I have been going to Reboot Computers for several years now. I have been using PCs since 1984 and have done business with many computer organizations over the years. I have had four computers built by Joe, of Reboot, over the years (both low end and very high end) as well as using their data recovery and repair services. Over the course of these years I have had hours of conversation with Joe where he has freely given of his expert advice. I am confident that, at least as long as Joe is the owner of this business, you will not find a better place to have your computer problems solved or to have a custom machine built. While I would not say any of the prices I have paid are cheap I would say they were fair and of good value when the quality of everything received was considered. I score Reboot Computer 5 stars for Integrity, Knowledge, Value and ability to intelligently listen to YOUR concerns. I really cant understand how anyone could rate Reboot lower unless it was due to their ignorance or an honest misunderstanding. Let me conclude by adding that I do not know Joe outside my business experience with him; I dont even know his last name, and so I write all the above purely out of the satisfaction of having used his services over the years. This business is a jewel serving the Capital Region!
My new favorite place for computer parts.Im an avid gamer, been playing games and building my own PCs going on 20 years now. The owner Joe is an enthusiast just like me. Good prices, knowledgeable shop owner, and Joe has even held the shop open after hours for me to come in, grab some essentials. I will definitely be taking my business here first from now on, instead of Newegg or Amazon. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for premade PCs, computer parts, repair, or data services.

Joe built me a PC about 7 years ago now and its still running strong with no problems! Ive gone to Reboot with laptops and my gaming PCs, 5 stars.
Called to ask a very simple question was looking for a very simple answer he turned it into Im bazzar of right and youre swimming in the sea of wrong and unless you give me all the specific information I want Im not going to tell you let me proceed to hang up. Ddrl3 and ddr3nwork because ddr3l is backwards compatible and 1.5 and 1.35 work in the same way so why they couldnt help was anyones guess but thats what happens when you deal with elitest. This is why mom and pop stores are dying. I even said if it didnt work i would eat the cost. Still refused to help.
This is a great affordable place, especially if you need a spare cable or something like that. They also carry motherboards and graphics cards for upgrades along with computer repair.

Sells overpriced broken display model products as new and does not offer returns, which you wont know until its to late. Dont shop here its a rip off.

2022-01-21Well, Im mixed in my review. They were friendly, informative, nice. Explained this well. However, dropped it off on 12.23 and just got it back today. Which kind of seems a little excessive. The price was fair and reasonable. But I would preferred to be informed on what was going on rather then having to call to get information. Which was the only way I was going to get it, By calling. Overall it was a 3 out of 5. Didnt like the lack of communication though. That needs to improve drastically.

2021-06-23Recently sold a graphics card online and realized I had no anti static bags to ship the card in. Called every store in the area and they were completely sold out so I thought Id check with Reboot Computers. Went in, and the guy at the front desk grabbed one from the back and didnt even charge me for it! I will definitely be going back here for all my computer needs in the future.

2021-05-14Extremely helpful, friendly and communicative. Brought my custom PC in after replacing a bad power supply but couldn’t get it to fire. He figured out the issue quickly and got it to post. First experience with the shop and wish I had found him sooner.

2020-03-09I have used Reboot Computers on 4 occasions- twice to clean up massively infected hard drives once to replace a hard drive and, most recently, to buy a new computer. Joe, the owner, did great in each instance. He is personable and informed and really wants to get things right. The computer I bought was to run programs through a Sonos sound system and a Sony TV. The codex output did not work due to software compatibility issues and Joe installed a new video card for NO COST! Also service was fast and he is a great communicator.

He was extremely patient and helpful regarding my concerns and made some adjustments to my system ensuring its security.I will definitely utilize Reboot Computers for any needs I have in the future.Highly recommend!

2020-09-11Very nice people who talk you through what they are going to do and provide a fair price estimate. Thought my external hard drive was corrupted, but apparently it had been accidentally encrypted. They explained what had to be done at no cost. Would visit again if needed.

2019-08-30I had reservations about a purchase and it wasnt even an hour before I went back for a return. I was welcomed back as warmly as I came in and they were incredibly understanding and receptive of my request. If youre looking for the great computer people and great people in general, I would highly recommend Reboot.

2017-08-02Joe is great and very knowledgeable. I had a 1TB external hard drive fail on me. It literally had every picture and video on it since 2002 that I had ever taken which includes 3 kids, multiple family weddings etc. To say I was in a panic would be an understatement. Joe and his crew were able to recover the data and transferred them to a new 2TB external and suggested, which I agreed with, to have a second 2TB to back that up. They could have charged me anything and I would have paid it. They of course did not, instead charged a reasonable fee for their efforts and the products and I was very happy. Based on that good experience I bought a MacBook Air from them which was previously used. The unit works great and is in awesome condition. I cant recommend these guys enough. If you have an issue with your tech or you need an inexpensive laptop or computer, go check these guys out.

2018-12-30Joe is the best!! He does great work on my custom computer. He also fixed my childs laptop. He builds custom computers!! He is even working on a unit from my job for me!! Honestly you couldnt ask for a better guy. He and his wife are great people!!
