My go to stop every time I go for a stroll nearby. Great selection of books and quirky zines. Love their vibe.
Walked by the bookstore only to see extremist literature being featured heavily. Unacceptable.
Helpful staff, friendly atmosphere, wide selection. The front desk clerks helped us find several books we were looking for, and even made great recommendations for my kids. Wish we had a place like this back home!

Wonderfull and unique bookshop! I really felt at home immediately.Great atmosphere, cool music and a dutch, punky flavour!Steven is a great guy who loves to give you advice. Didnt get one of the zenes yet, but his catalog is something to discover. Great books on music and a lot poetry as well.Great to hear hed spent 19 years in Amsterdam. Great socially conscious shop for books, art, gifts, everything. They also accept donations for the Free Stores initiative from North Brooklyn Mutual Aid.
I was overjoyed when this bookstore opened. I love buying gifts at Quimbys Bookstore NYC--both extraordinary books and fascinating objets darte. I got a birthday girl collage prints and vintage theatre programs--and got two other people a illustrated book about B Movies. YOU can even make insect dioramas at workshops there. What a treasure in our citiy where so many interesting places are replaced by chain stores.

This shop is adorable and the owner is a delight. Every item in the store was obviously chosen with care. Its a great place to find a gift for the unique and inspiring people in your life.
One of the best bookstores in NYC. In addition to new and important works in gender studies, critical theory, postcolonial/decolonial studies, and other subjects, Quimbys offers a unique collection of zines and enamel pins and other art swag. The staff is lovely and knowledgable. A gem in a great location.

Eclectic, obscure items, intriguing,vintage medical photography, ZINE, cool vibe, great music, come look and buy... next door is a comic bookstore... great cards and cool owner!

With all the folks that work in fashion living around... youd think one of these places would dig some cash out of our pockets with a lil nod to our tastes...HEAD TO BEDFORD...otherwise a cute shop and cute selection.

Love this little Williamsburg Zine made by the owner so fun and educational! Seriously the cutest bookstore in Williamsburg loved it.

2020-09-01I stumbled upon this place by accident & I was not disappointed. This place is a mix of books, divination, taxidermy, medical posters, and plenty of other unique items. The owner was friendly & I even found myself an already mounted sunset moth hiding in the corner of a display (which I obviously purchased immediately). This place is definitely worth a visit.
