This is truly a hidden little treasure. A small spot but the food is delicious, I personally do not eat much pizza but for the first time I can say I was liking my finger because it was so delicious. The mushroom and chicken and the bacon and chicken slices were amazing. I could taste the flavors (not just tomato sauce like others🙄) and I love how nice and crispy it was. Simply delicious and definitely my go to place now.
Simulation/Imitation of Italian food...as my father says. They dont care.....salmon burnt, dry and no seasoning; burger same thing; marsala dish had no taste, sauce was watery; pizza was lackluster. Only decent thing was fries and the arugula from my salad. Im disappointed....like for real.
*0 starts* After 30 mins of placing my order on Uber, I called the shop to ask the status of my order since it wasnt updating on the app. Guy on the phone said my order had already left the store. Another 20 mins passed and nothing. I call the shop again and guy says my order actually hasnt been picked up yet and its been sitting out waiting for a driver ... 😳 i try to ask him if he had a driver that could deliver my food since store was closing soon and i have no vehicle hence me placing an order thru uber, i would even pay extra tip. He refused to help and rather lose out on money , a customer, and food. I asked the guy for his name he said why do you care and you dont need to know my name, i asked if he was the manager he said yes. Professionalism doesnt exist in this establishment, and I will never order from here again. I work in the Food Industry, been a restaurant manager and thats just not the way to talk to customers or do business in general. Dont order from here , take your business to people who appreciate your business!
First time eating here, the kid taking the orders was very sweet and helpful but the food is 100% mediocre at best. If you’re yt and never had flavorful food you’ll love it but it’s not a place I’d return to. Maybe just to get a slice for a good price but that’s about it.
Best slice of pizza beats alot of nyc pizzerias.... thin crisp crust, not too cheesy, sauce has the right balance sweet & savory... the hot sauce is a great addition
Worst pizza I’ve ever had. Ordered a “Buffalo Chicken Pizza” .. took 1hr to get it under the impression it would be fresh. Ha! Funny thought.. it was one of the pizzas they leave out all day and just pop in the heater and Wala! It’s ready to serve! My A**! DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE UNLESS YOU WANT WORSE QUALITY THAN DIGIORNO!
Love Rays! Food is awesome!We order from Rays A LOT!Everything is always fresh. They are always nice. I tried using one of the delivery service and it was an awful experience. Just call Rays and they will bring it over with no problems.If you havent tried Rays, your missing out!! Always 5 Stars!
So disappointed considering how Ive been ordering from this resteraunt for awhile now. I placed an order today and my order came incorrect ( I ordered a chicken parm roll, they brought me a hero ) I wasnt going to call at first, but then i realized I was charged more for their mistake. When I got on the phone with the guy (he said his name is Frank but I feel like he was lying about that) he exclaimed to me that i was wrong, and kept cutting me off and talking over me. How unprofessional and rude! He offered to send me a new order but after the way he was speaking to me, I felt as if he wouldve done something to it. I explained to him that I just wanted a refund, and didnt want anything else because I was so disgusted with this restaurant and the way they were handling this situation with a loyal customer, and he kept telling me no no no and the only way is if I come in and bring him the sandwich since its my mistake Never have i ever have had such a complicated, back and forth conversation with someone over a mistake they made to refund me! Any other restaurant Ive ever had any inconveniences with always corrected the mistake with no problems, but Rays just wants to make sure they can save a buck at the end of the day, even if it means their customers get treated like dirt. I am beyond disgusted, enraged, and appalled by the way I was treated at this restaurant! I will never come back! Nice way to treat customers who are feeding your pockets. BTW does anybody know who the owner of this place is!? They were very hesitant on giving me the name and number to complain, since you cant get anywhere with the people working at this place!
They have a coupon on their website for the cheese pizza, wings, garlic knots, and 2 liter for $22.95 and they charged $28.10 (before tip). They claimed it went up when I called them (after i ordered). Why couldnt they have changed it on their website?
Good Food. Usually. Good service. Usually. Ordered food at 6:24 pm and told 30-40 min. I called at 7:50 looking for my delivery and was told he left already, we have a lot of deliveries what do you want us to do?(Um IDK, 1. Tell customer that youre backed up. 2. Inform customer of longer than normal wait time. 3. Hire more drivers?)Really? Can u call and see if hes lost?Sure. *Click*Food arrives 8:03 cold and goes in to the oven. Comes out at 8:20. 2 hrs after I ordered.
Ordered dinner from them as we had a grubhub coupon and they were one of the few pizza places on the grubhub site. Everything was excellent, hot and fresh. Had pizza pies, eggplant rollatini, wings and their fabulous bread. More than exceeded expectations.
I walked in, ordered a pepperoni slice, and without washing his hands or putting on a glove he just grabbed the pizza, started grabbing pepperoni slices and putting them on the pizza. I dont know what he was doing before I walked in, but when I touch food I prepare, I at least wash my hands first. Never going back. 😝🙊
Chicken Francese had no flavor(lemon)and linguini was mushy, Tiramisu tastes like it was left in a refrigerator uncovered for a long time. Wings were OK. Bread was actually the best I ever ate.
Had mozzarella sticks and a slice with pepperoni. The slice was tasty but too oily. The mozz sticks were decent but Ive had better. I would go back though.
The food was very good, but they allow teenagers to hang out and become loud and disruptive, burping out loud and being disruptive when I was trying to have a sit down dinner. I would not recommend for a sit down dinner
I love Rays pizza. This location is just as good as the one in Suffern. It does get very hot in the back of the store, and the front seating is very narrow.
Good pizza, good wings and good deals...I havent tried their Italian food but Im pretty sure it would be good. Service is good and pleasurable.
The food is okay but the people who answer the phone just suck! My son always orders our food so I never had to deal with them until today. I had to repeat my request 3 times including my payment information, smfh

My wife placed an order online at 8 pm , it is now 930, an hr and a half later and we have not recevied our food.I called 3 times and there is no answer , phone rang for 4 mins each time.Will not use this place ever again.
FIRST TIME HERE AT RAYS ON S. MAIN ST. NEW CITY NY AND IS WAS VERY GOOD! SAUCE & PIZZA R AMAZING! NEXT TIME I WANNA TRY THERE BAKED PASTA DISHES ETC..
The delivery was slow, the food was small, the penne alla vodka was just penne, no vodka. Maybe the pizza is better, but I ordered from the kitchen and was terribly disappointed.

Absolutely horrible I ordered my food at 12:00pm and didnt get it until 2:00pm.. mind you my food was cold and didnt get refunded nor a discount ... it is very unethical for quality of service and I am extremely displeased.. Dont go here!
Okay so i spent $29+ tip (that the receptionist demand that i payed)on a meal that was cold that was supposed to come with a soda it didnt on the delivery mans was on his way out i awared him that he forgot my soda so i called they said they were sending it i called back an hour later and a man got on the phone and told me i had to wait another hour for the soda then got angry when i tried to explain my frustration WONT BUY FROM THEM AGAIN😲😲😲😤😤😤😤
Went for dinner and left because they seemed bothered and didnt know what to do. Lights were off. The pizza is really good though!

2022-04-23If I could give less then one star I would. They say 30-45 minutes and you don’t receive you pizza for 1.5 hours at best. They send the driver out with 4 or 5 delivery’s and by the time it reaches you it’s cold or the cheeese shifted in transportation. They don’t care when you call and tell them either. Stay away and safe your hard earned money.

2022-03-08Im sorry to say this but I have been going there for a long time and I have had enough of them getting my order wrong almost all the time. The portions are small and they have burnt the meatballs way too. many times.The food was good at one point I have vowed not to go back and I havent in over six months and I will not ever go back.

2021-12-28Expect this place to constantly mess up your order. They will forget to send you things. And they never say sorry or offer you a can of soda to say sorry, they just send the delivery guy back. Meanwhile, my food gets cold. The salads are tiny. The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars is because the food, if they don’t mess up your order, is good. And the delivery guys are great. Other than that, avoid this place. I’m officially done tonight after another botched order.I’m editing this review: Rays has gotten a lot better. They truly have improved with their service. The food is good, and the delivery guys are great. They do give smaller portions, especially the salad, but overall, I would recommend them.

2021-12-09A go to place for a good slice of pizza. I have ordered. main course dishes and they are what I would expect from a pizzeria. Tasty and priced well. Give them a shot if you are in the area. Parking is available on the street, so can be tough to find a spot at times.

2019-10-28Really good lunch deals. The penne bolognese is terrific! The pasta is al dente and nicely seasoned. Good bolognese sauce too. I usually get the chicken penne vodka wrap as well, also another great option. The fries that come with it are nice and crispy

2021-12-18Horrible! The delivery was in a soaked pizza box where the dinner had been spilled all over. The delivery person just smiled and said have a nice evenng. Too many great places in Rockland, avoid this disaster. The food wasnt great.

2021-04-26***DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. PIZZA TASTES HORRIBLE. NOT AUTHENTIC & ALSO FALSE ADVERTISING***Not sure how this place is still in business. I checked out their menu online and it clearly says Sunday special large pie for $10.50 pick up only. I placed the order for pick up and when I got there, they charged me $14.50 plus tax and when I questioned the charge and showed him the posted menu special online, he said I had to print a coupon. There was no coupon to print. There was a coupon right on their printed menu next to the register so I wanted to use that and he said that I can use it next time. To add to that, the pizza was small and tasted horrible. Not even my daughter wanted to eat it after tasting it. How can you screw up pizza? Will never order here again. Poor quality and poor customer service.

2017-06-22I am a pizza freak and i think a lot of these reviews are fake competitors because there are like 10 pizzerias in new city. This is the best. The service may not be the best but i guarantee you if you order a thin crust pie you will get a pizza like you are in Arthur avenue or italy.I have no reason to BS here,. the meals are good not the best like posa posa but again if you want to get down and dirty rays is better than new city pizza better than roccos and def better than dominoesThere lasagna is pretty good , they make there bread on the premises fresh so no need for rockland bakery and the owner though not italian makes fresh zepolis and canolis, very good deserts so good i told my aunt they were from little Italy, just so she would try them and she loved them!

2021-08-06Horrible service. I ordered way ahead and time, and when I arrived they see take several minutes before looking to help. Apparently they realized they gave my food to someone else, but instead of being upfront and honest, they tell me 5 minutes, without so much an apology or asking if it was OK to wait. I usually ordered 3-4 times a week from them, but no more. Time to go elsewhere where youre treated better.
