Rite Aid in other cities:
Janir J register 5, cashier number 41851872 was extremely rude with no customer service at all, she rang me while on her phone the entire time when I addressed the kind of behavior shown to me she had the audacity to go off on me. I will never visit this store again, mind you a CVS opened up recently right across the street form Rite Aid and I’ll be more than happy to visit at any time. Rite Aid can keep it’s horrible customer service and rudeness. It’s my money and I’ll take it elsewhere.
Can someone from corporate please come see how this store is being ran? The lines are always extremely long to the point that its probably quicker to walk down to the Duane Reade on 137th and back up versus subjecting yourself to the constant long lines. A beggar is always holding the door open and asking for change. I understand people need money in NYC but this is supposed to be a place of business, not an outreach organization for people needing spare change. Dont attempt to buy deodorant here unless you want an alarm to sound when you lift the plastic door to access the deodorant. Pharmacy is slow and they dont accept my insurance. I have never had a pleasant experience at this store. Always a headache but I shop there because it is convenient to my home. Worst Rite Aid I have ever been to.
Use to be a good spot, lines are always long, products mislabeled and packaged on shelves. Employees seem like they are all under the influence of some sort of drugs, and seem oblivious to the deteriorating conditions around them. I feel bad for the pharmacist’s because they are probably the only people in the building who hold a title higher than a GED. Cannot wait for the the CVS across the street. Your days are numbered, bye Felicia.
I was punched in the back by another customer at this location and when I asked the staff to do something/anything they refused saying what do you want us to do, were not security. then I called customer support and the girl said I would get a call tomorrow but when I asked what would happen she said she didnt know and hung up. Im just glad the cvs opened across the street so I dont need to ever step foot in this place again.
This business doesnt look like it cares or takes pride in what it does. Store shelves full of cheap junk and junk food, poorly maintained and worn looking throughout, water dripping from the ceiling for months, pan handlers harassing every patron that walks through the door... A great example of how to turn customers off of patronizing your business but unfortunately not atypical for the areas chain stores. Youre better off supporting and patronizing an actual local shop that cares, shows some pride in what they do and appreciates your business.
When visiting this establishment and walking through the first aid aisle, I often find myself pondering the severity of my debilitating addiction to pornographic images of amputees. Thank God this place doesnt sell those magazines. Whats wrong with me?! What am I doing with my life?!
YOU CAN FORGET ABOUT TRYING TO GET SOMETHING THAT IS BUY ONE GET ONE FREE BECAUSE THE FREE ONE IS NEVER THERE AND I THINK I HAVE A MILLION RAIN CHECKS SINCE I BEEN THERE THE MANAGERS ARE REALLY NASTY EXCEPT FOR A FEMALE MANGER WHO CARES THAT WORKS AT NIGHT BESIDES THAT GO TO THE ONE ON 125 STREET THEY HAVE EVERYTHING AND THEY ARE MORE RELIABLE.
This rite aid at the corner of Broadway it has years there and nothing changes rude employees as always that have zero patience, the sales in rite aid are super lame and I’m just glad they just made CVS right front of rite aid literally cross the street so yeah this rite aid to me is like so played out I’m over them.
This used to be my go-to drug store, but Ill go elsewhere now. Theyve put everything behind a lock and key, and I mean EVERYTHING. You cant even grab a $1 toothbrush without pressing a button for someone to come unlock it for you. You can press that button as many times as you want. No one will ever come to unlock the product. I think I pressed it 5 times before going to the front to ask for help. I understand needing to protect some products like over-the-counter medication, but this is excessive, and they dont have the staff to maintain it.UPDATE: The Regional Retail Leader reached out to me, with nothing but excuses. They have no plans to make shopping at Rite Aid a pleasant experience. Ill go to CVS across the street.

2022-04-14I have been shopping at this Riteaid 3539 Broadway, New York, NY 10031 for the last 13 years the vast majority of my visits to the store I have had a good experience with the people who serve at the cash register With the exception of the staff that works as security. I wonder if it is because I am part of the minorities and that makes me a possible robbery suspect, maybe that will be, they will say the excuse of the mask and everything that covid-19 has brought. I have lived this unpleasant experience long before everything related to what happens these days. On one occasion the same person who worked as security was posing as a customer as if he were buying something and touching the products close to me when I know he is watching me, you think I am stealing, call the police and check me out. In previous years I was in the line and I saw when another security personnel checked the pockets of 2 black children who did not have anything outrageous. It is obvious that security personnel are trained to use the profile even if they are part of it. I will buy in another place where I am respected as a human being and where my money has the same weight as the money of those who are not minorities Thanks Riteaid

2022-03-29This is a bad pharmacy. As a position of being a physician this should be taken quite seriously. I called in a time sensitive prescription for a patient they didn’t live up to any of their promises to call back and that the medication would it be availableI called to rectify this I was in met with a stone wall of poor communication and a lack of any acknowledgment of a serious deficiency for a health provider. They are not worthy stewards of you careCVS is right across the street. Look both ways.. cross the street…and be much safer

2022-07-12Would give zero stars if I could. This is a bad pharmacy. I’ve been picking up important medications here for the past few months and they’ve been late almost every single time. The people are incompetent and got quite rude when I expressed frustration over them not having my meds in stock one time, and them being late on each other occasion. Do yourself a favor and get your medications at a different pharmacy.

2022-02-02I recently discovered that I have to give myself a vitamin injection for a bit of time. I’ve never administered an injection for myself before and asked to have someone show me/talk me through the process. I was told to “look on YouTube”. I feel like the last thing someone in the pharmacy should do is tell someone who’s never given themselves an injection to simply look on YouTube

2022-01-10Ive been coming to this Rite Aid pharmacy for almost 15 years - but recently Ive noticed that the chubby Mexican dude behind the counter is quite rude. (my neighbor mentioned this as well) He needs to be given a lil pep talk on how to treat customers respectfully. Not fired - just a pep talk from the manager. Gracias a todos.

2022-04-11Website covid shot appointments are a joke. Im 80 years old and was only able to get one for my second booster when I said yes Im immunocompromised. They had no record of it and neither did I. They werent taking walk-ins so Id have to reschedule and come back. I finally decided to enough is enough. I wont go back for anything.

2021-01-04I am a longtime customer (out of necessity) and have to say that the overall look of the store, the customer service and insanely long lines all need major improvements. The staff are by far the worst issue though. They are rude, not at all helpful and make no attempts to hide their contempt for their jobs.
