1/26/22 Had to make a call because a recent plumbing repair Robinson did about 4 days prior needed to be corrected. They sent out Art. I like people like him who are professional, personable, and honest. He explained the problem to me and why it needed to be corrected and how in detail. I asked a few questions and he answered them clearly. He will be my go to if I need any plumbing services.
I had to get a hot water tank replaced…quickly as it was leaking 1/2gallon a day. Tom researched my old tank, found out it still was under warrantee after 25 yrs and arranged with the company to pay up for what was available ( bigger tank, different manufacturer because the original company had nothing available)That was Wednesday. The install team came Friday am. Caesar and Ray were outstanding in knowledge and overall solid team. It wasn’t inexpensive by any means but 45% cheaper than it would have been with out To s research and the team that came to me was great. Ty Robison!
When my water heater sprang a leak, Tim and the crew at Robison worked to get it replaced. While they couldnt replace it with the same brand (thank you supply chain issues), they were able to obtain a credit from the manufacturer to apply toward an upgraded water heater. Whenever Ive had to deal with Robison, theyve always been professional and put out the extra effort to solve any issue. Thats why Ive been a customer for a LONG time!
My experience with both Robison staffers who came to my home for original checkup plus oil burner service was superb. Both people were gracious, attn to detail galore, so professional, and superb communicators. I was very positively impressed.Plus they laughed at my corny jokes.A.SklarSomers, NY
Billy came and fixed a longstanding problem, a blocked flow between our tandem tanks. Then he returned about ten days later and correctly diagnosed a noise problem. He adjusted a nozzle and weve been warm and the system has been quiet ever since! There was no charge for the second visit. Billy communicates in a clear, direct, friendly manner. He does Robison proud.
We lost heat in 1/2 the hours, called Robison, repair person was able to come out same day which was helpful. However, person stated that the replacement part should be in the warehouse and we should be able to make the repair in 1-2 days. I called next day and spoke with 2 servicepeople who did not know anything about the repair but then said they would find out. Next day we got an email saying the part was ordered and we will be notified when the repair will occur, no estimate of time. Then had to email back and forth to get an accurate estimate of time (2-3 days to order the part). Its frustrating that initially we were told 1-2 days, then didnt hear anything, then had to extract the information for an actual realistic time estimate.
Greg was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We did have an unfortunate incident when the person who answered my call to the service department told me they could not deliver oil before they did a vent alarm survey. We went 4 days without heat on the coldest weekend of the year in the dead of winter. When Greg came he told us we absolutely could and should have had oil and apologized for the misinformation by the person who handled my call to the service department.
Called in for service because we had no hot water and furnace wouldn’t turn on. He wanted us to buy a new thermal coupler for $400 because he felt it looked old. My husband said no and he re lite the pilot light himself and saw these the switch for the oil burner was in off position, turned it on and it worked fine. This is something he should have seen right away. Very very sad
We had emergency and Robison Services sent us technicians. It was on 01.29.22 - snow day!!! The technicians came on time and solve the problem, so the heat was on again. DAMIAN and CHRIS ware professional, knowledgeable and very kind - they did excellent work! Thanks!
Every experience with Robison since 1983 has been entirely satisfactory. The folks who I deal with on the phone are always polite and helpful and the technicians are knowledgeable, polite, and appear when scheduled. Robison is a great company to deal with which is why weve remained with through two homes and nearly forty years.
Couldn’t have had an easier experience. My boiler started making this crazy whining noise. I called Robison and they had a tech at my house in about a half hour. The tech figured that a motor was burnt out. Changed it out and that was it. FIXED!Best part was it was covered with my service plan and it didn’t cost me a penny
It seems like my problems happen at midnight. I called Robson for the first time several years ago when a radiator burst. We had turned off the water overnight but they came in the morning and replaced. I then contracted with them for oil delivery, as my previous oil company had no ons to help me with my problem. Fast forward a few years later, I noticed the house being cool at midnight when it was in the 30s outside. I spoke to their after hours rep who dispatched a tech. He diagnosed the problem and replaced the circulator pump, leaving at 4 am. I am so glad I made the move.
Greg Veja has been my service go to person for 12 years. He is THE reason I stay with Robison; costs so high and incidental billing that borders on the ridiculous, ie $9.70 to throw away a plastic thermostat, what? Consistently thoughtful, careful and proficient, quite simply, I trust Greg. He is always on time and does a thorough job.Companies may not think that relationships with service men are important. I have called Robison asking for Greg when he was out ill and been given a very insensitive response to my disappointment. I am a nurse and my patients ask for me over and over again. They are comfortable with the person they know and who knows them. Relationships are one of the most important things we have in a world of shams, scams and safety concerns.He is a special human being and Robison should be grateful he is their employee.
So far not so great as I’ve held @ 10 mins on 2 separate calls to report a loose faucet on a new kitch faucet set apparently improperly installed just last week. Trying to get thru to Customer Service has been unsuccessful thus far…..to report and schedule a repeat visit to fix. Have been a satisfied customer otherwise but this falls short of my expectations until repaired.I’m waiting…and waiting to see the bill as well. Nice repairman but….?
A problem last week with the furnace and the hot water. Robison employee was called. Came at 11:30pm, worked for 2-3 hours. The heat returned and hot water system back. Thank for Robison’s worker returned all fine. We did start to begin the water from the heater and left the basement with water. Robison mechanic work did improved. Robison worker was great to help the furnace and boiler. To sleep good at 3:00pm. AE
So far, it’s been disorganized. Really kind people who schedule everything, but it seems not every has the same calendar they are working off of. We scheduled services for a weekend, and waited around for an hour, only to find out it was incorrectly scheduled. They sent out someone an hour later who was kind but not the right person… Then, we rescheduled, had a 3:30 appointment on a week day, and she left after 10 minutes even though my husband emailed and they spoke on the phone - she was told he was stuck in traffic and would be there any minute. But she left anyway. So… not sure I will use them again next year. Again, everyone who we have spoken with is very kind and follows up with phone calls etc… but not a whole lot has been done.
Management does NOT care about customer satisfaction. They let your oil tank go empty and they don’t own there mistakes. They wanna know why they didn’t get called when my tanks when empty. Is it my job to let them know? Or is that part of the service that YOU give. Lastly, then they speak very condescending to the customer and are very rude and entitled. Took for me to speak to 4 people all in Management to finally get an I’m sorry for letting my tanks go empty on the coldest days of the year.
Tech came to service my air conditioning units3 units under contract. One of the thermostats was not connecting to the air conditioning unit.tech was finally able to connect . After he left the thermostat worked for a couple of hours and now is not working.Furthermore, there was a leak in one of the humidifier. I was told the the unit needed to be replaced and I was quoted that the replacement would cost about $1000. I looked at the unit and found that the hose was clogged. It took me 10 minutes to unclog the hose and the leak was fixedI’m totally upset and dissatisfied with this service call. When will you be back to correct the thermostat problem?
Greg has saved us over the years from all variety of furnace malfunctions and mishaps. I couldnt have been more delighted to see him this past Saturday morning after a freezing night with tenuous heat, as I knew we would be in the hands of an extremely skilled technician and a very kind and smart human being. Greg once again proved my prediction spot on. Thank you Greg; we appreciate you greatly.
Had my whole home air conditioning & heating unit replaced recently. It was the original unit at he town-home and thus 20+ years old and VERY inefficient/troublesome. Robison installed a Lennox unit which is very quiet and has reduced my expenses. The team was onsite for two days and was very courteous and communicative on the process and functions. They also installed an iComfort WiFi thermostat so I can adjust remotely. Its come in handy when away on the weekends to make sure I dont get back to a cold or warm home. From quote to installation to follow up the staff was super helpful and worked with us to finance and properly file for all available rebates. All my neighbors are now looking at our new clean and quiet condenser and asking for recommendations.
Burner replacement and service call. Have energy efficient German boiler that was installed about 10 years ago by other. Could not get initial installer to service as parts hard to come by and were very rude even when lost heat. However, Robison to the rescue!! Not only did Robison service come and get heat working again on new years Day but did necessary research, interacted with Manufacturer, secured part, installed all while keeping us abreast and making sure we were okay. And their service tech was great to work with!!Thank you Robison!!!
Thanks very much. I understand there are some who feel the price of oil is expensive. And, there are means to buy it less expensively than from a full service oil company. However, one should ALWAYS consider service unless one has the ability to service his/her own boiler. We had no heat the other night. Despite how cold it had turned, I knew Robison would be there to help us out. . The tech came at designated time and repaired what needed to be done. Items needed were on the truck. Had annual A/C tuneup performed May 31, 2022 by Robison ($399.85). The next day, water flowing from air filter area onto basement floor (20 beach towels worth before it was discovered). Robison repairmen tells me person who performed annual maintenance forgot to prime system when he finished...hence water all over the place (Robison installed new compressors and coil 10 mos. previous). I get a bill for $9.70 for disposables and waste. I dont get to charge themfor aggravation of water all over my laundry room and having to do 2 loads of towels....
We have a new service contract with Robison. The first time we used it, they came right out, fixed our issue and had us up and running in a couple hours. Making the whole thing more complicated, my husband and I were out of town and my older inlaws were home alone during the issue. Our technician, Chris, kept us updated on progress and was super professional with them. They were at ease, which put us at ease. Cannot recommend this company (and Chris) enough.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Supervisor was condescending & rude. Have been dealing with them for awhile out of pure laziness. Have had a multitude of issues, attempting to share with this buffoon & Rafael proceeded to talk over me, tell me I was wrong & blame game. Attempting to get money back from this waste, told me I cannot get my money back. Will explore litigation , if possible but will not use this company again.
We had a surprise shut-off by Con Edison due to a gas leak inside our house on September 1. I called Robison and they came by the very next day and took on the task to get our pipes replaced and our gas turned back on. They saw the entire process through from start to finish with fantastic communication, professionalism and promptness to get our gas back on in three weeks despite the additional workload post Hurricane Ida.I was referred to Robison by a neighbor who had a similar, positive experience so I believe they operate as a very high standard.Personally, I cannot speak more highly of Robison and the professionalism of their entire team from Marjorie at the office to Greg and Danny, the field technicians that performed all the work.Robison was very communicative and accessible, keeping me up to speed at every step. They performed the work without any delays and with a high level of professionalism and quality. Going even as far as to ensure that they did not have to replace anything more than necessary to get the job done right (i.e. not trying to unduly extract more from their customer).Their quote was reasonable for the standard of service delivered and also consistent with similar work they had done for others in the area, no higher or lower.We were notified in advance of whenever the technician was due to arrive on site and all work was done quickly and with minimal possible impact on any other part of our house. Namely, no excess mess, debris or collateral damage. In fact, Greg went an extra mile to replace pipes without having to do additional drilling or damage to the house. He made a calculated decision to replace the pipes by drilling two small holes in a ceiling rather than opening up the entire ceiling (which would have made his job easier but would have done more damage).At one point we required an electrical contractor to keep the work moving and I did not have one lined up but Robison called in their own team who came in the very day so no time was lost.Greg and Danny were very courteous and professional in their interactions and the quality of their work. They came and went without any disruption and were very transparent and communicative about the work that needed to be done.Marjorie at the office was very courteous, prompt and communicative - including sending update emails in real time as late as 10:00pm at night.Danny was present to monitor the Town inspection as well as the Con Edison technician. Had I not already been home, I would not have been required to be present at any time. Danny also took the time to light all pilot lights and ensure that all relevant devices were working as expected.All-in I interacted with a total of six Robison team members through this process and all of them did their work to a high standard and were very friendly.All interactions with the Town and Con Edison were well communicated and scheduled to be done as quickly as possible despite the fact that this was the week of and after Hurricane Ida. This may have been facilitated by the fact that Robison had a good working relationship with third parties such as the Town and Con Edison.It was a pleasure to work with Robison and fully intend to be a continuing customer. In addition, I will be redirecting existing business I have to them going forward.I am happy to be a reference going forward.Thank you, Team Robison for quickly, effectively and professionally resolving a significant issue for our home.
Robison had to reschedule the annual maintenance service appointment a few days before it was scheduled due to an emergency. The original appointment was scheduled well in advance. I found this disappointing since I had taken time off from work to be at home for the appointment. The appointment was rescheduled to the following Saturday between 8 am and 1 pm. The technician arrived about 11:15 am. Once the technician got here he did an excellent job performing the annual maintenance on our furnace.
I have been a Robison customer for 18 years; I always shop for the best price, but Robison has always been competitive. They also offer several pricing plans that allow me to lock into a rate for the year that I am most comfortable with. For example, level billing, fixed or capped pricing options that protect me from market fluctuations. As for service, you can’t beat them. They are always responsive if I have an emergency, and they come when they say they will. Robison’s maintenance programs are also excellent and worth every penny. They are the key to making sure we have heat or A/C when we really need it. I highly recommend Robison Oil for you heating and cooling needs.
I’d give zero stars if I could. Tech called me to schedule appointment, I explained my wife is in the hospital in Manhattan and I need an early appointment. He said I’d be first of the day, 8am the following Monday. On the scheduled day I waited until 9:15 before I left for another appointment I had scheduled. That night I get an email that the job was completed (it was not). The next day I called and spoke to someone who rescheduled for two weeks later. The morning of that appointment she called 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment and left a message that the tech didn’t come in to work and there was nobody else to send.
The fellow waited for someone to come and open the house. He was very sensitive to the fact that I was trying to direct the service call remotely (RI) and depending on my employee or my friend to open up the house for him. The Robison office had not contacted me by text as I asked which caused a delay in my local helpers meeting up with the service tech. But thanks to his patience the call was saved. Five star example of a client friendly attitude by the service tech!!!!!
We ran out of oil and were told someone would be coming on Saturday, well Monday they came and the driver told me they had no trucks for Saturday so not sure why they even told us that.. Second thing I always got our ticket in the mailbox then started finding them hanging from the railing at the bottom of the steps. Other than that we have like dealing with them.
Robison replaced our furnace and central air conditioning unit. Very pleasant experience from start to finish. The installation technicians Andrew and Vin are very professional, courteous, neat, informative and respectful. Top notch service all around. I highly recommend Robison.
Considering my options. Need a technician that will actually fix my problem and not over charge me. I cant afford that.My wife and I have 3 young children and we bought a home with a new furnace 2 years ago. Furnace has been working fine all this time and Ive been buying my oil from Robison 98% of the time.Thankfully this winter season hasnt been the coldest yet however our furnace stopped blowing warm/hot air Early November (around November 6th). Called Robison up since I buy pretty much all my oil from them. Technician came for a same day emergency call and did a routine service and the furnace fired up after that. December 18th the furnace stopped blowing warm/hot air again. I called Robison again since they came not to much more than a month ago for the same issue. Technician came again and quickly diagnosed that my pump wasnt working and he changed it and things seemed to be back in operation againDecember isnt over, its the 26th and my furnace is having the same problem. it stopped blowing warm/hot air in the middle of the night.I am currently thinking Robison hadnt fixed the real problem and they are charging me every time I call to put bandaids on the issue. I can not afford to pay a THIRD TIME for another bandaid. I need a real technician who knows what theyre doing. The money Ive paid to Robison already thinking couldve fixed the problem. Not to mention what Im going to have to pay in electric for keeping space heaters on to keep the family warm.
Tim and Cesare just finished installing a home air with a home air/heat unit and a net new ductless system during the hottest week of the year. The work was clean and quick (came in a whole day quicker than the estimate) and they were able to stage the work in a manner that provided some cooling relief in the house as they did the work. I couldnt be more pleased with the professionalism and frankly the interest in ensuring we had a positive experience. Robison installed the original unit 20 years ago, they serviced it for 20 years without any issues and they replaced without any issues. This is why I singled sourced this job, I knew at the end of the day Id be pleased with the work and the product
I have had several experiences with Robisons technicians recently. Installation of a new hot water heater and, most recently, replacement of an oil tank that sprung a leak. They came the same day we reported the leak to clean up the area and install a temporary oil tank which was done well and very professionally. The day of Hurricane Ida, the technicians came to install the new oil tank. They came on time, were very professional and knew what they were doing. Every technician Ive dealt with is very knowledgeable and makes sure I know what theyre doing. I would recommend Robison for the quality of people they have working for them.
Very sad to say that Robison is not a reliable company. My hot water was gone on the weekend and as it turns out -- I had no oil. They have been regularly charging my ccard but as it turns out they were not regularly delivering the oil. No matter what excuse they give, the bottom line is that they stretch their delivery dates to the very last minute. NOT COOL if you end up being on vacation when you run out of oil.The technician and the delivery person were nice but other than that the way the company is run is horrible for consumers.
Robison is the best. I really appreciate that theyre still family-owned after almost 100 years.I made the mistake of switching to another dealer for a while; am back and very happy about it.An update: we had an old oil tank removed and replaced today; couldnt be happier! Mark and Ray are great guys, on time, very professional and cleaned up the area better than it was before. And the price was better than others I called. Thanks again, Robison!One more update: Jason R. stopped by today for our annual maintenance. Hes terrific; on time, very professional and really knows his stuff. Took the time to explain his work and alert me to what I needed to know. In my experience, Robisons team is just like Jason - they make all the difference.
Most recently (February 2022) Robison (Scott K, Joe Z, Matt M, Matt M) is now in the process of removing my old house A/C unit and ducts and replacing them w/a new unit, ducts and two ductless units. its a big and complex job. Tim Fernandez in sales put the proposal together and was able to get me a substantial rebate I believe due to the two ductless units - which I appreciate.as expected, the Robison team has been extremely professional, efficient, courteous and neat. these folks know what they are doing and it a pleasure, as usual, working w them and having them in my house. they work well as a team and show a lot of respect for each other. they are excellent representatives of the Robison brand.earlier post:i have been a robison customer for about 18 months and they continue to provide outstanding service and high quality products. you get what you pay for - as they say.all of the service people i deal with - phone, on-line or in my home - are professional, knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, and when on a service callin my home very respectful of keeping things clean like floors. they explain everything in plain english so somewhat complex issues are easy to understand.initially they installed the system 2000 oil burner. the service team was experienced (average 25 years w robison) and incredibly knowledgeable. they did a great job and, i believe as part of their QC, sent someone back to my house to make sure i was satisfied and that the install was proper.as usual, superb service and knowledgeable staff. could not be more satisfied with everything they have done for me.all of my interactions w phone staff and field staff have been excellent. they stand by their products and i very much appreciate that.on the coldest day of this past winter - 4 degrees - the thermostat shorted out at about 9:00 on a saturday night and by 11:00 it was about 50 degrees in the house. i called for service and the service rep showed up at 3:00am (i was given this time frame re his arrival) on sunday and swapped thermostats to solve the problem. a real lifesaver as the temp was dropping by the minute. thank you, robison.
I was able to book something quickly, thank you for that.. And I really thought the gentleman that serviced our home did a great job taking care of our issue and answering additional questions I had. Very informative and I felt heard and not rushed. Appreciate him and hope he doesnt go unnoticed. I just cant remember his name but please pass on if possible. Thanks
The techs are very nice and Knowledgeable. There was an issue posted last year which has been resolved. Michael Chernick, makes sure to listen to the customer and goes above and beyond to satisfy his clients. I am happy we have leaned from our experience and moved forward!
I paid a premium service plan and Robison has been nothing but a nightmare. From what I was later told , my oil was delivered to the wrong house, and then when I called to say my tank was empty they told me my oil gauge was broken. They continue to refuse to provide me an accounting of my charges for the two years I was with them, none of which I trust. Another time they caused an oil leak in my house which still months later smells of oil. I understand mistakes but the next day they did not return as promised to help deal with the leak.After all this when I called to cancel next years “service”plan , they originally threatened to charge me for three visits that were required after they caused an oil leak and later mislead me about oil deliveries.
Who looks forward to their annual oil burner checkup? I do. And thats because of the technician, Billy Capone. He not only does a terrific job but he explains in lay terms just how everything is doing and when he leaves you would never know he was there. Hes a great asset to Robison and while Im sure I could buy oil cheaper I know it would never come with a Billy Capone. Hence, like Billy, Im a loyal Robison customer, at least till he retires.
Caesar and Tim were absolutely fantastic. They nailed the installation, made everything ship shape and left zero mess. They communicated exactly what they were doing and how long it would take. And they were 100% spot on!HUGE recommend from me. Thank you very much, guys.
Horrible service dept. We were customers for years- and they installed a new boiler as well for us- now 2 years later we called to be customers again and the lady said sorry we havent had you in system since Feb 2020 so look elsewhere! We definitely will and all our prior referrals I will definitely call and tell them to look elsewhere too!
Robert showed up to clean my furnace and went above and beyond, was very thorough, and showed me how little the previous companies did for the last few years. It is a shame Robison doesnt treat loyal repeat customers as well as new customers so we could just stay with the company forever.
I have been a Robison customer for 17 years, maintaining a service contract on the homes now 37-year-old furnace and oil delivery. The service and response time have always been outstanding, and thats critical in the wintertime. With an older furnace, its important to have timely, expert-level service to rely on. In addition, the service technicians have been patient, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. Most recently, Larry I. -- I have seen his name mentioned here several times and a high-five to him for last weeks service!The patience is important because a few times, the lines from the oil tank were clogged and required manual pumping to clear them, as the furnace wasnt able to function. On several occasions, Robison performed this task to get things running again smoothly.I cant say enough about the quality of service received and Robison has never tried to perform service or sell me something I didnt need. Most recently, I had a chance to evaluate other service companies out there and the level of service for the dollar. None could profess that they were able to match nor provide an equivalent level of service on a service-contract basis. One famously advertised company said We try to get there the same day when posed with the question of a wintertime heating problem. That didnt cut it at all...While you can find cheaper service and home heating oil, none can match the level of service and expertise. If you have an older furnace that requires maintenance, I cant recommend Robison enough.
Service was on time; good Technician, however, I received an outrages electronic invoice for the service. This is not what I was told initialy that the maintenance will be around $260, Otherwise I will have yearly service contract !Please check your record.Thank youMounir Ibrahim
Jason, of Robison Oil, just pulled out of our driveway after a yearly maintenance service appointment. We were so pleased with his work ethic last year that we requested him this year. Jason is one of those dream technicians; polite, smart, considerate, great personality and has a wonderful knack for explaining overly complicated concepts. Mark and Ray did an excellent job from the moment they arrived on time at my home until they left at the end of the day. They quickly and efficiently installed my furnace, so I was not without heat for an extended period of time. When they were done, they explained the machinery to me and patiently answered my questions. These men were clearly pros, who were were skilled and knowledgeable. Whats more, they were friendly and polite and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I was very pleased with the overall service. Thank you!
At first Tim Fernandez was very attentive and responsive to our needs for HVAC installation. Once we signed the contract and gave the deposit, he disappeared. We then contacted Jean Weir, the installation administrative manager for assistance. She appeared receptive to our situation at first but is now completely unresponsive, not returning calls and holding up our entire house renovation. I absolutely do not recommend this company for an HVAC installation..
I really like working with Robison oil. I’ve only had really good experiences with them. They installed my new HVAC system. All of the employees that I’ve interacted with had been very professional courteous and knew there job. With the other companies, not so much. Different guy for the same job you need this you need that. Not with Robison. Straight forward, honest, no b.s. I definitely would recommend them to my friends and family. You can’t go wrong.
We were exceptionally happy with the service Jason provided. He went above and beyond cleaning our central AC - he took a lot of time educating us on our new equipment which was highly appreciated and not expected. Not only are our central AC’s cleaned, we also learned so much! Overall, we highly recommend Jason! 5 stars and A+!
Getting a reservation from Robison was the hardest part as it took nearly a month from the time we called until we could get a confirmed date.The Robison system in place which allocates responsibilities to the customer is not well-explained- -where the customer must order the filter and the service technician does not bring it with him . We have two filters-- a filter at the vent opening as well as at the air handler and the Robison system does not advise us as to which filter we should obtain. So it was a lost occasion as we obtained the wrong filter. Since Robison installed our Bosch A/C system last year. it is unclear to us why our filter needs are not known to them or in their records or why they would impose a burden on the customer to obtain a filer without making it clear.On the day of service, the technician, Dave, arrived promptly at the start of the service window, was very efficient and courteous and did a very professional job in servicing the unit and in explaining to us what he was doing. I rate him very highly compare with other service technicians we have used in the past
On February 27th 2021, Robison Oil made its annual service call for my oil furnace. At that time, it was determined by the technician that my tank was in such poor condition that Robison would no longer deliver oil until I was able to replace it.In an email dated March 3rd,Robison offered to install a temporary tank for a maximum of 45 days In order to accomplish the transition to a new permanent tank (although they indicated it could take up to 6 weeks to complete the process of securing a permanent replacement). This , for the low cost of $1,250. After the first 45 days, the lease of a temporary tank could be extended an additional 45 days for $1,500 (for a total cash outlay of $2,750). I found out later that the cost of the temporary equipment could offset the cost of the permanent replacement. I also understand that the costs cited above would not include temporary tank installation costs which are not an offset to the cost of a permanent tank.A few days later I spoke with someone at Robison who indicated a technician would call to follow up. I don’t have a record of ever receiving a call. Meanwhile, I was able to use the existing tank which held the remaining fuel oil and had NO leakage problem. On July 14th a similar email was received with the same offer for a temporary tank as the offer of March 3rd.I was very unhappy with what I considered to be a hostage situation, so I contacted a firm in Westchester which obtained the necessary approvals and installed a new permanent tank which was certified and inspected by town officials a month prior to my receiving the latest email on August 10th (a week after the first oil delivery!) from Robison to schedule an appointment to coordinate the installation of a replacement tank.After the replacement tank was installed, Robison came to my home on August 3rd and inspected the tank and cleared it for use. That same day, August 3rd, an oil delivery was made and two weeks later, I started receiving payment due notices via text for the August 3rd oil delivery.To say I am disappointed in this whole affair is an understatement. I have been a customer for around 20 years and my experiences have generally been positive, but this most recent experience has soured my view of the Company.
Weve had no heat on Sunday morning in our building.I called Robinson oilAnd a dispatcher answered the phone .Tech came in less than an hour and quickly fixed the problem.Then he called me and explained everything to me .the entire experience was great and I really appreciate that level of service .Dealing with Robinson oil in the past year and a half since we started with them ,was a very pleasant experience on oil deliveries and administration as well .
I would give negative stars if possible. I had a technician come on emergency service - he quickly identified the problem and was told it would be marked “priority”. I never received a call back, 3 days later I had to follow up, was told my ticket was mixed up with another customer, then the part that was ordered was “lost” by FedEx and I was told that I should track it myself. Every single step was a disaster, no one ever followed up - a simple issue became 2 weeks without any air conditioning. I understand things happen with supply chain, etc but this was the worst customer service I’ve encountered.
First, the company price gouged my family during a snowstorm.Right before a blizzard, our furnace stopped working. They charged my pregnant wife, my three-year old son, and I nearly $1,400 in total to replaced a burnt circuit board.Now, they are repeatedly harassing us, claiming that we only paid half the bill, despite the fact that we have credit card receipts for the entire bill.The worst company I have ever hired for anything.UPDATE: I am updating to reply to the companys response:Very important point here: you did not only reach out one time. You have sent us multiple bills. We have called your billing department multiple times. Each time they say the problem has been fixed, then we end up getting another bill. Then we call again and get the run around again. If we can go two months without getting another bill I will consider deleting the posts.
Service rep came to our home to install tank meter. I appreciated Robisons offer and the effort to install. However, the valve on our tank in our garage is permanently sealed and does not open. Tank is filled from the outside so meter could not be installed. Thanks for trying!Bob Sweeney
I have been with Robison for several years now and have finally found amaintenance company that is reliable for both the Oil burner and the A/C. Service has always been timely and if the window is going to be missed, because of an emergency, they will call to give you an update. Very considerate.
I use Robison for many services. They work fast and I am thankful that the have always been readily available for multiple home services. I wouldn’t use anyone else. I’ve used them for plumbing issues, hot water heater replacement, monthly oil services and many other reasons. I’m glad to be maintaining my home with them. I feel safe knowing I have their service a quick phone call away.
Larry from Robison came this morning to do the yearly servicing of my air conditioning system. Lucky for him he called about 30 minutes before arriving. (it was morning and i do not get up early) He was so nice. He replaced the filter for me as well as checking and fixing whatever needed to be fixed. He also went outside and looked at the compressor. More than anything I felt like he knew what he was doing ! When he was done I knew there would be no problems.....at least he A/C unit was in great shape. Thank you Robison for hiring such great people!!
Greg V is one of the most competent and qualified technicians employed by Robison Oil Company. I am a customer of Robison for over 25 years and when I know Greg is the technician coming to my home I am certain my issue will be resolved professionally, correctly and thoroughly. His knowledge and customer service skills are superior. Management you are fortunate to have such a qualified individual in your employe .
I changed to Robison Oil in January of 2020. I signed a contract for Oil only. The service so far has been great. A technician came to check the oil tank, my boiler, the AC and gave me an evaluation of my house. This didnt happen with the previous company I had.In June my AC broke down. The fan stopped working on a Saturday afternoon. I called the company that initially installed the AC and the owner told me that they were closed for the day and to call on Monday. I called Robison even though I didnt have an AC contract with them. I spoke with a representative about the issue and 10min later I got a called from a technician who booked me an appointment. A technician came on the scheduled day and time. He was very respectful, came wearing an N95 (this happened during the pandemic), checked the equipment and solved the problem. I was glad he fixed it because that day the temperature was 90 degrees.So far I only have good things to say about Robison and Im glad I switched to them.
My oil burner was leaking water and they scheduled a service call for the next day. The technician arrived at the earliest end of the time estimate and identified the problem. He had the necessary parts to fix it and completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. He was courteous and professional and wore a mask the entire time. The only negative is that the repairs were not covered under my service contract so I am out of pocket the substantial cost of the repair. That is the reason for 4 stars.
When you call Robison, you can press 1 if you are an existing customer, or 2 if you are a prospective new customer. When you press 1, you will wait at least half an hour. If you press 2, you will be connected to a live person in seconds. However, if that person finds out you are an existing customer, they will transfer you over to the 30 minute wait line.I get that Robison values non customers more than customers, and that’s why I am now a non customer.
We called Robison Oil to repair our AC unit. The temps were in the 90s, so we were pleased they were able to schedule us the following morning (we also had the option of after hours emergency repair). We were told by email, text, and phone that Jason was on his way. He had to work in the attic which must have been way hotter. Jason kept us informed of the progress every step of the way, and was able to get our AC unit up and running. During this time of Coronavirus, he made us feel safe with the precautions he took. He also asked us questions and checked to see if we had traveled to any areas where quarantine is necessary, to keep his next customers safe as well as himself.
Give 5 stars for Tech Williams aka Billy coming out doing a fantastic job, and his customer service. But I will give 3 stars to the remaining service I got from the office people. The constant run around and back and forth with lack thereof knowledge I dont care for. Also the oil delivery guy that came today 10/28/2020 awesome
Greg did a great job checking our boiler and oil tank. He is very thorough and patient. He goes out of his way to answer all our questions even if it’s not directly related to the oil tank. He also helped us install the oil tank monitor at no additional cost. We greatly appreciate Greg’s service!
Robison Oil Company sent out Larry as my Boiler Technician today to service the system. He arrived promptly in the AM, and was extremely professional both in appearance as well as demeanor. Larry was not only knowledgeable but very proficient. Larry conducted the service, diagnosed faulty parts, and replaced them all in a timely fashion. As a first time home owner Larry was patient. He took the time to not only answer all of my questions and address my concerns...... but took the time to explain the system and its operation in its entirety. While in the process of settling into a “new” house, my fiancé and I discovered the not-so-new central air conditioning unit was caked with mold. After weighing our options for addressing the issue, we agreed to replace it.We decided to go with Robison. We were told that the entire project, from dismantling and disposing of the old moldy system, to setting up the new compressor, running the necessary wiring, installing a pristine and more efficient A/C system complete with new duct work, supply/return vents and a digital thermostat would take five days.Throughout that week, Andrew and his Robison colleague, Scott, were completely professional in every aspect of the job. They were punctual and thoroughly prepared for each phase of this project. If I had any questions, Andrew, in particular, was always available with an answer. And equally open about explaining what they would be doing or seeking approval about some aspect of the job, like placing a new vent for instance.Of particular importance to me was how considerate both Andrew and Scott were about being in the house. Such a large project can’t help but be disruptive, but they made the experience quite painless and were great about cleaning up after each day. Best of all, they finished when they said they would.Although a shiny new A/C system may not be the first thing I’d invite guests to see in our “new” house, given the beautiful job Andrew and Scott did, it certainly could be.Thank you Andrew and Scott, we greatly appreciate the knowledge, dedication and skill you brought to your fine work. We were brand new customers to Robison (only a few days) when we encountered an issue. They came out quickly and addressed our needs. We had another appointment scheduled with a tech but the tech that came out had equipment in his truck and installed it for us right then and there so that we didnt have to wait for another appointment. Great service!
The Robison team, both in the office and here at our home, provided excellent service.We had a scheduled oil tank replacement that happened on time, efficiently, cleanly and perfectly in every way. I’ve never had any issues for the past six years I’ve used them. Prices are competitive if you prepay for oil. Technicians are always thorough and very professional and friendly at the same time. The annual maintenance price does go up every year, so that’s the only downside.

He clearly communicated what he was going to do, about how long it would take, and provided status updates throughout the process. He also arrived during the scheduled service window. Great service. Was left with an empty tankduring a snow storm from my old oil provider and was able to talk to a representative who signed me up and was able to deliver same day. Their website also makes it easy to keep up with bills and ordering refills. Really glad I switched

The duct-cleaning technicians came exactly on time. They were friendly and super polite, explained almost every step, did a very neat job, left everything clean and dust-free. What impressed me is that they worked the whole day and didnt take even a tiny break. I will hire the Robison team again without any hesitation!
Robison offered the best pricing for oil I could find. They make it easy to get your bio-fuel tax rebate and supply all the documentation necessary. When we had issues with the furnace or hot water heater they responded quickly, their technicians identified the issue and had the parts with them to make repairs. They were flexible and accommodating when we scheduled the annual service. Their people are friendly and responsive by phone or email. They always keep my tank full of oil and come out no matter what the weather is like. Highly recommend.

We had another great visit from Robison. Lou S. came for a regular furnace check. I had a couple issues/questions about it and he was so helpful and took time out of his day to make sure I was all good. We had an oil smell coming up from our vents. Scott came 10pm at night to help us. We thought it was out furnace. Scott ruled out the furnace after looking into it. Im so surprised to hear these reviews. Weve been customers for over 20 years and found them responsive, reliable and competent. They are available 24 hours a day (under our contract) and we HAVE needed them in the middle of the night. The techs come with a smile and Ive never had a problem. I would recommend them to anyone.Of course Id rather have gas, but our neighborhood doesnt have gas lines...not Robisons fault!

Robison has been great. They were recommended by our neighbor when we moved up from the city and lived up to expectations. They have always been reliable with service and deliveries (delivered on time during the cold snap), and their free home inspection was also very useful.. were planning on doing some more insulation work this summer as a result of that.

2022-01-25I am currently having 5 ductless mini splits (Bosch) installed by Robison. Tim Fernandez from sales came to my house and provided a timely quote and walked me through the whole process. The installers Chris, Matt and Eddie are knowledge about the product, installation process and respectful of our house. The installers took their time to ensure everything is in place correctly and helped coordinate with the electrician recommended by Robison. The process has been seamless and I would highly recommend Robison and the install team.

2022-01-22After the recent 5 degree temperatures one of our baseboard heating pipes burst from becoming frozen. On a Sunday, Robison made it to our house within 3 hours and helped me correctly shut down our boiler so no damage would occur. Since we didnt have any heat, Robison followed up with me first thing Monday morning (Martin Luther King Day) and had a plumber come to our home (his name was Art) to diagnose what was leaking and how to repair it. Art, the plumber, came up with a solution that was outside the box and not only fixed our existing burst pipe but also will prevent any further pipes from freezing in the future. All of the work was done at a very reasonable price. When all the plumbers I knew were too busy Robison was able to come and provide excellent trade skills by Art the plumber as well as reasonable pricing. It has been two days since the pipes were repaired and everything works great. Also, once the plumber had fixed the piping Robison had one of their boiler specialists come back and spend 30 minutes with me to ensure we turned the boiler back on the correct way. Anyone with multiple zones will know that all those levers and valves can get confusing and the last thing I wanted to do was any damage. Robison hit it out of the park on this job. Thanks for the professionalism and out of the box thinking by Art the plumber. My family really appreciated it.

2022-01-07Our hot water heater burst on Christmas Eve. We called Robison and they were here in no time. Unfortunately we had to go without hot water over the weekend, but on Tuesday we had a temporary hot water heater installed until the permanent one is delivered. All of the people at Robison were extremely helpful from the folks who came out to diagnose and replace the hot water heater to the supervisor who kept us apprised of delivery of the new water heater. We have used Robison for over thirty years and will certainly continue to use them for years to come. Thank you for your top rate service Robison.

2022-02-03The telephone operator is always very pleasant and helpful. Martinez the technician, is also very pleasant and helpful and informative. However, I had to make another appointment for a future visit. So I called twice and due to wait time I chose the option of having Robison call back but never got a call back. I successfully used this option in the past. Not sure why it didn’t work this time.

2022-03-01Danny is incredibly conscientious, took a lot of time to explain things to me, and kept in close contact so that we could make decisions on what to do in real time. He also is incredibly knowledgeable at his craft, and the amount of pride he takes in his work and the level of care he shows to his customers is apparent. He did an excellent job for us.

He worked on our A/C system for almost 2 hours and determined a small issue. He gave us some alternatives, including one that was least disruptive (we chose that one). I felt like he really cared and wanted to just educate us with options so that we could make an informed choice.Great customer service, as always.

2022-03-04I had a new boiler & hot water heater installed this week. The installation team was fabulous - the best Ive seen in 25+ years in my house. The work was done carefully, they explained everything to me, were kind, & left my basement the cleanest its ever been. 100% satisfied.

2022-05-10Although Robison charges high prices for fueling oil namely six bucks a gallon the service I received for checking some faulty ventilation was excellent. The tech got one vent working by removing an unneeded damper then diagnosed what we needed to repair the other vent. I am probably going to get screwed with labor costs in repairing the broken vent despite me being s long-standing customer but I am sure their techs will do an excellent job. I was very satisfied with the tech who came to check our vents Now I wish they could lower my fuel bills before I go on welfare.

2021-12-28Larry from Robison was an excellent technician. My boiler was in need of a regular cleaning. Larry went the extra mile in servicing and made sure that everything was performing adequately before he left. He was clean, courteous, and took the tile to answer all of my questions before leaving. He made my first experience with Robison a good one.
