Had a great experience with RoadReady. Would not hesitate to go back for any car needs.
Road Ready is the only mechanic shop you will ever need. They are prompt with their service as well as their communication. Texts are sent to provide updates and to confirm any changes, unlike some shops that might just say, We had to replace (insert unknown part here) and that was $1000 (without your approval). Road Ready always confirms with you before they do unexpected fixes. They will also provide photos of the parts changed, which is really helpful. Try them out. Youll be satisfied.
I recently visited Road Ready to have a new exhaust system installed. They were very courteous and professional. Received exceptional customer service from Steve and team. They kept open lines of communication, and even texted pictures of the project. Work was completed in a timely manner as promised. Will definitely be going there for future installs/repairs!
The guys were great, communication was always available. Even when things didnt workout as plan they kept communication open and told me everything. Now I have my jeep back and happy I went to Road Ready. I want the best for my vehicle and they went above and beyond. I would recommend them to anyone.
I was having trouble with my tires so I called Road Ready, after they had closed, left a message and showed up the next morning as soon as the shop was opened.As soon as I got there the staff took my car in, I waited, my problem was rectified and I was out in less than an hour.While waiting I was offered coffee and/ or water.I love the entire staff at Road Ready and would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone who may need it. Their work is excellent, customer service above the ordinary, all in all a pleasant group to work with. I find them very trustworthy.
I recently brought my car here for the first time and I must say they are extremely kind and thorough. First, the report they send you with what is going on with your car is awesome, the details and pictures along with it is such a great idea. Second, they were upfront and honest with what really needed to be done and what can wait. Third, they did not pressure me in to any service which I truly appreciated. Finally they offered a complimentary ride home when I had to leave my car. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone.
John and his team at Road Ready were absolutely fantastic when it came to diagnosing my check engine light and a cylinder misfiring on my Jeep Cherokee. He kept us informed, gave us various options and did the work in an efficient and timely manner. I love the diagnostic check they do and all the pictures they take and send to you explaining every detail of your car. I definitely recommend bringing your car to Road Ready. Price is not cheap but its worth it!! Excellent work, they diagnosed the problem within 2 hours and fixed it in one day. Much better than going to the dealer! Steve was great on communicating updates and also did his best to help keep the cost affordable. Highly recommend.

Walking through the door of this place was unlike others that I have been to, especially driving all the way from New Suffolk. Immediately was greeted and offered coffee and water. John and the staff was incredibly nice and friendly. The thing that caught my attention was the pictures that the staff sent to my phone of issues they noticed about my car. Goes to show how honest they are with their customers to provide proof that their not screwing their customers over. Also have to bring up how John sent a text to me a few days later asking how satisfied I am with the work and if I have experienced any issues since then. I know this doesn’t seem that much, but it shows me he’s willing to take part of his own time to check in on me if the work was done correctly. Overall an excellent place. Definitely can count on me coming back.
I brought my car here after seeing their great reviews and they did not disappoint. I expressed my concerns about my used car purchase and Jose put my mind at ease. He gave me itemized reports and quotes for what I needed. While waiting at the shop, I had the pleasure of watching them interact with their customers and it was nothing but laughs and good times. I made an appointment for a state inspection and an alignment if needed. I was already told I needed one from my Mercedes dealer but the charge was an insane amount. I told John I would be driving my car back to Illinois in the next few days and would like a quick look over as well to make sure I am safe on the road whilst driving back. Everything was checked out, timely service completed within the day and open communication about everything that was going on with my car. I was sent an e invoice kind of thing with pictures to show me where the status of wear and tear or attention is needed in my car. This is something I really liked and was unique to getting my car serviced here. It’s nice to have a picture documenting whether something is wrong or not and needs attention or not. Will be back and definitely recommend!
First time. Won’t be my last.I came in for a “check engine light“ issue on my mother’s 2002 PT Cruiser. Unfortunately, the part needed was DISCONTINUED by Chrysler manufacturer, which would not allow the car to pass inspection. I appreciate John/Road Ready for their honesty, and not having me pay for OTHER things (which my mother had done).Great service, friendly staff. Best place to go if you need a repair or any automotive service done. Unlike other places everyone here all staff all mechanics owner everyone has a great pleasant way of making a customer feel at home and welcomed with open arms. Refreshments were offered a waiting room with a TV fast honest and quality work. My first time here I dealt with Jose and a few others very nice explained everything what I like most is they take pictures and document everything and give you access to it. I brought my daughters 2007 Ford explorer in for service knowing it needs a few things, I knew it needed and Ford dealership said everything was fine and passed a quality inspection, for the record it should have FAILED. Anyway Ford dealership also gave my a next oil change free coupon. Knowing all this I decided to skip the free oil change and I went to look for service and came across Road Ready it had many great reviews so I called then made a visit and I am glad I did. They did what they call a Master inspection and found all the problems with the vehicle that Ford failed to find, Road Ready found and gave me gave me a list and showed me pictures. This place also goes that extra mile and provides a drop off service this was great because they had to replace the transmission at a shop they deal with named Advance Transmissions they replaced my transmission when it was done Road Ready tested it before they gave it back and even drove the vehicle to me and it has been working flawlessly ever since thank you all at Road Ready we are very happy. I hope other shops use this place as a great example of perfection because they go the distance. Update 8-8-2019- needed some service done once again a plus service from the great team to the walk in to the service great people including all mechanics. Back again for a separate problem and once again problem solved. Update 1/11/2021 vehicle had a humming sound great mechanic Bill verified problem replaced wheel bearings. Thank you Bill , George and John all great people.

I brought my car in for an inspection after a recommendation. From the beginning John was great. He said they would complete an overall check of my vehicle since it was my first time there. He then texted me to let me know what they checked so I could see everything in front of me and also walked me through it all over the phone. I was very happy with my experience and will be back.
They took good care of fixing my tire. They provided me with a courtesy ride home and a pick up when my car was ready. John and all the other people who work there are very friendly and professional.

My go to place for oil changes and everything I need for myself and my familys cars. I like how they give you a report with your vehicle that shows what is needed and even includes pictures of the issues. They are not just looking to shake you down. They do quality work and use good products. I highly recommend.
Brought my 2006 ford f150 to you guys on my brothers recommendation. Great shop everyone was very professional and courteous. John helped me through my issues with my truck and worked with me so I could get it to the point where it would pass inspection. The video inspection of my vehicle is actually a great thing they do so you can actually see what is really wrong . I will definitely be bringing my truck and other vehicles back to the shop for future work
I had Road Ready perform a Rear Brake Service, OFL, Rear Differential, and the repair of a passenger side window (regulator/motor). Very efficient service, early morning drop off. Technicians had interior compartment wrapped and sterilized after repairs were performed. Repair diagnostics are fully disclosed ahead of any repairs. Service Tech makes recommendation of any repairs (immediate, long term, next service visit) Been a customer for about five years now. I wouldnt have this car serviced anywhere else. A 2005 Honda Pilot 179,000 miles on odometer. Never pushy with repairs, they track previous services and give a heads up on what repairs are upcoming (due to mileage/time). A well run auto repair business. Entire staff is superior to anything out there.
I used Toadready to replace my fuel pump for $1500.00. Afterwards my gas gauge stopped functioning. When I brought it back they put in a different fuel pump, but it didnt change the fact that the gauge still didnt work. So John tells me that its the cluster thats gone bad and that it has nothing to do with the fuel pump or its installation. I found it too highly coincidental that my gas gauge stops working at the exact time they change the pump. I knew he was wrong, so I asked if there was some sort of test to check and see if the gauge is working? And he tells me that there is no such test. So I was forced to go to another mechanic who charged me $90 to test the gauge. He told me that the gauge was fine and that he would have installed a motorcraft fuel pump for $1100! So I brought John at Toadready the evidence of the test I had conducted. He reluctantly replaced the fuel pump with a motorcraft brand and wouldnt you know it, the gas gauge has been working perfectly ever since. I asked John if they were going to reimburse me for the $90 I had to spend to prove that it was in fact something they were doing to cause the problem. His answer was less than admirable to say the least. So I miss out on 4 days worth of work and then they charge me $400 more than the other mechanic would have. Now what makes this all worse is that this garage tries to justify their higher pricing claiming superior parts and expertise. That clearly isnt the case here. So this fuel pump cost me $1500 4 days pay and then the $90 to prove it was Roadreadys mistake in the first place. I couldve bought another van for all that. Not to mention the extra nonsense that occurs when grown men, supposed business men, dont admit when theyve made a mistake. Well I am a business man who admits to my mistake immediately. I should have never gone to Toadready in the first place!!!👋 Im waving goodbye to Toadready and I suggest that you do too!

I had my car in about a month ago for an inspection. I was given a full detailed report of what absolutely had to be done and other things that should be done over time, prices for each service were also include . I knew I needed new brakes, but couldnt do it at that time. I brought my car back about a week ago for the brakes. I had to drop off before hours due to my schedule. Before they started the work they called me to just confirm the price. They are always extremely courteous. I will continue to have my car serviced at Road Ready and I highly recommend them.

We love Road Ready. We had to leave our car overnight (because of our scheduling) and when we came to pick it up in the morning our car was cleaned off and waiting for us (after a few inches of snow overnight). John and the team are always professional and accommodating.

I have been going to car dealerships my entire life for car maintenance. You end up paying more money and not always getting the best service. TheY shuttle you through the dealer service department like cattle.However the service I received at Road Ready was extremely different. They explain everything in detail. There is a website set up for your account where they took 30 detailed up close pictures of all the items that needed some attention as well as items that did not. You know exactly what the issues are. My car was given a complete check up from top to bottom. All of their work is guaranteed. I had scheduled my car to be looked at for a problem and they found that one of my tires was the wrong size which was not what the appointment was for. The wrong tire mistake was done at a car dealership and I didn’t even know it. Again, you think because you are going to a dealer everything is perfect but they make lots of mistakes. I am thankful I found Road Ready and they have a new customer for life. Thanks to John, Gus and Jose.
I had a great experience with everyone at Road Ready, not only did they diagnose the issues with my car, it was towed in on Thursday for shifter problem, they have a digital diagnostic system that finds ALL the problems with the car then they text it to you before they do any work and go over it with you, clearly so you understand what you need to get fixed. John was extremely helpful and patient with me when going over what the problems were and what they meant. Got my car back the next day 5 hours earlier than expected 😊 Im very satisfied with the service I got and very grateful for the way John worked with me. I have been going to Road Ready since I have been driving...no where compares to this place! Nothing beats going to a hard working family business. Gus, John and José have treated my entire family like their own from the beginning. The entire staff treats customers with such professionalism and hospitality. I trust John and Jose’s advice with all of my car needs. I appreciate how they take the time to truly ensure that I understand what is going on. John and Jose ALWAYS patiently answer all of my questions and concerns...their kindness never goes unnoticed! The laughs are a plus. I would recommend Road Ready to everyone! I was a hopeless case with my Dodge Ram. Even Dodge dealership didn’t want to touch my truck!! Put me on a list to wait for 3 months just to diagnose what was wrong. I was having electrical issues, my blower and air conditioning system failed. John took care of me, got to the root of the problem, and got my warranty plan to pay as much as possible. They even picked me up, and dropped me off at home!!! Nobody else does that!!! I’ll stay with them for life!!
I just left Road Ready after having an oil change. As always, they were extremely polite, friendly and competent. They always look over your car and they found a few things that I needed to be aware of because my car is 8 years old. They did not try to push me into fixing these things and even told me I could wait a while but when you need brakes, you need brakes. The thing I love about them is they work with you and I feel they are honest, their prices are fair and they guarantee their work. I was lucky to find them after getting screwed over by the worst mechanic ever. I have never regretted my decision because they are a first class auto repair shop. I highly recommend them and my car has never run better. So, if you want the best check out Road Ready, you will never be sorry.
I trust Road Ready! My Dad and Bro’s did most of the work on our cars On the side throughout the years . If they can’t fix it, they diagnose it pretty well. I’m spoiled, when I had to bring to a mechanic because my family couldn’t do the work themselves, most of these shops take advantage. They overprice the parts and make up more issues that have to be fixed padding the bill.When I went to RR, they gave me an estimate that I knew was fair. They are local and nice hard working people.

Jose and his staff were very considerate to my needs. My brakes had failed on a Thursday; they were happy to accommodate me the next day. I needed brakes, new brake lines, and a few other safety items repaired (a long time coming). You may know that brake lines are a very time consuming job; because of the age of my car there was not a kit. Just for the lines it was 9 hours. They said I could get car back Monday. I needed it back earlier to get my handicapped child from camp. They were so caring and accommodating that I got it back on Saturday. They are one of the most honest and caring shops I’ve dealt with in a long time. They are the best.

I got a diagnostic for my ac they fixed it quickly and for a good price will be back . They checked the rest of my car out too gave me a link in text message telling me the health of the car . It was so thorough and let me know what needs to be fixed.
Road Ready repaired 3 leaks on my Mercedes, replaced the drive belts, spark plugs, brake fluid, power fluid and coolant services and more, and turned it into a new car. I love the video review they send you of your entire car, including the undercarriage. They tell you everything you need to do now and things you will need to do at a later date. They even provide pick-up and drop-off service if you need it. They can easily handle any car, domestic and foreign. I trust them.

This spot is awesome. Jose is the man, helped me with my ABS system. Him and his team drove me back home after dropping the car off in a torrential downpour. Road Ready’s service was timely and they even send you photos when they perform the courtesy check on your car. They compare your cars fluid colors with a standard and list issues in order of priority. Pricing is great and their work is amazing. Will definitely be coming back!

I have been going to Road Ready Car repair, a family owned business, for over 20 years. They have been and continue to be excellent mechanics, nice people and most importantly, honest. I have never been told that I needed a repair when I didnt and when a repair is made, its done in a professional manner, quickly and expertly. I wouldnt go to any other mechanic. Why should I?
This is a great place to get gas, but I would never drop my car off for service. I recently came to have the headlight bulb on my driver’s side switched out. This is a 2-3 minute job at most that requires no tools. It is literally replacing a light bulb. I could have gotten the bulb and replaced it myself, but I was in a pinch one weekend and, since Road Ready is around the block from me, I was more than willing to pay the markup for the convenience of having the job done. That is, until the owner (I assume he is the proprietor) told me the job would cost nearly $60. I immediately asked for my keys back. In fairness, he was at least polite about it. Out of anger, I took my car to another place just to see what an honest person would do the job for. Mavis on Hempstead Turnpike did it for $15 and it was done in 5 minutes. I wonder how much they charge when a car needs serious work. I will never know because I am never coming here again. Everyone else should do the same.
The problem with my steering occurred suddenly and was hazardous to drive . Brought my truck in on Thursday late morning and had my truck back by Friday after work. The staff there is always courteous and professional . Mechanics are top notch.

Great auto repair place. They dont try to take advantage of you like other places do, or dealership where you bought your car from. Ask for John or Gus, they take care of your car, and are very friendly. If my car needs service, this is my go to place. They have early bird drop off service or a seating area to wait for service completion.I have been coming to Road Ready for years, and will continue for many more.Cant be beat, great customer care service team, they also have a road ready repair point program, they started where you get coupons in the mail, for every service you get on your car.
Have some issues with my car, called up and Went to the shop John was there and assisted me all the way. Left the car, sent me the photos and itemized issues concerning the car and followed up call from John. He explained everything, Gave me options, and suggestions without any pressure. Very good customer service. Didnt have my car fixed yet but when Im ready, Ill definitely come back , I know theyll take care of me and I highly recommend this shop.
I brought my car in the morning and the car was ready that afternoon. The shop called and discussed everything before doing the necessary repairs. I found the shop to be honest and reliable!!! I am definitely using them again

Great place. I feel like Im visiting old friends when I bring my car in for service. John and Gus are the best! The quality and service are well beyond expectations. Their knowledge and expertise is amazing. They have never tried to do repairs that arent needed just to make money and always advise me first what is needed and leave it to me to make the final decision. They are caring , accommodating and efficient. They stand by their work no matter how big or small the job is. Ive actually had no charge for minor walk in problems which they fixed . Do I think sometimes the charges are too much---yes-- but then again I never compared them to any one else as they have never done me wrong. Besides for the reasons stated above and the convience they offer they are well worth it. I strongly recommend them!!

My service center was booked with appointments so while searching online came across RoadReady and read the reviews. I didn’t see any negative feedback so I went one morning to drop off my C300 4matic to have the undercarriage noise diagnosed. Not only was the inspection thorough they contacted me back within 2 to 3 hours with a text link that had pictures of the damaged part and suggestions on what parts I needed maintenance on soon. Went through with the repair, went to pick my car up the next day and now I’m “Road Ready” lol. Service rep also corrected the tire pressure on my dads car and cleared the light. Pricing is also fair and think of it this way... you get what you pay for. I believe their work also comes with warranty I Defiantly recommend this shop for auto repair. Thanks guys I’ll be a returning customer.
I had to get an oil change done on my car that was urgent before taking a long road trip and John at the front desk was very accommodating and understood my needs and was able to do the oil change last minute for me. Finally a Service Station with Managers and Technicians who treat you like family, not just another number. I have had the pleasure of finding this Jewel of Service Stations and I am Highly Impressed with their work on my car. When the dealers were saying I needed whatever, I drove over to Road Ready only to find out that I was being misled, and was told what the problem really was, and how it was going to cost and how long I would have to wait. The service from their Technicians is top notch and second to none. I am bringing all of my vehicles here in the future for all of the services that they need, whatever it may be. So, in the future, go to Road Ready for any servicing and it will be done right the first time.
Very professional shop, good communication from the time I brought my car in until I picked it up.Work was done in a timely manner, thorough, and neatly. Car was returned with none of the usual grease and grime that oftentimes finds its way onto steering wheels and interior surfaces.Overall an excellent experience.

I was even given a ride home and back during my 2nd longer service, so I would not have to wait at the shop. This shop is wonderful. I took my sisters handicap van here to get fixed. Everywhere else had a long wait time, and she needs it daily otherwise she can’t get anywhere. They understood our urgency and fixed it in a matter of hours! They were so accommodating and friendly. John fit me right in, and Jose explained the issues in detail. After not having a day off for awhile and then getting one last minute I was in need of an oil change, without a steady mechanic I like I called over to Road Ready who helped out a friend from out of town last minute free of charge last week. With careful explaining and very friendly service I now will only use them for all my car needs and issues. Very in depth report for my car inspection, complete with pictures and video. (I kept thinking that if I was purchasing a used car, I would want Road Resdy to look it over because they left no stone unturned.) The waiting area is immaculate. John is an honest guy and will let you know what repairs he recommends even if it is not what you brought your car in for, but he will not push you to do them. John will even let you know if you can wait to perform certain repairs, but will be sure to let you know what will happen if you wait too long so you can make an informed decision. My previous car crapped out and now I take my new car to John for routine maintenance and will continue to in the future.
I was very impressed with the thoroughness of their inspection of your vehicle. They send you a report backed up with photos via text. Jose is such a nice guy great personality. Would definitely return.
My whole family has been bringing our cars and trucks to Road Ready since 1992. Gus and John are honest businessman, with supreme, up to date knowledge of their profession. Expect to pay somewhat above average repair and service rates here, but you truly do get what you pay for, an honest No-BS estimate, and trustworthy and reliable repairs.

We have been going to Road Ready since we moved to the area 4 years ago. I always feel that the mechanics take an interest in our vehicles. They identified that a Lexus service area did not perform a service that was paid for. We werent sure if this was initially true, until a return trip to the dealership some freebies magically appeared when it was brought to this Lexus stations attention. I am also offered a fresh cup of coffee and a ride back home in the mornings when I drop my truck off for services. This is a nice perk, but I sincerely feel they are looking out for our best interests. I plan on coming back for a very long time.
I always go to road ready. I trust them and they never bait and switch. Never do they force repairs but ask if I want them to do the job. Will never go to a dealer service center if I have a choice.

First off all the other reviews on here are from the owner/employees, or family members of the owners, ask anyone in the local businesses and they will tell you the same thing, stay far away from Road Ready auto repair, the owners John and Gus are liars and thieves they will try and sell you anything and everything even things your vehicle does not need, they dont care about anyone or anything except themselves and there pockets and they will con, lie, and do anything they can to make sure that there pockets are full and yours are empty, they order and use the cheapest parts while making at least 65% profit on every part they need to fix your car. Your best bet is to stay far far away from this place and save yourself the money and aggravation , there are plenty of other honest, loyal, and caring repair shops in the area!!! You can ignore this post and warning but if you do go anyways, when your kicking yourself in the ass for not listening dont say I didnt warn you, prior to your visit!!!!
My husband and I have been going to Road Ready for years. We have NEVER been disappointed with their professional services. They are very honest people and very accommodating. They do what they say they are going to do, not like other places that charge you for work they didnt do. I wish I could give them a score of 10 ...thats how good they are!!!
I do my research when it comes to automotive repairs since I am not home to have my brother do it for me. They charged me $80 to replace my headlight the first time around. I said thats alot but it is what it is. 2nd time around they charged me $140. I had no idea they would of charhed me that knowing the first time waa $80. They told me bc they went through the back of wheel to do the light and took longer. But the first time they replaced the bulb they took the bumper off.I asked them when I dropped off to put the headlight cover on that was missing. I assumed they were going to take the bumper off and therefore it was a matter of attaching the cover in the process. Instead bc they went through the wheel well they had to attached the cover through the other wheel which is why they are charging me more.John is rude, they scheduled me for a 4 oclock appt bc they said to come later so they said 4. I dropped my,car off at 350 pm and called me at 430 saying they cant do my car bc, they didnt realize how long it would take. Knowing when I scheduled my appointment I have been there before and gave my car info over the phone.Come time for check out I was shocked at the price for a headlight. And when you go for an oil change they attached little charges u did not request like brake cleaner.The bottom of the receipt says if not satisfied tell them and I did argue the light bulb cost and got no where. Flat fee is $109 an hour for repairs.I advise to double check pricing before having them go under the hood. I initially gave them 1 star but bumped it to 3 because I did reach out to Roula and she was polite and apologized.

Very professional great customer service I had a flat tire I didnt know how to be able to get my car somewhere so I can get a new tire im on oxygen an have lung cancer I Google tire service an I found road ready right near my house I called them they were at my house in minutes an they picked my car up changed the tire an dropped my at my house when they were finished I recommend everybody to use the road ready service

2022-01-22I wouldn’t trust any repair shop other than Road Ready. It was such a wonderful experience. Family operated for over 30 years. The mechanics are trained and certified, including advisors (they have their certifications on the wall)The service advisors are exceptional and help you understand what exactly is going on in your vehicle. They are all so kind, and want you to be happy and worry free. They offer complimentary shuttle service, even drop off your vehicle at your house! What I love most is the digital inspection I received through a link via text showing the health of my car, with photos and videos and explanations in each category! That is amazing! Never seen that before! Then the service advisors call you to explain what, why and how, and will give you an estimate on repairs, NEVER pushy about it. They are honest with you, and I trust what they say to be safe! They also offer financing options. My car is a 2013 Hyundai Sonata, with over 110,000 miles and feels and rides like a younger version! The quality, the warranty on all repairs and parts (which is 24 months/ 24,000 miles), the cleanliness and and sanitation in this shop is unreal! It’s beautiful inside, and they keep your vehicle clean and sanitize before and after! That’s very important considering the craziness of covid. I would recommend Road Ready to all of my friends and family! Look no further, you won’t regret it! Support your local small businesses!

2022-04-04They are very friendly and helpful. Their diagnostic report gave me a complete overview of the vehicle. You dont get this from a typical corner mechanic. The service was professional and timely. I recommend them highly.

2022-06-01They are the BEST! I went in to get several problems with my car fixed. They not only explained everything to me, but when one of the break rotors they put in turned out to be faulty on my commute to work, they picked up my car while I was at work, and fixed it for me. It was by far the greatest experience ive ever had with a mechanic.They also replaced my break light a week later at no charge. John and his team are AMAZING.

2022-02-10This place is awesome! I needed an inspection done and they usually don’t do it late in the day. The gentleman John and the wonderful woman Michelle (I hope I spelled it right) lol were very accommodating! I NEVER write reviews but this time I have to say, they are worth writing a review about. 2021-10-19John and Steve are always so nice and welcoming. All employees are extremely accommodating and knowledgeable regarding vehicles. They provide a complete and thorough service at an affordable price. They always offer me a ride to and from the shop(even though I always walk). I have taken all my cars here for various needs and have never been disappointed in the job that they provide. George helped me this time and was very nice and efficient in the service provided.
