My only issue has been the breakfast provided. The earlier you arrive it seems the better. I arrived about 30-40 minutes after it began, by this time the milk was lukewarm, eggs and sausage were cold. Apple juice was fine. Havent tried the other items yet, but the bananas looked fresh. Check in was simple, no issues, room seems good so far, free wifi.
Nice hostel to stay. Its convenient, close to metro station. Cheaper than hostels in Manhattan. They gave me towels, clean bed sheets. The beds are not comfortable and there should be have power plugs and light for all beds. Lack of hooks in the shower. Overall, you can stay there if you are on a budget
This was a pretty nice hotel and in a very good location for the price paid. Obviously there was no parking so you were on your own there. The room was nice but a bit small for two people who needed privacy. The internet was pretty good. The room did not have a microwave though it did have a fridge. This hotel is located just a few blocks from the subway so you can get just about anywhere very quickly.
Very clean and maintained well. However once you leave they do everything in their power to keep your deposit. Alleging damage because of my wifes menstrual cycle hitting during our stay is absolutely absurd and discriminatory. Also too I was harassed one night after coming back from work by staff just making sure I was a guess asking my name and room number. The next morning my wife went to breakfast alone(I was still working) she was told by kitchen staff that the manager said that she specifically was not aloud to take any extra food from the breakfast area. Which was for me since I was going to miss breakfast. Corporate did apologize being that it was not normal practice.
Id give it one star if I could. Horrible costumer service, they had no ethics. Theyre staff is horribly trained. Expect a plumber every night to fix the toilet. And to complete the stay we found a bug. The eggs for breakfast tasted like rotten cardboard. Furthermore, they Lied to guests. I asked twice of they had free parking, they said yes but there was no parking. Please do not make the mistake of booking this hotel, youll waste your money and your sanity.
You get what you pay for. For the price the rooms were a decent size. The door stuck and there was throw up in the garbage. We had two rooms, one of the rooms didnt have a phone wire and the other room I had to plug the light in. There was no cover for the electrical outlet.
One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at in my entire life. The staff were fine. The sheets had not been changed from the previous night, hair and dirt covered the bed once the cover was pulled off. The bathroom was extremely dirty, toilet was not cleaned, hair and dirt covered the shower. The room had not been dusted or vaccumed and the hallway and room smelled musky and dirty. Unfortunatly the worst experience I have ever had.
This hotel was very dirty and run down, not what you would expect from a Ramada. Breakfast was from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM...who wakes at 6 AM while on vacation? You are greeted by a thousand black, garbage bags at the front entrance. The lady at the front desk can invest in a smile and basic customer service. Considering the high rates we paid for a weekend, the overall experience was extremely disappointing!
Small but that’s to be expected. Breakfast served until 9am which is nice. Only one elevator so I hope you’re either patient or enjoy taking the stairs (yes, this means no service elevator so housekeeping uses the same elevator you’ll be trying to use). They didn’t give us (my partner and I) enough pillows and when we went to ask for some they said they’re “out of pillows”. There were handprints on the inside of the suit, on the wall near the door, in what I can only hope was chocolate. Bathroom door doesn’t shut when you close it and the blow driers don’t work.
Hotel is acceptable for the price. Located in quite place, but close to Subway stations. Room size, bathroom & amenities are good. However, lobby & restaurant are very small & not in good quality. Breakfast is really pathetic & not worthy at all. It comprised just pieces of bread & couple of packets of jam & butter. You have to wait 5-10 minutes for the only available lift.
This hotel was exactly as expected: Clean, simple, and affordable. There are no bells and whistles. Rooms are small, but very typical for New York City. Close to subway. Simple breakfast...just enough to get you going to start the day. You may have to get more towels as they only stock 2 per day, but the front desk is friendly. Do not tick off the breakfast dictator He runs a tight ship and doesnt want you to hog all the food. There is no parking except for on the street ( we didnt have a car...just what I observed). Great bars and restaurants around the area.
This is a decent hotel and conveniently located near Manhattan. If you are visiting from out of town you do not have to travel too far to reach major venues. The rooms are fair sized and clean. There is a breakfast that is offered to guests each morning although the selection does not change from day to day.
This is literally the most rundown and horrible hotel ever. A bunch of sketchy people, horrible customer service. The rooms were rundown and dirty. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, STAY FAR AWAY. I couldnt even stay the night, I left and booked a different hotel and they charged me anyways and I never got my money back, HORRIBLE.
Currently staying here for Memorial Day weekend. This hotel needs major improvements and is in need of repairs. Very surprised Wyndham should be embarrassed by the shape of this hotel. Here are my list of problems supported by pictures:1. Multi legged bug found running around the tub.2. Spots of random red blobs all over the carpet.3. Really bad cigarette smell in a non smoking room.4. Bed pillows were only slightly larger than my hand.5. About 1/4 gap all around entry door.6. Light and light fixture in bathroom missing.7. Wood cabinet door below TV was damaged and gouged.8. Ceiling was roughly patched and glossed over with mismatched paint.Im still on vacation at the hotel so I might run into more issues. Im very disappointed with this hotel and do not recommend this place to anyone.
NASTY NASTY NASTYDO NOT RENT THIS PLACEThe bed skirt looks like its never been changed very dirty and you will see in the photo there is a hole in it.The t.v. is blurry there is a refrigerator that you cant use because it doesnt work, the chair in the room has never been dusted and had a cigarette burned in it.In the bathroom there is no place to put your toiletries. The inside of the draws were very dusty. We had to wait 20 minutes for the elevator and when it did arrived it was full and had no choice to walk down the stairs from the 6th floor. The entrance itself is very dirty. I gave it 1 star because I had no choice it deserves none. I simple went by the name because its reputable hotel chain but I guess the chain has been broken here because this place here in 2 words SIMPLY SUCKSyours trulyLMendez &Mjustiniano
I had seen some recent poor reviews online so I was a bit hesitant but I was pleasantly surprised at this motel. My room was clean, with the exception of some very light molding in the shower. My only complaint is that is not very convenient to subways, requiring a walk of about twelve to fifteen minutes over varying gradients.
Do not come to this God forsaken hotel. The lobby is filthy and the free breakfast that they serve is not worth a penny. These are the kind of ppl that make money without adding any quality or value whatsoever it is not worth a dollar to stay in such a decrepid condition of a hotel. They need to clean up, renovated and get new staff. Pitiful.
Other places get away with no available parking with a nice breakfast, there, unless you crave a old bagel and a coffee decaf. Because they are out of regular then you are in luck. I read reviews saying that the view worth price, I could not say the view from my room which was in the basement was what you expected it to be. The bathtub stopper was remove but why complain the water dont drain so there was no need for it. In the end it was better than a park bench, which probably had a better view.
About what you would expect for the price. Breakfast could be improved by having a fully working toaster (not just 2 slices out of 4). It would be even better to invest in a chain style toaster to keep up with the demand on it. Splitting the breakfast tables into 2s and 4s would be make it much easier to access a seat as the current 6 seating tables make it awkward to get in and out of your seat. Location was good, only a few blocks walk from 39th ave station so if you plan on travelling on the subway a lot its a good choice. The room was turned down daily and Shampoo, Conditioner and Lotion provided. The room was equipped with a fridge (including small freezer section). The air conditioning unit was a little loud but worked well. It could also be left on when leaving the room as the electrics are not operated by the key card...which was a dream when you walked in from the scorching heat outside (we visited in july).
One of the worst hotel I ever experienced first off if possible I would give it a minus 2 star . Where do I start the , pros staff are on standby all around the clock . Cons room as a whole was dirty, walls and furniture either was dirty or dusty. Bathroom looks like a bathroom out of a horror movie. Not TOO MENTION I WAS ATTACKED BY BED BUGS. I notified staff and the immediately switched me to another dirty room with No Bed Bugs this time . This hotel should be a last resort!!!!!
The service was impeccable. The guy at the front desk was very attentive and answered all questions that I had asked. He had alot of knowledge about the neighborhood and how we can get places my foot or subway. The room was clean and fully stocked with the essentials.
Ramada was excellent, with great service. Their hotel rooms were very nice, very neat, very peaceful and very comfortable. I didnt really want to leave at my last day there. Therefore I highly recommend Ramada worldwide for anyone who needs a place to rest their heads for a few days. I love Ramada worldwide
The hotel is located in a not so pleasant area. When pulling up to the hotel, you dont even realise your arriving until you see the actual Ramada sign on the dirty run down building. No parking is available, only on the street, which I basically had to circle the block for about 45 minutes to catch someone leaving to grab their spot. The rooms are really small. I stayed in room 205 which had a leak in the bathroom from both the sink and bathtub. I let front desk know, they said they would look into it while I was out during the day. They also said they would switch my room if it couldnt be fixed. Came back later in the evening to the same issue and they would not change my room. They gave me a bunch of towels to dry the washroom floor, and a card to contact the manager with my issue. I sent the manager an email, which he/she has yet to respond to a week later. I traveled all the way from Toronto, Ontario and I expected a certain standard of quality behind the name Ramada. This by no means is a place I would ever stay at again nor recommend to anyone. This location should be ASHAMED to bare the Ramada name. Save your money by not staying here. Spend it wisely at any other hotel.
Booked 8 days here. Location is decent. Toilet in our room has a leak in cistern making it fill up every 20-30 seconds. Breakfast is a bit of a struggle as very small space especially considering the size of the hotel. The bed is huge and very comfortable though :-D definitely the best part!Updating review from 3 to 1. This place is a joke. Breakfast is rediculous. You should book this hotel assuming you dont get breakfast and if you can get food then think of it as a happy bonus. The toaster has been broken since we arrived. Noone cares. Whatever little food they do have runs out quickly and isnt replenished for a long time. I waited 40 minutes today waiting for creme cheese or eggs. (8:50-9:30, no seat. Had to eat a bowl of cereal standing up with a fork as there were no spoons) at 9:30 I gave up as they clearly werent bringing anything else out and asked for some peanut butter/jelly as that had ran out only to be told oh no we stop at 9:30. It literally just turned 9:30 and considering you didnt provide anything for the past half hour it would have been nice to accommodate. Also the leaking toilet in my room is starting to have Chinese water torture effects! Many other places you can go for the price of this place and Id highly recommend you do. feeling pretty robbed here!
The only positive thing I can say is that the location of this hotel is close to the train which is a plus, and every time we interacted w/the staff they were courteous. Other than that everything about this hotel was disgusting. Stains on the sheets, towels, curtains, doors, walls, mold, spider webs in the corners and ceilings, gum and other mysterious leftovers on the floor (which clearly hadnt been cleaned prior to our arrival), an obvious cigarette burn in one of the sheets.....I could go on and on. We paid WAY too much for this place but we were in a pinch and didnt know any better. NOW WE KNOW BETTER. Anyone that stays here and reviews it with more than 1 star must have different standards of cleanliness than us. We expected simple and clean, no frills, I would have even given back the free breakfast which we only ate the oatmeal because they were sealed packets. The hotel rations out the food and starts putting it out the night before so not sure how fresh that is, there will be 30 people pushing and shoving for a crusty bagel and the guy comes out with 5 hardboiled eggs at a time....they ration out everything so they wont run out, I guess???? The counters and toaster and shelves w/the bagels and donuts had about a years worth of buildup on it, we are completely amazed this place didnt have roaches! DONT STAY HERE!
Went for a week long business trip and the hotel should be investigated for false advertising at least. There is NO business center, its just not there. The WIfi literally barely works you cannot vpn from this place. Most limited cable ive had in a hotel remote batterys needed changedA/Cs are improperly installed causing a mold smell, constant dampness and very possibly how i got sick afterwards.tons of soap scum in the bathroomNO ICE MACHINE, No food vending machines, No drink vending machines, no water fountain. you can walk down a semi sketchy 4 blocks to the gas station for a snack or simple juice/soda whatever. No outdoor benches so if you need a break from the mold you can sit on milk carriers outside the hotel. The doors have no insulation seal you can see light all around the door which makes every small noise from outside easily heard.Room service is aggressive, the try to force themselves in, relying on the catch latch to keep them out, even if you say not right now or im fine or your trying to sleep. No microwave in the building you get a mini fridge so expect to eat out if your going to stay here.No parking but down the street there is a parking garage that has 24hour as i should assume youll taxi your way around. No do not disturb signsone of 2 cards instantly did not work for the doorIt was so bad ive since boycotted any ramada and wyndom or affiliates, never been so uncomfortable in my life. I did not pick this place the price is an obvious red flag, had i had time to review i would have denied it before leaving and booked elsewhere.
Located only one train stop from Manhattan it is in a very convenient location. This is not the best district in Long Island City and the hotel service is limited. Complementary breakfast has a reasonable range of hot and cold food but the location is very basic with plastic utensils and clean your own table.
Rude staffs, horrible food, the bathroom has dirty stains. Asked for more blankets and the receptionist told us to use what we already have. Not accomadating at all. One of the front desk guy was extremely rude and wouldnt tell his name. The hotel is about 10 mins walk to 3 different train stations. But There are other hotels same area and close to the train. I recommend to try the other hotels (Best Western, Sheraton, ....)
A wonderful place to come with the whole family. Hotel and rooms were clean and well maintained, staff very polite and helpful, breakfast much better than what we expected for a continentalbreakfast. Very conveniently located for getting into Manhatten on the subway, quiet neighborhood that we felt safe in even coming home later at night. Dont have a bad word to say, would definitely come back again. Thanks!
I was here for work, I ended up getting the flu. Woke up at 2pm, found that there was power issues, no water pressure. Let alone hot water. Remind you, the flu. So I go and try to crank the heater. To no surprise, it wont kick on...I finally rest through my fevers to pack my stuff and leave. As I stood at the front desk, they were refusing guests, sending them to country inn and suites. I told her I was checking out and was refused a partial refund for the circumstances.Im sick, I needed to go to a different hotel just so I can take a shower and try to get better.Review would have not been submitted had they done whats right and gave me a half price room because they are having issues.
Hotel is okay but not breathtaking. Its in an old building with dirty, broken remote for the tv. The phone had no dialtone at first until i flipped a switch underneath the unit. Even then I could not make a local call. The staff does a good job in keeping it as tidy as possible, however, they are not super talkative and forthcoming. 3 stars for the fact we slept in a bed.
Not a Ramada. Its far from a Ramada. I booked just based on the name and got burned. Its not a Ramada. My door didnt close all the way and my blankets had cigarette burns in them. A whole lotta sweet nothing for amenities. But the staff are nice. Seems like a family run place. Needs upgrades.
Check in quick in easy. Found free street parking on the left side of Cresent. Right side is meter parking and both sides you have to move car on street sweep days. Mold and mildew in shower. Missing smoke detector. Hair and urine on back of toliet. Marks on the wall. For the price did not complain, just cleaned it with cleaning supplies I brought with me. We brought our own sheets, towels, and wash clothes.Breakfast was donuts, toast, bagels, eggs, sauage, yogurt, cereal, bananas. Lots of resturants in walking distance. Only 7 min walk to the Subway. Some staff were friendlier than others. Would I stay again for 6 days, no. 1 night, maybe. Location 4 stars. Hotel 2 stars
Stayed in February for 5 daysRoom: stayed on 8th floor with city view, room was spacious, heating and cooling worked, hot nd cold water were available. Pillows were very small. Carpet was a bit dirty around bed and bed side tables. Room service was done every other day.Location: 8-10 min walk to subway station, 15-20 min train ride to Manhattan. Good restaurants available near the main streets where the subway stations are, for example 31st or Queens Plaza Rd.Hotel: staff were ok, nothing exceptional. Breakfast with donuts, juice, bread, cereal, egg was ok; not restaurant quality, but will get you through the morning.
I spent four nights here, the first two nights i didnt want a bed change. But decide i wanted the room clean the 3rd night. I left money in front the television. I t was gone, when i call the front desk they told me the cleaners thinks its tip. Then i had my personal belongings in a bag( sanitary napkins). It was too gone, call the front desk and he cant give me an answer to where my stuff went. My husband got bitten by something at night his legs were swollen. And also cockroaches crawling in front the TV
Very middle of the road; this hotel is not nice, but its not a rathole either. The staff are not friendly at all and the rooms are small, but the location is very good - three subway stops within .5 mile walk. If you just need a place to crash its not bad. If you need a place to spend a good amount of time or maybe conduct some business, I would look elsewhere.
The rooms were very dirty and smelled like previous guest was smoking pot. Very poor customer service and my room charged was doubled due to error with receptionist. There was no cable; had to use Netflix on my laptop for entertainment for my kid, see pic. Gives Ramada hotels a very bad reputation!!
Good value. Location close to subways, but not so close to Queens Boulevard that one hears the loud 7-train and traffic late at night. Continental breakfast in the morning, in the drafty lobby. Free wi-fi, and the room includes the amenities of ironing board, percolator, refrigerator, telephone, ethernet and safe box. Overall the establishment is clean, and the staff efficient (all foreigners, so chit chat is pointless).
The negative reviews on dirt are true but exaggerated, youll have to weight whether the low prices warrant the tradeoff. A former NYC-er, I and family just spent a nite there to visit family and just needed a decent clean close to Manhattan room for 4. It was a great deal - about the lowest priced 2 star in the city (even lower than the airports hotels) and had all the usual Ramada trappings. Hotwire upon request upgraded me to a 2 double beds instead of a single queen room that I booked.I didnt see the other reviews until after I booked, so was particularly on the lookout for the mentioned problems, esp. bedbugs. I didnt find any bugs but they could wash the bedding better - had to return a pillow that had hair on it and the carpeting was pretty dirty.Everything worked - refrig, coffee machine, flat screen, lights, etc, and the bath was probably about 2-3 years old so pretty clean. The double beds were kind of lumpy but we were tired so that didnt stop us from sleeping. Sheets were clean but one bedding cover looked stained-they are definitely due for replacement. The view out my 5th floor room was of the Manhattan skyline so that was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast - cereals, waffle press, yogurt, eggs, sausage, bagel/bread, donuts, juice and coffee (machines broken but pitchers were provided) were insufficient, cleaned out quickly, so show up early. The all Asian Indian crew were friendly, helpful and courteous.Location is in the midst of working class residential apts/ auto repair shops/ self laundry shops, about 15 min to the local subway or if you drive right into the entrance of the 59th street bridge into Manhattan. Theres only street parking - a few vacant spots here and there within the block and I didnt have any problems parking within the block.
Horrible customer service all around from the staff to the corporate headquarters. My partner & I couldnt get a good night sleep for the 2nights we were checked in, because of the crack heads who were inthe room across from us were loudly arguing at 3 am for those 2 nights. The police showed up on the second night & were prepared to kick themout. The manager said no, that theyll be checking out that morning. We spent over $400 for those nights. When we came down to the front desk to complain & demanded a refund or compensation because of the incident the following morning, they were rude & refused to take accountability for not kicking them out in the first place. When my partner called to ask when the manager was coming in to discuss the issue further, either the staff never answered the phone & went to voice mail or they never knew when he s scheduled to come in. The manager never showed up. I dont recommend checking into this so called hotel.
If the reason you want to book this hotel because of the low price over everyone else and because its close to the City (Manhattan) please, I warn you do not stay at this hotel.I booked a one night stay at this hotel and regretted it 1 hour I to my stay. I stayed in room 103, which was right next to the lobby. The front desk clerk was very young and had friends at the counter when I approached to check in, what made me feel ackward is that the clerk friends and himself were speaking to one another in their language while taking my credit card and identification. Once in my room, I began to feel extremely unsafe. The lobby was full of the front clerks friends, they were talking very loudly and carrying on as if it was a soccer game going on. A lot of banging on the tables. The room that was directly next to mine was one of the employees room, he was in and out of that room slamming his door and talking loudly on his cell phone in his language.I never did get the sleep I was looking for. She the person was going in and out of his room it sounded like someone was coming into my room. It was the most horrible stay I ever stayed in any hotel.Do not book a room at this hotel, youll regret it. When I left at 6am (not my intended time to check out due to me not getting my proper rest and the paranoia I felt, I wanted out of this hotel) I made a complaint of what I been through and the man at the counter didnt apologize but told me if I book again theyll be sure to put on a different floor. This was an insult to me. I just walked out without ever looking back.
(0 star) because the management is very poor and the room feels very bad in quality terms for a 200$ room, BTW NO PARKING EITHER. Ramada is one of my favorites but not in this location. This has not been a bad experience for me alone but also many others as you will see when you search this specific Ramada location on Google.Things to watch out for!1. Nasty carpet2. Broken lamps and necessities3. Ripped old wrinkled sheets4. Old furniture5. Spending money on a room like this
We were robbed in this establishment, the way the hotel employees handled the situation was kicking us out after money and a laptop were stolen out of our room. We had then been advised by the police that this location is not good at all. Alot of criminal activity is in the establishment. I actually seen it for my self. If you go to my facebook you will see how easy it is to break into your room with out putting in the hotel key in the card reader. We had a random guest as well do the same to check it out and he also was able to break into the room. This hotel is unsafe please beware!!!!! to also top it off they have no common courtesy and no sympathy. They had cameras but told the police when doing the report they do not record so you are not safe
Do Not Stay Here!!!!! Their bed bugs sent me to the emergency room!! I stayed here for a business trip and was bitten by bed bugs and had a horrible allergic reaction to the bites. Front desk and housekeeping assured me that the manager would call me it has been almost a week and still no call. Expiedia even called on my behalf and has not been contacted by this so called Manager. Im pretty sure it is owned and ran by the Indian family that is always at the desk. This place does Bad Business!! Wish I could give negative stars.
Its a basic hotel recommend for those you only need a clean room and a free continental breakfast. The only issue we found is just the small place for having breakfast and the food always run out over 8:00a.m. On the other hand, it has a good location. It will only takes you 20 min to get Times Square.
No, just No! I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. Never in my life have I ever seen such terrible customer service at the front desk. The front desk person was so rude, AND gave my room away right in front of me. It turned out to be for the best, I ended up going to the Four Points by Sheraton around the block, I spent a few more dollars and it was completely worth it. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE!!!
BED BUGS! Never, and I mean NEVERRRR will I ever stay at this hotel again. These guys make the Ramada brand look absolutely terrible. Stood ONE night, or at least tried. Laid down for about 20-30 minutes at 4am, felt a bite and thought I had been bitten by a mosquito. Looked around, nothing. Turned off lights and back to rest. Another bite minutes later, thought ok there has to be a sneaky mosquito around. Nothing. Back to sleep. 20 minutes later.. a track of bites on me. Told myself, ok this is the end.. felt something moving on chest (slept with my clothes on thankfully). Reversed the front color of my shirt and low and behold, A BED BUG!!!This was beyond terrifying since I have had somewhat of a small infestation over 8 years ago. To see this was very traumatizing. I then went to front desk and ask for a full refund. Worker tells me he cant till manager gets in at 9. It was literally 5/6am in the morning. Didnt sleep. Called Priceline and they had me run around for a reimbursement because its Non-refundable and at the owners discretion. Wasnt surprised. Upon research on this hotel, the manager is said to be very nasty, kicks people out of the hotel and never reimburses. This isnt the first and last time theyve had a complaint about bed bugs worse than mine. Myself and my girlfriend had to THROW OUT our expensive clothes just to be sure we did not bring any home since they spread like WILDFIRE. Their way of handling it was to give me another room. No way on Gods green earth would I even EVER take an offer like that after a bedbug(s) is discovered. When I told them check me out and give me/destroy the copy made of my license and debit card, they refused.. CANNOT BE TRUSTED, PERIOD. Come to find out, they are privately owned.. Basically they pay Ramada a franchise fee to use the Ramada hotel name. This brings brand trust, which means customers feel safe to book expecting a pleasant stay. Here? DEFINITELY NOT the case. For security reasons, I will just say that this was an 8th floor room.REPORT THIS HOTEL IMMEDIATELY. If they or a 3rd party (priceline and others) give you a hard time for reimbursement, REPORT to your bank and file a claim, then report them to the Department of Health. Their business will shut down sooner than you think. Little do they know that BY LAW there is consumer protection in New York and signing off on Non-refundable is already voided by this. They have a rude awakening coming their way. SHARE THIS
Okay let me start by saying that I have probably left 2 bad reviews ever. Now from the start when I arrived the scene was not what I have ever experienced with Ramada, many suspicious characters (to be nice) outside, the room was not clean (yes I have pics) and the whole night people slamming doors leaving in and out. (Reminds me of a scene out of a brothel movie)I checked out and will not be back.
Not a safe place (Ive complainted about missing items from my room and the manager didnt even wanted to talk to me or my husband)...it is dirty (perfect place for bedbugs) and the washroom was disgusting. Very disappointed about everything in this hotel. Not recommend, at all.
Stay away. They stole our money. Professional con artist work here. Poor hotel, rude staff, poor breakfast, etc. They are not close to the subway and you have to walk through a very dangerous neighborhood (projects). Bed bugs, couldnt sleep, itching all night with bumps in the morning. Horrible.
Dirty pillow cases...Dirty carpet in the hall way...Square small pillow on the bed no regular pillows...Cold smelly bathroom towels ...Bad internet...I couldnt believe I m in Ramada hotel.Took them 24 mins to get me fresh pillow cases!!I wish we could post pictures for reviews and I would suggest any future traveler to avoid such establishments...
This hotel has a very good location, it is not far from Queens Boro metro station. However, as a turist who was traveling from Orlando to NY I received a message telling me that I needed to update my credit card number again... That was the morning i was flying to NY, So I tried to call to the hotel to confirm that everything was OK but nobody answered the phone. Then, I was not sure about the exact hour to check in and i needed to make sure everything was good and no answer from the reception.... Once I arrived to the hotel, the amenities were already used.... And to finish... Last day I forgot my gold necklace at the room and I called to the hotel and someone answered and told me to call in 5 min to verify the room and I called back again and since then nobody has answer the phone. I think this way of communication it is important because neither mails nor phone calls are taken into account for turists that we came from different parts of the world.
Location is GREAT!... Few blocks away from the train station. Train N will take you to Manhattan in 10 minutes. It is NOT a luxury hotel, but it is clean and rooms are comfortable and spacious.Only thing I didnt like is that there is no food/covenience stores around that open 24 hours.
Diabolical place. There are so many fake reviews on here honestly. All the ones about bed bugs, dodgy characters, smoke, smells, slamming doors = all true. We were completed duped into booking this on the basis of the name Ramada but it was unlike any Ramada Id ever stayed in. Avoid avoid avoid.
Because rude people in front of counter not English speaking.. has very bad odor in reception area. This place has become like a shelter drugs, police atests tenants in there come out and go into other properties its becoming very bad. People from hotel throwing garbage on floors in trash all over it has become living hazard with this place!!!!!
Hotel staff was very RUDE! MILDEW in the shower. Breakfast area was too small. We had to wait for the cook/housekeeper to microwave sausage from the previous day. Eggs were cold. On the 1st morning, cook/housekeeper picked up leftover donuts with her hands and put them away for the next day! Milk was sour! Tang was served instead of orange juice! The entire staff were VERY RUDE!!! The lady at the desk snapped at me when I checked in! I will never stay here again! Family run business! RUDE! NASTY PEOPLE! NOTHING GOOD ABOUT THIS PLACE! ROOMS ARE TOO SMALL ALSO!!! I had to call twice for a broken stopper in the sink. Then I had to call for more towels! TERRIBLE HOTEL! AD on internet was misleading!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
We rented multiple rooms while in New York for a conference and these guys ransacked two of them during the day put my staffs clothes in garbage bags and re-rented the rooms. They tried to kick out another guest in the middle of the night and sprayed toilet water all over one of the bathrooms and didnt clean it up. Not to mention this is a pretty scary area... Stay here at your own risk!
Was here for four days first time in New york... if I was riding my motorcycle and just stopping for the night it would do. .. but being a tourist and trying to enjoy New York.. this place is horrible. ... sheets feel like plastic... the breakfast. .. was like stopping at a gas station and they didnt offer anything. ....I will never stay here again. ... the only positive thing was it was 3 blocks from the trains
So-called Jacuzzi tub jets and drain so dirty I dont have the words to describe how filthy nasty. Their motto is Do What You Want but you cant bring food to your room, cant have alcoholic beverages, you do not have full use of the television and the Internet service sucks.
My Wife and I stayed at the Ramada for 6 nights and five days.We used it as a base for our first trip to NY and in fact our first trip to the States. After arriving from our flight from London we got a cab straight to hotel and where greeted by a smile and shown to our 10th floor room with a wonderfull view of the Manhatton skyline which was amazing. The room was clean and tidy with a huge TV and all the towels we needed.During our stay we had a great time and not one issue with the hotel. The reception staff let us print from the computer without charge.OK the breakfast is not the best but there are three Delis within a five minute walk so I popped out in the morning and came back with a light breakfast before we walked around New York all day.The surrounding area is not the nicest looking but friendly and we found it very safe. We came back at all hours and did not encounter any problems at all.Two blocks up from the Hotel is a 24hr Petrol station that sells everything so there was always people around. Also its a ten minute walk from 36th street where there is a great bar called the Mad Donkey and a couple of decent restaurants as well. We would certainly stay here when we come back for our next visit to New York
WORST SERVICE OF RAMADA. I will never choose ramada again in my life nor will suggest someone to choose. Continuously there was some water noise , towel are very stinky , nor there wifi was working, no basis amenities where given by the hotel staff, they were so rude in replying answer. Request CEO of ramada , hotel service is the main priority for success, look after your team of managers as i am having 2nd bad experience in ramada. Kerala ramada was also the worst experience i had now the Canada. Had a luxury stay in country inn last night.
There is a bugs inside the bathroom...the worker and the reception not friendly and rude.I just left my jeans skirt and black blouse behinds the bathroom door, but the next day we called..they said they dont see it...I know very sure I put it there..what a thief worker, the person we called, they dont even bother to help and very rude..
I stayed there for a few days when I visited New York City The Price is Right But the room I stayed in was not up to par lighting was falling bathroom was not very pleasing I had a broken television remote that was taped up so the batteries will not fall out but Housekeeping did come everyday make my bed keep it clean it was a place for me to rest it looks like they rent out by the week also there is no parking other than on the street and you have to pay the meter there is a parking garage down the road they said but we never did look for it theres a couple of residential streets close where we parked for the week and just caught the subway it was not far maybe a 10 minute walk for the subway there free breakfast is nothing to write home about its Dunkin Donuts some eggs cereal coffee and Sunny D orange juice of course milk and other stuff and bread but Ive had better breakfast at other hotels if I stayed here again I think I would check my room and if its not up to par I would ask for another room its non-smoking but you cant smell smoke in the hallways at times I got up early had breakfast and came back late and slept so I dont know anything about amenities so if you need a cheap place to stay thats close to Subway and youre not too picky about cleanliness this is a spot to do just that
Let me start by saying that from the very first moment we entered this place seemed like it was a big mistake.. given the fact that the city was busy for the holiday this was the only place I could make a reservation in.. 2 rooms for 4 people.. upon entering the front door person was extremely rude and not at all pleased to be there.. then we hear from one of the guests that the internet hasnt been working all day and sure enough that was the case for the duration of our stay.. thank god it was just for one night.. so we go up to the rooms one on the 2nd floor and one on the 9th floor.. as soon as we walk in we noticed that the curtains had bad stains and they were ripped and also the bathroom towel rack was broken.. then we are trying to go out for dinner and the elevator had a not stuck to it that said out of order.. mind you the room is on the top floor.. 9th to be exact.. then when we come back and ask if the street parking is free since its a holiday we were told no and when we wake up to move the cars someone said that it was ok to leave it since it is a holiday.. what kind of operational business is this.. never again.. no elevator.. no internet.. no curtains.. no rack.. what exactly did I pay for?? I will never step foot inside this place again..
I visited this hotel Jan 2018 Room isn’t well clean, nasty carpet, no hot water, toilet was clogged, housekeeping didn’t clean up the room, they just took the dirty towels and didn’t replace, they didn’t shovel the front of the building(snow), breakfast was included 7am-9am but it wasn’t even warm.
If I can put no stars I will first off horrible horrible horrible the place is dirty beyond measure the bed is a rock we had king size with two pillows I asked for extra they had none no vending machine just drinks the heat was broking had to keep turning on n off to get heat ugh the worst

2022-03-28This hotel should be closed down . Imagine paying more than 80$ a night for a hotel that has roaches are sheets are dirty and stained while staff is rude . My family and I used to stay here often but we realized this place is so disgusting and dirty and not worth the money . The staff says that the checkout time is at 11am but is knocking on the door at 10:50 AM.. I don’t understand. DO NOT COME HERE ITS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. If I could give this hotel zero I would in a heartbeat.

2021-08-29Customer service was horrible. There was no amenities at all and I was also asked to wait for a room that was prebooked. I was told to go get my own towels out of the staff closet. There was roaches . the room had clearly not been cleaned i found a receipt in the bed dated August 25 i checked in on the 27. Oh and there was stains all over the room in the most random places

2019-07-14I would give zero stars if it was an option! We spent 3 nights at this hotel. The reception itself is dirty, that gave us an unwelcome feeling. The Room was very small though we booked a business suite, shower was covered in mildew and the room was smelly! Bedsheets were not clean at all and on top of all that we had 4 couch pillows to sleep instead of bed pillows and I ended up with a bed bug infection! Because of the condition of the hotel we never tried their breakfast. I will never recommended this hotel to anybody!! The only good thing is the subway is in walking distance. Waste of money!

2021-05-19If I could give negative stars I would. The room was filthy. Walls covers in splashes who knows what. Shower and bed had hair from last guests. Shower curtain was full of mildew, under the bed had never been cleaned. There were cigarette butts, bottles, dirty socks, and more. The mattress cover had different color stains. It was horrible

2019-07-14Check in experience was extremely smooth. Was given the 5th floor room and a strange odour greeted me when I step out of the big elevator. This stench was present throughout my one week stay. Interior was a bit dated but suffice. Coffee maker and fridge were useful. Quite roomy feel especially the granite finished bathroom. Location is excellent with metro lines crisscrossing the area. TV channels were limited though. Bright morning light shines through the big glass window. The room offers a modest wardrobe and iron board.

2018-12-17Steer clear of this place!! This was the worst hotel stay Ive ever experienced. Furst, they charged me $30 for early check-in. Our room was spacious but was missing one of the blackout drapes. The bathroom was spacious but our shower walls were covered in mold!!! When we requested a different room they said they couldnt because they were sold out. They made no attempt or offer to do anything at all to fix it!! I asked for some extra pillow and the same lady who works the front desk at night said she couldnt give me any more pillows. The housekeeper who serviced our room did not bother to wash our glasses or replenish the in-room coffee supplies. She left my dirty mug right were I left it. If there is a problem with your stay dont expect them to do anything to fix it because they couldnt care less!! I will never stay here again!

2018-11-07If youre looking for a hotel strictly for sleeping, or a quick overnight, this is a good choice. Room wasnt ready by 3:00 for check in, lobby area was constantly getting swept up from all the leaves that blew in when the doors opened. The personnel at the desk upon check in, although friendly and well mannered, tried to overcharge my card. The next shift at the desk called me down so that he could process the refund that wasnt processed earlier. The free breakfast wasnt that appetizing. Not sure I would stay here again.

2017-06-29The room it self was nice and for the most part clean. the tub didnt drain the walls where in need of paint and the lamp shades needed to be replaced. We had a great view Room 807. The rooms where cleaned every day and it was nice. the smell of weed in the hotel was over powering but I could not smell it in the room it self. The location is not bad it was not in the ghetto but not far from it either. The breakfast was a joke they yelled at my mom for using a spoon to mix her coffee and not a stir stick. For the amount of money we paid it should have been better. But hey you live and you learn.

2018-12-03Thinking about price point and hotel, it’s probably a good deal, because location is very convenient, close to subway. We stayed on top floor with a beautiful view towards the city lights, which was the best part of our stay. The room is mediocre, the king size bed is super comfortable, but they should invest into new pillows. Some complementary water would be a definitely considered option. The room itself was ok, it had all that you need for a few days stay: closet with hangers, drawers, mini fridge, few mirrors and night stands, tv.Bathroom set wasn’t the best, but usable. Hotel was somewhat clean, they provide regular breakfast which I ate only once, so not sure if it’s always the same or changes. There were a few options of cereal with milk, donuts, bread and bagels right next to the toaster, eggs and sausages, some kind of drinks, coffee and tea and bananas. It’s just a bit weird that reception and eating area is all together right as you come in.Not the best, but good enough for a short stay.
