The snack bar poured drinks so high they spilled all over the floor and 4 employees just stood and watched us try to clean it up. The frozen and sticky mess plus butter all over the outside if the popcorn bag that leaked on my jeans and caused a permanent stain. Very disappointed in the staffs reaction to help with clean up the mess they made. What happened to pride in your job.
We are so happy to be able to go to the movies again. Staff is super friendly, very clean theater. We were expecting the larger reclining chairs, which is what we are used to at the last place we lived. Chairs are small, and tight together, the armrest doesnt raise up. Its nice to see a movie, but nothing special about this specific place, except the staff .
My friend and I were the only two in the theatre so that was convenient...no lines. Service was prompt and friendly. Volume was too loud. Bought two bottles of water because the A/C wasnt on...$11 for 2 16oz waters. At least the theatre is still in business... So cant complain!
Starts off with getting our tickets for the newest conjuring movie. Buying them was fine no issue there. We buy drinks popcorn snacks the whole 9 yards but when we get to the ticket bouncer he stops us and asks for our ID’s which two members of our party forgot. They turned us away which is asinine, how come I can buy rated r tickets just fine but they turn us away for no ID’s??? We were able to get refunds on the tickets but not for everything else we bought. Seems like a cheap way to scam people out of their time and money and ruin their local theater experience. The only saving grace was how quickly the lines moved. This is extremely aggravating and thank you for your time
Facilities are always clean and staff is always professional. Theater seats are nice but do not recline. Concessions is way over priced but makes you think what do I really need. The overall experience is a 5. One time I lost my keys and the staff helped me look for them for over a hour. Thanks! 👍🏻👍
Facilities are great! Wait time at the window during peak hours because there are only 2 attendants instead of the 4 or 5 that could and should be there is a bit under managed. It feels like the minimum is the best they have to offer! But, the popcorn is fresh and smells great!
Had a great time taking my two small daughters there today. The overall experience was great; just wish that it was a little more affordable. $55 and change admission for three adults and two kids, plus about $40 for concessions. Still, the movie times are convenient and the staff and cleanliness are top notch. We all had a great time.
The lines for concessions werent long but took forever. Probably because everyone was buying tickets there also. They now force you to pick a seat before you get in the theater. This was super annoying when the theater was almost and you want to change once you get inside. The seats are fairly comfy and do recline but only if you have something to push on which is why people were putting their feet all over the seats. Last I am not sure if they think everyone is deaf or what the deal is but it was so loud I actually put in ear plugs(I had them with me) and it was still loud. If I hadnt it probably would have ruined the experience for me. The movie was great though.
They play a pretty wide selection of movies. Seats are typical, if not just slightly wider than most. Though the bottom cushions felt a little short. Concessions were outrageously priced and lines moved slowly. Bathrooms were conveniently located and were moderately clean. Overall, nothing special stands out about this theater over any other. Many theaters today offer a greater variety of concessions, easier access to them, and more comfortable seating.
This is a great place to go for a movie if you were to ask me. The theater is large and there are lots of seats with good views. The chairs are pretty comfortable and everything is clean. The staff members are also very helpful and friendly. I really enjoy visiting here and I will definitely be back.
OKAY, so.... I dont usually write reviews, and I most certainly dont go to the movie theatres considering the bad experiences Ive had in the past. But, today was worth it though. I was a bit overwhelmed with the the chaos and the prices but the curly haired young woman up front helped me find one hell of a deal, and she was super super sweet which definitely helped put me at ease. The popcorn was fresh, soda was crisp, and the employees were polite, speedy and alll helped one another. And the movie was AMAZING! 10 out of 10 visit this time! Great job, Regal!!!
I have watched dozens of films here. I dont exactly love it, but it is a solid theater. They have varied movie times to accommodate some alternative schedules which is nice, but their concession stand prices are astronomical. Undoubtedly, if you eat there, you will spend more money on food than the film itself, and the ticket prices arent the great to begin with. However, it is a decent theater. There is ALWAYS about fifteen solid minutes of previews that start at the movie start time. Sometimes twenty, so be prepared for that as well, though that can be a plus or minus depending on who you are. Anyhow, overall it is a good theater, but it isnt very cost effective. If youre willing to pay the prices, you will have an enjoyable experience.
Good standard Regal Cinema, clean comfortable seating. Plenty of quality sound & sound effects to give you the feel of being there. Concessions are, as to be expected, ridiculously expensive. Price gauging at its finest! Typical corporate America trying to monopolize the situation instead of providing a healthy entertaining family value... the were an abundance of empty seats!! Much better value to invest in a quality large screen TV & sound components & enjoy your own snacks... comfort, safety & value entertainment at home. You can even invite people over.
This is the worst online experience I have ever had. I have been trying to reserve tickets for days. The website keeps kicking back my transaction and cancelling it. My card was declined and the fraud department contact me soon after. There is nothing wrong with my card, more than sufficient balance to pay for the tickets. But no completed orders...To top it off, I have tried to contact the company multiple times each day and the phone system tells me the system is down and cannot complete my call. There is no other way for me to get a hold of them, because they only list the corporate automated response system. I am very disappointed with this interaction.
Lost a star from me today. The new assigned seating is terrible. 1/3 of the good seats were unavailable when purchasing the tickets then no one came for those seats during the movie. Didnt want to poach the seats in case someone came in during the movie and then wed have to disturb the whole theater. Got it for an opening day showing of a prime show but this was a 1345 showing on a Thursday for a movie that had been out for awhile. Really left a bad taste on what used to be a non issue.
This is a decent, though pretty small, theater. While there are 12 actual theaters inside, several are small and lack the better sound systems of the larger theaters. A movie ticket is expensive, and I sort of expect a better experience than these smaller theaters provide. The last 2 times I have bought popcorn here it was bordering on stale, unacceptable for the money.
They closed the ticket windows so now if you dont buy tickets online you have to stand in the concession stand line, where they are understaffed and overworked. We stood in line 20 minutes to get our tickets. Good thing we got there early but early didnt help the patients of the children with us.
Ive never had anything other than a positive experience with this Regal location and Ive been coming for years. The staff is always nice, and the theaters and bathrooms are always tidy. I had a short phase where I was always getting IDd by one particular ticket taker whenever I would use the self serve kiosk - and I am 30 (LOL) - but I havent seen that person in a while. My husband thought it was hilarious. Other than that, always a great experience and I will continue visiting as long as Im in the area.
Best cinema in town! (But they are the only cinema in town, you say?). True, but they are still the best cinema in town! Ive never had a bad experience here. Family friendly, good crew working here, management always gives a rain check if we leave the movie early for any reason (my kids being disruptive, movie ran long, didnt like the movie etc....)
Would be 5 stars if it weren’t so flipping expensive marquee in New Hartford has had just as good of an experience for cheaper for years, 60 bucks just for tickets for my family to go! Sorry I’m watching it at home! It’s a nice theater though so if money don’t matter it’s fine.
Took my mother in law and she is handicapped. The security guard walked her to a seat while my husband and I were able to get the snacks and drinks. Helped out tremendously and she enjoyed the movie. It was a fun experience and she looks forward to going back. She has not been to the movies for many years. The last time was the theater in downtown Watertown, NY. Look forward to the next time.
Most of the time I have a good experience. The food is good and the people are friendly. Tonight there were disrespectful kids in the back at Theater 9. If there could be other people monitering and remove loud and disrespectful people from the theaters it would be appreciated.
Nothing spectacular.12 screen theatre;the only one in town. They play most new releases and even have special event screenings. The seats are still the older type not particularly uncomfortable but not as comfortable as they could be. Pricing is on par with bigger metropolitan area theatres so hopefully they will retrofit to have better seats in the future.
The sudden change to reserved seating is inconvenient. Lost out on seats because I preordered tickets. Still got yo see the movie but it was a pain to have that fixed. But why do we have reserved seating in a theater so small. I had an awful time getting my group to book seats together on the next movie we saw just to see others disregard their ticket and sit whereverTried to give this theater another shot and went and saw Jumanji 2. We had to get people out of our seats. What is the point of the assigned seating if people are just going to ignore it and try to cause confrontation when you try to follow the rules. I dont want to have to ask people to move out of my seat and I dont want an enjoyable night to be tainted because of rules that are not backed up
Never waste my money at a regal again. I usually go to my local theater in Lowville. They only have one movie at a time, and we wanted to see kids movie...and I never really thought about the financial side of it. Taking 4 kids and myself to a movie...a d getting candy as I wanted the trip to be special, I easily spent 100 dollars. Its outrageous. I can support a small business at my local theater and get snacks AND drinks at half the cost. If regal lowered their prices by like 30-50%, perhaps Id revisit. Never again will I darken their doorstep.
The theatres have been nicely redone, but it only goes as far as the seats. The building is too small, so the theatres are too small, resulting in really awful viewing angles in the seats below the walkway (top half of screens appear dark at those angles) and always having to crane your neck.We always sit in the first of the top rows because of this, but then you have to deal with the LEDs lighting the walkway and the bright green exit signs in your peripheral. I understand why theyre there, but they glare heavily on my glasses and the light strips shine up into your eyes. In addition, the overhead lights stay on during previews, and certain seats get the spotlight (like the middle of the first row in the top section...).I wouldnt mind these things alone, even with the addition of the overly high volumes (probably to cover the noise of other audience members, a reason we try to see movies around noon on weekdays). But the thing that gets me more and more are the awful aberrations in the screens (or the projector lenses). Ive seen white and/or dark spots in several theatres, and many have a burn spot in the middle that seems more reflective (more white) than the rest of the screen. We see a movie a week and I can often look past these things, but todays screening of Born in China was all but ruined by the thick, off-center magenta vignette that marred the picture throughout the film. See my pictures. This was in theatre 9, so at the very least, dont see a film in that one.$12/person is too much to charge for the viewing experience gotten here.
Would of had 5 stars if the staff wasn’t so rude and slow.Greg,Jacob, and Howie are one of the nicest ones there. Julie always fast cleaning and polite. Wes and Brian and Steve I am guessing managers are awesome always talk to my husband. Idk where couple the other employees I like are but I was told they were fired so that makes me sad. Tiffany always has a rude attitude and slow. Security seem too comfortable and doesn’t secure he always talking to the employees or just on his phone.
Its your only option for a traditional theater in watertown. There is a drive in but thats not everyones thing and it shuts down in the winter. The theater occasionally has broken seats and none have been upgraded to the recliners some theaters have. No alcohol is served. Overall they have a good selection of times for the newest movies out.
Medium to large sized theatre, modern and decently cleaned. Can support large crowds without over crowding during new openings or peak hours on a weekend. Placed directly next to a pub/reataurant. This gives you a chance to have a nice meal or drink from the bar before your film.
No real complaints here! Being the only major theatre in town must be rewarding for these people---but they dont seem to own that! Its usually pretty dirty in the Lobby, but its also almost always busy on weekends. Usual expensive ticket prices, but the experience of the movies is here. One thing that is lacking is a variety of times when multiple big movies come out. I am assuming this is because there arent that many auditoriums to choose in a mall unit.
Very clean and great seating and space, but prices, idk if it is me, are f$@#!&€ outrageous! Not only that but military discount basically means jack here. In Massachusetts and North Carolina, o got goooooood military discounts but here, you only get a dollar or two off. Its like a spit in local military personnels face.
Staff works extremely hard considering how busy and stressful the place is. They are always very polite, and seem to work together much more effectively and in a much better mood since a noticeably rude girl named “Shane” stopped working there. If you had a mediocre experience before, I would suggest visiting again, now that she is gone.
Since they upgraded the movie theater its a lot better than it used to be, But a person has no idea whats playing, unless they walk inside the mall and check the movies billboard. Most theaters through out the country have marquees on the outside the building with pictures and times. Which really makes it help full and attracts customers.
One of the few theaters in the area other than the handful of drive-thrus that are only open during the summer.Regal Cinemas is located in the Salmon Run mall right near the food court. A few years back they renovated the entire theater. There are at least 12 rooms capable of showing movies at any given time. The seating is theater style, with decent cushions that while not heavenly, do the job well enough.During the summer, you will probably save a lot of money going to one of the drive-thrus in the area,as well as get more bang for your buck. However if you just want to kick back relax and enjoy the show, its really easy to recommend Regal. For those who dislike crowded theaters and long lines, the best time to go would be a showing between 10:00am and 1:00pm on Saturday. The odds are that you will be the only one in the theater, and even if you arent, there will only be a handful of other people there.Overall, Regal Cinemas is an easy recommendation for your next big screen event.
I agree with the other ones about the price. Took my two boys; 4 and 6. It cost me over $50 for tickets, 1 large popcorn and a drink. Ill just wait till the spring and hit up the drive-ins. It only costs me $8 for all of us and if I decide not to bring my own drinks and snacks its still under $10 for drinks and popcorn. Theres one on black river and a-bay. I like both places but a-bay is my favorite.
My husband lost his CAR keys in the Theater an we were not allowed to go back in to look. Spent almost two hours at the mall but when we asked again the CAR keys were in their lost and found. The employees did not bother to check the lost and found until two hours later.. Next time anyone loses something and is told they cannot go back in until later I suggest you nag them to check the lost and found. Apparently car keys were not that important. I failed to mention that it was the manager that failed to check the lost and found for our car keys. So yeah just nag them.
I went to watch Aquaman. Would have been awesome to watch it on 3D, but I don’t think this theater is there yet. I hope they working toward that.I was able to get a list of what’s playing very easily by simply searching for ‘now playing near me’ on Google and all their selections came up accurately. Nothing special, but it’s as good as it gets on this side of NY, I guess. Of course, it’s overpriced...but I’m gonna assume it’s a NY thing. Other than that, the place seemed clean and decent.
I just spent 36 dollars on 4 matinee tickets for myself, wife, and 2 kids (7 and 4) and thats with a military discount. We went inside to buy popcorn and drinks. A large popcorn and 4 drinks came to another 35 dollars. This is absolutely ridiculous!!! I will NEVER step foot into another regal theater for as long as I live. Im thoroughly disappointed in you Regal! You should be ashamed of yourself! Also, while giving the guy our tickets they asked if we had any weapons. I was carrying a pocket knife, they told me I had to leave it at the counter and then they dug through my wifes purse. So when/if someone sneaks a weapon in I wont be able to defend myself or my family!
Clean but way to expensive you want to have a night with your family, expect to spend that kind of money doing it. When you can go to drive inns and spend a lot less in the spring and have more fun... With the amount of money you pay at a movie theater you can pay to have actual fun else where...
Bad ,wife and I went on Friday to see Warcraft. We got to stand in line to get drinks and missed over 40 mins of the movie. They had 1 person running the counter and as we waited the line just grew and grew behind us. We watched at least a half dozen familys came in ,looked at the long line and just went in ,no popcorn or treats sorry kids. In this same period of time people behind us left also. Finally a second person came to help behind the counter but you could tell they had little to no knowledge of the job. We rarely go out to the movies as we live over a hour away ,so this was a treat more or less .
The guy cut in line in front of me, i started arguing with him about that. The management called the police on me, then I got kicked out and the guy who created the situation went through. All of this has happened in front of the management team. Absolutely nothing has been done by the management to prevent the situation.
Rude. People working are slow and lazy. Darius was very rude to my family and over heard him talking about he wish was dead! I was leaving and I over heard the people working there about someone who worked there that I have seen before there and I honestly rather have that person they were talking bad about over someone who was rude and wants to be dead!
In all my cinema going adventures, i have never gone to one as amazing as this one, and its all thanks to the man called John. He even reccomended the snacks and gave me the calorie count, because i am trying to watch my weight. i only ordered 2 number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large diet coke, becuase again, I am trying watch my figure. Hehe xd
Was treated poor customer service after a power outage occurred. This happened when I went to see The Amazing Spiderman 2 back in 2014. I almost wanted a refund due to the poor service. I hope that if issues like this happen they better treat there customers better than this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ive only been to one other movie theater where luxury seating was available. A kiosk is available for buying tickets rather than waiting in a long line. After swiping my debit card, I noticed it was taking a long time to get the tickets and complete the transaction. This was the only downside of my whole movie going experience.

2022-04-09Clean but some cashiers need to be a bit more friendly. Our 1st one was great she was helpful and friendly. Went up for popcorn refill and the guy seemed miserable. There was 2 lines, 1 for card and 1 for cash. Lines were NOT clearly marked so if you got in a line and it was wrong than you didnt know until you got up to the register. They need to put bigger signs up like on a floor stand so people dont have to switch lines. Ticket checker was very friendly and cheerful. Assigned seating needs to go, people were sitting in our seats so we found others. I understand they make most of their money from the food but over 30 dollars for 2 large sodas and 2 large popcorns is a bit extreme especially since the popcorn was burnt. A bottle of water was 6 dollars and sweet tea too. For the most part a good experience but dont go unless you are prepared to spend a lot or not eat anything. Family of 4 - 14×4 tickets if they share 2 lg popcorn and 2 lg sodas thats 30+ candy is 5+ each times 4 = over 100 for 4 tickets, popcorn, drinks and a candy. If you do go, go on Tuesdays when its discounted.

2022-01-17Screens are a little dim in the auditorium but flavorful food kind staff. I wish they printed out tickets regularly for memories and security purposes. Not much of an arcade I played each and only 3 of them function properly and fairly coin exchange machine is perfect. Prices are high enough to want to sneak candy in haha, but selection is varied. Overall nice small time movie theater

2022-06-02The theaters are always clean. I appreciate being able to select a seat (even though sometimes I find someone else sitting in my chair). No biggie, I just scoot a couple seats down. I always try to go to a matinee, when its cheaper and less busy. Cant comment on the concessions, because I always only get a water. I dont go to the movies often, so it always feels like a treat when I go.

2022-01-23Regal is great, its just the line is much longer for tickets since we have to buy them at the concession stand now or pay extra to buy them online. It is a serious time water for people like me who choose not to eat concessions.Nothing like making people wait online smelling that popcorn to try and improve the chances of making an unhealthy concession purchase. It just seems kind of greedy to me.Maybe you can think about putting at least one person in the ticket booth out front? The employees who work there are always kind and courteous and the place is very clean..

2022-05-11Im a disabled Vet with a service dog. I couldnt believe they gave me a seat that had an open place for my dog to lay. I havent seen a movie in over 10 years and this was the best experience ever. The theater was clean, friendly staff. I highly recommend this theater.

2022-05-02Clean facility, up to date. Friendly staff, not over crowded. 2 adults 3 kids spent about 130 dollars between tickets, popcorn and drinks. Enjoy.

2022-03-08It had been a genuinely long time since seeing a movie in theaters.Hard to beat the comfort of home, couch and a variety of streaming services; this theatre was the exception. The staff appeared to be the young adults or teenagers of watertown ahd they were a delight. We saw two movies (Death on the Nile & Spiderman: No Way Home) back to back. The popcorn was good and the Pepsi crisp. What really made it the experience for me was the warm red tones of the theatre. I enjoyed strolling languidly through the hallways and looking at the art for upcoming films.Great way to while away an afternoon.

2022-06-12Seats were very comfortable. Staff was friendly. You pick your seats from a seating chart. Bathrooms were clean. Popcorn was fresh
