Stopped in while visiting from out of town. I was indecisive & just wanted something light, although they offered a decent selection of food & wide selection of craft beer. My server Morgan was very attentive & friendly. They had a patio but I opted to dine in the restaurant which seemed old, outdated and dark. Food was good though & it came out quickly.
Would have been wonderful if we had an attentive bartender. Unfortunately the focus was not at all on the 5 patrons. I had to repeat myself several times and she would walk away and not pay attention. Other than that, food and atmosphere was decent
We were debating between this restaurant and several other restaurants on the Block. I honestly wish that we chose a different restaurant. We Arrived at this restaurant shortly after getting off of the Uncle Sam boat tour. We were seated and given silverware and were then told we are out of menus and were prompted to look their menu up on our phone. No problem. I chose the soup of the night and the salad and my husband ordered the fish and chips. We waited atleast 25 minutes to be served our soup and my husbands side salad. However there were 3 other tables that were seated after us and all got their entrees and appetizers before us. The soup was horrible, very over seasoned; all I tasted was salt and black pepper. It took another 25 to 35 minutes for our entrees to be delivered to the table. I was to the point of about to get up and walk out when our food was finally brought to us. By this time I was starving. Because I couldnt eat the soup. I was presented a bowl of bacon! Yes there was salad under the bacon but there was enough bacon to cover atleast half the bowl. The server never checked in with us after bringing the entrees and didnt ask if we could use more drinks. I am being very generous with the 1 star because my husband said his fish was good. I can promise you that the next time I visit Alexandria Bay I will not be coming back here. Take your money to any of the other 8 restaurants on the block.
We stopped by to dine in on a Thursday night and asked to sit on the patio. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait. We elected to get carry-out. Another couple stopped in and were told it would be a long wait time. They left. Not five minutes later a table of four were seated on the patio. I guess staff have no problem lying to customers. This is not the way to treat your locals or any customer for that matter.
First time staying at Alexandria Bay. Last night we stopped down and got seated right away but the service was soooo slow. We waited to even be seen 15-20 minutes. Today we went expecting to get an appetizer and a drink. Several staff walked past us for a good 15minutes and wouldn’t even acknowledge we needed a table. We won’t be returning. Plenty of other friendly places nearby!
Ate on the restaurant side and dined on the deck. The service and food were both very good. The prices were very reasonable. Inside was very charming.

Considering it was the only restaurant in town able to take anyone due to staffing issues....they did well. The food was good the service excellent.

Went in right when it opened to get a quick drink. The atmosphere was a site to see with the boat as a bar and plenty of relics on the wall. The place itself is quite large with indoor restaurant seating and outdoor patio. They have lots of bands come in for the summer. Definitely worth a stop in. Staff were very nice as well.
We got seated - seat yourself and got menus which looked good. Then we sat and watched as everyone around was being waited on with no fewer than 3 waiters and hostess walk by our table, look at table without any recognition or hello. Finally we just left.

Dont waste your time or money. The service was incredibly slow, the food was only ok, and the bathroom was disgusting. Filthy, the toilet was overflowing, the floor was sticky. I tried to tell our server but she only came to our table 3 times in an almost 2 hour meal. So many great restaurants in Alex Bay..... This is not one of them.
Food was delicious. But, our server was very, very disrespectful. Very disrespectful when explaining why we earned a plate charge even though two people were sharing both of their meals with each other. If you go, pray you get a decent server.
Honestly not a bad place. I went there and it wasnt really too busy but still stood around waiting to be seated and the host just seemed weird. A guy fell down the stairs to the place and they really didnt do much to help either and the food was ok i guess. Solid 3 star.
My husband loved his seafood dish. I had the chicken parm. Didnt like all that much.The chicken was overcooked to a dark brown. Also looks like they just put one slice of provolone cheese ontop of chicken so cheese is pretty much melted into the overcooked chicken. Ordered garlic bread which was also overcooked, really hard and brown. So didnt eat it. Im only giving 3 stars because my husband liked his dish.
Please tell the chef to use salt. My shrimp scampi had enough garlic for two servings still needs salt.

Walk through the bar up to the restaurant. We had shrimp po-boy with chips and the mahi . Both plates were excellent. Generous portions, perfectly cooked and delicious. Fast, friendly service.
Absolutely the most fabulous bar in the country if not the world. Even the hand soap in the bathroom is fabulous!!!!

Amazing beer selection. Great service had a group of 5 and was able to handle us no problem. Seafood was great they know whats in season for sure.
The servers were friendly, the food was only so-so. The shrimp in our appetizer and entrees wasnt fresh. Ok for bar food, but not worth what we paid.
Place was filthy, cobwebs on the ceiling, parts of the ceiling was hanging, ceiling fans were dusty and bulbs were blown, food was warm when it got to our table, food was not worth the price, only seen our server 3 times.
Best buffalo chicken sandwich in the North Country. A must stop for dinner and drinks in Alex Bay.

2022-06-09One of my favorite places to go to in Alex bay.They have lots of different craft beers/sours.Burgers are fantastic-(My favourite is the Pb burger)Staff are always so helping and kindBig beautiful deck lover looking downtown Alex bay. 2022-06-11Rated good from the folks in town. Had the fish n chips portions were very large. Food came out hot and yummy. Prices were not to crazy for a tourist stop type town and resturant.Plenty to see and do in the area as well. Pretty cool place. Service was very good as well.

2021-05-29Just opened for the season. They are understaffed missing a hostess and busboy. Even with those setbacks they amazed us with their friendly service and stellar burgers. We are a family of seven with six separate orders. Every single burger was hand crafted perfection and can honestly recommend them all.Each of them were cooked to order with separate sides. The order was perfectly cooked to temperature and had a crafted appeal of a cook staff that genuinely cares about their products. Home crafted fries and chips are a nice touch.Thank you for the wonderful experience during a busy time.Highly encourage families to partake in the porch atmosphere and delicious food.

2021-07-24My boyfriend and I had a great time! We both had specials - seafood jerk Alfredo for him and stuffed shells with meatballs for me. The wait staff were super friendly and working very hard to make sure customers were taken care of. Great atmosphere, food, and service!

2021-09-04Waiter was slow, got drinks wrong twice, food was great but the waiter made rude comments towards my friends, manager did everything she could to defend him because he was a family friend. Two tables were served drinks, appetizers and dinner paid and left then the tables were then reseated before we got dinner for a table of three. Guess you should never cheat on the best back to Rileys we go
