Quisqueya in other cities:
I was there today and Ordered two meals from the in store menu. The cost of each one was $12 and $13, the water was tap and the bill came out to be $34. I asked the why and they said the price on the menus is outdated. I would not eat here unless you want to get false advertising. The food took long and the portions did not merit the Cost. I am filling a BBB complain. Absolutely unacceptable.
Food is pretty good, but I remember waaaaay back when it was a hole on the side of the block, with some tables inside. You could come by late at night and pick up some take out. Food smelled delicious and you could actually see them preparing your order. I liked that, now I dont really go there anymore, since there is a better restaurant not to far on 103rd.
The food was alright. Could had been better. If you really want some good mofongo, please go to Washington heights, Manhattan! Other then that the service was good and the people were nice. It wasn’t busy when I went and parking was pretty easy to find around the area.
The place is ok and the staff is ok. What was not ok was the PAELLA. The menu picture looks so different that what they give you. The meat portions are ridiculous because they only give us little bits as if they counted each piece of shrimp. It SUCKSSSS. Its a shame that this place do nice but the food not really. Thank you for the service though.
Serving typical Dominican Spanish food you cannot go wrong with this place. Ive lived in the area for my entire life and have been to this place several time considering it is the only place to get a full meal after 12pm. From the Steak w/ onions to the breakfast they serve with Mangu, Fried salami and cheese and eggs it really does cover all the bases.
This place was great!! The Dominican style food was delicious the service was great. They have a wonderful selection of drinks (morir soñando), foods (chicharones de pollo) and the habichuelas con dulce is fantastic. Highly recommended since its a quiet place to have a good meal with the family or for just a couple.
I live in Jackson heights New York and I dont have many Dominican food options available in the neighborhood. I googled and found this place. Food is amazing. Tres leches cake was on point. Not many make a good tres leches. I would have given 5 stars if the place was air conditioned. Its hot in here. But other then that everything was perfect
I have been here for over an hour, they brought my husbands food 20 minutes before mine and i had only ordered a damn sandwhich. We had also ordered two ham and cheese empanadas as appetizers and got two beef empanadas after we had both finished our meals. Horrible place!
I was hoping to get a best mofongo, but the one I got was ok, however I got a piece of metal scrub in it... Sadly, the waitress was so uninterested about it... when finally she asked me what I wanted my husband finished eating, that I only asked for the check... and never got the order of tostones that I had ordered before I found the metal scrub... what a terrible service!!!
Food is delicious and the delivery is quick however the only problem is that they have a rude lady there (dark skin Dominican lady) rude as hell thats why I hate calling or going there . The guy is nice and the other Dominican light skin women . I agree Service needs readjusting .
This place has been here for years well actually it was a few stores down and move to the corner.. whatever seasoning thats used on their food, all I can say it taste amazing.this is one of the best Dominican food restaurants in Corona.. chicharrón de pollo to mofongo.to tres golpes for breakfast.. if you are into Dominican food this is the spot for you I would definitely recommend anyone who wants to try Dominican food in Corona this spot.. you will not be disappointed
First of all we come in sat down waited for 15 mins before menu to much blablabla over at the counter,,,,, the t-bone steak was horrible when i mean horrible taste, hard, dry i also order a orange juice it was bitter i think a lemon tasted sweeter the that i eat here for many years for this they lost a good customer NEVER AGAIN. THATS Y PLACES LIKE THIS DONT PROCESS
This food really hit the spot. I had the rice with beans and lamb chobs. Everything seemed perfectly seasoned. Also the pineapple juice was delicious. In addition, every table was property spaced out so no need to worry about not being socially distanced.(Esp) Everything is seasoned to perfection. I ate the rice with beans and chop. To drink, I ordered a pineapple juice. On top of that, all the tables were far enough apart not to catch the virus.
Honestly: they need a better waitress. The waitress works in a Dominican restaurant and did not even know that it is pernil. I also did not know that we order within 2 minutes after ordering. When the leg arrived, I thought it was a joke. What is left over, pure leather, nothing extra, as if it had served me little ear. Food was passable to say the least
I do not understand why they can not make a delivery that is 8 minutes away, just because the one who attended me did not feel like writing down the order, please the food is good but improve the service because it seems that it no longer they want to work, remember they are customer service. The place revolves around customers not around its employees
Bad attention I went to eat and the waitress Juana told me that if I took a table I had to move if other clients came bad service I complain to the manager and neither case to the clients bad service Juana and the shift manager did not serve they hung up in customer service

2022-01-221/22/21 first visit for lunch today. Restaurant does ask for vacation proof. We were greeted by Marina who is an exceptional person and server. The ambiance makes you feel like you’re at home or transports you to a Caribbean island with the music, food and people. We loved everything here and will recommend to our family and friends. Our thanks to Marina the staff and the cooks👍❤️

2022-03-12Large space to take in Dominican dishes for breakfast. Lunch or dinner. Attended by gently hostess-waiters. In Mexican Barrio at Queens Dominican Republic for $10 “4 golpes” breackfast special, or $30 “ Picadera de camarones” for lunch . Coffe or beer drinks avaliable , all day open. Delivery available.

2022-06-12The server was welcoming. However, the music was very loud and explicit (Bad Bunny) granted, it was a little after noon, this music is not meant for children, or a family oriented establishment. The beef stew was a few hours away from spoiled, yet I ate it because I asked for the special. Only to then get charged for a full dinner because She said the special is half the size of what I got which in that case must come in a cup, and a very small salad which I never asked for. I shouldve known better but My partner was craving Dominican food in a neighborhood not known for that. Theres dozens of great food all over the neighborhood.

2022-05-16I was so excited to try this place because I’m Dominican and in this area it’s usually south-american centered food. I was sooooo disappointed in the whole experience. I got the lunch with the baked chicken. The chicken is so dry and bland that i could not eat it, absolutely horrible. The rice is meh, the beans are meh. The only thing that was semi-good were the maduros and the chinola juice. But for almost $20 this was not worth it. Save your money and go somewhere else!!

2021-09-06Please excuse the bad photo but the food was so good I didn’t even get a chance to take a photo before I devoured. I did take a picture of pretty much my aftermath. An amazing place and staff that truly care thank you so much.

2019-12-07Back in the area after a long time away was looking forward to some awesome food. This was not it we ordered the roast chicken which was hard like it was cooked several hours earlier . It was dry and hard had been sitting a while and roast pork (pernil) as you can see in the photo it was hard and dry with lots of white fat . Looks like they put it in microwave not fresh at all. Very sad was looking forward to it, the white rice and beans were good along with the tostones they were fresh . They gave us a cabbage salad that was different but nice . The server was friendly but not Dominican. We wont be coming back .
