This review is for the indoor pool: My favorite swimming pool in NYC! Super decent price for an olympic size pool (50 meters config during lap swim hours; 25 yards during open swim hours) is always clean with the perfect temperature for laps. Changing room is huge and fairly clean. The showers are tricky as they are often too hot or too cold. Once you get the right temperature youll get a great shower with good pressure. The best part is the staff and the people here. They are always happy and talking to everyone.
I would have rated it 5 stars except if you have to lie on the grass, I thon,k they should take better care of the ground so its comfortable, including hiring an exterminator. There is everything from ants to dragonflies, bumblebees and other critters I cant identify.
There are racists staff and they wouldn’t let a child that’s gay has a big body can’t wear a shirt but people like there color can many was in the indoor pool that had a t shirt which is unfair for others they need to check that period !!!!and a light skin family came in thought that he was with them knowing he went in with me tho and they had friend standing out there and didn’t tell me anything at all that’s was the crazy of riverbank and I don’t recommend to go there because they steal things out of your locker don’t go!!!!

2021-06-17Nice place for a city person to relax. The views are great who’d know this park was created above a sewage treatment plant? The occasional odorous smell you’ll smell however isn’t too bad.

2020-03-12Went here with my friends and we had fun. We went to the outside pool. The workers are nice, the life gaurds were always around, bathrooms are clean. I would suggest that they get better curtains for the changing room. They arent wide enough, so you have to move extremely fast so no one accidentally sees you. Other than that a lovely place. You can use their lockers, but you must bring your own lock to use. I plan on going here again when the weather gets nice.

2020-06-25Ok so it was fun I wouldn’t lie but it was really crowded and dirty. Kids left their eye goggles in the pool and the other kids took them. The only reason i went there is because it wasn’t that far and because I didn’t know any other pool. I would recommend you not to go there please for your own sake I never had a warning but now you do.😢

2020-07-15**Review of pool during Covid-19**We went on a suggestion from a friend who had taken her kids to the pool the week before. She said that it was not crowded when they went. That was not our experience. I had read that NYC pools were limiting capacity to 25%. However, there must have been 40-50 ppl there. Kids were bumping into one another and there really was no way to keep a safe distance from others. In addition, masks are supposed to be worn on line and when not in the pool, but I saw many people without masks. I am glad that the pools are open for those that need somewhere to cool off, but for me, it’s just not worth the risk.

2017-07-20The park itself is beautiful, the scenery is amazing, however, the pool is absolutely filthy. The locker rooms had a nose burning scent of a mixture of bleach and urine and how crowded the pool(s) were, was outstanding. Some of the staff are friendly while others have a complete attitude towards simple questions. Would NOT reccomend coming here if you want to go to a pool that is clean and is large enough for you to swim around in, the size of the pool(s) do not accommodate how many people visit. I dont normally give reviews, but this pool was just so disgusting that I was practically forced to, heed my warning.

2017-07-20This state park is lovely but in all honesty, the indoor pool is disgusting. Aside from it being extremely crowded, the changing room smelled of pure urine, the floors were dirty, there was loose hair everywhere, and bandages hanging around. I kindly asked an employee to inform facilities of the smell and with an attitude and shoulder shrug I was told that there werent people to clean the shower area. For those who are concerned about cleanliness, I would NOT recommend this pool. I think I spent 15 minutes in there before leaving. The stench was an indication of what was to come and I was right.I do NOT recommend this pool at all.
