I have leases 5 different Hondas from this dealership and about to start my 6th. They are responsive and professional. I recently had a recall that needed to be serviced. The Service team worked around my schedule, provided a shuttle service, and finished the work quickly. I would highly recommend this dealership.
One deception after another. Went about one month ago to my scheduled appointment for tire rotation and oil change. The service was supposed to take 1.5 hrs but it took over 3 hrs to get it done. The reply I got was that they were backed up (maybe dont overbook?). Didnt complain at the time because mistakes can occur.I went to Ray Laks four days ago to have my tire checked because it has a nail stuck in it. I talked to Jeff and explained that I had tire warranty and would like to use it (big mistake, never purchasing this again). He took the car in and did not sure exactly what. He said I was all set and to come back Tuesday to have the tire replaced. Came today to find out the claim had not been submitted and therofore the new tire is not there and that I need to schedule another appointment to go through the process again. Needless to say, my time is valuable and took my business somewhere else where I was taken care off immediately.
This 5 star review is due to my salesman Stephen Giamberdino- who was beyond excellent. I was in a car accident which my car was totaled. It didnt take long before I realized I wasnt going to find a used car with low mileage that I could buy outright without financing. All the cars from independent sellers were over priced with unbelievable high miles. I found a car I liked at Ray Laks. Upon my arrival, I learned the car was sold. I explained my situation to Stephen and he went to bat for me. I ended up with a 2017 Honda CR-V EX with only 12K miles! Essentially the car is brand new with so few miles. Stephen was upfront, honest, and really had my best interest at heart. I was so impressed with his knowledge, personality and sincerity that a friend of mine just bought a brand new 2022 Honda CR-V EX two days later. Even under adverse circumstances I was impressed and treated with respect and courtesy and I am beyond happy with my decision to purchase a Honda CRV-EX. I love it! Thank you Stephen and I hope this dealership knows how fortunate they are to have you on their sales team. Anyone reading this should consider talking to and meeting Stephen to see what he can do for you. The transaction was smooth, NO PRESSURE, no going back and forth wasting time. Thank you Stephen Giamberdino for an awesome experience and car.
I’d been helping my child find an affordable college/commuter car. On a whim, i ended up checking out the value cars at Ray Laks. I was surprised to find a well kept, one owner older Honda Accord that was reasonably priced. The buying experience couldn’t have been better, no pressure, no up sell and the pricing was better than I could find for higher mileage, riskier private sale vehicles on Craigslist or FB Marketplace. The salesman (Steve Giamberdino) was honest and and made the whole process as easy as it could be. Highly, highly recommended. I waited a bit to post this, to be sure the car wasn’t too good to be true, but it is the real deal and has been 100% trouble free. This is the easiest 5 Star rating I’ve ever given. Thank you again.
Took the car for and oil change and someway and somehow as soon as they gave me the car back i was driving the car back home and the only thing i could listen is a annoying sound, i took it back and they told me that they couldn’t listen any noise, so I’m driving around still with the noise and apparently there is nothing i can do about it!James was pretty friendly and helpful overall but besides that I’m not sure that i would go back there for other services, it makes me sad!
I made an appointment online and the process was easy to set up. I had the oil changed and the tires rotated. The service advisor, James was cordial and explained everything that was done to my vehicle. The service was done in timely manner and was done smoothly. The experience was customer friendly.
I have both attempted to buy a vehicle from them and interview for a position with them. On buying a vehicle our salesperson was very pushy, not friendly, and did not have knowledge on the vehicle. When applying for position here I had an interview scheduled I showed up early. Then proceeded to wait 15 mins and was not talked to, I then left. They do not value your time and I would not recommend this dealership for buying or applying.
Dropped my car off for an oil change. Everyone was pleasant at 745 am. They drive me to work (on time) no waiting. I was sent a link for text communication. I was notified when my car was ready and I got a ride from work to pick up the car. It was ready and waiting for me. Everyone and everything was amazing. Start to finish I would highly recommendUpdate: 12922Another 5 stars from me ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Dropped my car off for an oil change. Was told it would be so e by 10:30. Was driven to work by an amazingly friend gentleman. Got a text at 9:20 that my car was ready. Got a ride back from work to pick the car up and it was ready and waiting for me. Start to finish everyone treated me great! Highly recommend again
Took our Civic in for routine oil change. Colin was helpful and gave a clear explanation of what they did in addition to the oil change. Friendly waiting area with coffee and snacks, WiFi, and tv. Got to catch up on emails and talked to a business acquaintance on my cell..
This company does not stand behind the vehicles they sell. Terrible service dept who blames everything on everyone else and refuses to back up their claims. Would highly recommend going elsewhere. It’s also interesting that the service manager John Cahalan has written a 5 star review within the same timeframe as mine. Seems to be a conflict of interest there.
My wife and I went into Ray Laks on a Sunday... the fact they were open impressed me. We were immediately greeted by Bob Meer. Bob has a nice way of talking to you but more importantly listens. We quickly decided we were primarily interested in the new CRV.Bob made it very easy for us to test drive a new CRV. We never felt like we being pressured by Bob. We did feel like Bob wanted us to be familiar with the new features in the 2021. He patiently explained in detail the new safety features and speed and cruise control features that monitor the speed of the vehicle in front of you and actually slow down and speed up as required. He actually went over several more...After the test drive we decided to purchase. It was the attention Bob gave us after the sale that really impressed us. Bob spent over an hour going over various features in the car. He even helped my wife set up her phone to easily make calls. He set up several contacts and more importantly made sure we knew how to then use the features once the contacts were added.Ive bought several cars in my lifetime. Bob Meer is the best salesperson I ever dealt with. He continued to be helpful the next day... we left a few things in the car, Bob made sure we got them back.Bob even suggested a restaurant for us to go eat dinner at. It was very good food. If you want the name of that place, go see Bob Meer at Ray Laks Honda. He will take good care of you.
Not a place I would recommend. Service has been beyond horrible. Damage was done to my vehicle when it was last serviced there. After talking to the service manager it turns out to everyone elses fault but Hondas. If you must buy a Honda I would drive out of my way to purchase elsewhere.
I have been driving since 1973 and have never had a better service experience at a car dealership! The service advisors are exceptionally pleasant and knowledgeable. My vehicle has been serviced promptly and correctly each time I have brought it in to Ray Laks Honda. Their prices are reasonable. The vehicle is returned to me cleaner than when I brought it in.What more could I ask for? I recommend Ray Laks highly.
The staff as a hole great people.Ken was a pleasure to deal with and would recommend him & Neal both for any one who is looking for a new or used car. Ray Laks was a great experience. They made the car buying as painless as painless could be.They didnt try to over sell me or pressure me into buying the car I wanted. Thanks Guys!
I had a headlight failure 2 and a 1/2 years into my ownership experience. Unfortunately, the headlight was not covered by the warranty as the warranty had expired. Ray Laks and Honda really came to the table and I was more than impressed with how they were able to help me with this expensive repair. Thank you Honda and John the service manager. I highly recommend Ray Laks!!!
Professional yet personable service from start to finish from Frank Bellini and Ray Laks Honda. We are very happy with the care they took in keeping us updated as our car was transported across the country. Frank also took the time to walk us through every detail of our new HR-V EX-L and to answer all our questions. It was a pleasure to work with him and the rest of the staff.
If I could give zero stars I would. Not only did they take our money but also our time. It is truly honestly sad I do not have one good thing to say about this dealership. Let me start off with the “fully serviced” used vehicle we recently paid cash for but needed repairs within a week of purchasing it. My husband goes to pick it up tonight (40 minute drive) and they locked the keys inside of it. I am absolutely disgusted. To say the least.
Excellent experience!! Adrian was my sales rep and did an awesome job! He wasnt pushy and was very patient no matter how many times I changed my mind lol!! I really felt like he wanted me to make the right choice for me not just push any car on me. Keith in finance also did a great job, made that part as quick and painless as it could be!! Definitely recommend and will be back for my future car need!! Thank you for making this a great experience!
My Sales Rep, Chuck Riso, was fantastic and guided me through every step of the process. There were no vehicles in stock on site and I had to wait for one to be built. Everything that Chuck advised was accurate and he kept me well informed. He was a trusted advisor during this whole process and made it easy for me to purchase my 3rd Honda in a row. Thank you, Chuck, for making this a very smooth process- just as you have in the past!
The sales team was helpful and quick to respond when the used vehicle I purchased had mechanical issues immediately after I picked it up. However it required multiple visits as the mechanics seemed to not QC their work. It was resolved within a few days and I am overall satisfied with their work.
I am very happy that Ray Laks has lived up to the high praise my husband has always given this dealership. I decided to buy my first new car from a dealership (rather than buying used cars down south with cash and driving them for 15 years or so). I bought my 2018 loaded Civic EXL and absolutely love it. I recently had an issue with the AC just shy of the warranty period and Ray Laks fought for me and was able to cover the cost completely under the warranty. I am grateful to know this dealership has my back even as a new customer to the dealership world. My husband has been a long-standing customer and I now understand why.I look forward to working with you when or if I decide to upgrade to another Honda. Thanks for your support.
I’ve been purchasing Hondas since the early 2000’s and bought my last 5 vehicles from Ray Laks. I had a wonderful experience and they are always professional. I just purchased my 3rd new car this year and again, had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this dealership. Just had first maintenance appointment on 2 of my recent purchases and the service was great!!!
Ray Laks has been the BEST experience Ive had when leasing a new vehicle! I leased a 2021 Honda Civic yesterday, and the entire car leasing/purchasing process could not have been easier! Within a couple of hours I drove home in my new vehicle! Steve, my leasing consultant was AWESOME! He was patient with me and made sure I was completlysatisfied with my new Civic. The service he provided was first class!Ken handled the financing and was both extremely efficient and professional. Ive NEVER had a better experience elsewhere! Both Steve and Ken were terrific and could not have made my experience more seamless! Thank you!
Everyone at Ray Laks Honda is the most Cordial of any other Dealership that I have ever dealt with. Special regards going out to Chuck Riso for all his help. I am so elated to be driving anew CRV. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALLOF THE STAFF IN THE OFFICES AND TO ALL THE MECHANICS WHO SERVICE MY VEHICLE. You guys and girls are the GREATEST !🙂🙂🙂🙂
I had my 2017 Civic hatchback serviced at Ray Laks Honda on 12 October 2021.It was a 30,000 mile B service - i not only had the service but my advisor Rick S, recommended i also change the brake and transmission fluids at the same time. The service was completed in the time expected and the car is running as well as new. Great for the service department - bad for the sales department - i will keep this car for at least the next 5 years!!
A friend suggested I take my vehicle here due to the excellent service staff and top mechanics. I was greeted by a very helpful person named Jeff S who asked some questions about my concerns. The mechanic, Tom B diagnosed the issue right away then everything was explained in detail about what needed to be done. I honestly feel safe driving now that my brakes are fixed after another place couldnt find the problem. I look forward to having my vehicle serviced at this location in the future and I appreciate the whole team. Thank you!!
Outstanding customer service and the easiest lease experience we have ever had. The General Manager, Bill Wertheim, went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. We even drive all the way from Rochester just to work with Bill and his outstanding team.Jim was also very thorough in explaining all of the vehicles features. We wouldnt go anywhere else for our leasing needs.
Didnt even make it to the dealership after a sales woman (Karen) scoffed at a few simple questions I had over the phone regarding a HRV sale. After reading more reviews on Google, Im happy taking my business elsewhere. Hopefully they learn the importance of interpersonal relationships.
I have recently purchased a new 2021 Civic Type R. I spoke directly with Ken Jones. He provided excellent response time, fair negotiating, was always prompt, and kept me informed as to delivery dates and pick up. I cannot speak highly enough of the experience that I had here. I will purchase another car from him again.
This is my 4th Honda purchase from this dealership and it’s always an amazing experience! I started leasing from them in 2012 and my first one was a 2012 Honda Accord. Then I decided to go bigger and leased a 2015 Honda CR-V. I loved it so much that I leased another one in 2019! My latest one is a 2021 and it was a deal they had for early buy out and upgrade to a 2021 Honda CR-V! Chuck who assisted me was amazing and very on point with all the knowledge he had about the vehicle. I literally walked in there at 3:30pm and was put by 5:30pm with everything done and drove my new car home. I would definitely recommend them and I will be there again in 3 years to lease again!
Horrible. But hey, thanks to them I was able to take their embarrassing offer and use it as a negotiating chip at a different dealer and get the exact same car with 26,000 less miles and much cleaner for $500 less than the one from ray laks. Oh, and I test drove it and looked at the car and came to an agreement on a deal in less than an hour over at Lia Honda, while it took over an hour at Ray Laks just to get an initial “offer” on my trade in which was $3,000 under fair trade value. And the so called managers at Ray laks are rude and try to take advantage of younger customer. I even came back with research to back up my offer and they tried to run in circles trying to say anything to invalidated my claims. My offer was fair for both parties and I even raised it but they were rude and aggressive. Safe to say I’ll be sticking with Lia and telling everyone I know to steer clear of Ray Laks at all costs due to their incompetence. All in all, very glad though because they helped me get my dream car, just at Lia instead!
Would like to thank Ken for being flexible regarding a last minute change in purchasing our new used vehicle and making the purchase simple to understand regarding everything. I realize that it probably wasnt the easiest having to deal with on the fly change that was asked for but he was both professional, and flexible in accommodating the request.
Terrible customer service in show room. Though our salesman was very polite and kind. Passive aggressive “managers” are horrific. Will never consider a purchase again at Ray Laks. But thanks to the managers arrogance we bought the same vehicle with almost 20k less miles at another dealer for less money. Thanks for not having great customer service 😁
My partner and I just purchased two vehicles back to back within a month. The first one was a 2018 Toyota Corolla at West Herr, and the second was a 2017 Honda Civic at Ray Laks yesterday. I would recommend West Herr any day over Ray Laks. One major reason is the detailing process. After we drove the car off the lot from Ray Laks- we noticed crumbs and dirt and sticky stuff all on top of steering wheel mount and in crevices of the steering wheel. Another reason being is that they only filled the car with a half tank of gas before taking it off the lot. They had the entire day to detail the vehicle. We said we would pick it up at 3pm to give them adequate time to do this and when I brought it home I ended up cleaning it up myself and filling it with gas. This was unacceptable. West Herr gave us a full tank of gas, detailed it to perfection, had excellent customer service, allowed personal checks for purchasing (Ray Laks only allows Cashiers check), and allowed an overnight stay for test driving. West Herr also provided a $250 discount for places of employment. I will not recommend Ray Laks to others. Comparing the two there is no question about it- West Herr is a much better dealership.
I am not big on leaving reviews but I felt compelled with my most recent experience here. Not once did I feel uncomfortable, belittled or treated any type of way other than with utmost respect. Its not always easy being a woman going to car dealerships to buy or get work done. They do seem to genuinely want the best for their customers. I drove from Rochester to test drive on Friday and ended up returning the next day to finalize after sleeping on my decision. Their customer service is top notch and I would definitely recommend them. Everyone there was wonderful. Frank B was my salesman and he is one the best Ive ever dealt with anywhere.**Edited to add: A couple miscommunication issues as I wasnt initially made aware of missing owners manual and second key, however, my salesman did obtain the manual for me the following week.
It was very pleasing dealing with Ken Jones and Karen in our transaction to buy a new Honda Civic for our daughter remotely before we even visited the dealership. I recommend these individuals for their transparency and help to make the surprise purchase for our daughter. Thank you!
After a three week process to replace my ignition, they charged me more than originally quoted, damaged my prop rod for my hood, they didnt offer me a rental when I was stranded at the dealership with my daughter for an hour; they didnt make me feel appreciated. When I contacted the service manager about all of this, specifically on my prop rod, he told me that it was suppose to be bent. I will never return to them again. Id rather have someone else fix my car. If they want my business back they can call me and mail me the new prop rod and clips they broke on my car.
I’d recommend your facility to friends and family. Everyone is always friendly and professional with great service to my vehicle. I once pulled into the service area with a torn wiper blade and asked if they could replace it for me, was told “no problem” and within a very short period of time I was back on the road using my new wiper blade in the snowy weather.
Ray Laks is unlike any car dealer that I have purchased a new car from in the last 30 years. It was also my first foreign car purchase in 30 years. The new vehicle was priced fairly, my trade-in value was exactly what I wanted, and Honda financing is 1.9%. The salesman, and manager, explained everything from the cost of the new car to every single feature in the new car. Salesman set up our cell phones with the new car, and explained how everything on the car worked to both my wife and me. Painless experience for me, and nothing to complain about. I would highly recommend stopping in Ray Laks for any new or used car purchase!
I am really very pleased with the service and the personality of your staff.I have been a Honda buyer for many years. Rick has been my contact thru many of my follow up appointments. I have alway brought my car in for any and all services. I trust Rick with anything he tells me what if anything that needs to be done. I tell him to do what needs to be done. No questions ask! I never feel that Honda over charges me for work done. His core values are truly amazing. I saved the best for last. When my service is done and I try to give him a tip, he will always refuse it!!.GO RICK YOU ARE MY HERO!Myra Schultz
I had an issue with my vehicle and had voiced my concerns with the service department. The service writer Rick, and manager John were extremely helpful and professional the entire time. I was frustrated but they both went above and beyond to take care of me, and my vehicle. I remain a happy customer and look forward to my next purchase with this team of professionals. Two thumbs up Ray Laks and thank you for making good on your promises.
I recently leased a Honda Pilot from Ray Laks Honda. It has been my dream to drive this car for years! Ray Laks Honda made this experience such an exceptional one. From trading in my 2017 Toyota Camry and walking out with a brand new Honda Pilot- the experience was incredible. The staff was great, friendly, efficient, and exemplified amazing customer service. Huge shout to to the GM Bill Wertheim, if it wasnt for his continued monitoring and involvement, I dont think my dreams would have come true! If you are looking for a great dealership to purchase your next vehicle from, Ray Laks Honda is the place to go!
I recently leased two new vehicles from Ray Laks Honda. I drove in from Rochester for each of them. The staff was friendly, professional, and efficient in getting each transaction completed so I could be on my way. I also liked the layout of the dealership.I used to get my vehicles from another Buffalo dealership, but when the general manager moved to Ray Laks, I followed him. Customer service and satisfaction are their highest priorities.
Jim schuch is the best! He does whatever he can to satisfy you and looks at every option he can. He will not let you leave unless you’re happy! He helped me get an suv and exactly what I was looking for and I left that same day ;) definitely recommend him even if you just have questions!
Very friendly and helpful staff!! I got my new Crv from Steve, and he went above & beyond to take care of anything I needed. They work hard to get you the best deals possible! I was extremely happy with my experience, and highly recommend this location for a new or used vehicle!!!
Very disappointed with our service experience after having a great experience with the sales team. We bought our Civic at Ray Laks this past year and purchased the extended warranty. Due to issues with our AC, this past month we decided to get the work done at Ray Laks as we were very impressed with the staff we had dealt with during our buying experience. Unfortunately that was a bad decision. From drop off to pick up, communication was less than stellar. Whenever we called to get an update on our vehicle, lines were always busy. We received a courtesy text message, we responded, no response from the service team or managers. We were told that our car would take two hours to do the repair, it took about 5. Again no communication, no update until much later. Having three young children who we had to coordinate schedules around, not having any communication made this experience very difficult. Due to time constraints (a result of the car taking over double the amount of time as was projected) we returned the rental car right before they closed up. We had 2 maybe 3 gallons of gas that we didn’t fill up which we admit, so we knew there was a possibility (even though the car took way longer to fix on their end) that we would have to pay the $5/ gallon for not filling the tank. However if my calculations are correct 3 gallons x $5 = $15. I checked my bank account two days later, they charged our card $50 not $15. Again... check my math, that would mean that they are saying that we didn’t fill up 10 gallons worth of gas. We have left a text and voicemail with the service manager, still no reply. If you value communication I would suggest taking your car into another service center.
We purchased a car online from Ray Lask Honda. We were driving from Charlottesville Virginia to Buffalo NY to go get it. Our sales person Steve was the best from the beginning to the end. Lots of communication, told me what I needed to have the papers ready, and even had the car outside ready when we arrived. He went above and beyond to give us suggestions on hotels, places to eat and even how to get to Niagara Falls which was only about 25 mins away. We enjoyed our trip and most important our car. Everyone we dealt with at this dealership were super nice and courteous. Thank you Steve for all your help
Joe and Jay provided us with an awesome experience and got me in to a “new to me” 2014 Kia Sorento SX. From the moment we walked in the door, Joe made sure we were taken care of, explained everything perfectly and answered any questions we had. He provided us with the carfax and a full inspection sheet of their own which stated everything that was checked and/or replaced. Although my credit is not fantastic, Jay went above and beyond to make sure he could get me approved and even got me a fantastic extended warranty which was cheaper and better than even my extended warranty I had purchased on a different vehicle at one point. Upon returning today to finish the last steps, I was advised that they had ran into a problem when doing the final multipoint inspection and would need to replace a part (at their expense) before I could take the car BUT they gave me a courtesy loaner citing it was their dilemma and not mine. I am absolutely happy with my buying experience from Ray Laks and would recommend! I even already have someone coming for an appointment next week to test drive a new car herself. Thank you for the best experience. I look forward to working with this dealership in the future.
I just had Ray Laks Honda perform a recall service in which they replaced the fuel pump on my 2019 Civic Type R. Everything went as planned and I’m back on the road! My car was returned to me exactly as I left it with them, along with a new fuel pump, and there was no smell of gas from the service. Thank you Ray Laks!
Overall, a very negative experience. Turned off by the aggressive, pushy sales tactics. Against my better judgement, I succumbed to the pressure and regrettably agreed to a deal. After feeling uneasy and giving further thought, I decided to cancel that deal first thing next morning. Get prices and comparison shop around for the best deal for yourself. You will be spending your hard earned money, so don’t let anybody else dictate your buying experience. If the salesperson pressures you to do a deal- get up and walk out. I regret that I did not do that. Ultimately, I purchased elsewhere and feel better for it.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I do not recommend this place. I made an appointment and still had to wait a hour and a half. Instead of finding another screw to put on my license plate they just used tape to keep it on. They used two way tape to fix the fender. No one ever calls you back. Had to make a service appointment because I took it to a local garage to see what was wrong with the suspension. They told me that its not there problem even tho its under the lemon law that they have to fix it. Overall bad place to get a vehicle. They are shady and dont care about there customers. The team will answer reviews to and say to call them to fix the problem and they wont. They just apologize and hang up.
For over 20 years, Ray Laks Honda is the only place I take my cars for service. The friendly staff & excellent customer service make having your car serviced less of a hassle. This time it was Jeff who took care of me & it was a great experience. Thank you, Jeff !I would highly recommend them.
Hi. This place is iffy depend on who checks your vehicle. The front desk was ok nice and stuff service desk. But as for repair it sort of an upsell. A service for oil and b service oil and lubricating your brakes and calipers so they are good every year. You can get this cheaper than the 289 they charge. I was dumb to overpay. But the brakes they charge 4x more than the reg mechanic 2x. Sure the brakes are Honda but ridiculous. They hit sort of my suspension but the wrong one. Not the stabilizer but shock absorber. What a difference and cheaper at another place. My opinion of dealers there like a dentist or overprice college. Out to make money and dont care much for customers. Do yourself a favor and go to a Scotty kilmore or Chris fix. Meaning a mechanic that honest not different mechanics with views.
My daughter bought a 2019 Honda Fit last fall and it has been a nightmare dealing with this dealership. Its been nothing but problems, starting with the paperwork. They registered the wrong car, cancelled the insurance on the correct VIN and sent 3 different titles. For the past few months she has had a tire pressure light go on. They have done nothing to fix it. She was told that it was a leak due to a bent rim and she had to have it replaced. They never offered to give her the actual rim and now the light is going on again. She called them back saying that there must be something wrong but their advice was to keep resetting if it comes on again. This is not acceptable. She is a young woman purchasing her first new car and I feel they have not provided the service that she should be getting. I would not buy a car here....
We’ve been buying cars from Ray Laks for years. This purchase was over-the-phone because of Covid. Our regular salesman, Jim Schuh, was excellent. Patient, answered all my questions, helped us compare models and features, and worked with us on price. I believe he was as ‘honest’ as a car salesman could be.
Wonderful dealership! Bill Wertheim and Ken helped me trade in my Chevy Silverado for a new Honda Ridgeline. They were easy to work with and made the trade in process a breeze. Being a truck guy I was a little apprehensive about getting a ridgeline but it has surpassed all my expectations. It is perfect for our growing family space wise and still has the hauling capabilities that my Silverado provided me. Ken did a wonderful job following up afterwards to make sure the registration transferred for an out of state purchase! Cant say enough good things about this dealership!
Complete waste of my family’s time. I had been emailing with a salesman for over a week about a vehicle that was on their website. He was not very quick to respond, sometimes taking two or more days. I didn’t get upset about that, though as we all know times are tough right now. I got a quote for the vehicle and set up and appointment to drive 30 minutes to the dealership to drive it. An appointment that the salesman confirmed and even said in his email the time was “perfect”. We get to the lot and 25 minutes after our “perfect” appointment time, the salesman brings out another gentleman to help us. The salesman tells me that the vehicle that I was interested in had been sold. It would have been great to know that prior to my 30 minute drive but whatever, he said he had another vehicle that was comparable to show me and leaves me with the new person who is to help me. The gentleman leads us all the way around the lot in the pouring down rain until we finally come to a vehicle that was not even the same model that I was inquiring about. I drove 30 minutes to see a new pilot that had already been sold and I was shown a used cr-v. Don’t waste your time. Get it together Ray Laks Honda.
Josh was amazing! He called in the morning to discuss exactly what I was looking for from my service write up. He asked questions and really listened. When we discussed my needing tires he listened to the type of driving I do. Personable but not pushy. Even checking out at the cashier was so warm and friendly.
First of all trying to make an appointment there is ridiculous. You can call all day and leave messages and no one will call you back. Finally made an appointment online and showed up only to be told they were over booked and needed to make another appointment. Took my dad’s car in for him on Saturday for an oil change and tire rotation. My son drove it and told me later that the tire light that was in when we brought in was still on. Don’t you do and 20 point inspection? It was mark in the sheet the tires were fine but they couldn’t fill it? My husband went and filled it and it was the same tire my dad has been having issues with which means they never rotated the tires! Tried calling today to complain and got a never ending cycle of machines. I will never go there again.
Always a fantastic experience! On my 5th lease after 1 Civic, 1 CRV and 2 Pilots. More than enough space to hold all my photo equipment and love the 3rd row. Everyone is always so friendly from the sales to the auto shop.Go see Frank at Ray Laks (my dad) - he’s the best :)
HelloI had an excellent experience from my initial phone call asking for a sales person to the picking out of my new Honda it was all great.Bob Meer and the rest of those we meet we fantastic to us taking away the apprehension of the new car buying experience. Dealing with COVID at the dealership was a little nervous but all that was just washed away when we saw everybody wearing the proper face mask and distancing.Neil in The financial Dept was awesome and very knowledgeable and helped us to not only understand all the warranty in and outs but made it simple for us to make the right decision.Would I drive 1.5 hours again and go there, for sure.Joe Cabrera
Everything went well with our purchase of a CPO 2020 HR V Sport from Bob Plewik at Ray Laks Honda. My wife and I felt valued as an out of state buyer from Pennsylvania(300 miles away). Any of our questions/concerns were answered honestly and respectfully. If and when we are in the market for another Honda, we will look to Bob at Ray Laks Honda for our purchase.
Good Morning! A self imposed two month, nine dealership, and multiple test driving search for a new vehicle finally brought me to the 2019 Pilot EXL. Before and after driving many cars I read comparative reviews online and spoke at length with many patient car salesman. But the Gentleman and Ladies at Orchard Parks Ray Laks Honda were the most responsive, informative and accommodating of all the dealerships. I had not bought a car in 14 years so cars and features had significantly changed. I was given multiple opportunities to drive several models, I was asked what I was specifically looking for in the car and why it was important to me. The numbers were explained to me in depth, especially regarding the issue of leasing vs ownership. I especially appreciated my sales person Jennie and Jay, whom helped out when she wasnt available; actually she made it fun to want to buy a new car; so patient and responsive to everything I needed. Tim helped guide me towards the right vehicle, Eric was absolutely stellar performing as a fabulous manager; making everything come together. Thank you for all your efforts and generous amounts of time you all so willingly spent with me. I love my car.
Had a service visit for a “headlight problem- see dealer” for my 2018 accord. Light came on about 10 days ago and right side led headlight sometimes would not turn on since then. I have a honda care extended warranty with $0 deductible.Service manager blames it on snow covered sensors and wants me to have sensors calibrated which is not covered under warranty. Really? Sensor calibrations for a headlight problem?? For $320?? He emphasized that I would not be charged this time for the diagnostic fee. Thanks for wasting my time. Appointment set at different dealer next week.
Shopped around and we found the BEST Mr Bill Wertheim and Ken Jones from Ray Laks are absolutely the best in the industry. Hassle free, friendly absolutely the best price for our new 2020 Honda Accord 2.0 Touring Edition. The whole transaction from test drive to delivery of the vehicle was absolutely fantastic. Could not be easier. Thank you Ray Laks Bill and Ken. We are enjoying our new car and we will be back
After a fair amount of car shopping for a larger family vehicle, we went to Honda. It turned out to be the best decision we could have made. Chris M. Listened to our needs for our growing family and showed us options. He treated us like people, and we felt the process was very fair. He was forthcoming, helpful, and we feel good about our purchase. Honda and Chris have now gained customers for life!
Very disappointed with the service I received in the service department today. I took my vehicle in for a warranty repair, which has been confirmed to be covered under the new vehicle warranty, and the advisor was adamant about charging for a diagnostic fee. He said that the diagnostic fee was necessary just in case we cant find/fix the issue.Warranty work has never required a diagnostic fee in my experience. We are a four-car Honda family and will no longer rely on Ray Laks for maintenance/warranty work again.
Have been buying my cars and getting service at ray laks for over 20 years. A super customer service oriented car dealership. Love Karen Haines and Ann Jarmusz - these ladies are honest and incredibly knowledgeable sales persons! The service team is the best! Kudos to Josh and Rick and all the other guys who ALWAYS take great care of me, my husband, and sons! They watch out for us to ensure we get loaners to reduce any inconvenience to our schedules and often find coupons that can reduce cost of maintenance. It’s been a real pleasure dealing with these folks! All dealerships should be like this! And, of course, they sell a great product! Love my Hondas!
Scheduled an appointment to look at a new car. Arrived on time and ready. Stood at the front counter for 15 minutes without a soul helping. Finally flagged someone down and asked to get the person I was there to see. 10 minutes later I walked out. She had the audacity to write to me 4 days later saying she was sorry she missed me. This was for a new car for my 16 year old son. They may have lost out on years of new cars from him. I would never recommend such poor customer service.
It was a last minute appointment; they fit me in for about an hour after I called on a snowy Saturday. They were able to do my oil change and use their creativity and expertise to fix a damaged wheel well on the spot. It was very reasonably priced too. Josh is really nice and a pleasure to do business with. The coffee/latte machine is a nice treat !
So glad I went to Ray Laks Honda and ever more content with having had Robert as our sales associate that day. From his great attitude to how easy he made the process for us, made the experience and transition into our new lease that much better. He was detailed and knowledgeable. I have already recommended his service and will continue to do so.
I researched the 2019 car market before shopping. We were favorably impressed by the salesman, Mike. He answered our questions about the car features and got several cars from storage for us to see as we were undecided between an Accord and a CR-V. The price negotiation went well as did the settlement discussion. Everyone was friendly and I did not feel pressure to decide one way or the other. If I have need for another new car I would not hestitate to shop at Ray Laks Honda. This is our third Honda and our first CR-V. We are well satisfied with it.
Horrible service would give them 0 stars if possible almost a 2 hour wait for an oil change is absurd and we had an appointment on top of that we paid for a tire rotation and they didnt even rotate the tires even though they charged us for it. I know this because we had a damaged wheel on the vehicle and it was still in the same spot after service. Will never go back for service. Go to West Herr instead.
Always a Great experience at Laks Honda, both in sales and service. Highly recommend this dealership for all your automotive needs. Try them youll never go to another place to purchase an automobile. The best there is in Western New York. The service department is outstanding, Rick Scheck is very professional and listens to all of your automotive needs, keep up the great work. Recommend Laks 100%.
Just had a great car-buying experience at Ray Laks. Worked with Zakk Packard and Jim Schuh and I would highly recommend both. They listened to what I wanted and provided the right vehicle at a good price (and much lower than West Herr pricing for the exact same vehicle).
Never been to Ray Laks before but the one time I go. I get a rude service associate who never let me speak. I get an auto tech who cracks my bumper. Then I get that same service associate who audibly using vulgar language towards me. Can’t see myself showing up there again.
Awful experience dealing with Steve will NEVER shop at this dealership nor will family members after finding out about this experience. Well below minimal customer service while we were looking at per owned. Took the weekend to figure out which car we wanted. Called to confirm the car was still available, which he said it was. While driving there from Cheektowaga and almost there, he decided to inform that indeed it was sold prior to us calling and inquiring about its availability. After said deal fell through he decided to text us days later to say it was again available. We were away due to a family members death. My wife sent simple text inquiry to Steve and received a snarky response of had you called when I sent you a message that the original deal failed to happen as well a why do you keep texting me regarding car when it was 1 message request. Exceedingly unprofessional.
My experience with the staff at Ray Laks Honda was amazing! I felt as though my needs/wants were more important than them making a profit off of my business. The staff at Ray Laks proved they were devoted to satisfying all of my vehicle requirements (which were surpassed). I will be recommending Ray Laks Honda to all of my family and friends because that is how I felt at this dealership...a friend! Thank you, Ray Laks Honda!
It won’t let me pick 0 stars or I would. Absolutely horrible - will NEVER return or recommend. Salesman Bob Meer is as slimy as the come. We test drove a car together and sat down to talk numbers. After going back and forth multiple times, we agreed upon a payment. Once I’d filled out my information for the loan and my trade in, he came out to tell me he had “unknowingly” presented me the wrong information, for a totally different car. The car I wanted is thousands more, and there’s just absolutely nothing they can do about the price (we all know that’s a total lie). This man told me he has been with Ray Laks for 10 years, yet at no point in our negotiations did he think the price sounded off? Or notice the picture of the incorrect car on the paper (I thought it was a stock photo)? He didn’t take two seconds to ensure he had the right information before meeting with me?I went today to get back all of my paperwork because I don’t trust these crooks. He had the audacity to blame me for being interested in two different cars. That’s apparently too much for him to keep straight. This man told me lie after lie for hours, and honestly, I’m embarrassed to say it got as far as it did, but I sure don’t want it to happen to anyone else.Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this place as you can. West Herr is down the road and has honest, trustworthy salespeople.
Ive been coming here since 06 with various Hondas for both sales & service. The sales experience didnt work-out as it took 3 emails for them to finally admit that they didnt have the car I wanted. Their used inventory is typically very poor as well.On the bright side, service has always been pretty good. It was the best when I first starting going when Zach was an advisor, but is still pretty good even today. I keep returning for service without issue. I had a much better experience at Don Davis for sales (who now sold-out) & Ive been to Lia too for service when Ray Laks couldnt take me. They were fine as well, but not any better than Ray Laks so I wouldnt drive all that way to go there over Ray Laks for service.
Ray Laks doesnt stand behind their products. Bought a 2015 pilot that was certified. Bought the extended warranty. The plastic in front of the speedometer cracked. Not covered, would not fix.A week into owning the car I noticed the child safety latch covers were missing, not covered (after a battle they gave me some). The interior was clean but has a filth coming up from within the seats leaving disgusting rings in the seats and the doors, not covered. They cleaned it twice by teenagers in the back from the looks of it until I complained enough to have them send it out professionally. After a few weeks, the stains come back. They wont clean the car after the 2nd attempt even though it was starting to show signs of getting better. They said I own the problem even though the issues started within weeks of owning the car. They sold a lemon, wont own it and make it better. The sales department bailed on it early and kept their commissions. The service department gave up after a couple attempts and washed their hands of. Im stuck with a disappointing $24,000 car. Will never buy from Ray Laks again. It was a terrible experience and sucked a tremendous amount of my time.
I’ve been a customer here for seven years. While I’ve had pretty regular decent customer service, that area has been on the decline over the last year or so. So many others were complaining about having to wait hours when they were given a time frame of 20-30 minutes when I was there last. I wasted more than 1/2 day there. All so they could tell me nothing is wrong, and oh yeah, we’re going to charge you $149 for something an amateur mechanic could’ve done. I’ve had so many issues with my vehicle and I bought it brand new from here. Only twice, out of the vast array of issues I’ve had, have my concerns been taking seriously. I even had a worker joke around about my car having so many problems because I probably got a “Monday or a Friday car.” I didn’t know what that meant so I looked it up. Haha, so funny. I have three kids. It’s hysterical when your car breaks down in the middle of a highway within the first year of purchasing it brand new from your dealership. It’s a riot. Or let us not forget when they didn’t put something together properly after working on it, and when pumping gas in Ellicottville on the way home, the gas ran straight through the bottom of the car. That was a good time.
I purchased a vehicle two years ago and had a great experience. Unfortunately my experience with service has been unpleasant. While Josh and the team were nice the work they did was not great. Last November I had a problem that was under warranty from Kia so Josh took it to a Kia dealer which was fine. The problem was I never heard from him again and I finally located the Kia dealer and they said they tried to call him and he never returned calls. I left multiple messages and finally had to drive there to Ray laks to get answers. This Saturday the 23rd I took my car for a simple oil change. I waited two hours and finally it was done. Sunday morning when I went to church I noticed there was a puddle of oil under my car. They were closed so I took my car and left it with keys and a note. In the am no one called me (as I expect from them) and when I called they said that the problem was that someone didnt tighten my oil filter they put in. For real! They charged me $80 with 40 being labor and they couldnt tighten a oil filter. So disappointing and I have a maintenance contract with them for 5 years ugh. If only I knew!!!
0! $149 to tell me nothing was wrong when it was! Nothing like slapping a inspection sticker on and a few miles later the check engine light back on. When returning the next day the service department was immediately defensive argumentative and even insulting. I was asked what I did for a living and asked if I wanted to get paid. Then I was kicked out. Honda you should have just put it threw my extended warranty from the get go! Instead you knew you could get me for more! Honda you should be embarrassed with your service department not only was I stolen from the treatment the next day was mind blowing
It’s not a bad place at all. My issues was with the waiting time frame to finalize the paperwork’s. Originally the appointment was at 10am but we couldn’t make it on time but we called. And they said we need it to wait into 2pm. 2pm came, 2:15pm 2:30pm and by 2:35 that was when they decided to called us.
Sales and Customer Service at Ray Laks is HORRIBLE. I do NOT recommend anyone go there for a Used vehicle. The Only decent person there is Mark in the Finance department. The Sales department is Useless. The Used car sales manager is Useless. The General Manager is Useless. Got a car from there 3 months ago and it has been in the shop more than we have had it. About 2 months ago they sent the car to a Ford dealer to have the transmission fixed. Well yesterday the transmission totally crapped out and wouldnt move and the engine started blowing white smoke out the exhaust. Im pulling the license plates off and letting the POS go.
Decent sales experience. no one was around to greet me I stood in the front area for ten fifteen minutes until someone acknowledged me. then, I didnt like that during the process sales would disappear and I had no idea what was happening or any clue as to status. I was just waiting around like an idiot. double check your paperwork as my negotiated price was forgotten and they tried to get me to sign for the original price instead. Im also disappointed that the follow up items they said they would do they didnt. they have a good thing going and perhaps their slipping a little. still the best of the overall experiences I had at the many dealerships I went to.. but not the best Ive ever had.
Worst service Ive ever gotten! I went in for a routine oil change and Tire rotation and I got much more. I got loose tires, a 2 hour wait time to find out my car had been serviced and supposedly done way before we went to check on it we noticed people in and out and we are just wondering whats taking so long. Come to find out no one notified us that the car had been serviced already. I went to drive home and it was the worse ride Ive ever had in my vehicle. I knew something was up. We called Honda to see if they could see the vehicle or check it outThe service man rick assured us nothing was wrong. He told us to drive it a few days and see how it does after explaining the wheels felt it were going to come off. So we took the vehicle to another mechanic and come to find out NONE OF THE TIRES WERE EVEN TIGHTENED. I came in with my family and explained I have children in the car and yet they could care less of risking our lives. I will be asking for a refund! No one deserves this treatment!!
Bought a used Civic from here in August of ‘19 and was lied to by the service department about the state of a recall that the car hadn’t had fixed and I discovered once I brought it home. On top of this I was handed another car’s spare key when I was given my primary and secondary key on leaving the dealership to drive home. When I went to unlock the car with the second key fob turns out it was for another car, and in fact they had given another person my key fob. I was told to give them a couple of weeks so they could retrieve the key fob from the other person and get it to me.The dishonesty and attitude at this dealership astounded me. It’s been nearly 6 months and still no second key. I’ve complained to the sales manager in multiple occasions and never gotten a call back. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Hands down, this was our best car buying experience ever, and weve been doing this for 30 years. This was an unexpected purchase, however we took great pains to compare shop; we had no previous experience with Ray Laks. Karen was our first contact. She was helpful, straight forward and gave us great directon. Steve, our salesman, was the best either of us has ever had. I cannot say enough about his honesty and down to earth persona. This man is the real deal. There is no insincerity or disingenuousness for the purpose of a sale. I have walked out of any dealerships due to such behaviors in the past without regret. Mariah, in the warranty department, continued to impress us with a professional but real approach to an incredible bumper to bumper warranty with unlimited miles. All three of these people have social skills that (as a long time therapist) you simply can not teach. I hope corporate realizes this too. Having been in charge of agencies over decades I learned early to value those with the unteachable skills because those are the ones that keep you successful.
I brought our 2012 Pilot to Ray Laks because of a growling sound coming from the rear of the car. Josh called me to recommend that they replace the differential fluid and I agreed to do it . He also recommended a list of services including brake fluid, steering pump fluid, transmission fluid, and coolant replacement as well as timing belt replacement. Josh told me that failing to replace the timing belt could result in engine failure. I was concerned and asked him to call when the differential fluid was replaced. He called back and I agreed to have the timing belt replaced. I told him that I had work done on the engine last week and the serpentine belt was replaced. When I arrived to pick up the Pilot and read the invoice, I noticed that I was charged $180.00 for spark plugs. I told Josh that the plugs were replaced with the serpentine belt and were new. He claimed that replacing the plugs was part of the job. Part of the job or not, I do not understand how a qualified technician and a customer oriented service consultant would unnecessarily replace new parts and charge to do it.
My wife and I brought our car to be serviced a couple weeks and although I have nothing terrible to say about the actual service, I am highly disappointed in management and the way they talk to the employees and it has sat with me the last couple weeks so I finally decided to write this review. While waiting I saw a manager named John berating an employee. After him scolding this man like he was a child I could tell the employee was emotional. I wish I would’ve stepped in and said something because no body deserves to be treated that way. I will never bring my car back to a company that employs management that treats his employees like they are children and lower then him . I can only imagine what happens when he’s yelling at his employees behind closed doors .
How come someone sell cars without any benefit or losing some money on cars to run their business!! They think customers come without doing any research. They are still using old tricks for selling cars. It was a moment when I show them lower quotes from other dealers and they were trying to make up things. Bottomline, never believe on telephone lady, she will convince you anyway with imaginary deals. I wasted my half day visiting their dealer shop and went back purchased from other better price dealer.
We went there for a recall on our car and I was very disappointed in the service man’s behavior with an elderly man who was wanting new tires because he was concerned his car wasn’t safe to continue driving with the spare and he had been there before but was told that they had to order them and he was told to come in this day but they still didn’t have his tires and they didn’t care. They should have offered a loaner until they got his fixed because it clearly was their fault, instead of arguing with him for 30 minutes.
Wish I could give 0 stars. Worst place to buy a vehicle. Of course the sales people are very kind... thats there job and getting people to buy a car. 2 years ago I had bought a used 08 ford escape. Looked good and sounded good. Over the past 2 years Ive probably had to spend almost 10k on this car. Oh and still paying off payments... most of the stuff isnt covered by warranty. Dont buy a car from here!!
Terrible. I was in contact with the manager regarding a newly listed used car. I confirmed with the manager on the day I went in that the car was available. Drove an hour just to be told by that same manager that the car had been sold 1-3 days prior. Either dishonest or dumb. Doubtful they will have our business again.
Today, while driving North from Florida to New York state, I spotted a 1997 Honda Civic on the I-95N in Georgia. Unfortunately, it reminded me of the bitter experience I had at Ray Laks Honda more 20 years ago when I lived in Buffalo and my wife and I purchase two of these cars brand-new from then salesman and now Leasing Consultant, C.R. So deep is my disappointment with this salesman and the entire dealership, that when I reached my hotel, I made it a point to find-out if he was still there after 20+ years so that I could leave this review and finally have a sense of closure. My advice: unless you have the ability to set aside all emotion and clearly dissect a business deal within a couple of minutes, as I now do, just steer clear of these predators. Regardless of what they tell you, do not sign anything at all until you understand every detail and aspect of the sale from beginning to end. These folks are not your friends. Im glad that technology has reached the point that we can all voice our thoughts publicly and (hopefully) be heard by other potential customers before they too, become embittered with a poor and deceptive sales experience.
Place is a clown show, don’t go here. The manager I spoke to was very rude and tried to take advantage of me and made me pay too much for the SUV I was looking at because he assumed I didn’t know what I was talking about. Lots of other places for me to find a vehicle
If you are looking to purchase a car.. make sure to contact Jim Schuh! I have purchased and leased a lot of cars from several dealerships.. and he was by far the best and easiest to work with. He handled everything over text and email and I came in to sign papers and was out in 30 minutes! He also gave us a great deal!
Buying a new car should of been exciting ...however Im very disappointed my sales man Frank promised many things..one of new tires upon pick up he looked me in the face as I asked if those were new tires he said yes Come to find out they where not. Seems as soon as he collected my money I became a non factor. He did schedule me a appointment to make good on the new tires, and the services Department severely damaged my tire cover, costing me over 100 dollars to repair. There are many other things that did not come through that they promised. Will not recomend ray laks to anyone
I recently bought a 2010 ford fusion from you. I dont know how service ever passed this car on inspection. And you now refuse to fix any issues with it. A leaking gas tank and warped rotors arent significant enough issues apparently. Not what I would expect from a large dealership. Zero stars
My auto representative was very professional, informative, motivational, made me excited about my purchase. I felt comfortable of what I was getting, reassured and very pleased of how well he took care of me & whatever I needed and answered everyone one of my questions & concerns. I would definitely refer people here!!
I would highly recommend Ray Laks Honda for your next car. The website was excellent for looking at the cars before I even came in. They had the car ready for me to test drive and took care of quickly getting me a fair price for my trade in. I would recommend Karen Haines as the sales associate to work with. Her knowledge, attention to detail, and quick response to my questions was excellent.
After being a long time customer of Ray Laks, purchasing multiple vehicles from them throughout the years, I definitely do NOT recommend them.I purchased a used vehicle from them. Between the test drive and the vehicle pick up, they switched the tires from fairly new Goodyear Eagles to used Bridgestone Duellers that had several thousand miles on them already (I work for a tire company so I know tires). Not only all that, but during negotiation, they were only willing to take $500 off the sticker price, for a me, a regular customer of almost twenty years. Id purchased new and used.vehicles from them in the past.I should have walked away right then and there. But I didnt, still trusting them from the previous 15 years of business I had done with them. I know now that was my big mistake.Lastly, when I tried to refinance the vehicle somewhere else, because the rate they gave me at the time was ridiculously high given my almost perfect credit score (720), and after putting $2000 down on the vehicle, I was told that I didnt have enough equity in it to be able to refinance it. Come to find out that their finance people extended my previously agreed upon loan term of 60 months well beyond that, without my knowledge or permission. This dealership is the epitome of slimeballs. DO NOT GO THERE. Hondas are GREAT cars, but dont buy one from Ray Laks.
Broke down on the Turnpike and got towed to Ray Laks. Service rep Josh Kiddy was kind, helpful, and anticipated every need. Picked up the phone to get me a car rental, offered to drive us to the car rental office, suggested a place to eat lunch, and generally took care of us in every way. Repair was done quickly and communication was excellent. Thank you so much!!
Horrible service department. My third time back here in a week trying to get a detail that they promised me after leasing a car. The car I leased from them had garbage between the seats and leaves on the interior. They gave me the car without a wash because the service department was behind Now I am sitting in their waiting room coming up on three hours and they haven’t even started the detail that should have been done before I received the vehicle. Horrible service to someone who just conducted business with them. Not a good look.
ABYSMAL----------- Do other way to describe how a customer is treated by the service team. We picked up our 2012 CR-V on on January 20, 2020 and will NEVER return to Ray Larks Honda. I was literally berated by the Service man when inquiring on the 39.95 charge to install wiper inserts. The man yelling at me DO YOU EXPECT US TO WORK FOR FREE? and other nasty comments. BEWARE, there bate and switch experts.
I recently purchased a used car from Ray Laks Honda on Orchard Park Road. I would like to take this opportunity to express what a good experience I had with your sales people and the used car manager.Nick Coyle was the salesman that sold me the car. He made my car buying experience pleasurable. Most people do not enjoy walking into a car dealership to purchase a car. It can be a stressful experience but there was no stress when I walked in the door at Ray Laks. I was put at ease and there was no pressure put on me. Also the salesman and used car manager made me comfortable and took care of absolutely everything.I will recommend your dealership to everyone I know. Thank you for taking the stress out of purchasing a car.
Buyers beware!!! If I could give this post 0 stars I would but that is not an option. We had by far the worst customer service in my life at this dealership. Took vehicle in for check engine light to have them run a diagnostic check and pretty much clear the code and proceed to tell us there is nothing wrong. And charging us $149.00 to do so! I could have got that done at autozone for free!!! Not even 24 hrs later the light is back on.Took it back to them for them to tell us that they were gonna check it out again and if they dont find anything wrong it was gonna be another $149.00! So I take it to my mechanic to have him plug it in for free ofcourse for him to tell me this is a stored code it should have been fixed properly the first time we were there under the extended warranty.. If I can offer any advice at all about our experience it would be Take your business somewhere else!!!! We will not be returning and will never reccomend anyone to go here!!! 👎👎👎
I went in for a rattle repair of 18 pilot which was leased from ray laks. During the test drive, service tech tells me he does not hear the sound within one minute of test drive. Later on, he tells me sound is there but it is from the brake and normal. Squeaky sound/rattle is coming from the seat, not from the brake. How do you claim that something is normal when you do not even know where the sound is coming from. Clearly this guy has no intention of addressing this issue. Later on he tells me that he does not want to charge me a diagnostic fee of 140, when this car clearly has a comprehensive 3yr/36k mile factory warranty. What a BS! He tells me Honda quality is not as good these days. Great to know that Honda quality has declined over the years but your job is to address the issues not give your customers BS excuses to send them home for a job that does not pay well. GO RAY LAKS FOR A GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, YOU SURE WILL WASTE YOUR TIME.
Had an EXCELLENT experience with the service department of this Honda Dealer! Needed an emergency repair 90 minutes before closing time on a Friday and technician got car assessed, explained damage, repaired and test driven within an hour. We were back on the road right away, thanks Joshua Kiddy and the service team!
Sold me a roach, now wont return my calls. When I bought my car they tried to inflate the price on the bill of sale and had I not caught it while they hurried me along to sign the paperwork, they would not have given me the price we actually agreed to. In addition to that Ive had the car less than 1000 miles and it has a host of issues that these guys basically offloaded in to my lap. I have tried calling and emailing multiple managers at this dealership (sorry reception at ray laks youve transferred me to mailboxes several times) and no answer, no response.I took this up with the BBB (Reference: Complaint ID: 13170680) and the dealer responded to me. They offered to buy back my roach that they sold me, buy building the cost of the vehicle in to the next car they wanted to sell me. When they made this offer of building the cost of my roach in to balloon loan on another car they told the BBB that they offered to buy me out of the car when in fact they hadnt. Now the BBB has since closed out the case and I was left to eat the cost of off-loading the car elsewhere on top of the repairs I had to make to get it in condition to sell.Avoid this place at all costs. Seriously. Basil, Northtown are two other large dealer networks in Buffalo. They cant be as devious or shady as all of this was.
The salesman are pushy and they want to run a hard inquiry on your credit report before you even make the decision to get a car from them. They then keep hounding you when you tell them you have a few cars in mind at different dealerships they called so many times and left so many messages and emails when I told them Id follow up and let them know of my decision that their pushiness and harrassment made me not want to do business with them. The sales person asked if I have good credit I said I do and he then said about running my credit like I said I was looking at a few different places and the others did soft inquiry on my credit and for them to do a hard inquiry does take a point or few from the persons score. My main thing was that they harrassed me so bad for my business even after I said no I had to block them to stop getting the calls.
We travelled to Buffalo for the weekend from Toronto and our 2017 Honda Pilot would not start. We called this dealership to ask for a loaner Honda Pilot so that we could travel back to Canada and the service manager hung up the phone on us on 3 different occasions. We left a voice mail for the general manager about this situation. We don’t know if our situation will be addressed because this dealership does not know anything about how to provide customer service to Honda clients that do not live in America. I am quite disappointed by the level of service that we received and about our unplanned extended “mini vacation” in buffalo. I WOULD RATE THIS DEALERSHIP 0 STARS IF I COULD!!!!

2022-03-25I came to Ray Laks to test drive a used car with my daughter. Frank was super accommodating and very patient while she test drove the one car she came to see and then 3 more. We ended up buying the lastCar she drove and the closing process was very easy and streamlined. However as we left the dealership we noticed a check engine light that was not on when we drove it, but it was past closing time so we drove home and called the next business day. The service area was awesome! They checked us in quickly, gave us a realistic expectation on turnaround time, and called me a few times throughout the day to keep me updated. It was really a painless trip to the mechanic. !

2022-04-06I purchased my 2015 Honda Civic from here in March of 2021. The vehicle was as advertised and I was very satisfied with my purchase one year later. The service waiting room here is very nice as well.

2022-05-03Ray Laks Hondas service department is wonderful. Most dealerships will nickel and dime you but Ray Laks does great work. I’ve brought my civic in a couple times and have been impressed by the service. Today I brought my car in for what I thought was a flat. Turns out it was a loose valve and they tightened it up and didn’t charge me. It’s service like that, that keeps people coming back and in turn churns a profit! I give them a lot of credit for doing good honest work. I’ll definitely bring my car back next time it needs work.

2022-03-15Whenever I get a service done, the people who help are always super friendly and willing to explain. I had an issue with my car and I wasn’t sure what was wrong, but Jeff and a service tech helped to explain everything and fix my problem. My most recent visit was for a state inspection, which was completed extremely fast. Their waiting area is always clean, and it has snacks and coffee if you have to wait awhile. I definitely recommend!

2022-07-08I would give them less than one star if I could. We are military and came home to visit and decide to get a new car. When we told them we needed it by Friday (we were there on Tuesday), there reply was “we can make this happen.” We got all our loan paperwork done, insurance set up, had our bank overnight a check (because the dealership didn’t want a wire transfer), done deal. NOPE the car we agreed to buy and went through all the work for. The car we were told we would have Friday ( Tomorrow), they couldn’t locate the title. That it would take a week. I am so mad. They were however able to get us another more expensive car. I am absolutely livid. They are not honest and I would never go to them if you had the option.

2022-05-20Just got home after driving four states over to Ray Laks Honda to check out a pre-owned vehicle. I came home in that same vehicle, and it is all thanks to a heroic sales and leasing consultant named Adrian. Adrian was attentive, knowledgeable, and overall just a pleasant person to talk to. The entire time we were there, Adrian made sure we were attended to, had everything we needed, and answered any questions we had, and he did all this while also helping out other customers. Hes just on top of his game. If youre thinking about purchasing a car from Ray Laks Honda, then ponder over it no more. Get yourself over there, and seek out Adrian if hes available! You will not be disappointed.

2022-03-25Bob Meer’s and his team did and excellent job! I flew in with my daughter from Beaufort South Carolina to look at a GMC Truck. The team picked me and my daughter up at the airport and took us to the dealership .Bob had the truck on a lift at my request so I could inspect before I even arrived.Bob and his team also had the credit information done so all we had to do was inspect the truck and test drive.Bob and his team even reduced the price and had a full tank of gas for the 875 mile trip home. I would highly recommend doing business with them and they explained everything in details.

2022-05-14Very disappointed by the behavior of the staff here. I have been hung up on twice by a service staff member and the general manager doesnt return calls. I had a great experiencing purchasing my car, but since then its gone downhill rapidly, to the point where I feel harassed by the dealership.*note - Kenneth was not available the two times I tried to call him during business hours. I have since spoken to the general manager and while he defended the actions of the harassing staff member and offered plenty of excuses, I feel he understood my frustration. However, he could not promise that they would stop contacting me regarding a car that was totaled over a year ago. I have since reported the issue to Hondas corporate office and was told by them that the dealership was lying to me regarding their responsibility in contacting me. I will not be returning to this dealership again.

2022-03-24My husband bought a brand new HRV on Saturday evening and drove the car once and woke up to a huge crack in the windshield. Contacted the dealer and service and they wouldnt do anything about it. We had to place a claim with our insurance on a 3 day old vehicle with less than 100 miles on it. This dealership couldnt take the time to make a customer happy and satisfied. Will never be going back here again. Lia Honda will get all our business in the future. Pathetic customer service to say the least.
