If I could give it minus stars I would. Ive had their food a couple of times and always stuck with the rotisserie chicken. This time I didnt, my wife and I ordered individual meals. My wife witnessed the cook drop a steak on the floor, pick it up, run some water on it (just enough to wet it a bit) and throw it on the grill. I said hey, that food just feel on the floor and hes still cooking it . I was told oh we arent serving that. I asked them why are you cooking it then? They began to speak Spanish not realizing Im Puerto Rican, so rather than go nuts I asked for my money back. Definitely not going to order anything from them again.
Small restaurant with Tasty big servings and reasonable prices
Food was pretty good. Grilled Steak had flavor. Rice and beans were good. Avocado salad was good and fresh. The plantains were too sugary and hard.
Its really a shame to see how this place has declined. I recently ordered a seafood soup from here, and I guess the covid situation has really affected this place because the quality of the food is just unacceptable. I waited 1 hr for an order of the seafood soup and after it arrived to the house it was not only cold but the seafood itself was rotten. I tried contacting the restaurant about this matter and was given very little to explain as to why this happened. I just dont understand why a restaurant would be willing to serve rotten and undertandard food. Will not be coming back here after years of being a customer due to the lack of quality and customer satisfaction.
I cant believe Ricos Chicken doesnt accept credit/debit cards even though they offer online and phone deliveries. Theres no sign stating they dont accept card. How does a restaurant not take cards today?

If there ever was a good reason for going Flushing Hospital (not that the hospital is bad, but who would want to go to a hospital),. Their food is amazing. Ive never eaten anything there that I would say doesnt taste good. I highly recommend their food. Try anything on the menu and I guarantee you will like it.
A decent Colombian luncheonette type restaurant. Its across the street from Flushing Hospital Medical Center and worth trying if youre visiting a patient, etc. I had the Colombian Typical Platter and it was plenty big; probably enough for two people as it is made up of: skirt steak, pork crackling, a fried egg, rice, avocado, sausage, beans, fried banana and a corn patty. 4 stars when compared to hospital food.
This place is great. They make good rotisery chicken while having a good selection of spanish food. I like them empanadas they sell. I for one love that green spicy sause as well as the red. Makes me always choose one of each with my food. This place will be one of the best quick fix for food around the area. Plus its near the hospital.
Been eating here for at least 3 years. I have never been disappointed with the food here . My favorite is the picada. Also you could never go wrong with any of the chicken combos. Today I ordered the Rico Rico combo, which is enough food for 4 and one of my favorite soups the Sancho de gallina. Everything was so delicious. Food is always fresh and hot. This is a great place for take out, and I say takeout because I find the place to be too small to eat in. As long as the food stays the same I will remain their loyal customer.
The best fried red snapper in Queens! Definitely a must have. And its a huge fish good for two!
Ive order for delivery from many places like this so I kinda knew what to expect but I was very surprised with just how much better the food was here. The chicharrons were so good. Plenty of pork on them and perfectly crispy skin. Also, the steak was so good and cooked great. It really was delicious. The chorizo was large and flavorful. The corn cake was grilled and great to dip in the green sauce which comes with the meal. This is definitely where Im gonna get Columbian food from now on. This place is great!
Ricos hands down has the best empanadas!! I found this place almost by accident, thinking that their pollo a la brasa meant they were a Peruvian restaurant. But, to my surprise they are a very nice Colombian restaurant, with a very nice inner decor that is hidden and tucked away in a small neighborhood in Flushing. They have bold flavors, and great prices! I will be coming here for years to come! The secret is out!
Fresh food and good portions for a low price.
Great little neighborhood spot 15 mins from my apartment. Love the whole rotisserie chicken combo. The empanadas are yummy too, and the beans are so delicious & flavorful. Service is pretty quick but its best to call ahead if you are not dining in because parking is a nightmare. They are located across from Flushing Hospital and the streets dont accommodate parking. However if you arent driving there are buses that stop on the corner across the street too - #greedyfaceclan approved
The truth is that the employees are very rude, I asked him if he would please give me extra chicken, it didnt matter how much more he charged me.he did not want that girl had a horrible attitude I think they should be nicer
Food and service is good but the parking in the back left a nasty taste. Got there at 10am parked the car myself, left at 12pm got into my car and drove off by myself. The valet guy said to park in the lot was $2.. called the restaurant, spoke to the manager and he said it is tip and there is a sign outside. The last time I checked TIPS and CHARGE had two different meanings. TIPS: To Insure Proper Service. So, if there was no service why do I need to Tip?
Really good food with a decent price. Standard colombian/south american chicken type of place with rotisserie style chicken. They also empanadas of different kinds including vegetarian, fish, pork and seafood dishes. They do deliver and use grubhub as well so you can get it delivered to you. They are opened pretty late which is nice.

AWESOME empanadas and great friendly service. My only two MINOR gripes that are withholding the 5th star are.....No red (pico de gallo type) hot sauce as I prefer that over the verde sauce (not so hot) you have. My other minor gripe is ......no Arepas. I LOVE arepas - especially the queso kind and it sucks having to go all the way to Corona/Jackson Hts to get some.The fried plantain/banana with the cheese in the middle are GREAT too!!!
There food is good I have no complaintsThe only thing is that this restaurant is really small and tight inside. But other than that its worth trying especially if your going to flushing hospital, its convenient, right across the street.
I recently moved into the neighborhood and I found this little restaurant by flushing hospital. It has the best rotiserrie chicken I have ever tasted their white meat is so juicy and their special green sauce is sooo good!!! Since their prices are so reasonable I have made it my mission to taste every single one of their platters the bandeja paisa has a taste of everything the steaks are so juicy yummm oh and the empanadas what a treat!!! I can honestly say I cant choose a favorite, everything tastes incredible. You Rock Ricos keep up the good work!
Rude staff and my simple order took more than 40 minutes. Waiter kept telling me that my food was a about to come out which was a lie, only when I got up to leave and just pay for my drink they rushed to get my order ready. Would not recommend at all.
Great place, I always get their Personal 1 or Personal 2 (which is the same thing but has less chicken). You get a full or half chicken with salad, rice (yellow or white), beans and their hot green sauce which is amazing on the rice and chicken. Also their chicken empanadas are A+. Nothing is too expensive, and they are quick. Try this place out!

I ordered empanadas and they were terrible; salty, oily, and even burned and the hot sauce it’s not even close to a Colombian spicy.

I ordered grilled chicken and ripeThe one that comes with salchipapas, salad and beans.They sent me all the burned chicken and the ripe ones were also burned, the rice tasted like old-fashioned volas.The truth is that I dont know what happened to this restaurant, the food is no longer the same, the service was very bad, the food was very good before. They take a long time to deliver it, they say it takes 45 minutes and it takes much longer.Ami I really liked their food ...
Customer service is getting terrible I call to place an order and they leave me waiting for up to 10 minutes with no answer one hangs up and tries to call and they wont even answer the phone if they are busy just say it is totally understandable but do not lose them the time to one putting it on hold waiting to never be served 🤬

The best Colombian food of all Queens, beans are the most delicious are the same as those you eat in Colombia, very good seasoning, good prices. Every day they have a dish of the day and also a la carte

2022-02-09Their chicken empanadas are the best Ive had in my life! Some places use plain rotisserie chicken with no spices. However, this place perfectly seasons and spices the chicken and stuffs the empanada well. And the green sauce is amazing too. Highly recommend

2021-12-12I’ve only tried the empanadas here and they are delicious!! Quick and convenient food the chicken one is my favorite it’s huge and stuffed with a lot of rotisserie chicken! The green hot sauce can be improved though it’s a bit too salty they should make it with no salt. But otherwise great to go snack!

2021-06-21We ordered a big meal with chicken rice and a salad. My daughter bit into the salad and bit into a crunchy bug with a bitter taste. She spit the bug out and saw it looked like a stink bug or roach. We all couldnt eat another bite after that.We then called the store and the owner offered us another salad. Yeah no thanks!!!! not even a refund was offered.Glad I ordered on Uber to dispute the charge, not very friendly on the phone either. I wont disgust you with the photo.
