We were hesitant about this place...doesnt look too good, looks like part is under some kind of renovation. They did have outdoor seating. As we looked around there were some odd but, cool features. Like the doors to outside seating were clear but, reminded me of garage doors. The have a traffic light hanging in the corner. I think it is in transition.The waitress was great. The food good.All and all it turned out to be a decent enough place and I would go back.
Wife ordered the seafood platter, it was cold and bland. I had chicken parm. Chicken was cooked excellent, not dry but so bland and flavorless. Place is nice and clean but when I comment on the food it was like I just I committed crime.Update:Without asking they removed 1 of the items from our bill and apologized.
This place has fresh fish (I was pleasantly surprised) and generous portions.Dont have the crab cakes (go to Maryland for that). Have the lemonade (delicious) and smile at the wait staff - they work hard to make you experience a pleasant one.Then take the Riverwalk. It is beautiful.

Ive only been here 1 time. Steak tid bits are delicious. Nice staff. A little expensive to be honest not what I was expecting for the atmosphere. Had several TVs. Clean, not to crowded. Ill be back!
Poor attitude of staff today cost the owners 6 customers and at least 100 bucks in sales if not more. I know the owner wasnt there because in todays environment nobody would toss a sale out. The floor of the table area had food on it but we let that go because it happens when kids are eating. The actual tables that were pushed together were unsteady and upon further inspection the tables were inadequatly fixed on the underside with duct tape. When we asked the staff to address the issue they attempted to use coasters to even out the table. It was the table tops that were unsteady. When we asked to move tables we were refused. The establishment wasnt all that busy at all so we were a bit taken back. Then the staff member told us not to lean on the table to tip it as we eat. Really? We left money for the one beer a member of the party started to drink and left. Other reviews made by members of our party were responded to in a curt manner and did not seem at all concerned at the safety issue of a loose table top. Hopefully an owner instead of a rude and very inhospitable hourly employee sees the manner of how their business is being run.
If you want a good meal this is the place. At Riverwalk there is no such thing as a small serving.
What a great place to eat! Its right across from the Riverhead walkway near the water. They have an open dining area that gives you a view of the people walking along the water. They also have a huge bar area with 2 TVs and plenty of seating. The food was great, I had a veggie burger and fries and the fries were the best I ever had, delicious! My mom had the coconut shrimp and sweet potatoes, yummy! Great service, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend! 👍
I posted about this restaurant. that was getting car jacked..Been trying to delete..Was at Riverside behind HYATT Hotel..I have been at Riverwalk many times..And EVERYTHING WAS VERY GOOD.. I am So SORRY..THAT I MIXED UP THE NAMES..BUT it was at RIVERSIDE!!!!Not River walk...The guy that took my car as waiting for my 87 year old mom to come to carGot fired...and not because of this...Even though this kid just took my car..If this ever happens to you at any place just call policeIve NEVER EVER had bad experience at Riverwalk..Everything was great atmosphere bartenders etc.My apologies to owners..Whom work so hardSincerely
Broken tables and filthy floors! The place was empty and the staff refused to let us move tables. Flat soda. They let a $200+ order walk right out on a slow Sunday. I left $10 on the broken table for my drink. Go find someplace else to eat.
The place looked closed but to my surprise when I walked up to the door it opened. Im glad I did. Food and service was great at reasonable price. The restroom was a bit interesting
Found this restaurant unexpectedly driving home it was out of the way from everywhere but the food was great such a different type of place serves all types of food. Service was great and nice atmosphere. Diffinatly would go back.
A hidden gem. Great food, great prices! I have been there 3 times and havent been disappointed yet. Cant wait to go back when the weather isnicer so I can really enjoy their outside dining overlooking the river.

We ordered from Riverwalk Bar & Grille for the first time through Door Dash delivery and we couldn’t be any happier with the food. We ordered the marinated steak tidbits, coconut shrimp, potato skins and onion rings and the flavor and portions were more than we could have expected! Will definitely be a regular from now on!
Went here after kayaking up the road. We were greeted right away and chose where we sat outside. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Its just the food wasnt that great in my opinion and over priced for the quality. My bf and his son got the same sandwich one was $14 and the other was $20; not sure why... I had a chicken sandwich and it was dry I barely ate it. The drinks were good I had a rum punch and the guys had beer. Overall a meh experience.
Overall great experience. Food was excellent and was reasonably priced. Our server was very attentive and accommodating for our young son. Manager/owner was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend
Tried this place twice both times not good, fries where soggy, burger was rare inside burnt on the outside, lettuce was old could tell by color and taste, the potatoes where hard not cooked enough. Thats just my view on it but il wait for someone that works there to respond and tell me im wrong

We sat at the bar, owner was bartending. He was very nice and I asked for suggestions on food got exactly what he said and I was definitely not disappointed. Held out on trying this place for a while because of how bad Joes garage was when it was in this building. If you havent been, you should try it.

I rarely write reviews but felt this place really deserves it.Mom wanted to try someplace new for Mothers Day so we stopped by here for lunch yesterday. Not many customers which was surprising considering the number of good reviews. And they were not lying. The food was excellent with large portions. We ordered the chicken tenders and a grilled chicken sandwich with a side of corn nuggets and onion rings. Everything tasted great especially the corn nuggets! Service was also good and very attentive. Not sure if it is family owned and run but our server was the chefs wife and her sister. We will definitely be back. We found a new place for lunch :-). If you are looking for it, the entrance is off the parking lot along the river behind Main Street. The building sits on the corner of Peconic Avenue and the parking lot.

There are 0 stars. This place was atrocious. Place was not clean. Manager was rude and nasty. Our table was broken and manager told us not to lean on the table and he refused to change out the tables. I was a party of 6. I will never recommend this place.

I went to eat on Tuesday night and the waitress took too long but too long to bring me the plate and I decided to leave, then the bartender or manager or whoever i dont know who I was followed me on the street and asked me to pay him 10 dollars when I never received In a plate of pasta that I had ordered, It never had arrived, thats why I left. Bad service and lousy bartender. Never would come back.
Summer is over and as locals we stopped in to check it out. The place was dead empty. The food was good. Although the Iced Tea was terrible, even after I put sweetener. I sent it back and had water. Service was attentive however a burger was ordered without the bun (gluten issues) however was still served on the bun. We were not really impressed.

I stopped in a quick bite to eat at 12:00 noon the day after Christmas, as you can see by my pictures that they just opened. You can also see my food looked fabulous and it tasted awesome. I give five stars to the gentleman behind the bar who operates this Eatery. Located in Riverhead hes doing a magnificent job there. There is plenty of space, there is outdoor seating, large bathrooms both handicap friendly, handicap parking right in front, friendly employees. a pool table, Quick Draw, arcade game, and they also host bands on weekends. This all makes this place which is opposite of a canal a great place for lunch with the family or friends and a great place to go after work or in the evening to listen to music, have a couple of drinks and enjoy their food and service. An average Joe review.
The food had no flavor,the waitress brought all of our food out at once even though we asked her for time in between appetizer and meal,plus she was not very friendly,not even a smile. No desire to return

Our party of 7 had a great experience at River Walk, which is located in the heart of Riverhead and overlooks the river. The food was delicious, particularly the mussels, steak tidbits and sandwich, chicken sandwiches, and baked clams. Michelle was a great hostess who purchased a birthday dessert cake from a local bakery for my wife after she heard we were at dinner to celebrate her birthday. Ive rarely - if ever - had such attentive, considerate, and personable customer service. We look forward to our next time at River Walk!
I got the Cowboy Burger and it was delicious!!! fresh and the fries were perfect!! Mozzarella sticks were so good I love the marinara sauce, and the atmosphere is soooo inviting and friendly! parking is right by and the owner is fantastic
This place is a great value for the money. The food is exceptional. While many places have a limited menu during the current pandemic situation, they offer a complete menu with specials. What a great place to eat.
Came on for lunch because I was looking for a burger and a beer. There Moon Burger was great, rare like I asked. John was a great server and bartender. Looks like a great place to be when the weather is good.Definitely coming back, close to the aquarium.
This place is awesome ...its like the coolest place to eat and have drinks. I really like the Gold 12 ft. Couches if you just want to have some drinks or whatever and the food and service are great. Good place for date night totally ! SMileE and GOD bless a Jack Daniels 😋 and coke 😁
Went for lunch with the family, food was really great! Got burgers which were cooked perfect and the fries were crunchy and tasty. Our server John was awesome and very attentive.

I eat in this great restaurant a lot! This is my favorite restaurant to dine. I go to this spot routinely. The food is of high quality, the team is courteous and the rates are affordable. I like eating in this spot to have a decent dinner.

Inexpensive and Good , excellent service. I had Poppers, salad and Cajan Mahi Mahi. All were fresh hot and delicious.
Great outdoor dining. Prompt service. Good selection of food. Would definitely go again.
John and Steve are wonderful, Megan and Nancy are terrific bartenders, make you feel at home. The food OMG is to die for :), especially the clams :). Will be ordering each time I go in there to try everything on the menu. Highly recommend and the food is out of this world :)

Chilly evening to be eating with every window open, the atmosphere definitely took away the dining experience having to bundle up to eat. In fairness, one waitress noticed us and other patrons were cold and made an attempt to start closing windows.
Great place for a good time. Bartender was attentive and helped us have a great night. She even asked if we had a DD to make sure we all got home safe. Awesome place!
Not sure who is writing these other reviews...food was barely edible and pricey. Service was very slow. They took over Joes Garage and did nothing to the decor which was super confusing. Will not be going back there and you shouldnt waste your money. Jerry and the Mermaid is much better.
Are there for my first time had the 12oz Shell Steak all I can say was WoW!!! Cooked perfectly I wanted another one lol!!! Look to go back!!

Took over the old Joes Garage, glad they had Guinness, had the fillet mignon, was delicious, keep it up, best of luck , riverhead could use a place like this.
Everything from their wings to their burgers and steaks, are to die for. Definitely recommend going there for a great meal!

2022-07-01The atmosphere is great with indoor and outdoor seating right by the water and parking! The waitress was so pretty and sweet, I think her name was Ashley. The food was even better with large portions. I had the lobster roll and we also ordered shrimp scampi and steaks. Everything was delicious and we had a great time. Highly recommend.

2021-06-28My wife and I were visiting from out of town on vacation and were on the hunt for seafood in the area, so we came here based on positive Google reviews, which in hindsight were shocking. We started off with coconut shrimp that was from the freezer section of any grocery store and served with a side of jarred mango chutney. Next were our entrees which consisted of completely frozen food other than a quartered lemon and the ketchup from the table. Beer battered Ore-Ida frozen french fries and the vegetable of the day was obviously a bag of frozen vegetables found at any Costco. But the worst part was the Blackened Mahi-Mahi with salsa. Not only was it dry frozen fish with no flavor, but it was served with not a fresh salsa on the side, but rather a jar of Mexican salsa poured on top of the fish. After one bite my wife sent it back and we went to another restaurant for her meal. If you want to spend $20 for a plate of frozen food, this is the place for you.

Well as you asked what was not so good ..1st of all I walked in and there was kids sleeping all over the seats then you were on your phone the whole time the food tasted like it was microwaved an not crunchy... The décor looked like someone just threw things here and there things didnt even fit like it was still Joes garage and someone threw stuff in there I was trying to be nice by saying not so good but now I explained it

2021-10-15Had dinner at the bar. Atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. I ordered wings and the marinated burger. Everything was excellent, the marinated burger was fantastic. Wings were big, juicy and crispy. Lovely family run business. Bartender was great, and friendly regulars with plenty of conversation. I was in the area for work, but would be a regular if I could!

2021-08-11Went in and the owner and his wife didn’t have staff but worked very hard to ensure their guests had a pleasant dining experience. Place was clean and spotless. Now the food, versatile and terrific. They have a good selection of appetizers, it was tough to make a decision. We ended up going with wings and poppers. Both were on point. Then to dinner, I got the burger, Cajun style. Burger was cooked perfect and it had a perfect kick. My wife had the seafood platter which looked like a decent portion and she said she enjoyed it. Lots of good eateries surrounding them, but their menu has more variety and flexibility than their competitors in the area. Check them out!!
