Riesters was a pleasure to work with! Talking to Mike on the phone was a breeze, as he was super friendly and informative. After months of waiting for my warranty company to get back to me, I instead called them directly and got an appointment the following week. Jason came to my house and not only fixed my leaky fridge, but showed me just what was wrong and how to fix it myself the next time! He even gave me tips on what to do if my oven goes out! They truly went above and beyond my expectations and I would HIGHLY recommend these guys for any of your needs!
Terrible repair service. My husband called on a Tuesday and was told Thursday for the repair. On Wednesday he called to confirm the time and was told they never heard of him. Was told then they would order the necessary parts and would come the following Tuesday. Called Tuesday morning and we weren’t even on the schedule- squeezed us in but when the technician came - guess what- no parts. Scheduled to come back the following Tuesday (today). When tech no showed- Mickey the manager told my husband they were coming today but we were never getting service from them again. What service??? Total joke. They haven’t showed up still. It’s so hard to imagine that someone would flat out lie and tell you they were coming when they just weren’t. AND it was a warranty job- guaranteed money.Terrible sales too- bought a washer from them in October 2020. Specifically choose them over another company because they told us it would be 2 weeks. The other company said early December. Called every two weeks and got the run around. Washer was delivered just before Christmas.
Nate did an excellent job installing our new dishwasher. He put blankets down to protect our carpeting. He was very efficient and careful in handling the new appliance. He answered all our questions and demonstrated how to operate our new dishwasher. We give him an A+ for doing a fantastic job. Thank you Nate!
Jason came out and fixed my dishwasher, replaced the seals in my refrigerator, and gave me information on my double oven. He was so friendly and helpful with the questions I had and helped me with tips to keep all my appliances running efficiently. Thank you Jason! You are Awesome! We buy all our appliances from Riesters, mainly because they have such a great service department.
I would have given them 0 stars if possible. I bought a whirlpool dishwasher that had a problem. Here is a list....1.) They lost the e-mail from whirlpool2.) The tech came out was in a hurry but said he knew the part at was needed. It would be available in a week.3.) After 3 weeks, I called and he never ordered the part.4.) After 6 weeks he said he would be here on Tuesday. After waiting 6 hours, I called and he just skipped our house.5.) He came the next day, looked at the dishwasher and said he ordered the wrong part and I should find someone else.He was the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with.
I just experienced the worst customer service in my adulthood.Called them for repair of a whirlpool dryer thats not producing heat. Guy comes in at 8:30 appearing disorganized and in a hurry. Within 2 minutes he says its a fuse that blew out goes to the car and brings a fuse and says its 10bucks and installing will cost approximately $200. After testing my fuse its good. He then tries testing other stuff....appearing to have no clue of what he was doing. He then says the dryer flooded which was not true and the thermostat was the problem. checks cost of new onewhich totalled to $280 plus installation. At that point I made my mind to just get a new one.My judgement is that the technician had no Idea and socks at his job. hates what he is doing. and was here just to get 90 bucks for diagnostics..I would not recommend them even to the worst of my enemy..May be there are other guys working for the same who are smart. I do t know. Just be careful when hiring them coz can be frustrating.
The burner on my stove wasnt working properly. They came over spent a few minutes and said they would order the part. Several weeks went by and i called because i hadnt heard from them. They said the part was not in yet. Called again in the next few weeks, same story. I called GE myself, and they told me that particular burner wasnt being made anymore and i could try to find one by calling warehouses and other dealers. I continued to call Reisters, and got the same story, the part wasnt in yet. After waiting several m,onths i gave up, started calling locally and found the part. It was just a matter of setting it on the stove. Now, 6 months later, they called and said the part was in. I explained that it took too long and gave up, they never quoted us a price for the part by the way. Sent us a bill for $85.00 . Ridiculous, terrible service, and will never use them again.
Has taken over two months and my dishwasher is still not fixed. Repair person has no idea what is going on and the service area is rude and unaccommodating. Stay away. Would give zero stars if I could.UPDATE: Service person came out again with another part and the dishwasher has gone through a complete cycle. Hopefully it will continue to work. Service area personnel who answer the phone and make appointments still need to improve how they treat and accommodate customers, especially ones who have waited 2 and a half months to have an appliance fixed.
Customer service at Riesters is awesome. Everyone is friendly, professional, and helpful. I count on them for excellent work and honest advice.My last interaction with Nate, one of Riesters service technicians, was as expected: Nate was responsive to my timing needs, communicated clearly, and took care of the repair promptly.
My washer broke down and Nate from Riesters came out and had it working within minutes. Although, I did not buy the washer through Riesters I learned that theres a lot to be said about customer service. This company cares about their customers. I will be purchasing future appliances from them with the piece of mind that they will take care of any issue that may arise.
We are very pleased with the service that we received at Reister’s Appliances!I made the initial call on one day and Nate came the next morning, at the time that I requested, and diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts we needed right then.They contacted us as soon as the parts came, and the next morning our clothes dryer was like new and working beautifully! Nate even cleaned out the inside with the vacuum cleaner!Nate had all the tools necessary with him to solve our problem!Yikes! The clothes dryer isn’t working...family coming for the summer.....Nate to the rescue!He was very thorough , very knowledgeable about the appliance, and always professional!If you need service on an appliance call Reister’s and ask for Nate!
Great service! Called and spoke with Brent in customer service regarding our oven not lighting. He was able to get a technician to come the same day. Jason arrived in the time frame provided. Awesome customer service! Would give 10 stars if I could. Thank you Riesers Appliance.
We called for help about our dryer, which was making a funny noise. The service technician, Nate, was prompt, clean, polite and explained everything in detail, answering all our questions. I am very pleased with Riesters and would definitely use their service department again, and would also buy from them again.
When the stove broke down, I expected I would be waiting awhile for it to be fixed. Called Riesters Appliances to set up an appointment. Called on a Monday, and they were there on Tuesday to do their evaluation. Better yet, not only did they have it evaluated on Tuesday, but they had it fixed the same day as well. Couldnt of asked for a better outcome. Thanks!
On Monday, April 23rd I stopped in the Auburn, NY store and explained I had a problem with my Maytag dishwasher. The plastic latch had broken. Right away they took all my information and we set up a time and day for a technician to come to my house for repairs. My appointment was for the following Wednesday, the 25th. I received the automated phone call on Tuesday confirming The technician would be at my house between 10 and 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Jason called when he was within five minutes from my house. He arrived at10:38 and replaced the latch handle in a matter of seconds. He also suggested I run the dishwasher and put vinegar in it instead of the soap to clean the gasgets and overall inside of the dishwasher to help keep everything clear. Jason was extremely helpful and professional. I would recommend Reisters without hesitation.
Our GE Monogram Refrigerator stopped working, Riesters was out here looking at it super fast. Turns out, it had failed in a way no one could fix, so GE offered us a new one at a reduced rate including delivery and installation. But. Their delivery company couldnt/wouldnt deliver and install - we are on a Firelane on a lake and even though concrete trucks can get to us, GEs delivery company refused. They found someone who would do it for - get ready for it $1000 which GE told us we would have to pay. So we called Riesters again and they brought us the fridge, installed it and took our old one away. All for a lot less that $1000.00. Our technician was Nate, he is terrific, very dedicated and smart.
Very pleased with the service I received. Called at 10:00 in the morning and spoke with Brian about my washer and dryer problems. He had a technician, Nate, at my house by 12:00. By 12:45 Nate had diagnosed the problem with both items and completed repairs. Will definitely be using them in the future.
Ordered a particular model GE refrigerator we wanted after doing some research and further talking with the owner about brand reliability/parts availability. It came a couple weeks later, Brian and Mark delivered, took the old one, all professionally handled without incident. The delivery guys were pleasant and helpful as were the sales staff. The GE is working well, has made it through the first week just fine.....
Would like to give no stars. Had a service appt made a week and a half after calling for an appt. That day I got a call that the tech was sick. Rescheduled for almost another week and half. They were able to move the date up by a few days. Got a call that day late morning saying they couldnt come as the tech was still on a job and would need to reschedule again. When asked why I couldnt have the original appt I was told completely booked and that came from the parts dept. Not service. When I explained the situation I was told I would get a return call in an hour. After 2 days and no call back I called and was scheduled another week and half off. So disappointed!!! I called another company and they were here in less than 48 hours and cancelled with reisters. They will not get my business again and cant believe people are treated this way! I dont usually do reviews but felt others needed to know.
Our washer suddenly had an error with it so our landlord told us to call reister. I called and scheduled an appointment for several days later. They showed and said they had to get another person to help them and would schedule an appointment that same day. Never called never showed up. I had to call them the day after and they barely knew what was going on. Had to schedule an appointment tomorrow much tk their convenience.
Much like Tim described...I just tried calling this morning to inquire about having a repair man come take a look at my washer. The gentleman who answered the phone was rude and short. I was disappointed that the repair men wont come look at our washer past 3:30 pm on weekdays when we literally live less than a mile away from the store. There was a complete unwillingness to try to find a day that would work...simply, Our repair men are done by 3:30. So much for customer service...
Linda Grome and I needed some assistance with some parts for her electric range .. the personable, knowledgeable sales person that helped us was SUPER! She and her husband have purchased every appliance from Riesters and been loyal customers for over 30 years.GREAT store ... GREAT people ♥️
STAY AWAY from this place. Horrendous service and telephone etiquette. Spent $25,000 on appliances and received awful service support. 3 times they cancelled the scheduled service appointment without notification. So I stayed home all day only to find out... when I called... that the appointment was cancelled because they didnt have other appointments in the area. The first visit was to identify the problem. The second was to install the circuit board that fixed the problem. The third was to determine why the freezer door will no longer freely slide and freezer frosts up. The problem with the freezer door was noticed the day after the circuit board was fixed as I prepared to re-populate it with product. This was a problem they created probably when they pulled the appliance out to service it or put it back in place. You would think Riesters would be utterly embarrassed and eager to rectify a problem they created. Nope. STAY AWAY.
Basically, Riesters does not stand behind what they sell once you have purchased from them. Their service is awful, and their sales focuses solely on selling you their most expensive equipment. Once that happens, do not expect satisfactory results if the appliances require service, even if the appliances are relatively new.
My name is Deborah Wright, the freezer in my refrigerator was not working properly , and I didnt know what to do , so I called Riesters Appliance in Auburn NY ...They sent Jason to my home and I was pleasantly surprised with his ability to diagnose the problem in a matter of minutes....while he was awaiting the parts to be delivered , my washer broke ... he then diagnosed that problem with the same expertise .. when the part was available , he was here and repaired it within 20 minutes... I am very happy with both jobs and definitely recommend Riesters for any and all a[ppliance purchases and or repairs !!!

2022-08-02We just had Jason out to repair our refrigerator and not only was he on time but his work was done efficiently and correctly. Better yet he was willing to allow me to watch and learn, as he went through his process. We thought the price was more than fair and he pointed out several things we could do to improve the normal wear and tear of our refrigerator. We fully intend to use Riester’s again (our washer is acting. Up) and hope we get Jason again.

2020-09-12Back in 2008, we came here to purchase a washer and dryer. We were just starting a new life and didnt have much money. We purchased a Reconditioned washer and dryer set. Today 9/12 2020, wejust ordered a new Amana Washing machine for the same price Best Buy has on sale only Riesters has them in stock. Great service, and prices.

2022-04-16Ive had Riesters Appliances repair man, Jason, to my house on two different occasion to work on my refrigerator. He works quickly and does a good job. Dont hesitate to call Riesters for repairs, even if you didnt buy the appliance from them.

2022-05-15This is why you buy local.I needed a fridge and decided to stop here. The employees were very knowledgeable about which brands were doing well these days on the quality front.. As a consumer, it seems this changes every few years and is hard to follow. You wont find that knowledge in a giant building.The model we wanted was only on the floor but they were ok selling that to us. They pointed out a tiny ding that I would have never noticed. Good luck getting an orange store to sell from the floor.Delivery was when they said it would be, but the door to my house was quite narrow and the fridge was an inch from scraping. Too risky, so they took their time and removed a complicated set of doors and drawers to get it inside (not to mention an equally complicated reassembly). The folks from a blue store would have rammed and ran: Sorry for the scratch, heres a phone number.If youre coming from the West and see a big orange sign, youve gone too far. Turn around, the place you want is on the right.

2022-07-15Needed an appliance repair so called this location. They typically service appliances regardless of purchase location, but will not at this point because I’m not an existing customer. That’s fine, and just insurers I won’t become a customer in the future either.

2021-11-03We had the pleasure of working with Jason with our fridge repair; he did a phenomenal job. The parts arrived quicker than expected, and Jason gave us tips on how to do without our appliance in the interim. On top of that, he informed us of other ways we can improve the longevity of all our appliances. We will most certainly spread the word about our positive experience.

2022-02-17Could not be happier with the service on my dryer. Had planned on buying a new dryer until they informed me it would be a simple fix. Within 2 days I have a dryer fixed that is just like brand new. Thank you very much!!!

He promptly repaired the stove and offered advice on other appliances we have. We will definitely go to Riesters for our appliance needs in the future! Five stars for sure!

2022-03-29Having driven almost an hour round trip to find that they are not open, (they never updated with Google). I am very disappointed. I called first, it would be reasonable to update your message with a notice of a recent and temporary change in hours. Amazon has my parts, thanks for playing.
