For many years my beloved mother in law was a resident at Riverwalk. From the day we visited for her interview, we were impressed with their dedicated staff under the direction of Regina Wallace and Katie Murphy. Regina retired a few months ago and Katie has been an amazing director. She actually moved into Riverwalk during the height of the Coronavirus and lived there supervising the staff and taking care of all the residents. My mother in law had a view of the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge from her one bedroom apartment.one of the other wonderful features of Riverwalk is their gorgeous dining room that also overlooks the Hudson River.

My mother was there and was very unhappy. Many of the staff members were inconsiderate and were not there to serve the residents. Very few activities especially art which is necessary for physical fitness was very limited. Lectures were usually from movies and not lecturers. My mother left and is extremely happy today in her new independent living.

For seniors seeking a non-profit assisted living apartment house, RiverWalk is more than acceptable. Not inexpensive but apartments are larger than in most for-profit rivals. Activities are scheduled. Food is good. For physically active people, a pool and exercise center available and fine. For less active, six-day exercise sessions. Good location, overlooking Hudson, esp. nice in warm weather.

Truly comfortable apartments. Housekeeping services are excelent. Food is better than average, really quite good. The staff is truly kind and helpful. A good place to be as I age.
