Service department is a joke. They know little to nothing and try to take advantage of customers who dont know any better. They will try their hardest to get out of a warranty repair. Held my key hostage because they tried to charge me a diagnostic fee when the car had an active TSB and was under warranty. Claimed to find no issues after a test drive and diagnostic scan (manual transmission problem, what are you scanning??). TSB said to change fluid and takes 1/2 hr, they tried to charge me for a full hour. This dealership is a disgrace to Ford.
I went for an oil change yesterday and I have never been to a dealership where every single person I spoke to was so friendly and helpful. Most of my family members are mechanics/body guys/worked with cars in other capacities, so I got spoiled by going to family or the same people/small shops most of my life. I have been dreading having to find a new go-to place, especially a dealership. I am so happy with my experience at Ramp Motors and feel really good knowing I have this place nearby, especially when Im in the market for a new car-I hated the last dealership I went to and would be so happy to transfer my business here. I also wanted to note what an incredible job they did with cleanliness during this pandemic. Everything looked super clean and employees were constantly wiping down cars and surfaces. While I know I was just in for something routine, I was super pleased with the experience.
Just picked up my Ford Escape last night and I have to say that this was truly the best experience I have ever had when buying a car.As a single woman who has walked into several dealerships alone, I know how intimidating it can be. Rob Smith exemplifies what it is to truly be in Sales by fostering relationships with his costumers. His easy going personality makes you feel like you’ve known him for years and he takes the time to fully understand your needs so that he can guide you accordingly; nothing more or less. He is extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer any question I threw his way. Rob handled everything quickly and efficiently and was available whether I showed up at the dealership, or tried reaching him by phone or email. I literally gave him something that multiple dealerships had told me was impossible to work with, and he was able to come through for me.When I went to pick up my car, I had assumed I would be there several hours (as I’ve experienced in the past). Even with trading in my current leased vehicle early and signing all of the necessary paperwork, I was shocked to be walking out so quickly! My parents began working with Rob many years ago and have since brought several family members and friends on board with them. I’m so glad to finally be a part of this extended Ford Family now and I hope anyone reading this takes a chance on Rob and Ramp Ford.Great experience all around. Thank you!
I would recommend this place over all dealers on Long island. Not a Ford fan? Then think about changing your mind, because life is about the people who sell and finance and service the products too. Ford products are fine and there are lots of choices for your taste there. But remember the PEOPLE you deal with are part of the overall experience you will have. My household is moving soon on its 5th lease from Ramp. Ive owned other brand cars too. But long after those cars were gone - and I barely remember the drive - I still remember how I was treated by people at those other dealerships. Id love to name the 2 to 3 guys there at Ramp I really like dealing with, but I dont want this review coming off as a paid or friend of a friend advertisement to drum up business for them. Totally not the case... They are quality guys on their own no ads needed. After a home, buying or leasing a car or truck is like the next biggest thing money wise.. Go to Ramp. Be treated like a respectable person by respectable people. That memory will last a lifetime, the Vehicles - they come and go. I also have a 19 year old Ford Explorer these guys have taken care of a few times. When Im done with it or its done with me, the memory of Ramp tied to it - will live on as part of it, and both will be sweet.
Recently I had my daughters new 2020 Explorer ST serviced at Ramp Ford for a defective tail light. Despite not purchasing the vehicle at Ramp, the service department treated me like family. Unlike the Ford dealership that we leased her explorer from who treated us like garbage. Steve and Nicole treated me like I was a customer for years, with excellent customer service and quite a few laughs. I could not be happier and I look forward to servicing her explorer there for all its future needs. When her lease is up we will definitely look to Ramp Ford first! Thanks Again Steve and Nicole for the amazing customer service!
Got to the service department as soon as they opened. Greeted by a a very nice gentleman. Associates were lined up ready to go. Everyone is so nice. Nicole took care of us and followed up with a phone call. Looking forward to bringing my Explorer back for Service. Shuttle Service is great too. They took us right to our house.
Got a lease for a 2016 Ford Escape here. Customer service was prompt, polite, and forward with answering any questions I had about their policies. 10k miles into my lease, and so far everything has been good with the routine visits to the Service Department too.I see a lot of really negative reviews here over things that seem to be exaggerated anecdotes. Think twice before you take the word of strangers over the internet.
After another ford dealership tried to charge me $1800 for a part under warranty I decided to give ramp a try. They diagnosed and fixed the issue in two hours and it was covered under the warranty. I have always had pleasant experiences with the service department. I am a very satisfied customer
Ive purchased three different vehicles at Ramp, the first in 1998 and Ive always had them serviced there. I have NEVER had a problem with them. The service department is exceptional... Purchasing the vehicles was great. They make you feel like family. I wouldnt go anywhere else.
Fantastic Experience here. Sales rep Dan was very helpful and friendly and helped find the right car my wife and I needed. Owners Steve and Wayne very friendly and helped at each point of the purchasing process. Was out the door with the new car very quickly and helped with the transition from old car to new. Thanks again.
Brought in my 2013 edge for a bad wheel bearing. The girl making the appointment over the phone was pleasant enough, but told me nothing about what I needed to bring in. As soon as I show up, the guy at the service desk starts off with I need your insurance or registration or I cant do anything for you. Their computers were down and when I told them I had the enterprise rental guy outside (forget a courtesy car here) he said I can only do what I can do. Two days later, I call them to ask what the status of the car is. Everyone seemed confused as to who I was, until the same guy who checked me in answered abruptly by saying its done. I told him nobody ever called and he very rudely stated I called . I use my phone for a living. Nobody called, nobody left a voicemail, I checked 3 times after I hung up. I went to get the car and the guy motions to the payment desk without looking up. These guys act like they are doing you a favor. Remember when customer service was provided in return for your hard earned money? Ramp Ford. The company I work for buys over 100 ford vehicles per YEAR for their fleet. I will never recommend Ramp for service and if this is how Ford treats their customers it may be time to look at another manufacturer in June when its time for a new car.
Im currently on my 3rd vehicle from Ramp Ford. The three reasons I continue to get my vehicles here are: 1) the quality product they sell, 2) the service department is wonderful, especially my service guy Jovanni. He is so knowledgeable and trustworthy and is always happy to help! I rarely visit the service department for reasons other than oil changes and maintenance (because my cars/SUVs have always been reliable), but whenever I visit, Jovanni makes it painless! 3) Rob Smith, my Salesman. Rob is the opposite of what you consider a stereotypical car salesman. He is nice, truthful and trustworthy and goes the extra mile to get you a deal you are happy with! In fact, my entire family and some of my friends deal with Rob! Its a wonderful thing when the salesperson you like is still there year after year. I think that speaks volumes!
I feel that the teen working the counter at Pep Boys is more competent of Ramp’s service department. Anyone who knows about cars knows that when you turn off your car vacuum stays in brake booster, so when you get back in car the pedal is still soft. You may notice if the car is off and you pump the brakes it will get hard to depress the pedal. Well here was my problem with ramp, I left the car there for a week because intermittently I would get in my 2017 car in the morning and the pedal is rock hard, indicating there is no vacuum in the booster most likely just a check valve. So these guys call me back saying they can’t replicate it which is a lie because it happens to me at least once a day, so I get to go back and forth with them as they give me the run around and I finally get them to admit that something might be wrong but “don’t worry about it! It should be fine. As long as it’s working when it’s running you’re good!” So now I will go and get out of warranty in a few weeks and I’m sure it will happen every time I turn off car with my luck. I could only imagine the BS they spew to people who aren’t knowledgeable in cars. So please if that describes you PLEASE get second opinions when dealing with these guys. Its not like brakes are important anyway!
Called to see about getting an oil change and having a Brake fluid level low warning checked out. Was told they are an appointment only repair shop and the next appointment was 8 days away! This ontop of having to wait 9 months for a catalytic converter to be replaced under warranty years ago with a 2005 Focus a few years back makes me urge everyone to stay far far far away from this lame excuse of a dealership!Sales department is not much better after attempting to purchase a Ford Focus in 2015. Was given the runaround and false information numerous times!Stay away! This dealership is a rip off!
FYI their service department is only open Monday - Friday 8-5 and they dont give out loaners even if your car is still under the manufacturer AND you bought Ford Premium care, They expect you to take off of work which is not an acceptable option these days. At least the staff was nice.
The service dept is horrible. Had my truck 2 weeks and broke it more than it was and made me pay to fix it. Wouldnt fix the problem due to only having one diesel tech and he is to old they said to do it. Its to big of a job for him. It was under warranty also. Dont buy a diesel truck from them if you want it fix ever! Guess they should be called Jiffy Ford. They only want to change oil and wipers!
Charles was amazing! My wife and I were expecting our first child and literally the day of the sonogram we left the doctors office and went straight to Ford. I made it simple, I walk in a say Put her in that! Referring to the fully loaded Ford Escape sitting on the showroom floor. Charles laughed and said ooook lets see what we can do. Just over an hour later, the truck we were admiring was getting ready to come off the floor and into prep! He was very easy with the process, we told him what we could afford to put down and our max limit a month and he was bellow both!! VERY satisfied with him and the crew!
Good hassle free service. Only four stars because prices are a bit high. They have both full service auto repair and maintenance shop. The showroom has a full complement of Ford vehicles for sale and eager salespersons along with finance people eager to sell extended warranties. Vehicles include small electric cars to large trucks.
My vehicle is still under the factory bumper-to-bumper warranty. I went to Ramp for what was hopefully warranty service. My vehicle has a very commonly known problem that comes with TSBs and even an investigation from the NHTSA. I left my vehicle with Ramp for a few days to be told that they couldnt find my problem. Thats perfectly fine, and I completely understand that they need to replicate the issue. However, I was then given a bill for a little over $120. The service advisor said that since they couldnt find my problem, Id have to pay the diagnostic fee. While some people would agree with the advisor, what he said after that is what made him 100% wrong. When the advisor was asked why they would charge $120 for just a road test that takes not even 5 minutes, I was told that more than a road test occurred. Please note my vehicle has a MANUAL transmission. The tech apparently ran a diagnostic scan on my vehicle and also checked my fluid. First of all, there is nothing you can scan for in a manual transmission. Secondly, if low transmission fluid was the source of the problem, I wouldnt be at the dealer in the first place. There is a current TSB that states to change the transmission fluid to a higher viscosity to help the problem. It is listed as 0.5 hours. That is HALF of what I was charged (1 hour), and work would actually have been done to the vehicle. Instead, I was charged a full hours worth of diagnostic work for a simple road test. I previously went to another Ford dealership for the same problem. They also road tested my vehicle, but did not charge me a dime. I also recently spoke with another dealership and they did not agree with Ramps customer service.I was also told that the minor modifications (that the previous owner who is a Ford tech installed) would void my entire warranty anyways. My vehicle has a cold air intake, aftermarket exhaust, and has lowering springs/larger rims installed. The issue here is simply a greedy dealership whos trying to get money out of people who dont know better.
I just returned my 2012 Edge and got absolutly destroyed on my end of lease wear and tear charges. $1400 dollars they are charging me for 2 minor scratches on 2 different panels and 1 rim that has scratches on the chrome. Absolute nonsense. I knew this was going to happen. I had went to my saleman 6 months prior to returning my lease and he said no worries, they are great with lease returns, youll be fine (Rob Smith). And sure enough $1400 they are charging me after 39 lease payments. I gave them a fortune in lease payments and returned the car in great shape. I was in their administrative office explaining my situation and that I was a unsatified customer. They did NOTHING and got nasty with me. Steve rampone standing right there and he did NOTHING, not one word. I said Im a unhappy customer, my customer satisfaction is very low. They did nothing. Sorry sir heres your bill for $1400 dollars. After all Ive given to them, they couldnt do anything for me. Plus their service stinks and those guys never give you an explination for anything. They told me they redirected a hose for me and it cost $275. The people there are scam artists. They lie and take your money without any justification. They have no customer loyalty. They dont take care of their unhappy customers. I am never going back to ramp for EVER. Horrible business practice. I highly recommend NOT GOING TO RAMP FORD!!!!
I can honestly say my experience buying my pre owned Toyota Tacoma at Ramp Ford was very positive . The Salesman Dan Iovino was pleasant to deal with. No high pressure sales here. I went back several times and test drove the Tacoma. Dan was very accommodating and made the entire process of buying another truck a good experience. My Tacoma was ready when he promised. I highly recommend Dan Iovino and Ramp Ford.
Ramp ford is such a nice place to buy a car at from the minute i walk in the door they were nice friendly and professional, the salesman thank me no less than 4 times for my business , the finance manager all he care about was getting me the best rate possibly and he did , it was and amazing buying experience Highly Recommended
I had the airbags replaced in my mustang , the service department was very professional and friendly and it only took a few hours to complete the job, they also drove me home while the car was being worked on and picked me up to bring me back to the dealership when the job was completed.
Dont ever go here total liars once you give them money for ordering parts and they cant get them they will hold on to your money for three weeks and say its because of your bank nothing but lies come out of there mouths worst ford dealership on long island if you go there dont believe a word they say

2022-04-19Went in to have the battery changed in the key fob. 3 agents were sitting at their computers and a couple of the mechanics, chit-chatting. They told me to go to “parts”. The guy there was on the phone and after waiting for over 10 minutes, I asked if anybody else could help me. They all shrugged and refused till another guy showed up and helped. After he changed the battery, the key fob still didn’t work. Though it was clear they were not busy they said i needed an appointment to get the key reprogrammed (for $80+ ) or get a new key fob (for $130+). They “could not get me in” till 3 days later (for the 1/2 hr to reprogram the key, for which they charge the full service hour!).The service at this Ford dealership has gotten quite poor. My next car is definitely not coming from their shop!!!

2019-05-09This place has been the service home of my cars for 20 years! Todd is the best, I drive over an hour to have my car serviced here, I tried to go else where but even the little things like oil changes are just treated with more care! They have kept my 2013 Ford Taurus SHO in great shape! 70,000 and still like new! Thanks Guys!

2017-08-03Amazing car buying experience. I went in at 1:30pm and drove it home at 4:45pm the same day. one picture is the truck at the dealeraship second picture is same night at home after I removed the raptor decal on the truck bed. Armand is who Idealt with and he was amaziong. Fast and honest people here. I went around to many other dealers who said they had it in stock but when I arrived they did not actually have it and wanted me to put a deposit to order one. I understand the raptor is a difficult truck to acquire however it was a waste of time for me to go there all on false advertising. Ramp Ford said they had it and I gave it a shot and headed on over. Armand greated me and was beyond honest and helpful and got the deal done in under 4 hours. I will always be back at this place for future purposes and I live over an hour away

2021-04-19I am very happy with the service I was provided. I spoke with Tyler over the phone before making the appointment. He was very educated on the issue and what parts were needed. The cam phaser repair turned into a full long block replacement under my extended warranty. Tyler had the motor onsite before I could even ask how long. It was actually hard to believe someone was this prepared. The technician did a really great job as well. Nothing was broken or damaged. No shortcuts appear to have been taken. The new motor is amazing and I cant be any happier with the quailty of service I was provided by Ramp Ford. Thank you.
