A warm welcome is always given as soon as I come in from a hard day of work and college. Ethan is a fighter and friend, and was the first person to teach me how to wrap my hands. I look up to him with great respect. Kit is as well a fighter and friend, taught me how to open up more to this family oriented atmosphere, someone who I respect highly as well. The trainers Eric and Tom continue to teach me discipline in not only martial arts, but in life as well. This gym is the best place you can be, its disneyworld , but they can punch you in the face if you dont pay attention.
This place is awesome!!! Me and my girlfriend got a 10 class trial and we loved it. Unfortunately, due to me opening a business I wasnt able to fit going here into my schedule but I will definitely sign up in the future!!! The last class I went to I ended up training with the instructor and it was honestly one of the most intense training sessions Ive ever had. This place is definitely where you should go if you want to get fit. Staff is awesome and everyone encourages you to push yourself harder which is great
If you wanna learn some pure Muay Thai and kickboxing, try here. If you wanna loss weight and stay healthy, try here. If you wanna be fit and strong, try here. Eric Ruiz is an very experienced, knowledgeable trainer and a former pro Muay Thai fighter. The gym has many awesome fighters and champions that you will be training with.
By far the best gym I have ever attended - The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable; Whether you’re looking to learn a bit of self defense, compete, or just get into shape, Ringsport provides a variety of classes to meet your needs and helps you achieve your overall goals.
Muay Thai is an extremely challenging, and rewarding workout. For those who are interested in upping their cardio, learning how to handle themselves better on the street, or even looking to compete in the ring; all can be accomplished here at RingSport. I personally never sweat as much as when Im training, and I always feel amazing walking out.The gym is downstairs, and gives you a real underground fighting feel; while at the same-time has a laid back homely feeling. There is a beautiful mural on the back wall, and the gym is well equipped with bags, and gear. The owner Eric has had all of it imported from Thailand to give the gym an authentic feel; while providing its members with the very best in equipment.Ive been training with Eric for a couple of years now; so naturally when he said he was opening his own gym I was going to follow. Originally an instructor from QueensMMA Eric is a lifelong practitioner of Muay Thai, and a former competitor himself; he is well experienced in the art, and a great instructor. What I like about his style is hell go through the full movement of a technique with you; breaking it down by each individual movement; rather than just saying punch with your right, fully extend your arm he goes into the nuance of the motion, and explains why its important. Many of the members here have also been training with Eric for awhile. They are all friendly, and very willing to help new students find their foundation. Muay Thai gyms can be intimidating for first timers, and sad to say a lot of other gyms have members who are more interested in showing off their skills than they are in building up new members to a fighting level.Speaking of fighting level, Eric has two successful pupils training at this gym. Each is ring proven, and for those wishing to enter the ring themselves; Eric is more than accommodating and will provide guidance along with training so that you may one day enter the ring yourself. He often opens the gym early, and stays a little late so that members can feel free to show up, hit bags, jump rope, or workout how they want until class starts. The Muay Thai classes are generally broken into three segments; A roughly 15min warm-up, some stretching, and then partner drills. Youll be paired with another member and the two of you will take turns holding pads for each other, and running through drills demonstrated by Eric. There is a lot of commendatory in the gym, and all members are looking to help build you up as we understand its also in our best interest. The level II classes are sparring, and grappling oriented. It may not be for your first time, but stick with the program for a couple of weeks, and youll be eager to push yourself, test your new strength and limits against the other members; dont worry theyll all go easy on you the first time.Parking is on the street, and free after 7pm. Ive never had issues getting parking at night as the block seems to empty out before class starts. This is a huge plus for me. If you live in or around whitestone I highly recommend checking this gym out.
I always wanted to learn authentic Muay Thai but I was apprehensive since I didnt know what to expect. Can I hang with the class if Im out of shape? Will I get beat up? Will people size me up because Im a noob? Its not like that all. Everybody at Ringsport that I partnered up with was courteous, patient, and friendly. The instructors, fighters, and their senior students are approachable, non-judgemental, and ego-free. Not only do I get a good workout but Im constantly learning something new about Muay Thai and striking overall. I highly recommend Ringsport!

2022-07-03This is the first Muay Thai that I have ever been to and as of now I have been going for several months. Clean facility, great people, great classes.Edit: There is a high level of care and attention to detail in how the classes are taught. Good form makes great fighters. I can’t count the amount of small tips that have helped me tremendously. If you want to get better at Muay thai, this is the gym for you!

2021-07-23Great gym! The coaches focus on proper technique and fitness. My favorite part is the close attention to detail they take. There are sanitizing stations at each heavy bag and the staff take time to sanitize the entire mat between classes.

2019-02-26I looked all around queens for a Muay Thai gym and I was hesitant about joining any of them because I had zero experience in combat sports until I found Ring Sport Muay Thai. I started with their awesome 3 class trial and gloves for only $20! Nothing beats that. After the trial I knew this is what I was looking for. The staff and Coach Eric are welcoming and professional. If you are looking to shed some pounds or learn a serious form of stand up fighting I highly recommend Ring Sport. Their classes range from beginner to intermediate. The students/fighters are friendly and helpful. The gym is clean and they have more than enough equipment!

The gym is well maintained and clean. The head instructor is one of the best in the area. He has coached me since my first fight and our fight team has achieved multiple title wins.
