This agency is a consumer fraud. When I arrived at the fifth floor office, this guy by the name of mr mario assisted me. the office is about 10 x 10 in size, really small and we briefly discussed my room rental requirements and then he demanded a two hundred dollar fee that I paid because of my need to find a place. mr mario then referred me an another office in uptown manhattan assuring me that it was his partner agency. when I got there it turns out it was just another room rental agency and they too wanted a broker’s fee. The police just happened to be there when I arrived at this partner agency and one of the officers told me to save my money and just scram because they were constantly there resolving complaints of fraudulent business activity. you best keep your distance from mr mario and his so-called room finder business.
I called to get information about the company and they act real nice promising that they can find you a place very quickly. so after the promotional rhetoric I asked Gabriel (the man working there) about where he planned on sending us and his rejoinder was a little bizarre, there is just no need to continue because youre too paranoid. and then he just hung up the phone which was impolite in the extreme. how offensive so I decided to put Gabriel on Blast. They have made me MAD, so Ill now share the details with the world at large.
Contacted gabriel whos an agent to get information he acted pleasant and promising they are not a scam. after the sales pitch i told him that some of the reviews indicate that he charges a fee in advance to help the housing hunter then he just refers them to another agency in uptown manhattan that charges another finders fee before housing is found. gabriel responded by stating theres no reason to remain on the phone with you asking these crazy questions. and he hung up the phone. Is that a tell or what? avoid at all costs.
If you are smart avoid this business - its a total SCAM room finder office, and all they do (his name is gabriel) is get a registration fee of $200 or more from you straight away (you pay it online), then he refers you to another room finder agent called american plaza located in uptown manhattan. When you go to the american plaza office (where they send you) they need another registration fee as well. of course you want the first registration fee you gave gabriel back cause he did nothing but send you to another agency but youll find out there are no refunds cause its just a new york city hustle number to be sure!
Gabriels new name is racket boy cause he be running a low level racket. when i arrived at his office gabriel or mr mario (either name he uses) took me into his office which is 10 x 10 in size very tiny. so he told me that the processing fee was two hundred dollars and then he would send me to his room manager. I got spoofed and decided to leave. I exited his tiny office spoke to building security and was told that the police are there all the time because hes running a business thats less than legitimate. according to building security gabriel collects an advance fee then he sends the hosed housing seeker to another agency uptown that charges another advance fee. now thats not very nice. Building security added that gabriel has a history of defrauding room seekers. so you might want to consider keeping your distance from this ah... business.
Gabriel is the owner of this train wreck. It’s basically an unlicensed apartment sharing agent operating in violation of the New York State Real Property law. gabriel charges the unwitting room seeker an advance fee of $250 in cash at his office (looks like a walk in closet) or he’ll get your money over the internet using an app where you can’t get your money back. Then gabriel sends the victim to another unlicensed apartment sharing agent called American Plaza at 3834 Broadway @ 160th Street, in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan. Steer clear of King Con, otherwise known as gabriel.
I registered with the rentaroominnyc.nyc website online by paying a two hundred dollar fee. was then told by gabriel they had all the rooms shown on the website webpage. gabriel told me that he guarantees you will find nice rooms. just enough to hook you to get you to pay the pay online. it was we do have lots of listings, we update them daily. So I made a payment and thats when the so called great service came to a grinding halt. gabriel refers room hunters to another real estate called American plaza. they just wanted more DINERO . I called gabriels phone number it was constant busy for three days straight.
Gabriel and his henchman who designed his website may impress a bunch of air heads that dont know what a bunch of bogus BS this company is, but its not going to fly for anyone who didnt just crawl out from under a rock. Gabriel charges a three hundred dollar advance fee then he just sends the housing seeker to his unsavory unlicensed partner agency known as american plaza where they demand an additional two hundred dollar advance fee. I called american plaza and asked them why they allow gabriel to hoodwink room seekers in this way, and they stated he makes a lot of money doing it, so it cant be all BAD, and they hung up the phone. Dont trust these peeps.
Mr mario is a conster who years ago was operating scam under name My New Roommate. mr mario collects advance fees from would be room seekers, then he sends the poor desperate souls to American Plaza and they have their hand out for more advance fee DINERO $$$$$. The state caught mr mario defrauding room seekers and he got hammered BIG TIME. basically it’s a scheme where he collects a fee from referring you to another agency that does all the work, however you have to pay again when you arrive at the other agency. steer clear of this agent!
I contacted the New York State, Department of State to see if this agency was licensed and the investigator told me that it’s operating without a license. they told me that the state has received a multitude of complaints against gabriel mario and American Plaza another partner agency has something something to do with a scam. the investigator couldn’t tell me everything because it’s an ongoing multi-agency investigation – apparently they really want to get this mr gabriel mario man. I guess American Plaza has got going on with mr gabriel. so it’s probably a good idea not to go there. I got lucky and he didn’t get my money.
Do not do business with him. he is just there to take your personal information, copies of your identification, and to get your money without doing anything to earn it. Do not give him anything. hes very slick and is out to get your money. this Gabriel is very dishonest. Another tenant in his building told me that the police are there all the time trying to resolve customer complaints or shut him down or what not. do not waster your time.
Everybody get with it the guy mr mario who runs this shell of a bizaroo is just there to get your money. there’s a con game in progress at this man’s office in Midtown Manhattan. This dude charges a two hundred dollar fee upfront before anything, then he gives you piece of paper with the address 3834 Broadway in the Heights. I went there to this other office, found out they need another $200.00 fee before anything. I called the coppers and the officers told me that American Plaza is under investigation by the state because they are operating without a license and are part of this massive scam. Dont go anywhere near these offenders.
It’s simply a worthless operation, do not even think about employing this agent to find you housing. Check this out, I gave a mr mario a fee of $200 online just to find out that he refers room seekers to another office called American Plaza in upper manhattan (in the heights) and that scammer wanted another early payment fee before they lift a finger. So i didn’t pay the extra fee and tried to contact mr mario and his phone greeting for days straight simply stated that his voice mail was full and couldn’t receive any messages. steer clear of this agent. I pronounce that, starting immediately, his new name is to be: bogusboy.
If you want to give away your hard earned money as an upfront fee of $200 just this bogus company can refer you to another bogus room agency that charges ANOTHER up-front fee of $300 then this is the place for you to go to - this low end office is the size of a walk in closet - thats where this guy gabriel runs this shell of a business out of - his specialty is getting ur money then he disappears. just stay at ur moms house for now!
Do not do business with this agent or American plaza. this man is there to just take your personal info such as copies of your identification. do not give him anything. Hes very slick as a matter of fact hes a full together hustler who never missed dinner time! basically hes a charlatan. another tenant on the same floor as this man at 34th street told me that the cops are always in and out of his office trying to shut him down. do no waste your time! I suggest that law enforcement execute sentence on these wackos.
This mr mario man charged me a fee of $300.00 at his office and then all he did was refer me to his partner agency called American Plaza on Broadway at 160th Street, and they wanted another advance fee too. I went back to mr mario’s office to get my money back, and there was a sign on his office door that read: gone fishing. so I called his phone number and when it went to voice mail, there was a message that indicated his voice mail was not set up to receive messages. this mr mario is a hotter than hot mess.
Mr mario ripped me off for $250.00 online, did nothing whatsoever but to send me and my girl friend to another unlicensed real estate in uptown manhattan who requires another fee. When I tried to contact mr mario for a return of the fee, I was told no refunds. when I went to his office to confront him about a refund, a neighbor told me that his room finding agency business is open if a new customer is coming to pay the fee, and closed if an existing customer shows up at his office to get a refund. mr mario has cameras outside his office and if he sees that it’s an existing customer that he’s already played, he ignores the doorbell. Don’t be a dumbbell, and Don’t get hustled. he’s just a sweet talker preying on would be room seekers. online I found out that mr mario is a very bad boy!
This room finder agency is a consumer fraud. Dont go near this weirdo cause they are a big phony room finding company. all they do is take from you an upfront deposit fee of two hundred dollars and once they gets your money all they do is send the sufferer to their unlicensed partner agency in uptown manhattan. the peeps at this uptown agency speak only spanish. what a colossal waste of time. Do not give these scammers your hard earned money.
Man named mr mario is in office (very small) by himself answering phones - they say you can see the rooms the same day – I paid the $250.00 advance fee in cash – mr mario showed me my way out the door and told me to go to the address 3834 broadway in uptown manhattan – when I got to the address I was given, it was another real estate office that requires another upfront fee. When I called mr mario back and asked for a refund, his response was, “we’re in business to make money so there are no refunds.” now that was cold! he made me cry he is not a nice man!
When I got to the fifth where this agency has a so-called office, it looked more like a closet that was converted to an office. this older mr mario man (in his fifties), asked me to pay him two hundred dollars and then he would send to another office that manages the rooms he handles which seemed like a come on. while there another ripped off customer arrived and told me that mr mario took an advance fee of three hundred dollars and sent them to another room finder agency in uptown manhattan by broadway and 160th street. then the COPS got there, and one of the COPS at his office held out his handcuffs and asked mr mario “do you me to put these on you?”, and mr mario responded “no”, and then mr mario handed the ripped off customer the three hundred dollars he received from them earlier that same day. I took images of mr mario and I’m having posters printed up so they can be distributed throughout the city!
Do not do business with this agency or american plaza. they are just there to take your personal info such as your identification and whatever else they can get. Do not give him anything. Hes very sweet and basically is a hustler. Another business that rents space on the same floor as this man at east 34th street said that the police are at his office from time to time trying to stop victims from getting their revenge. Do not waste your time. his name is mr mario who just gets an advance fee and then just sends the room searcher to american plaza another hustler from no-wheresville in uptown manhattan.
SLEAZY room referral agent no matter how DIRTY their reputation they just keep taking innocent peoples money! Calling this smooth talking defrauder a SCAMMER is putting it mildly, its more like a FRAUD DELUXE with cherries on top. Shame on Gabriel... unlicensed too! this website is an abysmal chaotic entity -- it serves nobody -- the whole concept is get everybodys advanced fee, send the victim to another unlicensed agency using smoke and mirrors, where they get another advanced fee. then call it an early day. empty promises and a load of BULL! just dont do it
Wow the man working there mr mario is very diligent at ripping off room seekers in New York City. All the bad reviews I saw online seem to ring true and are similar to the ones on file with the state department. the operator of this train wreck is simply taking an advance fee and all he does send the housing seeker to another agency that also requires an advance fee to send you to any rooms. Dont use this guy it would be a big mistake. if you’re a track star, start running.
The subject room agency purportedly helps people search for room rentals, however my search of the owners background who runs this website revealed that its nothing more than a consumer fraud (CASH COW) that just takes full advantage of New Yorkers in need of short term housing. This room finding agency demands an advance fee in the amount of two hundred dollars (or more) from desperate housing seekers, and does nothing more but send the victim to another room finding agency that demands another advance fee in the amount of two hundred dollars or more. Therefore, I will not be using this agency for locating my next place to live. The operators unethical business practices are on parade.
Forget About The Agency Located At 53 East 34th Street – Scam. Just warning everyone about guy who goes by the name of Gabriel (no signs at his office). Cat wanted me to pay a fee of $300.00, and to call him later in the week for location of the rooms. I scrammed out of there. On way out, security told me his business is BOGUS. DONT GO THERE!
The man who works here just took a registration fee in the amount of three hundred dollars and did absolutely nothing else. this guy is big on the sweet talking to get you to give him the fee and get this he just sends you to another real estate company known as american plaza which is at broadway and west 160th street in the heights. dont get snookered folks. the mans name escapes me.
Do NOT do business with this agent or American plaza! This man is there to just take your personal info like copies of your identification; dont give him anything. Hes very slick as a matter of fact - a full-together hustler who never misses dinnertime. Basically, hes a charlatan. Another tenant on the same floor as this man at 34th street told me that the cops are always in and out of his office trying to shut him down or what not. So, do not waste your time! Also, this hustler takes a large advance fee and then the room searcher is sent to American Plaza - another hustler from Nowheresville in uptown Manhattan. I suggest that law enforcement execute sentence on these wackos.
I was looking for a room in manhattan and went to this office where the man using the name mr mario was working -- he took $300 cash right off the bat -- then he sent me to another office in uptown manhattan which turned out to be another unlicensed room finding agency run by an older female (suzy) -- she wanted another $200 registration fee in order to send me to any room rentals -- so then I knew unethical business activity was in progress -- dont let them play you for a fool. Its a HOSE job of the highest order -- dont lose your money honey.
This place is a dreadful confusion run by deceitful man. This company is more than willing to collect a registration fee of $300 – gives empty promises and a load of BULL – they allegedly help housing hunters find rooms – but all they do is pinch the peeps cash and give nothing in return - the only thing you get out of it is a lesson on how these chiselers ROB housing explorers - Stay away from this company with all due respect – this mr mario guy done sent me to another real estate in uptown manhattan who charges another registration fee of $200 in advance. please don’t get played.if you get bent by this wolf in sheep’s clothing and want your money back just go to their office and call 911 and the cops will do it for you or they will start locking up the perps and it’s gonna be prison time.
This guy mr mario who runs this website business (wears glasses) has no signs at his office at 53 east 34 street and he’s a very bad boy cause he took me for a two hundred dollar fee and then referred us to another unlicensed real estate known as american plaza and they charge you another two hundred dollar fee before they assist you. So I returned to mr mario’s office and when I arrived there were two other ripped off customers complaining to the COPS about how mr mario took full advantage of them I asked the COPS if it was okay to beat up mr mario and they told me to wait until they left Don’t give this dude any money it ain’t gonna work out.
Heres what went on: the man at rent a room in NYC took us step by step through the entire process until he conned me and my boyfriend out of an upfront fee and the entire rental process was a nightmare thanks to this guy who runs a phony real estate agency. They basically sent me to another real estate called American Plaza who demanded ANOTHER ADVANCE FEE too. Its a trick... Dont fall for it!
My name is Charlton G, testing coordinator of the Fair Housing of New Jersey Fair. Our fair housing testing of Gabriel, who operates rentaroominnyc.nyc revealed the following: its operating as an unlicensed apartment sharing agent- they discriminate different types of people - they charge desperate room seekers advanced fees (usually $200) then they refer the victim to another agency that charges another advance fee.
Gabriel who also uses the name Mr Mario this guy has the nerve to charge the person searching for a room a registration fee of $200 then he sends you to another agency for another registration fee. Its the typical NYC flim flam operation. stay away from this agency, youll be sorry.
My wife and I have used this room agency about a week ago and it was a total success. We are grateful to Mr Gabriel who helped us locate a furnished room the same day we signed up online for the service, actually in less than three hours. For that, we highly recommend them and we will surely use them again in the near future for an apartment search.
Just warning everyone about a guy who runs this agency (no signs at his office) * I went to his office and this guy was watching TV and eating a seven course meal (ok now) * he basically charges the housing seeker a two hundred dollar fee in advance and his hustle is he then sends the air head to another agency uptown that tries to hit you up for another two hundred dollar fee in advance * dont go there his service is USELESS.
If you are urgently looking for an affordable furnished or unfurnished room for rent in New York City; then I strongly recommend this roommate agency. They offer same day service with reasonable prices. Even during this pandemic, they were able to find my nephew a room in less than twelve hours. I just hope one day they expand into lower Manhattan instead of focusing only on Washington Heights/Inwood and the Bronx.
I found this place through a Google search and I paid them a visit. I was glad to find out that they dont do a credit check. Agent Gabriel sent me to Washington Heights to view a couple of rooms but they were all rooms in family apartments. The people were nice but I wanted to have more privacy. So he took me to Brooklyn to view rooms in apartments shared by single professionals and I ended taking one of those. The whole process took about six hours but it was all worth it. Its been three months and I am still staying at the same place on Eastern Parkway and Troy Avenue. Overall, its a great service and I highly recommend it.
When it comes to rooms for rent in NYC, this agency is the best in my opinion. Ive used them twice and the results keep getting better. Yesterday, they found me a beautiful furnished room for rent on the upper west side near Columbia University. Not a five star hotel, but exactly what I was looking for. So guys, I highly recommend this room rental agency. Check them out! P.S. One of their best agents is Gabriel.
My experience was exemplary!! I was in desperate mode and this company lead by Gabrielle came to my rescue immediately. On limited funds they were able to get me a gorgeous room in a safe area at a great price . I am totally appreciative of Gabrielle’s hard work in securing a room for me. I will recommend this company to anyone who needs a room.
First let me start off with saying I am overly picking and second guess my decisions. Find a room in New York is even harder because of the prices, confusing burrows, lack of room space from previous experiences. I have to say I am a hard person to please. That being said, this is my truthful experience renting a room. By far the best accommodation. As much as I love the city and culture, its been a hassle to find a comfortable and reasonably priced for a room. Gabriel exceeded all of our expectations and the apartment was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend renting a room from here.
I have just relocated from New Jersey to New York City because of a job offer. This company has made the move so much easier on me. I have would have not known where to start if it was not for them. They connected me to some great agents that were able to help me quickly. I wish I could give them 10 stars. I will definitely recommend RENT A ROOM IN NYC to anyone looking for affordable housing in New York.
Anyone on the internet who asks you to pay through Zelle is most likely scam; Zelle in most of the time, is a non-refundable, non-disputable transaction. Here is the first flag, 2nd flag, their website is unprofessional and so suspicious. 3rd flag, they want you to pay before you see anything, and if they refer you, theyll refer you to someone they personally know and who will tell you the room is not available anymore. 4th flag, all five starts rating came from users that never contributed to review any business on Google. 5th flag, look on their comments replying to the bad reviews, when someone criticize them, they reply asking if they are on something today. Save your money dude.
Gabriel is awesome! Worked with him on 2 separate occasions and he was very professional and helpful. The 2nd time I needed him he actually got me into a better place based on getting to know me and what I look for. Can’t go wrong since he gives you the address and lets you check the place out BEFORE putting any money down. Not many places do that. Talk to him for a few minutes, let him get to know you a little and he’ll look out for you. Better than people just sending you everywhere without any care for your preferences.
Highly Satisfied ClientTwice I used this company and every time I did, it works out fine. Back in 2013, They found me a great spot in Brooklyn. I stayed there for couple of years. And now I am in West Harlem thanks to them.If you are looking for something affordable, please check them out. I highly recommend this NYC room rental agency.
When I was in an emergency situation. Gabriel came through! I had a day to find a place, and he made it happen which was incredible. Not only did he make it happen, he did while being nothing but professional and friendly. Additionally, it was perfectly in my price range, immaculate, and I am over the moon with the results. I would highly suggest working with him, he knows what he is doing and can certainly help anyone who needs to find a new place to live!
Thanks to rent a room in NYC, my niece was able to find a nice room for rent on this beautiful Memorial Day. Agent Gabriel was extremely helpful in setting up appointments for us with the owners. Actually, I was surprised they were open today. We finally found what my niece needed. Will be using them in the future if needs be.
I landed in NYC a week ago and I have been couchsurfing since then. I found this company through one of my school advisors and my experience with RENT A ROOM IN NYC had a happy ending. They found me a very nice room on the upper west side near transit, shops and all. I think its a great service for someone new to New York City and who is looking for a place that costs under $1000.00 per month. The only complaint that I have is they open late (11:00 AM). I think they should open around 9:30/10:00 AM.
Youll feel like an idiot when its all said and done, but technically this is a legit business. You pay $200 for him to refer you to his boss which is really a rental room agency that you couldve just googled yourself.Hell have you fill out an application and sign a paper that states any money you pay this guy is non-refundable.. Because after you find out that you paid $200 for him to send you to an actual room rental agency, thats the first thing youre going to want to do.The guy Gabriel is nice and all but he doesnt specify if an actual room is available because he doesnt know.. You pay him $200, then hell send you to his boss which is another rental room agency, then you pay them roughly $300+ in fees & deposits and then theyll give you two options of rooms to choose from. Then you have to travel yourself to see those rooms, IF the owners are avaliable (in my case they never are). The location he sends you to is the most busiest, and unorganized, place youll ever see. When I got there the lady told me straight up I couldve SAVED $200 coming straight there lol smdh. Youll be there for at least an hour before you are helped and the employees are all chatty & nonchalant. But Ill review that place separately. So there you go, you just got the information that I paid $200 for, for free. You use it wisely & be safe out there. So many people in this city are willing to take advantage of desperate people. They will welcome you with open arms & a smile.Be wary, be vigilant and God Bless
Hi,Mario Delucca thank you for your service. You was very professional, understanding and have lots of patience. All of my questions was answer efficiently and with respect. The broker you refer me to was very nice understanding answer all of my questions without any hesitation and I got a room that very same day and I love it once again thank you.
This is a fantastic service. I had to leave the apartment I was staying at last minute and had nowhere to go and within minutes Hans found me a new place to live that was even better than where I was staying before. I would definitely recommend this to anyone trying to find a place to live in New York City.
The fact that they charge $55 to signup for the website and the website looks unprofessional is a red flag to me. If you want money before showing anything of value, more red flags or scamming will come.Avoid this company if trying to move to NYC from out of state especially.
This company was a life saver when I got to ny two weeks ago.i had no idea it was so hard to find housing in this big city.i signed up for rent a room in NYC and within 3hours I was movingly into a fully furnished room in crown heights Brooklyn on the intersection of eastern parkway and Troy avenue.so far so good.my new roomies are cool and considerate and I feel very at home.thumbs up for this NYC rental agency.i will definitely recommend this site to my friends.
I have used his services for years, he makes the process so simple and easy. Im a very last minute person, so he is excellent. In and out. He has placed serveral of my freinds and we all love him. If i could give him 6 stars i wouldve. Also his office is conveintly located in heart on nyc.
Excellent customer serviceMoved in the same dayRooms are well keptGood locationsIm attending college in NYC and need to find a place to stay after going throught countless agencies I Found this site in a Google search and I was connected to a guy named Gaberial, I was expecting somebody trying to push a room on me to make a sale with a take or leave it kinda attitude but he was very professional and listened to me and seemed more concerned about helping me find a suitable place that could work for me rather than just taking my money and the process was quick and easy and I got to move in the day
I would like to start this off with amazing service he found me a room in less than a day I am so very thankful and he actually treated me like a human and it’s their pricing for all of the service that you do do a lot of people say it’s a lot of money but he help and I highly recommend him outstanding service
This gabriel fella has used other website names in the past ten years in order to get over on apartment and room seekers online; consumer fraud, he charges the housing seeker an advance fee ranging from $200.00 to $300.00, then the victim is simply dispatched to other room finding agencies in uptown Manhattan such as American Plaza, 3834 Broadway at West 160th Street, in Washington Heights - and they charge yet another fee! SCAM 1000% SCAM. he got me, he got me good!
One of my best experiences when it came to this wonderful city, this agency allowed me the opportunity to rent and settle comfortably in Manhattan, and its surroundings. They are people with a high and excellent customer service, they not only guide you but they fully advise you. I recommend them because their priority is loyalty to their clients.
After a cordial greeting, my wife Angelica and I want to express that we are very grateful to God for having allowed us to meet Gabriel at such an opportune moment, Mr. Gabriel accepted our request immediately we made the call, and the management of the room for a couple that we were requiring also complying with the characteristics that we had requested, always kept in communication with us with utmost responsibility, attention and respect, without a doubt I recommend the services of Mr. Gabriel and his agency. Blessings!

2022-05-29Not a qualified agent. this agent just collects an upfront fee just to send the housing seeker to another unlicensed real estate that charges another upfront fee. go figure? Its your typical New York City swindle, so dont even think about doing it. If you want to get taken advantage of just one time instead of twice, just go directly to American Plaza, 3834 Broadway (where this bird sent me), and theyll be perfectly willing to take your hard earned money. They speak limited English at American Plaza, so bring an interpreter.

2022-06-30I called to get information about the company and they act real cool and friendly promising you they are legit. now when the speil is done, I tried to ask the man there some questions about refunds and he told me that there no refunds and now because you have bugged me there will be no room referrals for you so just go to the shelter and then he disconnected the phone call. They have this really nice website set up to glaze daze and amaze the knuckleheads in the world that can’t tell it’s just lies to trick you. Im going to report this crook to everybody so they know what’s the real deal.

2022-06-30Do not do business with him. He is just there to take your personal info, copies of your personal information, etc, basically he’s a meano. Do not give him anything. Hes very nice until he gets your money and basically is a hustler however he’s better suited as a cowpoke! Another tenant on the same floor as this agent said that the cops are always there trying to calm down customers that want their money back. Do not waste your time!

2022-07-06Wow, the owner mr gabriel is very diligent at ripping housing seekers in New York City. All the bad reviews here are so close to the ones on file with the authorities. I went to this guy’s office and made the mistake of paying him two hundred dollars. His business is a scam. mr gabriel and his company are worthless. You will not find a good room with him. Very convincing scammer. If you see him, run for the hills. His phony ads are all over craigslist. he sends his ripped off clients to another agency (American Plaza) @ 3834 Broadway in Washington Heights, where you need to pay another fee. do get caught up with this time waster!

2022-06-29Wow the owner gabriel is very diligent at ripping off housing seekers in the New York City area. All the bad reviews here are so dosh gone close to the ones the state has on file for this con artist. Dont use this gabriel guy, made the mistake of paying him in cash. He is a complete scam. He and his company have no use. You will not find a good room with his company. Very sweet guy that will rip your heart out. His phony ads are all over his website. he sends his ripped off clients to an agency known as American Plaza at 3834 Broadway in Washington Heights. as soon as I got to his office, gabriel asked if I had the fee in cash. Stay as far away from this guy as possible.

2022-06-14This place is beyond hopeless. This nasty company requires an upfront fee but it’s all an illusion. on their website you see some nice rooms, but it’s all bogus because this agent has no rooms and just refers the prey to another unregulated real estate that requires additional fees in advance for assistance. They are trying to steal the peeps hard earned money and give nothing in return and the only thing you get out of it is a lesson on how to be careful next time. Stay away from these phonies for real. if you get bent by these hustlers and want your money back just go to their office, call 911, and the cops will do it for you.

2022-06-04I came across this room finding agent on google. The agent, whose name is Gabriel, demands an advance fee in the amount of $200 (non-refundable cash fee). Once this room finder agent gets the $200 fee, it turns out all they do is refer you to another room finder agent by 160th and Broadway in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan. now once you arrive at that office, youre shocked to find out that they also demand another flat fee to register with them or they show you the door! - thank goodness I looked up American Plaza on google and it showed all the horrible reviews. I FILED A CASE in SMALL CLAIMS COURT because Gabriel REFUSED to refund the advance fee.

2022-07-01This gabriel cat done charged me a fee of $250.00 at his office which he calls a room rental agency but he’s got a lot of hocus pocus going on. Then con man just sent me to another agency at 3834 Broadway called american plaza or whatever, and these hustlers demanded another fee. I went back to gabriel’s office, called 911, and when the LIDS arrived, they made gabriel give me back my money, and they be tellin me the scammers name is mr mario, and that he’s a sweet talking conniver. find a room on your own, you’ll be better off!

2022-07-05The guy mr mario tried to shakedown me & shortie for advance fee. This guy gabriel mario has an office that he rents on the 5th floor at east 34th street in Midtown Manhatttan. mr mario tried to get me to pay him a $200.00 advance fee and then he tried to send me to 3834 Broadway in Washington Heights. I asked him if that was another agency and he told me it was his partner agency that handles his rooms. Well while I was sitting in his office, I Googled the 3834 Broadway address where this con artist wanted to send me, got the phone number and called them up. Turns out its another unlicensed scam that takes another fee in advance and they have no connection with this guy mr mario. Stay away from this man. it’s painfully obvious that he likes to engage in a left handed form of human endeavor. that’s not vey nice.

2022-07-04This gabriel man done took me me for $250.00 then he just sent me to an agency at the corner of Broadway and 160th Street in Washington Heights called American Plaza. The lady working there told me give her another fee of $200.00 which was NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. I went back to gabriel (fraudster man) and called law enforcement. When the law enforcement arrived, they got me back the advance fee that gabriel stole from me, they they took a police report. they took me to the Midtown South Precinct where I spoke to several detectives about this fraudster man gabriel. the police told me that gabriel engages in lots of naughty no no’s and that he’s a very bad boy (well I believe it) I exited the meeting feeling most satisfied.
