We only spent the day here, so cannot attest to the accommodations but they seemed very nice and lively. We ended up parking here so we could check out the mountain bike trails that go around the property. While we were riding, we got a flat tire and came back to where we parked. The manager and owner of the place were kind enough to find us a tire pump so we could fix our issues and continue our ride. Afterwards we went up to their outdoor Biergarden and enjoyed some delicious German beer and a braut.The location is really neat - they have a waterfall you can walk to where you can swim underneath it. They have pools, tennis courts, soccer fields, and a driving range. Really gives you a feel of what the Catskills were like during the golden age of resort living. We would love to come back and actually stay here sometime.
I frequent Riedlbauers Resort/Nussys Bier Garten regulary on and off season. The staff is accommodating and welcoming as opposed to every establishment within New York City. And once you become a regular here, you are treated as family.
This is an awesome place to stay in the winter or summer. They have a great indoor restaurant/bar/pool. The only thing that could improve are the beds. You might want to bring your own pillow/blankets. Its not exactly the Plaza Hotel. I still give this place 5 stars though all things considered.
Really intimate, good german food, quiet and fun... the room was immaculate and very comfortable, the grounds are kept beautifully.John 3:16
A great little resort. The experience is always fun. With an indoor and outdoor pool, along as hot tubs you have multiple swimming options. They also have a tennis court for use. Theres a golf range as well. They have cute little trails which you can walk, and an adorable pond with two giant goldfish. The game room is also fun. They have something for people of all ages. The rooms are very nice. Overall its a great place with cute accents as well!
A unique and amazing little place. At first I felt like I walked into a National Lampoons movie but it was even better. The entertainment and food were amazing. The place has been around for a long time so the rooms were not new and fancy but the accommodations were pleasant. The walls are a little thin, so if your a light sleeper be warned. I love this place and cant wait to go back.
We love to come here for the authentic German music and food. Also love when they have the dancers put on a show. The young children doing the German dancing is especially lovely. A lovely family owned German resort in the beautiful Catskills in Greene County. Worth the trip!
Went there for a tribute band show & it was a nice rural setting . The food & beverage selections were descent as well .
Just spent a few days with the family. This is a family-owned Resort. Guarantee you will meet the family because theyre working there making sure you have a great visit The place is beautiful, clean friendly the price is right. My wife and daughter didnt want to leave. Lots of things to see in the area and also lots of things to see at the resort.
Had a great time with family, everyone there is polite. We booked it for next year. I highly recommend this resort
Been to Riedlebauers since I was a kid. We started going in 1978. We’ve celebrated anniversaries, birthdays, family reunions & just family gatherings all at Riedlebauers. Anita & Peter will help you create a special event for your celebration! When I go in the summer I bring in some of the wonderful local agricultural produce just because it tastes so good!!!
Did a mtb race there and after I had a great lunch in there beer garden , had a pull pork sandwich which was verry good
The ultimate reasonably priced Resort in the Catskills reasonably priced resort in the Catskills. A must stop for anyone and family. three delicious meal daily plus lodging at a fair price. Your kids will be busy all day. Golf on top, nightly entertainment, 2 pools, hot tub, tennis, fishing, soccer, bike trails.. Etc
The place is immaculate, the service is warm and welcoming. Jordan and Joseph were a joy to have as our wait staff and it was easy to social distance, feel safe but still relax and have fun!
Very well kept grounds. Can see all activity areas from the pool deck (great for if one kid decides to play ball while others swim). Mountain bike trails on the resort property.
Fantastic place! What I loved most about it was the true retro atmosphere that this place has. Founded in the 1930s, in the heart of a Bavarian community in the Catskills, it feels like not much has changed. The location is not far from NYC, in the foot of the Catskills, with many paths and trails actually starting at the resort. Amenities include a tennis court, basketball court, indoor heated pool and jacuzzi, outdoor pool and a couple of children playground fixtures. There is a lot of grass and space to run around. In the main office building there a a few sitting rooms with a couple of fireplaces, some board games and a game room with fußball and pool tables. Service is fantastic. Staff is very friendly and casual, bar is lively and cheap. Food is traditional Bavarian, cheap, tasty and very hearty. Meal times are the same for everyone every day. A staff member will ring the bell throughout the resort and all guests will come and eat. Theres no choice of courses, but the food is heavy and fantastic (ex. half chicken roasted with mashed potatoes and apfeltorte with ice cream for dessert). Rooms are the only thing that could use a little bit of a facelift. Didnt feel like they were the cleanest or best kept, but also its a lot of rooms. Overall highly recommended!
Youre like a German kid and play land when youre at this place. Its like a bunch of Germans found this gorgeous spot in the Catskills , said I bet we could do a bunch of adventures in them there woods, and then stroll to the Beer Garden and drink and eat to hearts content... Lets build a resort! Really unique and fun mountain bike and hiking trails, a million secret little places to see waterfalls and nature at its best, and forget it, views you can find are some of the best in the Catskills.
Great authentic German Catskills NY resort. Beautiful campus style with main house with bar restaurant and indoor pool. Then there are multiple residential buildings onsite a very short walk from the main house. German music is piped through outdoor speakers all day. Each meal is announced with the ringing of a bell outside usually rung by an excited lucky kid who was awarded the task! The menu is family style with each night a different German meal. Nighttime activities are planned each night with bingo and weenie roasts being quite popular. This is a great spot for family to pour into in small to big groups and relax and enjoy!!
Family owned and run resort. Theres tons of activities throughout the whole week for both families and adults. The facilities are simple, but well maintained. There are tons of hiking and mountain biking paths going through the resort. Highly recommended!
I come here with my family and the family of one of our friends every year for their slachtfest and we love it every year, Ive been coming to this place at least once a year since I was a kid and love it every time, not the fanciest place and it definitely has ways where its rough around the edges but thats where it gets its character. Very comfortable place to stay and Id come more if I could.
As always, my recent stay at Riedelbauers Resort felt like staying with close friends. Anita, Peter, and the rest of the family are experts at keeping you feeling welcome and well fed. By the time you check out, you and your party will feel like youve been coming here for years. The Catskills family vacation experience that we all grew up with is alive and well at Riedelbauers!
Went there for a wedding and reception which was outdoors. The view was spectacular but the reception was outside and the was not enough outdoor heaters so we were all pretty cold my suggestion would be to have the ceremony outside for the view but hold the reception indoors so you dont freeze
Place was Amazing! Like Something out of a Classic Movie, You feel like you are staying in the Catskills during its Golden era ! This place is Magical!

Staff is great, very friendly and attentive. Food is amazing, everything is home cooked and family style. Very homey/ family oriented atmoshphere. Beautiful grounds. Bartenders are very friendly. Overall great service and experience
Great biking trails and well maintained. The resort has a eatery right at the trail head and constantly maintain their trail system, building new trails and updating old ones. Trail maps are up to date on Trailforks app.
I always enjoy spending time at Riedlbauers. Henry, Ursula, Peter, Anita and the staff always have made us feel at home for the last 38 years. Food is family style. It is a great place to be with the family.
Riedlbauers is certainly an interesting experience. Its a family owned resort that serves good meals and has plenty of attractions in and around the area. The indoor and outdoor pools and spa are quite nice and the bar in the main building is a fun spot that also includes games upstairs like pool and arcade games. Nussys Garden has quality beer and a variety of bar-games like Jenga and corn-hole during weekend celebrations. The rooms are pretty bare-minimum. They have heating and A/C with a shower/tub, sink, and electric outlets. There is also a TV in each room and a dresser. Not a 5-star hotel by any means, but much nicer than camping and even some motels Ive stayed at.
My first time back at Riedlbauers on labor day in over 25 years. Had the best time. .Food was fantastic, music, Saturday and Sunday night; and of course, anyone who knows Riedlbauers, the great, funny skits.
We sat in the beer garden and had a few authentic German beers. It had an enclosed pergola and the area was very nice. Staff was friendly too.
Been coming here for at least 38 years now. Such wonderful memories and such a great place to visit.
Riedelbaurs resort from beginning to end is a totally immersive authentic german experience. The food, the entertainment, the decor. All around an excellent choice if you are looking to give your family a trip down their cultural history.
This place was Amazing! Can not believe I did not know about it. It is like something out of a Movie! Went there to see a Pink Floyd cover band with Friends and loved the place!!!
Threw a birthday party here, and the staff was wonderful, the food was great, and they even had music for us. We really were very pleased with our experience.
We got married here this weekend and we cant say how much we appreciate everything the owners and staff did to make our weekend perfect!!! Old fashioned family resort with all the comforts of home especially the food!!
I headed to the resort for some mountain biking, so I didnt get to check out too much about the resort itself, but the staff was super friendly and helpful. Seems like a nice place to relax.

Nestled in the Catskills. Quite and relatively easy hiking trail as well as other things to do.
Not good for a group of youngsters. Youll be surrounded by families and wont able to enjoy yourself to the fullest. Rooms were average and neat.

2021-09-24Me and my family have been going here every summer for 4 years! We love it, there’s so much to do for the kids and the adults can just relax. From hiking to the waterfall to playing tennis to laying by the pool, there’s something for everyone. Everyone staying there gets to know each other too which is so nice. The food is also included and it’s always fun to see what authentic German food were going to get! The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly, especially Anita at the front desk, Heather the bartender and Jordyn the waitress. All three of them made our recent stay extra special and I can’t thank them enough! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay in the Catskills :)

2021-10-03I have been coming up here for 20 years with all my family and friends and we always have an amazing time. The food is great every time. Schlachfest is great. Heather is one of the bartenders and she is the sweetest, really amazing. The best time when you’re looking to party and enjoy yourself.

2021-09-13Riedlbauers offers clean rooms with friendly staff that makes you feel like you are part of the family. They have pools, playgrounds, a driving range and over 30 miles of hiking/biking trails. After a long day of hiking stop at the beer garden for a few German pints.

2020-08-25Super friendly staff. My parents took me here as a child and now Im taking my children. Tons to do. We swam, hiked, waded in the waterfalls, mountain biked, played tennis, bingo...Outstanding home style ethnic food. Great family experience. We love it and look forward to our next visit. If youre looking for the 5 star Waldorf experience this place is not for you. This is the perfect Catskill Mountains throw back retreat. It was the best medicine for our family.

2021-06-13Great spot in the Catskills to grab a beer and brats. There is a nice short hike by the parking lot also. They dont have a big selection of beer but they have a few solid German staples.
