I am still in transition with my move from PA back to NY. The first year it was around $145 for the unit my fiance and I selected. Now, without warning for the 2nd time they are raising the rate. When you are dealing with something like this and need to move things out if you no longer want to stay I think 2 weeks notice is very short. The owner is basically extorting the tenants doing it now especially during christmas time with such little notice. Done intentionally? Of course it is, otherwise theyd send it out in October to give the customer ample time to make other arrangements.
Im thoroughly impressed by the staff. Abe and Sam handle the property very well. Better then any other staff before. and they know each of their customers on a first name basis My family have been renting here for years and ever since Abe has become the main manager they feel that although some crazy things happen on the property he is there to help out at all times. You can tell that they care. And they always get us great sales on boxes that actually protect my stuff. If you want to goto a property where you are actually taken care of then this is where you want to go. Highly recommend them. Yea its annoying that they lock the carts up but its smart because then I actually can use a cart instead of have them all missing...but neways very thankful for the staff

I was VERY pleased and surprised at the Excellent service and attention that was given to my move. The young lady (CARISSA) was SUPER POLITE and very knowledgeable of all the particulars with my move. EVERYTHING went BETTER than I had hoped for. She is a PRIZE of a person in this world.
Gina was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions. Units were clean. The only reason this isnt a 5 star rating is the lighting in the building. It seems a little dim. Only need the unit for a couple of months so it will be okay.

I have just gotten my 1st storage space, and the staff at Public Storage made it the easiest experience. Abe really took the time to explain the different packages, and helped me pick the right one for me. This company ruined our furniture. We moved most of our furniture to VA but left some in storage so when we came back to furnish our apartment we would have furniture. They are blaming us for the mold and spores covering our furniture while its their facility that had water seeping into the units and growing bacteria. Our clean furniture is now all in the garbage because we can live around items covered in mold. They have not been helpful or courteous, they blamed us for their mistake. THe professional movers wrapped all our clean furniture and transported it on a bright, warm and sunny day. So their claim that it was raining is wrong. Theyre full of lies and wont help a paying customer. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR ITEMS HERE!
I cannot believe how out of order the numbers are in this facility!!! We actually got lost in here. Unbelievable! Totally embarrassing and a waste of time. I could not believe it. After getting lost I started noticing how much it looked like a jail. I only chose this place because it was nearby and offered a promo.

I recently closed my account with the guys in the bayshore location Ludgi and Brian over there have been helpful with me by answering my questions in great detail and just all around great people. If I need to storage again I know the guys who i’m coming too and will definitely recommend it to my buddies back in my area that public storage never disappoints.

Let’s start off by saying this is the worst storage unit I’ve ever used. I used to store at cubesmart and the customer service there is top notch. I moved in to public storage because I needed a bigger unit and cubesmart didn’t have one available . That’s the ONLY reason I moved into public storage.I moved in May of 2017, and by August 2017 I received a letter in the mail saying my rent was increasing, ARE THEY SERIOUS? When I stored at cubesmart the rent increased in small nominal amounts and they usually dropped it to my original rate anyway when I said something.Finally I go to leave public storage and I didn’t have a lot of time to move, I asked if I can stay a few hours after they closed to take the last of my stuff out and they said they would be charging me another months rent. When I said I won’t be paying a full months rent because I won’t be using the unit after October 31st the property manager threatened me and said that she would put me in collections if I refused to pay.I recommend to anyone who’s considering using public storage to reconsider and go with a company who cares about their customers and respects them. I certainly would give zero stars if that was possible.
I like to rent storage units for my collections of oddities. My problem was that any units i rented with other companies always seemed to have break ins. I decided to come to PS for a safe place to keep my things and i was so pleased with how helpful and profession Abraham was.The only question that remains is, who would want shrunken heads and fairy dust anyway!!!?! Well with that being said, i would recommend Public Storage to anyone who has a need for storage! Call and ask to speak with Abraham, obtaining storage can be a pain in the arse, but Abraham makes it completly painless as well as a great experience.Five Stars is really for Abraham! I wish my son was more like him, a nice warm personality as well as industry expertise!
Came to location to purchase some boxes for a move next week. The gentlemen around the counter Brian made sure I had what need. I was than curious about storage since I may or may not need. He gave me great detail and information and what size I would need if it comes down to it.

I was just in there to pay my bill. Which I was happy that I could pay at any location so I was not late. But there is no air condiontion at this place and the poor girl there her face is all red. It is high 80 degrees in the office and this woman had a air condioner on the floor and a fan behind her and to me felt like it was not working. How can anyone let youre workers work in this conditions. This is a health issue. The woman said she would be ok and has plenty of water bottles. I can not believe what I am seeing.

We have had a unit there for almost two years and I have not seen such lazy incompetence in my whole life!!! The security gate was open for 3-4 months without repair, theres constantly cat poop everywhere and the staff just sits in the office texting or making personal phone calls, there have been units in bad need of repair (ie the one next to us for the past year has had the panel above the door pushed in without repair) and when our door needed repair (and still does) a month and a half ago there excuse was this is corporate so they take forever and usually dont care....we already made our reservations for a different storage complex that is NOT Public Storage!!!
I would like to say that Dawn that work in Bayshore was the best she helped me in everything that I needed she is so very kind and I was so grateful to have such a kind and understanding person like her I wish everyone was like her I would recommend anybody that need a unit talk to her I love Public Storage in Bayshore I have been with them for 12yrs and I would b here for 12 more thank u again.

I come here every month to pay for my elderly mothers unit up in Florida, Jasmine always greets with a smile and has a great personality. Theyll take care of you here and you might even get a joke or two!

Never again use this place, my property was in a indoor climate control unit for 2 months and had fungus and mold on it. I paid insurance and the insurance company could not reimburse me for the damaged furniture. Im very disappointed in this company and will never use this public storage again.

I was very disappointed when I learned that the price that we agreed on in August 2016 went up by 10% beginning January 2017. When I called for an explanation, I was told that they could raise their price anytime they want. They would not negotiate back to what we agreed. Be careful.

Great service been there a few yearsand Abraham gives you personal time to answer all questions etc. with professional attention
They lock up the moving equipment so if an employee isnt present you can not access them so for example if you work all day till 7pm at night you will never be able to use them even tho theyre open till 9.

2020-10-09This facility was clean and well maintained but more importantly was the service aspect. The assistance rendered by Patrick was outstanding. The requirements were packing materials (boxes, box sets, tape, quilts, pouches, dividers, rope, etc) and Patrick advised & guided me through the inventory that was required to pack up a 5-bedroom house effectively. Also seeking adequate storage space, he could not have been more helpful, even showing me the space to get a better idea of the size. I would not hesitate to recommend the Public Storage Bay Shore facility to my friends and family.Only suggestion would be an automated plastic wrapping machine (like the machines at airports to protect & wrap your luggage from the elements) on-site that would plastic- wrap medium-to-large items for the customers instead of having to do it manually.Thank you.Raymond B.

2021-03-28In less than a year the unit grew mold on all of my belongings, chair, sofa, boxes etc. I was inside ground level on what was supposedly suppose to be “climate controlled”. Instead of offering a new unit that wouldn’t grow mold, I was told to go through insurance for my belongings. Also, the price increased from $220 from the start to $300. For what? Nothing changed in that time? Very disappointed. Highly do not recommend.

2018-11-11Angie helped my father and I with picking the correct size unit for us and made it all easy! She was absolutely phenomenal and very personable. We werent in there for more than 15 minutes and there were no issues at all. We really appreciated her helping us out with a big smile the whole time!
