2018-04-22The best years of my life along with my years as a Marine Corps officer and pilot. At Regis I learned to think, to question, to challenge, to learn and to seek more knowledge. In the Corps I learned to lead, and to conquer fear. Together, the experiences have given me a fulfilling life through its ups and downs. May ours be the noble heart.

2013-03-21One of the best educational experiences I ever had - I proceeded to go to Duke, Phd at Rice University, MD, Residency at Washington Univ. St Louis, U. of M.-Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic, etc.Regis prepared me to learn. There are worse things one can get out of 4 years of HS.I never saw cheating, but I guess it goes on some everywhere (havent there been a few cheating scandals at the military academies?); but I doubt there was much; our teachers really paid attention to our work, they knew what we were capable of; it would have been difficult to suddenly ACE a Final after getting 65-75% on the rest of the grades and classwork. My wife went to a very highly ranked HS in the burbs of NJ; even she admits the education I got in HS was far beyond what her school offered; And unlike the view of the writer who panned the school and students, I wasnt a great studier; played basketball (until my grades werent good enough one semester- then I was off), and didnt graduate very high in my class ranking; but I was prepared for everything that followed. So, Id rank it pretty highly.

2017-06-03I spent four challenging years at Regis and developed learning and action methods that have served me eell. The faculty is caring and the atmosphere is collegial. It is a great school.

2015-09-30In January 1956 I was awarded a 72 in Latin and, because I had gotten under 75 in my previous semester, I was dropped from Regis. I never did any more than the absolute minimum necessary in all my subjects and Latin tripped me up. I deeply regret not having done more. Went on to Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, NJ and got a 90 average im my last year and a half, doing no more than at Regis. I never learned to study because I never needed to, from grammar school on. Got my BA from Maryland after a year and a half at Holy Cross and a M.Ed. from Boston University. Often wonder what my life would be like if I had learned to work and study hard. Everything came too easy without doing anything.
