Red Jacket Park in other cities:
A quiet and beautiful park in Penn Yan. Although the much larger restrooms a few years ago were better in my opinion, these current restrooms are clean. The swim areais EXTREMELY SMALL, especially for older swimmers and adults!! Should definitely be larger for swimming. Best for simply getting cooled off and nothing more.
This is a great stop if youre on your way to rent jet skis from the other side of the lake. The bathrooms here are clean which is very very surprising. The views of the water is really awesome and you can also go inside the water itself. There are no places to get ice cream from a walking distance bo hoo hoo...This is one of those places that lets you appreciate Mother Nature while your kids are fighting other kids over whose turn is it on the swings.
This is a nice park with plenty of shade, a swimming area, and a playground that my kids really enjoy playing on! There is also a good amount of parking and if you go on an evening in the summer, you might get lucky and get to go to the Shaka shave ice truck! It’s nice that they have a lot of picnic tables to sit at too.
Quiet little park where you can eat lunch, while watching the lake, very relaxing. They also have a nice playground there for the kids, lifeguards in the summer, picnic area, grills for cooking. The only fault is there are no trash cans, you have to take it with you, which is ok
One of two parks managed by the village of Penn Yan. There is a supervised swimming area, picnic tables in a playground. Abundant shade amongst the mature trees in the park. Red Jacket has clean restrooms and changing facilities on site as well as a Pavilion that can be rented for special gatherings.
We were passing by. I was hoping to swim here but the water was closed because of an algae bloom. :( The waterfront area to swim was small anyway, and lots of goose poop was in the grass. Seems like a good picnic spot, and the playground is super cool, but not a good spot for avid swimmers.

2022-03-27The bathrooms here are nice because they are rooms with a toilet and sink not stalls. This has been helpful with small kids since you have room enough to be in there together to help change or wash hands. The playground has a nice diversity of equipment on it including seat swings with the pull down plastic harnesses.

2022-04-27Nice little park. Beautiful views a decent playground and picnic tables and grills. I do believe the park is carry in carry out though which is fine. Just make sure to bring a trash bag with you if you plan to picnic.

2020-08-14It was an enjoyable atmosphere. It wasnt overly packed (although, we were there afternoon on a Thursday). Nice breeze. Some picnic tables. A few public grills. Plenty of shallow water for little tikes. Little seaweed. Lifeguards were present. Good playground for primary-elementary school age children. An area without trees and away from foot traffic for playing catch or frisbee. Unsure if theres a restroom. Pleasant view of the lake.

2019-09-18Nice place to relax and take a dip in the northern end of the lake. No actual sand, just grass and stones. Lifeguard on duty several days a week. Picnic pavilions available. Make sure to check the NYS department of conservation website for the status on algae blooms before entering the water!

2018-11-14We took a long weekend at Keuka lake and found this great little playground. My 18 month old daughter and her 5 yo cousin had a blast!!! The playground was just right for both of them. The only real problem was the amount of Canada Goose poop on the grass surrounding the play area...but not a whole lot you can do about geese pooping habits. All around a great place for the young and old alike!!! We will be returning here on our next Keuka lake weekend!!!
