Love the space for a show! Bartenders and staff were very friendly for anless than crowded jam band show. Drinks served in small plastic cups was a bit of a let down, especially when paying $7 for a draft. The selection of beers was great, but the size and price contradicted the nicer setting they were going for.
I went to my first show since the renovations. They did an amazing job, the place looks great! The show was fantastic. The owner Tiffany and I were in contact prior to to show. She was so down to earth and answered any questions I had. We also got to meet Ghostface all because of her. I don’t think I could be happier and neither could my boyfriend.
It had been a little while since I went to Putnam Den now Putnam Place. I couldnt believe the difference when I first walked in again. The place has been totally remodeled with an eye toward live performance. In some ways its what weve all been kind of dreaming of, a legit small (under 500 people) performance venue capable of drawing really interesting acts. Its a bit smaller than upstate concert hall but much more modern and clean. Great sound, plenty of edgy bartenders and well organized. The Wife is pregnant and the owner Tiffany offered us VIP seats to keep us out of the fray. She mentioning she was a mom and understood. That kind of classy move seems to be redefining Putnam Place as a mature venue for interesting acts. The show was Wyclef Jean and was a bit of a disappointment. I got tickets the day they went on sale and had been looking forward to it for months. We had a baby sitter and could not stay for the whole thing but what we saw was a solo act digging up the tunes that made some waves. He is a talented guy and I expected an artist flexing his powerful Haitian inspired dance beats. What we got was a dude on stage reminding us why he could be there. All his work is inventive the live show fell short for me.
Formerly the Putnam Den, Putnam Place has always been a favorite local music venue for me. Recently they have done lots of remodeling and upgrades, making it even better!I love the new modern seating areas that can easily be removed for more dance floor when needed, although the space feels like it has nearly doubled in size already!I look forward to lots of amazing live music in this new, trendy venue! Thanks Putnam Place!
I visited The Putnam Place last night with friends as a designated driver. I had a reconstructive surgery which from time to time requires me to extend my knee, when I attempted to do so, the Owner promptly started screaming at me. I assumed she was a patron as well, so instead of arguing I left, luckily there are numerous locations in Saratoga Springs that accommodate to the handicapped. I was told by a member of her staff that thats just how she is when I asked why wouldnt she just speak to her customers instead of screaming like a child. Aesthetically the Place is amazing but the negative energy is abundant. Love is Love
Three times Ive had an issue when I order a specific vodka theres one specific bartender that keeps giving me the wrong stuff and I can taste it and smell it immediately and it makes me sick and then he will argue with me when I tell him that that is not the correct vodka thats why I dont go there that often and I would prefer to be waited on by somebody else

2022-02-14Great little venue and the door staff was friendly and inviting but the bartender was not. The cover was 15 bucks for local bands so could be worse but could probably be 5 bucks better too

2019-04-13I’ve seen a couple of concerts here and very much looking forward to going back. I love that this venue is so small and intimate - it’s like you’re in the pit at a big amphitheater! And the shows that this place attracts are actually legit - we saw Ryan Montbleau and CBDB both play here this pst summer. Can’t wait to come back!

2022-03-29Great spot to see a show. Never had a problem parking in one of the several public lots near by.

2018-04-08Interesting venue. Bar tenders were on their game and did a great job trying to serve everyone. WC is clean and quite spacious. The two most irritating things about this place are the placement of the ATM and the allowed seating at the bar. The ATM is near the stage, light blaring and searing your retinas. It was so bad a lad threw his coat over it and eventually unplugged the thing. The seating at the bar makes it impossible to get a drink. People are waiting 10 deep and trying to force their way to the bar between the seated guests. It took me 20 minutes to get a drink. Seating has to go.

2021-06-22This was our first visit here, and I wish it was the first place we stopped at that night. Very clean, modern/updated place. Absolutely beautiful. If youre looking for somewhere mature to go, that isnt loaded with annoying drunk college kids, check this place out.

2019-02-22Great music venue. Stage is big enough for some of the larger Acts. Huge dance floor. If you go early enough you might get one of the few Tales. Bartenders are great and the bar was well-stocked. Prices are what you would expect to pay in Saratoga. Putnam Place great place to hang out and listen to a band. I gave them three stars because they gave me everything they promised for an event venue.
