Rite Aid in other cities:
Pharmacy response time is terrible. They take days to fill prescriptions. Most of the time you show up and your prescription isn’t ready. With 1 to 2 cars in the drive through you’re waiting 10 mins. After the 10 min wait they will most likely tell you to come back since they don’t have your order filled. I have never had this issue with Rite Aid at other locations. I don’t feel like driving out of town for prescriptions so i’m most likely switching to CVS since that’s the other major pharmacy in East Aurora. Hopefully CVS pharmacy’s department is managed better than Rite Aid.
The pharmacy is the ABSOLUTE WORST! I dont understand what the issue is, never had an issue with other pharmacies like I do at this one. Called my prescription in for Nov 3rd, nobody told me I needed approval from insurance finally when I called on the 8th to see what the hold up was, they told me it needed approval. My insurance company approved it 24 hours later on the 9th. Its now been almost a week, nobody has called and the script isnt filled! Tried calling 5x over the weekend and they pick up and hang up the phone when your waiting on hold! Figured Id wait and call back Monday. Well after sitting on hold for 10 minutes just waiting for a person to pick up, IT HAPPENS AGAIN!!! I have never had such a terrible experience, this place REALLY needs to get their act together, what an absolute MESS.
I received a text from Rite Aid yesterday morning that a prescription that the doctor had sent was ready. They gave me an option of paying for it at that time with my name and birthdate. I did that, presuming that I would have a specific place to pick it up because the paperwork had already been taken care of. I needed to go into the store for several items. To my surprise I had to get into a regular line to pick up the prescription. When you go to Rite Aid they’re pretty careful about waiting on the window that cars drive up to. I have never understood why they are more important. I waited for several minutes and was finally called to the register. She found my prescription and proceeded to ask for my date of birth and so on. I said I did this online. You have my date of birth and you have my money. Then she said well you have to talk to the pharmacist. So I disagreed that I did not need to because the prescription was at least 10 years old and had agreed with me all that time. She was very rude and basically said well if you want it you’ll have to wait to talk to the pharmacist. Proceeded once again to help at least two people at the window in their cars. She came back and I had probably already waited about eight minutes at that point and then the pharmacist proceeded to tell her oh you don’t I don’t have to talk to her. No apologies. And then she rolled the prescription up with her bare hands in a plastic bag. Also she did not have a face mask on. Thankfully I did. I have never had a bad experience at Rite Aid before but this person took her time about helping me. She was rude to me. And the option that I thought I had opted for to stay safe simply not done at all. Very disappointed with the Rite Aid in East Aurora.BTW I am 70 and did not appreciate the lack of safeguards by the person in the pharmacy register.
I have reached the end with Rite Aid in East Aurora, NY. Today I pulled into the pharmacy drive thru with 1 vehicle at the window. After 10 minutes I honked my horn. If I wasnt blocked with a car behind me I would have long ago went inside. It was just under 12 minutes as next in line to get to the window. There is no way a car should be at a drive thru window for 12 minutes. Either the prescription is ready or it is not. The person responsible for that drive thru service has no business being in a customer facing service roll.
Waited in drive thru for over 15 mins just to drop off a script. Went inside to pick up. Stood in line for another 15 minutes, after having surgery on my leg. When it was my turn at the counter the cashier, Anita, called up someone that was 2 people behind me in line becuz she knew them!! Then she was extremely rude to me!! I will be switching to CVS pharmacy today!
I love the East Aurora Rite-Aid. Employees are all great and friendly. Really good deals. I have been filling my scripts here for years, but Kenny, the pharmacist takes it up a notch. Helpful, friendly and professional. I have nothing but praise for the pharmacy operation. Store has been revamped and is always clean and product is faced. Only complaint is that when there is a boho or but 1 50% off second, often only one on shelf. But that is a minor issue. Overall outstanding.
Ive been getting both my husband and my scripts filled here for many years and have been pleased, but I have to say the service has gone down hill horribly , I was in the drive thru a few weeks ago and sat in my car for 12 minutes, rang the bell twice and never was acknowledged, so I get out of my car and go in there , there was one other customer in there, I go to the counter to get my script and because it is kind of pricey I asked the lady behind the counter if it would be cheaper to pay out of pocket, after rolling her eyes and acting like I was bothering her she tells me to go in the other line, so I do and was told it would be 12.00 more I tell the girl ok ill have to use my insurance again im told to go back in the other line, now keep in mind the other customer had been taken care of so I go back to the other line and stand there and wait and wait and wait for them to walk 4 feet over and cash me out. This whole ordeal of picking up the script took 45 minutes, needless to say I left there very agitated. Customer service was horrible ,,, So today I called the pharmacy to see if a script that was sent over by my doctor yesterday was ready yet and was told no, but she would let the pharmacist know I would like to pick up later and it would be ready by 4 , well guess what got to the drive thru at 5: 45 gave the lady at the window my name twice and she comes back and said they did not get it ready yet, but if I wanted to wait it would be about 20 - 30 minutes and thats exact,y what I wanted to do after working a 10 hour shift.. Im seriously considering switching to another pharmacy, There are few Rude nasty women there
Super slow pharmacy! I called scripts in 20 hours in advance and they were still not ready by 6 pm. and they acted surprised when I came to pick them up. I was told they would be ready by 10am! Even worse when I used the drive thru and they never have my debit card back and I went home to find it missing. They had it the entire time and didnt even have common decency to call me and say they had it!!! I had to call them and they acted as if this was no big deal!! Unreal the lack of customer service!
Went to drive thru to pick up script. Was 2nd in line for approx 20 minutes with no movement. Why would you let a car sit at the window for 20 minutes? Tell them to come back, or wait inside. I was stuck between the car ahead and behind and could not get out of line. Finally the car behind me got out of line, so I did as well. Went inside to wait even more. Finally left without my script, when I went outside the same car was still at window. Very inefficient. So frustrating.
This location has some very kind, caring employees in the pharmacy. They recently went way above and beyond to secure me my medication despite me being way out of network, and they absorbed the extra cost. I hope ppl will appreciate that when they are complaining about waiting 5 extra mins in the drive-thru. That extra attention may take up time but you will be thankful they operate this way when you are the one that needs that attention some day. Also, a drive-thru is a convenience, its not meant to imply you get your meds any faster, just that you dont have to get out of your car. If theres a mile long line inside, your going to wait either way. Why should they prioritize you because your at a different register? Get the text alert and dont show up til you know its ready, I always see ppl wasting thier time checking on things that arent ready. The wait times are 10X more customer related rather than service related. Keep up the great work in the pharmacy, and thank you for helping me out!
Whatever you use to describe slow, frozen molasses, glacier, etc., this place is slower. Your prescriptions are never, never ready when you are told. Calling ahead does nothing to improve the situation, except maybe giving you the opportunity to roam the store and shop while they try to remember to fill the prescription. After the proscribed shopping you have to get back in line to see if, maybe, they are ready this time. Yes, the employees apologize and are polite but the problem is never, ever fixed. Picking up prescriptions is painful. Just checking out can be better, but that is also often slow and cumbersome.
Ive come here multiple times for my medicine and they have failed to ever give it to me on time. I would have my script sent 5 hrs before Id even come to pick it up and they would always tell me to wait half hour or a hour its ridiculous. only employee that has helped me was Beth very sweet and wanting to help get it done. I advise you to not go here not great business
Extremely slow service inside or out! The drive thru is set up so there is not a lot of room. If more than three cars, the entire area gets jammed up. Apparently the people working the drive thru cannot multi task. There needs to be two people working, one at the drive thru and one at the counter. If they are unable to do this then the drive thru should be priority to prevent traffic jams and near accidents.
Was the only one in line at the pharmacy and it took almost ten minutes before anyone helped me one lady from the pharmacy was setting up a display in the front of the store walked right by didnt say a word when she came back asked her if anyone is working the pharmacy and finally someone asked if I needed help and said that they didnt see me seems like the place is going down hill with there service

2022-05-30Excellent pharmacy. They have improved. They were short staffed due to companies having stringent COVID-19 testing rules. Then they fit on board with vaccine mandates crime against humanity? According to science the mandates have damaged publics trust in medicine, science, vaccines .. . Yet the employees are excellent at Rite Aid now... They were behind schedule due to pandemic illnesses fears and staffing issues. Please everyone stop being rude complainers and give these hard working pharmacists and pharmacy staff the appreciation they deserve for working thru a difficult 2 years.

2021-11-23This place is the absolute worst!! When I was waiting for my prescriptions the pharmacist was pouring the medications into his hand with no gloves on contaminating them. He gave me the excuse that he uses hand sanitizer well in the 20 minutes I was sitting there waiting he did not! They gave me the wrong prescription, and it takes 2 weeks to get your prescriptions filled but then when you get there they don’t even have them ready. They are the most incompetent people I have ever met and very rude! If I could give them a zero I would.

2022-01-03Rite Aid has some very nice people working there and a great variety to shop from for a smaller size store! I have picked up some really good deals on items that Rite Aid sells! And a few great deals too!

2021-12-14My husband & I have been using this pharmacy for years & until recently they were decent. Currently just filled our last prescription as we have finally changed pharmacies. Can’t deal with the ineptness any longer when you are dealing with life saving medications. Last one took 3 weeks to refill a prescription. Called on thursday it wasn’t in stock, was told would be in stock friday now tuesday still no prescription. Constant follow ups, no answering of phones & huge delays are not what you expect out of a pharmacy. Do yourself a favor & go elsewhere!!

2021-11-02We used this pharmacy for years without issues. About six months ago we started having issues filling prescriptions. We got the text they were filled and then they werent even started. Staff has been VERY rude. Ive been told I cant wait for my meds because they are too busy to get to it today. This was four days after the refill was out in. This has happened on multiple occasions and nothing seems to be improving.

2021-11-06Absolutely terrible service in the pharmacy. You order a prescription and DAYS later it still is not filled, this happens EVERY time. Pulled up to the drive thru tonight and there were 3 cars ahead of us, it took 20 minutes for 1 car to leave, still had 2 cars in front of us and finally gave up and left. Going inside is not any faster. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, I am.

2021-09-15My last 2 prescriptions took over a day longer to have filled. I was emailed that it was ready on Tuesday at 1 and came to pick it up Wednesday at 4. It still was not ready and when I asked how long the wait would be I received a very rude response. I will be changing pharmacies.

2021-11-30Why the hell is there only one pharmacy technician on deck and a Dr that barely helps serve customers. I wait for 30 minute line I want to switch to cvs these waits are ridiculous for anyone that has a schedule. Update 11/18/21 30 minute line on average it took 10 minutes to get through a car. How is this acceptable? My father couldnt get his meds yesterday because you people refuse to hire more workers
