Positive: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved that the rooms did not have carpet, it was also spacious. Negative: I smelled cigarette smoke in my room in the morning, I inquired at front desk. I assumed it was a non smoking hotel & was told they had a few smoking rooms&they were below mine. It was not to bad so we stayed in that room. Learned 2 ask next time.
Friendly receptionist and well-maintained facilities. Overall, the experience was favorable, as the bathrooms were clean and the parking uncomplicated in the lot out front. There was free and fast wi-fi. The coffee was fresh, and decaffeinated tea and Sanka were offered. In November 2021 Larry Sharpe appeared here to address some supporters during his campaign for NY Governor.
The rooms for a double queen size bed was a little bit tight but they were clean and the lady I forget her name and elderly lady I believe it was Faye she was absolutely so beautiful and accommodated us so well. She definitely went above and beyond thank you so much we enjoyed our evening there
10 Day Stay review: HOTEL ITSELF IS EXTEMELY CLEAN!!!! I was VERY Impressed with that. The staff was SUPER Nice!!! It was Great being greeted almost everyday with a Hello and asked Several times how My stay Way. The Room itself, I Had a Non-Smoking King Size Suite was - A bit weird. Its EXTREMELY Cramped for being a King Room! Like the bed is 3 inches from the Dresser so you can only pull your drawers 1/3 of the way and you better be thin to walk through that area! The bathroom is SO tiny! OMG, they need a shelf or something! NO WHERE TO PUT ANYTHING- Especially for a 10 Day Stay. NO Shelf in Shower or wall.... All shampoo bottles, body wash razors had to sit on shower floor......The bathroom sink and counter are just WAY too tiny! The bathroom door is SO close to the toilet, LOL you cant PHYSICALLY SHUT THE BATHROOM DOOR because your nearly sticking out of the bathroom and the toilet paper rolls are BEHIND this door - - Very Inconvenient! The breakfast was VERY Nice. GOOD assortment and FRESH Coffee which is always a Plus! Upstairs rooms Noisy :( Sadly, I had to call 2 times to ask to have Music turned down - I mean it was Friggin LOUD but they seemed to handle it and all was well. VERY Quiet through the night! The AC and Heat worked BEAUTIFULLY..............BEST PART IS THE CLEANING STAFF. I mean they were TOP NOTCH! Jessel I believe her name was did an Amazing Job everyday and I am VERY THANKFUL...they work really hard and should be noted and complimented. I also liked that they had a washer/drayer for us to use! Worked Great too. Had a small workout room that I used and they had vending machines. I would ABSOLUTELY STAY HERE AGAIN Without Question!!!
Well the first 2 days Id stay was very good. But I felt the housekeeper was pushing for a tip with that envelope. And Thanksgiving day I came down to grab some food but I couldnt take it with me because food is ready but you have to wait till 6 but I was down there at five forty-five. she denied access to the food.. Im not happy with her Nothing is free in life somehow I paid for that breakfast that I couldnt touch .I wasnt even going to eat there it was a grab and go !!!!! Grrr!
Positive: The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We were also able to check in early which was amazing! The room and grounds are kept very clean. Convenient location close to the 90 and there¿s places near by to eat. Negative: The walls are very thin. If you¿re looking to relax and get rest this might not be the best choice for you. We stayed for 5 nights and every night we had an issue with people being up late yelling. I¿m talking to 5-6 am.
We stayed over the weekend and the check in process was very fast and easy. Stephanie was the clerk behind the desk who insisted she help carry our bags! Absolutely amazing customer service I felt right at home! The next morning we were greeted by Maria who showed us where the breakfast room was and she made it like a restaurant experience! We even had help wrangling the kids in the breakfast room with Tracys help who Tracys even on the clock. Unbelievable service I justEveryone weve encountered there goes above and beyond! Thank you staff at redroof inn!
From the lovely lady working the front desk to the pine sol smell when entering our hallway, to the cleanliness of our room, yes!!!! This is DEFINITELY the hotel I will be recommending for anyone coming to Batavia NY! It has similar prices to the others nearby(super 8, days inn etc) but the standards they have for their hotel are BY FAR higher than the other nearby hotels! Ill definitely be back! Also, breakfast was perfect! Thank you so much, all of the staff, for showing that you care about the comfort of your guests!!!
This hotel is updated and I appreciated the new laminate flooring. Ive always hated hotel carpets. The room amenities are nice since we traveled far and during Christmas. The fridge with small freezer and microwave were handy. My only wish was the rooms with two beds had a queen instead of full. My husband is 61 so it was tight with the both of us in bed. The kids didnt mind the other bed. The bathroom is a bit tight but the shower is large. Great location near plenty of stores and restaurants to choose from.
I was not thrilled about this hotel and definitely wont be back. I didnt like the smell of the room when we first got there. It did take awhile to get used to it though. The bathroom was so small that you bumped into the door right from the Itty bitty toilet that you almost had to sit on the floor to pee. The fridge needed to be bolted into the cubby hole it was in so as not to wear the whole fridge everytime you tried to open it.
By far one of the nicest looking Red Roofs we have stayed in. However, customer service was TERRIBLE. They didnt let us know what time breakfast was, they are rude whenever you speak to them and overall the customer experience is very poor. Its not just one front desk personal, its all of them.We are considering switching our reservations mid trip due to the terrible customer service.
We stayed in room 117 and 216, nice clean hotel. Clean sheets. Clean bathrooms. They provided all the nessecities I like to have when staying in a hotel. Hair dryer, iron, lots of outlets and plugs, good coffee, fridge... the ac unit worked great! They even had breakfast, which Ive noticed is a thing of the past post covid pandemic. We all slept like babies! The hallways did smell like a mixture of smoke and perfume, but the rooms didnt smell at all.The Eagles guy was in town playing a show, so people were partying. But, that was just a coincidence.
Nice location near the New York State Thruway (former Treadway Inn).Due to COVID the breakfast area was closed, however, they had a very good menu and you could order your breakfast in a bag.Room was clean.Sliding pocket door to the bathroom was very heavy and hard to close with a very small handle.
I have to commend the staff at the Red Roof Inn. They were on point and the most helpful folks with anything that we needed. The LaQuinta actually moved us over to the Red Roof Inn because of a power issue. The Red Roof Inn delt with the situation in the best possible manner! Id like to say thanx very much for your kindness and professionalism displayed by all involved.
Very kind and helpful staff. The common areas and rooms smelled and appeared very clean and sanitized. My room didnt have a very nice view as it looked out over the first floor roof of our hotel. My room was very nice with a modern and a inviting warm motif.I had an overall pleasant experience staying at this Batavia Red Roof Inn and would recommend this hotel to others.
For a budget hotel the stay and room were very nice. We upgraded to a king size bed (only about $10 more, totally worth it!). The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Bathroom sink is updated but not very well designed - if you turn it up too high the water might splash across the counter or on you rather than down into the bowl. Overall definitely a good price for the stay!
When I enter a motel room its got to look and feel as clean as my own home. This is the only way I can rest comfortably. Our room was just that. I did not feel as though I needed to get out the disinfectant. I was very much impressed. Bed was comfortable and bug free. Also, a big plus. Thumbs up to the renovation and to the staff!
It was mediocre, pretty clean and didnt smell bad. The most obvious improvement would be to have an extra blanket in a drawer for guests who get cold at night to use. They are obviously trying hard to invest in the rooms which I admire but the room and especially bathroom were designed oddly with everything super high, also the bathroom didnt have like soap racks or stuff. Also if you have trouble with stairs be sure to request a first floor room cause there is no elevator but was fine for us.
Looks like the hotel has gone through some renovations. Though the side door into the hotel doesnt have a lock on it and it looks like some of the holes in the walls have not been repaired properly. (They havent been filled in.) However, the room was nice and clean in the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was your usual Hotel breakfast, but it was fresh and the hotel staff was very nice.
Clean, updated, well appointed. Its a budget hotel, so dont expect fancy, but its a fine place to spend a night. The room was small - we had to negotiate our path between the beds and desk/counter b/c it was too narrow for two people to pass. The a/c was pretty loud - Clean white noise with no rattling, so it was noticeable mainly just when it came on or off.Otherwise the room had everything we needed, including a fridge. We were pleased to find a hot breakfast waiting before 5:30 am.
Pretty upscale for a Red Roof. Tom was small but clean and comfortable. Staff is wonderful, especially Cassie at the front desk. The manager himself came to fix our remote control (which took two seconds). The hotel was very quiet, even on New Years Eve. Im taking one star off because the matress was awful and the pillows were worse.
The room was good, small but comfortable. The beds were comfortable, the tv channel options were good and the bathroom was clean. The hallway smelled of smoke even though I reserved a room at the end of the no smoking hall. Very gloomy hotel and although I looked for an elevator I could not find one
Front desk people were super nice but the fire alarms went off in the middle of the night and about 12 hours later when we were there. Upper floor was super smokey. They said theres a complementary hot breakfast but we got breakfast in a bag the first morning and the second morning there wasnt anything.
I honestly loved it here. Its not some fancy-shmancy hotel. But it was very clean, updated and modern. The help was amazing as well. The breakfast spread was actually pretty impressive. They have multiple cereal choices, a few muffin and bagel choices, a waffle press with waffle batter readily available, sausage, bacon, eggs, juices and coffee, fresh fruit and more. We had a great stay.
My go to, reasonably priced, place to stay. Its a very decent hotel, the rooms are clean, and most of the staff are nice. I have had a couple staff who arent so nice, but that happens sometimes. Not too many complaints here.Update(September 20th 2020): Staying here again until my son is born. My grandmother was nice enough to cover the cost for my husband and I, she qualifies for a senior citizen discount. Kathy, one of the staff here, had placed us in room 116, as it is a little hard to go upstairs at 39 weeks pregnant. When we arrived a different staff, Vie, placed us in room 243, despite it being in the computer that we were supposed to be in 116. We didnt complain, accepted this and moved on. My grandmother, upon finding out, spoke to Kathy about this, who was not happy that wed been placed in the wrong room. She fixed the mistake for us. Today while looking over our receipt, we realized that itd appeared that my grandmothers discount had not been applied for the first 4 nights of our stay, after which the price dropped to what it should be with the discount added. Upon talking to Vie, who was working at the front, about this, she said that the room change was because a complaint was made about the room fee. We stay here often and know the price points and have no reason to complain. I do really feel like my grandmother was jipped out of her discount, which isnt okay, in my opinion.
Exactly what I want in a budget hotel. We got the Superior King room option, which I definitely recommend. It wasnt much more than a regular room but came with microwave, refrigerator, and coffee machine. The bed was gigantic, of course, but good quality, very comfortable.Room was clean, quiet, not huge but completely adequate and comfortable. Nothing sketchy, and we felt completely secure. Front desk was on the ball and friendly. Complementary breakfast was a little above and beyond for a bargain accommodation. Parking was slightly confusing -- they share their lot with another hotel -- but, in the end, quite convenient. Also convenient to the highway, and there was a Target just down the street, among other handy nearby businesses. If you think you might want softer pillows or extra towels, Id recommend asking up front. Many, many hotel inconveniences or disappointments can be speedily remedied if you just ask the front desk, and this was a front desk Id say was worth asking.Wed absolutely stay here again. Cant ask for more at half of what most hotels this nice would charge.
We stayed in a nice room, very clean, the beds were smaller than I expected, 2 double beds, a nice sized dorm fridge, microwave, tv. The continental breakfast requires shoes and the coffee is in crafts not a continuous dispenser. The entire breakfast was much less appealing that I had hoped. We stayed at the relax inn just before here and I would much rather have saved the money and stayed at the relax inn. No pool, no elevator, not as comfortable for those with disabilities as parking is not close to the building. Vending room is horribly loud. All the employees were super nice.
Overall, a pretty good experience! To start off, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was mediocre at best, and somewhat limited selections. The only legitimate thing to be aware of is that it’s super close to the thruway and you can hear the traffic from the room. That being said, the Red Roof Inn at this specific location is better for one or two nights and not an extended stay.
The website would have you believe this hotel was fully remodeled and sparkling clean, my experience in September 2018 speaks otherwise. We checked in arrived to our non smoking King Superior room (#207) and found it to be very tiny with a tiny bathroom as well. We settled in and noticed a faint smell of smoke. After 5 minutes the smell was so bad it was like someone was smoking right next to me. I called front desk and she said the non smoking rooms 100-105 were below me and really didnt offer anything else. After a few minutes I went downstairs to the front desk and asked for a different room and she gladly gave me one on the other side of the hotel.New room was the same small shoebox and layout and smelled like cleaning products but at least it was smoke free. While the rooms here have been renovated, they are done with cheap materials, cheap laminate flooring and horrible uncomfortable beds. The bathroom has a nice walk in shower, but is very tiny overall! And whats with the 24 door? Had to suck it in just to fit through it!The mattresses here are not full size standard thickness. They are about 8 inches thick and are hard as a rock. You move and can hear the springs inside creak. Suffice to say I got no sleep.Only highlight of the stay was the hot breakfast in the morning. Make your own waffles, hot eggs and sausage (they were obviously previously frozen but at least its better than not having them) cereal, muffins, fruit, milk, apple and orange juice and coffee. One piece of advice for management.....change the color temperature of the lightbulbs in the hotel! The white bright daylight color is very hard on the eyes. Every single light from room lamps, bathroom lights to hallway, front desk and breakfast room light fixtures used a harsh bright white light that is very unappealing. Change your bulbs to soft white and it will make the place feel much more warm, inviting and relaxing!!Overall I would not stay here again. I understand in this price point you shouldnt expect much but there were not enough hits; way too many misses!Oh btw this hotel has no elevator. Theres an elevator there but at some point in the past the state must have told them they need to replace it as it is so old and ancient it has been reduced to staff only use. Must not be safe for customers to use/ada accessible. Talk about an epic fail staring you right in the face after checking in!
We stopped here on our way from Ohio after seeing good reviews recently; however, within 20 minutes of getting into our room we immediately regretted not staying somewhere else. The room was small but manageable- the AC didn’t work/ it wouldn’t stay on and the walls are paper thin. We are three hours into trying to sleep and continuously hear screaming children running the halls- the people in the room where the headboard is attached yelling, slamming doors and banging things around. All we wanted was a decent nights sleep and I don’t think it’s going to happen. Spend the extra $30 and stay at one of the other hotels around.
Hotel staff was super friendly. Could tell that the building was recently remodeled so that was a plus. Price was very reasonable- considering pets are free. The only reason why I personally did not give it a 5 star was because the wifi did not connect, however it did connect to my fiances phone. The bed was to firm for my liking but ive slept in worse and lastly when we came into our room after checking in the garbage was not taken out and their were empty beer bottles everywhere.
Not the worst, but not the greatest. The biggest flaw is theres no elevator, so if your on the 2nd floor, your stuck lugging everything up. Generally clean, however someones stuff was left in fridge. Toilet bowl was not secure to ground, and wobbled badly, great for maneuvering out a wiggler though!. Its okay for the value, but things certainly need inproved.
Staff was extremely accommodating. Had car issues and let my wife and son (2 years old) stay a little after check out time until we were able to get a rental car and continue on our journey.I enjoy staying at Red Roof Inns and always have good experiences with staff and rooms.
The over use of Febreeze was a killer on my nose and lungs. The attempt to upgrade the rooms was lost on me with the smell of air freshener. The rugs need to seriously be cleaned. We turned off the AC and needed a blast of heat which smelled as if it was on fire. It took hours for the place to clear out. Contemplated several times sleeping in the car.
Great place to stop on a long road trip to sleep. Clean room, cozy bed, and check-outs not until noon. The night manager was lovely and check-in was quick, however my credit card was declined. Thankfully I had cash, but the mistake rendered my card useless for the rest of the trip until I could fix the problem.
Convenient place to stay for Darien Lake, not bad price. Down side: hallways smelled of old smoke, beds were ok comfort, but super squeky, internet was not easy to get on free WiFi, and no elevator to second floor. Another plus was the room did have a microwave and nice mini fridge. Also, it looks like they had recently laid laminate flooring, which I think was nice. Breakfast was included and surprisingly not bad. You could make a waffle, they had eggs, sausage, bagels, cereal, bread and muffins.
We usually stay at La Quinta b/c of our pets but they were out of rooms so they directed us here. Today the free hot breakfast items were scrambled eggs shaped like small pancakes & sausage links. Loved it. The rest is standard continental fare. Newly updated, clean & modern rooms, but cramped inefficient layouts. The bathrooms really need towel racks, hooks. Caters mostly to families w/ kids on their way to the nearby theme park, so dont arrive late to breakfast if you dont fancy the chaos.
The place reaked of Indian food in the afternoon..and the help came into my room while I was at breakfast with DnD on door and some stuff was missing.Had to call the police. Convenient that there is no cameras in hallway.Worst hotel ever.Need air fresheners and SECURITY.Make sure if u leave room .u dont leave anything you would missFunny that there are two comments on here about maids in rooms when they shouldnt be.where theres smoke theres fire #crookedhotel
Great experience checking in went smooth even late at night after kingdom bound and the bed was comfy and ac worked really well had nice lighting in room mini fridge kept some treats and drinks cold and the breakfast was splendid the staff are super friendly and servants at heart. Felt very blessed to stay here and it was only 25 mins from Darien lake kingdom bound 😇
Clean yes, comfortable and cheap yup. They employ sneak theives. Watch your belongings if you leave your room. My cell phone charger and other electronics magically disappeared when I left for work. Came back my room was cleaned and my stuff was gone. I will not stay there again.
Bad experience.. I was sleeping.. and the housekeeping came in my room.. wondering around.. picked up all my towels.. said she wasnt even the room.. came to realize the towels were gone after I got out of the shower.. I said to the desk /owner I needed towels because the housekeeping people never replaced them after they said they werent in my room.. definitely wont be back....
This Red Roof Inn was promising at first. Didnt look run down like the ones in Erie and Maumee. The room looked like it had been updated. Beds were very comfortable. The reason we stay at RRI, is because we travel with a dog and they are welcome. In the morning, our dogs food bowl was covered in ants. I told the front desk person and all she said was Sorry. Would you like your receipt?
Unexpectedly ended up staying a couple nights. nice room, great staff Belinda (front desk) very pleasant and helpful as well as Alice (housekeeping) and another young gentleman from housekeeping who was also pleasant, professional and helpful.regaurding questions about delivery, finding fitness room etc. Even when I made a silly mistake with waffle maker i was not treated like an idiot i was nicely told i had to turn the griddle over. Nearly as Unexpectedly as i ended up there i had to leave after asking to extend my stay Belinda was very nice and understanding i would definitely stay again. The hotel Im in now about an hour away smh ooh how i appreciate the red roof lol :)
This hotel advertises neon signs that indicate it has a lounge (bar) and an Applebees restaurant. In fact, the bar operates only sporadic summer hours and the Applebees is over a mile away. Alas, its only potential redeeming features. We paid an inflated $160 for a small 2nd floor room with a full size bed, pillows made of cement and sheets that could pass for 100-grit sandpaper. The bathroom shower head had all the force of a garden hose and we were given 2 bath towels that mightve passed for facecloths were it not for the process of elimination it took in determining there actually were smaller linens accompanying them. Speaking of elimination, the toilet reclined and was somehow state of the art, as it could easily have hosted a 400 lb man. The bathroom walls, however, had mold. The exposed toilet paper roll square was thoughtfully folded into a triangle, in a valiant attempt to detract from the fact that they had not supplied a new roll. An extension cord passed from a wall socket to beneath the carpet into I shudder where. The dated halls reeked of curry. The continental breakfast was truly Continental-- as a flurry of burkas and sari-clad guests descended upon it with a vigor that left the actual patrons staring blankly at an inoperable waffle machine, one greasy sausage patty and a smashed poppyseed mini muffin; an obvious casualty resulting from the aforementioned breakfast stampede. I can say this, in my review. Of all the hotels Ive ever stayed in, this was one of them.
I have been dealing with this location for over a month about refunding my money for a duplicate bill, and because f them being a franchize and not part of the corporate theyre getting away with it.. i was calling for almost 2 weeks when i finally reported them because of not being able to speak with a manager I was told it should be back on a Friday and if it wasnt back by the afternoon to give her a call back, when I did I was told shes on vacation for two weeks... this is not right at all..
The rooms are clean no bugs and the housekeeping goes above and beyond my expectation and good price and the beds are very comfortable and staff are very nice no pool and I wish there was more than one washer and dryer and more snack options but there is a gas station right next door so all in all Id say very nice for the price we pay
The worst experience that I have with hotel, book my room and they call me after 20 min to tell me the room is not available, I will never stay in the hotel Ill rather sleep in my car, but for sure they svipe my credit card, and some ass name Jimm wos so unprofessional and really rude...

2022-05-14Clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Plentiful breakfast. Our cat and dog were welcomed, which made us feel at home. Right off the NYS Thruway exit in Batavia. I give it a 5 ⭐ rating!

2022-04-06It was a nice and clean hotel room where my husband stayed as he had to wait until his truck got fixed at the nearby dealership. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. Everything was upto the mark. I was able to book the room over the phone .The only thing he had to struggle was to order uber/ taxi next day ,as he had to wait for around an hour for a taxi just for the drive of 4 -5 minutes. Hotel should provide pick and drop service for the nearby facilities.

2022-02-22The room looked very nice, but the AC didnt work properly and kept us from getting sleep. I was surprised to find two TP rolls less than half full with no backup rolls. The beds are on the harder side, so not great if you need something softer. FYI no hair dryer in the bathroom. Not impressed for the cost. UPDATE: The motel contacted me to say that I should have let them know when I was there. As far as Im concerned, the rooms should be checked properly and guests should not have to call to complain about what is missing and what doesnt work. Most people dont. Thats bad business. Your fault not mine. One less star for blaming the customer instead of making good.

2021-10-27Positive: Clean and quiet. Staff was friendly. Beds comfortable and pillows- some soft, some firm No frills but more expensive hotels in the area score lower in customer rating Negative: Breakfast was just OK. They did have hot offering. Would have been nice to have real glasses and cups to drink out of. Maybe it was covid regulations, but everything was disposable plastic and styrofoam

2021-10-23The people that run the front desk are amazing, They are always super friendly and helpful. They have amazing housekeepers that do a great job cleaning. They offer breakfast every morning and they have on site laundry for guest. Only downside is there is a lot of guest so using the laundry can be challenging

2021-09-02We only stayed briefly for one night, but it was great! The service at the front desk was wonderful when we arrived, even though it was nearly midnight. Very informative and friendly! The room was incredibly clean! We were missing soap and shampoo in our room, which we didnt bring for just an overnight trip. But the front desk was happy to provide us what we needed. Close to Darien Lake after a late concert!
