My Boss was told to get a side-by-side refrigerator by his wife. It would be a secondary fridge parked in his garage. He contracted for a used GE, but upon arrival, Amada offered him a new Frigidare without ice cubing capability. This was perfect for his needs and for $40.00 more, he bought a brand new refrigerator! Great job by Amada and the crew!!!
Had good in store experience. Delivery was good. But I felt deceived. We had purchased a LG refrigerator they had it in stock at the warehouse. They delivered it yesterday. Delivery was good with no problems. Everything is fine until I pulled out the bottom freezer door to see if ice was made. No ice, was reading the manual said to turn the switch to the ice machine on. I looked in and guess what no ice maker. So first thing I did was to verify if this model did come with it so I called LG gave them the model number and confirmed yes. My wife called them and they said we didnt purchase the one with the ice maker. But mean while we went over it with them before we purchased it. Its a shame. And on top of it we purchased a used 1 for temporary use as well which we are keeping .
Terrible …. machine broke after 3 weeks of use. Tried to return it and spend another $1,500 on a new washing machine. Ended up charging me 25% restocking fee on the broken machine they sold me. Manager extremely rude refused to work with me even though I’m spending double on the new machine. STAY AWAY from these people your better off at home depot or Lowe’s at least they know how to talk to people.
I have had communication with Teds for 2 weeks and it was hard to get answers. Finally all details are worked out and the day had come for them to show up. Only to find out that verified my schedule time was good with them. But that was 1 hour after they was suppose to be here. When I reached out to them , when are they planning on coming over, they replied they don’t have me on the books for the day.Also in our conversation they was to fix my dishwasher, they followed up by saying they dont make service call on them.At this point I was upset and told them I was going to leave them a bad review, so 2 hours later they sent me a link to give them a review.This is no place to take your business too, only thing they want is a pat on their backs. Without doing the work.I would stay clear of this business, reading some of there reviews others had the same similar problems.
Staff was helpful. Got a good deal on 4 items.UPDATE: After a problem with one of the appliances we bought and returned, had to sue to get a refund. I dont care if they say there are no refunds. You cant expect me to be out of what I bought AND be out of what I paid! Thats unreasonable!
Do yourself a favor and belive all the reviews that tell you to BEWARE! The staff can really fool you as they are super nice to you just to make a sale. Its nothing but deceiving. Right after your credit card gets charged the ordeal begins.I purchased 3 BRAND NEW (according to them) appliances exactly 1 year ago. The stove didnt even get to be plugged in by the plumber as it was diagnosed with gas leak. When I came by to the store to complain, Mr. Joe, the owner of this wonderful establishment was nothing but rude to me and told me I should have had the plumber present at delivery and have the driver wait until I confirmed the appliance worked before I accepted it. Trying to get it fixed through warranty took months and cost several pto days. In the end I was forced to buy another stove at best buy that has 5 year warranty, works till this day and cost only a $100 more.I let that go as a one time incident but this month my fridge broke. Waited weeks for service person to appear just to find out that this fridge must not be brand new as it was previously registered as purchased a few months prior it being sold to me. So the service was not performed.Reaching Mr. Joe almost impossible. He uses the ladies working there as his gatekeepers so he doesnt have to speak to unhappy customers. When you finally get him on the phone you will hear no apologies. He will tell you its your fault and hang up on you midsentence. This only proves to me that he knows exactly what he is doing. His only goal is to trick you into spending money at his store by telling you a bunch of lies. After you do that his favorite word becomes goodbye.If you have a tone of free time to sit on calls and then at home waiting on service appointments to try and fix your BRAND NEW appliance that you spent a lot of money on, then by all means go ahead and stuff your money into Mr. Joes pockets. He is going to make sure you enter an adventure of your lifetime. Too bad he fails to mention its going to be an adventure straight from a horror movie.
I have gone to Reds Appliance for years. My sons and I have found and purchased several used appliances within our budget. They also sell new appliances as well. There is a 90 day warranty on used appliances and more extended warranty on the new. So far its been so good with this store.
I wish I read other people reviews before walking into this place.I bought a fridge that broke a week later. HAD TO BRING IT BACK MYSELF . But they would not give me a refund. They gave me a credit towards a diffident fridge that cost more. I SHOULD PAY MORE AND GET ANOTHER FRIDGE WHICH MAY BE JUNK. if its broken I would have to bring it back. WISH WISH WISH I never walked into this place. store policy love it!! our store policy is to Sell a broken fridge and have the costumer hooked on. The only Difference between this place and a thief - they have policy and a thief doesnt.
Do not, and i repeat DO NOT buy a used appliance from them! I bought a used GE fridge from them, i paid $749 for it. It came with a 3 month warranty. Within the 3 months, it stopped working. They came and fixed it. Soon thereafter the same problem resurfaced, and I had to pay out of pocket to get it fixed again. Clearly they sold me a garbage fridge and their repair work is garbage aswell. I wish I wouldve forked over the rest of the money and bought a new one instead. Avoid this place at all cost!
Went in looking for a fridge. Although we didnt end up finding the exact fridge we wanted, the staff were extremely nice and helpful. Very willing to work within our budget. Lots of selection. Well definitely go back in a couple weeks to see what new stock they have. Gotta love discount pricing.
I cannot remember the last time I received service like this!!!! TO SAY THE STAFF is knowledgeable is an understatement!!!!! Friendly, caring and understanding of a customers needs doesnt even begin to describe these folks. The owner should be proud to have a staff like this!!!
They don’t know what they are doing.Called them to ask about a specific dishwasher. They didn’t have it. I asked if they had other 18” models available and lady said they did in the warehouse.I left work early and drove 45 minutes just to be told they didn’t have any 18” in stock and couldn’t even order them for me. When I mentioned that, instead of apologizing, the lady gave me attitude about it.Rude, unprofessional, and not informed of their own operation.
BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! Bought a full size Frigidaire refrigerator July 24 that came with a 90 day money back guarantee that expired on October 24. That weekend was both my kids birthday and notice that there was water inside the fridge compartment on the shelf. I called them and they said they would still honor the guarantee if I was able to bring it in that week. Well let me just tell you that this is a full size fridge and not a toaster. How am I going to pick it up and transport it there for them to fix it?! And due to Covid, they will not send anyone out to take a look at it. After speaking with the supervisor, she had their repair guy troubleshoot it like an elementary student. Is it level? Is the setting too low? Is the door properly closed? Honestly all good questions but basic stuff. It is properly leveled and at a proper setting (factory recommended) with a thermometer monitoring it and the door is properly closed and sealed. After another week, the supervisor says she can send someone out to repair the fridge but it would be $90 service fee plus parts and labor. I asked if they would waive the fee and only charge parts and labor. She said she would have to ask and get back to me later that day or following day. Well no surprise, I did not get a call back. I called almost everyday since and left message after message. Still no call back. Would have been better buying from a stranger off of Craigslist. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Prices & the warranties they offer on their used appliances are sub par. Theyre not forthcoming about how if you buy a used appliance and it malfunctions, YOU have to bring it back to them. Can you imagine lugging a refrigerator or washing machine back to them for repair, as opposed to them doing service at your home? Ridiculous. It is a major turn off so I went to Willies in Hauppauge.
I am writing a review based on my phone experience. I am probably going to buy the gas range they have that is like what I am looking for. This is because of the outstanding customer service provided by Amanda, when i called. Amanda is very helpful and knowledgeable. Promptly sent me pictures of the unit, and has offered to hold it for the day until I can drive there. I will post another review if/when I purchase.90 day update - I bought that oven. Still going strong. Go to Reds. Theyll take care of you.
The owner Joe is one of the greatest business owners I have ever come across. Went here looking for an appliance package and was able to save over 1500 dollars off retail . Delivery was perfect the guys wore masks gloves and had hand sanitizer available . We will be coming here for all of our future appliance needs Thanks Reds appliance you guys are awesome !
Amazing service! I was so confused on brands and had been contemplating on 3 different brand new refrigerators between two stores . .It really came down to price for me This was a surprise Xmas gift for my Grandma in Astoria so I wanted a good deal :) . Joe, the owner took his time to explain in detail which brand was best! Thank you! She loves it!
Do not buy from this placeWe purchased a fridge 7 days later it stopped working we had to load it and take it back they told us they couldnt repair it and gave us another fridge 1 month later guess what?!!!! That fridge stopped working2 fridges in a period of 2 months this is ridiculous. Also! Be ready for your used appliances to come with bugs!!! Save yourself the headache. Never again
Joe was super helpful at helping me pick the best fridge I wanted. He was very knowledgeable and personable as well. Great speed of service and more than willing to help out in any way that he can. Will totally be using this company for my next major appliance perchance.
I dont know how its possible some of these reviews written here are even about the same place, first off, I have bought appliances from Reds on 4 separate occasions all have been amazing.. However, The first time I was skeptical, however Amanda was quick to put my worries at ease. I scored a GE profile stainless stove that I had been shopping EVERYWHERE for and I got my $1200 dream stove for $450 at Reds. The showroom is no joke. They have all the same stuff the big named places did at more then half the cost. I understand its used, but thats the point, to use your appliances!! The unit was clean and has been working properly for months now. I highly suggest you check this place out if you need to replace an appliance at your house.
I recently ordered an open box refrigerator. I inspected it in the store. It was delivered with two dents. I discovered the dents when I got home that evening, took pictures and sent it to the sales rep the next morning. After lots of flip flopping phone conversations, the rep told me the deliverymen did not dent the fridge. I am now stuck with an 1,700 fridge with two dents. Very Poor customer service.
Bought a used gas stove as a secondary stove, it has an internal gas leak. I dont recommend buying used from them, i dont think they refurbish or properly test them. They also are not very stand up when it comes to customer service or standing by their claims of quality used appliances. Once they are out of their 90 day warranty they are out, no help.
Purchased a refrigerator. Lasted two weeks before it started making an awful noise. Returned it, they fixed it, working fine since. But the back and forth with a refrigerator was a pain in the butt. However, where else can you get a full sized refrigerator for less than $300?
So unless you just one something will last 90 days which is surprisingly there warranty dont buy from them spent over $550 on used stove fridge fridge for small tenant apartment . Guess what stove still kinda works fingers crossed but the fridge stopped working , I am not gonna carry this big bridge 20 miles to their store in my small 4 door car to get it repaired , just buy from a local place or new else where . They will basically sell stuff that people probably throughout or recycle
This place is the worst ... please DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FTOM HERE. I had to replace stove I bought and now less than 7 months later I a m out of my money.... They want me to bring it back and charge me for parts andl labor . My tenants had no stove or oven for rbse holidays.
Quite possibly the worst appliance store. After driving over an hour to get there, they were blunt and offered zero information about units other than price. After purchasing a unit, they sold all the hoses and plugs and cords separately trying to get every extra dollar they could. After carelessly loading it into our vehicle we drove all the way home and carried both the washer and dryer up four flights of stairs, plug them in just to find out that the washing unit leaks and doesnt register that the door is closed so it wont run a cycle at all. To have them fix it would mean taking it all the way back down the stairs and out to long island. Not worth your time. Never purchasing here again.
Misuse craigslist to sell their products. Use keyword spamming making their ads appear in virtually all categories meaning people see their ads even if they have no interest in shopping for appliances. Dishonest.No Red...not a competitor, just someone else bothered by your misuse and spamming on craiglist. I see you now post your spam loaded ads in the by owner section further disproving your claims of just a guy trying to make a living. You are dishonest in your ads, I am guessing that is part of your whole business
These people have poor advertising integrity. They continually post ads in the incorrect sections of Craigslist and flood the site with redundant ads that dont apply to those sections. They have been flagged, warned and continue to do it anyway. Not someone I would want to do business with,.
Horrible place, brought close to 6000 in appliances, send me a range with a lose oven door, didnt want to fix it, charging me to fix it , they are bad communicators, a fraud, please beware , still have a defective range.Hey Joe , when your delivery person deliver the appliances , they never unwrap the range, because there wasnt gas yet where the range was going to be, that why we never contacted you sooner, when the gas was put on, the range was unwrap we notice from one side the hinge was lose,YOU ARE A POOR EXCUSE OF A OWNER, PEOPLE PLEASE BEWARE OF HIM, HE IS A LIAR, AND A FRAUD.
