The Pumpelly House is also great for a myriad of events. My sister is having her wedding shower at the Pumpelly House in the spring. The venue easily holds over 100 people and is always decorated well. They also have great food service. The back deck overlooks the Susquehanna and is super picturesque, especially in spring. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a party or get together!
I attended a wedding at the Pumpelly House. It is a beautiful facility with friendly staff. The upstairs provides a great space for wedding day prep and during the reception, it was a great place for the kids to get away from the loud atmosphere. It was cold and rainy that day, but I am sure the grounds are beautiful in nicer weather!
I was amazed at how beautiful it was, even my daughter fell in love. I only hope we can fit it in our budget, with lights up it would look magical at dusk which is my idea of perfection. Made it there late for the actual expo due to unforseen circumstances, but the grounds were my dream. We only got a few minutes with the vendors but took a glance at the B&B and we were totally impressed. I feel almost any bride would feel lucky to have this as her venue, like I said, only the financial part would stand in my way.
Last May my husband and I had our wedding here. It was WONDERFUL! Everything went smoothly, the food was delicious, Everyone was a pleasure to work with! Im by nature rather easily railroaded, but everyone there worked on drawing me out and helped me have the reception and ceremony I really wanted. Thank you Pumpelly House!
Pumpelly House is elegant, well maintained and is simply beautiful. The furnishing are comfortable and very well laid out and its caretakers ensure that you have everything you need to make your stay a memorable experience. If you want a relaxing stay in a small, friendly town. you’ll find it at Pumpelly Estates in Owego!
Dinner served with crud on forksand a hair in food which was ok because the chicken parm Im sure was pre- frozen Purdue breaded cutlets. Hosts possibly (very likely) drunk & definitely belligerent hillbilly types with too many political endorsements posted. We dont need that when were on a vacation break. Pulled back bedding to find a nest of mice. Needless to say we left.
Pros:This Bed and Breakfast has recently been remodeled (March 2008).Very easy to find.It has local charm and history.WIFI and HD LCD TV(with cable) in the rooms.Comfy BedBeautiful Common Parlor (with HD LCD TV and Internet Computer), Dining Room, Carriage Entrance.Beautifully Restored Antiques and Antique Knock-offs.Beautiful art on the walls.Pleasant and Knowledgeable HostCons:Parking was not finished in March 2008, you had to park on the grass.Lots of Stairs. My wife and I took the train to Syracuse. Did an errand in the Little Falls Area and dragged ourselves to this B&B past the check in time.We were greeted pleasantly, given the ful tour, and directed to a local italian restaurant for a late supper. This B&B is great. I love the comfy beds with a bunch of pillows, recently remodeled bathrooms, and beautiful decorating. By far, this is the fanciest B&B we have ever stayed at.We could set our own breakfast time and they have limited kitchen access, too. Each room is named after a local person of note in Owega history.I recommend this place to anyone.

2022-02-27My fiancée and I were able to have a night to ourselves while the kids had a sleep over so we decided to do a “stayvacation” here. Absolutely loved it, the bed was extremely comfortable, the owners were very kind and inviting. They have a perfect pantry set up for drinks both hot and cold. It was a perfect night to ourselves followed by an amazing breakfast in the morning.

2020-09-04Christine was fabulous from the start! We had our wedding here and stayed in the bed and breakfast. During these crazy times with COVID, Christine and her staff immediately set to work to make sure our wedding happened in a safe and compliant manner. We couldn’t have asked for more. Beautiful setting, great food, beautiful bed and breakfast! Christine was awesome to work with and everything went beautifully! She even did a special dance to make the rainy forecast go away and IT WORKED! Sunny and beautiful day! Thank you Christine!

2019-11-04The Pumpelly House was the ceremony and reception site for my daughters wedding 10/19/19. This property was perfect for my daughters vision of an intimate and unique setting. The well maintained grounds offered several different backdrops and the owner, proprietor, and event planner Christine accommodated our requests for just the right location. We stayed in the very reasonably priced and luxurious B&B rooms the night before and after the event and I would recommend this arrangement wholeheartedly. The carriage house was a treasure to behold and there is no place like it around; many of the authentic architectural details are preserved throughout, adding to the character and charm of the venue. While surroundings are key, food and service are the most important and both were top notch. We received many compliments from our guests about what a great experience they had which just added to the overall perfectness of the day.

2019-10-09We spent two wonderful nights at this amazing B&B. This well-run property includes a main house that is a dream for lovers of older homes and antiques. Our bed was comfortable, the in-room bathroom spacious and clean and our host treated us like family. Youll love the breakfast. Take time to explore the grounds that feature gardens, rolling lawn down to the river and a show-stopping carriage house. Please dont miss this on your Owego stop!
