Queens Public Library at Ozone Park in other cities:
The place has be renovated and during the time away, its been very apparent how important a library in the community is.The staff could be more friendly and I definitely think there should be more community involvement within the library organization, but its a great place to be, adults and kids alike.

This is my first experience at this library and I am very disappointed with the demeanor of a particular staff member, he was extremely rude and unprofessional. I don’t think I would ever recommend or use this library again. Staff, just keep in mind that you’re providing a service to the community try to do it with respect your actions is a reflection of the organization.
The employees are really rude, especially the lady who sits in the main front desk. She is here to give service not giving orders or scolding or yelling at people for no reason. It was bad. I hate to go there but its near my house and too lazy to go far. Hopefully Queens Library do some improvement there. It would be great.
Some stuff are very rude. Specially the lady who is in the desk to check out books. Face is sad, expression like I am bothering her. Totally unprofessional. The bearded gentleman in information desk is rude too but not like the lady. Another gentleman without beard is very helpful. This is my first day and I got very bad experience from them.
I asked for the bathroom key and the female employee told me its occupied. there were two bathrooms, so i told her that and without explanation, she said no there isnt and then walked away. unprofessional and rude. she could have at least gave an explanation.
Used to go here when I was a kid. I would come to play games on the computer for 30 minutes since we did not have one at the time. The place however is not the safest place to study or read. Two of my bikes got stolen in the bike parking place. They were both locked up but still they got robbed in a OPEN place. This just shows how dangerous it can be at times. THIS HAPPENED 6 YEARS AGO.

I would rate it 2.5 stars but I cant. I dont like the layout of the new library because there is no privacy at the computers , the computers are literally facing the tables that people sit on. Secondly the kids by the kid section are way to loud I could hear the noise they make when I come in. basically the new layout the weirdly placed and there is too much noise and less space compared to the library when it wasnt renovated. On a side note they always got the ac to the wrong temperature in my opinion.
They yell at people who are not doing anything. I was just getting a book and I see 2 girls starting to giggle and one if the staff members yelled at them saying to stop or leave. Its called public for a reason. At least allow a little fun but they just toss it out the window. They also need to update the time,I arrived at the time I saw at their website and they closed like an hour ago. And most of their book are ruined with missing pages or scribbled. So its. hunt for the missing pages.😤
Queens library ozone park in Rockaway Blvd very good to locate and like other library this library is also busy with readers. Library located in a easy to locate place has all kind of private and public transport. Bus q41, q112 near the library, train A at Rockaway station. Childrens section is big with books and childrens game. Beside english, this library contains books of other language.
This library is small and crowded. People speaks loud here including library officials. If you plan to stay here longer, make sure you bring water with you as this library has no water fountain.
Its Really a shame what Queens Libraries have become!! Oversighted, this one in particular is kind of gross. It seems as they havent had any kind of maintenance at this location in years! As you enter youre slapped with the odor of old books and sweat. The floors, bathrooms, bookshelves and tables look like they have been properly cleaned in ages. BUT there are plenty of librarians and volunteers. There are plenty of books, if you can find one in decent condition its like a gem. I go only because of my daughters affinity towards books.
This library has weird hours. You have check the hours before you go. It is a great place to sit and read a book or magazine. There is only metered street parking. Or you may have a long distance to walk.
Don’t ever go here. I was just minding my business but some librarian was so nosy and kept asking me stuff. And it is always so loud and the worker act bored all the time and is so rude!😔😡

The library is finally opened and it looks awesome. I hope the staff will try their best to keep it clean and noise free so that visitors enjoy their visit.
Great place to be able to read a good book.Staff are very helpful,lots of activities,throughout the month.Very Clean.I attended a Zumba class,loved it!!!I highly recommend this library to those who want to feel at home💝

I love the this library and its cozy . My only issue is that I wish it was open longer so I can study there on weekdays and weekends.
Best place to get vaccinated, no long lines and not need for a appointment
I stopped going to this library due to the noisy kids who hang out there, lack of tables, rude people who work there. It not enjoyable. Please fix.
Its amazing if you get to know the staff and its a great place to read, if your under 18 its easy to pay off your fines by reading them down.
I wish it was my library but it is what it is. Cannot wait for covid to be over soon.

The place is loud, but there kid...right. The staffs are sooo nice, and veryyyy helpful.
Wonderful Environment and Stafs are very helpful although teens makes chaos all the time.
Saids Monday close at 8pm, but arrived here around 6:30 and they were closed. Should have updated the open hours if changed. :(((((((

2022-02-02Went here for my booster shot and my 10yr old daughters first dose. We walked in and wow... no line, clean, friendly tentative staff. We got seen right away. I was very pleased, look forward to going back for her second dose. 😊

2021-12-27Horrible lines around the block for vaccine shots for 1 year now. No books or Enrichment for children. That sends a message that Ozone Park doesnt deserve a library. Ulrich and queens politicians failed the area.Library or Vaccine Center?

2021-05-27Got my covid vaccine here today and was so nervous had an anxiety attack but the staff there were really attentive, a doctor and medics are on standby in case of emergency. They put me to lay for a while until I was better and then I left. Great service.

2021-08-20Went here for my first dose because I have asthma and it was easy fast 2hrs max - No one arguing - No problems - Walkins are expected - appointments are frist tho - and all different Races coming together in one goal and I feel thats a good thing.Be safe yaMy 2nd dose is next month.Update o been fully Vaccinated in the same place was a bit longer because ppl are coming to get their first dose,thats a good thing.Remember you have a choice!

2017-05-28Such a necessary and important part of our community! My sister and many other kids in the neighborhood love coming here to focus on their homework and discover new books to read. The place is quiet, and the staff are friendly and helpful. While the selection does leave something to be desired, I attribute this to the fact that the place is newly renovated and reopened; surely over time new materials will be added to their collection. I truly love this library! I cant imagine the neighborhood without it.
