This place is extremely poorly run - stay away and save yourself a headache.This photo is of a unit marketed as 5 feet wide but actually measured at less than 4 (43 inches to be exact). When asked, the front desk clerk shrugged and said The reason those units are cheap is that they might not be as big as they say they are.Of course, that unit was the last one, so we felt bait-and-switched into getting a bigger unit rather than pay for a unit that was
Original rating: 3 stars : Pricey and access only available during office hoursFrankly, I am quite pleasantly surprised at the level of customer service I received after my initial rating.Within days, a regional manager called me and had a conversation with me about my concerns. Whilst not able to change the availability hours for me personally, he did offer an adjustment to my rental agreement. I did not expect this quick response, level of concern or customer service from Public Service. Bravo 👏. Thank you for changing my outlook.
I have been coming here for a couple of years now. Place is always clean and the staff is very nice.Everyone here is dope. Jonathan specifically. He is super helpful, nice, and just a good dude to be around. I hope he is an area director cause other stores should follow his guidance.The only things that sucks about this facility are operating hours and the price of your unit slowly skyrockets year to year.But, overall I’m not leaving.Thanks Jonathan!

We had a terrific experience with this facility. We stored the bulk of our household items in the climate-controlled portion of the building and just picked up our stuff this week. Everything was in excellent condition; clean, dry, and secure. The people who work at this company are very pleasant -- a particular shout-out to the cheerful front desk staff, Ofir and Lady, for their assistance. If you need good long-term storage, we highly recommend this place.
I needed to get a storage room asap and public storage was the closest to me as i had to leave the country. I found this place convenient and easy to deal with. I went I online, purchased a unit and received all the info I needed. The lady N ofir were very helpful with showing me around and giving me information. Definitely recommend this location.

Moved my things in yesterday, 10/4, and the gentleman (I believe it was the manager?) was so incredibly kind, patient, and professional. I greatly appreciated his compassion. The facility and my unit was clean.Im giving this specific location 5 stars for the quality of care I received by this staff member.Id like to give the /company/ 3.5 stars for very difficult-to-operate rolling ladders that do not have a landing at the top to rest boxes if they are heavy and difficult to maneuver, and for only having reasonably priced storage units with inconvenient placements (exceptionally high up) I would consider using this company again in the future, but will try to figure out budgeting for not having a storage unit that isnt raised 15 from the ground.

The staff is always helpful and courteous. Jonathan was extremely helpful during my move from a smaller unit into a larger one, and helped to make the move-out move-in transition as seamless as possible. Matt, the District manager, is also very kind and all-around I would recommend this location for meeting your storage needs.

I was taken care of by a lady by the name of Mrs. Ofir who was probably the most Cordial individual i have encountered during my years. She was very helpfull and was more than willing to help me with any questions regarding my brief but very pleasant vist in this Pubic Storage. I really wish all all places had someone so nice and helpful wich allowed me to want to more than recommend this location to any person who may need a place to store their items. I reserved a space with Public Storage a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, the unit was no longer available when I showed up to sign the paperwork. However, Ofin and Lady were more than accommodating and found me another space that was better than the original one I had. Very happy with the service and patience of their staff! Will use in the future!

Both Lilly and Lady were absolutely amazing! As a first time storage user (and perfectionist to a fault), I had many, many questions and concerns.To my pleasant surprise, both Lilly and Lady did so much more than simply addressing every single one of them: they actually put me at ease.I cant imagine a more customer friendly and pleasant experience!
I came here on Labor Day weekend to find storage and found they had amazing deals. Was helped by Lilly, a manager there, who was very nice and very helpful when it came to picking out the unit I wanted. Have been using the facility now for about a month and have to say Ive had no problems. Everything has been great.
My aunt rented a unit a few weeks ago with Miriam and she was just great. She was very patient and helpful with my aunt and also very informative. Every time we come in the ladies are also so nice and smiling. Dee and lady are also great as well. the store is always very clean,I will definitely refer this place to anyone !

I have been to few storage locations, but this location was not totally build for customers convenience. I felt like the metal stairs was very short. which made me feel unsafe every time I had to use it. It was not easy to find a folding hand truck and wish the hours was extended 1 or 2 hours. But i liked the rates and the lady in front desk was helpful.
This location is just plain awesome. They take all the guess work out in helping you make the right choice in storage size. They dont try to up-sell you and just give you what you need. It is so refreshing to have people that are just honest and helpful. The ladies at the counter are just the best. The knowledge, experience and customer support they give is second to none.I rarely write reviews, but I needed to write this one. It is just so refreshing to come across people that know what they are doing, and love what they are doing. This is the place to store and protect your things. They are the BEST! Thank you ladies.
I came by this Public storage location to inquire prices and to see the different sizes of units. The Manager Leydi was so pleasant and very knowledgeable. All my questions were answered and I left very satisfied. Thank you Leydi for being so helpful and showing me the unit that works best for me.

The employees at this location are great. They are very helpful and clarify any confusion if need be. This my first time renting a storage space and it was a really good experience. I was helped by Lady and she was great. Only thing I can say that I disagree with is that online when you reserve the space before move in day, it doesnt tell you about all the extra expenses like for the lock, keys, and insurance. In my opinion they should show it so that the person can know how much they are going to spend before hand.
The worker by the name lady help me & my wife pick out a different unit other than the one we wanted she showed us about 4 different unit and help us get a better price then online if u need assistance ask for her shes very helpful

I went to the public storage located by the BQE today and it is a great place. It has plenty of different sizes storage at a very accessible price. All the space is very clean and organized.I defenitely recommend this public storage location, it has cheaper prices than other locations.Cheers on for Ofir, the lady that helped my mom and I at the front desk. She was very kind, helpful, patient and knowledgeable. She helped us to find the proper space and gave us a detailed explanation of all the necessary details.THANKS SO MUCH OFIR! KEEP IT UP!
After going through all the Public Storage stores in the neighborhood, this was the cleanest, most convenient and... Most expensive... The staff (Sam) was very good, excellent! The place is clean, bright, and the size of the bin was a true 10X10, unlike others that were approximately.
Lilly was phenomenal. This is my first time utilizing a storage unit and she assisted with easing my anxiety. She was knowledgeable, kind, and patient. I definitely would recommend public storage to anyone who asks.
My mom rented a unit last week and she doesn’t know any English and hector and Miriam were so helpful. They explained everything to her perfectly and they took their time with her. She saw a few rooms and rented one and she left out very happy, not only because of the space she got but because she loved the customer service she received. The building was also very clean. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Thumbs Up !
We actually were supposed to rent at Uhaul storage down the street as we just moved into the area and the customer service was horrible and gave us no attention. We were leaving and actually went the wrong way and saw Public Storage so we decided to give them a try. Lady helped us book an online reservation and was very helpful. Since then we can always count on her to help us with information or letting us know when our bill is due every month as sometimes things slip our mind. Thank You Lady for all that you do.
I recently rented a storage unit here and I must say that Lady was very professional and informative. She helped me find the correct size unit and expedited it as I was sort of in a rush and was not in the best of moods. But she was very understanding and helped me rent and get to my appointment on time. Sorry for being such an awful customer, but thank you for being so understanding.
Every time I enter this building, the service is amazing. Today in particular. I had to transfer my unit because I was scaling down. Lady and Jenny were perfect to me. They smiled and took care of it immediately as well as checking on me to see if I had successfully completed the process. These two should be teaching the rest of the staff or any new people exactly how to do it!!! Thank you so very much. This is how it should be...!!!
The staff is always willing to help and always really to do anything they can to get you the experince that you need. Lady and Ophilia are always on top of thier game and are always nice. This Public Storage location is huge, clean, and has plenty of space to park when storing your items.Jenny was the manager who worked with us and gave outstanding customer service. She was very thorough in helping us get the right unit, and was able to quickly get all of our paperwork in order to make sure we could start storing right away! I would highly recommend this location!
This place is great. Friendly staff and safe location if not somewhat isolated. I was able to store my stuff for 5 months and paid monthly. Never had a problem with them and was able to get to my storage unit every time. The only thing I will say is their business hours are somewhat difficult for someone working a 9-5 job. Other than that, they are superb.
Literally am shocked at how great the service is here. I worked with Lady and Ofir and both were excellent and helpful. As a younger woman I am also reassured to see female employees and felt safe here as storage facilities are not always this way.
My wife and I needed a storage to store our belongins, we were doing our research and we decided to rent it at Public Storage, it was the best decision! The customer service is amazing, we were attended by two very friendly girls, their names are OFIR and LADY, it was our first time renting a storage and we had a lot of questions, they explained everything very well and clarified all our doubts, they showed us the space and gave us options that adapted to our needs, I highly recommend this place, it is at the Woodside location.
I have used self storage a few times in the past. This time I did some research and landed on Public Storage. I went over to check it out and Jenny, cheerful and upbeat, showed me a couple of options. The property was clean and had an nice feel to it. That afternoon I made an on-line reservation, which Jenny followed up with a phone call and I went in today, Saturday, and finalized the rental. Very satisfied.
The customer service here was wonderful. Dazni explained everything thoroughly to me in a way that was easy to understand. This property was well kept and clean. The girls Osiris and Octavia were very friendly as well. Osiris even the held the door open for me since I had bags, and they all wished me a great day. Will definitely recommend this location 👍🏾.
This facility is affordable and clean which is difficult to find in New York. But their customer service really sets them apart. Cassandra was a doll, so helpful and genuine. I also called twice during the week to confirm my reservation, I talked to 2 different women and I didnt get their names but they were both very kind as well. I got this storage at a better price with more space than my old storage. This location has a loading dock which is convenient. The customer service rep, Ofir, was prompt, helpful and friendly.
Lady and Ofir, who work at the office here went above and beyond to help me package some artwork. I don’t know how I would have done it myself-gettinf a massive painting wrapped and packed, if they hadn’t been so generous with their time and helped me so thouroughly. I am very satisfied with the customer service experience. I was immediately helped once the cab pulled up. They unloaded my belongings and quickly got the storage unit I desired. Even after my services was met. The hung around and helped me find a room for rent. I am very grateful for the hospitality shown by these amazing ppl who work here. Plus there a really cute girl that works upfront that I would love to get to know. I was having a terrible day until I arrived here. Thank god I met these nice ppl

Was looking to move my toolbox into storage. My public employee was named Lady and was incredibly helpful. She toured me through the entire facility to see if any of their available units would work for me. She then referred me to a nearby public storage facility that was able to handle what i needed. Gisell was amazing and got me set up in a few minutes. Really want to thank Lady for going above and beyond to make sure i was taken care of. Public storage will be my go to in the future.

The process to rent a unit was quick and the staff did an excellent job of explaining the options and the polices of the facility. The unit is reasonably priced for its size. Very tall ceilings. The staff is so incredibly nice that I wonder if I left NYC when I go there. Everyone I have interacted with has been knowledgeable, professional, and helpful (Dee, Myriam, Ivanna, and others too). The move in was easy and quick and the unit is on the ground floor...no stairs and no elevators and you can park right by entrance. 5 star service for certain!

I had a 930 appointment on Sunday 4/10 and let me tell you Cassandra was awesome. She helped me out with everything, from the storage unit to the packing supplies. She is very professional and a pleasure to deal with.Awesome Staff makes this an awesome place.
Came into this place after many places giving hard time. This young named Phil That was working the front desk just made the whole experience a smooth easy and pleasurable one. STAY AWAY!!!This corporation is quick to take your cash but refuses to spend money when it comes to the basic needs of their customers.The carrying carts are too large to navigate through the narrow hallways. They are badly designed, and the wheels often jam. On our last visit there were no carts in front of the building, and we were told to find one around the back. However, there was no ramp to push the heavy cart up to the storage level. When asking for help at the front desk, the clerk said we should carry it up the stairs ourselves. After a lot of complaining, we were finally helped.The light sensors are often faulty and only turn on when you’ve walked to the middle of the dark hallway. They then turn off quickly, making it difficult to see. When we spoke to the front desk, we were told that the sensors were working, and we were supposed to walk in the dark before the lights turned on.When we first moved our belongings to this storage space, our unit had no light. We were told that a light fixture would be set up. This never happened. The only way we were able to see what was in our unit was to take our things into the hallway. Then after a few minutes, we had to run several feet, waving our arms in the air to turn the lights back on. I called Matthew Algiere, District Manager of Long Island City to complain. He said we should bring our own lights and there’s nothing he could do. I then called the Senior District Manager, Caitlin Womble who questioned my integrity and stated that no one would’ve told us that a light fixture would be placed in our unit and there was nothing she could do.There were no restrooms open to the public due to Covid 19. We had to drive to the nearest gas station to use the bathroom. I asked why the restrooms could not be sanitized so customers could have access. I was told that this was company policy.After several challenging visits to our unit, I asked Caitlyn Womble to consider giving us a lower rate for unacceptable treatment. Her response was a flat NO. I am sad we moved from our old storage facility. But we will be moving our stuff very shortly from Public Storage who don’t give a dam. My only concern is that they will damage our things before we move. I do hope this will not happen.
I had one and two units there for 14 years, both 5x10. Mostly very attentive service. A young lady in this last year there named, Ofir, was incredibly helpful and worthy of acknowledgement.
GREAT experience ! Front desk workers are always phenomenal, especially one Domisah Purnell. She was so helpful I requested her name to make sure I let it be known how great her customer service was. Environment is clean, professional workers, overall awesome experience. Definitely recommending this to friends, family, & hoarders alike ! Lol

We needed to rent a space quickly due to pending health care issues and that our stuff was arriving from Florida in just a few weeks. It was closing time when my wife and I showed up. The staff did not hesitate to help us. We needed a large unit, they had one, they showed it to us, we rented it and were back out the door in about 45 minutes. Which was 45 minutes after the posted closing time. I will recommend this place to all who ask. Nicely done. Not once did we feel like we were being hurried either.

2nd time leasing a unit here and just had to post a review in light of their excellent service. Dee was very precise and concise in regards to the initial set-up and finale. I really loved my experience, and I especially appreciate the staff. In particular, a young woman named Thairiny Monteiro was extremely helpful. I didnt know much about the way the storage worked, and explained everything in such a concise manner. She was extremely nice, and if the other staff is half as genuine as her, Id say they got a pretty good with them. I will definitely be returning to this store.

Berenice was very helpful and gave me all the information about the rooms and the prices. I will be renting a storage space very soon. They are convenient and very friendly.

Ive never stored anything in my life, and Im glad it went smoothly. Public storage had an extremely cheap offer for storage and it wasnt a scam. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted with smiles from Bernice and Devin. They were professional and warm, the way a landlord should be. Bernice explained everything I needed to know in detail. My quarters were perfect for what I needed just as the representative had explained over the phone. I was quite pleased with the experience.
It was overall a great and easy move in compared to other places Ive used. The staff was genuinely helpful, Ms. Thai was the associate who helped me with fimdinvnthe right unit for my needs, with no upsell pressure. Also I had booked my unit online and they accepted the rate hassle free. Overall all of the staff have been helpful whenever Ive been in. The units are clean and safe. Access is good.

Ever since I became a client for public storage Myriam has provided me with exceptional service . She has a full knowledge of what to look for and fill the clients needs. I went into the facility today and there were two people in line in front of me, and i was beyond satisfied with how Darnicia work ethics are and how fast and friendly she assisted customers. I come here often and the whole safe works. Great experience with the facility and the associate

I had very nice experience from the time I enter the office and till I got out. Thairiny and Latoya were so nice and helpful. I got so much stuff with me, which was so heavy and I was so nervous taking all those stuff right from the entrance to my locker. But these two sweet ladies helped me to take the stuff inside in the office and also they helped me to take my things to the locker. They also helped me while I was using ladder to take my heavy stuff up there in the locker room. I really love the way they took care of me.

This location is a good location, its hard to find if your not familiar with the streets. The employees are nice they can and will help you. The best thing to do before purchasing a space is going into he location and looking at the sizes first. The only thing is the bathroom is always having an issue. I dont recommend taking a space close to the restroom. When you go in make sure you ask for Thai & Dee, these young ladies are the best. Thanks Dee for waiting for us to finish unload!!!!! These two ladies are the reason why I took the space.

Last week I went shopping for storage units. Wasnt sure what size I needed or how these things work so I was a bit scared going in. My boyfriend and I go to Public Storage first since it is near my house. We go in and are pleasantly greeted by Dee. We tell her what were looking for and she takes us up to the second floor and she nailed it!!!! 2 thumbs up and a gold star this young lady knows her stuff. She was sweet, pleasant and extremely knowledgeable of her job.When I went back the following week to make my payment and pick up some boxes once again Dee was there and greeted me as I walked in. Staff is Great! Was greeted right away. Shivonne was very nice and helpful. Darnicia and Lady also spoke to me while doing the lease. Very helpful staff! Location is hard to find but the customer service you receive is top service.

The staff are friendly, courteous and patient when I could not figure out anything with my unit or loading and unloading. They are also detailed when giving account information. I always felt welcome. The lobby is bright and the units were clean.

I visited location today for a 2nd storage locker, I have been renting at this place around 10 years and have received great service throughout the time I have been there. I was helped by Lady and Marcos in getting a storage close to the one I already have. If you need a storage do stop at this Public storage.
We Just Moved here to Astoria from Rhode Island and Have a a 5 Bedroom House Full of Stuff. For now until we buy a new house we needed a storage space as we now have a 1 bedroom apt. So we came into the store and was Happily greeted by Lady. Now Ive heard some Horror stories about storing things in a storage Unit but Leydi was very instrumental, in our finding the perfect storage unit for us. We were actually going to get something much bigger than we actually needed and she showed us the perfect unit for us. She also helped us with some storage supplies that we didnt think we needed but after accessing the situation we found that we actually did need it. Thanks so Much for making our Move Much easier than we thought and for being very attentive to our needs rather than a bottom line. If you come to this Public Storage Ask for Lady. She is the BEST!!

Climate control. Decent price for area. Entrance only from a one-way roadway that is frequently backed-up with traffic. Absolutely ridiculous methodology of retrieving carts from front office ramp and cycling through the elevator from rear entrance to your storage level. I was additionally provided on-site proof from another customer that this location advertised inaccurate measurements of their unit. Friendly service at the front desk.
The young lady I think her name was domissa. I hope I didnt butcher her name. But she was amazinggggg she answered all my questions she walked me through everything she was so patient and kind to me and my husband. The prime example of good customer service!!! :)
Ive been a Public Storage customer at the location on Market Street in Upper Darby, PA for a little bit under 2 years now however I reside not to far from the location on the BQE I recently came in to get some information on how I would go about doing a transfer if I wanted to move from the facility in PA to this location because I dont really get the chance to go to my current unit due to the distance and my work schedule. When I came in I was greeted from the moment I walked in the door and the 2 guys that were there were very helpful with providing me with the information that I needed. They even went as far as to showing me a few spaces even though I wasnt sure when and if I would be moving. Definitley considering making the move to this location. Not only is the location very clean and the customer service is great. They also have longer hours which work perfectly around my work schedule.
Orif was very courteous and helpful with helping me find the right size storage unit. Also, location was pretty clean.
I got helped by ofri . She showed me the unit that I reserved but did not work for me, she recommended to me other size and she ended renting to me a bigger unit with an amazing price. Cant be more happy with the service !

The property manager, Leydi, went above and beyond with helping my mother transfer her belongings from the Public Storage facility in Miller Place to the Woodside location. When my mother informed Leydi that she was having a hard time getting the information she needed from the Miller Place location to facilitate the move (if/when they answered the phone), Leydi took it upon herself to contact them on my mothers behalf, and a short time later had answers to all of my mothers questions. She then initiated the new rental at the Woodside location, and had us work with Dee to complete the paperwork. Dee was courteous and professional, and we were finished in a matter of minutes. I highly recommend this facility for your storage needs.

My wife rented at Public storage recently. She was greeted right away by Shivonne and Leydi with a warm welcoming. My wife accidentally selected a locker without knowing the size and realized we needed a bigger unit. I picked this site for its close proximity to my home. I needed some extra space since I just moved into a smaller apt. I asked to see the two smallest unit since I didnt have many items. The girl helped me find a locker that was at a great price. I would recommend this location to my friends & family.

I rented a unit on Sunday and was attended by a nice young girl name Keikei. Fortunately she fixed the error that had been made by a former employee. She explain everything professionally, politely and step by step. I was very unhappy going there but leaving I felt I was in good hands. Public storage should have more employees like Keikei very intelligent young lady. When you work with the public you should know your job and if you dont know prices or sizes of the units as an employee it is always good to ask question so you can learn your job better. Good employees make a good business.

It may be near a highway and you may struggle just a bit to find your way to this facility but if you are taking cared by Matthew then you are in good hands! He is great in making sure that you leave out that door knowing that your belongings are safe and stored. I only recommend this place because of Matthew but the units here can be very pricey

Today I stepped into public storage I was greeted with great big smile. Darnicia is very pleasant young lady with outstanding customer sevice. I was very please to receive her service.
Unit is fine but light bulb went out after 1st visit and they told me it wasnt their responsibility to change it. So Im supposed to find a 10ft ladder and do it myself. Also dont like the fact the price went up $30 after 6 months.

I would like to mention that our company has been using Public Storage for the last 10 years. We never had any issues with any Employees or customers at this location before . Unfortunately , since the last 6 months we have been feeling harassed by Hector , an employee at this location. He is constantly trying to find excuses to complain about us. I hope upper management will take action on this matter.

Ystay away and save yourself a headachesame day i pay my unit they auction it for $125 ,00 after I pay $330.00i have a five feet unit , I call them and tell them Im paying my bill in the automatic checkout line, they toll me on the phone i have until that day to pay them dint give me a time, next thing i got a email where them was charging me again $ 325.00 dollar because alien and all the fee them bill you for, please safe your self a problem this is a scam and a bunch of thief if i can give them ( 0 ) i do so never recommended sta away....

2022-03-26I had high hopes for Public storage since my family has used it in the past. However, Sofia has made my experience an extremely unpleasant one since the day I picked up my keys. She was rude after I informed her that I have spoken to someone in the facility about honoring a price for climate control storage. Her tone was condescending and “well, I don’t see notes here that you’ve spoke to someone” After she spoke to someone and they confirmed I was indeed telling the truth she then became somewhat pleasant. Today , I was asked to leave and not allowed to finish unloading because she lacks costumer service and empathy. We told her our truck rental needs to be return by 9am and that they don’t open tomorrow until 930. She was unbothered and repeated “ we close at 5pm” cancelling !!

2022-05-02Really unethical. Our rental price went up the 4th month of being there already! I had specifically asked about this because the contract specifies their right to change prices every month, but they told me not to worry because my initial rate would be locked in for 6 month. This obviously was untrue.Also, note that regardless of what day of the month you move in, you always pay rent through the last day of the month, regardless of when you move out. We had asked about this as well, and were equally misinformed on this point.Other than that, the staff was generally pleasant, but their policies are not very friendly. You can only load and unload through the docks, so if you dont have a car and are just dropping something off or picking something up, its very awkward (youre not allowed to go through the office). Their hours are very limited - essentially working hours. So dont count on going early morning or after work.Moved my stuff to CubeSmart because of the broken trust on pricing, and so far, Im much happier there.

2021-11-25Such an awesome experience yesterday. Trying to cut down on costs and the young lady at the front, Lady, was such a great help. She was super helpful and patient. She was able to help us find a new unit that better fits our financial situation. If not we may have had to get rid of our current spot. Always a nice experience at this location.
