1/22/21 first visit for lunch today. Restaurant does ask for vacation proof. We were greeted by Marina who is an exceptional person and server. The ambiance makes you feel like you’re at home or transports you to a Caribbean island with the music, food and people. We loved everything here and will recommend to our family and friends. Our thanks to Marina the staff and the cooks👍❤️

Large space to take in Dominican dishes for breakfast. Lunch or dinner. Attended by gently hostess-waiters. In Mexican Barrio at Queens Dominican Republic for $10 “4 golpes” breackfast special, or $30 “ Picadera de camarones” for lunch . Coffe or beer drinks avaliable , all day open. Delivery available.

The server was welcoming. However, the music was very loud and explicit (Bad Bunny) granted, it was a little after noon, this music is not meant for children, or a family oriented establishment. The beef stew was a few hours away from spoiled, yet I ate it because I asked for the special. Only to then get charged for a full dinner because She said the special is half the size of what I got which in that case must come in a cup, and a very small salad which I never asked for. I shouldve known better but My partner was craving Dominican food in a neighborhood not known for that. Theres dozens of great food all over the neighborhood.

I was so excited to try this place because I’m Dominican and in this area it’s usually south-american centered food. I was sooooo disappointed in the whole experience. I got the lunch with the baked chicken. The chicken is so dry and bland that i could not eat it, absolutely horrible. The rice is meh, the beans are meh. The only thing that was semi-good were the maduros and the chinola juice. But for almost $20 this was not worth it. Save your money and go somewhere else!!

Please excuse the bad photo but the food was so good I didn’t even get a chance to take a photo before I devoured. I did take a picture of pretty much my aftermath. An amazing place and staff that truly care thank you so much.

Back in the area after a long time away was looking forward to some awesome food. This was not it we ordered the roast chicken which was hard like it was cooked several hours earlier . It was dry and hard had been sitting a while and roast pork (pernil) as you can see in the photo it was hard and dry with lots of white fat . Looks like they put it in microwave not fresh at all. Very sad was looking forward to it, the white rice and beans were good along with the tostones they were fresh . They gave us a cabbage salad that was different but nice . The server was friendly but not Dominican. We wont be coming back .
