Whenever Im in the area, this is a must stop. The style of crust, the sauce, the toppings...its the whole package. As an added bonus, the owner of this particular shop is an avid hunter and decorates with a unique flair. If in Canandaigua, this is the place to dine.
Awful if I could give it zero stars I would. The service was horrible. I ordered 2 orders of mozzarella sticks thinking my kids and I could snack on those while the pizza was cooking but nope we got them the same time we got the pizza. The pizza was way over cooked. And you would think after spending 50 dollars on pizza mozzarella sticks and 4 drinks they would give you ranch but nope there was another 2 dollar charge. It wouldnt of matter if we had service bit the only time any one said anything was when I placed my order. But the manager Logan walked by a few time like we werent even there.
This is an annual tradition for one of my kids birthday dinner. Always good service and good food.
Unique taste that brings me back to the place over and over through the years. This is not “authentic” NY or CT style pizza...it’s its very own kind. Dough has just the right crisp on the bottom and is delightfully chewy on top. Whatever magic they use to keep the same unique taste over the decades hasn’t been replicated locally to my knowledge. Service is always great. Call ahead for large orders.
Oh my can I just say I love meatball subs. I am always interested in meatballs. And let me tell you their meatballs are amazing. Service was great, the person who took my order joked with us the whole time. A very friendly environment. Although all of the animal heads on the walls werent my favorite. But with such a good meatball sub who cares? 100% recommend
Though the food maybe ok to some Id advise you to think twice about ordering from there. We ordered for pick up and they filled the order incorrectly. We didnt know until after the boxes of wings were opened and people had their hands in the box because it was for a party. When we realized the wings were wrong they refused to give us correct wings or a refund unless we brought back the incorrect wings. That is... the wings... already opened... which guest had grabbed a couple and they want them back. Made me so uncomfortable. I will never risk possibly eating food that was returned from some household if that is their practice. Ewww!
Ordered 2 sheet pizzas, and 4 orders of boneless wings. Told people at our party to help themselves and eat. Came back to realize they gave us bone in wings. Called the restaurant and Logan whom claims to be the manager was rude about a mistake made by them. Told us they would only replace the wings that weren’t already eaten and that we had to return the wings they gave us. We explained that we would show them they gave us the wrong wings, but it is a health violation especially with covid taking back food. He then proceeded to tell us that he hasn’t been told that by the health dept and that we needed to bring the food back. This is very concerning and makes me believe they are taking food back and giving to other patrons when ordered. We brought the wings back that had already been eaten, and Logan proceeded to talk down to us in front of other customers, and confrontational about the wings being eaten. We brought the bones and explained this was for a large party and guests weren’t aware until purchaser came in and realized the mistake. They still refused to give the boneless wings that he had sitting on the counter. Because it’s their “regulation” to take back food that has already been consumed or touched by their customers. To do, who knows what with? Out of frustration we said fine we will purchase 2 orders, and he took the order of wings behind the window after we said we would purchase them, making us believe he was going to do something to them until we called him out and said why are you taking wings back there that we agreeed to purchase. This type of behavior makes us believe instead of making a mistake right, they would rather lose business and take a bad review. It also gives off the impression that they are re using food that they demand back after their mistakes. Very poor business management. I have a video of the entire interaction with the “manager”.
I ordered 2 slices of pizza and drink from Canandaigua pudgies. The total was $5.79. I only had my card on like most people these days. They have a $7.00 minimum for the use of the debit card witch is the most ridiculous thing i ever herd of, its 2021. I had no other time to stop anywhere else I ended up paying bc I had to get back to work. Also there pizza isnt that good any time a family member has ordered like a sheet pizza it always looks wet, like there water on it or something.
Omg so good!! Brought back memories of when I was growing up and went to the Newark location!! We traveled from Newark to get to the Canandaigua location .so worth it!! Well definitely be back soon!!
Just a classic staple pizza joint. Some of the best there is! Ive been going to this particular location since 1993 when my grandma would take me there for the 2 slice special after picking me up from school when I was in 2nd grade. Great memories, fantastic service, and even more stellar pizza!
Excellent, Stroganoff hot out of the oven. I was in Canandaigua and knew where I wanted to eat lunch. Did NOT disappoint!!

Pudgies has my favorite red pizza sauce. Their pepperoni pizza is exactly what the perfect flavor is to me. Exceptional Stromboli. Medium wings are great with very good blue cheese. I suggest trying their chicken species pizza at least once, its probably not for everybody but its one of our favorites.

Pizza was very good. Was very specific how I wanted the dough and requested the pizza to be cooked well done! They delivered to my satisfaction! Will visit again. Staff was wonderful!
Sooooo good!!! Pizza was absolutely outstanding and came very quickly after ordering, service was amazing and very friendly. We drove half an hour just to eat here and was more that worth it,would totally recommend!!!
Definitely a one of a kind eating experience with all the wildlife in the dinning room. The food is great and very friendly service. There are better options for subs in the area, but if you are looking for traditional pizza place fare, then this is one of the best in town, for sure.
Pudgies gets nostalgia points from me. Where I grew up (very small town) it was the only pizza joint in town... So thats what I had for every scouting event, birthday party, school event or occasional family pizza night.The pizza is actually good (not great) but I love it because it makes me feel like a kid again. However, if you dont have childlike love in your heart for them then I strongly suggest going with a sub. The pizza is average. The subs are outstanding.The store also brings on some nostalgia for the 70s. It is clean and neat but hasnt been updated in decades. Dont let that scare you away... Great service and good food. Give them a try!
The food was good but I’m giving this rating because of how uncomfortable I felt with the dead animal and such. One or two would be okay but everywhere you looked it really saddens me. Just a warning to whoever wants a good atmosphere it just wasn’t it for me. Personal opinion.
The wings are really tasty the dough they use for the pizza is also very yummy over all definitely worth the money. Only down fall is they dont accept Discovery cards and if you pay with a card they charge a dollar more to you order.

This particular Pudgies has an amazingly family friendly environment and has LOTS of mounted safari animals. Also, their food is incredible and the employees are very professional.
Ive never thought that I would eat at Pudgies. It want because of any reason other than I already had pizza places and I was a creature of habit. I stopped in today because I had time to kill and hadnt eaten lunch. I LOVED that my regular sized slice cost me $2.25. Not $5.00 with a need to slice it into 2. A reasonable cost for a reasonable sized slice. And it was tasty as well. Next time Ill order my slice well done. Staff was friendly, too.
Decent pizza. Great, low prices. The interior is an odd sort of place with lots of big-game trophies mounted around the dining area. If that bothers you, definitely pick a different lunch spot. If not, its an alright place to grab an affordable lunch.

Worst experience I have ever had ordering pizza and wings. We ordered a tray of pizza and a bucket of mild buffalo wings. When they arrived, the wings had a sweet barbecue sauce. When we called to straighten it out, we were told their mild is a sweet barbecue sauce. No buffalo sauce I have ever had has been a sweet barbecue sauce. I will never order from Pudgies again. They were no help in straightening out our order.
We stopped in for lunch and I had a sub and my wife had her favorite, the pudgie burger. The food was prepared fresh and was good. We will be back again.

Pudgies has always been one of my go to pizza places. Its inexpensive, especially in comparison to Marks, and the staff is always super nice! Personally, I wouldnt recommend eating there, as they have a lot of taxidermy animals in the sitting area, but ordering out works just as well.While the wings arent my favorite, I do really like their pizza and garlic bread. I only wish they had a gluten free option so I didnt have to suffer every time I ate there.
Very good for chain restaurant. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and even offered to help get my large order to my car. My only complaints are their menu is lacking a lot of the choices availabe on the Pudgies website and my sheet pizza was lacking any form of cheese in several areas. Pasta & meatballs are both excellent as well as their wings.
We had dinner ordered from pudgie’s tonight. We got a call letting us know stuffed ravioli wasn’t available, so we substituted it for stuffed shells! The lady over the phone confirmed the substitute of stuffed shells. We had our food delivered, and both our orders were baked ziti!! What the heck 😒 Not to mention it’s the smallest bowl of saucy noodles and cheese for $14.50. Ridiculous upcharge. Sorry pudgie’s, I’ll stick with Perri’s!
The pizza here is delicious. It makes a nice Friday night treat. Ive never eaten inside here before, but there are a few arcade games that look pretty nice for entertainment if you choose to dine in. Make sure to check out the calzones...especially the buffalo chicken flavor. If you choose to pay with a card here, make sure to bring your ID
Zero air conditioning, the pizza crust was good but sauce was mediocre. The toppings barely existed and it was expensive. $30 for medium pizza, 2 slices and 3 fountain drinks.
Hey Guys - Im giving you a 2 because of the quantity I received. As I sat there watching the gentleman make it, he was wearing no mask, no thing on his head and no mitts. His face was right down into the pie. When I got home I tried one slice and it was pretty tasteless. Lots of crust, not much on the inside. There was a lot of it however, and it all went into the trash. Kiss that $20 away....
I have an 18 year old who requires me to pick up her large stomboli every now and again. Always good food and friendly. Keep it up!
For a chain pizza place its more than decent. It needs toppings as the cheese and sauce is basically bland .. probably on purpose as kids usually dont like anything too spicy. I think I would ask them to add some chopped onion to the sauce b4 putting on cheese.
I ordered a Large Stromboli from this location. When I received it they delivered a small. I called the store and spoke to the store owner who lied to me and said they only offer one size of Stromboli, which I know that is a lie. I have ordered a large from there before and I was clearly much bigger than this. My wife then called back and the manager offered to come pick up the wrong food, charge us again for the correct one and redeliver in an hour. So they messed up and wanted to charge me double and make me wait another hour on top of the first hour they made me wait.
Worst sub in town, stale bread, hardly anything in it. theres three excellent sub and sandwich places around here, spend your money there instead
Pizza is good there if your just looking for a quick bite and the staff seems polite. However them charging an extra dollar to use your credit card is a bunch of bs and considering that most people use plastic these days I think its bad business throw that cost onto your customers. If you really want good pizza I think 650 on RT 96 is the best ( in my opinion) and they dont charge extra for using a credit card 😉.
Here visiting wanted to check them out based on local recommendation, honestly its not great and its pretty pricey. Pizza sauce is weirdly sweet pizza was pretty much cheese on a partial part ,it was like eating a little Caesars pizza that I had to pay 15 dollars for also they charge an extra dollar to use credit because Im guessing they are too cheap to pay the fees associated. Wont be going back again

I used to go here when I was a kid because my father used to go here when he was in college. Cut to 15 years later and its still awesome. Cheesy and garlicky and so, so good. If youre in town and you need some pizza, this is the place to be.

The disrespect the staff gives when you receive an order that is severely undercooked....👌🏼, An absolute awful experience with the manager over the phone. My strom was so undercooked It couldnt hold itself together the dough is so mushy! the wings I asked to be well done and they were not!, I just wanted It replaced I drove 30 mins! and couldnt make it back out today and they want the whole undercooked strom and all of the undercoked wings back...When???? days later when im back in that area?!?! Im not keeping rotting food in my home thats disgusting, I told the manager what was left and she wasnt sure it could be replaced??? At this point I just want a refund and I will no longer be a customer of this franchise💯.
Fabulous as always. The food is always consistent. One question... who cares about the decor if the reason for going to a pizza shop is for the pizza? Also, isnt it a plus that they have tables to dine in if youd like? People need to relax and stop judging the decore or wierd item off the menu they ordered at a Pizza Shop... stick to obvious selection such as pizza, wings, Stromboli, breadsticks, fried foods etc.
If youre looking for a good slice of stromboli get their pre-made slices they are better than if you order the stromboli itself.
Pudgie burger was great as usual, mozzarella sticks were cooked too long and had no cheese in them. Didnt discover it until we got home

I was very disappointed. First time trying this place because so many people talk about it. It honestly left me wondering what they were taking about. Pizza was ok chicken wing were less than ok.
Yuch! Dont waste your money. Went on a Monday, they say large pizzas are $9.99. Great, except that our total came to $40. I asked where the extra $20 charge came from, was told thats the toppings.
10X better than anywhere else. Called and order lunch(at lunch time) and within 10 minutes it was ready. I was greater by multiple employees when I walked in, the order was correct, and the price was perfect. Great place to go 👍🏼
Horrible service ordered pizza and wings ahead then waited an hour once there as pizza got cold and wings never got done. I left without wings. And they were rude and crabby. Never will I go to pudgies again. Pizza mediocre.

This restaurant experience is Best in Canandaigua. Always friendly, always great food, all the while looking at beautiful Big Game. Yes there are Lions, Zebras,Bears, Crocodiles, And even a dozen Big Game mounts. Dominic will share a smile and laugh with ya. Chaze will make Sure to say hello. Best of Everything.
I grew up with Pudgies Pizza, and still love it! I always stop here whenever I am in town for some great wings and stromboli. The staff is always cool there too.
We were on the road and starving. Came across pudgies and decided to stop. Im so glad we did subs were delicious and the restaurant decor was a definite photo opportunity. Thank you pudgies for a great lunch.

I am a native to the area, but have lived in Texas for many years now. Whenever I visit home, I always stop by pudgies. Always. Even when its bad (which is rare) its still good. I have relatives in California who mourn twice as hard since they are twice as far.

First time in Canandaigua and had food delivered to our room at Holiday Inn Express the sub was great, good bread not soggy like a lot of tuna subs are we were very satisfied

2022-06-02This place used to be the bomb. Now its basically an overpriced terrible excuse for a restaurant. Obviously whoever owns it has long stopped caring about being a good family dining experience in favor of the warehousing of myriad dead animals instead. If someone put half the effort into making the food as good as they do shooting and stuffing animals...it may be okay but probably still wont compete with a dozen other pizza places. I got better pizza from a grocery store while visiting the area. Its a hard pass from now on.

2020-10-07Order chicken parm sub from the Canandaigua location. Ordered it with extra sauce and get home and open it to find 2 tiny pieces of chicken on DRY bread! No cheese No sauce???? Never again. Taking my hard earned money elsewhere.

2021-08-10Good pizza. Great service nice eating atmosphere. Stromboli here is amazing. Only downside to pizza as bottom loses its crispy crunch pretty easy. Their cherry and toppings are top notch. The sauce also is great. So even if it loses its crisp some taste good.Free refills on their soda machine on cups and pitchers. So great value.
