From the day I started coming over 2 1/2 years ago I have never had a bad experience. And it’s not like my stylist is there every single time. She goes on vacations. But there’s always someone covering from her who is equally adept at taking care of my gray roots. The staff are warm and friendly and welcoming. The space is clean neat and organized. And my stylist Dorina is wonderful
Riza Hair is a great salon. Emma is a hair artist and perfectionist. She consistently does a great job. Everyone at the salon is so friendly and welcoming. I was a little worried going back to a salon as they opened in Phase 2 during the pandemic but they took every precaution and made me feel safe. I highly recommend them.
Went here after abandoning my hair for 5 years. First time back in a salon I did a walk in and was treated extremely nice. I cut three inches and was EXTREMELY satisfied with how my cut came out my stylist worked with me to choose the best cut. Lost a star because $65 for JUST a cut is pretty steep I didn’t want it washed or blow dried.
Love this salon. The owner is very nice as are the ladies who work there. I have been going to my stylist Glory for over twenty years. She does it all, color, cuts, keratin, etc. and always does an amazing job. Highly recommended.
I love going to Riza, and now I won’t go to anyone else. I always love the way she cuts and colors my hair. She is very attentive to details and it always comes out great.I have used her exclusively for years for cut, color, keratin and “botox”for hair.

Salon is clean and they only took 3 clients at most when I was there. Riza is always honest about what works best for my hair type and color and have never had an issue with any of her cuts or coloring. Absolutely recommend!
Since the day I walked in I have felt welcomed. Dorina does my hair and when she’s away someone immediately steps in to take care of me. Dorina is meticulous and we talk about color and cut and she gets me.... and during lockdown when I cut bangs - she made the best of it...Edona who assists is a lovely person and so accommodating— it’s always a great experience when you have confidence that someone will take care of you.
Riza had been doing my hair for years when we lived in Manhattan. I came back for a last minute event and Riza fit me in and cleaned me up! Next time I’ll plan my cut when I plan my flights.❤️💙♥️
Riza is close to my home and convenient. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. Cynthia is an extremely talented stylist. She works so well with my hair and puts slot of time and effort in to achieve beautiful results!

Ive had three cuts here and have loved them all. Kristina (spelling?) gives the best massages when she washes my hair. Dorina is my regular stylist; she listens to what I want, clarifies with pictures and then works her magic. She has given me a chic bob, a short layered cut to transition to longer hair (which grew out so beautifully that people asked me months later if I just had a haircut), and recently chopped it all off again in short layers.I was nervous about going to a salon (taking covid precautions pretty seriously) but I was two partitions and an empty seat between the closest client (there were only three of us clients and maybe six staff members) and everyone wore masks the entire time. Love this place even more for taking everyones safety into consideration.
Always a great experience - safety was clear, all wore masks and had plastic dividers. Happy they reopened and glad I finally got my much needed straightening keratin treatment. See you soon for coloring.
Discovered this great little gem of a salon last week! I received the best blonde highlights and trim I’ve had in years from Asta in this relaxing, modern salon. Highly recommend!
Riza! Love her and what she does to my head! One marvelous thing about her is she would never cut more than i ask. She is also willing to cut my hair dry which I really like. Rare! A GREAT TALENT. ALWAYS A GREAT HAIRCUT!
Always a pleasure getting my hair either cut or just a blow-out. During the pandemic they have taken every precaution necessary to make one feel safe and comfortable while in the salon.
Asta is a hair genius who always provides whats needed for my hair: a vibrant color, nice cut and elegant blow dry. The salon is neat, with a friendly atmosphere, and reasonable prices.
Riza is a fabulous colorist plus give great haircuts and blow drys. There is no need to go anywhere else.

I was taken as a walk in and seen right away by Asta, who is both lovely and talented! I enjoyed the entire experience and despite not knowing what i wanted, (except to loose 5 inches), walked out looking amazing! I highly recommend Asta!

2022-05-15My highlights look amazing thanks to Emma at Riza. This salon has been instrumental in making my damaged hair look healthy and shiny - from the incredible hair Botox treatment I had earlier this year, to the thoughtful highlights and great products. Riza is affordable and a nice environment. Definitely an Upper East Side treasure. And the sinks are comfortable too!

2022-07-12I went in yesterday for a haircut, the place was clean, calm and very welcoming. Cynthia was phenomenal. i wasn’t entirely sure of what i wanted but i gave her an idea and she talked me through what she thought could and couldn’t work for me. she took into consideration the amount of work i put into my hair outside of the salon and accounted for that in the haircutting process as well. definitely recommend :)

2022-07-27I am a recent client of Rizas after being referred by a friend whose hair color I admired. Riza is a true artist and she is patient and friendly. I have long wavy hair that I have colored for years, and, at my first visit, it was very dry and lifeless and in dire need of some TLC. Riza listened to my needs, and used the INOA ammonia-free hair color on my hair to cover my roots, and gave me a beautiful blowout. I have been back to her three times since - twice for a cut and heavy-duty conditioning, and the other time for highlights. My hair is now in great shape - I love the color, and the condition is soft, silky, and manageable. I highly recommend Riza Hair NYC!

2022-03-21This is a small salon on 3rd Ave but with a lot of expertise and good vibes packed in! After an awful coloring experience at a salon on E83rd, I really dreaded the process of finding a good colorist. I learned the hard way the importance of finding someone experienced who listens to you, explains various coloring options, and does a phenomenal job. I found such a person at Riza. Asta has been cutting and coloring my hair for over a year now (even during COVID), and she is more than awesome! Her blow-drys are pretty amazing too. I strongly recommend Riza for a great salon experience.

2022-04-11Riza was great! She saw what I wanted and immediately said YES, this is so fun and then snipped probably about 7 inches off. Its such a relief to not have to worry about braids every day and its so much bouncier!

2021-07-19Darina is the only person that I have let cut my hair since 2015. She only cuts my hair but does color for my niece and aunt and its incredible! I trust her completely! I always leave with so much confidence in myself! The salon is nice, clean, and professional. HIGHLY recommend.

2021-04-17Glory is the best hair stylist I have ever had. Her detail and skill set are unmatched! My color is rich and my cut is consistently looking terrific. I have very thick hair, which intimidates many stylist...but not Glory! She’s a rock star on all things hair. Thank Glory and Riza salon!
