Pumpkinville is a must see for those who enjoy the Fall season. It has plenty of family friendly attractions but there is also plenty to do for adults as well.A wide variety of Fall-inspired food coupled with fun outdoor activities make Pumpkinville a regular stop for me every year.
Outstanding Farm. Lots to do for everyone. There are different levels of activity wristbands but both give you a good amount of activities to do like Jumping Pillows, Corn Maze, Hay Ride, Cow Train, Playground. Are all included in the basic pass and the more advance pass also includes a Train Ride and Gem Mining. There are also animal barns and shops to look in that you don’t need any pass to go in. They have food and beverages on site and make the apple cider they sell right there and you can watch them make it too. Of course you can buy pumpkins there and other fresh foods made in the farm. This is the best farm in the area and not too pricy as well!
Nothing really changes year-to-year, but the food is affordable, the scenery is amazing, and the different activities and shops are worth checking out. We feel the pumpkins, though, are incredibly overpriced ($20 for some!) as similar pumpkins are sold in the immediate area for much less.
We have gone every year since my son was 2, he is now 28 with a child of his own. It is a fall tradition that we look forward to every year. Sadly, because of the ridiculous changes, this will be our last year. We always get fresh donuts, still warm from the fryer, this year they were cold and not fresh at all. We purchase a pass for our grandson to do all the things, and then we get separate tickets for us for the hay ride, corn maze, and train ride. This year we were forced to buy $77 worth of passes for things we had no intention of using. Absolutely disappointed!!
Really disappointed. If youre taking little kids and you have the money to spend, ok. But for adults that dont have kids, theres very little to do. A couple cute little stores, a cider mill, and what else??? You used to be able to walk around and look at the kids activities and just watch. You cant do that now, its gated off and you have to pay. As far as the food goes, its cooked dry and over priced. So for kids Im sure its fun, for adults, not so much.
After a 14 year tradition of going to Pumpkinville on Columbus Day, yesterday was our last visit. We have been going for many more years than 14 and have always enjoyed walking around and doing one or two of the activities. Unfortunately Pumpkinville has jumped on the bandwagon of charging everyone admission on weekends and Columbus Day, therefore not a budget friendly experience. Along with this notion, you will have adults who figure they need to get their moneys worth and participate in all the activities like the jump pillows. Apparently the employee there thought his job was only to hold down the bench and not make sure the kids were safe on the jump pillows. It used to be one side was for the bigger kids and the other side was for the little kids and were limited to how many kids were jumping at one time. Yesterday was a free for all on the jump pillows and my toddler was knocked over by the same adult twice who didnt know better than to jump full bore on the jump pillow with the little ones. The employee never said anything to me or the woman jumping when I picked up my crying toddler who had bite his lip when he was knocked down a 2nd time after gaining his footage after being knocked down by the same woman the 1st time. I made a comment to him that there shouldnt be full grown adults jumping with the little ones and we left the jumping area. He just sat there with a blank look on his face. I had always supported Pumpkinville even though their competitor is a lot closer to my home. Ill save the gas from now.
I havent been in a few years, went yesterday and Ill never go again. I cant believe the obnoxious prices, all the activities used to be a free walk in now its almost $20 PER PERSON. To me, I think its ridiculous, its not anything like going to the fair. The food is obviously pricey but its expected. The pumpkins are something else. $15+ for a good sized pumpkin you could get for half that at any farm within 10 miles. Just got really expensive, which seems like a good reason for 2 stars. Only reason there is 2 stars is because the food is pretty good
I havent been there in a couple of years, but theyve enclosed the amusement area, which isnt bad but they charge 17 to 25 dollars for any entry even the adults that are just watching their kids play. Kinda pricey since the only thing that was new to me was an alcohol drinking area. Imo not worth the price anymore.
The addition of the beer garden (pavilion) is a huge plus. The animals and activities are now fenced off. So you have to pay to go into that area. It used to be more open. We would always take the drive and spend a few hours there. There was less to see this year... but I get it. It was probably due to Covid changes. Still love watching the cider making. Best cider around for sure!
Been going to Pumpkinville for about 5 years now. It was always free to walk around the attractions, petting the animals, getting pictures. We would usually bring a group, buy the barnyard pass for the kids and pay for one adult to take the kids on the hayride, train, etc. We bought our grandsons pass online for $17.50. We thought it was the same scenario, where we could get an adult pass when needed. It doesnt say on the website that everybody is required to pay at least the $17.50, to get into the attractions. So for 2 adults and one kid it cost $52.50. Which, okay, I understand the need to make money; but this should be clearly stated on the website. It just ask what quantity of tickets you want to purchase and nothing about them Changing the free area to a pay area. Its really a shame. We always shopped the stores, bought food and cider. The reason we would go to Pumpkinville, is because it was reasonable and family friendly. It was raining and cool when we went on 10/15. Im sure this factored into the attendance, but Im also sure the admission charge turned quite a few people away. I counted at least 3 disappointed families that left. Usually you have to struggle to find a parking spot, not this year, fairly easy in fact. If you plan on dropping $100+ this might work for your family. For our money, we will go elsewhere. Also, we traveled 1 and 1/2 hrs to get here. What a disappointment.
Disappointed as so much of the stuff to do was behind a fence. The cheapest rate was $17 to go back. My granddaughter would not do most of the activities as she is only 14 months old, but would have loved the petting zoo & train. Wasnt pay that fee to go back. Real bathrooms (not porta johns) were also behind this fence. What a scam.
Very disappointed that as a grandma and grandpa of a 3 week old grandbaby, we could not even push the carriage in the childrens ride area without paying 15.50 a person. These astronomical prices will keep away a lot of families. It will cost a family of 4 close to $100 for a day out. Very sad because Pumpkinville was a great place to visit when we were here two years ago.We will not be back.
We used to drive here from Akron because The Great Pumpkin Farm was over priced. We were super disappointed that Pumkinville has now hopped on the greed wagon too. Instead of walking around with your kids at your leisure, (like previous years) you have to pay $17.50 per person to watch your children enjoy the activities. We noticed that parents now sit outside the fenced in area while their kids go in alone, I’m assuming because parents can’t afford to take the whole family in. While I do realize this charge is just on the weekend, people who live far, or who work during the week can only come on the weekends. Pretty good way to ruin a great place.
What an absolute joke. We have come here for 20 years. $18.50, per person for the same terrible homade little booths (attractions, but really garbage) that have been there for 10-15 years? It is abysmal. Other place charge half and have real attractions, rides and a family atmosphere. Stay away from here, this come form a 20 year customer. Monday thru Thursday is free but this is extortion.
Money grab. Nearly $20 per person just to walk around and then you have to pay additionally to partake in any of the activities. Not only that but the owners are discriminatory as far as disabilities go. My wife and I brought our two children, our youngest is on the spectrum/tic disorder and has a service animal working with him. We were forced to leave her behind in the car as we made an over hour long drive to this place as its a tradition. My wife is a licensed trainer and runs a dog daycare/grooming facility. They were outwardly willing to disregard ADA and NYS laws even after being notified that they were by not even asking, but telling her to leave his animal behind due to their “insurance policy” which is a flat out lie none the less the dog itself is insured. We weren’t willing to argue but a complaint will be filed.
Used to be free we went this year with our daughters and saw it was $17.95 per person to just go see the goats!! What a rip off!! We will be looking for a new place to go. The prices for food and drinks are fair but is priced way to high for activites that used to be free.
We love going here every year I recommend buying tickets online cause you save $2 a ticket and you only need to buy tickets if you are going to go in to do the play stuff if your going just to buy food and pumpkins you dont need to pay to get in witch I think is nice cause they have cute little shops that I like to shop and love love there maple cotton candy
Ok price is reasonable for children’s activities but the parent price should be dropped down. 5 dollars would be understandable not 10 dollars to accommodate our children. I can see paying the 21 dollars for him but the 20 dollars for my wife and I was to high since we just stand and watch. Sorry!!!! Should make it more affordable for families!!!!!
Good time overall but the layout is confusing now because of covid- a lot of the general entertainment stuff (petting zoo, kids train ride, etc) are roped off and you have to pay extra just to enter that entire section. Dont know if thats a direct result of covid or simply a cash grab but access to shops is immediate so you can purchase things. The goods are still excellent quality as always but cant help feeling just a bit disappointed.
A little disappointed to see a entry fee this year just to get in used to be free and then u paid for the attractions which I’d spend at least $100 easy I didn’t mind was always a good time for the kids now with the fee probably won’t be coming this year for the first time in over 10 years 😢
Ive been going to this place for the good part of 15 years. Its an okay place. They have too many people coming and not enough space or staff to accommodate them. It used to be a cute place for kids to go and it was reasonably priced. I about fell over when I went and there was wrist bands and prices for hay rides and wagon rides. Helicopter rides??? There is a HUGE yellow jacket problem. Where there is food, there is bees. Someone needs to get on top of that.
Took my 5 Grandkids to Pumpkinville today 10/17/20. We had a great day with plenty to do. This is a great deal for the money especially if you have a bunch of kids. Most other places Ive been to charge extra for everything. Pumpkinville does not. $10 admission is reasonable for each person with no other charges.
Like most people my family and myself look forward to it every year even with the overpriced admission. However for how much it costs for a young family of 4 to partake in all the activities, it would be nice if we didn’t have to deal with hair baked into our annual loaf of pumpkin bread. With that, as well as the yellow jacket sting my wife received, this year’s overall experience will definitely affect future plans on attending this event.
This place has changed. Turned greedy. The only thing U can do is walk thru the gate and get food or browse the shops of over priced goods. They have fenced off any attraction, place for pictures , petting zoo etc. Now there is a cost to do just about anything. The place has gone down hill badly. How sad they only care about money not the enjoyment of the people who have been coming there for years. For shame!!!. And their reasons for the admissions, to keep capacity levels low. Well it works as the price is ridiculous for what little they actually offer. Many say they will never go back. Hope fully no one ever goes back. It would serve the greedy b@#&×÷ds right.
For over 20 years we went to pumpkinville and I had a great time lot of memories this year ruined it I will never go back you can go for free to all the little stores but if you want to go and pet the goats or see all the other animals or all the little attractions and take pictures of the chair and just walk around you have to pay $10 if they dont like doing it like they said on their sign then why make people pay the $10 the money was not the object people would like to just take pictures of things that theyve always done for free but now you have to pay a $10. For 5 minutes worth of pictures time to find a new place for next year
We were just there last weekend. I struggle between 3 and 4 stars. It seems they have become more commercialized in the past years, which I suppose is understandable. I did, however have a couple major issues come up. The seesaw closest to the middle of the fun area was off kilter. It was coming down and crushing their legs because of where the stop was shifted to. 2 of the 3 kids in my party were hurt as well and at least 1-2 kids we saw after. We notified staff but also noted an hour later nothing had been done. We also witnessed the steps breaking off the back of the hay wagon. The staff member called to report it and it could be heard that the response was “oh yeah ‘so and so’ reported that this morning” ... why did we wait until someone almost got seriously injured? I still give it three stars for a good location and amount of activities available but just couldn’t do 4 stars, secondary to dangerous occurrences and a really terrible “pumpkin” funnel cake.. which was a frozen puck of funnel cake with what was supposed to be pumpkin spice seasoning over cooked to inedible.
It was way too busy and with the covid precautions put in place by the government. my son couldnt do any of the games or rides because they were at capacity. So it was kinda of a waste of an hour and a half drive. The only upside was him getting a pumpkin, apple cider, and there yummy pumpkin donuts. Do not go on a Saturday itll be a big waste of your time.
Make the trip for the pumpkin doughnuts is what I wrote 3 years ago. Unfortunately, even the doughnuts dont justify a visit to the money grab farm.I have watched this place go from a quaint pumpkin farm to a flat out rip off. I dont mind paying for the kids to enter and play on the rides/games but why do you need to charge the parents just to supervise their kids. Parents have no desire to go on the pillow jump or climb the slides but you are asking them to pay almost $40 just to watch. Poor business plan. A 10 year family tradition just ended. RESPONSE: Shame on you for using COVID as a cover to charge patrons. If you are really concerned about the number of guests,, than have a no pay option for adults and older teens that cant and wont use the attractions
Great family place but to expensive for admission for kids. Its not like they have arcade rides there .its more expensive than an amusement park. It wasnt worth my trip with 3 kids. Gem mill shouldve been included in admission wristband not an extra 6 bucks a piece. The admission was 15 bucks a piece to begin with. Totally unimpressed
Well first I will say it was a pretty good experience at first. Tons of things for our grandson to do. He enjoyed it and we were enjoying it. We decided after doing all the activities, we bought him a wristband, we had to do the corn maze. It was fun but the activity you are supposed to do while walking through, find stations and color a finger for each, the stations were empty, no colors. When we mentioned it to the attendant at the entrance, we were told its been that way for weeks. We started out day at 10 am. So no good at maintaining the attraction but guy made us feel it was our fault because we mentioned it to him. Well we decided to do a little shopping in the shops there... I needed a pumpkin for a sermon Im doing Sunday and I figure, this would be the perfect place to get it. We decided to peek into a little shed shop they have with knick knacks in it. I came across one that wasnt sitting right. Reaching for it it feel over and became 2 pieces. Feeling pretty bad about it I went to the register to tell them what had happened. I believe honesty is the best policy. Well that belief cost me just under 8 bucks as the woman rang me out for it, mind you I didnt want it in the first place, but made me feel like, again, it was my fault. Again, 2 times in just moments it was my fault that something wasnt right. No I didnt buy a pumpkin. At that point, I figure they have enough of my money for the day. No, I didnt bring the broken piece home. Very dissatisfied 1st time customer. Probably would have been better years ago when this was a small attraction and less commercial.
Its been a fall tradition for over 13 years now. Free to get in but rides cost money. Excellent food to choose from including my sweets like fresh made donuts and kettle corn. My family has always enjoyed are trips there. My kids especially love the tractor rides and feeding the animals.
Pumpkinville is a great Fall/Halloween activity for kids and families! Full day of fun outdoors with alot of things to do. The best pumpkin donuts u will ever have! You can even pick out the perfect pumpkin for your jack-o-lantern, with the huge variety of sizes and shapes.
Super disappointed I havent missed an opening day at pumpkinville in 11yrs its always a quick trip to pick up cider doughnuts and feed the animals but this year everything was gated off I couldnt bring myself to spend $17 to feed the animals as thats the only thing my daughter would do
It’s unfortunate that this place has felt the need to supersize and commercialize to the extent of losing longtime loyal patrons. The prices are highly inflated considering what is included in the cost: throwing balls through holes, sliding down a tube that you practically have to crawl down, simple teeter totters, etc. The hayride was nothing exciting-we circled a sunflower patch. Pumpkinville used to be an annual excursion to enjoy freshly made donuts and cookies (bakery filled w flypaper as flies are swarming inside the covers of the baked goods-yuck!), pick out a pumpkin (ten bucks for the same size you can get down the road for 2, which adds up when you’re buying 5-6 pumpkins for a family!), and having a lunch picnic w warm apple cider (the quality of their food has gone down while still the prices go up, up, and up!). Sadly, our visits here have come to an end. It’s not even enjoyable shelling out nearly $100 for subpar entertainment and food.
We have always loved our visits there. This weekend was our 29th year making the 130 mile trip. We remember Pumpkinville before they moved to this location and will always cherish it as we have taken pictures of our children behind those wooden pumpkins every year of their lives, but it was a little dis heartening not to see the fields of pumpkins growing on the back acreage where the corn maze and train depot are now. Thanks for the good years.
Took my grandson who is now 22 now my granddaughter who is his little sister. A very family friendly place. The ride is so beautiful in the fall ,love the cookies and donuts, always a must to bring home. Hope to come down again this year. See you soon Pumpkinville. Also remember when you had the helicopter my son and grandson really enjoyed that. 😃👍👍👍👍💟💟🚁
Very disappointed!!! Very expensive for what you get, which is pretty much nothing, except for the free parking. Website says it free which is technically true, its free to walk onto the property...for anything else be prepared to shell out money. There were also very few things to do even if you are willing to spend the money. Save money and have a better time at the great pumpkin farm festival in Clarence. Much better with MANY more activities for less cost.
We loved Pumpkinville! Theres so much to do and the prices are just right. A dozen homemade donuts here is way cheaper than a dozen at Tims, so you dont have an excuse to not get any! The corn maze was our favorite. We picked a pumpkin from the patch and the guy at the pay stand cut us a nice deal :) Take your family while the seasons still open!
My kids and I love this place and have gone every year for about 7 years now. Unfortunately, we won’t be going this year as the prices just keep rising. It used to be an affordable, fun day trip for the kids but now it would cost $100+. It’s unfortunate that we have to retire our little tradition and look elsewhere 😢
Family spent the entire day out there and had a great time. Got some good size pumpkins relatively cheap and a bunch of fresh cider to take home. We absolutely loved all the fresh-baked pumpkin flavored Goods you can buy. I think pumpkinville has a lot of potential for growth and could really become a large attraction in a few years.
A place we visit every year but not sure if we will go back after today. I spent $42 on my 2 children for their ultimate wrist band. They have a new playground this year that my boys, who are 3 and 5, were so excited about. We get to the entrance and the man tells me that I am not allowed in the playground to watch my children without purchasing a ticket for $4.50! My 3 year old would not go in without me which is understandable. This is the most ridiculous rule! I heard several others complain as well. The least they could do to show their customers some appreciation is allow the parents to be with their children to share the moment without having to spend additional money to do so!
Look forward to Pumpkinville every year! Because of COVID, you know its going to be difficult and different. I was surprised to see that as a parent you had to pay $10 ea. just to walk around with your kids! Attractions not up to previous standards. Save your money this year.
3 stars for nostalgia and friendly staff. Weve been going to Pumpkinville for 11 years, since before we even had kids! Each year the prices get higher; we went today and spent upwards of $80 for two hours (family of four). Two wrist bands cost almost $30 and dont include some rides/attractions, cider is $7/gal, everything is just so overpriced for what it is.We appreciate Pumpkinville for what it used to be, but sadly this year was the last of our 11 year tradition.
If you have small kids then do not buy tickets for the rides/ playground. My child was not tall enough to get up on some of the things in the playground but I was not allowed to help her or even go in. The hay ride she cant ride alone so we were told we needed another ticket so I could ride with her. The other cow train no one was there to even try to ride and after about 5 min we decided to leave. We went back to the front to get a refund and were met with 2 very rude ladies that basically called us liars. We were not asking for a full refund just to only pay for the 2 rides we went on. We paid for the $15 pass originally. We will definitely not be back. Looking back I should have just bought more tickets so I didnt have to hear all night about how she wanted to ride the hay ride and cow ride! This is supposed to be a fun place, guess I was wrong.
It is free to get in and the petting zoo is also free. After that you can buy things in the shops, food, fresh made on sight donuts and cider! There are also rides for the kids that you can buy a bracelet or single ride tickets. They also sell pumpkins which kind of goes without saying doesnt it?
I was furious. My 2 nieces i brought w me and bought them wrist bands so they can do most activities well we get to the playground they created they wont let adults come in to watch their kids mind you its a big playground and huge slide and some things that need suprvison. And they told me i could not go in to watch my 3 yr old niece and 4 yr old niece so they dont get hurt. When alls i wanted to do is watch them no particapate but just watch them but they make u stay so far away from the playground u cant see them.(if i got on the playground activities feel free to thow me out) but i was just trying to keep a 3 yr old and 4 yr old in my sights like a responsable adult. I really think they need to rethink their policies before they end up w a law suit. I could understand not letting adults in with kids that r older but the little ones need supervision im so heated about this.

2021-10-09Such a fun place to go. So much to do, for a reasonable price too! Our toddler especially loved the slides, wooden train he could climb through and jump pillow. Of course we got a glass of fresh cider on our way out too. Glad we got to spend a fall Saturday here

2021-10-08My Granddaughter had the best time here! The petting zoo had horses, pigs, turkeys, bunnies, goats and sheep. Huge bouncing pad. Hayrides. Corn maze. Carousel. Cow train. The staff is friendly and efficient. I ordered a Hotdog, fries and their homemade Cider all for under $8. The kids meal consisted of a PB&J sandwich, carrot sticks and milk, Cider or water. For dessert we had pumpkin custard, so good, frosted sugar cookies, pumpkin doughnuts and Cider slushies. The food was pretty good. The attractions were even better. My new fall favorite.

2021-10-25I have been bring my grand children there for 15 years and my kids before that. I love the family fun and yes it is getting better every year with your improvements. The fact that my 15 year old granddaughter ask to go this year should tell you how much she loves it. However. Being a grandmother who has always paid for the family to enjoy you fine place. With having to pay for myself and my adult children. The cost this year was over the top. I will no longer be coming because it is now priced to high for my budget. I can see the cost for kids. And price the adult activities as appropriate but to charge parents and grandparents is not necessary.

2021-10-17Literally a waste of time, gas and especially money. I have been coming here for YEARS! It’s been a family tradition that sadly will be ending. We just had a baby not too long ago, so I went inside the paid area with our older son. And my husband stood outside of the paid area with our baby so we didn’t have to pay $75 dollars (baby being free) just to watch our son put his face in the characters for pictures or for us to stand by the flowers for pictures or for us to look at the animals because god forbid the food for them would be included. It had rained today so obviously the jump area was closed and everything was extremely muddy. Just as a price comparison, I could go to Waldameer for the same price and that has ten times more things to do. After spending that kind of money just for a train ride, to throw an extremely muddy basketball against a wall and slip and slide my way through the corn maze we decided against spending more money on our usual pumpkins and apples.

2020-10-22We love coming to this place every year to get our pumpkins and some awesome maple candy. The kids had a great time playing on all the attractions and they enjoy the hayride too. The corn maze is a fun idea and its even more fun when it starts to get dark.

2020-09-20A great autumn experience for families. The prices were very reasonable. My daughter was able to do a couple hours of different activities for $20 and she would have been entertained much longer, if we didnt have somewhere else to be.They have a corn maze and a hay ride (no actual hay), both of which were very good. There were goats, some other activities, and a cute fall market. The food was of varying quality. I had a bbq chicken, which was a little dry but still decent. My daughter had a hot dog that was vile. It was cooked so long that it had a think, dry, cracking crust. My only other complaint was that many guests didnt wear masks, or wore them as chin straps. There was no enforcement.

2020-10-11The Pumpkin Donuts were amazing, the hot Apple cider delicious. Plenty of activities for the kids and food choices were good. All had reasonable pricing. Social Distancing was definitely on point.

2020-10-02Way better than Clarence pumpkin farm, much less commercialized. About an hour from Amherst, NY, beautiful trees during early October drive there. Reasonably priced pumpkins and entertainment.

2018-10-10Its tradition to go to pumpkinville with our Grands once a year. Theyve expanded their grounds to include a nice playground area with an enormous slide. My favorite and the kids too is the hayride. But they have so much fun with the air pillows, petting zoo, feeding the goats, the cow train and the corn maze. We grab a bite to eat at the BBQ Pit and always buy pumpkins and cider before we leave. Great family fun for everyone.
