Positive: Location. Negative: Even though it was supposed to be a smoke-free hotel, you could smell smoke throughout the entire second floor. Our room was not clean (there was markers on the ceiling, and garbage still in the room even though it had just been cleaned).
Probably the grossest hotel Ive ever stayed in. The ahole room was dirty. Hadn’t been swept/vacuumed, stains/dirt/hair/bugs all over the room and bathroom. The sheets had not been changed since the last use of the room and were covered in mystery stains and a lot of dirt. When it comes to the outside the place looks like it should be condemned. The lobby actually looked like it wasn’t bad but still. If you are looking to stay here id strongly recommend you stay at one of the other hotels in the area.
Overall, it wasn’t that bad. The room had a faint odor of cigarettes, and the telephone in the room didn’t work. And the remote for the tv didn’t work as well. And the vending machines only accepted credit sales. And the breakfast was disappointing, to say the least. It consisted of fruit cups, granola bars, and pancakes. On the plus side the beds were very comfortable. And their was a nice pool as well.
This hotel is 0 stars!!! Absolutely disgustingly filthy broken down hotel. The whole place reeked of pot and God knows what else, curtains falling off the hooks in the room, no smoke detector, huge water stains on the ceiling. The hall ways also extremely filthy. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Very dis satisfied not worth $50 let alone the $100 we paid!!!!!
False advertisement is an understatement! Black mold all over the hotel, inside and out, smell of weed throughout the building, bugs in the rooms, half eaten food that was left behind from previous guests left in the room…completely disgusting and unsafe. We stayed a few hours before checking out. Still have yet to receive our refund. Stay anywhere besides this hote!
Black mold everywhere. This place should be condemn, roof leaking, black mold in the bathroom and the building falling apart. In most states, cities and counties inspectors would have closed this place. The first night we arrived the smell of weed in the hallway on the first floor made you sick. While walking the weed smoke fogged hallway, you have to stumble over the hotel bedding sheets that lined the path to our room. The price looks good and you would think that the Ramada by Wyndham would be a reasonable place to stay with some standards, not it place. You would be better-off sleeping in your car.
Mmm initial impression of this hotel was that I felt catfished. The pictures did not portray the actual room at ALL. On top of that, I did not have any rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom, so I had to search for a housekeeper for a roll. There was hair in the bathtub from god knows who, and my sheets had visible freeze stains on them. The bathroom linens smelled heavily of some sort of seasoning/or spices. And I very much did not like having to walk out of my room to use a microwave, especially with just having a major procedure don’t where I could not walk properly. And just the icing on the cake, I found spiders and a cockroach in the bathroom. So thank you Ramada, for the unforgettable experience.
I’d give this place -5 stars if possible! Do not stay here! This hotel has unsanitary living conditions. Upon arrival, we noticed dead rodents in the lot, mold on the side of the building, and a hose going to the roof. The front lobby appeared ok, so we checked into our rooms. In my room, there was black mold on the windows, black mold and dust in the air conditioner, dead bugs on the window sill, a broken closet, the dresser drawer was broken and hanging off, and there was no remote control. In my brother/sister-in-laws room, there was mold on the window sills, the bathroom had mold, the toilet was leaking, the rack over the closet hanger fell down, and there was mold within the air conditioner unit. My moms room had BED BUGS in the bed, mold, and dust within the air conditioner unit, and mold in the window sill. Finally, my sister/brother-in-laws room had a week-old muffin in the drawer, mold in the bathroom, and mold in the window sill. This is unacceptable. It was not one room but four that were in hazardous conditions. We requested to check out after seeing the bed bugs. Albert assisted us and honestly did not appear surprised at what our concerns were in terms of these hazardous conditions. We were told nothing would be charged, yet our credit cards were charged and we had to call multiple times to have it erased. Pictures are not accurate depictions if this disgusting place!
Positive: The staff was nice and their pool us nice. Kids loved the pool. Kids love making their pancakes. Negative: Yes the renovation was in the way. The smell if the room like mildew.i felt they should of closed down the part where they were fixing to much water on floor.
Positive: Nothing Negative: Did not stay, water damage throughout the hotel, appearance of black mold outside and in the room on the AC unit. Most areas had a musty odor. Went back to management and canceled the stay. Horrible for a three star hotel, it was more lot a flop house
Fair enough for the price we paid. Took a little bit to get checked in, and they said we only paid for 1 day but we paid for 2 and they said oh okay and reactivated the key for us. Hot breakfast wasnt hot, just cereal bars. The website says the bar//restaurant is open but its not. But like I said, fair enough for the price paid
This place is awful. Please do not book. We arrived and saw our room and then walked out. The front desk “didn’t know how to do a refund.” They said they will try to do one in the morning. Will edit this post if it actually happens….They don’t even have smoke alarms in the rooms. Pretty sure that’s illegal. Photos attached.
I booked a room here through the call centre. It was a last minute booking for my sons family. A total disaster.I was told by 2 operators that there were cribs, one guy said they are available 90% of the time. It took 20 minutes to book the room after being put on hold at least twice. There are never cribs available here apparently!I asked them to charge my card, but they charged my sons card, which was given for incidentals.I registered for the Wyndham Club or whatever it is called while making the reservation. I will never use it!
Over $100 for this hotel....not sure why. Absolutely worst place....didnt even stay was soo bad. Stains on bedding, bugs, smelt like wet dog, black mold on the walls, peeling wallpaper, hair in the bedding Im soo disappointed. I stayed here over 4 years ago and it has definitely went down hill. For a Ramada this is extremely sad.
Needs refinishing in some areas. No continental breakfast either. They couldnt even offer coffee creamer. Staff were friendly, rooms were decent. Parking lot is in really rough shape. Pool is okay. Place needs some love all throughout, spruce it up and ut could be so much better...
This is a disgusting building that smells like a 30 year old ash tray. Breakfast is juice, coffee and a fake pancake machine. Moldy streaks on the outside of the building, worn down interior with mattresses in the hallways. Also had to get a new key card 3 times the second day because their system apparently cant handle having customers. And the elevator was inoperable.
Positive: I didn¿t like anything about the hotel. Negative: The sheets don¿t fit the bed, you have no sheet for the sofa bed, you hardly have pillows, they give u one wash clothes and dry towel for a 4 day stay, they don¿t give u trash bags, they don¿t give extra blankets, pool had eyelashes in it, no poo
Place was not the cleanest. Bags of garbage were on floor when we checked in. And same bags were there when we checked out. White powdery substance on counter, elevator was broke, juice, etc was expired for continental breakfast, second room we reserved for kids, remote control was broke for television, roof and ceilings were leaking everywhere.
Positive: The staff at check-in was very nice. Negative: It was dirty, there was a ton of water damage to the ceiling in my room and down the hall, the bed was very hard, there was a gurgling sound in my room for my entire stay, the toilet was tiny, and there was mold in the shower. The breakfast was also sad.
Positive: The price was not horrible and I was allowed two pets for 1 fee Negative: The pool light is extremely bright and shines in your bedroom windows because of the weird layout. The bed was horrible. We both had the hardest time sleeping. The room was not very clean would not stay again.
The staff was horrible, we waited to check in in an hour passed our check in time. The employee clearly waited for shift change so he didn’t have to check us in. When the next employee came we stood at the desk for 5 minutes while the employee texted on his phone before he even bothered to acknowledge us, then said he had to check a board to see if a room was available (though we had a reservation), then came back 15 minutes later again on his phone. We finally get to our room and it smells horrible, of mold and cigarettes. The ac did not work. As we entered the bathroom there was black mold all over the ceiling. This was the worst experience I have ever had. We reached out to management about all of our concerns and they did not even get back to us. This stay was definitely not worth the $115 we paid. I am disgusted with how much the employees as well as management clearly do not care about their guests.
Good price compared to other area motels, but it has its flaws. The motel is somewhat shabby and has seen better days. Our TV remote control did not work, and I got a replacement at the front desk, but the replacement did not work either. They advertise breakfast, but that consists of a box with a packaged 400-calorie sticky bun, A packaged fruit cup, And a bottle of water. The beds were very comfortable, and the linens were clean, so that was a plus.
Positive: The location was great and the beds were comfortable Negative: The outside needs more lighting at night and general curb appeal. The rooms need updating lots of just old rundown things in the room. This hotel was a best western 5 or so years ago and the phones in the room still say best western for example.
We traveled to Syracuse for a wedding, the pics online made the place seem like a good option for a half way decent price. The place looked run down from outside, but still had hope for inside. Got to our room we were assigned and it smelt so bad of mold and mildew that we couldnt even fathom staying there. Asked to switch, second room didnt smell AS BAD but still gross. Dresser was literally broken and left. Mold all over bathroom. Later got our room number mixed up and accidentally went to different door and turns out, it worked for that room too. Walked in on another family in middle of night. So that was a huge safety concern. No continental breakfast and pool was closed. Which was two of the main reasons we booked there. I would give it a 0 If I could. But since we werent robbed or killed, 1 will do.
Everything was horrible the room was falling apart the breakfast was cereal oatmeal and mini muffins we had 4 people two beds only got 2 pillows and 1 blanket and when we asked for more they said they couldnt find them then I was overcharged by $181.98 and had to wait 4days to get my money
Terrible. The only reason it got two stars was that the room was kinda clean and the extremely limited staff were friendly. Everything else was awful, see the pictures. The rugs were dirty, water stains and peeling paint everywhere. The pool was disgusting, not clean. The breakfast was disappointing. The outlets in the room were very old and unreliable. Our room stunk of vaping overnight. The Super8 in Liverpool was much much nicer and about half the price. Go there instead.
Positive: The pool was the only thing that meet my expectations. Negative: The room I stayed in with my granddaughters had many issues. Carpet stunk like wet dog, the toilet was permanently stained and cracked, food behind the dresser and in the fan/heating unit, no hair dryer, the remote for the tv fell apart, very gross.
0 stars needs to be an option. Please listen and do not waste your money. This place is a health and safety Hazzard to say the least! Do not stay here especially if you have children. The rooms smell like mildew and cigarettes and there are burnholes on the toilet seat. There is mold in the bathrooms and all over the walls, the roof is leaking to the point where there are buckets all over the hotel. The air conditioner didnt work and was covered in mold as well. The rooms hadnt been cleaned at all to the point we had to ask for a vacuum to at least clean the floor. The carpets are coming up everywhere. There was a shoot out at night, and not to mention someone died a week ago in the pool. The ONLY thing that was nice about that disgusting hotel was the front desk worker Albert who was an absolute delight and very helpful. Hopefully that place gets condemned.
Things were broken in the room they over charged my moms card you can hear the kids in the pool and they didnt know where blankets and pillows were when asked for more they also didnt have towels in the pool area just overall bad experience on top of the beds being extremely uncomfortable and hard to sleep in and the fold out couch was broken partly aswell
My husband and I were there for our anniversary. Our roomwas neat and clean. My only complaint there was the phone didnt work. We reported it to the front desk. Was sad that even though New York had lifted many COVID-19 restrictions, the continental breakfast and bar were still closed. The pool was still open so that was a nice relief. Two people had health emergencies, but thats not the hotels fault.Overall I was happy with our weekend stay. It was relaxing.
Room has mold, wall outside has mold, outside was pretty noise all night, even police intervention outside the building,The front desk do not let me check in 10 min before time...that never happen to me on another hotel. They shut off my key card early the next day so my kid cant enjoy the pool.No towels on pool area, bad olor ...etc
This is tough-- the workers were so nice, and the lobby looked good, but the room we has was not great. We could see mold/black gunk in the AC vent (I looked vecause I started sneezing so badly), and the curtain was broken. We had to wrestle it to block out the streetlight. There was also a weird little brown stain on the duvet. The toilet seat was stained and worn, and one corner of the wall had some sort of chipped/half peeled caulk on it (a poorly done repair, maybe). But there were no bugs, which was nice, at least.
Positive: The pool was very dirty and sticky, there was no room cleaning every day, Breakfast was very miniman like fruits in a cup, water bottle and little enegy bar.One of our room had no microvave and even the coffee maker was missing glass container. Negative: I called front desk and told them our room wasnt cleaned and they told me that it will get cleaned on next day and that too did,t happened. It was a very poor service ovaroll.
Positive: Nothing. I was disappointed. I expected Ramada a better hotel. Negative: Air conditioning was not working. Could not sleep all night. Room was dirty. I took pictures. Thankfully I was given another room next day. Breakfast was shocking. One bottle of water and a honey bun. I felt humiliated with my wife.
I am only giving this one star because we aren’t dead yet. The pictures are completely fake. There’s mold and rust on the outside. We only wanted to come here to swim little did we know a women DIED in the pool just 2 days ago. There was mold in the air conditioner and under the lamp. Also stains on the lap shade. AND A EARING UNDER THE BED. The curtains are completely see through. Trash and bags of garbage outside. And the employee didn’t say anything about the death😡
This hotel is disgusting. Very dirty and dated. Besides a problem with the reservation that I made through a third party that resulted in me sitting in the lobby almost 3 hours before they sorted it out, ( offering me absolutely no refund for the inconvenience)the room was very dirty. The toilet was broken, and therefore the room shouldn’t have been given out. The tv was unplugged totally for whatever reason, the remote was greasy and found on the floor next to some sour patch kids candy. I was given another room, but I’ll never stay with Ramada again.
Positive: Nothing. Lobby had buckets in floor for leaks. Pool was out of order first day. No clean towels. Finally gave us pool towels. Staff was rude and not helpful. Dirty inside and out. In disrepair. No breakfast buffet. 1bottle if water and a honey bun. Negative: 1 star hotel. Definitely not a 3 star
Left with Pink Eye.Besides the torn wallpaper, boxed breakfast and feeling that we were in a hotel room out of an adult film it was a splendid stay. We brought our dogs and they loved waking us up at 4:30 AM because the cleaning lady next door thought it’d be a good idea to clean the room then. Friendly staff, besides for the one guy that stared you down while holding his vacuum because we’re getting his carpet wet and prompted not to greet us as we apologized. Really though, other than that just the pink eye.
Let me just say I initially made reservations at another hotel that was less expensive but chose the Ramada since it had a pool and the kids were excited to go to the pool. After a long day at the state fair we checked in late in the evening and was told the pool was closed. As we got ready for bed and planned on waking up early to go to the pool, we heard what sounded like gunshots. My daughter looked out the room window overlooking the pool only to see a body floating face down. As I rushed her away from the window therewere EMTs trying to pull the body of an unconscious woman and tried unsuccessfully to revive her. Not what I wanted my child to witness. Rooms were ok but a lot of peeling paint, and wall paper, water stains windows were dirty and molding. Non smoking rooms but still smelled of cigarettes. Carpets in the hallway was litered with food. Continential breakfast? What breakfast? Juice and coffee was all they had. What bar? What restaurant? Bed was comfortable but who can sleep after seeing a dead body fished out of the pool.
Positive: Hmm...thats a hard one. I guess that it had free wifi and a pool. Negative: Lots: wrong # of beds, needed more towels (they were provided later), TV would not turn on, curtains didnt close all the way: a street light/sunlight were shining right on our faces while in bed, breakfast was bad, they closed the pool w/out notice, etc.
The photos that appear for the hotel are NOT for this hotel! The whole description of the hotel is not correct. The ceiling tiles are all stained from leaking roof, we have mold on our ceiling in our bathroom, the breakfast is a joke-3 Waters and 3 honey buns, the pool isnt open but dont know why. So not sure what we paid for... I purposely reserved this hotel for the included breakfast and use of the pool. So what did I pay for?
Stayed here for one night. They dont bother you while your there which is great or annoy you when its time for checkout. Ok why I hated the visit was the quality of the room. The room was horrible. First off all the rooms was suppose be non smoking. So the first one I got was on the first floor and It smelled like cigarettes. So we switched rooms. No problem with that. 2nd room was exactly the same 2 beds I sat on it and I thought I was going to go through it. The room wasnt cleaned properly especially you would think during this pandemic.it was dusty, the bathroom tub walls had mold, by the mirror the paint was all chipped off, the carpet was coming off the wall, the light fixtures and phone did not work in 1st room and 2 ND room was stained and dirty but they worked. Small fridge, small tv, they had a dresser, iron board, dusty hair dryer, walls had tape and plastered spots. The bathroom door had something caked on. It was just a mess. Gym wasnt 24hrs or pool so I didnt get to see that since I checked in late. Lobby was huge and seemed cleaned they also have vending machines. The place was hard to navigate. Signs says there elevators but didnt see it. I wouldnt recommend this place. There some fast food close by. They are pet friendly and no additional fee which was awesome.
Not very good at all. Hot breakfast replaced with a bottled water and a fruit cup. Pillows are not the size you would expect getting a king size bed and got 1 extra pillow without a sheet on it. Fold out couch bed had no bed spread on it. Hallways look un-vacumed. Paid way to much for what was offered from the hotel and not given when I actually arrived. Feels like a bait and switch scheme since it is all non refundable.
Positive: Indoor pool was a lot of fun with my grandchildren. The beds and pillows were excellent. Negative: Breakfast was a cringeworthy box with a honey bun and fruit cup. Let¿s stop blaming everything on COVID please. The vending machines were ALL out of order. No ice ¿ I¿m guessing because¿ Covid
Im giving this place a conservative 3 stars. We came at 2:53pm and was told we couldnt check in until 3pm.I asked the assistant property manager Mike if I could take pics of the lobby and amenities. Mike quickly told me that they are short staffed and not to take pics of anything at this time, come back another time and do the review. First time Ive ever been told this when Ive asked if I could use photography. The waiting area infront of the lobby had tables that were dirty and the common area bathroom was sub par. These are the pics from our room. Room 136. Needing maintenance terribly. We frequented here a few times in the past 3yrs. Havent been in about a year. New owners now, who seemingly arent doing their job very well...Maybe next time itll be better?
Positive: Location Negative: Roof leaked , tv remote did not work properly, bathroom sink did not drain proper, room was never cleaned, staff did not provide towels or toilet paper when requested and as promised . Facilities were not open ¿ swimming pool or work out room.
I booked this to use the pool as embassy pool was booked. Pool is nice. Kids loved it. Rooms smelled like smoke, were gross. Carpets with stains and cigarette burns, people smoking in the hall, curtains broke and stained. I ended up leaving and going back to embassy. It was bad enough that I would have rather slept in the car.
I would not recommend! Rooms are out of date and had many issues. When I had already switched rooms and my new rooms toilet was clogged with many other cleanliness issues, the front desk never apologized and stated that I could always find a new hotel. Quality for the price is not there. No one told us breakfast was closed too and as a mom really needed that amenity. Morning staff was more receptive to my concerns but did nothing for the major inconveniences during our stay.
Honestly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Carpet had jelly on it in the room, the surfaces of the desk and bedside table etc were filthy with gunk and old food— during COVID!... the walls had icky stains on them (we had to buy Clorox wipes and wipe them off ourselves) no clock, lightbulb in the lamp was out, no coffee maker, hairdryer, microwave — any of the amenities they said there would be. The hotel ran out of towels, (how does that happen?) there was a fire alarm malfunction in the middle of the night and we had to evacuate twice in the cold ... no grab and go breakfast — there wasn’t even coffee in the lobby. Absolute worst place don’t waste your money. It is better to stay in your car for sure
Positive: The woman at the front desk was personable. Negative: This hotel should not be classified or marketed as a 3 star hotel. The bathroom was disgusting and falling apart. All furniture needs replacing, pest control needed (ants), windows/curtains need cleaning, carpet needs replaced, door needs replaced, etc
There was not a buffet breakfast nor a grab n go. They literally gave my fiancé, son, & I one water, a pack of mini muffins, granola bar, & an apple to SHARE. It was also behind the front desk so we had to ASK for it. I have never heard of that. We also put on our door that we needed maid service no one ever came to our room. We had to ask for more towels & toilet paper. It looks nothing like the pictures either.
Really sad to see how downhill this place has gone over a few years, there was sticky substance on the bathroom floor along with bugs. Dust everywhere, paint peeking and chipping, molding on the ceilings. The rooms had clearly not been cleaned thoroughly or maybe even at all.... I’m not one to leave bad reviews but this used to be one of our families favorite hotels for a little get away. This place needs some serious help. I would not recommend.
Positive: Location Negative: There were roof leaks & buckets scattered throughout, exterior looked very unkept, siding rotted, curtains/windows not operable, heating/cooling system didn¿t work, room smelled, was hot;shower was so gross¿ this was clearly not a kept up 3 star hot
Positive: Nothing Negative: It was disgusting the rooms where dirty and smelled the curtains were nasty and dirty and soon as I walked into the hotel they had buckets on the floor with water dripping in them and worse of all the next day the found a dead body in the pool.
Positive: The building was ran down needed some updating our room was dull and dingy and small the one lamp was broken . They offered breakfast well when I called to ask about it the guy said a water bottle fruit cup and pre wrapped honey bun . Not a breakfast ¿ Negative: It made us cancel for our stay on our way home needs a lot of work and TLC ¿¿
Definitely not a clean hotel but... you get what you pay for. Our room smelled like smoke, the wall paper was peeling everywhere, bathroom was absolutely filthy, and the doors look like they havent been replaced since this hotel was built. The breakfast is ok... cant complain too much for free breakfast. All in all it was a cheap stay for a quick trip but definitely wouldnt stay here again.
The pros; excellent desk staff, and the breakfast was good. The cons; the hotel is definitely showing its age...In our room, you had to hold the toilet handle down in order for it to flush, my BF stated that the toilet seat wouldnt stay up to go #1. The spare blanket felt like steel wool. Our room was facing the pool, and the curtains didnt want to fully close, there was no sound barrier and you could hear all the commotion going on. I feel like for the price, I couldve found something a bit more decent.
Price was good for a last minute reservation. Location perfect just off I-90, lounge and restaurant on premises allowed us to chill out during winter storm. Free breakfast was pretty good. Rooms need updating and improved maintenance. Beds were comfortable and quiet rooms were clean.
The room bed and pillows were comfortable - seemed a bit on the aged and worn side though. It presented a nice breakfast. The front desk seems a bit disorganized, it took a long while to find my reservation - good thing I wasnt in a hurry. Good thing I wasnt going to hurry. Overall a pleasant stay.
Absolutely horrible, Id give it 0 stars if I could. The staff was friendly and very accommodating, but they were the one and only redeeming factor in this dumpster fire of a hotel. The lock on the room door was broken and repeatedly locked us out and stopped responding to keycards. The shower was moldy and backed up from the drain. There was blood on the curtains and our non-smoking room smelled heavily of cigarettes. The pool was also moldy and the door from the outside into the hotel didnt lock properly. Its very clear the owners of this business dont care for upkeep of the facilities and is strongly recommend you to stay elsewhere.
The rooms were clean but we didnt have sheets for the pull out couch which had a super thin mattress. After we called, the front desk sent up a flat sheet. Then the walls are so thin we were able to hear the couple next door, if you know what I mean. Pool area clean but the pool was pretty cold for an indoor pool.A plus was the fridge in the room.
If you are staying in this hotel just be careful and take pictures before leaving the room. They can charge you incidental payment for anything which you did or not. I stayed in this hotel with one of my co worker on April 11th and they charge me incidental amount with a reason that we have removed the bath room mirror and they have charged my incidental to fix the mirror. I’m still unable to understand any reason to remove the mirror whereas when we checked Into the room and use the bathroom the water was not draining from the bathroom sink and we called the front desk for fixing and they send the handyman to fix the sink who knows if he removed the Mirror but they are not ready to listen anything.
We went to the Am-Jam tattoo expo. It is too small for the amount of vendors there. It was very crowded, and that was just the tables and vendors. It did not flow very well. As for the rest of the place, it was an older facility, but very clean. We didnt get to see much but the pool looked nice. The expo overflowed into the lobby making it confusing for the people staying there. Parking was also a scarce, but free.
The buffet style breakfast was very good. We had a first floor room which i do not suggest as it had only a see thru sheer white curtain covering the window. Not much for privacy but great for waving to complete strangers from the comfort of your bed, if you are into that. There are too many pets that have been in the rooms and caused allergy issues for my daughter and myself. And we needed a maintenance person to come stop the air conditioner from blowing hot air... This would have been a good value in the $60 range but a sever disappointment for well over $100 for a Saturday night.
This hotel needs a lot of work, from the check in to the check out. We stood there waiting to be checking in for 7 minutes as the people in front of us couldnt pay their card kept being denied and instead of the other person checking us in she just kept looking up seeing us and another behind us and did nothing. Get to check in no Hello no greeting just name please. We finally get a room, the room was gross and very much out of date. Stains on the bed skirting, dust and garbage in the window slides, open the curtains and there is was yuck. The bathroom was horrible, toilet seat was all bubbled, I am sure that is not fault of hotel but replace it. The shower was all stained with something on the walls and it wouldnt come out I tried to clean it. The vents havent seen a duster or a good cleaning in a long time. The ac was cold but you couldnt change temp in room, had a screw in the thermostat so dial wouldnt move, classy. Upon entering and leaving hotel the doors to get in are filthy and need serious tending to make them look at least nice. The outside is falling apart in several spots, roof pieces gone, zero landscaping, and dirt all over the outsides of windows and exterior. A good power wash would probably help immensely. Couldnt get anything for dinner, room service is double on everything, we dont mind room service as a last resort but double the price of anything around us, crazy. And of course the lounge was closed so couldnt even have cocktails. So disappointing. The continental breakfast was ok but tasted bland as heck. And why put out biscuits if you arent going to serve sausage gravy as stated. The only decent part was the pool. refreshing, clean and updated, however no towels so glad we brought our own from home. Wont be staying again especially for $100 for 20 hour stay, well not even truthfully.
Good price and room size, friendly staff. Hotel is dated but doing renovations. The Gym hours were disappointing, opens at 8am? For those who want an early workout prior to getting ready for the day this isnt for you. If thats not an issues then its a good place to stay
Great only on Sale! We got the room for 2 nights on sale and it was to some extent worth it. The room was clean and warm. The stuff was friendly. If you are a gym rat, do not plan on staying here: their gym equipment barely works, and most of it is broken or missing. The pool looks somewhat like the one in high school. You should drive to the nearest diner to eat breakfast. Breakfast selection is really bad.Great to sleep over and continue with the journey.
Worst hotel ever. My reserved room was not ready at check in time, several other people had to wait too. Air conditioning broke on the first night! Something brown dripping from ceiling in my room onto window sill. Pool was unkept and repulsive ...Dirty towels lying around everywhere, something green dripping from the ceiling, extremely potent chlorine smell. I asked front desk for towels they said someone would bring them but no one ever came. Treadmill in fitness center broken. Free breakfast consisted of stale baked goods and make your own waffle. The milk carafes were crusty like they hadn’t been washed in months and had rotten milk inside them! Garbages were overflowing no one maintaining the eating area. Didn’t feel safe with my kids here at all. Whole place was sketchy and seemed like no one was running it. Instead of paying to stay here someone should have paid me! Staff was nice but some were very unprofessional.
Very clean and comfortable! Used a groupon for our stay and all was as promised. The included free breakfast left a fair amount to be desired (the coffee wasnt even drinkable) and there were no blankets on the beds- just top sheets. Personal preference items here clearly- Certainly would stay again!!
Only stayed here for one night and it was not the greatest. Only stayed here due had a wedding to go to the next day and my family was staying here. First I booked ahead online a reservations, when I called up I had a hard time getting connecting to them, and they did not have our reservations. So book again online. The rooms werent nice, the shower nose fell off while I was talking a bed. Beds were extremely rough and in my cousin room had a cracked in the ceiling. Staff was extremely friendly, coffee was good, but dont plan on staying here again. Pricing at the hotels was too high my mother and I paid $150. Not worth it at all.
Located just off the carrier circle. First thing I see when I walk through the door is a man of the the socks on his laptop. After I checked in we got to our room everything seems alright. Went into the bathroom I noticed there was hairs all over the floor and in the shower. Not too mention mold in the corners. We left for the night I had room service come clean the room while we were gone but when we returned neither of a room keys worked. After waiting for 20 minutes at the front desk, because the Clerk was assisting another guest said the sign on the counter, we finally received replacement keys. Other than that the complementary breakfast was good food staff was attentive, I did notice mold in the pool room though, also there is no hot tub. We still have another night to go.
Room was dated but clean and air worked well. Breakfast is advertised as a hot buffet. Not really true at all. It was a continental breakfast with two warmers. Sausage gravy and biscuits and eggs. Sad really for a GF person. I hear hot breakfast buffet I think eggs sausage and potatoes. That wasn’t the case. The general quality of the building is in need of a pick me up. Dingy all around.
The hotel is older and it shows but they seem to be making some updates. Staff was friendly. We were traveling with dogs and found it a very good place to stop with them. They have a very reasonable pet fee at $20/dog and a nice large dog walking area. All in all a satisfactory for the price point.
The staff was nice and helpful. The wifi did not reach the room I was staying in. Room 128. There was a high pitch beeping sound that came off and on for minutes at a time consistently through the night. The TV was pretty small. The complimentary breakfast was nice. There was a waffle maker l, scrambled eggs, hash browns, english muffins, and drinks available.
We got there and parked very close to the front entrance. That was a plus. Once we walked to our room the stairs were filthy. It looked like no one had vacuumed in at least a week. The room was warm so we left to go hang out by the pool with the kids. The pool was dirty and clumps of hair were left on the sides of the pool with small black hair ties. The used towels were overflowing in the bin and there were barely any dry ones left. We went back to the room and showered and left for dinner and put the a/c on. That night me and my 3 kids sat in the room and it was 85 degrees in the room when we went to bed at 830 pm. At 11pm it was still super hot (the thermometer didnt move at all and it must have been 95 or more) and we thought about calling the front desk but even if they gave us another room we would have to move all the sleeping kids our stuff. I am pregnant and was miserable. i hardly slept all night and as well as my husband. i could not believe how awful our stay was. the next morning i just wanted to get out of our room and the kids were so happy to go to the pool and eat breakfast. We ate, the food was ok. The apple juice container was broken and water came out. only 3 yogurts in the refrigerator. The french toast was mostly burnt. In the pool area which opens at 8am, we got there at 845am, Not one clean towel was out for use and the pool deck was just as dirty as the day before. (why was this not taken care of during the night shift when the pool closes at 10pm?)We were very disappointed when we told the manager about how hot our room was and he said they never turned the boiler off. He saw that i was pregnant and with 3 kids in tow and didnt offer to compensate us at all for our inconvenience or uncomfortable stay. Needless to say the next day my husband and i were running on empty trying to deal with our 3 kids. Highly disappointed with our stay.
The hotel is doing a lot of renovations to this location to make it look nice a new. They have recently hired an Catering Sales Manager that is very proactive to reaching out to the local business to see if she and the Ramada can earn your event business.I was impressed with the quality of service and attention to detail that was displayed at our meeting.
The location was very convenient. Around the corner from the Thruway and Destiny USA. When we first got there the service was nice and helpful. When we got there we inspected the pool, breakfast area, and room. Pool seemed well kept. Breakfast area had a 24/7 coffee area and a microwave for use. The room was well cleaned with nothing noticeable messed up.
Do not stay here.. we book this hotel a month in advance for a beauty pageant for my girls... the hotel room was extremely nasty... let me stay by this we asked for three rooms next to each other and two be conjoining because let’s be honest we wanted a little room for our girls to go back and forth in.. when we got there the put someone in one of the rooms they revered for us.. then lied about it and said it was down for maintenance till we seen people come out the room... then the room the gave us 110 was nasty.. there was trash, beer bottle caps, blood and mold on the door.. the sink wouldn’t drain badness hair kept coming up.. the didn’t not wipe anything down ..I went and asked house keeping for a rag and spray so I could clean the room.. I have pictures.. then they moved us because i refused to stay in the room . They had plates and silver wear behind the stands we found juice containers under in side of the bed.. are blankets has stains on them.. the red cover had white stains and. Food all over them.. the red decorative pillow had stains and what looked to be like human drool.. there is so much I could mention that I am probably forgetting that I don’t even know... run from this hotel and never stay here ...
Stayed for a weekend was one of the cheaper hotels available so we booked it quick, and its not terrible but it definitely needs some updates and changes. Our AC unit does not blow cold air at all nor does the fan change speeds. The staff seemed like they hated their jobs but was friendly (but I mean who deasnt) our ceiling needs touched up big time and the door has to basically be kicked to open it. The pool is ok not what I expected but its a good place to cool off. Also room was very well kept up by the maids. Would possibly stay again if some major upgrades happened in the future and I was passing threw and need a place to sleep for the night .
If i could give this 0 stars I would. The breakfast was cold. There was mold in our rooms and the weight room. The coffee was honestly just hot water. Nothing in the weight room worked. The pool was smaller than we saw online. The pictures look nothing like the real thing. The water out of the faucet looked cloudy and at some times was white with black specs. The customer service was bad. The woman seemed like she didnt know what she was doing when we tried to check out. The beds hurt our backs. It was one of the worst hotel experiences Ive had.
I have a service dog.The hotel staff is knowledgeable of SD laws. For the third year in a row, I paid nearly $1,000 for my business to participate in the annual Am-Jam Tattoo Expo held in the hotels convention center...a space that is rented by a LLC to hold their event. Its a 3 day event. I drove 4 hours in poor weather to be at event. I was denied access with my SD to work/enter in event due to the event coordinators and staffs ignorance to the laws. Although, its worth mentioning the coordinator had two small dogs of her own present with her at event. I was humiliated and discriminated against in front of a crowd of people. However, when i explained circumstances to hotel staff they were at the ready to stand up for my rights to the event coordinators. I explained I did not want to make any more of an issue, my only option was to return home. The hotel staff was extremely apologetic and completely refunded the $400 I had paid for my room without hesitation.
Went there for a Christmas sleep over with the kids and had a blast. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Would have been 5 stars had your staff been nicer and we not been kicked out of the pool by an old scenial man yelling and pointing his fingers in my face telling me that i am not old enough to watch my 9 year old daughter and 10 year old niece in the pool area and told us we need an adult with us and laughed in my face when i told him i was an adult and that was my child. So plan to bring your id with you into the pool area if you wish to swim in peace.
Wish i could give negitive stars...this place is a complete dump...worst Ramada Ive been in....it boasts a luxurious pool and up to date rooms...what a joke its filthy and the receptionist is very unfriendly ... Anx pool is closed until furthet notce...had I not had booked on price line with no refunds and two kids with me we would have left
Having never stayed here before, I was surprisingly pleased by the room quality and friendly staff here. One suggestion though if you are planning to stay here...if offered a room with a pool view do not get it. The pool is actually within the building and the pool area echos when there are lots of kids playing in the pool. We found the ambient noise for our first nights stay very distracting. When we returned 2 weeks later, we requested a non-pool view and the stay was immensely better. The hot breakfast offered in the morning was delicious!!! Will stay here again the next time we visit Syracuse!
The service was excellent, I was checked in by the young man whos name tag said front desk supervisor. He was very friendly, attentive and efficient. The hotel is packed today with cheerleaders for state competition. The woman working the bar and dining area was also excellent, considering she was the only employee, she definitely needed another person for the amount of customers she had, but remained friendly the entire time we were in and out of there. Around three hours. This being said, the room I had was old and dated. It had broken shades in the windows and I could not completely cover the window. The sheets are old and pilled. The walls and ceilings have visible water damage, also in the hallways. Wallpaper is falling down or cut and torn and mismatched. Price was affordable, you get what you pay for.
From entering this hotel, we were concerned. Customers smoking in the front lobby. Then we entered the hallway and staircase. Dirty walls and carpet which appeared to be never vacuumed. Should have turned around then. The room had potato chips on the floor and something sticky on the carpet. All the doors appeared to have a black dirty film. Disgusting hotel. Do not stay here. Had to give it a one to make the rating but it is not even worth the one star
WORST HOTEL EVER!!! This place should be shut down/condemned. Absolutely disgusting conditions. Outdated, dirty, and unhealthy. Air freshener is pumped through the entire hotel. Horrible for those with allergies/asthma. Do not even consider staying here if you have any class whatsoever! I would have rather slept in my car! Not even worth the 1 star rating I have to give.
Nice place at the beginning. Everything looked good but then turned in a nightmare. Wet carpet in bedroom right on front of the bathroom door. I complained and they said it was because they cleaned the carpet earlier which it wasn’t true. Later we realized it was because toilet was clogged and flooded the whole room, of course they didn’t fix it yet. They didn’t have another room. Long story short we end up using the bathroom in the lobby. Thankfully it was just one night.
The facilities are impeccably clean. The mattress extremely comfortable. REAL EGGS on the breakfast buffet! And the staff are very friendly and accommodating. This hotel is a rare find. Value and quality, nothing is compromised here. Definitely recommending to anyone looking for a great place to stay near all the hospitals and universities in sryacuse.
Ramada continues to surprise me. The rooms are very nice and the staff super friendly. The breakfast was OK but they didnt have real coffee, just a machine that spits it out. There are walkable options down the street from the hotel if you wanted something else. Overall I was happy.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I stayed there for 2 nights for a wedding. Our 1st room had no air at all. Our 2nd room had no cold air, bugs, a clogged drain and the shower water was only hot for the 1st person. I complained so many times and nothing was accomplished. My card was charged the full price at check out and I was told to call the manager the next day. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. I ALSO WOULD NEVER REFER THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. I WOULD RATHER SLEEP IN MY CAR.
The manager Victoria really tried hard to make sure we felt welcome. The housekeeping staff didnt clean our room on Saturday, didnt even replace towels or empty the trash 🤦🏽♀️. Deanna in house keeping was excellent 👌🏽👍🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽and cleaned our room, replenished the towels. Just the weekend housekeeping staff were not good. All in all it was so so.
This hotel has seen better days. The rooms were ok but a lot of the property is dated and in need of maintenance or repair. The pool was dirty and had areas obviously stained by mold and mildew. The website says they have a restaurant, but actually what they have is a bar that serves some over priced sandwiches. The breakfast buffet was standard but the area its served in is what I assume used to be the restaurant and its very very dark, like the kind of lighting youd expect for an evening dinner which was just off-putting. While the staff seemed nice enough they were all young and seemed to need more training and experience. We had only been in our room and hour when another couple walked in. It worked out that they were decent people and no harm was done but obviously there are major saftey concerns with that. The front desk told us that they accidentally punched in the wrong number on the other guests key card, but obviously they also told them the wrong room number or they wouldnt have been at our door. Thats a terrible mistake to make in a hotel. They offered us 2 free drink coupons as a sort of apology but niether of us drink so that wasnt very useful. All in all I think we paid too much for what we actually got not even considering that mistake, so next time we will stay elsewhere.
Best place in town. My family and I have traveled here at least 12 times this year. This Motel is quiet, clean and most of all family oriented. Even in the bar. The food made at the bar/restaurant/tavern off the main lobby is delicious. The pool is heated. The free buffet breakfast is phenominal. My kids love this place as do my wife and I. All the staff from front counter, to maintenance, to housekeeping are all extremely polite and strive to make every guest happy, satisfied and comfortable. There is a Dunkin Donuts, Speedway gas station, McDonalds, and even a Dennys within a 1 minute drive of the motel. Even the Thruway is right there. If you ever plan to stay here and I highly recommend you do take I-90 Thruway to Exit 35.
They advertised having queen size beds and having roll out beds available if needed. I booked and paid in advance for accomodation for 5 people. The beds turned out to be full size not queen size as advertised. We asked for the roll out bed. And we were denied the roll out bed. We were told that the room was not large enough for the roll out bed. It would create a fire hazzard. We were offered some extra blankets and pillows so that we could make the floor comfortable . I declined that really terrible suggestion. I asked to be placed in a room that could accommodate us. I was told that they didnt have anything available except the handicap room. So I had to pay for an extra room for my 5th person. I was lied to and hustled by this hotel. I will not be a returning customer. I would not recommend this place.
Great customer service! Huge comfortable beds. Also I was told they offered a great breakfast. Due to my work schedule, Night owl.. I did not get a chance to try the breakfast.I heard good reviews/ comments from other customers.. When I occasionally would go for a smoke outside, due to non smoking rooms..Will recommend! Thanks again! Stayed a couple days -May 20th
The people at the front desk were nice, our beds were clean, and the breakfast was good, but we had a janky door that could barely open and then wouldn’t close and we had an ant problem in our room. We found them on the table, in the bathroom, and on my daughters’ bed. We finally discovered they were coming through the air conditioning unit right next to my girls’ bed. We changed rooms and still had a janky door, but the ant problem was better. I think it’s just a really old and run down hotel.
The Ramada may be cheap, but it is definitely not worth the price we paid. The bathroom was dirty, and our room, like many others, had our window overlooking the pool. This meant that every sound going on in the pool area, or the event room on the other side of the pool, echoed around and could be heard constantly. Add onto that a live band that went on till midnight, and our night of rest and relaxing became a dreary conglomeration of noisey annoyance. We canceled our second night and are staying somewhere else the rest of our weekend. We came to stay at the hotel to make sure we liked it enough to book a block of rooms for our wedding, but after being here, I would rather put my guests somewhere they will get a decent nights sleep.
The place seemed kinda sketchy when I first pulled up, but the room was spacious, staff was nice (especially the gentleman who checked me out) and it’s really close to the airport. My issue was my room has this strong bleach scent, which was a bit overwhelming, but really for the price and the convenience of being so close to the airport...this was good deal.
I just finished my stay there, and Id like to give as thorough of a review as I can.I booked through priceLine, and on the website it said it was a queen bed room, when I checKed in and went to the room, it was a full sized bed. I did NOT say anything to the front desk about it, I decided it wasnt a big deal. Im not sure if that was pricelines issue, or theirs. I got the room for 60 dollars a night, for 2 nights. when I arrived I had a very patient and friendly greeting. I did read a lot of reviews before staying there, and a lot of them said there was a smell, like an old musty smell through out the hotel, Including the rooms. I personally immediately smelled something upon waking in. To me, it smelled like a pool room, like chlorine, so I personally didnt find it off-putting. They gave us a little map thing to show us the best place to park, closest to our room. Going in the room, we were welcomed with a pleasant smell, not musty or anything bad. The room looked modern and clean, except the rug. The carpeting was older and stained. I know they are still going through renovations, so Im hoping they will put in new carpet soon. The room was so cool!!! It got quite cold, which i love. The bathroom was nice, i loved the shower. The bathroom also looked more new and modern. I was thrilled with the shower because its an open shower, but there is a lip so the water doesnt go all over the bathroom floor. There was a closet and hangers, good amount of drawers, clean remote for the tv, and I loved the lamps! Sleek, modern, matching, and the night stand lamps had outlets! So convenient! The bed was comfortable, but I didnt like the pillows. They felt lumpy and they were on the smaller side. The pool room was warm, water was warm, but not too warm. The pool and room could use some Tlc. The lobby and breakfast area looked nice and clean. I didnt visit any other area in the hotel. The fitness room is being renovated currently. The breakfast was mediocre. Nothing special, but glad it was free and available. The fruit was bad quality, plain and simple. I would love to see more fresh fruit. I left the do not disturb sign up all night and morning, and was not disturbed at all! Over all, The hotel was quite quiet. For the price, my stay was excellent. I would not pay 90+ dollars for this room, unless the pool and breakfast improved. I feel this hotel has potential to be 4 stars. I do recommend staying, especially if you can get a deal, and I would stay here again! I hopefully can add to this review, I would like to say when I receive my 75 dollar deposit back. They do hold 75 in case of damages.
Breakfast was ok, meat & eggs along with dry goods, but nothing to drink besides coffee. Which is ok for adults, but not the kiddos.Rooms back up to the pool, which doesnt close until 10pm, and we were kept awake by screaming children. The air conditioning didnt work in our room and every attempt made to reach staff to switch rooms was unsuccessful.Overall, not pleased with out stay.
This place is quite well priced we where able to get a check in with out a booking and we got rooms that where right next to each other. There was an ok indoor swimming pool and parking for cars near our room.Rooms are nice not out of the park but we where only staying one night so thats all you need TV good shower comfortable bed. They have a bar with a small menu the food was on par and quite cheap.Over all nice place well priced.
Very outdated, dirty and run down. Asked for bath towels all day, and never got them. Gym equipment did not function at all. Sprinkler system was nasty and rusted. TV kept going out. No ice machine to be found.Breakfast was a joke. Floor in breakfast area was spongy and needed to be replaced. The man who ran the breakfast area was rude and disorganized, and yelled at me when I said the waffle mix was out. Eggs were ICE cold. Not worth the trouble. The saving grace was Tiffany, at the front desk. She was amazing. She needs to train the rest of the staff about customer service.
You definitely get what you pay for when you are here. It’s not bad, but it isn’t great. The whole facility is in desperate need of a remodel. There are areas where you can see water damage, the paint needs a touch up and there is an older smell (as if this hotel once allowed smoking in rooms.) The room service and the breakfast was mediocre. I probably wouldn’t stay here again, but it served its purpose during my stay in Syracuse.
Location is very convenient right off the highway. Room was clean and modern. My only minor complaint is that the room phone wasnt functioning and the door stuck when opening it. Service was top notch, my stay was unexpected and didnt have toilitries with me and they provided me with a toothbrush/toothpaste. The breakfast was good also.
I had to stay for over two weeks. Several of the staff were kind, approachable, and genuine. This would especially be true of Akeela, and others too. I wonder if the staff are not backed well by whoever calls the shots behind the scenes, resulting in lack of reliable response to this s like room repairs, an easily detectable smoke smell, fire alarms going off, and other things.
Finally had to check out of this location, have to say that the Front Desk Staff were totally awesome!!! Very Pleasant, Friendly, always there to help you and every single one of them always had a smile on there face.. Thank you to the following employees, Shaun (Manager) Brittany, Ashley and John, they are the Greatest Front Desk anybody could ever ask for.. Thanks for taking care of me when I needed the help... and Merry Christmas to the 3 of them!!!!
Very good hotel. The location of it seemed a bit sketchy. There were many police officers when I visited, come to find out there was a vandal who refused to leave, or so I heard. I also struggled with the smell of some rooms where people clearly had smoked. These problems are mostly out of the control of management however, and my overall experience was good.
Our first time staying at this hotel and definitely our last. We were in town for a wedding and had six rooms near entrance 2. All you could smell was old musty cigarette smoke (the smoking area is just outside the entrance) in the hallway and the rooms. Towels were small and hard to come by in the rooms but at the pool they were even smaller and scarcer. If you have a room facing the pool good luck blocking out the echoing sound of people talking, yelling, splashing, etc. Every noise in that area reverberates around the concrete and straight into the rooms. The only good point is that the pool closes at 10:00 otherwise youd never be able to sleep. The door to our room required a solid hip check to pop it open once you had swiped your card. The whole hotel is just old and in desperate need of repairs and an upgrade. One afternoon the key cards for all six of our rooms (12 cards) all stopped working at the same time. The lady at the front desk was dismissive and said we must have put the card near a cell phone or a magnet and we should be more careful. All 12 cards at the same time? After she reset them a few only worked once and then stopped working again. Again she blamed us for not knowing how a key card works as if weve never stayed at a hotel before. After mine quit a third time I didnt even bother going to the desk again until the next day when I saw she wasnt there. For the record I work at a manufacturing facility where I use a key card to get into secure areas for my job of 33 and a half years. I know how to handle a key card.We also had to ask multiple times to get one of our rooms looked at for a non-working outlet in the bathroom. The same for getting someone to remove a roll-away bed that we no longer needed so we wouldnt be charged for it. And asking for extra towels was useless. You literally had to stalk the housekeeping staff in the halls and beg them for any towels they might have on their cart at the time.My son and his boys had to leave a day early and forgot their bathing suits hanging in the bathroom. He called us when he got home about five hours later but lo and behold the suits had disappeared not just from the room (which we expected) but from the hotel completely. They werent at the front desk in lost and found and the housekeeping staff said they had never seen the bathing suits in the room when they cleaned it. Nobody we spoke with seemed very interested in helping us figure out where they might be so we gave up and stopped asking for assistance.Ive never been so happy to check out of a hotel and get back in my car for a long drive home.
Price was very reasonable but now I see why. Room across the hall had an outrageous number of small children in it that were up yelling and screaming all night. Not even remotely the worst part though - there was literally dog or cat feces on the floor that we didnt notice until the next morning which was disgusting and made me second guess the cleanliness of the rest of the room. Showed a picture to the man at the front desk and he laughed and said there was no one there that could do anything about it.
Definitely a budget hotel. TV and one light didnt work in room. Spent 10 minutes waiting to tell someone but they only had one person manning desk. Walls are thin. Could hear every word of neighboring room conversation lasting until 1230 am and by a baby crying at 330am. My group got a discounted rate of $100. If I wasnt part of that group@ Id shop around - many other hotels in area.
Air conditioner did not cool the room adequately. window did not seal... gaps to the outside. bed mattress was so springy that when one of us turned over the other awoke. very, very small, tight bathrooms. overall, once beyond the lobby area the hotel feels dingy and old.
I stayed overnight while traveling through Syracuse. Booked a room through Hotel Tonight and ended up in a room with a single king size bed (very comfortable). The room was clean and despite the fact that there were a lot of small children and families staying there, the room was sound proofed well enough that I had no trouble sleeping. Breakfast was provided (a pleasant surprise) and although there isnt much to do in the immediate area, the hotel is very conveniently located next to major highways.
Needs drastic improvement. Breakfast ( what was available) was horrible, no garbage pails in room and a shortage of pillows. The front desk employees where so helpful and the bartender was very nice. Housekeeping where also very nice and Friendly. But it does need to be updated.
I really like this hotel. I stay here every time I come to Syracuse. It has some “issues” it’s kind of old. There are a lot of cosmetic issues that they are slowly fixing. But it is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, the bar has decent food, the breakfast buffet is great, and you can’t beat the price.
Probably one of the worst hotels stayed in... air conditioning didnt work... 85 degrees + outside... asked for a fan, they said sure we will bring one right up, half an hour later, we called to check, oh sorry we are all out... housekeeping left a note on our bed hand written, sorry we were unable to clean your room today.... REALLY!!!!!! Room smelled old, even though the hotel claimed they are Newly remodeled... very poor experience... would not recommend to stay here
Family went this past weekend. Check in time was 3:00 and we had to wait an hour and a half for our rooms to be ready. We got up to our rooms and we walked in one and a housekeeper yelled and said that we werent allowed to go in because it wasnt ready. When we got in there were stains on the pillows and the toilet knob was rusty. The walls were very thin and we could hear everything from the other rooms. When we finally decided to go to sleep, we had to order an extra roll in bed. It got to our room and we set it up and my sisters boyfriend layed on it and it immediately broke and he fell off. The next morning we woke up around 7:30 and went to breakfast, it was terrible. There was barely any variety of food, and it was all cold and tasted terrible. Later, I was walking to a vending machine and i heard the housekeepers screaming at each other, creating more noise than i had heard at all that weekend. They were complaining about how they werent going to give each room the proper toiletries and i saw one drinking a beer while cleaning. Before leaving, I opened the closet door (first time it had opened, and immediately the magnet that held the door together fell off.
One of the worst hotels Ive ever been in. Got to the room and there was only one towel in the bathroom (room is for 3 adults). Went to the front desk and they said they were out of towels. Went back to the front desk at 9 in the morning and asked again. This time the excuse was that housekeeping wasnt in yet.Talked to other guests and their rooms were even worse.
We were pulling around back and we saw rooms with broken and dirty, sheer, supposedly white, curtains. Already had a bad feeling. Walked into the lobby and was greeted by a lovely receptionists very helpful. Room was said to have queen bed walked into have full bed and stains that resemble a blood stain i little too much and same stain on floor. Curtains had thick brown stains. Slept on the bed was comfortable. When we went to get the complementary breakfest had really soggy eggs at bottom and supper dry eggs left on top and tables were placed so close together that i bumped into a few people on my way to my own table knocking down the t.v. . Im sorry but wont come again but its just my opinion. had a lovely pool though was heated and clean. Best part was the reseptionist again a wonderful and sweet lady there the day i stayed.
My family and I just had a two night stay there and it was the first time we stayed in a hotel and it was deffintly a great stay. prices where fair and Alesha at the front desk was great and the complimentary breakfast was amazing the pool was warm and clean witch was a win for me
My stay was eh. I loved the breakfast it was great eggs , sausage , hash browns, 2 waffle makers , jusices (not orange bc it was out of order). Cereal, coffie. The whole nine yards. But everytime I get eggs , sausages, or toast its cold and gross. My room was in a similar state. The heater didnt work at all and no one came in and fixed it. So the entire 2 nights i was sleeping on the floor (due to the amount of people sharing a room) in new york early spring around 25-40 degrees. Sleeping in a room with no heater shivering my ass off. Rooms where clean to an extent. Hotell halls constantly smelt of marijuana. The pool was small 4ft deep indoor thing it was nice. The work out room was full of sad broken machines and other work out somthings i can recall only 1 machine working. And some rooms evan had a bed bug problem (not mine thankfully) when i overheard the staff talk about it they talked like they where just sweeping it under the rug (gross). Over all i can describe my stay as eh it was ok i guess
Filthy rooms! Dirty towels. Maintenance litterly walked into my room unannounced without apology. Atmosphere feels like if you were looking for some meth, you would probably want to hang out out back.. Will never return! So many other choices near by, should consider those first if possible.
Check in is 3, check out is 11. Showed up at 3 and had to wait in the lobby for over an hour and a half to get in a room because they didnt have a single room cleaned. Then they finally told us our room was ready so we walked to it and our door was open and and they said that room isnt done. But they let us just go in anyway and finished while we were in there. What pissed me off more is while walking to the room we saw the workers not even doing anything and just all talking and getting nothing done. Worst hotel Ive ever stayed in.
It was disappointing. Staff were not professional. Found them lackluster in their service. Job done moderately well but without pride in it. Plus venting produced a highly perfumed scent that was difficult to breathe in. Too strong. Will stay somewhere else on our next visit.
First appearance it seemed decent but found evidence of old food in corners of the room, stained carpets, unidentifiable stains on the walls, lousy breakfast, and police required to handle problems with difficult and noisy customers in which staff also argued back with the police who were trying to help them. Sticky floors and dirty tables in public area, and never mind the dirty public washrooms. Not to Ramada standards at all. Find somewhere else to stay...anywhere else!
As a veteran I couldnt feel more disrespected. I have two childs and they gave me a room with a drawer broken, the heater made a truck noise that didnt let us sleep, the food was bad and the front desk staff, the worst customer service. I tried to talk to the manager but he never came out I dont want to think that this is a race issue but when you see a person laughing in the face of a costumer it probably is
Not a good place to stay and cant recommend! Honestly.....I can ONLY recommend not to stay here; its dirty, old, exterior doors dont shut/lock etc.. Our room wasnt cleaned and we had to have them come and clean it. On top of all that, pool area was dirty and daughter broke out in sploches!
Rooms itself were dirtier than normal hotels. Crumbs where on the carpet, a dead fly was on the table, and the room phone was not working. Dining area was understaffed, bartender was both cook and server. Breakfast option was lacking, however they did have a waffle maker. Staff did not know where to find extra towels.

2022-05-05Positive: Tha hotel breakfast area, pool and fitness areas were fairly well maintained. Breakfast was available and was okay. The hotel staff were helpful. Bed was comfortable. Negative: The hotel was listed as a 3 star hotel.Overall the hotel was in a state of disrepair. Areas of leaking water in various areas.Musty smell as soon as we entered the lobby. Needs remodeling through out. Had to get our own towels and tissue. Not recommended!

2022-02-20While the room I was staying in wasn’t awful, there were ants in the bathroom coming from who knows where. The tub floor was nasty and felt slimy when the water was on. The hotel however is disgusting. Water damage all over the place! There are buckets all over filled with dirty water dripping from the ceiling. The carpets were soaked in some areas. Ceiling tiles were missing, the wall and ceiling by the staircase was so disgusting and possibly moldy from the water! There was a disgustingly strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway too. This place needs some serious work!

2022-06-24Can’t believe its Ramada property can be so bad! Not sure how Ramada gave its name to this property. Only good thing about this property is very nice and helpful staff. But not worth any amount spend for a stay!Extremely bad smelly rooms, bathrooms, hallway! The smell of smoke/weed is everywhere, no sign of cleanliness. We got the room but it had no comforter and had all broken pillows..Not at all recommend this property. Ramada should definitely re-check this property else they are loosing its brand standards..I wish i could give less than 1 star for the property.

2022-05-06This hotel is in a state of major disrepair. There was a musty odor on entering the lobby.. Numerous areas that showed water leakage, one area had water draining into a large bucket that had not been empty in several days or longer. Dirty windows, stained curtains and trash left in the stair wells. We had to get our own towels and tissue at the front desk. Most of the linen is old and well used.. Had to have key cards reprogramed twice as well.Breakfast was satisfactory and the bed was comfortable. Would not recommend this hotel.

2022-01-08Positive: The staff was really nice and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. Free wi-fi and breakfast. Negative: The building in itself needs to be repaired. There was buckets of water everywhere in the hallway because of water running in the ceiling and the stairs (mold and paint felt off). Not really appealing and safe !

2022-04-27This hotel was shockingly terrible. First impression was a parking lot with more holes than pavement. Plaster on the outside of the building is cracked, water stained and dirty. Front lobby is old and dated. The carpets in the halls were stained, worn and smelly. All the halls smelled like stale cigarettes. There were multiple water leaks in the hallways some of which were being caught by tarps and drained by hoses into buckets. The pullout couch in our room had a thin, springy mattress and it took 3 trips to the front desk to get some bedding (which itself was worn and stained) There was a panty liner stuck to the back of the bathroom door and the tub was stained brown. The curtains were grubby and falling down in places. We were booked for 2 nights but canceled the second night when we saw the state of the place. This place should be closed until it can be repaired and updated.

2022-03-07The pool was okay and beds were fine but the hotel itself is just....gross. The first time I stayed somewhere without reading reviews and I definitely regretted it. There are stains everywhere, ceiling leaking in the hallways, REAKS of smoke (weed and cigarettes) even in our room that was obviously a smoke free room. The breakfast was okay but the one option for warm food was pancakes and the machine wasnt working. The hotel is just very outdated and should honestly be shut down, deep cleaned with a lot of maintenance and then reopened. The older gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and accommodating (provided toilet paper since our room was almost out when we checked in and sheets for the pull out bed since there were none) which was appreciated. We would not stay here again though.

2022-03-23First room they gave me The toilet was clogged and the sheets were not clean, phone did not work to call the main office, only one guy running around like a chicken with his head cut off( which he turned out to be very nice. He came to every question and need I needed) . The second room he gave me the heater/ air conditioner did not work. Although the pool had no towels, I had to request both times using the pool for the bathroom to be unlocked. The condition of the building is absolutely morbid. It is all moldy. It is all hanging and broken and run down. I dont even believe that it should be up and running. The building should probably be torn down and recreated. A hour before I left with a bunch of complaints and none of the representatives were receptive to them nor did they customer service them and turn the experience around. Actually, one indicated that I was correct that he does not give a bleep about the building nor does he give a bleep about me( white man, glasses, long dirty blond hair, slender) I will never ever return here and spend even a dollar or a penny at this place. I went there feeling like it was a special place and left there feeling like the building should be condemned and torn down, but shut down for sure . Good job! Ramada Imn because you know one person not liking your place and having a bad taste in their mouth just leads to more people hearing and seeing this review and my friends and family hearing how my stay was absolutely horrible my stay was from 3pm on Saturday to Sunday at 11 am. I would also like to add that my key stopped working a hour before 11:00 and unfortunately I feel like that was intentional due to my complaints and the non-receptive receptionist that you had there. Theres also a door on entrance 7 that is accessible to whomever wants to come into your building. The door does not lock but yet there our signs stating you need a key to get it.Ill be contacting the proper people but this place is going to get reported. To corporate and to codes. Thanks for at least having the pool and with the amount of chlorine I knew that that was at least the cleanest place for my children to be. The woman training at the desk was very nice at the end as well understamdimg my frustrations. I was hoping today would have brought better customer service and a good breakfast but even that was too much to ask for . I will never return there and I will make sure my loved ones never return there either.

2022-06-260/5. Dirty sheets. No keys to the room. Had to ask for them multiple times. Had to wait at the unattended front desk for 15 min. every time to ask front desk for an update on keys. No elevator in use. Dirty pool. Trash and rotting food across from my room. Rude front desk “worker” - who was away more than she was there. Asked to speak to someone about the conditions and had eyes rolled at me- she couldn’t be bothered to even try and assist. Couldn’t have checked out fast enough.

2022-01-17Horrible from the time we checked until we left. The was leaks in the ceiling with garbage pails under the leaksEverything smelled like smoke, the towels in the bathroom looked yellow stained 🤮. We tried to use the gym and were told there was a safety issue in the pool come to find out the push bar on the door was broke so someone would have to let us in and out and the man at the desk said he could not leave the desk area. Then our key would not keys us in 3 times we had to have it reprogrammed and I was told it was a time difference in the system . I would not waste my money on this place there are a bunch of hotels around this one that looked better
