Ive tried many acupuncture in the past. Dr. Jyan was referred by a friend awhile ago, and when another friend mentioned him, I thought I would try. First of all, he has an excellent bedside manner. He listened carefully and reviewed my medical history with great consideration. He is also very good at explaining to me whats the next course of treatments will be. Also, he really takes his time with me unlike any other acupuncturist before. I feel being treated seriously and respectfully.

I am so incredibly thankful I found Dr. Jyan. His office is close to where I work so its convenient. Ive been going to him now for about 8 months for a herniated and slipped discs and noticed improvement after the first few appointments. Going to him for the treatments over this time Ive seen massive improvements in my mobility. He also treated me for migraine headaches which run in my family. After a few treatments I havent had one.Not only does he really know what hes doing, hes also a very professional and friendly person. Very welcoming. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!!!

I’ve received acupuncture treatments from Mr Jyan for different medical problems over the years. I see him at the Medical Plaza office in the Bronx.He is very professional, patiently listens to your complaints and answers your questions. Whatever treatment he’s given me for a particular problem I no longer experience the pain. I do recommend his services.

Dr. Jyan is a responsible and caring professional acupuncturist. My years of insomnia have been greatly improved under his treatment. In this epidemic, I caused insomnia due to mental depression. He also helped and healed me by video and phone, so that my insomnia would not worsen. He is a trusted doctor.

I was seeing Dr Jyan for a year at The Bronx office/Medical Plaza. I have a medical condition that exists from childhood which often throws my body for a loop unexpectedly. I’ve seen acupuncturist before and wholeheartedly believe in the practice. I will say that I received this coverage through my insurance and always felt the sessions were too short in comparison to visits I’ve had with other acupuncturist in which I paid out of pocket. Unfortunately, I missed a scheduled appointment last year and one this year due to unexpected medical emergencies after making 11 appointments (managing my pain and traveling with my pain to appointments) with Dr. Jyan at his Bronx office. However, after missing the second appointment Dr Jyan requested that due to my missing two appointments he recommends I find someone else. Now, I can understand the disappointment of under booking and missing out on money but for a year long patient/doctor relationship where the doctor is familiar with your condition should/could have warranted another penalty for a missed appointment. Like, ones office charging for the appointment if not canceled with ample timing? Which I do recall reading In the office contract yet was not mentioned when I was asked to find another acupuncturist. Needless to say, at this time I am disappointed with Dr Jyan’s practice. I am shocked to have been asked to find another acupuncturist when despite the cramped quarters at the Bronx office and minimal privacy along with the lack of all the wonderful accommodations including lighting, heating, aroma therapy and sounds of calm that I have received at other acupuncture offices, I stayed...I have given recommendations to the office of Dr Jyan Richards and wish that a bit more couth would/could have been used on his end as I thought he would be more compassionate of my condition as a Doctor and feel good knowing that while I wait to have surgery his practice aided in me getting my body where it needed to be but I can’t say that. Peace people, in closing choose an acupuncturist that is truly looking to aid in your healing/recovery. I missed two appointments people, in a year, in which I made eleven!!! Smh.Update: As it seems I received an alert email regarding this review but am not able to respond directly to the reply so I am updating here. NOTE: I was a private patient of Dr Jyans and I often texted as I assume many patients did? To make and cancel appointments directly with Dr Jyan at the number listed here, an iPhone. I interacted with the office minimally as to sign in, so the response in my opinion, simply further speaks to the bedside manner and overall intentions. Furthermore, no one from the clinic contacted me about cancellation protocols. I missed one appointment during a snow storm last year and this week. Thank you. I wish you the best Dr Jyan as I stated in the last text I sent you after you suggested I find another practitioner, via text! Peace to you!!!

I am very grateful for meeting Dr. Jyan. He is an excellent acupuncturist, and most importantly, a wonderful human being. He is caring, genuine, and very knowledgable.About 1 year ago, I decided to try acupuncture for some PMS symptoms I was experiencing since a young age (i.e. cramping, low back pain, migraine headaches, lack of energy).After my consultation, Dr. Jyan suggested an acupuncture regimen that worked wonders. Within a few treatments, instead of medicating with Ibuprofen, I can attest that receiving acupuncture treatment has practically removed the need for me to take medication or experience any debilitating symptoms.I highly recommend Dr. Jyan for acupuncture treatment.

Mr Jyan is wonderful. Hes professional, knowledgeable and friendly. In less than 2 months of treatment he helped me tremendously. Strongly recommend.

He is the best my back went completely out. I could barely walk or bend. I went to him and the next day I was able to move around in two days I was back to normal
