A small park commemorating Ralph Banche, the first United Nations Ambassador to the United States. However, there is the United Nations headquarters building in front of you. Although he is from LA, he happened to walk past his birthplace (preserved), which made me think deeply that the existence of this memorial park is also history.

2020-02-13Were I Ralph Bunche, I might be somewhat dismayed by the dirty stained walls and architecturally suspect obelisk that purported to honor me. At least there’s a good view of the UN building from behind the fenced-off, sickly vegetation.

2019-06-14The best spot to view and photograph the UN building! Nice that they named it after the first African-American to receive a Nobel Peace Prize. Every now and then, theres protests and demonstrations, I guess because of the parks location.
