Awesome experience! Great ciders (we tried 7 different ciders overall). Modern, hip interior, lots of entertainment, games etc. There was live music on Sunday afternoon too.Good variety of food, nice flat breads. There was even a lady making fresh guacamole (for chips).Definitely will come again, and with friends
Great place with lots of parking spaces, during covid 19 you may have to be waiting on a line for a while if you want a table. If you are OK with drink at the bar or outsideet them know and they will take you inside sooner. The tasting flight is a good deal 4 shots for $12.
June 18th, I attended the Fruit and Cider Tour. I was having a wonderful time. It was turned off to know that Riverhead Cider House does not cater to EVERYONE. The ciders were very tasty, the Rose’ was my favorite. The oversized pretzel was delicious. When it came to the music, I was a little disappointed at one point. They had a band that played top 20 pop hits, which was great!! Then when they took a break they played from a playlist , in which they NOTICEABLY skipped, Eve, Beyoncé and Sean Paul. I was insulted and so were the two other ladies on the tour, who were also enjoying themselves. Music is universal and should not be selected for a particular group.
This place is industrial but cozy if thats a thing. The staff are friendly and the drinks were really good. Definitely try the cider flights. We brought our children and they were family friendly (during the day). The food is pricey, the children loved the apple cider doughnuts and giant pretzels. Food is okay nothing over the top. The guacamole was tasty. The atmosphere is very relaxing. We had a really good time. We played uno and connect 4. They even have an outdoor patio area for when the weather permits.
First, the cider is great. We had the Blackberry Habanero and the Benjamins Best. Both were fresh, crisp, and refreshing. The bar was busy for a Thursday night, and looks fun with its dueling pianos, giant jenga and large format uno cards, and the outside is not open yet for the year. There is a table side guacamole cart that is only slightly out of place.About the cafe. :( Knowing our travel schedule, we made a point to CALL AHEAD about availability of the cafe after 8:30pm, when we expected to arrive. The charming man assured us the piano players left at 8:30, but the cafe was open until close. This is only part true, as the polite chef explained to us in person at 8:30 when we arrived: last orders for flat bread are at 8:15; the pizza ovens are turned off at 8:30; guacamole and hot pretzels stop at 8:45; cider stopped flowing at 9pm sharp, without announcement or last call. We WERE able to purchase items considered cafe that were in the refrigerator case. A selection of 3 wraps, an antipasto platter, and bags of cider donuts. We bought what we could.: A hot pretzel, a bag of 6 donuts, and a hummus/ vegetable wrap that was hours old and tasted like it was really carrots and a couple greens wrapped in soggy wheat paste. These three things totaled over $30 and not worth it.
If you love hard cider this is a must see. If you dont love hard cider, you should revisit that notion by visiting the Riverhead Ciderhouse. Besides having a wide variety of ciders to try, the Ciderhouse is a great place to hang out. The food is great and you can pick up some reasonably priced keepsakes from the gift shop along with bottles of their cider. They use NY apples, so youre supporting NY farmers, which is a plus in my book.
This place is awesome! Super chill atmosphere. Awesome staff, friendly and super helpful! They have giant Jenga, giant Connect 4, and giant Uno. We had so much fun, just hanging out and tasting great ciders. I loved every cider. Favorite was probably The Hoppening. This Florida girl is sad we dont have anything like this at home.
If you are in your 20s or 30s this is the place to because it can be very busy on the weekends and people are looking to enjoy there time here. Unfortunately I am a bit older and not really a cider drinker. The Ciderhouse is very big and open, but it can be very crowded. There is outdoor space too with seating and games including large Connect Four, Jenga and Cornhole. The food is pretty good, but all the food is pricey in my opinion.
We hear about this place on Facebook in our of the groups. It was awesome! We did beer flights and cider flights! The food options were great (chips guac pretzels salads sandwiches etc) The live music was awesome! The TVs and all the games were great! When we first arrived, the place was at capacity so they handed out water and pretzels while we waited, which was really considerate! I will definitely come back here!
Had a great experience here. I loved the vibes and fresh everything! The cider was delicious and reasonably priced for a tasting ($10 for 4). The food was great as well. Fresh ingredients made right in front of you. I had a flat bread pizza, a pretzel, and some guac and chips...all very yummy! You can play large sized uno, Jenga, and connect 4. I had so much fun. Great vibes with live, chill music. Will be coming again! Only feedback, its Soo hard to find a place to sit! Very packed but not too crazy like a Manhattan bar.
Loved, loved, loved this place. All the apple cider drinks were amazing, the crowed was awesome, definitely try the guacamole and chips. Very family friendly, good for groups small and large. I would definitely recommend if you are I. Town to stop in you will not be disappointed.
My husband and I stopped for pick-up today! We ordered online and, due to the recent Covid-19 closings, they were offering curbside pick-up. We recently started coming here and have not been disappointed! The vast selection, and sometimes seasonal rotation, of cider varieties available is a nice change from otherwise great and local wineries and breweries. We often like to drive out east and peruse wineries and the like, but cider has become a new favorite! Cinnamon Toast, Razzmatazz and PB&J are some of our absolute favorites. Thanks for providing a great customer service experience and delicious cider! Well definitely keep coming back for more. Pictured: 32 oz Crowlers aka cider growlers
Its a huge place. A nice variety of drinking options on tap. Not the cheapest btw and It gets very busy! So if your not into large crowds go early. We were there around noon on a Sunday and it already had a mostly full lot. The yellow jackets were an issue in the outdoor dining area so consider that in the fall months.
Came here for a bachelorette and fell in love! The space is amazing. It is open but allows for groups to gather at large tables or on couches. There was live music, a reasonably priced gift shop, so many drink options and a lot of food. The giant pretzels and cider donuts were delicious. There was also a woman making guacamole which is always a plus. I will definitely be coming back here in the fall!
Awesome place with a wide variety of beer and cider. They also make big tasty pretzels that come with cheese, brown mustard and regular yellow. The inside was huge and decorated very well. Spoke to the manager and he even gave me a free pint coupon so when Im back in town. Highly recommended to visit. Check it out for yourself!
Huge selection of cider which I love but a little sweeter than anticipated. Also the bees are rampant outside in the summer and my 4 year old sat on one so she had a crying fit and we had to clock out. Live music and ambiance were lovely though and hopefully one day we can go back .
Beautiful space indoor and outdoor patio combined with large variety of delicious ciders and some beers on tap makes this a go-to destination. Even have local wines on tap. Great relaxed place to meet up with friends and family. Literally has something for everyone. Ciders, food, local beers and wines even games...because of this can charge a premium. In this case well worth it. My only concern is that the bartender gets easily overwhelmed with customers at times. Please give a better discount on 64 oz growlers dont just double the price of your 32 oz crowlers.
Really nice place. Was there 2 weeks ago. Perfect for families, loved ones, young, old. Beautiful design inside and on grounds. They take social distancing to the next level. They offer amazing home made guacamole and make simple food choices delicious. great music , andthe cider ... well that’s delicious, lots of choices. Motorcycle friendly business, show them some love.
What a fun place to stop on the North Fork of Long Island. We stopped in for a quick drink and to pick up some cider to go. There was live music, comfortable outdoor seating, and the food looked great. Next time we will stay longer and definitely try one or two of the tasty looking food items we saw others enjoying.
Can’t say enough about how accommodating and relaxed they made us feel. My wife threw a surprise Birthday party for me in their private room and everything was great! My wife said John was a gem and the entire experience was great! From drinks to food and atmosphere and no rush! Highly recommend!!!
This is a nice place for family and friends. They usually have games for you to play but I didn’t see any this time. Prob because of sanitary reasons. They had a band playing music and the tables were well spaced out. The razzmatazz (raspberry cider) beer was delicious. I love the guac and chips there! It’s a nice place to get out to. Enjoy!
A great place to spend time with friends. Family friendly as well! We brought our 8 month old son with us. The staff and owner was extremely nice and helpful! They were very diligent with safety procedures and protocols. All of the cider was delicious and the food was good. I ordered a flight which consisted of 4 different ciders or beer or you could upgrade the tasting to include a choice of wine. I would highly recommend this place!!
If you’re a minority, don’t visit. The bartenders will completely ignore you. My friend and I waited at the front of the bar and every single bartender kept skipping us, even though we were in the front. They took the orders of ever single person BEHIND us and that came after. And after waiting 30 mins, they finally took our order and tried to rush us. Don’t come. The place is packed and there are other ciderhouses in the area that would deserve your support
A great place to spend time with friends, with good cider options. They dont have my favorite cider in NY, but their flavor options are decent and the food is good too. To me a lot of the flavors have similar base tastes, but thats not necessarily a bad thing since the base flavor is good. The outdoor seating is a great summer or fall option, parking is easy and its not an expensive day out unless you decide to drink a lot. Recommended!
Stopped by to check out the facility . Beautifully appointed gathering place , with a large area indoors to get together with friends and/or family .I didnt have any hard cider to drink as I was the designated driver . Retail area near the front of the site to purchase take home goodies and drinks and memorabilia . Staff is very professional and willing to assist you .
This place was excellent. All of the cider was delicious and the food was a great compliment as well. The indoor space was large and clean, and while the outdoor space was large enough as well it was completely infested with flies! After swatting at wasps and yellow jackets at other places all weekend I was happy to see this place had traps for those... But the flies were worse! Please get traps for flies too! Then it would be perfect.
Visited twice, once last year, once this past week. Brought my dog without a problem last May, no one said peep (the bartender said my dog was cute) and enjoyed food and drinks on the patio. It was great. This past weekend we were blocked at the door and told dogs have never been allowed and that we must have got past them last time. Im aware there are county food preparation/sanitation requirements but... every other brewery on the island has figured it out. There are plenty of other places to go, I suppose, so I wont be coming back unless they can change their policy.
I gave 3 stars as no option here to give 3 1/2. Went here on Rainy Thursday at noon, it was pretty empty when we arrived; when we left 3 hours later most tables were full inside. They now serve not only Ciders but a few local wines and beers.. Got the flight for $13.00 which is a great deal with very generous portions. I got 2 Ciders and two beers to try. The Ciders were very sweet, the one beer very hoppy which I could not drink, my favorite was the Blonde beer. We ordered Marinara pizza which was eh. The crusts are pre-made so after reheating are hard. The big pretzels are better as are fresh and warm with 3 dipping sides. The honey mustard is very good Whereas the cheese sauce is disgusting, I couldnt even eat. Lady making homemade Guac is a nice addition to the food choices. Will be nice if they would have more food options as its very limited. Place was very clean. I would recommend a visit.
Fantastic experience. Pretzels and pizza are excellent. The selection of Ciders is almost overwhelming. Highly recommend the five tasting option. The dry ciders were favored over the sweet, but all ciders were unique and the descriptions are accurate.Enjoyable atmosphere, polite staff, and fun experience.
Large-scale facility with various cider and beer choices to choose from. There are food choices to snack on while you sit in the homey atmosphere indoors. Outdoors is unkempt; the patio needs to be seriously cleaned. Inside: immaculate, outside: needs some work. The only other gripe is that the cider is about $1-$2 overpriced in comparison to other ciderhouses and breweries for the East End.
First time there. Maybe 20 different ciders (plus beers and wines). I had the raspberry habanero. Nice kick. Wife had the sampler (your choice of 4 from their list). Under Wuhan COVID rules they will not sell alcohol unless you buy food first. The chicken bacon ranch pizza was excellent, as was the large pretzel. Food prices a little high and took a long time to get the pizza. Cider servers at the bar are incredibly helpful.Lots of people, but lots of seating both indoors and outdoors. A number of bachelorette parties, mostly younger crowd - we are senior citizens. Great for people watching.Wish I could have given 4.5 stars. We will be back.
I sat in the apple outside of Cider house to take a picture. The old man bouncer told me and my 6 friends that we were too drunk to enter. He refused to let us in because we took a picture with the huge apple outside of their facility that is there to TAKE PICTURES WITH!! This place is horrible never again.
I went there last night with a friend and the two bartenders were incredibly lovely. The cider was delicious and reasonably priced. The 4 pack bottles were also a great deal. I’m hoping they start distributing in Brooklyn because I want to keep razzmatazz in my fridge all the time. Also the venue is adorable. Such a cute place with a bunch of different types of seating, games, and more. I can’t wait to go back and try the food.
Very large space, bar area, comfy lounges, table top games, there is a large outdoor area with more games like Cornhole and connect4! My favorite part of the place was the old antique doors made into tables and other antiques made into furniture! Great vibes! I went to cider taste and all of them was amazing! My favorite was the mull it over hard cider, the pizza was great too!
A little too loud and crowded for me this Saturday afternoon. My friends all liked the beers they tried. I wasnt in the mood for alcohol and they did not have diet soda. The pretzel was good but I was not impressed by the fresh made guacamole. I would return and try to get a table outdoors on a nice day.
Shouldnt really be surprised, but the place was an absolute madhouse on an October Sunday. Thats fine, I can deal with that, but this place is pretty expensive. Regular beer/cider pours are $9 excluding tax for some insane reason.Security at the door also wouldnt let a couple people in our party bring water bottles in. I certainly feel much more secure without those dangerous water bottles coming inside.A fun place, but theres lots of competition in the area, and I think youre better off at most other wineries or breweries nearby.
Really beautiful warehouse with a great selection of beers and cider. GO FOR THE CIDER! It is a ciderhouse after all. Also, the staff there couldnt be any nicer! Literally nicest and most accommodating people Ive ever met. John and Jim are real stand up guys! Thanks again!
Great atmosphere! They have many ciders to choose from and they are all delicious, along with great food, the guacamole is a must have. They have live music and a nice outdoor area. The area inside is very cozy and relaxed. It is a great place to go and have a few drinks with friends
Great spot! Live music, really good cider (but also beer and wine if youre not into cider), plenty of seating and a great mix as far as the crowd goes. They have a lot of neat games lying around for customers to play, and an outdoor seating area on a nice day. Nice place to spend an hour or two. Try the honeycrisp cider - delicious!
Wonderful variety of ciders and a fabulous, fun place. A bit crowded on weekends but so is any good place on the North Fork. Great live music and on weekdays it’s not quite as crowded: we’ve gone for dueling pianos, trivia, and bingo - all a lot of fun. Matt does a great job with the games, Will is a master brewer. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Riverhead.
Great place to chill out. Big venue with an intimate feel. Two fireplaces surrounded by couches. Plenty of tables and seating. Excellent selection of beers. I enjoy playing acoustic guitar there. Friendly crowd. Top notch staff. Best guacamole I’ve ever had on Long Island.
The ciderhouse was really cool to visit. It has a nice open long hall that is setup in a way to make it welcoming and comfortable. The festive decorations for Christmas were really cool to see and just felt like a nice family and friend oriented place to visit and have a good time.
I booked a 30 person reservation a few weeks ago at the cider house, no deposit down unlike alot of the vineyards out there which was awesome. They were very professional with follow up emails for my reservations. We had a issue with our bus company being late among other issues, and I called them letting know what was going on. The staff at the cider house were fantastic and very accommodating as soon as we got there and insuring our time was not ruined by being late. The atmosphere, food and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend this place for a trip out east!
Stopped by for Apple cider donuts to satisfy a craving. And a hot cup of coffee. Was pleasantly surprised to find both and a whole lot more! Great place to relax and unwind, with craft beers, brewed on the premises. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. Looking for local gifts? Stop in their gift store. You wont be disappointed!
Amid this pandemic, Riverhead Ciderhouse is doing a great job! The drinks are delicious, did a tasting of 2 beers, 2 wines, then followed up with a glass of Rosè. Get the pretzel, its yummy! Also spring for the fresh guacamole, it was so good! Will definitely be back!
Surprisingly good! Did not expect much from a cider mill, but I was pleasantly surprised. These folks offer a great selection of ciders and have decent food available. They can even make fresh quacamole at your table. They even have live entertainment at times. Try it!
Unprofessional experience, I used the $15 ticket that they gave me when I came in and used toward my FIRST DRINK for an engagement party and went up to get another and they told me and my party they couldn’t serve us. After asking why as no one in my party was drunk, falling over and was completely confused how we would possibly be denied service, they told us we were too intoxicated to be served and were asked to leave. As we were celebrating such an important time in life I was completely taken back and disrespected to be denied service as no one in our party was disrespectful, or rowdy at any point during our visit. I will never return and as someone who owns a business myself I would never disrespect anyone in this manor and will never return to this establishment.
My mom chose this location to host my Bridal Shower and it was PERFECT! Atmosphere was so cool, staff was very attentive and the food was delicious. My favorite part was the fresh guacamole cart! Highly recommend and cant wait to go back and enjoy everything else the Cider House has to offer
My personal favorite of the up and coming Riverhead brewery scene. Dont be intimidated by the cider focus if youre a beer connoisseur, Riverhead Ciderhouse offers a variety of styles including some darker and nonsweet beers. They even have a selection of LI wines. The food is also a delight including the famous guacamole lady. They always have a nice crowd, games, music, and food to keep you around for hours.
Whether you are in insider, or an outsider, Riverhead Ciderhouse is for you! This a huge, open, industrial space, with good light, and lots of seating. They offer a wide variety of ciders, from dry to sweet, as well as a good selection of beers, and even a few wines thrown in for fans of the grape. They also have a decent selection of deliciously carb heavy snacks to help soak up all that alcohol. Service at the bar is fast and friendly, and the staff is eager to guide you to the perfect drink. Overall this is a terrific place for groups to come and hang out and have a great time.However...All that being said when I went it was INCREDIBLY over crowded, to the point where even getting parking in the massive lot was a frustrating, and time consuming chore. Once inside it was a battle to get drinks, and an even bigger one to try and secure a chair, let alone a table. If you intend to actually sit and relax you’ve gotta be extremely watchful, relatively pushy, and ready to pounce in an instant or you’ll be flat out of luck.To their credit the bartenders, and other staff did yeoman’s work in taking care of everyone, a Herculean task. Also on a positive note, the live band was excellent, and added to the raucous atmosphere. Remarkably, despite all the commotion, it never got too loud to talk.Still and all I would highly recommend finding a quieter time to enjoy this place, though I couldn’t begin to tell you when that might be.
What a happy find. The place is very nostalgic. Classic barn to pub feel. Repurposed doors as tables. Two fire places and a pianist playing piano the minute you walk in. My wife and I had the Honey Crisp cider with Pizza. The cider was terrific and the pizza was big enough to share and not stay hungry. The staff also goes around and offers samples of a dark chocolate croissant. Delicious. We grabbed a jug of cider to take home and a bag of fresh (still warm) cider donuts. Very nice time and a good way to end our adventure at the cider house.
One of my favorite places. Its always a good time here. Theres live music alot and the place is pretty spacious so youre still able to hold a conversation while music is playing. The pizzas are a little pricey but very good. I love the ciders. I always get the flight so i can try different flavors. My top right now is the poolside pineapple. The ciderhouse rotates their flavors often. Half their menu keeps some flavors long term and the other half rotates. Everytime i come here theres always something new to try. Theres also board games to play inside. The outside section is nice too
I was pretty disappointed they don’t show college football games on their TVs on Saturdays. Instead we watched loops of icebergs mountains and other nature-related-still-imageloops. Otherwise it was a pretty cool place with beer-garden seating (get there early or you’ll have trouble finding a seat!) and a nice selection of beer. Live music was great and thy had some card/board games for the tables. Their selection of TV programs was just strange and unfitting for a place like this.
This is a great family/friends/date night place. they have table games, out door seating, table side guacamole (so good) , a market place with sandwiches, pizza, salads and huge pretzels. They offer local beers, wines and home made ciders, as well as live bands and brewery tours. you can come hang out with your whole family, theres something for everyone.
I was here the day they opened and knew their Cidermaster from another business. Seemed cool, had great potential. Went back this summer. New Cidermaster was only making sweet-bombs with flavors. Apple-Pineapple, Apple-Peach, etc. Finding good, dry ciders was nearly impossible. When we went, it was an off weekday, so it wasnt busy. The service at the counter was tough, we waited while large groups were served multiple times. The food seemed to also be suffering, which was okay because we initially thought wed stay, taste a few ciders then buy a pint and have a pizza. Unfortunately, nothing appealed to us anymore. Its a beautiful location and looks like a lot of fun if a sweet flavored cider is your thing.
Since the week it opened, this has been one of my favorite places! The decor is perfect. The Apple Annie pizza is the best thing since sliced bread. The pretzels are a perfect snack, PLUS tableside guac! The cider is good but the environment makes it GREAT! The only downside these days is that it gets super crowded. Last time we went we had to wait online.... Riverhead cider house provided water bottles & pretzel snacks though!
Great place to stop by and have a drink, if you are of legal age and in your mid 20s to mid 30s. Selection is ok but most were super sweet and not top notch but the honeycrisp version which was delicious. In week end, be prepared to wait forever to get the attention of staff. But I would come back with friends from abroad. We recently returned there and tried about 5 of the ciders, most tasted like sparkling water and one only like cider.
Riverhead Ciderhouse is an awesome place! Its huge!!! Lots of local cider, beer, and wines offered here. You can get food, and snacks, here while sampling the local brews. Lots of area to hang out, great seating options. And the best part is they have books and games to keep you, and most importantly, your kids entertained while you enjoy the drinks. Its a very laid back place and it is extremely family friendly. I just wish they would stay open longer in the evenings.
Spent close to $400 on drinks and food with my group. As the designated driver, I went to my car to grab a coke, because Riverhead Cider House doesnt sell it (tired of apple juice boxes) and was denied re-entry at the door..( no entry with outside drinks.) But sitting next to our table , were 2 people who walked in with a Yetis full of vodka. Lesson learned for me! So the rules should apply to all..no outside drinks should mean no outside yetis brought in either.
Although I’ve been in the area several times I had always driven straight past Riverhead Ciderhouse. I don’t think I’ll be making that mistake again. At the insistence of some teammates I stopped in for lunch and was blown away by the sheer size of this place and how professionally it was run. The place was packed and every customer had a smile on their face.I personally had a flight of ciders and a meatball pizza. I did a quick tour of both the indoor and space and the rear exterior courtyard. My final stop was in the gift shop where I purchased some cider to go. Looking forward to the next visit.
Was very crowded staff friendly good atmosphere piano playing. Have to let you know that the primary reason why I went to visit the cider house was because I saw monsieur v on real foods talking about it and decided that I most go an see for myself. On sad note I bought two pizzas 15.99 water went to get drinks and the efficiency of the staff pizza and bottle water was gone. But had great time .
I went during a crowded time and it was pretty awful. Four rows deep of people to get a drink which I never wound up getting. All the games you couldnt even touch because there were so many people. Barely anywhere to even stand let alone sit. So if you want something to eat you may just have to either brave the swarm of bees outside or eat in your car. The food was also just ok.Again we went during a Saturday at like 1pm, I would definitely give it a shot again but as soon as it opens up.
Corona rules say you need to buy a food item in order to buy a beverage... This place has an expensive selection of Bad food ill go back for the cider. Not for the pizza. pizza only searves 3 peope is what they told me so youre forced to spend a fortune. Other spots in the area are way more accommodating by selling single donuts or a snack sized bag of chips
This place surprised me. Its huge, serves in house made cider, local wines and beers. They also have a in house deli style eatery serving up some excellent well priced food, a guacamole cart traveling around, live music and a nice retail selection. Definitely a great stop in Riverhead.
Ill get the good stuff out of the way first. Nice modern looking venue with a great premise considering the location. With craft breweries popping up left and right, a craft cider house on Long Islands North Fork is a no brainer. The downsides to this place are aplenty though. The place is always packed so you can throw away the idea of a nice cider tasting experience where you arent jammed between drunks and hipsters. I found this out right away when I stepped into their gift shop when I first walked in to a sweatshirt that a group of drunken Millennials were ogling that said Feckin Wrecked. Next stop was the bar. Very long bar which was nice but elbow to elbow with people and this was on Sunday when it was 32 degrees out. I imagine on a nicer day it would be a total disaster. They serve a bunch of their own ciders as well as local craft beers and local wines. The bartenders look to be miserable. Not sure if they arent being treated well, but they sure do make you feel as if they could care less and offer no help. The only helpful person was a gentleman behind the bar wearing a white button up who I assume was probably a manager. Tack on prices that are way too high ($9.00 for a Blue Point Toasted Lager?) I stuck with their ciders but are you kidding? I grew up going to that brewery. Their flagship beer at 5.5% abv is being sold at a premium on the island it was brewed? Now for the ciders. I love ciders and have visited several establishments in New York and I have to say that out of all the ciders this place has, only ONE was good and that was Whats Hoppening. Other than that Honey Crisp Bolt and Apple Annie were decent. The rest of the ciders were not good, some bordering on awful. They are so sweet and sugary that it feels like your stomach has developed an ulcer while you were there. Other than that I was informed that the bathrooms were disgusting, but I didnt see them first hand. I dont see myself going back to this place and wouldnt recommend it unless what Ive described is your cup of tea. If so then enjoy!
One visit is enough. Walking in you expect this to be a homerun but your hopes are soon thwarted when the food counter person tells you half of the menu items (which is limited to begin with) are not available today. They have a nice selection of ciders and flights are available but the lack of a good menu and quality food really makes the trip out East just for cider not worth it.
I require a service animal because I am bilateral sensorineurally deaf and they would not let my dog come in with me. Drinks were good, service was great. My only issue is if there was (god forbid) a fire or an emergency I would not be able to hear the alarms or any any instructions. I’m so upset or more so bothered that they reprimanded me as if I was a child telling me that me registered/legal service animal wasn’t welcomed. The door man who is an ex police officer used his power in the wrong way considering I, myself come from an nypd family
Plenty of tables and cool stools plus couches and chairs. Food is good nice variety of hot heros pizza and salads. Try the jumbo super large pretzel its awesome. Get a 4 flight of ciders to sample, my faves pool pineapple and a grapefruit cider mrs liked the rose and a raspberry. Unless you are really into maple skip it, its overwhelming. Sit back relax play board games, no pressure here they are not chasing you out very low key
I do like the ciders, etc but feel like this establishment has made plenty enough money from the families who come here to spring for some new giant Uno cards. They are so skevy and wrecked that you dont want your kids to touch them. Oh and maybe buy some new Jenga blocks too since 2 out of 3 have X rated words or pictures drawn on them. I mean cmon and pay attention to that stuff if you want to stay a family friendly place. Other than that Ive always loved the place.
Not sure what happened to this place since the opening, but after todays visit we wont be back. One person working the counter who waited on 5 people who arrived after us. We were standing there with 2 growlers to fill. Once someone finally served us we asked to try the 4 driest, apple only ciders. Out of a list of 10 only 3 dont have some other fruit added, and every taste, including their dry rose was sweet and not much else. Wanted to get one of their big soft pretzels, but they were sitting out on paper plates where anyone could touch them, getting hard. So sad to see this. It was a great place when it opened.
This place is a wonderful alternative to the stuffy restrictive wineries. They also offer wine and beer tasting flights, food(go figure compared to the no food offerings at the wineries. Am I bitter} family friendly live music fireplaces and games. Lighten up Long Island.
Brand new place.Went last Saturday. There was live music. Place was packed. One huge room with long bar, a fireplace on both ends, gift shop, and 2 baby grand pianos in the middle. Small kitchen on the far end where they make small pizzas and flatbreads. They also have oversize pretzels and a few other items. The pizza was ok. It had way too much sauce. Roasted veggie flatbread was decent.Besides cider, they also serve local beers and wines, both on tap and from bottles. In my opinion, the drinks were a little overpriced.Fenced in yard had seating and bean bag toss game. I was told that they were going to install a fire pit.Kid friendlyBathrooms cleanBesides being a little overpriced, there was a long wait for drinks. Not sure if they are allowed to have servers, but if allowed, they should definitely look into hiring some.
Was my first time there, and I was not disappointed. Service and food was beyond expectations!!! Friendly and knowledgeable staff made for a satisfying and comfortable afternoon!!! The entertainment by Danny Keys was just right to set the mood!!!! I will definitely be back!!!!!!
Good atmosphere. Mediocre cider. Recently picked up their razmataz raspberry cider. Could hardly be called raspberry, as the ingredients suggest its not even brewed with actual raspberries, but rather raspberry flavor, and this is listed after malic acid, an ingredient usually added in tiny quantities. The cider isnt even raspberry colored. Minor additions of even small quantities of raspberries yield a brilliant red color, so, clearly no raspberries in this. Its fine if youre used to commerical beer, but if youre looking for a craft brew, probably skip it.
My friends and I were excited to visit this place after hearing about it, but upon walking in and waiting at the bar for service we were told by the bartender that her manager said she could not service us. We asked to speak to the manager for further explanation. The Manager told us that it was their discretion to refuse service to anyone who they deemed a liability. That he was only protecting his establishment. We questioned we what behavior we exhibited that lead to this decision. We explained that we merely just walked in. He would not give us an answer. So to anyone who is thinking of visiting this establishment, try not to be too excited the may refuse us to serve you.
Not really impressed with this place, tourist trap vibes, was not even packed and could not hear what person was saying and they could not hear me, music was pretty bad maybe it was the particular performer. Bartender seemed to care less about giving us info on drinks, bartender sets the tone and this one set no tone, dont know if i would come back here kinda felt like i was in an airport but more boring.

2022-02-15I came to the Ciderhouse on a Friday night and had a great time. There was live music and it wasn’t crowded with it being a cold winter night. We got a cider flight which was delicious! So many good ones to choose from. I also got the chili which was okay, I probably wouldn’t get it again. A really nice spot to enjoy some really good ciders and music. They have dueling pianos some nights I saw as well. They had a fireplace too which would’ve been super nice to enjoy but not too many people could sit by it. Great spot to check out!

2022-04-17Had a great time! Only thing was the wait to be served was really long, and to close out your tab. Not the bar tenders fault, just need more of them! But the ciders are great.

2021-07-26Was just driving by and decided to stop in and so glad that I did! Very fun atmosphere and great selection of ciders, beers and wine. They had live music over the weekend and enough space to enjoy indoors and outdoors. Decent food selections and a kids menu for the little ones. The staff was super friendly and really nice.Highly recommend if youre in the area and a great break from all the farm stands and wineries!

2021-08-06Stopped in at the Cider House while visiting from Buffalo…. had a wonderful evening enjoying great ciders, fun trivia, and a delicious pretzel. Loved the atmosphere and the ciders. Can’t wait for my next visit… but have some canned ciders to go!!!

2022-05-08One of my favorite spots to head to. Always lots of great yummy choices on tap. The food there is a bit pricey but if youre heading for the afternoon with friends its all good shareable bites. They usually have live music. Fun place 😁

2021-07-14Huge space! Tons of parking! The inside is also massive with plenty of bar space and seating. We were in a rush so just did a few samplers and they have plenty for any taste!

2022-05-01Very nice. Staff was fast to get drinks. Even busy the place was a good time. The price was higher than any other local cider/beer place by at least $2 if not $3 per glass!

2021-10-19The Riverhead Cider house is now one of our very favorite places to visit on Long Island. Live music in a very large venue with two huge rooms and a smaller one also. The Cider is amazing!!!

2021-08-05Very good ciders. Food was basic pizza and chips. The outside area is nice, inside is very cool, open and spacious. A nice place to chill. Ill be back for sure!

2022-06-15Been here a few times and its nice. Good selection of beers, ciders and some wines. Not sure who the tone deaf singer was last Sunday, with his horrific caterwauling, assaulting everyones ears, but he drove us to leave early. It was beyond annoying and if that had been my first visit Id think twice about ever going back.
