After my run in McCarren Park, Greenpoint - Brooklyn, I wanted to try the new Latin fusion in the neighborhood and boy their food was amazing. Most of the menu is gluten free, so I could choose a lot of things and since I just became vegan, I also foundcmany options to choose from which made me really happy. So I ordered the vegan and gluten free empanadas, the ensalada verde and the cauliflower wings (vegan). The chef came out to say hi which was super nice of him and he was very accommodating to my dietary needs (i appreciate restaurants that do that so much). My biggest surprise besides the empanadas being gluten free was the salad that had cactus in it (never ate it before) with the combination of the jalapeños and pumpkin seeds- that salad was incredibly yummy.I also try their maracuya (passion fruit) non alcoholic drink and it was so good that it made me smile. I’m definitely going to try them again on the future and probably bring my friends too .
Delicious isn’t even the word! Beautifully presented and so tasty, you could truly see the heart that was put into this restaurant just buy their food and beverages. My favorite dishes were the Lomo Saltado and Spicy Tuna Ceviche. I also loved the mock tails, I tried the Mango and Lulo mocktail and they were both amazing. The Lulo is a must try!! Very unique flavors that I believe you wouldn’t find anywhere else. Please check out this restaurant, it’s an absolute gem. Republic won’t disappoint!
Loved the food and service. Plentiful and reasonably price.They have the whole nine yards. Great entrée, great apps, great sides and great dessert.
Spacious, Design really well . The drinks was on point . N they had a live DJ end up having a great time . This is a great element for the Burg.
The Chulo Lulo drink was so good. The Salchipapa, chori man & cheese and the marisco paella for hubby was so delicious. All well worth it.$$$
Stopped in for some appetizers and a specialty margarita that absolutely hit the spot! Lomo tacos, empanadas (mushroom and short rib), along with classic tostones and Buffalo cauliflower bites that created a wonderful variety of flavor. Republic has all the hits for both vegan, and non vegan eaters along with a cozy, inviting space to lounge and enjoy yourself. 10/10 recommended to all, shout out to all the staff who truly make the experience special, “Con Amor”!
Probably hottest place in town right now. Food is really amazing! Compliments to the chef!!! Place has a great atmosphere and vibe. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Great place to go for a work function event or just to hang out with friends/ date . Decor is really pretty almost tropical like. Loved every bit definitely will be coming back. 10/10 stars for me! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Highly recommend! We live in the neighborhood and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. We had the bistec and it was well worth the price. The place itself has very club-y vibes ( big space, beautiful bar, incredible music) and it made me deeeeeply hope that Republic Latin could become one of those places that’s a restaurant by day and dancey bar by night. North Williamsburg desperately lacks reggaeton clubs, this would be a hit!!
Love this place for boozy brunch. It was $35 for 1.5 hours for bottomless mimosas and a starter. They have tons of great flavors too if you are not an orange juice fan. I also love how they leave the bottles at the table and allow you to make your own mimosa as strong or juicy as you would like. The food is also delicious and sometimes they have a DJ.
I love this spot !!! Great food , short rib empanadas were amazing and the cocktails are some of the best, by far the most original cocktails I have had in a very long time! I have been back a few times and have tasted all of the cocktails and each one is unique and delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, going back to the cocktails! The presentation and flavor are top notch. This place is the premier spot for the future in Latin cocktails
Awesome place !! Great food and drinks the brunch’s as good the magarita were on point the bartender G.O was awesome the waiter Barbra was lovely the manager Christian had great hospitality and the DJ was awesome !! Definitely would go back the only thing missing is hookah lol
I made a reservation tonight for a late Mothers Day dinner for my good friend. We walk in and the hostess immediately says were only serving cocktails. Im confused and try to explain to her that we have a reservation. She tells me theres no way I could have one this late and the kitchen is closed. I let her know that I have a confirmation email and she repeats that the kitchen is closed and turns her back to continue whatever she was doing. I manage digital platforms for restaurants and understand that things happen. I was disappointed of course, but would have made the best of it by having a few cocktails if it werent for the way we were treated. The hostess attitude and lack of concern for my reservation blew my mind especially considering this was the restaurants mistake on a special day. A simple apology could have gone a long way but instead I was made to feel like I was in the wrong for making a reservation and showing up! There were no other restaurants open nearby, but a hotel bar and pizza saved the day.
The Food was average, had better @my local Spanish Restaurant., But the worst part was our waitress , who we had to practically flag down to take our order, which took like an hour to arrive and the waitress had to be flagged down once again to be asked Wheres our food, she was clueless, food finally arrived, and she never came back to our table, the nice waitress at the next table was nice enough to help us. The bus boys were more helpful than her,the manager was very nice and comped us on some of the bill
I came here with high expectations based off other reviews I had read and It definitely was worth it. The ambiance was great, the drinks were right on point with a good balance and the food was amazing. Our waiter for the night, Yohanny was great. I highly recommend and will definitely come back.
We came here for happy hour and ended up ordering some snacks. I tried the Papi Mango (tequila) and Mora-Mora (gin) cocktails. Both were fantastic though not on the happy hour menu (the classic cocktails are in there). Worth it though! The service was excellent, we sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly. As far as food, the empanadas and yucca fries were DELICIOUS and I cant wait to return for a full meal! This space has been hard to fill and I really hope Republic is around for quite some time.
Republic restaurant bar and lounge stands out in a sea of options located in the area. Comfortably hosted my party of 4. The atmosphere was nice, the staff were friendly and attentive and the drinks were stellar, but its the food that will have us coming back again and again! Fair pricing, gluten free and vegan options, I would recommend!
Christian and Brian always take care of their guests...great food...amazing drinks...and the staff and atmosphere is AMAZING.
The drinks were good, and we were seated quickly, but my friend’s order was messed up 3x. My steak was cold, and the rice was dry. The guacamole was not fresh, and the chips included with it weren’t either. However, the music is good, and the waitresses were nice. My only complaint about the service is that the food took extremely long to come out.
Decor is really nice. The hostess and waitress were also nice. Drinks were good but not consistent. Food was okay but not worth the prices.There was confusion with the check, we were charged things we didn’t order. It was a mistake that was corrected without issues but something that shouldn’t happen.

2022-08-02We went Sunday evening around 830 so there weren’t much people. The atmosphere was nice. We had the avocado roll as an appetizer and it was amazing. Our drinks were nice and strong. Only critique is we waited really long for our main dish so that was kind of disappointing. But overall the experience was good

2022-04-24PAULA IS AMAZINGGGGG, She was our server ,we went on a Sunday. The DJ was great , the food was amazing and the drinks are strong. Bottomless was only $29 and included the price of the appetizer. It was worth it. We also enjoy entrees. Come support this Colombian restaurant it’s amazing

2021-12-04This restaurant is AMAZING!! The atmosphere is a lounge vibe with fantastic service and delicious food! I had sushi as an appetizer and it was some of the best Ive ever had! The quinoa bowl is super light and healthy, highly recommend! The owners are some of the nicest people youll ever meet! You wont be disappointed!

2022-07-03Loved this place so much, will be our go-to ladies night. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Beef tacos were my favorite. You have to order the tacos! My friends liked the salmon and Peruvian rice. Bartender is amazing- pina coladas and Paloma were a dream. Decor and music made it a vibe ❤️❤️❤️❤️. I’m coming back

2022-07-10Chill spot. The vibe was awesome! The staff was on point! The food was impeccably cooked. Not one complaint about this Latin Fusion Restaurant in the heart of Williamsburg. The Steak was cooked perfectly and My partner really enjoyed the Oxtail Bao Buns. We will def be back for brunch soon.

2022-05-07We came here for Mother’s Day weekend. Everything was beyond exceptional. DJ was on point. It was like a day party. Service was so great, did I mention the DJ was great. Food was pretty good too!!!! Oh…the classic margarita was fantastic!! I ordered 4, bartender G.O was very consistent.

2022-05-19Overall: not impressed, everything was overpriced for what it was. I wouldnt eat here again.Food: we had the Lechon Asado - it was soggy. The Chicharron de Pollo was dry and spongy. Almost like it was cooked frozen. Also the Ox Tail slider is not on a slider bun, its on a bao bun.Drinks: they served me a flat diet coke.Service: the staff was friendly. Everyone was really nice.Ambiance: beautiful venue

2021-09-29This place has a very sexy atmosphere, just opened in the neighborhood this is a must visit! The food is nothing like youve ever had, a true Latin fusion! So many vegan options, I couldnt decide which was my favorite. All of the staff is super friendly and accommodating, faculties very clean, and they have a great mocktail list whilst they await a liquor license.

2022-05-13Republic Latin Fusion is everything Williamsburg needed! From the food, to the drinks to the ambiance you cant beat it. Ive come here a couple of times and every sever and staff member Ive had was super attentive and polite which made my experience even better. The drinks are very good especially the Chulo Lulo which is my fav! The wings are fantastic along with the ceviche, lomo tacos, empanadas, chapolin colorado sushi and the bistec ala castro is bomb. The lounge on Fridays and Saturdays are also great vibes. 2022-05-30It’s safe to say that I’m a regular at Republic.I’ve been there with and without my kids and always have such a great time. Food, drinks and vibes are always at 100%, also their staff are super friendly and all have great hospitality skills.Short rib empanadas are a must have! ❤️
