I had an electrical outlet placed for a new air conditioner. Red star evaluated my electrical wiring and was able to place the dedicated line without any problems.I was happy with the work, cleanliness and pleasant demeanor of the workers.
Second time working with RedStar and it was yet another great experience! This time, we had GFI outlets installed outside our home for our pool robot and also had our pool breaker replaced. Getting and scheduling an appointment with Linda was very quick and easy. Special thanks to Murad for scoping out the job and explaining why our old breaker had to be changed - for the safety of everyone. Also, thanks to Willie and Alex who we’ve worked with in the past, and the new guy we didn’t quite catch the name of. They all got the job done in one day and on time without rushing anything. I contacted a few electrician to have my new car charger installed and Red Star Electric replied immediately. We scheduled an appointment to receive a quote. The person arrived on time and was very professional. He gave us a few suggestions and provided a reasonable quote for the work to be done.We agreed on the price and scheduled for the install on the following morning. The crew did an excellent job in installing a new supply line from the panel to the garage and went out of their way to make sure everything was done to our uttermost satisfaction.I highly recommend this company and will definitively use again!
This was my second service call with Red Star. I highly recommend this company. A prompt return call and quick response time. The estimate for work was quickly identified and no additional work was done until authorized first by me then after confirming with RS that he could continue. Apparently he had other calls scheduled and needed to make sure they were covered. Murad wasted no time working to find the best solution, giving care to the financial aspect. He did not waste time, masked face and feet showing signs of respect. The job was completed same day and did not leave the site until homeowner approved. Recently purchased a property and two breakers were fried. The electrician Murad diagnosed it, was able to explain what happened--possible causes and how to prevent in the future. The issue was fixed the same day! The scheduler, Linda, was really nice when I called and got me an appointment very quickly. Everyone was friendly, I would recommend!!
My wife and I were extremely impressed with Steve and his team at Red Star. They were efficient, clean, polite and exceeded our expectations. After our previous eletrician had cancelled on us at the last minute, Steve, without hesitation, met us at our new home on a Sunday morning and accomodated our schedule starting the job exactly when we needed him. I recently bought a 50 year old house and hired Red Star to install a new circuit and wiring for a treadmill, do some minor repairs around the house, and do a major repair on our incoming underground main cable which was in danger of snapping due to soil movement.The technician showed up on time for the estimate and the work. The crew was very considerate and polite, ensuring I was brought along with any changes that may deviate from what was discussed. The work was done well and the cost was reasonable. Id definitely hire them again for any electrical work in the house.

I was installing new lighting fixtures in my 1929 building, and ran into problems while doing it. Murad from Red Star came and was able to spot and fix the problem, and was able to install all three fixtures quickly. He was professional and did good work. Excellent service. We used them for our condo in Tarrytown. Fantastic customer service through Jasmin. Murad and the other gentleman - who are the electricians - were really great. They installed the before exit signs, did all the electrical work - all excellent quality and very professional - very good pricing of services. I would absolutely recommend Red Star Electric Corp.
Red Star came recommended by my neighbor, and Im glad I called! I had to upgrade my outside service feed, replace the meter and service panel, plus some additional boiler hookup repairs and the installation of a couple new GFI outlets. The crew foreman that day was Murad, total pro and easy to work with; his 2nd I believe was Alex, who wired the new service panel like it was a piece of art. Will (maybe also 2nd?) was super detail-oriented and fast with the boiler repair and new outlets; the other couple of guys also just put their heads down and got it done. Total pros every one of them. Great camaraderie and supportive of each other (Hey, heading out to the truck, need anything?). Heres the final bit: these guys cleaned as they worked. Old wire just got cut out, it went right into a trash bin. End of the day, the brooms came out and got every bit of random mess throughout the basement. These guys had such pride and care it really made my day to see that people still give a dang about their work. Thanks, Red Star!
Great experience overall. Romeo and Murad arrived on time and were very professional. They were honest and up-front with pricing. They fixed a problem that caused me to lose power to two bedrooms after me and another friend (who works for an electrician) spent hours trying to find the issue. They also identified other underlying issues in my panel which contributed to the fault and will lead to bigger problems if I do not remedy soon. Glad I found them and trusted the good reviews.
Steven fixed the wires in my garage so that the door would open and close again when I hit the button on the inside. The door was never able to close when I entered the code on the outside and now it does so, bonus, he fixed that too. All for a very low price. Also he was on time to the exact minute, quick, and very pleasant. If I have any more electrical issues, I will go right back to Red Star.
I would recommend Red Star Electric and use them for any future needs. Red Star Electric was responsive, professional, and provided quality work. I had new GFCI outlets installed, updated pull lights to switch lighting and had new fixtures installed. The Red Star Electric team provided a detailed quote and explained the work to be done. The team that arrived was professional and wore masks and shoe coverings during the duration they were in our home. We are very happy with the outcome and would certainly recommend Red Star Electric.

I was having a problem with one of the circuits in my house. Of course it was one of the most important ones as well. It was late on a Sunday so I waited till the morning to start calling around. Red Star called me back almost immediately and took down my information. The woman who called me was delightful. She emphasized with me about my problem, took it very seriously and helped to set up my appointment. I was advised of all charges and there were no surprises. The electrician who came to my home was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and explained everything to me about what he was doing and what it would cost. Everything was up front and in black and white. He executed his service quickly and professionally. Not only that he was so nice to talk to. This guy is a gem and I’d hire him in a NY minute. I was so nervous having never heard of this company but the positive reviews online made me a bit more comfortable. I was not disappointed. This company has it right. Great customer service, quick, prompt service and friendly people all around. I highly recommend this company and when I upgrade my service and my electrical panel I know who to call. I didn’t end up working with these guys and feel like they were trying to pull one over on me.Asked for a quote to get a Tesla charger installed (I already had the charger in hand) and they quoted me $1600. I had two other quotes that came in at $850 and $950 respectively.However the agent they sent also told me my electric panel had rust in it and that I should consider spending $4,000 replacing everything from the electric mast down including the panel and breakers. The other two companies laughed when I showed them this and said there was absolutely no reason to do that, there was no rust, my panel was cleaner than some new houses. This really disappointed me…I’m sure they do great work, the reviews are largely positive. But my advice, get 3 quotes before you choose them or any other company…
Very satisfied with service overall. Great prices, professional and very prompt. Porch light wasnt working anymore so they installed a new fixture as well as set it up perfectly. Also had my heat sensors damaged in hallway and had it replaced. Love the electrician as well. I most certainly would recommend this company to all.
Red Star did a great job replacing four smoke/CO alarms in my house. The dispatcher I spoke to got us a prompt appointment and the electrician was right on time and did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend to others.
I called electricians while Hurricane Esias was still blowing, and Red Star had a professional booker answer the phone and make an appointment with me for as soon as possible. An electrician came the next day to assess the work, our electricity was still out. We agreed on the job and they ordered me the new meter box and installed it first thing when it arrived 2 days later. They took care of the electrical certification and helped me get my electricity back on the day they installed the box. This was while power was still out in many places nearby.I am very happy with Red Star. The name is easy to remember, and the boss, Steve, called me and I had his cell phone number, which as a small business owner, means a lot to me, to know the boss cares!
Steve and his guys are terrific and the receptionist as well. When I called their response was immediate and showed up exactly when they said they would. I received text messages telling me they were on the way. When they showed up they knew exactly what needed to be done and they were very professional and friendly. The technician was great about explaining what he was doing and why, which is greatly appreciated for those of us without electrical know-how. Didnt use the service, but I am shopping around for quotes to have power run to my garage, new panel installed, lighting, and several outlets. By no means is it a small job. Apparently they charge $59 just to show up and give you a quote. Cant really support a business like that.

2022-08-12We originally reached out to this company because of the reviews we read online and we were not disappointed. We needed an outdoor outlet installed in our very old home. The company came to the house on a service call. There was a fee for the service call but that included electrical assessment and a proposal for the job to be completed. The proposal included the price of the outdoor outlet installation as well as some other additinal recommended services. We then called the company and made an appointment for the installation of the outdoor outlet. The day of the appointment the technician was on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. We thought the price was reasonable enough given our current economy and the price of materials/labor. The job was completed quickly and to our satisfaction. Will definitely use again for the recommended services they suggested and will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

2022-02-15Red Star Electric was a pleasure to work with. When I originally installed my Nest thermostat, I bypassed the c wire which worked fine for a while but eventually began giving me issues. The guys from Red Star were familiar with the issue and promptly installed the C wire for me in under an hour. They were on time, professional and walked me through every step of the process. A week later I received a follow up call to make sure I was happy with the work they did. If you need an electrician in the White Plains area, Red Star should be your go to!

2022-06-28I am so happy with the work done today at my house. Our basement looks completely different with the recessed lighting installed and the air circulation on my second floor is much better after they installed a ceiling fan. The crew was fast, personable, very informative and helpful. Would recommend to anyone.

2022-02-08Red Star was fantastic. I called with an electrical emergency at 9:30am, a technician was at my house by 10:50am, and the problem was resolved by 12:00pm. The front office staff was very responsive and the technician was terrific in addressing and explaining the situation. I strongly recommend Red Star and would definitely use them again.

2022-08-23Red Star is my go-to for everything electrical in and outside my house. The team is professional, licensed, on-time, trust-worthy. I have used them for the last 2 years from a light panel correction to removing electrical wiring outside (both previously done incorrectly by a previous electrician). Most recently they completed an upgrade to our electrical system after completing a full inspection of our home. The old system was not safe, and very old, and I was happy to have a team that I knew can get this done for us. I highly recommend and will use Red Star for all future electrical service. I saved their number and when my son said he smelled plastic burning in the house, Red Star was the first to come to mind. L was attentive to my concerns and was able to rally a technician on short notice. Then M showed up and did an awesome job. My son and I immediately were at ease because we knew the job was done right. M was respectful, knowledgeable and courteous. 2022-06-20We are first-time home buyers and have our eye on a house built in 1897. Our home inspector thought we might have some aluminum wiring and advised us to have an electrician check it. Murad and Ben were right on time and took the house through a checklist, patiently answering all our questions and allowing us to tag along and learn what we could. They found a few things for the buyer to fix, and they never pressured us to fix anything, instead giving us a recommendation along with a quote to upgrade our panel once we move in. They were pleasant and thorough and we would absolutely recommend them.
