If there was a lower rating I would have been happier. Poor cannot come close to the treatment I received from this arrogant bunch of incompetent pool people.Bought a top of line SPA last year and the installers suggested the easiest option for them (still complained the whole time).Right after installation, the spa started to sink on one side we waited for this year to correct this When we called Rainbow they did come out and look but told us they were just too busy to give us an estimate or fix the issue. After a call to the company about their attitude someone did call back and commit to coming up with a plan to address this and apologize for the previous agent. Well it is 2months later and no call back or help in any way from the company that was eager to sell us the SPA. I had heard horror stories about the extremely poor service but still like deal local when possible. I would suggest if you are in the market for any product that they sell read this and believe they ARE THE WORST ANY COMPANY CAN BE!!!!!!
Their customer service is very poor. When you call in for assistance you get different people with different answers. They do not stick by the product they sell. I would never buy anything from them. Their return policy sucks. Go to Namco its better and less expensive.
A happy customer for over 20 years. They consistenly stand behind their products and service, as evidenced by the on-going quality of our pool and hot tub, and most apparent this weekend, when a crisis was solved under pressure. Rainbows service department excelled themselves to repair our hot tub in time for our event. We couldnt imagine using anyone else!
I called Rainbow in August of 2019 and asked them for a new pool liner. I was told the person in construction I needed to speak to was not there but they will have someone call me back... 3 days later I finally called them back at 10am. I was transferred to a voice mail and I left a message for who I was told was the manager; she didnt call me back until 3pm that day. I told her I needed a new liner and that I was a new customer.... she told me the person I needed to speak to in construction was not available, but she would pass on my information. I didnt hear back from anyone for a week, so I had to call them back again! This time the female I spoke with told me, since it was Septmeber, they probably wouldnt be able to get the liner replaced this year. I said no problem (as we were closing the pool anyway); I asked if they could put me on the schedule for first thing in 2020 and was told the schedule wouldnt be made until 2020, so I should call back then. I called the 1st week of January and went through the same as above.... the person wasnt there; they will call me back; no one calls back; I have to chase them down; etc. etc.etc. Finally today (Jan. 31st) I called and spoke to the person who is in-charge of construction (Liz), and she told me they are booked out on liner replacements until June and I should have called earlier! RIDICULOUS SERVICE! I have never found it so hard to give someone my money! I will NEVER try to use them now or in the future! I dont know what their workmanship is like, but their service sucks!
Rainbow Pools installed our 18 x 38 Vinyl in-ground pool during late 2016 and early 2017. From start to finish, Rainbow Pools made everything surprisingly easy, answered all of our numerous questions, and created a wonderful pool. Living Art Design also did a great job with the patio design and installation. Mike and Elizabeth Todd, the owners, and their staff were all a pleasure to deal with. Rainbow Pools Maintenance Service is also great.
I am a resident and a business owner. Being in business for over 30 years I know what service is....Rainbow Pools provides professional guidance, with courtesy and impeccable follow through in service!!!!!!!!!. I have only been dealing with testing, supplies and parts since my pool was in place when I purchased here in Hopewell Junction...and I am in the trades so handling my own issues is sound for me...Walking into the establishment you are met with a kind hello and the place is spotless and well organized....Friendliness and Cleanliness is what I drive home to my employees daily....that is the case at Rainbow Pools....the staff is constantly wiping clean and organizing the testing area and they care!!! This is refreshing to see.Pool??? For my next home???? Omg! Where do i start? At first it was great, professional and it seemed to be concerns of the outcome and my happiness. this is not my first underground pool. Im from L.I so i have experience. We did NOT want to take a loan so we agree to do 1/3 payments, but what i was decieved into was when the pool was finally in and they back filled with what they use upstate tiny rocks, coincidencely there was not enough. I dont know youve been doing pools for 30 years by now i think you should know how much you need and it should be included in the price, not trying to get another 2,600$ to buy more? When i already spending close to 40,000$. So when i called and spoke to Mikes wife she basically chuckled at me, well we dont finish or do any extra until your paid in full, mind you , i already gave 2/3. And the 6inch gap and the very sharp edges of this steel pool was very, very dangerous to my five kids especially my baby who wanted to sit but couldnt. They had no promblem leaving it like this and i have plenty of photos to prove. I had officer Monoco from hyde park police station take a look and um, with shock that rainbow pool company would leave a pool like that, not only turned him away from purchasing but others too. So i had to purchase on my own the rocks and physically with a shovel back fill it as much as i could to make it least safer i did the steps and front portion of the pool for my kids! but it was very streesful, i had to do to my best ability cushion with duck tape the sharpe edges and i did only six edges because my kids were not allowed to go completely around the pool. I think you really need to do alot more research with rainbow pools. Mike and lisa are wolves in sheep clothing. We have herd other negative things with them just so you know, i never agreed with my husband on this and in the end, Carl said to me, MICKY you were right about them, i wish we went with the other company! Seriously be careful its alot of money and if you have little ones like i do, DANGEROUS. And also i had to get someone else to close the pool.😐

2022-06-07My experience with Rainbow Pools was very pleasant. I had an idea what I was looking for, but Diana went over all the options and helped me order exactly what I was looking for. There was no high pressure and they were willing to work on the price with me. I was kept up to date on all developments with my purchase through delivery. I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a hot tub.

2018-07-17One of the few pool companies that we’ll work with. They’ve done a lot of work on my personal pool, the technician took the time to explain everything and left the work area and pool in great shape. My company works on one of their sites weekly and the work they do is superb!

2021-06-22I requested a quote from Rainbow Pools on fixing an issue with my current inground pool. They came to take a look and said they’d get back to me with a quote within a day or so. I waited well over a week, almost 2, and then I followed up to have them say they can’t take the job because of the type of pool I have. That is fine, but they could have at least let me know so I could move on with another company. Customer service, thumbs down.

2021-07-02DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They Charged me $552.11 for a sham pool opening. When they left, the pool water was swampy, the stairs and ladder was covered in algae. They also left a plug in one of the pipes which prevented me from backwashing the system. I had to call another company to redo everything they did. 24 hours after this other company left, my pool was crystal clear. They told me that for less money, they open the pool, clean it, and also take out pool furniture and clean that as well. When I called Rainbow pool to discuss the bill, the sales person was extremely dismissive, and told me they dont have time to clean pools because they open 600 pools. I also told her she just lost a customer she said OK thats fine. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPAY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!

2021-07-02I called to get a quote for a pool liner three weeks ago. I mentioned I was getting quotes. The woman asked who else I was getting quotes from. I told her the Pool guys was one, she replied, I can tell you we will be the same price, its not worth getting a quote. I told her I heard that as you do not want business and are telling me not to use you. She insisted that wasnt what she was saying. In the end she told me someone would come by that Friday. Three weeks later, no one came, no one called.In reply to Rainbows response: When I asked if July 4th was a possible date for install and you informed me it was not I said that I understood. That is why I went ahead with requesting the quote.An email to me personally explaining anything you say in your reply could have been time spent letting me know you thought I was incorrect and to have made a negative a positive for us both. Instead you let anyone who reads this know you have plenty of business and are not concerned about creating a bad experience.This response of yours says everything about how you conduct business and own any responsibility you might have to do the right thing. It is a blatant we dont care. You could have ignored this, let me rant about my bad time and have my say, and tended to your paying clients with this time, instead you took it as an opportunity to blame me for my bad experience with you. No one makes you leave a snarky reply to a negative review, that is who you are, and what you choose. Congratulations, you went the extra mile with your reply towards earning your 1 star review.

2020-05-23I recently moved-into the area and asked Rainbow to rehab the pool and provide open and close services, as well as regular cleaning and maintenance for the summer. They are efficient, on-time, helpful and they do not push product or service that is not necessary. For me the fact they they immediately respond to calls and emails is a great! However, I am most pleased by the fact their service teams arrive when they are scheduled and are pleasant and work efficiently. I am very happy with Rainbow Pools.

2019-12-05I bought a Hot Springs Hot Tub from Rainbow two years ago and it has a problem with the water feature control. I verified with Hot Springs that what I am noticing is indeed a failure requiring service and a part replacement but Rainbow refuses to admit the problem and or do the repair even though I am under warranty. In addition I waited 8 weeks for someone to come to repair it and then the service manager shows up and leaves in 15 minutes with no explanation. I will no longer do business with Rainbow and warn others strongly to stay away.My response:The part is most certainly broken as I know how it behaved when I first bought the Spa. The water feature spray was fully adjustable from almost no flow to the middle of the spa for over a year of use. This past October it started leaking and your tech came out and put it back together backwards (as you claim) however the problem still exists. It is now a on or off flow only. There is no extensive email chain as there was never an email to me; so that is a lie. In addition, the service manager showed up yesterday unannounced and alone which meant there was never any intention of fixing the spa as I was told it would take 4 people to move the spa and do the job. I was outside in 15 min and he was already gone. I expect that if Rainbow was to honor the warranty and fix my spa they would do so without threatening if they could not that I would be charged for the repair. I would expect Rainbow to absorb the cost regardless the outcome. I got going to trust your tech service when parts are put back together backwards. So I have a 5 year warranty now that is worthless.

2020-08-16Rainbow pools, where do I start.Professionalism would be a great word that describes my experience with everyone I touched based within this great company!With designer Dave on top and of course the ownership but also down to every construction person that walked in and out of my backyard was just a pleasure to be around . Dave is an amazing person. He answered all of our questions and concerns in a timely matter and was always there to provide us with solutions. He really went above and beyond and working with him was such a pleasure.Watching the whole team build this thing out of a lawn was entertaining to say the least!From the first 3D model design that Dave provided for us to the end product that looks stunning we are so happy we went with rainbow pools for our home paradise.I am Also exited that out relationship will continue in future with all services and maintenance that comes with owning a pool, but with rainbow it will just be a fun game.Thank you Dave and Mike fromAurora, Danielle and Nik Romic
