I Went there last night with my partner and some friends & the Cashier (an older Woman) was very rude. We ordered and asked for the restroom to which she replied for us to go to the parking lott and use the bathroom out there. On top of that when we were paying for our slices she decided it was okay to throw my friends card rather than holding it and giving it to him. The pizza was good how ever my experience with the Cashier ruined it for me & We wont be returning and will tell our friends its not worth the hour drive.
Not the Ralph’s of old. I’ve been a Bayville resident for 35 years. Go anywhere else in Bayville.Asked for crushed red peppers in the sauce before the pizza was cooked. Big problem. They blamed Covid for not honoring my previous orders. Would not make the pizza the way I ordered. Said it was impossible to make because of cross contamination. They had not told me that before. They just gave peppers on the side. Not how it was ordered. Will never go back again until there is a new owner. They are rude. It won’t take long.More to the story but hopefully you will take this warning.
I admire this place! They have first-cleass food, they have a rich menu, The cook in that spot is very experienced, I like very much eating all their dishes. The dishes are always fresh and tasty, the service towards the clients is friendly. I go often to this restaurant and I not even once was disappointed. I highly recommend it.
I try to support local Bayville businesses. I use to eat at Ralphs frequently before the old man died and the family sold it off. Their family took a lot of pride in their business and care for their customers. It was a staple in the Bayville community. It is truly saddening what this business has become.Unfortunately the new owners who took over do not share those qualities. My first experience with them I had ordered a margarita pie(old fashion) Sauce, fresh mozzarella, Basil. They took a plain pie off the counter and spread sauce on top of it. When we confronted them they replied this is how we make a margarita pie. After some discussion they finally made what the rest of the pizza industry considers a margarita.Time went by and my family now normally went to Ninos in Oyster bay(now closed) or Marios in Oyster Bay. I decided to try Ralphs again. The Pie was obviously not fresh and the cheese was of extremely poor quality. Everyone who ate felt disgusting after (like greasy cheese oil was seeping from our pores).Even after that every now and then we fall into laziness and the perception of convenience and try them again. Every time we are met with utter disappointment. You cant even order soda with your delivery without being charged more then double what a 2 litter goes for in any store.Again time goes by and we forget how bad things really are. My wife went to Ralphs recently with my two small children. She called the order in and requested if they could bring the order to the door when it was ready. This was so she would not have to bring the kids into a restaurant during the COVID pandemic. Two women over the phone stated they were very busy (even though my wife could see that the restaurant was not crowded) and that if she was not coming into the restaurant it would be considered delivery and would take much longer. OMG!! She was right outside in her car. When she expressed that they were going to lose a local customer over this they responded Oh Well She ultimately ended up going to Vitos in Glen Cove. I can say with the utmost certainty We or any of my family will be dining at Ralphs again.
The food here is usually good, however the service and pricing, not so much.On 3+ separate occasions the brunette haired woman behind the counter ***purposely overcharged thinking I wouldn’t be paying attention. I called her out on every occasion and she acts aloof, giggles a little and then corrects the amount. One time she tried to charge almost $90 for what was really $50.Buyer beware. Pay attention to the price they charge!!!!I gave them the benefit of the doubt many times. But not anymore. I kept going out of convenience, but not anymore.
I adore this place! They prepare first-rate meals, they have a nice menu, The cook in that restaurant is well trained, I like very much eating all their food. The dishes are consistently of high qualtity, the service towards the clients is very good too. I visit often this restaurant and I not even once was unhappy. I highly recommend it.
The pizza in this place used to be sub-par for New York standards, as the cheese slid off on every slice and the crust was too thick. HOWEVER, the recent change in style has made it a must-have. The renovations in there to make it a more high end experience with wait staff is a huge plus as well. The garlic knots are big which is unique to Ralphs. One of the greatest slices you can get around.
The pizza is decent and they have a wide arrangement of different slices. My complaints are that the it overpriced and the owner can get particularly nasty, this follows through to the employees. The restaurant is midsized and beachy, and you have a nice view of the water.
Awesome place. Their pizza was on point, and the guy who answered the phone was my delivery guy, so presumably a small operation. He commented that theyd been making pizza for 54 years, and I see why. Little slow delivering, but pizza was so good i couldnt dock him a star
Ive been eating pizza across New York for quite a while and this place is one of my all-time favorites. Ralphs and Umbertos of New Hyde Park are the best on Long Island in my opinion, and are up to par with some of the greats of NYC. Especially great in the summer as its right across from the beach.
Went in there to get a calzone ans all I got was an attitude all I wanted was a fresh calzone made actually two of them with ham and cheese and the owners wife or the owner had an attitude they are just not nice people for a small town we live in they should be a little bit nicer

2021-08-11As you can see the pizza was dripping in oil and absolutely disgusting. Worse pizza ever. Along with that the waitress got the salad order wrong and included an ingredient that I specified I was allergic to. Water that they give you tastes awful as well.

2022-06-27Pretty good for the most part, but why in the name of all that is Holy would you put PEAS AND CARROTS IN A BOLOGNAISE?!? I dont know who thought this would be a good idea, but, its NOT. Freaking gross. That and the last time I ordered from here I wanted sausage and mushroom and they gave me sausage and peppers. Just not the same.Edit: I went through the other reviews, and the owner clearly posted their own review (Steven Silipo) on one and badmouthed anyone else with a bad review. Sad to see that Jerrys legacy went down the tubes with these new owners.

2019-08-24Ralphs, a restaurant in Bayville, I have driven by more than a few times. Ralphs sits across the street from a beautiful beach, for residents of the town of Oyster Bay. Order the linguini and claim sauce. Ask the server for Linguini with your claim sauce, otherwise dish served with sphagetti noodles and claims sauce, choice of olive oil with nice size pieces of cut garlic or marinara sauce, 9 medium size claims. Have I tasted better, sure. But, the place setting and interior as a whole reminded me of a country kitchen. The dishes they serve up are different than the usual norm, but delicious, you cant stop eating the dish and the same applies to appetizers and desserts. Tried two slices of pizza, a plain cheese slice and a slice with pepperoni and sausage. I was full and unable to eat two slices. But, I tasted a small piece of the plain slice. My impression, most people argue that its the sauce that makes a good pizza. But, at Ralphs, it seems their focus is bread, cheese and toppings, they do that well, not much sauce on my pizzas, its not bad just different. I also like holding my pizza in my hand as I eat it. But, because of the heavy grease coming off the pizza, I wasnt able to do that. Instead, I had to use a knife and fork . I also, had to request a plate. Up to this point, I had ordered calamari as an appetizer, it was delicious. The calamari is served with a generous portion it could actually be a main course. I had to change the choice of my main course as my friend and server cautioned me about the serving size. Apparently, they were right, I didnt listen. I ordered the appetizer and due to the portion, I was unable to finish my main course, pizza. My friend and I bith originally ordered linguini and claim sauce. Now, that I was just about full. Im glad, I changed my main course to pizza. Unfortunatly, I stumbled upon an issue that proved more challenging than I ever imagined. As I and my friend gazed in amazement, I couldnt believe my predicament. Yes, I was actually struggling to cut into my pizza slice. I never tried to cut into the crust, theres where I would have expected a struggle, not in any of the other areas of a pizza slice. But, I did, it could have been the knife I was using. But, I used it earlier with no problem, it seemed to be the pizza. The dessert more than made up for the struggle. Tiramisu and Cannoli, both desserts do not disappoint in presentation and in flavor, so yummy. Small size with big bite. The plan was to take the dessert to go. But, the Tiramisu, never made it home...LOL.

2022-07-11From the moment we walked in today we were not welcomed. The staff was rude and we were the only people dining in during lunch. The food was average. The top it all off the bathroom is disgusting.

2021-08-03This restaurant is outstanding! The food here was amazing. I had the plain and margarita pizza along with the lobster ravioli. My family and I couldn’t get enough of it. You can tell they use Fresh cheese on the pizzas with a homemade sauce. The lobster ravioli is to die for. All of the food was at a reasonable price. Will definitely be coming here again. This restaurant gets a well deserved 5 stars.

2021-06-24Ive grown up on Ralphs pizza but sadly Ill never eat there again. To be disrespected in another language by the person on the phone thought I didnt understand is appauling to me. Im all for diversity but whoever they hired ruined a lifelong tradition for me. I have no issues w the food, but to be called a slur will not stand for this consumer. Shop at your own caution
