Its 4 am right now been up since 1:30 on a Monday morning I called to complain about people outside the bar when the bar closes at 2 am. Theres a noise complaint form people sign when they get their rooms Id expect the same attitude when we guests call for someone else being inconsiderate (I went down once got laughed at by security .. called twice) having to get up at 5 am to go to work seems unfair
Positive: STAFF WAS GREAT Negative: THE ROOM HAD JUST BEEN PANTED AND THE PANT SMELL WAS SO OVER POWERING. I BECAME SICK FROM THE PANT FUMES. COULD NOT STAY THE REST OF MY RESERVATION OUR ROOM WAS ON THE 4TH FLOOR AND COULD STILL HEAR THE MUSIC IN THE BAR AREA TILL LATE INTO THE EVENING.
Positive: Nothing Negative: Unfortunately there was some type of party in main room that carried over to the floor we were staying on. The noise (loud music, laughing, loud voices, doors constantly closing etc) went to early morning hours making it virtually impossible to sleep.
Room was super clean, the views were amazing and the atmosphere in the hotel made you walk around with a smile. The parking lot is gigantic and within a half mile, you have all of the food you need from tons of different restaurants. There’s even a cigar lounge a few blocks away.
Response from the owner 2 hours agoThank you for sharing your recent experience at Radisson Hotel New Rochelle. We apologize that your credit card declined for incidentals upon check-in and you were unhappy with our cash incidental policy. Upon looking into your reservation, I was happy to see that our front desk was still able to accommodate you so that you were able to check in, and you asked to extend your reservation.Sincerely,The Radisson New Rochelle Team*** The fact that I haven’t mentioned my credit being declined, i appreciate how you share that personal information and posted it publicly for people to see. Unfortunately you forgot to mention that you took my 50$ cash when I checked in on Wednesday but denied the same offer on my second reservations. Instead of trying to accommodate your customers you trying to publicly humiliate me for 50$ which you are in possession of. So you can keep your apologies. My point is you accepted my cash 2 days ago woke up on the work side of the bed and today you don’t FEEL like accepting my 50$ instead you want me to pay 250$
Me and my husband celebrate our anniversary this weekend and we really enjoyed ourselves everyone was so nice and very professional when we checked in they gave us a complementary drink and the room was very clean and the food was delicious especially the breakfast we will definitely be returning there thank y’all for everything blessings
I stayed in this hotel for three nights going into a weekend. The hotel itself was clean and the staff friendly. The problem I encountered was the nighttime noise. The hotel has a bar/club with a DJ going until 2am. If you are staying on the 2nd floor above the bar, be prepared for rattling and music. The other problem was the smell of smoke. There is a small outside lounge area and people gather. If they are smoking, you will smell it in your room. It was so bad, I got out of bed to make sure my window wasnt open.I had a reservation a month prior to staying here but it wasnt until I checked in that I was told my room was above a bar and that they were unable to move me to a different room.Aside form that, the hotel served its purpose. A roof over my head for a few nights.
The hotel was not nearly as nice as one would expect for a $300+ room. When my wife and I arrived the hotel had a nightclub/ disco that was packed with loud music blaring. And the room we got was on the second floor, RIGHT ABOVE the nightclub. So needless to say we got no sleep. And the room itself was dirty and looked like it hadnt been updated since the 70s. I have no problem staying in a cheap hotel if thats what Im expecting, however to pay $300 for a hotel thats on par with a Motel 6 is absolutely unacceptable! Never again will I book at a Radisson unless its absolutely the last resort.
Two stars because my room was clean and staff was nice. But the music from the club was loud until 2am. I was on the 2nd floor and I complained twice. My friends were on the 4th floor and I still heard the music even with the fan of the AC unit on. In the end, management cares much more about making money from the bar over the comfort of its patrons paying $150-$200 a night. If you are a heavy sleeper or dont mind drinking a bourbon to get to sleep, this place is for you. I will not be coming back.
Positive: The staff was very nice. Breakfast food was good. Negative: Too noisy with the Club located off the lobby. Bathroom very small, the door is only about 5 from the toilet. Walls too thin, could hear the room next door very clearly, too clearly. Pool wasnt opened. No breakfast during the week.
Very nice buildings. Rooms are great, clean and very comfortable. Unfortunately the customer service is extremely poor. We had no towels or wash cloths and had to call more then once because they took forever to bring these basic items. The staff could use major improvements before I’d recommended or give more then 3 stars. A second visit is highly doubtful.
Spacious room , comfortable beds ands looks to be well staffed. Parking was easy and checking in was courteous. Easy to find and looks to be nearby nicely rated local restaurants. The area felt safe and clean. Accross the street there is a well stock has station/convenient store for drinks and snacks. There is a restaurant on site but have not tried it. The fitness room has a machine and a few cardio machine using your room key to enter. The wifi is adequate enough to stream YouTube videos and complimentary. The upgraded RFID key is nice as it doesnt get erased by your phone.Ive stayed here two time and have no complaints. Definitely would stay here again.
You really only stay here out of necessity. The rooms, carpeting, hallways, elevators, etc are run down, weird smells, and largely neglected. The ‘2 bed’ room is essentially just 2 single beds. The restaurant attached has decent food with outrageous prices for drinks (plus will add a service charge for a group and then still ask for a tip). It’s close to a lot of wedding venues so that’s why you stay there, but don’t expect much.
Very disappointed in my recent stay. My room rate included breakfast but when I checked in I was told with no empathy the pool isnt open and neither is breakfast during the week. This was not mentioned when I booked my reservation though I see it online now... Everytime I stopped at the desk I felt that I was imposing and they didnt seem very friendly. My fridge had a wet puddle basically in front of it the whole time I was there. I didnt even bother calling since they were so dismissive of anything else I asked about.
Positive: Good bar and restaurant. Great service. Friendly check-in and easy check out. WIFI is automatic and it works always. Rooms are consistently fresh and have everything that I need including very comfortable beds-pillows, room temp controls Negative: Towel service is inconsistent
Positive: Less costly than CT and NYC hotels, yet minutes from needed locations by car or train. Bar and decent restaurant in house. Quarter mile off the highway at exit 16. Great restaurants for business meetings or social outings in New Rochelle. Try Marias Negative: No, it has been my chosen hotel for 5 years in that area
My bridal party and I checked in on a Thursday, and then my husband and I on Friday, after our wedding. The service was great, the rooms and bathrooms were super nice and clean. The staff was very accommodating....from the front desk, housekeeping, to security. Everyone there made our stay enjoyable. Would definitely stay there again.
A nice hotel with reasonable rates and a staff trying very hard to please their guests. They are located in a plaza with other professional businesses, there isnt breakfast of any kind available during the week as their hotel restaurant is closed. Right now, their pool is closed too and while we stayed the business center was closed and although they had wifi, it was an open network. The hospitality staff were very nice, the room was clean and there was a small refrigerator in our room. No microwave, but I can do pretty well heating up a bagel or making quesadillas with an iron and non-stick aluminum foil. There is a Cuban take out place within walking distance but youre mostly surrounded by car lots, so theres no good view. Were not unhappy with our stay.....the hospitality is genuine.
The room was very comfortable, bathroom was on the tiny side. Need tighter security on guest with the party room downstairs. Smelled weed from one of the other guest staying on the same floor as us. Change these things and your establishment will not go down the drain. By the looks of it certain guest think they can do whatever they want.
Sheik hotel with various conference spaces and ballrooms. Friendly staff and convenient location. Parking scarce if you come on busier nights like Friday. Clean bathrooms and exquisite catering. On Saturday, September 25th, 2021 Larry Sharpe appeared here to address supporters….
First of all my I had to stay for 5 days my mom was in the hospital. The room was a basic room 2 beds a nightstand desk fridge safe check in was ok. One night after returning from the hospital the room had not been touch. The next day I spoke to housekeeping who let me know she didnt really speak English but she would clean the room. She cleaned the room but she left wash cloths and hand towels nothing else Im grateful that the room was clean but a bath towel would have helped us alot. I actually think the housekeeper was a little upset that I told her that there was a pair of socks from a previous guest in the towel holder. I dont think she liked that.
I enjoyed my stay at the Radisson for 4 days. The staff was very professional and helpful especially Jheda at the front desk. My bed was always made, amenities always restocked and bathroom was always cleaned when I got back to my room without having to request or say anything.
Beautiful clean rooms with sound proof walls blocking out outside commotion, Great staff!! Nice sized parking lot and in walking distance to stores and fast food. However like previously posted reviews as soon as you walk in to check in it reeks of a pot shop and there arent any microwaves or alarm clocks in the rooms...all together though great place and would return.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Marie went above and beyond to accommodate all my requests. Looking forward to staying there again. The restaurant, Noma Social, had to be hands down the best food and atmosphere of any hotel restaurant I have ever been to. Highly recommended the salmon dish. Absolutely phenomenal!
I need internet for my work. I stayed 2 nights. First night internet kept dropping, 2nd night worse. I called the front desk 3 times and first they wanted to send an engineer to my room, to which I absolutely declined. Then they said he reset the router and give it 5 minutes. 20 minutes later internet keptdropping. I will definitely find a better hotel next trip. ( Im in town for work every month to three months.
Over-Priced and Over-Rated! And lack of Amenities/Accomodations.For 120 Dollars plus it was not that great.Hotel Employee lied to my wife about whether our room was supposed to come equipped with a microwave or not. When we had a fridge in the room but no microwave. And we know what we payed for. Then he brings a microwave at like 1 a.m. and drops it off in front of our door,While we were sleep.Would not recommend.Try to pay family or friends to stay with them,Or AirB&B etc.p.s. if your a big guy like me the showers are a tight squeeze.Have a nice one!
Impossible to find room in high season unless you reserve years in advance. In low season the rooms are available for a song and dance. Despite proximity to MetroNorth, the hotel is insulated from the noise. The ballroom is modernized, but a bit on the smaller side. Strong wi-fi, cramped parking, clean bathrooms and attentive staff.
The front desk staff was extremely professional and accommodating. The hotel was clean and the amenities were satisfactory. The only difficulty we experienced was housekeeping taking towels and not replacing them so daily I had to call and wait for towels to be delivered before my family could bathe. The restaurant staff most mornings left much to be desired as it took quite a while to be served.
I have to give it a poor review, because we couldnt eat the dinnerWe ordered the octupus to start, it was burnt and bland. The paella was sooo soupy and saucy i had to ask the waiter if it was cooked. Chef rivera must have had the day off, or he needs to go back to culinary school. I was looking forward to trying this place out . Huuuggee disappointment
Quality hotel with nice cocktail room. Decor is also very elegant, appropriate for any occasion. A friend held an engagement party here. Service was great, restroom was very clean and great for taking pictures. Only downside is the lighting in the cocktail room, was very dim. Although it provided a nice ambiance, the lighting was not good for pictures.
Very clean, comfortable and accommodating. Theres so much you can do without ever leaving the hotel. A gym, fitness center and classes, comedy shows, bar with happy hour beginning at eight pm. Monday thru Friday. Nice spacious lobby, I love the sofas and carriage chairs, My wife and I didnt stay overnight as we were there for birthday celebration for a friend. They have a number of halls to host multiple events. There seem to be at least three to five events going on Saturdays and Sundays, and last but not the least theres a nightclub!
The hotel was clean, bring your own amenities, hotel club Noma was lit but heard it on the 5th til the morning hrs, had young kids in the room. Smelled weed smoke. Parking was ok for the weekend not sure about the weekday. Sunday brunch potatoes I heard were delicious.
Stayed here a total of 8 days over two trips for work in the area. Was pleasantly surprised that rooms are large and very comfortable. I do wish the tub was a bit bigger, I like to pamper myself when Im travelling. I had room service for breakfast once and it was very good. I also ate at the attached restaurant Noma and enjoyed that as well. Will definitely stay again in the future and recommend to coworkers.
This hotel is stylish, comfy, and above all, clean & safe. everything was perfect at our stay! however, our experience afterwards could have been better; i left a jacket hung up in my room so i called the hotel the day of check out, October 29th, and the man who i spoke to assured me housekeeping had found my jacket and it was there for me. my boyfriend took two trips here (we do not live close by) and he was denied my jacket twice, each time they said they had it but it was locked with housekeeping and they needed to wait for someone with a key to retrieve it. i’ve had multiple phone calls over the past 4 weeks & have left my phone number with different employees looking for this jacket. it was literally $20, i could have just bought a new one, but i was told each time they had it, and i had faith that a nice & established hotel wouldn’t just lose paying customers’ items, no matter the value. today, December 1st, over a month after my stay, i just hung up the phone with a super nice and apologetic employee who was finally being honest and told me it is officially gone. each employee here that i spoke to was really nice, patient, and understanding, so i really appreciate that, i just wish their system for lost & found items was more organized. i really hope no one leaves an item of high value or importance here because it could turn out to be a nightmare.
The room was clean.People were niceDo not drink or put the water in your mouth for any reason from the faucetThe water comes out gray.It almost clears up after it runs for a while but still has a tint of gray in it. Have stayed there multiple times because its convenient and every room has been like that.
This hotel in general has its ups and downs but when you have two excellent people who can assist and address any issue that might arise that makes it worth it in my eyes and my opinion. The manager Trish, always helpful, always ready, always always always willing to make the effort to improve upon any situation. For that she deserves her credit due.My favorite staff member Josennia(hopefully thats how its spelled) always goes out of the way to ensure my stay is comfortable and that I have everything I need at all times. Overall great person from our interactions.Another staff member who should be exemplified is Ms. Paula. One of the few fluent bilingual staff members who make this place shine brighter than it has in the past. I know the unspoken language in America is English but she has all the bases covered even helps out when you dont know what you would indulge in at the hotel. All suggestions are great and meetings are memorable. These three are gems and its hard to find gems like these in the world. Keep them as long as possible and dont let them go they are essential to the hotel !!!
I stayed at this hotel for two nights, and let me tell you the negatives and the positive about this hotel. One negative thing is that they allow pets.Unfortunately, my room was beside a dog’s room and all night the dog kept on barking. I asked for help, however, nothing happened.Management didn’t do anything about the dog so I stayed up all night because of the dog.Another negative thing is the party on the main floor , everyone from the hotel was telling me about the music , and how it disturbed them at night.I, however was already disturbed because of the dog.One positive thing I liked about this hotel is the cleaning staff, they were really nice and offered me things for my room. I was really satisfied with them.
Just a quick one night stay from the airport. Comfy beds. Staff was very friendly. Did use the pool or gym but looked nice. I requested a king bed room for the night and got a confirmation but they were none when I checked in. I would stay here again, hopefully next time they don’t run out of King beds. nice waiting music. Thank you.
Two stars was generous. The walls are thin, the showers unremarkable, and the mattresses rough at best. The location is very convenient however. Also, almost got myself run over by drunk folks in the parking lot, leaving the club. Not worth the 200+ a night price tag.
I cant really give too much detail of the Radisson Hotel. I knew one or two people who lived there. But the only time I went in was when one of my bed friends invited me there for her birthday party. Their lobby was super neat and quiet. We didnt park there that night so Im not sure if they have a car park. It took a while for the elevator to get us up. No sure if this is due to a maintenance issue or if the floors were simply a lot. The very top floor was booked and there was loud music and partying all night.
The rooms are ok. The bed was comfortable. The curtains arent room darkening. It has been updated but a lot of things look like they have just been painted black. I had to call twice to get towels. Room service was an hour late. The shower was small and had a towel bar on the inside which I hit my elbow on multiple times. The bathroom was small. The worst part we asked for a late check out and then they would not honor it.
The two hotel clerks working the night shif needs to be put back through training, they where very rude and disrespectful ill never stay there again because of those two then I ask for two keys sence two ppl are staying in room and they tell me to share the key thy done everything they could to make me mad, pc no pc, it was a African man and woman and the way they acted I thought they just left the jungle. Not to mention the place was way over rated not a very nice hotel I stay in a lot because of work and a choice hotel wouldve been much better
We chose this hotel because it was very close to friends we were visiting. Location isnt the best.. Im not sure youd walk arnd outside at night. Pkg is free & ample as there were very few guests. Entrance is not well marked..weird. Pool is small & right next to pkg lot..no privacy at all (pool is not open due to Covid). They did have a nice, small outdoor lounge w/shade.. but, it is right next to pkg lot (tho a bit more private). Staff was very nice! Place was clean, but it generally felt like it was a slight step up from a motel. No coffee in lounge, nothing extra included..seemed kinda bear bones. Room was clean but just meh. AC worked well, did not stink, and beds were decent. If I had to do again, Id choose a diff place/location.FUN FACT: did you know Radisson is owned by a Chinese comapny?
The location is great right off the highway. And there are plenty of venue and places to eat nearby. The first thing I do when I walk into a hotel is check the shower stall to see if it is clean and It was spotless, the beds were extremely comfortable, I was only there one night and had to leave early in the morning so I didnt have time to ask for room service. But when I checked in the employees were very helpful and attentive. 5/5 would do again!
This place is absolutely horrible. The sinks and tubs do not drain. And do not come here if you want to get any sleep. They have parties all night and blast their music. You ask them to lower it and nothing gets done. And I stayed here the night before my wedding in a bridal suite. You think they would be more accommodating. Unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and pick a different place.
The hotel room was nice and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was really small, though. Also, its a bit difficult to find the building even though its at a pretty major intersection. The building looks like an old apartment complex that was renovated, but only on the inside. the only sign for the hotel that I noticed was at the entrance to the parking lot and not on the building itself.
Regardless of the amenities or the condition of the hotel this Radisson deserves 5 stars for its excellent hospitality, specifically demonstrated by Jr and Maurice. The two employees went out of their way in returning good left in the room after checkout. One of those items happened to have been my husbands watch, returned immediately when we drove back to get it 15 minutes after checking out and the other being a personal organizer. As you can tell this was not a vacation. Anyways, the next day I realized I must have left my planner in the hotel room, which it was and was already waiting for me at the front desk, where it remained safe for almost a month till I picked it up, Im glad i sync my phone and kept a digital calendar and all my info was in the cloud when I needed it.But also when we arrived late in the evening Maurice was able to give us a great rate on a very nice room with a nice bed that was perfect for the night. Room was a nice size with a clean bathroom. Jr and Maurice were easy to talk to through email and helped keep my item safe and returned. What more could you ask for in a hotel than honest employees. As well as nice!
I really enjoyed my stay at the Radisson. Very nice, clean environment with comfortable rooms and excellent guest service. The lounge Noma located right in the hotel had really great food as well as exceptional waitresses. The front desk staff were very nice and professional and very accommodating. One of the front desk agents Nick I believe his name was was extremely nice and attentive to my family & I and showed great compassion and solicitude. Very upbeat personality & can tell he’s someone that loves his job. I highly recommend this hotel & give it 2 thumbs up!
No cleaning done whole dayWhen we reached after the days outing and saw the room not cleaned , the staff came to clean at that time only but we had to get ready for a ceremony and we were disappointed. We were told by the staff that either we get the room cleaned now or we will have to go without cleaning as its their last shift .Since we didnt wanted to be late for our ceremony we opted for the latter ...Which is very very disturbing and disappointing. The only good service we had was from the person at the front desk when we checked in ,his name is Wine he was the most helpful and courteous.Overall will I come back.NoWe do belong to Radisson club and had to stay in uncleaned room .A big NOWill I recommend this hotel to anyoneA Bigger NO
Parking is ample and free. The room was clean with just enough space for 2 people. The beds were the best, it was like sleeping on a cloud! The staff was attentive. The tapas at the restaurant were very good. The pool was clean and properly chlorinated. The location is just a 5 minute walk from New Roc City Cinema and Family Center and 8 minute walk to the metronorth train station which is just a 35 minute ride to NYC.
All of the Wedding guests for my daughters Wedding stayed at The Radisson in New Rochelle this past weekend. And all were treated like royalty. The rooms were great, newly renovated. But the best thing was the people - the service in that hotel is fantastic! Warm, caring staff - that cannot be beat! Starting with Debbie (Banquet Manager) who did a fantastic job at our Rehearsal Dinner and Sunday Brunch, and then Serena (Room Manager) who held my hand for months to make sure that we had the right number of rooms. And I have to mention Alda - the loveliest staff member ever! Thank you to all that helped us. oxoxox
While the room was fine, management was a no show. I asked several times to speak to front desk manager about my bill. Left several notes at front desk and several voice mails. I was personally assured that she would call. I even waited at front desk and she was a no show. If this their way of doing business, then Ill be sure to spend my time and my companys time elsewhere!!!
Very unorganized for a wedding reception. Food was brought out too late. Also had people waiting around in the lobby area until they were ready. Reception was supposed to start at 7 and room was not ready until after 8. I have used this hotel before for our family Reunion and everything went well. But tonight this was terrible.I understand your response the fact remains the staff still was not ready at 8 and the food was still late.
Had a work event down stairs. Everything was clean, the bathrooms looked nice and the food was tasty! Workers at the front desk were helpful. The young man that parked my car was very friendly and helped set the mood for the rest of the day!! (I wish I remembered his name.)
Attended a party in the downstairs room. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Food was good. Facilities were nice. Drinks were a little disappointing. Too strong to the point where they were not good. Rum and coke was way more rum than coke. Same with whiskey sour. Otherwise evening was great.
The exterior of this hotel made us very nervous. It is very dated on the outside with office space on the top floors, so we expected the worst when we went inside. We were happily surprised when we got to our rooms and tried the restaurant. The rooms were very nice with Sleep Number beds. I didnt touch the remote for the bed, but I slept wonderfully. It is about a 30 minute drive to NY City, and the train station is just a couple of blocks away if you would rather take the train, which most people recommend. We were going to do so, but we couldnt find a place to park at the station. We probably could have walked to the station, but we gave up and just drove in. We ate breakfast both mornings in the hotel restaurant and enjoyed both days. I would definitely recommend for a short visit to NY.
Wish I could give this place zero stars very unprofessional event managers, called multiple times left my name and number never received a call back. Stopped in since I was in the area to maybe speak with someone waited 20 minutes after the kind person at the front desk called someone to come down
Not impressed really. Area was okay, but parking is misleading. Go to the front of the building. Views are horrible. Pool was basically in the parking lot. Nice restaurants nearby. Very expensive one on-site. We opted for McDonalds for breakfast. Probably wont return as very expensive with little amenities.
I spent one night here and it was very beautiful the bed was very soft and clean the blankets in the pillows are very soft they had room service as well the bathroom was a bit small for the size of the room the view was nice my only downfall with the hotel would probably have to be my experience with their food. I went to their lounge restaurant and I was with three other friends so we all ate together the service was friendly. I ordered a chicken wrap my other friends ordered a pizza and a chicken dinner and a steak dinner I can say one thing the food did not look appetizing at all it just wasn’t pleasing to the eye but my friends enjoyed their food, I did not. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap with bacon avocado lettuce and tomatoes and a side order of french fries. When I got the wrap it was clear that it was very dry the chicken was very dry the fries were freshly made the fries were very delicious and they also had a spice email was just also very good, but the chicken inside of the wrap was so dry it looks as if it was underneath a heat lamp for a few days it was not appealing at all. My friend steak dinner he enjoyed it very much he got it medium . They also have a pool access I was not able to partake in it but I would definitely come again and I would definitely try a different food item on the menu
Convenient for the New Rochelle wedding venues, but that’s where it ends.If you make it past the large crowds of drunk people outside the hotel ... don’t worry, you’ll find more of them in the lobby. And once you get to the room, good luck getting to sleep. The noise coming from the club in the lobby is unbearable. We booked a block of rooms for our wedding, and several of our guests immediately checked out & opted for long, expensive Uber rides home when they realized it would be impossible to sleep. Even from our room up on the 6th floor, we could hear it loud & clear. The building was shaking, and the walls & AC unit were vibrating until 3:30 in the morning. Then, it was at least another half hour until the loud, drunk crowds cleared out from in front of the hotel. Not a pleasant way to end our wedding night at all.Again, convenience is the only plus. Otherwise, avoid it if you can.
Had a real great time coming here for a friends birthday. You have to go to the Mona Lounge. Its always a good time and good atmosphere. The servers are really great and they are really in point with the drinks. So far, the times I have gone, the DJ has always played great tunes and they range from 80s to today. They play all types too from pop to rock, youll find it all here.
The room was great but the customer service was not so good. We asked about late check out when we arrived, they told us the latest would be 1pm and to call the front desk later that night. We did, they said to call the next morning after 8am. Again, we did and they told us the latest we could check out was 12pm that day. Then at 9:30am of the next morning, house keeping opened our door without knocking.
This hotel put us on an air mattress in a room without a bed, despite being a part of a confirmed wedding block. We were treated rudely when we asked for compensation for the difference in what we booked vs what we were provided. Dont use this property for your wedding, if you can avoid it.
The stay was ok. Room had a funky smell (I think someone smoked in it and they used chemicals to cover it up) and the water was cloudy for the first few seconds you turn the tap on. The maintenence guy they sent up told us that was how the water is (?) in the area. The front desk staff was prompt and courteous, but the maid staff kept forgetting things (please replenish tea) and were really pushy to clean your room (never knocked, just came in, even at 8:30 am). The beds were atrocious - - whomever thought a sleep number bed was a good idea needs to rethink themselves. Every time my husband would move, I would move. It was awful. They had a moderately fair price, which is why I gave them 3 stars, but I doubt Id stay here again.
The check in area is really cute. The reps checking us in were very polite n curtious. In the evening we went downstairs to have some drinks. The tapas are really good, the bartenders were on point with the drinks, and the dj was pretty good. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.
What a fraudulent dump of an operation. If I could give zero stars I would. Where to begin, first don’t plan on getting any sleep if you stay on the second floor on a Saturday night as the club downstairs can be clearly hear. Second, if you do (rightfully) complain they are likely to fraudulently allege room damage against you as retaliation. They will not show you any documentation of this supposed damage (because it does not exist) but their general manager will be sure to cower in her office rather then receive your complaint over the phone. They will expect you to just take their word on damages after continuous mistreatment. You are far better off sleeping in your car then this hotel.Update: In response to the bellow reply, comping peoples rooms does not make up for the fact you are deliberately selling rooms on the second floor which you know to be not suitable for sleeping. While you are free to reserve such evidence it is poor form as a business to expect customers to pay for damages you will not even offer to show happened (one should not have to start a law suit for this basic form of decency).Update 2: situation was resolved in my favor through the credit card used because the charge was so obviously nonsense.
Given room above nightclub without any warning of just how loud it would be on weekend nights-- the base was so loud objects in our room were falling off shelves. The room was literally uninhabitable but staff refused to move us to a different. Very disappointing, at times infuriating customer service experience. There are a number of other hotels nearby, pick one of those instead.
Very clean luxurious place that is kind of comfortable. However none of the bathrooms have changing tables so you have tochange your baby between the sink while the baby moves around the automatic soap dispenser goes crazy. Thats the only reason why its not a five star rating.
I am currently staying in this hotel. It is 1:26am and I am online, writing this review.... does that seem strange? Well, I would love to be sleeping instead, but since my room is directly above a NIGHTCLUB with pounding bass that I can feel laying in bed, Im awake. Came here to stay because we had a wedding nearby. Thought we would be coming back to a quiet room after the wedding ended to get some rest and relaxation, and that was when, at 12:30am, that we found out that this was the situation. Called the front desk, wondering why on earth this wasnt disclosed to us and asked to be moved. The associate told me that there is a procedure in place to alert guests what part of the hotel they would be staying in but he could not tell me why mit was not followed. Then I was told there are no other rooms available. He said I could talk to a manager in the morning as there is not one here now. So essentially, we paid for a place to shower and be irritated in. It would have been a lot cheaper and less frustrating to make the hour and a half drive home instead... and probably would have gotten a little sleep too. Extremely poor customer service, there should be some kind of consideration for the guests paying to sleep here.... not telling the guest at check in that their room is above a nightclub and offering another option is inconsiderate and frankly unacceptable.
We came to New Rochelle on 1.11.20 for a wedding. The Radisson was one of the recommended hotels do to closeness to the wedding facility. Our families had a block of rooms on floors 2, 3 and 5. It was a bumpy check-in which only was the start to a long horrible night. The hotel had overbooked. But more importantly no where during the booking or check-in did any staff mention the fact that apparently every Friday and Saturday there is a rave party that would turn the hotel into a traffic jam, drug distribution center, fire hazard and wall shaking disco all at once. The Radisson sponsors a drug riddled out of control party that goes on until after 3AM on Friday and Saturday nights. The worst part is the lack of disclaimer to hotel guests. This was like being hit be a tidal wave after attending a beautiful wedding.Id like to bullet some of the evening:Upon returning to the hotel around 11:30 the parking lot was so backed up that the cabs and limo we were in could not enter even the furthest point in the parking lot.No one was in the lot directing the ma hamNo security was controlling the hundreds of partying patronsAs we walked up to the front door standing on the side walk within five feet of the door was a person offering weed and molly. This was at the front door of the hotel. He was acting as the concierge. The smell before entering the hotel was so strong with cannabis that you could get high. This smell and smoke went from the basement where the party openly had drug use everywhere all the way to the fifth floor. Every room we had rented was smothered in the smell of a raging party. There were what seemed to be an extremely dangerous level of party goers all very ramped up to dance. No security was seen. The walls, windows and floors of every floor of the building shook to base of music in the basement. There would be no sleeping until this regular event was shut down at 3AM.The front desks answer to any complaint was that this is what they do. It wasnt there problem that we were unhappy. In talking about a refund we were told not and chance. The supervisor even told us to call the main headquarters because they to would support this as an approved regular event. So I would like to recap. If the Staff of the Radisson at New Rochelle are accurate? The hotel is approved to have events that violate the state drug laws, fire safety laws, City code enforcement on occupancy and safety, NYSLA and DABC laws around distribution consumption and safety in establishments servicing and licensed to serve alcohol. The staff were so caviler about how normal these events are that you have to wonder about the Radisson corporation and the New Rochelle Police. It would not take an under cover officer more the 5 minutes to spots 50-100 people openly doing drugs in an usafe and over capacity environment. None were seen.I am well traveled. I support legalization of cannabis. But this was about throwing all and everything a 4-5 star hotel stands for out the window, so a drunken drug induced few can have a place to party. And party they did. We sat up until after 3AM slept for 4 hours and promptly checked out after walking over sticky lobby floors and dining area floors. I would not have touched food after seeing this event. There was no manager to speak with. The Supervisor to me to look up the corporate office information if I wanted to complain.DO NOT STAY AT ANY RADISSON HOTELS.
The hotel was recently renovated so our room was nice and I got a good nights sleep in the beds. The staff at the front desk were helpful, and parking was free. You could tell that the building was a little older from the outside but that didnt impact our stay. I would stay here again if I visit this area.
Nice rooms but if youre staying on the second floor during the weekend dont even bother trying to get some sleep until the bar downstairs closes. the speakers are so loud and came through the floors and when the front desk was asked to turn it down they blamed it on the dj and said they couldnt do anything.
Recently hosted my birthday party at the Radisson hotel, it was a success. Both ladies in the event planning office are extraordinary! They are both professional and so nice. It was a pleasure to work with them, they made everything seamless. I will definitely host another event at this location. Thanks ladies.
I made a reservation through Travelocity and went to this hotel w my wife. After a great night out I wanted to bring my lady to an awesome establishment. When I got there to check in I was initially helped by two women at the front desk and what seemed to be the security a young mouthy lady. As I tried to sort my issue out with check in, the young lady accosted me and was rather condescending saying that she can have me kicked out and security would handle me as per her words. After about a good half hour, with little to no answers and a ten percent off offer I was thoroughly disgusted with the level of customer service I was given w mostly a “take it or leave it” attitude concerning my issue and then I had a “security guard” w party clothes on come and tell me if I didn’t have a room to get out. This staff is horrendous only one out of the four ppl that handled the situation was cordial and respectful. I do not suggest anyone intending to be treated like a paying customer should go here expecting great customer service because this situation was mishandled through and through.
The hotel and staff were great. However, it was a Friday night and the club downstairs was in full swing. I had to try to go to sleep at midnight hearing the bass thumping and loud people in the parking lot. (We were on the 2nd floor.) It sounded like there was a sneaker in a clothes dryer outside our room. We were woken up at 3:15am by an argument in the hallway that I had to call security for. I was woken up an hour later by loud people in the hall, and again for the same thing another hour or so later. More soundproofing between the room & the hallway would be nice.
When u buy food they changed u double w for breakfast I cant belive they make me pay 70 dolar on just a breakfast when the Manu is different . plus they will change u for an extra cup.😱😈and than the breakfast is too low quality. They fill up the plate with bread and forgot some of the things they charge u for and say they forgot and put it on the bill and than they say they never charge for it . and charge it twice . and I see the bill say they already change for it but I dont want no problem or call the caps so I just let it be. Let it go. Too much money for that hotel with cheap quality. Plus my friend her husband pay for hotel included with free breakfast but. My friend have to go all the way to the receptionist because there was no sigh of they have plan to give us the money back they money 5hey already charge free breakfast and than charge us 70 dolar extra acting like the breakfast are not include and charging extra money for cheap plate huh😈
This looks more like a hotel for business people, at least to me. We go here to attend business events primarily. Good and sufficient parking space. You can also go here via the train, which works thankfully, and its a short walk. Inside, the hotel looks clean, neat. It doesnt appeal much to my eyes though on the outside.
My husband and I attended a wedding this evening at this Radisson hotel in New Rochelle, NY and we really enjoyed ourselves. The host and staff were very pleasant and attentive throughout the reception with the exception of one server whos name I did not get, unfortunately. But overall we had a great experience and were looking forward to staying overnight at this location very soon!
The Radisson completely surpassed my expectations. The staff were efficient and very friendly upon check in and provided a great deal of information about the property and amenities. The property is well maintained. It was easy to get to from the city and provided a nice place to end our evening.
12:30am and the music from the restaurant is causing stuff to shake in my room and keeping my child awake. If you want a quiet night, don’t stay on the 2nd floor.Good price for the area.Music is still bumping and it is now 12:45am...2nd floor near elevator (if you want to check the standards again) Also, lay your head on a bed while it is on.300 nights a year, and only one other hotel has been this loud in 10 years...: EDIT :I understand what you’re doing, but when someone walks in with a 9 year old and you know it is loud enough that people are complaining. Strongly suggest moving them to another floor and keeping the patrons going to the “Club” reserved for the second floor. It is loud, my kid can sleep through a train wreck... ;) but was complaining about the noise...
Don’t even know where to start. Just ending with this. Two checks worth almost 12k was stolen from me out of my purse and it didn’t even belong to me. I was holding it for my man. Just know whoever went in my room and took it is goin to jail. As for the hotel, SPEECHLESS and not in a good way.
I had my wedding on May 18th at the Surf Club on the Sound. I needed a block of rooms for my guests to stay. I worked closely with the staff either through email or phone to get everything situated. The staff was easy to work with and answered all my questions! The hotel was convenient to get to from the Surf Club and my guests enjoyed Noma Social for the after party!
We reserved a double room in July for two couples. When we arrived the front desk receptionist said the room was not available. They told us they would bring an air mattress up so 4 people wouldnt have to share one bed. After 30 minutes nobody from house keeping came up. I went down to the front desk and had to get blankets to sleep on the floor after flying from North Carolina. They did not even discount our room because they said we had checked in too late, 10pm. This same situation happened to several of our friends, who had all reserved rooms for the same wedding. Im laying here on the floor as I write this, I wish I could rate this 0 stars.
The room was nice. Its the first Radisson Hotel Ive been to that had a refrigerator. The shower and restroom was very modern. Great room experience, but thats where it stops. They have a bar and lounge located on the first floor across from the front desk. They did not warn us about the noise it produces or the length of time that it carries on for. We checked in at 8 oclock music started at around 9 and didnt stop until 2:30am! Like I said the lounge is on the first floor our room was on the 4th floor and we heard the music crystal clear.
The clerk apologized for us having to wait for check in but that was nothing compared to the day of travel and waiting at the airport for delays. She gave us free drink coupons for the NOMA Restaurant on location. She was sweet! Actually any staff we encountered was very friendly, and most everyone in New Rochelle were polite, friendly people. Our room was HUGE and very clean! The bed was very comfortable and firm. Bathroom a little small but everything was very contemporary style and newly remodeled. Loved the faucet and sink! Free Wi-Fi, and free parking. We were able to walk to stores, Monroe college, and restaurants in the downtown area. The only negative issue was our room faced the front/ patio area and people were outside at 2 am and they were loud.
I have enjoyed many different events through the years both professionally and personally until my first overnight stay at the hotel this past weekend. Everything was great until check out the next morning when 1. the elelatavtors were not working and 2. I accidentally left a personal item in the room and didnt remember it until later that evening. I immediately called the hotel and was informed that basically there was nothing they can do. I asked if they could check with Housekeeping and look in the lost and found to see if my personal bag was left. Long story short, I had to escalate the issue to the Manager of the Hotel. The Manager of the Hotel, his name is Louis, was very uncompassionate, unapologetic and simply not professional. He got very angry when I mentioned that maybe he should double check with the HouseKeeping Staff!! He also blamed and questioned me sarcastically about how maybe I didnt leave the item in the room and that I could have dropped it in the elevator...smhBottom line is, never leave any personal items behind because you will not be treated nicely if you do. And if you bring it to the attention of the Hotel Manager, be ready to go back and forth, up and down to get your point across. I never recovered my lost items but I will not stay at this Hotel ever again!!!
I have always loved this hotel over twenty years until now. NoMa, the restaurant has gone down hill fast. The food was terrible. In addition, we had to wait 45 minutes to have our remote control fixed when we checked in. There was a review from the New York Times stating the restaurant was open until 10:30...when we got downstairs to the bar/restaurant we were told the kitches was closed at 09:55PM. We were upset and ordered two cocktails. Then we watched them serve two fresh pizzas right in front of us. We asked the bartender if she could get then to make one for us since we started drinking. She still said no. We were so hungry we did not want to keep drinking alcohol, so we left. We told the front desk and then the kitchen manager came out and offered the pizza. We were on our way out the door and just pissed. The only food that was good was the breakfast. They got the order wrong twice, but at least it was edible. The staff was a bit abrupt. Too bad I will never stay here again. I used to love this place.
Booked a room for a family wedding under the block of rooms. Everything was ok until we came back from the wedding and we were supposed to get a drink in the hotel bar. There is no bar it is a night club. The lobby and parking lot had people all over it. We went in to get a drink and the place stunk of vomit and weed. We couldnt stay there much longer so we went up to the room on the second floor. Getting off the elevator the whole second floor stunk of weed. It was so loud and the room was vibrating from the night club. Went down to talk to the front desk employee and he said he couldnt help us. We asked to file a complaint and he said he would write it down. We stated we could not sleep here with the noise and wanted a refund, he said he didnt not have the authority for that. We ended up leaving because it was that bad.Called the next day to speak with someone about this situation. There was no complaint filed. The man I spoke with at the desk simply said you occupied the room so no refund. I stated I know I had the room before the wedding but the whole point of the room was to sleep in after the wedding and we were unable to do that. Just kept giving the same response with an attitude like this situation was my fault. On top of all this I did not feel safe at this location. There were all random people in the lobby and parking lot from the club. The hotel elevator does not have key card access, so anyone can come up to any floor whenever they would like.
I will Never Ever EVER stay here again ! . first of all The bathrooms dont have fans in them , this particular hotel in New Rochelle has a restaurant inside and the restaurant was having a Super bowl party and there wasnt any parking spaces available at 6 pm and one of the hotel front end persons told me to go park at the pizza hut parking lot . 🤔 I was shocked that he even part his lips to say that to me ! I paid $362.45 and you dare tell me that !!!
Rooms were clean with modern furniture.NoMa (the in house restaurant) has a great Mediterranean style menu with many American style choices among the tapas and entrees. The purple haze wheat beer on tap was great, if youre a fan of blue moon its going to be a new favorite.10/10 stay and I would stay again in a heartbeat.
Dirty as heck bathrooms (Dont Ask!) With no overnight maintenance team!? Annoying dancers at the nightclub every week. Not enough study space, too much smoking (Not a fan!). Customer service wasnt too bad, the clubs security guard was annoying with his dog bark gag! (If youre scared of or allergic to dogs then you might feel uncomfortable with that gag). The only reasons why this gets a 2 is because of the many vending machines included with reasonable prices. Sometimes the club gives out free cake to visitors.
The hotels first floor is beautiful with very clean finishes. HOWEVER, if you are traveling for work I would advise you to steer clear. They have a club on the first floor that you will not only hear but FEEL until 12-1am. We had a big meeting Friday morning and were woken up multiple times. I called down to the front desk and was told “they should finish up soon, would you like me to send up earplugs”?!?! At the cost of the hotel I should not have to result to ear plugs in order to go to sleep. We would have rebooked with the Residence Inn down the street had it not been 12am. This was a first and last for me. At the very least, they should place those on business trips or work events at a higher level knowing the sound control issue they face.
Radison hotel is a option if you have no other. Its a old office building turned into a partial hotel. They did a not so good of a job hiding it. The rooms are o.k The bathrooms are small with clear shower doors and a large mirror. My room had a mini fridge , wish I knew that before checking in. I would of bought in my favorite drinks since Im a night owl. They offer breakfast for a additional $1 which seems silly to charge a $1 just say its free. I just wish they would automatically add a additional.$ 1 to your bill just in case anyone wanted breakfast. It just seemed a bit cheesy to ask for a $1 for breakfast. I went down to the lobby bar to get breakast but I think you can order room service. The parking lot is really not that big since they are sharing the other side with a actual office Building. I would hate to see how parking would be if they had a event. You have to be careful were you park there are tow away zones. Theyre is a front and back entrance. The back entrance leads you to there mini gym and mini work station with computers. If you need anything printed you have to go up front. Sometimes the front desk staff will go ghost on you and not be at there station for like 5 minutes.
Hotel staff is incredibly rude and unhelpful. Stayed two nights due to my sisters wedding and it was the most miserable hotel experience I have ever encountered. Incredibly loud and the night club basically has no separation from second floor rooms so its impossible to sleep. Spoke to the most condescending manager who was appalled I would complain about the noise (and even told me I should have stayed at the Renaissance Inn down the street instead...). Tried to reach the GM Colby, but at this point its clear shes not going to call back. Even called corporate for help and they were unable to do anything. What a joke.
Check in was quick and painless. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were no controls for the air system, but it rattled. Needed to remove the grate to stop the noise. There was an iron and board but the board was half size so I needed to do my ironing on the floor. There is a USB power block built into the desk but it didnt seem to work, luckily I brought my own charger.Free unsecured wifi is provided.Bathroom was bright and clean. No toothbrush or toothpaste is provided. No bathrobe. 3 large bath towels, a floor towel, and 3 face towels provided.Alarm clock speaker with aux cable line in included, very happy about that because many places have the iPod compatible speakers with aux input, but non iPhone users are usually out of luck.Did not use TV or room service.Coffee maker with coffee pods in the room. When I arrived the package of decaf coffee was already ripped, good thing I dont drink decaf.Ample parking space.Breakfast brunch was limited but good quality, including an omelette station, waffle maker, fresh fruit, oatmeal, sausage, bacon, and home fries. At night the restaurant/bar NoMa turns into a club with a DJ.Overall definitely enjoyed my stay, would recommend.
This is going to be my new hotel/home away from home/vaca spot! Location is Great! Shops and restaurants are within walking distance, the bar in the hotel serves breakfast and dinner. Theres an event every night at the hotel bar, and the drinks are very well made with mucho alcohol.Ive been there twice in 6wks. And I will be back whenever the need arises for me to be in that vicinity. The one negative will be that they have no toothpaste.
Worst hotel experience of my life. Was there for a wedding last year and almost every aspect of the stay was terrible. The non-smoking rooms were smoky, the noise was horrendous and the place was filthy. On the plus side, the guy making the omelettes was very kind. After we left, Radisson sent my wife an email soliciting feedback. We filled it out, and got some really passive aggressive comments back from the GM, Colby. Its as if she was angry that we were replying to the email that her organization asked us to reply too. In the year that has passed since then, weve twice told friends and colleagues who were considering a stay there not to go. Colby has made it clear that shes the mayor of crazytown and is impervious to criticism. But it doesnt have to be crazytown. It could really be a nice hotel. Maybe the guys who make the omelettes should run the place.
If it was possible to give this hotel less than one stars I would don’t waist your time or money very unprofessional staff, lack of customer service, so disorganized with people that lack experience in just generally caring about how they treat people. The front desk manager comes out with his paints sagging and his bottom showing. We paid 400 for 2 knights which breakfast was to be included. We didn’t even get a hello and know breakfast served. Horrible experience don’t waist your time or energy at this hotel.
Very kind people work here. It is rare to see such genuine kindness when most customer facing people have to deal with a lot of unkindness directed toward them. The rooms were clean and nice. The only downside is that their is no free breakfast and the location is just so-so.
When visiting my elderly father, both my son and I stayed at the Radisson on several occasions. This most recent stay was to attend the funeral of my Dad, he passed away on 1/26/20, The young man who took care of us upon arrival was very understanding and so compassionate, for which, during a difficult time as it was, was so greatly appreciated and we were both sincerely thankful!
Nice rooms with crippling problems. Most of the room is nice looking and up to date with the extreme exception of the AC unit. The AC unit was old a rickety. It allows all noise from outside to come in, grinds when on full power, and emits a low-key humming noise even when off. Made it extremely difficult/impossible to sleep in the room (even with earplugs). Walls in the room were also extremely thin, able to hear noise from nearby room quite clearly. These two issues destroy the main purpose of a hotel room, sleep. Would not recommend.

2022-05-10Booked this hotel via a 3rd party booking service, and there was a glitch in the app so when we got to the hotel, the rates were different because it was a weekend. Spoke to the front desk attendant about the issue, and while very courteous, they could only lower our rate by $20 that evening based on their rates, which was $100 over our initial booking rate. Since we were from out of state and celebrating our Anniversary, we decided to stay, as we wanted to begin our night of relaxing and quality time. That weekend, there happened to be a big wedding hosted at the hotel, so we ended up across the hall from rowdy guests. Not the hotels fault. Staff was very attentive and professional. The room was really great. Beautiful decor and very clean. We easily got to the train station 5 minutes away and were in Times Square in 40 minutes. The following day, we toured New Rochelle, which was nice, a lot of hand painted murals to see, and a diversity of food choices. Nice weekend get away.

2022-05-19Positive: Close to freeway and very clean and comfortable. Liked 4 pillows on each bed and water pressure in shower powerful and great. Negative: I ordered the Mac and cheese in the hotel restaurant and for like $14 it came in a tiny little dish for a child. Expected more food. Also no free breakfast and having a parking fee in a big lot was unnecessary.

2022-01-09It’s ok. Our room had a door to the adjacent room which basically means we hear every word our neighbor says, not sure why that’s a thing when it’s rare for people to book adjacent rooms. The pillows and comforter are cheap and flimsy, and the heat unit doesn’t seem to follow our commands… so we were cold.It was fine for the price, but I wish I paid more for a nicer place.

2022-03-10Nice clean Hotel.Came to visit my Family in New York & stood there for a week. From the front desk to the women that clean the rooms all friendly & professional! Beds very comfortable.Only thing the Ice machines were Only on the 3rd & 5th floors. I was on the 6th floor so it was an inconvenience.Had a nice bar/restaurant on main floor. Back in my prime I would of liked it better! 😆Lived in Pelham Bay for 58 years, changed to a 3rd world neighborhood now. Couldnt believe it! Filthy & all section 8 running the ole neighborhood. DISGRACEFUL!Anyways Im glad my wife & I stood at the Radisson in New Rochelle, N.Y.

2022-05-14The Hotel rooms and staff were excellent. However, because we were there, for our Sons wedding, in New Rochelle NY, and had enormous traffic, for all of the entire, events, we spent extremely little time, in our hotel rooms, to enjoy.

2022-05-19Positive: The location next to the highway. Negative: We used the restaurant for breakfast and we ordered coffee. The coffee was so bitter that we could not drink it. It was not fresh. We then ordered orang juice. We still paid for the coffee. The AC was very noisy. We woke up every time is started.
