Very professional, knowledgeable medical and clinical staff who provided the highest degree of overall care across every discipline of care. Over the initial hours and days, the core Medical/Nursing component provided absolutely top notch truly *expert* care that was up to speed on the most effective way to treat cases involving substances that require a different approach be taken when some of the more typical medications and treatment modalities used for medical detox have become essentially useless in the face of Fentanyl’s ubiquity when it comes to the current trend in what’s being consumed (with or without intending it) on the street. The facility is INCREDIBLY well suited to effectively fight back against Fentanyl because, fortunately, RRC of OC is NYS licensed to dispense both Suboxone/Buprinorphine containing medications AS WELL AS (critically for the fight against Fentanyl…) a license to dispense Methadone on site as used for treating chemical dependency.This facility is, by every metric, by FAR the absolute best facility I’ve ever encountered or frankly even *heard of*. Owing to its buildings former life of commercial hospitality operating as a Holiday Inn Hotel until it’s conversion to a treatment facility, the amenities are almost comically comfortable. All the existing details of comfort like high quality mattresses, feather pillows and soft high thread count sheets are all continually being used to this day. On suite bathrooms, in room televisions, both indoor AND outdoor POOLS (yes, you read that correctly… this facility has a SWIMMING POOL. Actually, POOLS… plural) and in house gym/recreational facilities.When you’re going through such a physically, emotionally and spiritually difficult time such as going through treatment like this — it cannot be overstated how dramatically positive an effect having such physically comfortable amenities and living arrangements has on one’s recovery. Combined with top notch integrated care provided by a super competent and genuinely empathetic and universally kind clinical, medical and support staff.If you or someone you love has a need for inpatient treatment of the sort provided here, there is no better option within MANY hours drive in all directions. If you’re able to make it here, it’s worth the extra time and distance to ensure you get the opportunity for the highest quality care available even if it’s not physically the closest facility to you.If you or someone you love needs treatment for an addiction to drugs or alcohol in the entire state of New York…. this is THE place where they belong, without question.- Steve from Buffalo, New York

Just left here today and I have to say it was a life changing experience. From the directors to the counselors, to the client care employees and the nursing staff. If you yourself or a family member need help this is the place to go. If I could give 10 stars I would.
Resource Recovery Center of Orange County SAVED MY LIFE!!!! I have been to an outpatient rehab before, but it pales in comparison to this amazing place. The directors, counselors, nursing staff, medical providers,...let me just say ALL staff I engaged with truly care about you and your well-being. I have my life back and learned to live one day at a time. It was here, that I was taught to tie my shoes again as I often say. Today I have almost 60 days clean and sober and I couldnt have done it without the help from every single person from this center. I HIGHLY recommend anyone who is struggling with alcohol or substance abuse to come here and take advantage of everything they offer. We only have one life, and hey... who wouldnt want want to get sober in a former Holiday Inn? Did I mention that?

I was admitted into resource recovery a broken woman who had no faith in myself. The staff took their time with me, taught me things I never learned in many other programs I was in. Listened to me without any judgement! The groups are fantastic! they had yoga twice a day. The meals are amazing! THE ENTIRE STAFF are incredible! The facility itself is clean. I walked out of there a new woman and kept the tools i was given and remained clean. If anyone is struggling please call this place
I’ve been to many treatment centers and although I’m greatful for those experiences I can honestly say that the Resource Recovery Center of Orange County has been the most rewarding and beneficial program by far. I was so sick and tired upon arrival and felt the care and concern from staff which began with the initial screening during admissions continued through my detox and into my 28 day stay. The Directors, Drs, Nurses, Therapists, Care Coordinators and Security made for a safe and welcoming environment to begin the journey back to health and sobriety. I also never went hungry as they have wonderful cooks preparing 3 meals a day and there are 3 snacks a day along with vending machines on the floor. It doesn’t get better than that. There are leisure activities and very informational groups providing one with life skills to take out into the world. I grew tremendously in those 28+ days and took away many insights and valuable tools so I will be better able to cope and maintain my sobriety. Since I’m writing a book I will add that I was open minded and willing this time to go to any lengths and was helped with an aftercare plan that would support my transition from rehab to the outside world. For me it is a halfway house and taking the time I need to build my foundation. It may be something different for another and it’s not always easy to surrender and ask for help however if you do -like I finally did choose The Resource Recovery Center of Orange County (RRCOOC) It will be one of the best decisions you’ll ever make for your life. Found facility to be far above expectations, they have the information needed to enhance continued sobriety, as well as the above average staff to convey it! Would highly recommend RRCOC to anyone in crisis or struggling with any type of Substance use Disorder 5 star facility for sure!
My stay at Resource Recovery Center was by far the best I’ve had. The groups were Amazing an taught me a lot about addiction. Tomorrow I will have 5 months clean an Resource Recovery played a BIG PART in my success so far. If you are looking for a Program to go into I Highly recommend Resource Recovery as a place to go. They have very comfortable beds T.V in the rooms. It’s very comfortable in a time where you’re uncomfortable in your own skin.
RRCOOC was a great experience, the counselors were supportive, caring and very knowledgeable. Besides the great staff and addiction education they have art groups entertainment every Saturday night and expressive writing groups.
Resource Recovery of Orange County is an amazing place. RRCOOC is filled with compassionate staff who genuinely care about all of us, as well as an environment that is incredibly comfortable. The care that I received from the clinical staff here was outstanding! My counselor was there for me almost around the clock but if I ever needed someone to talk to in a difficult moment, someone was there, whether it be the CCO, the Director, or just another one of my peers. I’ve been to over 10 inpatient rehab facilities and the number one place I would recommend to someone struggling with addiction is RRCOOC.Zach D

If you really want to get sober n are willing to cut off contact for 28 days THIS is the place to go. Plus the pool was hella nice
People left because of the fear of others hurting them. Security and other employees having inappropriate contact with patients. Doors left unlocked at night so guys can get to the girls if they want. Disgusting.
Resource Recovery Center of Orange County helped save my life and my marriage. The counselors and administration sincerely care and are passionate about Recovery and helping people like me who suffer from the disease of addiction. The program gave me all the information I needed to build a healthy foundation for my recovery. I am forever grateful 🙏 for this program and all the amazing things it has taught me so I can have a productive, healthy and happy life.
People come to rehab to get help. Some rehabs treat u less than. This place is amazing. The councilers are super caring and respectful and they really do care about you and your issues. The staff, nurses and even the security guards are 100% respectful and actually really cool. The food is good. The rooms are hotel rooms. You have your own tv and all the channels in the world. But that is not what rehab is about. If you are truly planning on changing your life, I recommend this place. Nothing but positivity

What a great experience I spent there. I never been to a rehab where peers and staff showed me loved and respect. I recommend this rehab to anybody that serious about their lives and recovery.
RRCOC is a geat program. I learned alot about myself because the groups were slways insightful. Ive been to almost every rehsb in new york state. My addiction has cost ke everything but because of this program i think i can fight back. I was greatful for the nursing staff especially Heather. They have to deal with a lot of stuff and are deffintly over worked. I lost part of my legs in a car DWI accident when i was a dumb kid and Heather went out on her lunch break to buy me Epstein salt for my legs out of her own pocket. That is the kind of person she is.
I never been to a detox thats runned so professionally with empathy. I left feeling recharged & healthy, not wanting to ruin that effort put in by staff & myself. Gradual taper done right. I am greatful & lucky that such a place exists.

A very good friend of mind was in the facility for a 28 day program. He had nothing but good things to say about them. The facility is very clean, very caring counselors and the lectures were very helpful. I happy to say that he has been clean for six months.

No other facility would you dare to send your beloved family member to for direct care and healing. Perfection doesnt exist .. but RRCOOC comes darn close. No worries and you sleep good knowing your family is in their healing professional hands the whole 28 days. My niece was recently discharged from this place negligently. This facility kicks patients out everyday for minor things like sharing clothes, having an emotional moment, and basically just being someone in early recovery. They have no sympathy. There was no due process, she was discharged with over 50 miles from home without a ride. She was not tested for COVID before entering the facility. She describes staff not wearing masks or clients, as well as people being in very close proximity of each other with no mask. These people are vindictive, nasty, and abhorrent. They are being negligent with people’s lives with absolutely no shame.
Unfortunately if you require help after being there good luck. I have been sober for a year and relapsed this past week. I left a message for David Gerber and and Admissions 9 am this morning inquiring about detoxing. Absolutely not one phone call received very disappointed. Marisa T
Resource definitely changed my life. The counselors and nurses were so helpful and hands on. Dave definitely helped me get into Regan which was the best fit for all of my needs.

Personally I had a great experience. It was a rough road and this place really did their best supporting me. I thank them. Ignore the bad reviews . The only reason people were asked to leave was because they couldnt follow basic rules. Highly recommend it here.

The nurse there was pursuing me after I got out and said its a conflict of interest for her job. I wasnt thinking clearly and we slept together but now realize she took advantage when I was in weak state of mind. She should be fired and I want to see a lawyer

I was at this facility unfortunately did not stay twice, the staff is amazing. anyone that has anything bad to say about this place is not telling full story.they will try everything in their power to keep you there and help you with your drug use. I would go back if i needed too. its very ruled driven, but addicts need discipline they have rules you must follow and if you cant , this is not the place for you .

This facility is a joke and an insurance scam the staff has no clue about anything and they only care about your insurance and getting you thrown out after your insurance company pays I have to many sad stories about the facility and staff to list. DO NOT TRUST THIS FACILITY.
This place helped a lot of people I am very close with. The staff is remarkable. I would recommend RRoCC before any other facility in NYS.

2022-06-13I’ll forever have so many mixed feelings about this place. I went three different times and I completed once, my last time there. It’s so easy to let the petty stuff get to you there because it’s such a long process, but you can’t sweat the small stuff. The staff really does care and is willing to go above and beyond for you as long as you’re willing to accept the help. I was struggling for years before I attended. Each time I went I was accepted with open arms. Going back the second and third time was so embarrassing to me but the staff didn’t make me feel that way. They made it clear they were happy to see me back rather than hearing I was dead or imprisoned. The place is an old hotel and your rooms are the same as a regular hotel would be. I have to say this place does an amazing job with making you feel comfortable. The food is the worst part about the place but if you’re there for the food you have no business being there anyway. I’ll forever be grateful for RRCOOC and the help they gave me. I had attended many other programs before going and none of them got through to me like this place did. I’m extremely grateful for Amber who went above and beyond in helping me find after care. They will help you get into any program you want to do after. For me it was a sober house and she found me a perfect match. I have 52 days clean today which is the longest time I’ve had since I picked up at the age of 17. The memories I have from this place aren’t the greatest memories I have in my life but they are some of the most memorable and important. This place changed my life and I’ll forever be grateful. A majority of the counselors really do care. Every week is the same schedule but not every meeting is the same. There’s so many different ways they approach recovery. If you commit to this program it will help you. Dave, Frank, Chris & Amber are great people that are there to help you be the best version of yourself. I highly recommend going and committing to this program for the full 28 days. I genuinely believe RRCOOC is the best place to start your journey to recovery! If I can do it, anyone can.

2021-11-19This was honestly one of the best places to start a new healing and recovery journey. The staff was absolutely fantastic and super professional. They go above and beyond to make sure you comfortable and you are getting the level of care you need! Connie made the admission process very easy and comfortable, she was super Communicative with my sister who was a big help through out this whole process. They responded quick and efficiently which show their passion and deviation to helping people find recovery and healing ❤️🩹. Amber was fabulous she made finding extensive after care for additional rehabilitation center easy and stress free. Because of resources of recovery and these two special staff member I am able to further my recovery for additional 4 to 6 months and learn to live a happy sober life. The center itself had a great vibe and plenty of activities and meeting to keep you busy and focus 🧘♀️All day. also was 🏳️🌈 LGBTQ friendly which made my transition to the center a lot easier. My sister and I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for recovery long term they connect you to all the right places and resources if you ask.

2022-01-22Most wonderful treatment Ive ever been too.....whatever negative rumors youve heard Im here to put them to rest....This place truly saves my life...Staff was amazing and cared about all of us and met my needs in every way...big nice rooms and yes the TVs are there! But if it wasnt for the compassion and positive energy that filled that building Idk if Id been able to say that TODAY I COMPLETED!!!! Thank you RRCOOC for helping me build this foundation that I can build on today! Beyond Blessed!!

2021-12-11I just completed the program. RRCOOC is by far the best rehab Ive been to.... The staff and counselors truly care. I dont know about you, but thats important to me. This place will help you get sober and clean if you truly want it. The rooms are literally hotel rooms.... 2 man rooms with queen sized comfy beds and flat screen TVs... Also an indoor pool and a work out room... This is a great place with great groups that will teach you allot, if you listen! I cant thank these people enough and thanks to a big part of them.... My family has our son back. I have much love and respect for every person that works here... From the guys that cleaned my room daily to my counselors, nursing staff and my fellow peers!

Julianna and Carliss have been so helpful with our daughter as well as everyone there. I cant express how thankful we are for the understanding and help they extended to us through a difficult time.

2022-05-06This is the best and most helpful rehab I have been to. Staff was wonderful although nursing was short staffed. All groups were centered around womens issues and cbt as well as dbt. Food for was great as well as rooms. Indoor outdoor pool was available. I cant say enough about this place, it was so helpful not to have so many reasons for hightened anxiety.

2022-05-10I absolutely loved this place. I cried leaving. It was like I left my second home. you get a beautiful hotel room. With or without a roommate the other men and women are beautiful people. The staff will go out of their way for you. Theres a small gym with 2 treadmills and a few other things. No worried not many people go at one time. The indoor pool is heated and very comfortable, so bring a bathing suit. They do your laundry and have a schedule posted up. They clean your room and change your sheets. If its warm enough they have an outdoor pool. The nurses are hard working and incredibly busy, so please have patience when waiting for your meds. You get 3 meals a day and snacks after each meal. They have vending and soda machines. Be sure to bring cash. They have yoga rooms and you watch youtube videos of yoga so you can practice. They have great groups multiple times a day and teach you alot. Not to mention actual arts and crafts. You can play basketball in the parking lot, or lawn games on the grass. Maybe just sit and get some sun. the T.V has cable. I dont know what else to say to convince you this is the best rehab experience you can ever hope for. Please dont be afraid, youre going to the right place.

2022-05-06Very good 28 day program. Emmanuel was my Counselor really taught me alot and told me strategies to prevent relapse very significant ones, ones that Ive never knew and Ive been to about seven treatment centers. Everything I asked him to do he was on it and his care and concern was at a high level at all times. The nurses Adrian and Alicia were very nice! Theyre concerned for our well-being was always at high level. CC matt and miles were great! As well as my man CC Eugene! One thing I wasnt pleased about was program director Frank Pellegrino after bringing something of high concern to him he pretty much brought the focus back on me pulling me up that I was trying to manipulate him in other words I think for the future of the program this man should not be in charge. All and all staff were great!

2022-05-08I would like to say this place is centered around treating men better than the women. Food was ok. Groups again ok. No real therapy going on unless u make it what u need to make it for yourself. They are also some what racist towards certain people. Some security very unprofessional… one goes by the name of blessing. She was so unprofessional sitting in groups in the middle of the men. When that isn’t her job is to fraternizing with the men. I def took some things but the treatment I got was unacceptable due to being targeted and almost being kicked out for using a word. Which is use all the time. I hope they work on how they treat all people from all walks of like.

2022-03-13Everyone went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. It was a hotel, so you get a new hotel room all to yourself, they bring you room service. I didn’t feel sick at all while I was there. The nurses and doctors actually care about making you feel as comfortable as possible. The only thing I have to complain about is the food.. kinda rough lol. But other than that this place is amazing. Hopefully I won’t need to return, but if I ever do… this is definitely the place I would go. Completely covered by Medicaide.. you can bring your own cash for the vending machines, there’sa pool if you want to swim.. it was like a vacation. Absolutely amazing place with amazing staff.
