Everything was absolutely delicious! Prices were very reasonable as well. We got pulled pork with fried okra, the Redman burger with sweet potato fries, and a side of mac and cheese with two drinks for under $30. Their sandwiches come with a side and are only $9.50 and their pulled pork sandwich was to DIE for! We gave our order up front to a man who I assumed was the owner and his wife, they were both super nice and polite! We found a nice seat outside, and they brought our food and drinks out to us, and when we were done we paid up front. Well definitely be going back!

Fried chicken was OK, a little dry. BUT, the ribs were some of the best Ive had. The staff was extremely pleasant and they have really tasty side dishes.
Excellent chicken and collard greens as well as onion rings and macaroni and cheese. Portions of chicken were huge and the best weve tasted. Great people and genuinely homemade food. We will be back the next time we come to visit the Finger Lakes.
I called to place an order for noon, it was hot and ready on time, everything was correct the way I asked. Perfect Fried Chicken, perfectly cooked and crispy. I could see the salt and seasonings all over the chicken and it holds up to its reputation. Do yourself a favor and get a big order of chicken, sweet potato fries were crispy and the greens were great. Its no surprise they just had their 11th anniversary.See you again soon.
This is my favorite restaurant ! The food is Smack Your Momma good! The food portions are huge. l can never eat my whole dinner at one time. The service is warm and friendly. Make sure to try the Banana Pudding. Go there once and you will go back. ❤❤❤
Coming from the south, we have had trouble finding good BBQ in CNY but we finally found it!! I had the rib dinner and my husband had the pulled pork dinner and both were AMAZING!!! The meat was seasoned and was delicious without the BBQ sauce but add the sauce and it was a party in your mouth! We also had the banana pudding made with real bananas for dessert. We cant wait to go back for the fried chicken. Give this place a try and wont leave hungry or disappointed.

Finally went for the first time. What a great place. Very clean and comfortable and they were playing all the old R&B tunes from the 70s and 80s on this huge speaker and it was so fun to sit there and sing to all my old favorite songs with my honey. I wanted stick to your ribs down home food. They did not disapoint. I had a piece of fried chicken and a rib with macaroni and cheese. The mac and cheese was as close to being as good as mine as anyone has ever come. They are very friendly and cant do enough to make sure you love your food. We will be going back for sure.
Excellent fried chicken (it takes 20 minutes so we call ahead so its ready when we get there), ribs are good, and super friendly staff. The sides are great (fried okra is sooooo good and my picky kid loves the mac and cheese) and the corn muffins are the best! Not sure why you are still reading this and not making plans to go there!!!
My kids all worked at the corn stand in front of Redmans. Everytime they worked everyone at Redmans were very nice to them. My son today said that he wanted to try it because he smelled it all day and it smelled great. So we did and the pulled pork sandwiches were delicious and the service was great. Thank you.
We had 3 piece fried chicken with one side and corn bread. The chicken was moist and deliciously crunchy. Staff great. Will definitely find our way back.

Ribs fall off the bone and are SO GOOD. For a local place, one of the best Ive had. 10/10 would get ribs again. Only thing I wish for was a little less butter in the mac and cheese
To say that it is worth the drive from Rochester and the 20 minutes for the cooked-to-order fried chicken dinners is a vast understatement. I havent tasted fried chicken this good since I lived down south. The collards are the best Ive had, amazing mac salad, awesome sweet potato fries...and thats just the food! Service is warm, friendly and inviting. No question - well be coming back. Again and again.
The food is awesome. I got the fried chicken and it was delicious! Husband got ribs and fried chicken, he was kind enough to share a bite of ribs...I loved the sauce on the ribs! Very friendly service and a quaint setting. Really enjoyed our dinner and we plan to visit again!
Wow. I was blown away. Do you remember when you where a kid and you would go to your friends house and both there parents were cooking in the kitchen while you where running around with your childhood friend. Well welcome to Redmans Chicken n Ribs. It took me back to when I was a kid, while satisfying my taste buds. The food is served in generous amounts, the prices are crazy reasonable compared to other BBQ Restaurants that charge $20.00 for a single piece of this or a Pulled Pork Sand-watch. You get two sides and a main meal for $13.00 bucks. Cant beat it. I totally recommend stop on down! Dont be like myself and wait 10 years to go. You will not regret it. If you havent eaten at Redmans yet you are wasting your life. Dont walk, run! Its a small and unassuming place that would be easy to drive by, but the inside is warm and inviting with lots of personal touches. We were told up front that the fried chicken would take 20 minutes as it is made to order. Glad we waited because it was the best fried chicken weve ever had. The pulled pork was equally appetizing. Both were seasoned perfectly. For sides we had sweet potato fries and mac & cheese as well as a corn muffin. The fries may have been frozen, but Im guessing everything else was made in house. Cant wait until we are in town next!
The fried chicken was delicious, some of the best Ive had. Sides of mac and cheese and fried green tomatoes were equally as good. They went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with everything. Chicken is made to order so it takes some time, but its well worth the wait. Definitely recommend.
Awesome. We decided to wait for the fried chicken. Well worth the twenty minutes. Madi got the chicken also, never seen her so excited to eat. Mac & cheese side stringy and cheesy. Collards had the perfect amount of heat. Pulled pork on rice with gravy was totally different and very tasty. Staff and owner attentive and personable. We will be headed back.
We love redmans. But were really disappointed this time. The greens just werent up to their usual standard. And the cornbread was really over baked.
Absolutely awesome venue. Exceptionally clean dining area... unique and interesting decor... friendly, attentive staff. But the star draw is the food. This is authentic southern cooking! They have gained repeat customers with my dad and myself. Enjoyed the fact that one of the owners took the time to sit and talk with us
Food was plentiful and very good. The Service was excellent! We split a Combo Meal: Chicken, Ribs and 2 sides -- Mac nCheese, and Sweet Potato Fries. Everything was fresh. The fries were hot and crispy! The chicken was nicely cooked thru and also crispy. We were told the chicken is cooked at time of order so it was a 20 minute wait for the meal,but well worth it! We would stop here again
We drove about a half hour to get here. It was ok! The old saying: “Nothing to write home about”! My husband loved the chicken. I had the pulled pork but tasted no smoke. Not sure it is smoked at all. We won’t go back.
My sister and I have driven past this place countless times, and finally stopped in for the first time this evening. I ordered the chicken dinner, and even though you usually have to order chicken ahead of time, Redman, Kelly, and crew made it anyway. We waited for about 15-20 minutes, and it was definitely worth it! The chicken and the collard greens were the best Ive ever had, and the sweet potato fries were perfect. My sister felt similarly about her meal, and we will definitely be back for more. Its too bad this place isnt more well known, best soul food in the area in my opinion!!!!

Menu is confusing. Prices are higher and food wasnt as good as 2017.Fried chicken and ribs were good... pulled pork was bland and dry... and mac n cheese was bland.Ordered Banana Pudding, got some weird concoction with cookies and cream but was told (by the owners) I made it differently but we didnt charge you. Wth? How about I get what I ordered.Doubtful that I will be back.
Service was unreal! We pulled up when they were leaving... they opened up the restaurant and treated us like royalty! Fried chicken was amazing! Sides were dynamite! And banana pudding was OFF THE CHAIN!
The best pulled pork sandwich and platter I have ever had!! The pulled pork is slow-cooked over night seasoned and sealed to keep the juices in. Its meaty its juicy and seasoned to the T! If u havent had it yet try it. U will not be sorry :)

I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was amazing!! The mac salad was also delicious. My boyfriend has the fried chicken and said it was the best he has ever had. We are definitely coming back :)
Awesome fried chicken. Gives KFC and popeyes a run for there money. If you call in advance they will fry your chicken before you get there. It does take 20 min to cook but is well worth the wait.
I read the reviews and thought no way could this place is as good as everyone says, well Geneva has a gem on their hands. I travel all the time, this place is fantastic. I saw a post about a 15-20 minute wait. The wait is because of the way they cook their fried chicken, best fried chicken I have ever had. I saw the horrible post, I think that poster got this place confused with burger king. If you are traveling to the Geneva New York area I highly recommend this establishment.

Good Ribs! tender, juicy...but the Fried Chicken...ON POINT!! VERY GOOD!(Quick story) I was in Geneva at Cruisin Nights Red Man had a vendor booth set up, I had just gotten outta work, went down to walk around with the family...I was starving! so heading over to where the food lot was I noticed people were starting to break down, I saw Reds spot and ran over... they had just pulled up some fresh fried chicken, and you know how we do... I said Oooo lemme get some Dat!! only to realize I didnt have cash on me!! ahhhh! and they didnt except cards down there at the booth (in store yes) the lady down there sees my face... (the Lord gave me favor) she says Hunny whatchu want...chicken? I say yeah...but... she tells me dont worry about it, take this plate! Wow! FAVOR! Thank ya Jesus! and to Red Mans THAT HIT THE SPOT!!! WHOOOO! Thank you kindly!

I moved from Texas to PA and vacationed in Watkins Glen. Stopped by and had some of the best food anywhere in NY or PA. You love the food and the people.
We were taken there by our son and his fiance and had dinners on their reccomendations and we were not disappointed. Would eat there again without hesitation.

Food was nothing special and I would probably go back if it was not for the alarming level of flies everywhere several other patrons got up and left because there is not a single spot to sit without swarms of flies, tables not wiped down food on the floor so if youre one of those people who get paranoid about the cleanliness of your food prep and eating area I would not recommend this place

2022-06-23Redmans is a small restaurant in Geneva offering a surprisingly wide variety of menu choices. Food is beautifully prepared by the friendly staff. I noticed that Redmans does a brisk takeout business. I was part of a group of 6 and we enjoyed our meal in the restaurant.If you are in Geneva, give Redmans a try. You wont be disappointed.

2022-06-06Food is great - no question. Unfortunately, this visit was possibly the last... Ordered food and sat down to wait to eat. Two other tables showed up in between - and were served their more complex orders to larger crowds. While waiting, asked if we could change our order from a half to full rack of ribs - told no problem, they were just starting on the order. Meanwhile, an hour later, and three queries later, we still did not have our food (2 sandwiches and the rack of ribs). Finally received our food and went to settle up the difference between the full and half rack and were told that we had to pay the full price for a second half rack because we had paid for the initial order already - a $10 difference in price.A little better communication and organization in the kitchen would go a long way and make me want to come back - the food is seriously good. Its a shame to find such issues with what would be a good, family run option for food otherwise. I want to support the small independents, but dont make me wait forever and then charge me extra...

2022-07-07Let me preface - I dont like barbecue sauce. I left Redmans with an extra container of sauce. This is the BEST sauce EVER! Ribs, chicken, greens, pulled pork, cornbread, fried okra, sweet potato fries were our favorite.Actually the people were are favorite! So nice!Go to Redmans in Geneva. You wont be sorry.No pics of the food because we consumed it too fast.

2022-07-09We waited an hour for our dinner. There is only one other family here and they dont have their food yet. We are just about done and we still dont have all our sides. Really wanted to like this place, but if this is normal, Id skip it.
