It was a cold and windy day in midtown as I walked crosstown from my office in Hudson Yards 20 minutes to RISE only to arrive and be turned away.I was prepared with my ID, Medical Card, and recommendation paperwork. The place was empty with the exception of the lady in the COVId fishbowl and the guy.I’m in my early 50s, dressed sharp, and knew exactly what I wanted . The guy greeted me nervously and asked if I was here for a pick up. “No, I’d like to make a new order,” I replied. “Are you an existing patient?,” asked the guy. “No, I’m a new patient, I responded”. “Well, I’m sorry but we require a pharmacist consultation and he’s not here today,” replied the guy. He also babbled about only doing online orders to not have a crowded waiting room. Didn’t say that anywhere on the website and the waiting room was empty. Then he tried to offer me a business card. I declined.As I walked back to my job in the freezing cold, I grew more and more annoyed/angry at how smug and uninterested in even explaining the situation. It was a big waste of time. If you’re in a business that requires a pharmacist to be present, have a pharmacist there during business hours. Especially, when you’re charging up to $130 for a vape cartridge. How can this place compete with the entrepreneurs in the black market?
FP Wellness, now RISE, is by far the best dispensary I have been a customer of in NYC since 2018. I tried multiple others, some of which were also good, some of which were not good at all, but they are the best. I go to RISE for my medical needs and the staff is very knowledgeable on the product offerings based around my diagnosis and symptoms. They have very good medical expertise and strong customer service. They were also fantastic at communicating with my Doctors and always have my preferred products in stock which help me function day to day.I know the reviewer below is a “city guide” but TBH, I am also very familiar with the other NY dispensary they note. I went there many times while working in Los Angeles (that dispensary started there) as well as here in NYC. While the staff is very nice I felt they didn’t have the expertise and knowledge you need when seeking a medical dispensary. I feel they also do a good job but for the above medical needs RISE is the smarter choice.
The females in the front who answer phones are rude and insensitive af.. If you’re mentally ill don’t expect them to pretend they care although you spend more money here compared to other Dispensary’s in NYC…The attitude is extremely triggering if you have ptsd. For example, last year the attitude scared me away and this year was the same sadly except I only came here because my usual Dispensary is under construction! I will say the female manager/male bud-tenders at this rise Dispensary are much nicer, patient, and understanding. Defiantly ask to speak to a manager instead! The manager reached out after my first and recent concern so I really appreciate that, unlike their co workers in the front…on the clock…Some people shouldn’t work in an environment that requires sympathy. I’m an empath and appreciate customer service especially while spending hard earned money during a pandemic.Lastly, if you’re elderly be prepared to stand outside in the cold while the rude desk ladies stare at a line of confused customers who ordered online. Won’t be back unless absolutely necessary! Not worth the 1 hour travel time if customer service cannot be improved by the few bad apples.

Great dispensary. Friendly staff and nice clean official looking space! Its easy to buy, pre order online after a consultation and just go in and pick it up. You can your cart while youre there if necessary if you want to add or subtract items
I couldnt ask for a better first time experience than I had with FP. Even though I had spoken to pharmacists at other dispensaries, they would not let me make a purchase until I spoke to their pharmacist Mark, who ended up giving me almost the complete opposite advice that I expected and I am quite thankful for that. and he has a wealth of knowledge and patience. Charlene who typically answers the phones and greets you when you walk in, is a bundle of positive energy and is also pretty knowledgeable and very customer service focused. Adriana was also very pleasant to deal with and knowledgeable as wellI will be back to update my review after trying out their product, but based on their customer service alone, they merit 5 stars, it will just be an added bonus if the product works for me :)
RISE is the place to be! Not only do they have the most variety of products of any dispensary in NYC, but they really care about us! I really enjoy the energy in the shop, it’s a very boutique experience and they always have great music playing. Will definitely be making this my go-to spot.
This location is small and cozy. There are comfortable couches in the waiting room and the staff are all very friendly. I like the in depth 1 on 1 experience with the pharmacist. I was in complete privacy with the pharmacist which allowed me to open up about my medical problems without fear of someone eves dropping. The military discount is awesome. Overall, great experience.

What a gem!!!!! Everyone is super helpful, kind, patient, and informative. They are not looking to sell you something you dont actually need nor do they try to get you to purchase a more expensive option. The pharmacist listens very carefully to your symptoms, concerns, and preferences before making any recommendations. They are only interested in meeting your medical needs. And, they offer senior citizen discounts!
Firstly, I really hate giving bad reviews. In a way 2 stars is an inaccurate because I have not received any service. Really it’s zero stars, but I give two as benefit of the doubt. AlSo because I hate doing bad reviews, so I’m mellowing it out a little bit.I have contacted them two days ago to set up an appointment. I placed an order and I asked them to confirm. nothing came via email, phone call or text even though I left all the information So this morning I was on my way to show up for an appointment that I assumed was honored. Just to remind you - We are in May 2020 so commuting is a challenge. So is planning, getting cash, etc.Once I showed up at the location they notified me that they were not ready to see me that I should instead use a certain email address to set up a phone appointment prior to coming in person. That information was not on the website. I asked to have a phone conversation right then and there since I was already at the location and I could easily use my phone as could the Doctor Who would interview me. I was denied that option. I explained the hardship of arranging multiple trips and the young lady informed me that she has to make trips twice a week in order to work which was totally beside the point. I appreciate the social workers’ work so this is not about diminishing the effort of people putting into showing up at work but it really had nothing to do with asking patients to make multiple trips because of unclear information and lack of flexibility.I regret to cross off this dispensary of the list of places I’ll Ever visit again.
These guys and gals are super professional, caring, and accommodating. The pharmacist was knowledgeable and thorough, and the rest of the staff was great. Perfect for a first timer or for anyone who really wants to understand the nuances of medical cannabis. Five Stars!
I got quite a lot out of the consultation at Fp Wellness. The conversation helped me understand more about the vapes and chews and helped redirect me to what would be most effective for my needs. Comfortable conversation with a knowledgeable team. I will be back!

From the receptionist to the pharmacist to the dispenser all world class service..the environment and details from each to make the process so smooth. They each explained every option and gave detailed information on the difference levels and benefits... I will recommend them highly.
I really liked the customer service of this place. Its a shame that they still only have online ordering available with pick up. Its a bit inconvenient. Especially since Medmen is up the street selling the same products and open to the public.
New York has come a long way regarding medical marijuana.I can say wholeheartedly that this is the best medical marijuana dispensary in New York City. The level of patient care I received was unlike any other I’ve received at any other cannabis dispensary. The entire dispensary staff is knowledgeable and well versed in the broad array of medical marijuana products I use. The Pharmacist Mark is a Wizard regarding cannabis. He was patient with me and really helped me feel confident in my cannabis purchase.I will say the number of tinctures, cartridges, vape pens, pills and powders available can be intimidating but FP Wellness did an amazing job ensuring I received the best patient care.You guys are the absolute best.Thank you.

My cousin recommended this dispensary and I was very pleased with my visit. I was in need of cannabis derived CBD. During my consultation with the pharmacist I learned how THC and CBD work together. I am not cannabis naïve. I smoke a bit of weed in college so it was suggested that I couple CBD and THC for something called an entourage effect.Prior to visiting FP Wellness I trialed several other medical marijuana dispensaries in the NYC area. They were helpful in their consultation, but I found the cannabis products I purchased lacking in my desired effect.At FP Wellness I was recommend to try their Restore Vape Pen which is a 5:1. The Restore as been working with my sleep disorder and chronic pain greatly.I can say with confidence this is the best dispensary Ive visited in New York City.

Was not seven grams... Smoked 2 small spliffs mostly tobacco. No way I used 2grams feeling scammed. Was supposed to be a quarter. They reassured me it was. Went home not the case. Lesson learned.Ps. The owner asked me to contact them. They never got back to me. Double bad business.

The pharmacists are knowledgeable and answered all of my very specific questions 😅 I received information on all the products I bought, and a helpful review during purchase. Speaking of the purchase, first time patients get a discount. They have an atm on site if you forget to get cash beforehand! Overall, I’m super happy with my experience and highly recommend 💜

2022-05-26I personally love Rise because of the convivence but the front desk female on 5/26 at around 1:30ish was horrid . She was super rude and ill mannered, I shouldnt be treated with such an attitude . All i did was walk in and ask her person a question while picking up my prescriptions .Besides her (the face of your establishment , its a lovely place .

2022-06-25GO TO MEDMEN INSTEADStaff is comprised of lazy jerks. Have tried going twice and both times they have said they are understaffed and can’t accept my order. The first time I arrived half an hour before closing, and the second time they said “we don’t accept walk-ins.” When I asked what that meant / if I could place an order online the staff told me I could not in an incredible hostile manner as if I was stupid for asking the question. I asked if she really meant that they just don’t take new patients and she said “that’s just what we call it here.”This information isn’t posted anywhere online or even on the door of the building. 2022-03-08One of the better dispensary’s in NY. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Placed my online order the day before but could not make it, they held it for me and even asked if I wanted to come later in the week, super compassionate. Felt cared for as a patient not a customer.
