I was called at 6:49 p.m., the night before my first appointment to let me know that my primary insurance is out of network. They said they called me earlier but there is no record of their call on my phone log and I have them saved to my contacts, so they lied. They accept my secondary insurance but stated I may be responsible for the bill and needed my credit card. Why would I be responsible when they accept my secondary? Other doctors that are out of network with my primary Emblem GHI send the claim to them first. Then the EOB goes to my BCBS secondary. BCBS will not pay until they see the EOB of the primary, even if the primary is out of network. I know this from my past experience and endless phone calls when a doctor forgets to send a claim to my primary. It sounds like no one wants to do the work and it is easier to just charge a credit card on file when I have 2 insurances. Now I have foot pain and no appointment. I could have called another doctor if they had called me sooner. It is after 7 pm and no one else is open. I am a teacher and am on my feet all day. I have to continue in pain until I can find someone else. Maybe the doctor is good but I will never know because of the people representing them.
Overall I was satisfied with my visit at this office. The staff is nice and helpful and I didn’t have to wait long at all. It was also easy to get an appointment within a few days. So far treatments/ suggestions have been lessening my foot pain. One criticism though: you are made to stand barefoot on a platform to be x-rayed. There is no protective barrier on this surface. I don’t know if it’s sanitized between patients, but I think having a disposable mat or something would be a good idea, even without a pandemic. Are people walking barefoot on the floor and stepping onto the platform before me? Yuck! After all, this isn’t the TSA!
Everyone was very Proffessional, the office space was very clean, quiet and cozy, i didnt have to wait all the day to see the doctor, everything was done perfectly, and the Doctor was great! He really explained every step plainly, and really cares about his Patients, every doctor should be like him!
I had met with other podiatrists before I went to Dr Perl and was not impressed. Dr. Perl , in the Dr. Robert Landy office , was wonderful . She actually listened, was knowledgeable and easy to talk to . She has been treating me for the past few months and have received relief from my aches and pains . 5 stars
Dr. Landy is an excellent Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with great experience as he has been treating my flat feet and my foot fracture due to slipping on the snow last winter. He is personable and very caring and accommodating to my medical needs. If you have any problem with your feet please see Dr. Landy , immediately, because you will be feeling much better in a very short time.
Made appointment for my husband, An elderly diabetic patient. Woman on phone was wonderful and accommodating.Dr. Needed to cut my husbands toenails which are in bad shape. No soaking, no softening!Jut clip and cut my husband who could hardly walk for two days. Is there no empathy for the elderly, or does doc treat all his patients that way?
Professionalism is the top policy in the office. The efficient staff pays priority to cleanliness and disinfection between patients. Especially in these times of the pandemic, spacing of patients between consultations is strictly observed. Mask-wearing by everyone is mandatory.
When I walked in the 2 women in the front were so pleasant and interested. They were very mindful of the patients coming in and doing everything with a smile!I also didnt have to wait a month for an appt. I called in the morning and I was seen that evening. And Dr Landy was so caring. He listened, explained and gave me suggestions. I am very holistic and Dr Landy didnt shut me down. Again he listened and honored my beliefs. And we came up with a plan.WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Well, I did not appreciate the receptionist and the doctor discussing my coverage and how they never heard of it while I was sitting there and I have always pay my bill when I received it. I do not and have never paid before I received it, this is the coverage I have. I find it was very unprofessional.of both people.
Ive been trying to get a prior authorization on a prescription and this staff in this office have been giving me a hard time on getting it... they are rude and unprofessional.....clearly not living up to prior reviews.....I am very disappointed with the Doctor and staff.... my experience? .....HORRIBLE!!

2022-04-08Finally got rid of the fungus! It took months but the treatment worked.Up until I started to seek treatment from Dr. Landy, I was not able to get rid of the toenail infection. Tried Laser treatment. Very expensive and ineffective.

2021-09-26Dr. Landy is always very professional and helpful. I had a drill bit stuck in my foot and he booked a surgery quite quickly and helped save my foot, otherwise who knows what may have happened. He has also been great for my wife who had some foot injuries from work. Would definitely recommend Dr. Landy to anyone looking to get care for their feet

2022-05-11I google searched for a podiatrist in my area and came across Dr Landy. Based on his rating which was far greater than others, I made an appointment. My problem was ingrown toenail. The doctor explained to me the procedure and came back at a later appointment to have it done. The procedure was done flawlessly and the doctor and his staff handled the process very well. I must admit, it was the first time I felt comfortable with a podiatrist. Past visits to others made me feel like the doctors didn’t show concern or weren’t very friendly. I’m looking forward not having that kind of pain anymore and I’m glad I found a keeper in a podiatrist!GOOGLE ALLOWS ME TO UPLOAD PICTURES FOR YOU TO SEE.... ILL SPARE YOU THAT PART. 🤮I would like to update my review:After having this procedure done a year ago, unfortunately the healing allowed my toenail to grow back in and become ingrown again. This time it’s even more painful then before and my attempts to cut the corner to relieve the pressure is impossible for me to do. The pain is unbearable.I decided to make another appointment with Dr Landy to go over my options. He pulled out his cutters and went to work. If I could’ve jumped to the ceiling, I would’ve. The pain he inflicted on me was the worst that I’ve experienced on my toe. Heck. I could’ve done that at home but I chose not to bare the pain. I don’t know? Maybe he looked at me and thought that I looked masculine enough to be able to take the pain? When he was finished and the pain stopped, the nail was relieved as was I.I decided that he was way too brutal to me and I was gonna look for another podiatrist when this situation arises.Well the situation came back and my wife suggested a female podiatrist in north Babylon and I went today. She gave me 4 options. One was to trim to release and if it grows back in the future that she will numb me and cut it back. She promised me the “trimming “ will not hurt and spray freezes it.With such minimal discomfort, she is my new podiatrist. As far as all of the reviews for Landy, I’ve noticed that after every visit, my email is constantly harassed to make a review. Clever.I’m not saying Landy is terrible by any means, I’ve just decided that he’s not for me. Lesson to be learned. Word of mouth Is always better than stars ⭐️ on the internet.

2021-09-23So I was a returning patient on Tuesday in the west islip office because I happen to like Dr. Landy.. however I always encounter a not so friendly assistant who often checks me in.. I would like to say that the overall experience Tuesday was quite refreshing. I happen to have had vanesa as the assistant that day and what a personality and great bedside manner she had. I am a teacher who was very stressed out that day and her conversation put me at ease. VERY nice change to that office. Great visit. 👍

2021-02-19Dr. Landry and his staff were all professional and friendly. Overall, I am happy with the service and they had me in and out of the office within 30 mins. The only issue I had was paying $35 for a post surgical kit that should have only cost between $15-$20 at most.

2021-04-21Dr. Landy and staff are incredibly pleasant. Dr. Landy was so cordial explained and gave a visual of the problem and treated it in a timely manner. It was my first visit I was so impressed by their professionalism and the time he took to solve the issue at hand. It was nice to go to a Drs office who took the time. Thank you.

2020-10-24Both my husband and I have been using Dr. Landy. He is the third doctor I had gone to over the course of two years in order to get rid of a very painful wart on the bottom of my foot. I had gone to the previous two doctors many times and neither one was successful in treating me...I was extremely surprised and pleased that after two visits I felt 100 percent better and after the third visit, I could not even tell there was ever anything wrong with my foot. My husband was quite pleased with him as well. We are so happy we found him!
