Robert in other cities:
-Excellent view of part of the city, you can see part of Central Park. Fabulous-The service is very excellent (Host, Manager and Server). The food was delicious we ordered the Rigatone, Wild Mushrooms Risotto and the Fried Yuccas. There was a small starter courtesy of the house based on eggplant and other vegetables that was delicious.-The atmosphere, the music, the incredible view, the service and the good food make your evening incredible.
Our service was impeccable. My best friend was in for a visit, and I had been wanting to go to the Robert. It did not disappoint!!! Beautiful view of Central Park. Excellent service with the kindest staff. Absolutely delicious food! I have 1 regret. I need to go for the sunset dinner. The views will be amazing.
The restaurant is beautiful, upscale and has an amazing view. Our experience was on Valentines day and a few things were wrong so it was a little lackluster....still very enjoyable. The lobster was undeniably overcooked and chewy and the salad appetizer was a bit bland. Other than that, the steak was great, Other than having the strange choice of a Pierogi topping, very nice. all in all, a good experiance but with 150 dollar Prix fixe, it was missing just a little something.
Top-notch restaurant experience at the top of the Museum of Art and Design, offered at a (relatively) accessible price.I was quite impressed with the environment, food taste and presentation and service. Plus, warm bread and petits fours on the house.Truly quite a surprise right on Columbus Circle.
I went for late lunch. Atmosphere is clean and bright. Comfortable seating, best by the window. The spectacular view of Central Park is a real drawing card here.Service was polite and experienced.Food was very good. I had the fixed price set lunch. Gazpacho, salmon, and home made Sorbet. All food contained sweetness to some level but it was very good. They charged extra for the double espresso at the end of the meal.Price was reasonable to high, $80 for one person, without a specialty drink. I had sparkling water and that double espresso.Cleanliness was excellent. All service staff wore masks and white cloth tables were nice. Washrooms were clean and comfortable.Good for friends and couples who want a nice lunch overlooking iconic Central Park.I left satisfied and happy overall. Glad I paid them a visit.
How amazing the chef teases and guides me on an amazing journey. My citrus salad had bitterness acidly and sweetness one following another. Each one gentle like warm summer rain and yet distinct. My lobster with oats in squid ink was like eating the ocean. The salty ocean taste yet the creaminess of the lobster. My drink was great but did nit over power my selected dishes. I sang and I dances while looking at a group of beautiful people. The staff warm and friendly as if I’m was a family member. Dr Saltzman my host paraded the dishes as if it was a curated runway show of taste textures and inspiration.
Really not impressed. Service staff is attentive, drinks way overpriced and food is decent at best. I feel like they are trying so hard to be high-end but theyre simply not. Its all about the views if youre lucky to get a table by the window that you pay high-end service for your average dinner experience.
A hidden gem within the MAD museum, with incredible Central Park views. A modern jazzy vibe with live piano and contrabass music. If you want a table next to the window you need to call ahead and make a reservation. The food was as artful as the interiors. Very beautiful presentation and flavorful! The service was just excellent!
Good food, drinks, and service, but I highly recommend calling ahead to reserve a spot by a window. A good place to bring out-of-towners to see the museum and end at the restaurant. If you don’t have a seat by a window, though, it’s not a great atmosphere, feels like a regular museum cafe (though with better food and drinks than many). Without the view it’s not necessarily worth it since you can get great food, service, and a better atmosphere at a ton of spots nearby.
Classy dinning with a view of Central Park. They had a pianist playing during dinner. The views at night of the park are beautiful. Be sure to call weeks ahead if you want window seating. Food was excellent and fair portions! Also, the chef provided complimentary bites during appetizer and dessert courses.
This was an amazing experience! The food was so good. I had the lobster which was cooked with a red sauce, pasta and sautéed spinach. The beverage was hibiscus iced tea. The staff is so attentive to your every need. It was my birthday celebrating and they made me feel so special.
The food was great, but the service was absolutely phenomenal! Our server was amazing and even switched our table over, when it was available, so we could get a window seat. That table and view was gorgeous. Thanks for reminding me why going into the city is always amazing. Top of the line service.
Eh. Didnt like Robert at all. Beyond the view which we didnt get to experience in the middle of the restaurant the food was subpar especially for what they charge and Im absolutely okay with spending good money on quality food which this was not. The salmon tasted very fishy but the caviar was good. Eggs were average. Now the Waygu burger? Asked for medium and it was medium rare which okay Ill eat it that way but where is the flavor? No seasoning at all and flavorless for a burger. Very disappointed. Wouldnt recommend and wouldnt go back.
Lack of customer service, the waiter made a mistake with the order, we ordered a filet mignon, a wasabi salmon, 2 glasses of red wine and 2 soups, the wine arrived soon but the appetizers never arrived, actually for our surprise the main course was served before. The waiter apologized because there was no soup left even if we wait more than 30 minutes.
Absolutely fabulous! It’s such a amazing atmosphere you’re overlooking Central Park and New York itself and Anna was so kind to us as well as Flamur! I’m so happy to spend a day here for my birthday l! The food is so delicious the wagyu burger was amazing the indigo tonic is so refreshing and the goat cheese mouse surrounded in a tart blood orange sauce ! The octopus was cooked to perfection ❤️❤️❤️
Great restaurant with one of the best views of the park and Columbus Circle! Food and drinks are great, but the real treat is the view that is offered from this place! Be sure to ask for a seat with a great view, ideally ones facing Columbus Circle or else you would have other views of random buildings. Also try to get there for a sunset dinner, the colors on park look absolutely beautiful from the floor to ceiling windows in the restaurant. Would be a great place for a romantic dinner or memorable occasion to celebrate.
Views are wonderful but food is mediocre at best. Went for dinner pre-theater with reservations. Everything was very bland except side order of greens with tarragon and shallots. Food came out lukewarm and overall was probably cooked earlier in the day and heated in microwave or some other device prior to serving. Service and view are good and why I give 2 stars. We all thought dinner would have been tastier from food trucks outside!
I went here for a friend’s graduation dinner & enjoyed my experience. The staff was friendly & able to provide wonderful recommendations! We ordered the octopus (my first time) which was cooked perfectly & reminded me of scallops. I ordered the NY sour cocktail & red Zinfandel wine with my meal which was the rigatoni. The NY sour was delicious & very different because of the Malbec in the drink. My wine paired perfectly with the pasta which came out hot & was extremely filling. My boyfriend ordered the lamb shanks & LOVED THEM! He’s a big guy so we were both curious to see how the portions were & he was extremely pleased & cleaned his plate lol. The waiters also brought out complementary bread which was a nice added touch. The restaurant sits on top of a museum so you get incredible views of Columbus circle! Would highly recommend for a date night or special celebration!
Let me start off by saying that Robert is the BEST restaurant I have ever been to. While spending my last night on vacation in New York, we decided to dine here. Im not sure where to start but I will say that it has been nearly two years since Ive been here and I am still in awe and highly anticipate going back. The staff spoiled us with samplers like appetizers and desserts along with drinks, all on the house. If you want to know how well the food is, let me just say that my friend who ate the wagyu sliders began to tear up due to the savoriness. The view was also stunning, looking over Central Park. Thank you Robert for providing me the finest food, dining experience and staff to ever exist in this city.
Hiding the good stuff. Except from the view it was not at all what I expected. It started with an “amuse” that was just a spoon of Mexican corn salad. Then a tuna tartare that was spoiled by pieces of cucumber and a lot of Mexican nonsense. Could not taste any tuna. Asparagus with black truffle sounded nice but it was served with loads of cheese so no way you could taste the truffle. Then black tagliatelle with lobster: sounds amazing! But the whole plate was red. And lobster was loaded with tomato paste. It was disgusting. I would have given this restaurant only one star if they wouldn’t had tried to solve my complaints. They served me a plate with pure tagliatelle with lobster without the canned tomato paste and it was delicious.
First time here . Overall we had a great time. Food is pricey but very good. We were extremely happy that they met our needs with a window view. The view was Incredible.Service was great and the atmosphere is very nice. Please be sure to check out the menu. The menu is rather limited but a pretty good mix. Drink and wine list is plentiful.
My boyfriend and I came here for Valentines Day where they had a fixed menu. Long story short, we paid way too much money ($420 including tip) for food that was just okay. I dont mind spending money on good food, but this place is definitely overcharging. For my entree I had the lobster linguine and my lobster was chewy and overcooked, I was hardly able to eat any of it. Cocktails or wine werent even included in the fixed menu, and the average alcoholic drink here is about $18.Highlights- The ambience is stunning and the views are great. The staff was also very nice and accommodating.Overall I dont think I would come here again. And I would only recommend it to people who arent worried about paying a high bill for average food.
The food was great and well-priced for New York City. The staff was extremely friendly and even helped me plan a surprise I had for my friends. The restaurant gave us free appetizers and desserts, all of which were great. The view is phenomenal; come here if you have the chance.
With such a beautiful view of Columbus Circle, make a reservation for edible art and perfection in NYC. The Prix Fixe was a great introduction to what this restaurant offers in terms of great service, great food, and tasty treats for that special someone or important day.
I was here for a 6 person celebration brunch. The food was absolutely divine. The octopus was prepared perfectly, buttery soft and well grilled. The wagyu burger was dressed beautifully, a good piece of meat with a delicious fig marmalade. The sweetness was a great contrast to the the salty slab of deliciously fatty meat. Service was acceptable, though I would have preferred to be given water immediately as we sat, and for our order to be taken much sooner. Understandable (due to the Pandemic) service issues aside, Robert was the best experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant that has no need to be so amazing. The prices were very reasonable for the location, and the amazing view of Columbus Circle and Central Park alone demand a higher price at places like Stone Rose.
Great vibes. Great food. Bad service for the price especially. I wasn’t entirely sure who our server was and whoever it was never checked in except to offer dessert. We didn’t have proper silverware for appetizers or entrees. We were sharing and there was no silver to share. We had a great time, but it was a bit frustrating. The MD was very kind and accommodating though.
Priceless experience. Excellent food. The view by the window is great for even this native New Yorker. Our waiter Bob was everything and a bag of chips with the dip!! He really made our time there Awesome!!! Cant wait to go back again. Go there, youll be glad you did. 🙂
Our trip to Robert inside the museum was everything we wanted it to be for Valentines day!!! Romantic, great views, great food, awesome service. Our waiter Henry, was very friendly, attentive, helpful, and a real people person! The food was fantastic and all the little extras we received just made it better. It was well worth the trip to NYC and the price!
Just supreme, staff is attentive, polite and extremely professional. As a black guy in a beautiful and fancy restaurant I feel as equal to anyone else eating and never singled out or misplaced. The food is beyond amazing and the very talented live artist bring this place to ultimate excellence. Thank you Robert’s for always going above and beyond and always exceeding expectations.
Everything from the view, ambiance, and food is absolutely perfect at Robert. We celebrated a birthday dinner and were very graciously greeted and served by a wonderful staff. Certainly call ahead if you wish to make a reservation seated next to the windows, and know that it seems as though they can only seat smaller parties there (2-4 guests). Would definitely recommend and will be returning with other friends and family. Thank you for a great experience!
I went right here for a chum’s graduation dinner & loved my enjoy. The personnel turned into pleasant & able to offer brilliant pointers! We ordered the octopus (my first time) which was cooked flawlessly & reminded me of scallops. I ordered the the big apple bitter cocktail & red Zinfandel wine with my meal which became the rigatoni. The new york bitter became delicious & very one-of-a-kind because of the Malbec inside the drink. My wine paired flawlessly with the pasta which came out hot & turned into extremely filling. My boyfriend ordered the lamb shanks & cherished THEM! He’s a huge guy so we have been both curious to see how the portions had been & he was extremely pleased & cleaned his plate lol. The waiters additionally introduced out complementary bread which changed into a pleasing brought contact. The eating place sits on pinnacle of a museum so that you get wonderful perspectives of Columbus circle! Could fantastically recommend for a date night time or unique celebration!
Service is incredible, beautiful ambience, and view. But not sure about the food! Everything seemed sweet or very salty! We ordered grilled octopus, it was salty but the most delicious. We also tried the parsnip soup, it was very sweet and flavorless. We also ordered chicken and lamb shank- and they were also very sweet!!!! Flavors were confusing to me.
Great food, amazing views, the servers were very attentive and friendly. We booked for four at the window, but had a surprise guest in town....the friendly manager made it happen to give us a nice table at the window. A piano player played in the background.....a perfect brunch experience 👌
We made a reservation for my friendsbirthday. We requested to be next to the window and it was a lovely view of columbus circle and a little bit of central park. Service is good. Food is excellent. Floor is a little bit slippery but all in all it was a good experience.
This is my favorite restaurant in NYC. Its elegant and romantic without being too swanky. When making a reservation, request a window table. They accommodated me by setting up a table for 10 next to the window. The view is overlooking Columbus Circle. I was there on December 30, 2019 with my business partner dinner was $168, which included: appetizers, entrees and 2 drinks each. They also give complimentary tastings. That night we were given tastings of an appetizer, dessert and wine. There are 2 restrooms. The one at the end is glass/window with a street view.
Wonderful food and staff. Waiter spent time with us describing the 3 course menu options. Perfectly cooked risotto, steak and dessert. Piano music, romantic atmosphere that was perfectly set overlooking Central Park. Couldnt have asked for a better Thanksgiving venue.
We visited twice during a one-week stay in NY. Very relaxing atmosphere with low-intensity, coloured lighting. Excellent views of the Central Park and the Colombia circle (better be there 45 mins before the sunset, if possible). Short but delicious menu with highlights the Amish chicken, the Crescent duck and the Branzino. In its extensive wine list you will certainly find the perfect match. Quick and attentive service. Finally, a big thanks to Peter (sommelier and maitre d) for the wine suggestions and the perfect table!
The view was nice and the staff was friendly but the food was....not worth going there for. I went for dinner, I had pork that was very dry and we recieved steak tartar that did not taste very fresh. If you are used to good culinary experiences I do not recommend. The waiter did serve us a little birthday treat, so I will reiterate that the staff are certainly top notch. Unfortunately the food doesnt match.
Cool atmosphere, spectacular views and good food. I had the endive salad with salmon. The salmon was cooked really well. Salad was fresh and had an original flare. The view is so beautiful. If the museum of art and design was not in your agenda, it is worth adding. They have interesting exhibits on the other floors on your way up to the 9th floor. Service was attentive but not smothering. Price for three for lunch without drinks was about $100 before tip. Would definitely recommend.
Went here for an anniversary and the food was great as was the service. We even received a complimentary dessert from the chef. The interior is nice and the view is great but just be sure to make a reservation far in advance to ensure you get a window seat. Other than that I totally recommend!
I had brenzino. Ugh I can have more :)) The portion was really big and we got a lot of complimentary while we were there. The view was absolutely gorgeous. The interior design threw me off a bit (too bold?) but other than that you should check it out! (Food is pricey here haha)
We made reservations for brunch and requested a window seat when we made the reservation because they do not have a lot. We all ordered breakfast and the food was amazing. Our waiter was wonderful and the view overlooking Central Park was incredible. I highly recommend this place.
I took my partner here for her birthday and the experience was one well never forget. We were accommodated with a window table which was beautiful, especially considering Id only booked 2 days before. The food was sublime. Many restaurants with prices in this category skimp on their portions but the serving sizes were absolutely perfect. My partner was also given birthday cake bites with a candle on the plate to commemorate the occasion. The ambience of the restaurant couldnt be more perfect. Between the views of Central Park, Columbus Circle, as well as the dim lighting and piano playing in the background, Robert is the quintessential New York experience. One that these two Australian travellers will never forget.
Visited central park and what a great place to have dinner at Robert. The view from the restaurant is wonderful overlooking the park and the square. The food is astounding! I had the filet and my wife had a salad, both were presented exquisitely. The filet was one of the best I ve ever tried. They also knew it was my anniversary and presented us with a very nice surprise after our meal. It was a very nice gesture. We will definitely return!
Brunch with a wonderful view. Food is great, I highly recommend going there for brunch. Ask for a table next to the window. If you see a ballerina dancing at the Circle it’s probably because of the RIDE which is a special bus tour. You can also view the circle from Time Warner Mall. Live video is available on my Facebook page 🔥
Robert’s has always been my goto place, be it’s date, be it outstation friends visiting or be it a high profile business dinner. Food selections are abundant and cocktail pairings are an icing over the cake. If you happen to make a reservation well in advance, you could be lucky and get one of the window seats overlooking Central Park.I wish they’ve a seating bar too, sometimes you just want to have a beer and a moment to yourself without getting bothered by typical New York. Please be mindful that seating is limited and is either on reservations or first come first serve. Business casual attire, preferred.
The views are what really distinguish Robert - if you can snag a table next to the window. The view of Columbus Circle and the Time Warner building (now the Deutsche Bank building?) right next to you and the green of Central Park stretching into the horizon, makes the dinner worth it in itself. However, the dishes themselves are delicious and well presented. A great experience overall.
I booked two days in advance. Was celebrating my bro getting his dream job. We were lucky to get a window seat, because those are usually booked weeks in advance! Staff was kind, and the eggs Benedict we ordered are our Fav in the city. That pick me up iced coffee was fire! No it doesn’t have alcohol just comes in a nice martini/wine glass. (Photo for reference)
Do not hesitate ever to book this charming, highly sophisticates place! For a special occasion, bday, what ever! It will made your special day worth all the penny you spend on the most delicious food, romantic atmosphere, generous and loving staff, surprises you will receive and intimate live jazz music. Book in advance and ask for a table by the window, if you re lucky you ll get one!
The view is worth the visit. Nice view of the Central Park and Columbus circle. Very good service. The environment is modern and elegant. The sunset menu has few options but our orders were good. Nothing special but the view is worth it. We had burrada, sweet potato soup, hamburger and dulce de leche chocolate mousse as desert.
I came here with my boyfriend during the holiday season (around the 2nd week of December 2021). We attempted at having a lovely dinner when I realized there was a stink bug gracing my pear salad. Upon informing our waiter to get the manager, some rando who was not the manager came out and WITHOUT OFFERING ANY ACCOMMODATION WHATSOEVER offered solely an apology. In sheer disgust at the lack of quality hospitality, we were compelled to leave. As we were leaving, we met the real manager and learned he had no idea what had just transpired. THIS RESTAURANTS HOSPITALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BELOW ANY OF THAT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.
My company had a Christmas party there. Unfortunately we had simple burgers + salads as main food served, so I cant say anything about the food served there during regular days. But as for me appetizers were good and tasty. Also I have to mention - the view at Central Park and Columbus Circle is really great!
If i could i give them zero stars. This place is a total disgrace. After i made a reservation we arrived at the restaurant just to be told that my two kids one 4 and the other 5 years old need to be vaccinated or we cant be seated.I made the reservation over the phone and i was never informed that kids need to be vacinated or i would have not taken them with me. I drove 45 mins to get to the restaurant and ruined my wife birthday night and over all my whole night. The manager came and told me he dont want to argue with me and we need to leave.I would not recommend going there and i will never in my life will be back to that place.Dont go to that place!!!!
Very romantic and nice views during the day. Make sure to secure a spot near the windows. Ideally go there at lunchtime or in the summer so that you have good views of central park. Stellar selection of jazz classics. Live piano jazz music. Wonderful staff. The clientele is surprisingly diverse. I totally recommend and will visit again
Went here on Friday night for a pre Christmas dinner with my friend. I have to say it is a gorgeous restaurant and we were seated close to a window. The food itself was impeccable but the service I have to say was very poor. I tried to forgive the first two issues where my friends repeated requests for a refill of iced tea were ignored, I think it took three times of asking on both occasions. I tried to pass this off as I really wanted her to enjoy the experience and hoped that would be the only issue. However the time between courses was overly long and the point that even I could not manage to gloss over was when my dessert failed to arrive. My friend had finished hers when two requests were finally answered for mine to be delivered. The first was met with Oh I thought you were going to share which we were asked on ordering and I said no, I would have one too.As I have said the food was excellent and the ambiance perfect but good grief, given the number of waiters the service was terrible for a restaurant of this class.
Very intimate for first dates. Customer service is at the higher end, very friendly and accommodating. Bringing surprising small individual spoons of tasty bites as appetizers was welcoming! Dessert was wonderful! There are many more restaurants in NYC I will try, but I will always done here once a month!
This place looked so cool and fun when I researched it. Soooo many 5 or 4 star reviews, and it’s highly recommended on many websites for restaurants with views of the city. Unfortunately my experience matched the 1 or 2 star reviews- not worth the price, and the experience is something I do not want to relive. Food was ok- not great. Drinks were good if you were fortunate to have chilled Prosecco (lol). Service was tepid. Annnnnd for all that you can literally go to any other restaurant. If you go here, I wish you luck and hope you get a 4 or 5 star experience.
Casual atmosphere in an upscale restaurant. We were there for over 2 hours and was not rushed. A good chicken caesar salad which I recommend and other good food. Solid place to go for brunch or other time. The view of Central Park and Broadway is the icing on the cake.
The atmosphere, service, food in general is great! The fact that you can see/look down at central park or columbus circle at your table is a Big plus. They dont have the various kinds of foods, but my overall experience was pretty great. I left out one star just because I expected their foods to be extraordinary.
Reserved a table in advance , asked for a window table . When we arrived , we were placed in the middle of the restaurant , extremely close to other people from both sides. We asked for another table , not Even a window one.The manager and front desk said “ that’s the only option”. Didn’t apologize and both were not friendly at all .A lot of people are booking the restaurant to get a beautiful view since per reviews , food is not so good. I guess the manager and front desk both are used to people like us and they seemed to be tired / annoyed by it .Never coming back and do not recommend this place because of unfriendly staff.
I booked the table over the phone and asked if we could get the menu without prices so my company would feel comfortable chosing whatever he wanted without thinking about the price, I was assured twice that it is possible. When we arrived noone knew about my request and manager told me they do not provide this service. I also asked for orange juice and got it in a plastic bottle (the waiter obviously assumed it was for the child) and when I requested it again to get it in a decent glass and the waiter even asked, I got it again in a plastic bottle with lid. I did not like the food (lamb), it didnt have any flavour. I was pretty disapointed by the service. The restaurant has a pretty nice view though.
We walked in without reservation on a Monday afternoon for a late lunch. We were seated right away but not at the more desireable window location. The food was expensive but good and with reasonable portions. The view of central park is pretty cool: a rectangle of forest surrounded by tall buildings.
The greatest filet mignon we ever had - even my 6 year old could not get enough. Amazing food. Side note that I caught at end of service - they all work together as a team - it shows in the service and how they service the Customer - great and amazing experience. Great job to the Management team.
I had an amazing dining experience here. The staff is extremely kind and generous. The flavors are incredible. Every bite is a piece of art - from the appetizer all the way to the dessert. I can not thank the chef and staff enough! I couldn’t have asked for a better night.

2022-03-26Superb experience! The design of the place and the great view of Central Park and the Columbus circle is a winning atmosphere combination. The food was both tasty and beautifully arranged. Its not a cheap place but they have a great fix lunch menu option that worked nicely for us.

2022-05-03Great experience, good food and location.I wish I had a table right next to the window.I also loved to listen to the live jazz music! The jazz made the restaurant classic and elegant.

2022-07-01A really nice dining experience you should treat yourself to. Make reservations and try to get a window seat for one of the nicest views in all of NYC.

2022-06-20The food was superb. Rich flavor, noteworthy presentation, and hearty portions. Deserts were to die for.Our waiter Jorje provided us with stellar service! You can tell he is serious about serving his guests and providing a unique dining experience. He was alert to our order requests and recommended excellent drink pairings. It was my parents anniversary so he kindly presented us with some sweet treats and a candle to celebrate. My only constructive comment is that the décor is exceedingly dated and worn. Many of the chairs are glaringly dirty from what looks like decades of tear and wear. Some tables are terribly banged up and rickety, all of which distract from the sophisticated meals the chefs work so hard to create. With the revenue from a few stakes, the Robert should be able to afford much needed furniture and interior design.Lastly, if there is a dress of policy of business causal, it should be enforced. Various people in t-shirts and shorts came in, also detracting from the ambiance of the place. In summary, the food is stellar in my view. Great dishes coupled with a sweeping view of the park makes for a memorable experience. The top notch service makes you feel at home. However, I do wish the furniture was updated to meet and match the other commendable quality of the Robert.

2022-06-19We had a great night in Robert, Celebrated birthday, and it was the perfect place. Very nice view of Columbus circle and Central Park, excellent food and drinks, very nice atmosphere and very good service .

2022-04-10Breathtaking views of the park, surprisingly long wine list and brief but creative dinner menu. We had the tuna tartar as an appetizer (absolutely delicious), and as entrees the seabass and the rigattoni, which were really tasty. Cocktails were fun and delicious, and staff was very attentive and friendly. Lively atmosphere with fun and edgy interior design (to be expected, of course).

2022-04-21Nice drinks, sub par service. It’s a wonderful destination for views of Central Park and Columbus Circle. I lean towards four stars, but there was a lot of waiting involved, although many employees were present. There is also a baby grand piano, where music is offered a few days a week. However the place was so busy that it’s a missed opportunity not to hire musicians to perform every night of the week - it certainly would only add to the experience, and perhaps excuse some deficiencies.

2022-02-28Great restaurant experience.First off, the views were spectacular overlooking Columbus Circle and Central Park yet it is equally matched by delicious food. For a restaurant that has white table cloths and upscale dishes, its surprisingly not too expensive.Ordered the chicken which was far better than I was expecting and the lamb shank which was melt off the bone delicious. The brussel sprouts were slightly undercooked but the carrot puree was interesting and tasty.Complimentary bite size snacks offered before and after the main meal. Sweet potato puree with a marcona almond before the meal and a chocolate truffle which was a cream cheese filling coated with a chocolate shell and crumb topping with a dollop of apricot jelly.Glad I ended up trying this restaurant and would come back for a romantic meal.
